In the woods of Minnesota, a cult leader married himself to 10 girls and forced them into a
secret life of abuse.
But in 2014, the youngest escaped.

Welcome back.
Like the OG sensei Carlos Miller would love to say, man, who always like to say, hey,
man, you know, got DC Young fly in the
building, you got Paul Mize in the building, you dig what I'm sayin?
Backwood backstage in the building down here in Dreamville man but it's not about us
right now we got some real legends in the building right now coming straight out of
New York City up Mount Vernon Vernon. It be exact.
Brooklyn, it be exact.
We got none other than Kai Cash and Nico Brill.
Yeah.
Talk the talk.
What's up, bros?
How you doing?
How y'all doing?
Sorry about that.
We're good.
How are y'all?
It's hot.
Yeah.
It is hot.
We feel amazing though.
We just came up the stage.
How you feel man, first performance at Dreamville?
Oh, first performance at the last Dreamville at that, bro.
That shit is amazing, you know what I'm saying?
Is this the last one?
Yeah.
Yeah, this the last one.
It's surreal.
That's supposed to be!
Oh, that's what I'm saying!
I think it was, but then I have to say, now it's not anymore.
Okay, okay. Well, it's one of them ones have to say it's not anymore. Okay, okay.
Well, it's one of the ones.
Right.
One of the ones.
But it feels great.
It's surreal.
Like, it's a dream.
Nico and I have been working very, very hard for a long time.
We cousins.
Right.
We can't be like blood cousins or just like Chris Brown's cousin.
Blood couldn't make us no more.
You know?
Yeah, blood was the best.
Right.
But yeah, no, it was fire.
We went out there and we just
seen people piling in as the show kept going on you know what I mean so like
just to see the reception up there for us to go up there as family and shut it
down like that shit is major. So being from New York you know there's a lot of
legendary rappers from New York do y'all feel a lot of pressure coming up to
being like the new school from New York?
Um yeah and no. I'm gonna say yeah because we're students of the game so we study you know the predecessors the people that come before us from the town but in the current climate it's like no
it's not really no pressure because it's tough. It's terrible. Right. It's terrible out there right now.
I feel like we like it's an opportunity to carry the torch.
Right.
If there's anybody I bank on, it'd be him and vice versa.
So, you know, we representing New York, but we just going to carry the torch and push
this shit forward.
Okay.
So who would you say are some of y'all musical influences?
I mean, I would say Nas for sure.
Tokyo Talk.
Nas Cole, you know what I mean, was heavy.
I had Mace, Big, Mary Jane Lodge, Jay Z, and now Kendrick.
Because you know what it is, bruh, everybody from New York stick with they people.
Yeah.
When people from the south, all I'm hearing is I heard nobody cross the
jane tonight.
To get more people to like outcasts and
fire.
And you know, when we go out there, we
do an audio thing.
I feel like there's a heavy inspiration
that I used to want to be juvenile.
When I was little, I used to take the
the winter fresh dumb rapper.
I got to talk to her way Winterfresh dumb rapper. Everybody had to talk.
We were all living the same life.
Just in different areas.
Y'all are sharing chemistry on stage.
Similar to what me and my brothers do.
Explain to the people how you guys share showmanship and understand like,
all right, it's time for my bro to shine,
let me back him up, and when it's time for me
to do my thing, he does the same.
I feel like it's about having a friendship first,
with anything, because it just allows you to grow closer.
We know each other as people,
before we knew each other as artists,
and I wanna see him move like I wanna see myself move, it's kind of easy for me to know like I the sneak moment
for him to know okay this is Cosmo. Same thing and I feel like when you when you have that type of
brotherhood with somebody's like you just know and you know how like when you do
with your boys like this nigga don't even got to say nothing. He better go great. I
see him on stage I say I need somebody to say the words, right? Right.
So, I'm gonna do the words, so.
You know, I feel like we just been doing it for so long,
like, you know what I'm saying?
Like you said, it's real love, it's respected,
so it just helps us navigate.
Most definitely.
Now you guys are at a time where you're starting to see,
you know what I'm saying, your dreams come true,
you're starting to see, you know what I'm saying,
your success rise.
Is there anybody that you guys want to work with?
Hell yeah.
They here!
Yo, yeah, so I'm missing out on them here now.
I'm on stage right now.
Seth, you gotta get over Ab. Seth, you wanna get over Cone.
Uh huh.
I was on the hook for Wayne Jordan with Wayne the Rapsody prior, but now I need a verse in verse with Wayne.
Hold on, time out, time out, time out, time out.
We never walk past that. He's talking that talk. Hold on, time out, time out, time out. You're not gonna walk past that.
You're talking that talk.
You on the hook with who?
With Rapsky and Wayne.
Yeah.
You his cash money.
What you talking about?
And I got a record with Corey Gus too, man.
See what I'm saying?
Talking that talk.
You talking that talk.
I would have to say Kendrick, Brent Fiers, J. Cole Drake, of course.
This artist, her name is Ari Lennox, I mean not Ari Lennox, but Ari Lennox, Alex Izee.
And I gotta get against the grills, you know?
Gotta get against the grills.
I gotta get against the grills, bro.
That's easy, that's easy.
See, that's all he can do.
So I have a question
if somebody was new listening to your music, what song would they need to hear?
they should hear Michelin Star
OK
they should hear For the Company
those records are for both of us
and we also do our own thing individually
right
so, I know for me you could listen to Southside Sunday, Bankroll, Marley, UCI, 07 Vent, The West,
What You Want, and Cash Loose is on the way. I was just going to say you guys got albums now.
Yeah. Cash Loose, what are you doing? April 25th. April 25th.
Woo! April 25th. You're dropping right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're gonna drop right now for the summer?
April 25th, come on. It's a backwards backstage. It's soo Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're gonna drop right now for the summer? This is for the 25th. Come on.
This is a backwards backstage.
It's juicy.
So can we get a sneak peek of features?
No.
Not just one.
Listen, listen, let me tell you something.
From being a historian of artists,
LeBron on that shit, man, by him saying no that fast,
it's a killin' man.
It's a killin' man.
It better be.
