For My Heart Podcasts and Rococo Punch,
Starting point is 00:00:46 this is The Turning, River Road. In the woods of Minnesota, a cult leader married himself to 10 girls and forced them into a secret life of abuse. But in 2014, the youngest escaped. Listen to the Turning River Road on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2020, a group of young woman found themselves in an AI-fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos.
Starting point is 00:01:13 It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body part. This is Levitown, a new podcast from IHeart Podcasts, Bloomberg and Collideroscope, about the rise of deep fate pornography and the battle to stop it. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Find it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We got to hurry up. What happened? He just got the phone call.
Starting point is 00:01:39 What the fuck you were? She rang your head? Huh? She rang your head, my black? Nah, man, it's my turn to take over. He got to the next shift. I'm on the next shift. He just woke up.
Starting point is 00:01:52 We'll jump it off right quick. We ain't going to take too long. Breaking news. We're breaking news here live at the 85 South show today. Breaking news, man. Breaking news, it's... You know, sometimes we have to sit down and catch everybody up on what's going on,
Starting point is 00:02:14 and we have to bring this guy out, man. He don't like to be on this side of the camera too much. Tragic or thing. Come on, man. Love the gang violence, man. Come on, my boy, gang violence. Come on, my boy, gang violence. Come on, man.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Go ahead and drop the info, man. You know what you're here for, man. We ain't going to long talk him. Oh, no, we just, um, we just dropped the streaming service. That's all. That's the, bruce. I hate me, nigga. I ain't excited.
Starting point is 00:02:43 I'm excited about... Heart being. Bean. I feel it. No, I feel good. The heart being like the motherfucker. No, it's beating pretty normal. I'm excited about dropping streaming service.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Most definitely, man. Yeah. Well, Chad, man. Don't be modest, man. What do you say some of the pluses of having a streaming service? Well, for us as a business? Yes, I'm the business perspective. Well, the goal is that, you know, the creators have more control of over the things that they create.
Starting point is 00:03:14 So the traditional model is that you have an idea and you give it to somebody else so they can fund it, but they get to own it. So you get a one-time check by they make a bunch of things. residual checks. So we've taken that power back by creating our own platform. And then hopefully being able to offer this platform to as many creators that like to work with us as well. Talk to your top. So we're building our own network? Yeah, well, it's built. So we have the foundation. We're working through the kinks. We're reading all the comments and the feedback. What can the consumers expect? Exclusive content from us. So the live shows that we shoot, But we put more, you know, money into the budget to make it the experience that can be comparable to a, you know, an HBO special or Netflix special.
Starting point is 00:04:02 So all the live shows will be found exclusively there, but we're also working on our own, you know, original programming as well. Like what you got over there? So it's going to be 85 soft, like produce? Yeah, everything is producing on by 85 South media. Right. Ooh. That's something of the show. I ain't know y'all gonna produce it.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Yeah, we're working over here, man. Okay. Yeah, so it's not just the live shows. Production company. Yeah, Fly's got some shows. Loves got some shows. Clayton got some ideas. Chico got some ideas, man.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Obviously, we want to reach out to more creators as we, you know, build and grow the network. Maybe put your show on the platform. I don't need any shows. I was speaking like... Oh, for them, yeah, yeah. Damn, my. Snick and hip, boy.
Starting point is 00:04:47 I already turn it down a deal. No, no, no. No, no. I don't want to be up here. Good, because you're not going to be. It's a princess. It's a press test. I just can't see it happen. It's a what?
Starting point is 00:04:59 It's a press. Nah, but for real. No. You, show, I don't need a show right now. We all got guys with a press test. I thought you meant, you know. I thought you meant my fault. I apologize. No, but we didn't get some good things.
Starting point is 00:05:09 That means he got a show. He got a show. He got a show. He got a whole round of the TV show. Guys, listen. I can put my whole family on the on the TV platform. Okay? Nah, nah.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Hey, man, but on some real shit, I do want, we got to find out a way to do like a ghetto love show. Yeah. Yeah? Come on, man. Rom-com. What you mean? Like some flavor, love type shit?
Starting point is 00:05:30 No, like blind date type shit. That shit be going bad now, eh, man. Like the show blind date? Yeah. We need to do, like, catfish, like, comment, like, people who be thinking that gang's in the comment, pull up on them. How about, how about this? No.
Starting point is 00:05:43 No. This 8-08. You 8-08, you 8-08, right? No, no, no, no, come here, Camel, you gangster, right? 808, Tennessee, right? This is you. You said, fuck you in the comment. And you're nine years old, my boy.
Starting point is 00:05:59 A nigger put up on you, my boy, you hear me. I need you to stay in school. No, no, you got to bring another nine-year-old to whoop his head. But see, that'd be too much, some people. But see, you see, my nephew, he'll beat your ass, my boy. But, see, we didn't come up here on that. You feel? I don't want you to know.
Starting point is 00:06:15 You need to change your life around. We're just pitching ideas. Okay, how about this? How about the opposite of catfish? How about... What's the opposite? The opposite. We take motherfuckers...
Starting point is 00:06:27 We take motherfuckers who've been flirting in the DMs and then we make them meet for real. Oh, all that bullshit. Yeah, no emojis. You got to be in that niggas. This is going to be awkward. Sometimes it don't be the people. It'll be other people up on the four pages.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Yeah. And this is what you're going to see. You're going to have to figure it out. Damn. I got all kinds of ideas. I got this show called Flood Out. You already know it that's about it. I'm not about to push down.
Starting point is 00:06:57 If you can't pay for your ticket, you can't, you can't do too much. No, it's going to be. You can't cheese. It's going to be if you fly out a bitch, and if she can find her way back without no help. She went. She got to find her way back without no help. That's a kidnap.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I'm going to fly you out since. And he's you in the middle of nowhere. That's kind of stranded, Nick. That's crazy. He just left me at the gas, that's a bitch like, he just pulled up. Fire you ain't bitch! Okay, I got one show idea.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think it might be too raw, though. Too raw. It might be too raw. Well, that's what, that's why we made, right? It can be too raw. You can rate it. You can rate it too raw. Two raw.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Rated T.R. Okay, this is the concept. But we take single people, right? Single people. $1,000. You got to let somebody go through your whole phone. Hell now. If you're a dude, it's got to be a chick.
Starting point is 00:08:03 I guess a chick, there's got to be a dude. It's got to be your, your real phone. No, but it's just any girl. It's a random girl. It's not your girl. You can't go in any single. No, you're single. You're single.
Starting point is 00:08:13 It's right then, oh, single. I'm single. I don't give a fuck. You just be looking at the $1,000 ain't enough for that. Somebody going to be homeless after that. Keep scrolling. You don't want to see this shit that's your girlfriend. Ah, that's my dick. You don't want to see the shit that's where I put my dicks.
Starting point is 00:08:35 All my dick picks are right in the middle. You don't want to see your girlfriend. He's going to be a video of a whole shit. You're like, that's what you're going to. Oh, okay. Okay, not that one. Not that one. That's what you like.
Starting point is 00:08:50 All right. What's your pitch? You ain't shit, bitch. You ain't shit. Man, huh, man? Take your fucking phone. I only, give him the five boss, too, man. I don't even want to play.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Only do I sign up. This shit. Open the dog. What's your pitch, man? Oh, man, so it's going to be, uh, it's going to be, uh, it's going to be like a goddamn black mirror where each story is going to be goddamn different. But it's going to be them stories about Atlanta, like legendary stories that you might not have never heard, or even some urban legends that you might not have heard about some different people.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Because think about how many stories you'd have heard just from your own neighborhood. And think about how many stories, and think about how many things, like, this city got too much to pull from and it don't get represented, you know what I'm saying? That's fat. That's fine. Yeah. So they might be, you know, semi-connected, interconnected, but he's stand-alone little story, a little 30 minutes. And you're putting niggas-on, and you're giving them lots of little history.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yeah, yeah. It's in the time. We get too much time in the city. In form of them. Yeah. Yeah. What's your pitch? Oh, mine is to pull up on the people that's in the comment.
Starting point is 00:09:55 And everybody talks shit in the comment. All that, I don't turn 5,000 to a thing. Bitch, listen. You ain't turned shit in the name, my boy. I'm going to give you to stop, post it. Where's that? We're pulling up on you. Where is that?
Starting point is 00:10:11 Look, look at 5,000 into nothing, my boy. See? We'll fuck around and do it. a whole goddamn investigative journalism piece on that shit and find out that that's a company out of Indiana and they are being paid
Starting point is 00:10:25 $17 million to post that shit in everybody's comments. That means Instagram is allowing them to. Oh yeah. Because they're acting like they can't They got a contract with them. That's actually what y'all talking about is a good show.
Starting point is 00:10:39 That's the investigative shit and you figure out how scams work or why this shit is scam right now. And it's going to be the Indian motherfuckers bunch of time. I know they behind that warranty shit, too. I know they behind the warranty shit too. They just got a good accent. They
Starting point is 00:10:54 have worked on their American accent. Hello? It's me. Joseph. Shut up, man. You ain't Joseph. I got one, but I ain't going to pitch it. We're going to have to talk about that bitch, I'm caring. I know this shit going to go hard. It's going. This shit going to hit so hard in the community.
Starting point is 00:11:11 What? What's your pitch, Kat? Oh, look. I got to let them know who it's coming from. This is coming from Kett Shorts. It's Blue Jean Capri Shorts. Right, right, right. Do that, but in the hood, though. Like, with them crates and shit like that.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Not the crate challenge. Can't want to say a nigga buzz the head. Cat, you're doing too much. Quet challenge the TV show. Cat, not right out the gate, bro. Not right out of the gate. See a nigga fall from 60 feet. Cat, cat thinking the danger shit.
Starting point is 00:11:45 All life life. I feel like to see them fall on their goddamn crates. That shit is no one in North Dakota. You're going to take your head. No, you got to build that whole course. You got to build like a course, though. You got to build that shit air with my black. That shit big.
Starting point is 00:12:08 And then, you know, the four parts take two weeks. I want to do a docu series about women who used to be fine. You know what? I'm talking about women who was cold as a motherfucking in their time. Oh, man. Not no Modo. You know what I thought about? What's it going to be called?
Starting point is 00:12:22 Unfat. It's called Not No Modo. That's hilarious. But you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to do like a mini-darky series on like crack heads and shit, but like replay the story that they tell her. How they got on Cricks. Yeah. I mean, not just how they got on quick.
Starting point is 00:12:41 And I all got like a great-ass story. But you know, I used to be the bad basketball player now. Come down that thing, will, way, way. Now, Jay, go back in time. Come down that thing, well, well, way. Jump back. Look at the bitch, nigga, at the bitch. You're a bitch.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Hey, I love it. I want a green light them right now. I love this. I love this, I love this, Lord. So you're going to get it from a real crack again. You're going to tell it. He's going to sit him down. He's going to do the audio.
Starting point is 00:13:12 It's going to be a real crack game. You know he ain't going to know where to see. Ram, my God. Right. Got my mic. Got my mic. Yeah, you know, they're gonna be on TV. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:13:21 No. I really. Greene like this. Yeah, I like it, man. Yeah, that's a good idea. That's a great. Yeah. What?
Starting point is 00:13:29 I go down the coil, whin, well, well. Bid. Bitch. But I missed the shot. We got a lot of shit. Don't pitch no more shit, brats. Don't pitch no more shit, brats. They're going to be in a shot.
Starting point is 00:13:46 stole all these ideas. And I'm going to pull up on me. For My Heart Podcasts in Rococo Punch, this is the Turning, River Road. I knew I wanted to obey and submit, but I didn't fully grasp for the rest of my life what that meant. In the woods of Minnesota, a cult leader married himself to ten girls and forced them into a secret life of abuse. Why did I think that way? Why did I allow myself to get so sucked in by this man and thinking to the point that if I died for him,
Starting point is 00:14:24 that would be the greatest honor. But in 2014, the youngest of the girls escaped and sparked an international manhunt. For all those years, you know, he was the predator and I was the prey. And then he became the prey. Listen to the Turning River Road on the IHeart Radio,
Starting point is 00:14:46 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2020, a group of young woman in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI-fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on my body parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up.
Starting point is 00:15:10 I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting this series took us through the darkest corners of the internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy.
Starting point is 00:15:35 And I'm Olivia Carvel. This is Levitown, a new podcast from IHeart Podcasts, Bloomberg and Collideroscope. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Starting point is 00:17:30 They nigga here, Mr. Wall Street. I came down the course. What I'm a man? Bitch. That's exactly what we did when we brought their merch back to Atlanta. Wham, well, well, well, this, man. All right, my bad. So, yeah, we are, in the name of more independence.
Starting point is 00:17:49 We moved, we had a fulfillment operation going on out of L.A. We had a third part of the fulfillment company. So to all the people that we've messed up a couple of orders, we're still getting those right. We're still going through the emails and the DMs, making sure we got your stuff right. But we moved the whole process back home. We've hired some people to be able to manage all those operations.
Starting point is 00:18:08 for us, but that allows us to be able to get stuff to y'all faster. We can turn some designs around faster. Yeah, yeah. As past as Amazon, same day. Same day. Four o'clock, today. You order it at new. You got a thousand cycle, man.
Starting point is 00:18:25 You're going to have it on your body. Six p.m. You'll wake up with the outfit on. That's not true. That's not true. V. Got a big 85 apparel. No, this is.
Starting point is 00:18:38 You order it or when you wake up, it's on your body. No, that's not true. This podcast is for. On your body. On your body. It feels close to it the same day. Damn it. They might pull up tomorrow, though.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Yeah, well, probably not, but it'll probably happen to about three to five business days. And that's adequate. Yeah. And sometimes it'll happen the same day, just randomly. It's just like a lottery. We pick one person. First thing, they did they shit. No, okay.
Starting point is 00:19:10 But what they allow us to do, too, is we want to... Somebody ordered got fucked up, and they liked it. Niggins shit, me a DM. Boy, I order one of these, bitch, but y'all sent me two of them. I show both y'all. That's why I poachers and y'all real neat. Buy one and get one. But it wasn't on the site.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I ain't have no creep on the nut. Y'all got caught y'all. Yeah, yeah. No kept. Yeah, I'm bored that. Real nigger do real thing. They didn't figure out how to do this shit, man. You're clicking and unclicking it.
Starting point is 00:19:46 They're asking you to do it. All you got to do it. All you got to do it, hit them telling you ain't get your shit. Tell them you ain't get your shit. They're going to see you another, my wife. They're going to see you another one, but somebody going to ask them, my wife. But these ain't computers. These real people fucking this shit up.

Starting point is 00:20:47 So the unemployment rate Fend to go to? Well, we're gonna have about We're gonna get a few more motherfuckers, man But yeah, so we got 10,85, 85 apparel back home, and then we just, we're gonna be breaking ground in a building that we just bought.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Yeah. Yeah! We've got a studio. We're going to be looking for, you know, a bunch of designers and a bunch of producers, directors. We're going to throw it to the fans and let them come up with a cold-ass name for the studio. Yeah, yeah, that'd be cool. That'd be super cool. But yeah, so we got a full-time operation that we're running. So be patient with us as we get this content out and get this merchandise to y'all and scale. So I think that's about it.
Starting point is 00:21:29 You think that's about it? Yeah. Are we still on tour? Yeah. Oh, man, we're getting ready to wrap up this first, this ghetto legends joint. Yeah, we're getting these 20-22 dates together as we speak. So we're looking out for those in the office. And he didn't know anybody who is.
