And I'm not even about the long talking there.
Starting point is 00:02:47 We got none other than Mazee right here with us at the BET Awards. Double cup Mazzy, man. What do you do? Appreciate y'all having a nigga, for real. No, first of all, welcome home yeah welcome how you been i'm platinum edition i can't complain you know what i'm saying talk that shit you got to talk that shit man i knew he's about to get real bad in here yeah i'm saying naturally naturally man look you back streets is waiting on you yeah man you're killing the
Starting point is 00:03:20 social media right now come on they just they're breaking down all your boys and saying you you're one of the best when they come to making the pain music and the real street shit man Where do you get your inspiration from to keep going, to keep pushing, to keep giving the streets what they need? I think I say I get it from them institutions. You know, them J-Pays, they go crazy. Them penitentiaries, they're waiting on it more than anybody. When I be seeing the homies come home after doing 10, 12 years, I don't even know them. They're from the different side of the flag, and they just embrace me wholeheartedly.
Starting point is 00:03:55 You know what I'm saying? They let me know I didn't help them get through a couple bids. or you know them years they don't walk them calendars down to my music and you know that's I think that's the that's why I get most of the just the motivation to keep pressing because it'd be a lot of times where I'd be like I'm tired of this shit man I'm for the far back but they give me that inspiration to know you're not connected with somebody most definitely yeah yeah it's bigger than that you're from the other side fucking with it too come on that's when you know how hard
Starting point is 00:04:22 you got to be going come on who don't even fuck with you yeah me Nick, don't even fuck with you, fuck with the shit. Ain't he supposed to be fucking with this shit, man. That shit too real. Then niggas just stop giving the fuck, man. I don't give a fuck, man. I listen to him. The nigga rap his ass out, man.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Definitely. Hey, man, is there anybody that you looking forward to seeing this year I had to be to the awards 2020? No, I'm tired of all these ugly-ass niggins made. He's home! Yeah, I didn't worry about none of these niggas made. What about some of these niggins' made? What about some of these?
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah, what about the women? I ain't going to lie. You know what I'm saying? I got my eye ain't fin to do. I ain't going to name drop. We ain't going to name drop. Hey, but look, though, I'm a fan of your gangster. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:05:07 When they told me I had to sit down with you, I said, oh, it's a gangster party. I'm functioning with the thugs. Most definitely. Man, we got much love for you, man. Hell yeah. Been out here rapping and look, man, like California, the whole musical landscape is changing, man. For sure. Where do you see yourself in the midst of the church?
Starting point is 00:05:25 change? Most definitely top ranked, big dog, but I'd just be trying to influence the young life, you know, because right now it's a lot of, it's gangster rap, and you know, the West Coast being known for gangster rap, but the difference is these niggas is going to jail and they're really getting spanked in real life. It's like a nigger running up a bag and he fumbling it. And so my whole thing is just showing the young life, like, you know, even though we cut from that cloth, nigga, you can still elevate, you can still, you know, run up a bag, bed, go buy some property, you know, enhance your style of living
Starting point is 00:05:59 and longevity. You can actually be here, nigga, you could wiggle and stiff form that system and judicial system. So basically, giving them game that, you know what I'm saying, that probably before, it went giving the game like that. Now, let me ask you this, though. You said the term gangster
Starting point is 00:06:15 rap. If you're a gangster, you're rapping about anything, ain't that gangster rap? Oh, I like that. If you're, oh, I like that. If you're a, And you rapping about anything, nah, but you know, the gangsters ain't going to feel anything. So I think gangster rap is for the gangsters, you know, that's, you connect with the gangers. But see, you can have a gangster rap that ain't violent.
Starting point is 00:06:37 It don't have to be violent and still be gangster rap. And that's what type of time and I've been on. Where it's just like. Because they're like, we know Miser a real nigga. Yeah, we ain't got to talk about, you know, splattering the niggins or nothing like that. I think it's more gangster when you don't do that. When you just get like Kendrick, he just wrapped his ass off. He didn't have to threaten the nigger or get violent.
Starting point is 00:06:58 You're right. He just outwrapped the nigger. I fuck with the baby. Exactly. And you know he'll spike him a rapper. Yeah. So no, whatever he's rapping about is gangster rap. I'll fuck with that.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I fuck with that. I see your perception. I'm fucking with you on that. Yeah. Because I remember like when they started using the term gangster rap to try to like degrade rap music. Because if it's just, you see how they do when rap, like when anybody get in trouble.
Starting point is 00:07:25 It could be Jeremiah Sean Kingston what they're going to say he is. It's the gangster rap. It's to try to put the image.
Starting point is 00:07:33 And they're influencing the kids. Right. You ain't listen to them that motherfucking sing about love. Come on.
Starting point is 00:07:39 How they do? Kids like music because they like it. They don't even understand a lot of the shit that's being said. Kids don't like
Starting point is 00:07:47 music based on the lyrics. They like the music based on how it make them feel, how they can turn up and it's just a bonus. if you got some shit
Starting point is 00:07:56 that's catchy enough for some kids to learn. Yeah. But the people you're connecting to on some other head they're in the pain and stuff like that they see it from that side
Starting point is 00:08:04 with all angles. The music is the music. The music is the music. But like you said, the ones that connect, the ones that shed tears, the ones that aggressively, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:13 bring me in for a hug. You know, it's the ones who actually identify with exactly what I'm saying. That's why I was, that's why I was spend that shit like that.
Starting point is 00:08:22 But you wanted a few rappers that, even when you had to go sit down, the streets waited on you. They still kept your music going. You ain't have to like light your fire again. Yeah. So like, now that you're back
Starting point is 00:08:35 and you're free, like, what are you doing, what are you doing to make sure that you stay out here? You know, they still got me on federal stipulations. They stiff as shit. But you're outside, though. I'm outside, though. I ain't going to lie. I feel like we don't beat up
Starting point is 00:08:51 outside our region enough. You know, we get caught up in our little, our little our little city, our state, and we don't get outside of enough. I've been, I've been rich for 10 years, and I ain't never been to Africa, Dubai, UK, et cetera. Yeah. I don't love you over here. I ain't got no stamps on a passport. So that's what type of time and I'm on.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I want to stamp. I want to tattoo that passport up and just see what the world look like, man, function with it on that type of time. They don't give you a different outlook that even start talking about. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because you got the ability to connect with people all over the world, and that's amazing. bro knowing that you came from when you came from you've been through what you've been through
Starting point is 00:09:29 and you still got the positivity like your energy is amazing appreciate that we don't want to see you be nothing but successful come on come on maz it was some artists you listened to like that that inspired you to talk that pain talk the messy mars the jacca puck rest of peace is jacker most definitely uh Wayne uh DMX rest in peace X yeah uh you know I I come from that type of cloth. That's the type of shit I was on. That makes sense. I can see that.
Starting point is 00:10:00 It transitioned. Yeah. So, Mazzett, we came up with a segment for these interviews while we out here at the BET Awards. And it's time for us to get to the segment. Come on. And that segment is called, man, the fuck you got on. The fuck you got on. Just break it down.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Just break it down. The fuck you got on. All right, well, you know, I ain't one of them super cute ass niggas, man. You see what I'm Stugging I'm stugging So I got Balencii Ago on Even though they banned us
Starting point is 00:10:31 I mean they banned them They said we ain't supposed to wear Balenci Nick I'm wearing Balenci The bitch bodied Yeah I could Okay
Starting point is 00:10:37 Hey What's laying on the shirt though You know what I'm saying Oh There's something light On the Monday night I ain't got nothing going on man
Starting point is 00:10:46 You see what I'm seeing But it's passing All Diamond Tess For shit show I think it came from Who my boy Benny Baller in them I'm Hutchie.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Okay, from Hutchie. You know, I got them flare joints on. I'm saying, I'm trying to adapt to the young life, nigger, before they start calling me Big Unk. Yeah, okay. I got the cocaine, the brick of them foces on. Man, they're fresh out of the box. Yeah, something like.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Green face rolling. Oh, man. 2024. Put it to the camera. Put it to the camera. Yeah, 224. I'm saying, we're a year behind. I don't wear about it.
Starting point is 00:11:20 We're going to updating. Yeah. But I'm just fucking around. I ain't on shit. Nah, you popped it on them, no. You ain't with all that super cute ass shit. Nah, I ain't with all that super cute ass shit. I'm saying, I'm still black hoodie, black force type energy.
Starting point is 00:11:38 You know what I'm pretty thugging? Hey, man, when the new shit on the way. New shit, probably like, give it 30 days in a wake-up. 30 days in the wake-up. Intrusive thoughts, part two. I got a couple features on there, Hancho, Millies. Ooh, you in Hancho? I know that one.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I'm trying to alley-yup this play with a E-S-T-G. Okay. And, you know, lock-in for a whole project. He wanted the dopest to do it. He wanted them niggas I feel. One of them people that I was, you know, when I was behind them walls, I was slapping. So you were listening to. Yeah, I function with him heavy.
Starting point is 00:12:14 I'm just cooking. You know, I'm big on catalog. Back to, back, to, back, to, back, to back. I'm just trying to see what the monthly checks do, man, after I drop another 10 piece. So, Miles, you want to fuck with artists that you actually fuck with. I got to. We're not forging shit.
Starting point is 00:12:29 You know what I'm saying? We got to function with it. We got to be relatable. And we ain't doing it for political reasons. We got to be locked in for sure. Who are some of the other artists you got to get one in with? Who I need. Who I need.
Starting point is 00:12:46 I ain't going to lie. I've been grabbing everybody that I genuinely function with. But fact. Y-T-B fat. Y-T-B-Fat. Yeah. Yeah, I functioned with him heavy. I like the new D.
Starting point is 00:12:59 You know what I'm saying? The zillionaire duck. Oh, okay. Oh, he's in Texas, ain't he? Yeah. Yeah, okay. Who else I've been functioning with? You know, Luch home, we just cooked up.
Starting point is 00:13:10 That's one of my favorite artists. Why ain't Lucci? Yeah. Ride wave. I need something with Rideway. Man, y'all gonna have too many niggas crime, bro. Too many niggas crying. Yeah, y'all, come on.
