So people who are, like, unfamiliar with you, how would you describe your music? Like, if we were to put on Pandora and type your name in, what other artists kind of would pop up that's kind of, like, in the same genre? I get, like, I get, like, Nick Grant a lot. Okay.

Like, young DMX a lot, you know what I'm saying? Or, you know what I mean? Even, like, some nods sometime, you know what I mean? So, yeah, like, I'm a lyrical rapper, but I got the ways to give you bops, too, though. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But, you know, it's a little bit along that way. I kind of stay balanced with everything, you know. Okay. So who is it that you would like to work with? Because, you know, one thing about it. We make shit happen on these couches. Hey. Hey, big dog.

You be acting on. Hey, man, if I had to say, man, shit, Erica Badoo, for real, for real. Ericabadoo. Yeah, that's the good one. You know what I mean? That's a good one there. You know what I mean?

Of course, Jay Cole. You know, that's the goat. Right. And then, man, Jay Z. Jay, that's the crazy one, though. Yeah. If you can make that happen, dog, you're the man. I mean, he's hearing it, you know what I'm saying?

He hearing it real quick. He might see this. He's right. So how did you start rapping? Yo, it was crazy. I actually started with, like, poetry and stuff like that. Okay. And then, you know, it just transitioned into music.

Just easy, you know what I'm saying? Because then I got into a pattern where it was just like, yo, I don't necessarily have to rhyme a lot. You know what I'm saying to do it. You know, just as long as people catch on to what I'm saying. and, you know, and understand my story, you know what I'm saying? So it started with that, and then I just built everything else after the... Okay.

So growing... Go ahead, ma'am. I was just going to say, so growing up, who were some of your favorite artists? Most Deaf, Bone Thuss in Harmony, 3-6 Mafia, shit, Outcast. I love that you have, like, a wide variety. Yeah, yeah. You know everybody. You're like the first person that kind of, like, went to everybody.

Yeah, I kind of, like, balanced it out, you know what I'm saying? Like, I was raised on the East Coast. Of course, you know what I understood what was going on in the South, too. I always felt like the South always had that flavor and shit, you know what I'm saying? I was like, you know, they got that swag. And you know what I mean? You know what I'm going to? Yeah, they had that swag, you know what I mean?

So, yeah, I just kind of gravitated to every area in that aspect. But I'm just a student of the game in real time, for real, for real. Talk, your talk. So do you got any projects that's coming out? What should we be expecting, brother, man? Yeah, I got a second project on the way called Never Late Is Better. It's the sequel to last project I just dropped Called Better Late Than Ever

I had some crazy names on there Like Smoke Dizza I'm in Oswald Benjamin Dang man A lot of production It was fire as well But yeah I'm just looking to stay consistent You know me and Lutin

You know what I'm saying Slump County as well We're trying to take that to another level as well too So before we go I want you to talk a little bit more on that Like how did that collaboration come about Like, how did you even get up with Luke? Like, how did you even get around that situation?

Man, my manager and his manager actually go back, way back from, like, I don't know if y'all ever heard of a group called Little Brother with Ninth Wonder. Uh-huh. Yeah, I heard of Night Fourner. Yeah, they're like a heavy group out of North Carolina, and they go way back. So it was just one of them situations where it was like, it was kind of meant to be like a family tree in a sense. It's like, oh, I managed by him and then he's managed by this person.

So we all kind of met. But, like, the first time we kind of met, like, the first few years, it wasn't even, like, on no music. And it was kind of just on some, yo, that nigga cool. Like we on some homies shit, you feel me? And then they built into music and it became genuine then. And so now it's like turning into like, you know, like he got this imprint called Slum County and he's trying to build it and put dope artists from North Carolina on it, you know what I'm saying, and build it up. So that's where it said it now.
