Hey
Hey man
Well welcome back to the black market
You know what the bell mean, right?
What I?
The bell means.
That there is money on the floor.
Oh, man.
Okay.
Let's go grab that.
I see money right there on that wallet right there.
No, you know ain't no money in the wallet.
Who keeps money in the wallet that's a fact.
That is true.
That is true.
It's the middle purse.
It's just ID and old bills and business cars.
Business cars.
And you collect all day.
That's it.
Yeah.
I can't see that about me.
Yeah.
What?
I got a lot of money in my purse.
You keep money in there?
Sure do.
I'll be telling her to stop that.
I'll be telling her to stop that all the time, man.
It's hard, man.
When your lady, when you're late from the streets,
she used to living life with the thug shit,
she ain't gonna never keep to stop having cash.
I was trying to tell like, man, you don't need
out of that money, you'd be having to tell you a later.
I'll be telling her all the time, like, baby,
please don't open your wallet or no store.
Don't do that, don't do that.
Why do you prefer to keep the cash?
I mean, when you were in business,
you always gotta have cash.
Yeah, see why you got it in business.
You got it right, man.
Yeah.
So look, what they were telling me about food and tattoos?
I'm like, that don't even go together.
Don't, it don't go together, man.
You know, we started a journey back in 2018.
Our first entrepreneur journey was to a tattoo shop.
Right.
It's called Atlanta Inc.
Okay.
You know, we started back in 2018.
Right now we got like six years in, you know, doing that, learned a lot, you know.
And then we started the food truck industry, you know, back in 2000, right before, I'm sorry, 2020.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Right before the pandemic hit.
And, you know, my wife has been, always been cooking since day one.
We've been married 22, what, celebrate our 22nd anniversary.
Yeah.
22nd anniversary, yeah.
You know, and ever since we met, she always has been cooking.
She always had a vision about owning the restaurant.
And, you know, I was intimidated by that because I ain't know nothing about health department,
business license, all that type of stuff.
So I was really intimidated.
But then, you know, with her passion and I guess my marketing skills that we have and my drive,
I was like, yo, you know what?
She got a cash, so.
Yeah, she won't have a cash.
Yeah, it makes sense.
No money.
You know, but, but yeah, we started, we started the food truck back in 2020.
We partnered with a few different people, man,
and we saw the actual, the possibilities
how big it can get.
So then we, you know, they kept doing it,
so we started doing our own thing.
And back in our 2021, that's when we opened up Omniflavers,
which is our food truck.
You know, we did that for a few years,
and then we just, a month and a half ago,
we just opened up our first breaking mortar.
You know?
Yeah, yeah.
You know, you know, and we've just been growing, man.
We just been definitely just growing everything that we're doing, man.
What made you pick the name, Omni Flavors?
Man, to be honest with you, this is what happened, man.
When we first started, we were, the concept of the food truck that we first started
was we were serving egg rolls, fried egg rolls with, you know, fried rice and French
fries and things like that.
Then we started seeing that people will come to the food truck.
A lot of health conscious people out here nowadays.
So like, man, I don't want to eat nothing fried.
So then they would walk away.
So it was like, man, that's money walking away.
What can we do to keep these people here?
So then we went from the egg rolls.
And then we started serving other options.
You know, and as you know, Omni means all of everything.
You know what I'm saying?
So we own, so we have all of everything flavor.
You know, we have, we currently have 16 different menus that we offer.
You know, everything from egg rolls to burgers to terriaki bowls.
We got nachos, tacos, fuh, we got habachi.
We do everything, bro.
We got 16 different menus.
This is what all this means right here.
All this right here is all the, each menu that we have comes up with its own brand.
Y'all got chicken, sandwiches, burgers.
Burgas. We got wocles, tacos, you know what I'm saying?
So, he's going to be a big-ass truck.
Well, nah, that's a crazy part, bro, no.
He got a semi-full of shit.
That's the craziest part, man, because what we've learned,
what I guess I'm good at is creating a system.
You know what I'm saying?
So we have all these menus that they work together.
You know what I'm saying?
So we'd be able to serve all these items off of,
I mean, we have a, our food truck is eight by 16.
So it's probably smaller than, way smaller than this space right here.
You know what I'm saying?
So we, we're doing it like that, you know?
Man, that's cold.
Yeah, you know, but what we've learned is the whole time doing it,
is that now when we do go out and we do festivals and things like that,
when people come to the truck, and at the same time,
we don't serve all 16 menus at one time.
That's what I was about to say.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, no, no, we don't do all 16 at one time.
We do at least eight at one time.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So when people come to the truck with kids and, you know, people that are health conscious and stuff like that.
What about people like me just picky eaters?
Peaky eaters, yeah, yeah, yeah, we deal with y'all too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what I'm trying to find my tribe.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, we have everything for everybody, man, you know what I'm saying?
We just be able to have family comes, you know, family of four, couples, whatever, and they see our menu,
you know, nobody's walking away no more
because we have something for everybody.
And then, like, y'all just switched to me and you out the next day
and do another eight?
Well, no, because going back to our history,
when we first started the food truck,
we were doing a lot of, like, food truck parks.
And we'll, yeah, you know what I'm saying?
A lot of vending, where we'll go and sit
and just wait people to come to the truck.
And what we learned was that it's hard.
It's hard.
That was super hard.
So then we got introduced to catering.
So when catering happened, we now can offer awesome.
So, for example, let's say you want to have a party or something like that, right?
I do.
Okay.
You want to have a party?
We want to have a party.
But if you want to have a party, we have 16 different menus that you can choose from, you know what I'm saying, for your guests.
So you can have, you know, habachi, you can have pasta, you can have burgers, you can have taco.
There's no other truck out here to dust at what we do.
You know what I'm saying?
So what that does, it opens up the door for us.
to have more clientele, you know what I mean?
And just be able to serve a lot of different things
to a lot of different people where they just,
you know, they love the option,
they love the choices that we have.
You being in the cookie.
Well, it could be, well, let me, let me keep it.
Let me keep it up.
Let me keep it a buck, you know what I'm like that.
Your son leaned all the way back.
He's been alive, he's going to lie.
Let me keep your butt, right.
Everything on the menu, everything on the minute.
I have some suggestions like, hey, baby, can we do this?
can we try that and then and then she takes it and just to the next level what i'm saying is all her
ingredients all her all of her items uh she makes all the sauces that we use you know what i'm
saying so i i'm like the sous chef you know what i'm saying you're the taste you know what's
you're the taster you know what i'm saying yeah baby this works this doesn't work but
you know what i mean 99% of the time man it's working you know what's your favorite meal
I mean, your favorite dish, that's like been a fan favorite that you enjoy this?
Our salmon burger.
See?
Yeah.
Yeah.
With our salmon burgers, we don't do the patties.
We do a six ounce filet.
And then we put our special sauce on there, which is the cilantro garlic sauce that I came up with.
Yeah.
It's fire.
I see why you let her keep the money.
Oh yeah, yeah, I got it.
I don't care.
I let her run it, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
And basically what?
This is why it makes us a good team because I don't step our hotels.
I don't be like, oh, honey, add this, do that.
I don't do none of that.
Same time, she don't tell me how to promote it, how to market, and how to book us.
You know what I'm saying?
So we just, we work very well together.
Yeah, I see y'all brought the family out, man, the kids been involved in the food truck at all.
They, they're picking up a little business.
Let me tell you this, bro.
Like I said, we started in 2020.
2021, that's when we first started doing Omni Flavors.
My son was 11.
and he's been working the truck with us since then, bro.
My daughter, my daughter now, she was 12,
and now she holds the register down, talking to people.
See, she's going to be like her mom,
she's going to hold on to the money.
Exactly.
I was a good way for it.
That's a really good way for it, man.
But yeah, but they definitely involve 100%.
That's the reason why they're here, you know what I'm saying?
Because they are, this is the best team I've ever had.
You know what I'm saying?
Having the kids working with us.
my daughter and me just
his foresome right here
is amazing bro you know what I'm saying
so yeah you're saying he's been working
he's been on the grill
yeah he does everything man
what's your specialty
see
yeah yeah
buffy taco
well you know what we had to change the name
oh you never I thought the taco
was actually public no no no no no
it well it was
well you know what
you know
we
No, I'm not lead a name.
Just make sure they pay for it first.
No, no, man.
Let me tell you.
You know, like what?
Two years ago, when we created a puffy taco, right?
It was, you know, we take it flower tortilla,
we deep fry it, and it puffs up.
I'll tell you, it was a dope name.
You know, it's puffy taco.
But eventually the last couple of months
has been that that name has been kind of, you know what I'm saying?
So we change it to puffed taco.
You know what I'm saying?
So that's what we do.
I leave the puffy taco and then I just hand it to him.
I wouldn't, I just leave it naked.
I was just like, hey, you order it.
You know, so yeah, so that's, you know.
Yeah, you know what you're like.
Yeah, you know.
Yeah.
Sauc all, love you.
Put the meat wherever you want that.
See?
See?
What meat do you want?
Maybe put the meat on the side.
Put the, blah.
He writing all this down.
Yep, that's it.
That's it.
But yeah, you know, so that's, you know, so that's, you know, the puppy tacos is another one of our big hits.
You know what I mean? People, people love that. You know what I mean?
What's one of your favorite menu item? You got 16 menus?
Man, I got 16 menus, bro. We love, I mean, I love the habachi. That's one thing that I do do.
It's the actual fried rice. You know what I like? I like making a fried rice.
Fire rice we got, you know what I said? We have a chicken fried rice.
What?
When you said fried rice, he was like, can't mess with mine.
though. It's like, you're my kitchen?
Nah, no, I ain't even watching.
I ain't even watching.
He's been watching son, bro.
I think he's trying to take over the family family.
Because when you say it fried right, he's like,
psh.
Now, that's why, you know,
but he's learning a lot, though, from us, man.
Like, he's in the kitchen with us.
You know what I'm saying? He's in there.
You know what I'm saying?
Our daughter holds the front of the house down.
You know what I'm saying? He's out there
with me, you know what I'm saying? In the kitchen,
doing, doing everything.
everything that he asked him to do he does and he's been good transitioning to the like the restaurant
space without seeing like a difference in the clientele or like just the difference in the flow of
business well once it like I was telling me before when we when we first started we were doing a lot
of vending you know that for us that wasn't the direction that we really needed to be in so we started
doing catering and catering was what took us to the next level you know what I'm saying we got we got
clients like the Falcons we we do movie sets we do we've done the Braves we've done
you know fed eggs Home Depot you know what I'm saying Georgia Tech you know
I'm pulling up yeah yeah so we not we pull up to them because we catering to them
you know what I'm saying and that's just what really that's taking us to the next level
with that like when when we was just at the art hard radio at the Black Effect Festival
yeah we had we had the food truck outside and then we also cater the VIP
Inside.
Man, we was that.
See, we was on tour this year.
Oh, you missed it, bro?
Yeah.
Oh, shit, okay.
But we would have been there holding our spot down.
Yeah, yeah.
And what we had, and what we had at the VIP section, we had our teriyaki bowls.
You know what I'm saying?
The white rice, the festivals, you know, broccoli, carrots, you know what I'm saying?
Any protein you want it.
So yeah, you know.
Well, that's hard, man.
Well, what can people get in touch with y'all and make these reservations and look at the full menu?
The best thing to do, honestly, the best thing to do,
you can email us at OmniFlavers at gmail.com.
That's O-M-N-I-F-L-A-V-A-S.
It's not flavor, it's Flavis,
because we, you know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm about to sell 3,000 puffing tacos
and you don't even know it.
They'm like, bro, we heard no talking about it.
I want mine butt date with the meat on the side.
But that's just, I mean, the food truce.
truck is really taking off with the,
with the brick and mortar.
We just opened a month, a month and a half ago.
But tomorrow, we're actually having a soft opening
for our second location.
Okay, okay.
So yeah, we got a second location.
That's gonna be in Powder Springs, Georgia.
You know, we partnered up with a couple other people
and it's called the Havana Haven Lounge.
It's gonna be a lounge, you know what I'm saying?
Got the liquor with them, say,
we got the bar.
Yeah, we're gonna need y'all on this.
too, man, Southside.
Okay, yeah, we're going to have to get the info
and get y'all to pull up out here.
Because I'm throwing a party in the parking lot.
When is this?
I throw parties. All summer.
Oh, yeah.
All summer, we kick it out here.
That's why we put the fence up, man.
We bring the screens out.
We'll let you call y'all up and bring us 15.
You will make sure we get 15 million years.
We want 15, the whole thing.
You're going to have to make sure, put your chef hat on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's coming.
He's coming.
He's coming.
together a parking lot party series yeah oh we're with that yo you know what I'm saying
if you guys want really good food man definitely invite us we definitely want really yeah
we're really I mean I'm here here here's the thing people ask us all the time hey man
what's what's good on the menu you know what I like burgers okay we all man
you do that right there yeah we got some buns but let me tell hold on second hold on
I didn't even get into that I didn't even get into that yo each of each of our
Our menu has, like I tell you, has his own brand, has his own logo.
And as you can see, we got our chicken wing menu is called Chicken Nova.
A burger menu is called Meat and Some Buns.
We have, uh, we got, uh, we got a Fub menu.
I don't know if you're familiar with Fug.
We got, we got a fun menu called I Fuck It.
You know, you know what I'm saying?
This whole family is crazy.
We're wild.
I see you got me on that.
What's this right here?
Oh, this one at here?
What's this?
That's right here. Is this polikilos?
Poculus.
You know what I'm?
The Pokelis. We have a salad menu called Tossing Salates.
Not in front of the kids, man.
They know what's up?
They know what's up.
Our terriaki menu is terriaki me out.
Terriacing me out, you know what I'm saying?
And just, you know, we try to have fun with the names.
You know what I'm saying?
That's what we try to do.
You've got everything on it.
Can I get some bourbon chicken?
Y'all do bourbon chicken?
I can do that.
You can do some bourbon.
You can do anything.
That's a fact.
We kind of do not have a bourbon menu, but we can make it happen.
This is a special request.
I'm putting it in here.
And the first party, and the first party you invited us, we'll have that for you.
A bourbon chicken.
Bourbon chicken, bro.
We can do that.
Oh, there you go.
Put that on the menu.
That's how we're going to do it.
Come on, man.
Come on.
Look, I appreciate y'all stopping through here, dropping a little flavor on us like that.
No doubt, bro.
Here at the black market.
We love to eat.
our own people who are doing their own things.
So this y'all first time stopping through the Black Market.
Definitely don't let it be the last.
No, no, no.
Black Market.
I'm in place.
We in here like last year.
It's money all over the world.
Once we get invited, man, we'll be here early, bro.
Most definitely.
Come on.
