Just came from the gym. Word. What's gym? On my gym, Mustafa's a boxer. Over there on the east side, Glenwood Road. So you was in your gym. He was like, hold on, let me go catch. I got to go do this there.

Oh, I bet, man. So what's going on, man? What made you come to the east side of Atlanta and open up a boxing gym? That's where they're at. Yeah. That's where they're at. When they come to boxing, I always wanted to have a gym

where in the hood, you know what I'm saying? The trench babies. That's where you can find the little youngsters who are mean. Yeah. Got something to prove, you know what I'm saying? Probably ain't got nothing, so they're gonna fight for something. You know what I mean? And get my way out instead of that, you know what I'm saying?

The street. What's up? How do you get introduced to the boxing game in general? My family, my grandfather fought, my father fought, my uncle. I fought as a kid. So I always love my father, my first love. What you mean you fought as a kid? I fought about 75 amateur fights.

As a kid? As a kid. Just be a boxer, yeah. What age? About eight and about 15, 16. Oh, okay. 75? Yeah, that ain't too much, but yeah.

And not a lot of fights for amateur? Nah. Oh, okay. Shit, that's like average. It's like four lifetimes of fights. That's what's up, man. Like, damn. So you just, how there's been going through all the pandemic and all that, man?

I know people starting to slowly move and go back outside. Yeah, yeah. Well, actually through the pandemic, we kept rolling. Word? Yeah, we train outside. We train everywhere. I'm saying, my man Matro, my best fighter, I'm saying. So me him, we follow.

I was just watching his clip. He's a problem. That niggas a problem. Really? Body jab gets his head off the line with a taller guy like Jaden Booth. That works out for him. That works out for him. That works out for him.

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Wow. That was a devastating knockout by Dakari Scott. He's out. It's over. Fight is over. Dakari Matrick, Scott lifts up to his name

How long you've been training McTruck? About three years. Yeah, so he came to you, just raw, straight-heim-jured. He had to train before that. Right. But sometimes it don't work out. So we came with me, and then we just,

connection instantly. I've been like them. But it was there already. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He had raw, what he had, natural. Right. It's a posthum, a little bit, show a couple of things. More or less became like a father figure type day.

And that's what it is, you know what I'm saying? Being comfortable, being confident, and let it rip. That's what's up, man. He's your only fighter that y'all got in the camera right now? No, no, no, I got about, I'm loading. I got about 20 fighters, man. Word? Yeah.

That's what's up, man. So it's like, clearly that the, you know, your movement is catching on. Yeah. And people are starting to hear more and more about it. So it's like, tell us about the movement that y'all got going on over there at the gym, and how it got started and who's involved and how you found these talents.

And give me one of them cool-ass stories where you found to grow-ass talent off. So I got three kids, fourth kid on the way. Okay, first of all. You know, this is how I started. I'm on number six now, but this is how to- You're on number six? Okay, next.

You like making them kids, huh? Yeah, I love them. That's me. What's up, man, I'm saying? So money tight, I got a job. I'm trying to find a job. I go through a job interview. They ain't hired me, I got a background.

Some felonies, you know what I'm saying? So I'm driving home, I don't wanna go home with that pressure on me. I see a sign for a boxing gym. Like I said, boxing my friend loves. So I go in just to kind of like steam off my chest and just felt like, you know what I'm saying? This is why I belong anyway.

Right. So I started grind, start training. I never got a job since then. It's overwood. So I started at another gym, Grand Night City. It's in the Ellenwood. Hold on, hold on. It's clearly a lot happening right there.

Well, the job interview, it didn't work out. I go to the gym. Just to blow off steam pretty much. When I get in there, it's like, it's perfect. I ain't going no more jobs anymore. I can train really well. Okay. Tell my lady, it's overwood.

Got good news and bad news. Bad news ain't no job. Good news, I found a gym. Ain't no women, they're like, what, the gym? Right, right, because I'm like, baby, I do this, you know what I'm saying? Ah, this what I do, I got you, you know what I'm saying? Four kids deep.

Four kids deep, the pressure, you know what I'm saying? Right. But this is what I do. I do this 24-7. So you get in the gym and you start training other people? I'm training, I'm getting them right, you know what I'm saying? And my name kind of getting a little butt, I'm pretty good at, you know what I'm saying?

So my name getting the buzz, growing, growing, growing. And so my name, I'm getting the bus growing, and so. So it's like, I've been in prison for nine years. So I really love getting with the youngsters, I'm saying, helping them not go that way anyway, you know what I'm saying, talk to him, get him another way out. So it was like, I'm getting paid, do I love anyway.

You know what I'm saying? So it was almost like perfect timing. Just moved to Atlanta, you know what I'm saying? So it was over with. Through that, I moved to Jim on Gresham Road. The gym closed down. Right. And so, I'm talking my own gym.

It's small, but it's perfect. It's perfect. I got, probably right now, the most popular gym in Atlanta. Everybody come to Atlanta, they come to my gym. I've seen a lot of clips of people stopping through that, man. You've got a few celebrity clients that come through and get in shape right quick. It's a real gym. It's not a commercial gym, but there ain't no...

It's real work going on. I don't care who you are. I don't care who you are. you're going to grind and you're going to kick it. Like, who's been some of your biggest teachers in there?
