But that's the hardest part about being a parent is because you understand how life works and everybody has to go through it. Nobody's going to always make the right decision 100% of the time. They're going to be triumphs and they're going to be failures. And you're going to have to know how to deal with both. And then you have to teach, that's why you have to discipline your kids in other areas before they get to the age so they know what discipline is. Discipline is not always abuse.

It's the consequence of an action that you made. You did this, so now I'm not going to allow you to do this. Or this will be your punishment because you decided to go against the decision that was made for your safety and your well-being. So now you have to know that when you do things like this, there are going to be consequences. I can't let you slide so many times as a parent. You have to know that there are going to be consequences for your actions. And that's all discipline is the consequences for your actions in that form of what a discipline But you think that we are we getting that point across these days?

No, we're not getting a point across because and why? You have to look at the world that we live in black children are not given the luxury of growing up They look at black children as they want to charge everything black kids do as childish mish mish is adults There are real life consequences for being a child. Things that back when we were kids may have been, hey, the police brought you home to your mom and, you know, you're in trouble. You got to come down here and clean some paint up or you got to come down here on Saturday morning and pick up some trash or something.

You know what I'm saying? There are no diversions now. They get suspended faster. It's prison. They get suspended for less shit. Right. And that's the hardest part about raising black children is teaching them that. Do you think that the world is fucked up?

But you have to understand that when you get out in the world, the consequences for you, because you're a black child, are going to be 10 times harder. You're not going to get the luxury of the slap on the wrist. They're going to really want you to go to jail and be in jail in a building because you're a child and you decided to do something silly as a 15-year-old. And y'all went and put through some toilet paper
