Summer's here, and with the kids home and off to camp, it's easy for moms to get lost in the shuffle. On Good Mom's Bad Choices, we're making space to center ourselves with joy, rest, and pleasure.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Take the kids to camp. You know what? It was expensive. But I was also thinking, if you have my kid, this is kind of priceless. Take her, feed her, make core memories. I don't have to do anything. main thing I don't have to do anything to hear this and more
Starting point is 00:02:31 listen to Good Mom's Bad Choices from Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast You're getting your podcast Oh oh oh wait wait It's about that time J-O-N Play me some pimper
Starting point is 00:02:53 Because we don't have to wait no longer It's time to let the streets know that we back again. Come on. With another one. That's going to be colder than the other. Yeah. For everybody in the house, even your mother's son. Now, see, this show right here has been voted
Starting point is 00:03:17 the number one black TV show that should have been on TV. That would have won. a NAA CP award that could have been up for a Soul Train award that was featured on the mixtape of the year. They put a clip of us in the hottest video of the year. Joe Biden watched this shit sometimes. Kamala Harris already know what it is.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Barack Obama, they hit a little half a blunt to this. It was the audio, but that still count as a view. Yeah. This is the number one show amongst women they get pregnant and be single before the baby is even born. Damn, man. Do you know that there isn't a podcast show,
Starting point is 00:04:10 there isn't a television show, there isn't anything that is watched more than the 85 South show why black women get their hair done? Hmm. There's an 87% chance. percent chance. You're going to watch at least two episodes of this if you're getting your hair break. This show's so good, they just play it at the barbershop. You can't even hear it.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I don't know who it is, but somebody who work at Walmart keep turning all the Walmart TVs on 85 South, and we appreciate that. Yeah. I've seen it. Yeah. You had to set up all the Wi-Fi. The number one show amongst Pit Bull owners. Black people who are not afraid of cats watch this shit. Single ladies who got a boyfriend prefer this over any daytime drama. White women with black children.
Starting point is 00:05:11 White men who buy pussy from black women. Damn. Construction worker. People who drive trucks and operate heavy machinery. Anybody who work in any sort of factory, I heard that this is the number one show at the Kellogg's Serial Factor. Didn't even know they had a lot of black employees,
Starting point is 00:05:30 didn't even know they had Wi-Fi in that bitch. All my partners at Amazon done did voiceovers to parts from the 85 South show. Yeah. The coldest podcast on TikTok, and we don't even have a fucking TikTok. That is a fake person who just uploads clips. We don't know that person.
Starting point is 00:05:50 But I appreciate you finding golden moments that my team may have overlooked. I'm not condoning your behavior, but I'm not condemning it either. But if you are profiting from my work, I want to fight you. Doesn't have to be a fair fight. It can be a verbal argument, a spat, a disagreement.
Starting point is 00:06:10 But I want you to know that I see you. To all the people who are on social media pretending to be members of the 85 South Show, fuck you. with a whale dick, because that's the biggest one I can think of. A blue whale. A sperm whale.
Starting point is 00:06:28 You know, a whale, don't even worry about it. But that's neither here nor there. Today, we are speaking in politicking. Come on. With a prolific. Come on. Extraordinary. Individual.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Right, mate, always on, never on. Come on, man. Who has given us. Hours of entertainment. Come on, man. Had the city. Be a love and hip hop. Made everybody grow.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Their motherfucking hair out. Just to put the flip in the front. This dude right here, I don't know if he'd just be trolling in real life and what, but he's staying some shit. He then went on Vlad and turned the internet upside down. Come on. Man, I can do this all day. Come on.
Starting point is 00:07:15 And we know he got way more than one hit. Come on. We just listened about 12 of them. Come on. Fuck is you talking about nothing other than Young Jop. Come on, man. Any trap. They're concerned with the good people at the 85 South Show.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Appreciate that, my brother. First of all, it's been a long time coming. You're supposed to be able to be able to leave in the airport and shit. We always got to flip it over to see what y'all got going on. Talking shit over there on the radio, you shoulder to shoulder. Stay the line. Come on, man. Bury y'all be having people calling in saying the wildest shit.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Jock, you didn't been everywhere from the Forbes list to 20 grand, the baby grand, O-NAT, scores, crows now. Oh, nis, man. I'm saying, we didn't seen you in the hood and at the BET Awards and on the TV and you on three channels tonight. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Ooh, shit, man. Hey, first of all, congratulations. Because a lot of people don't know how to pivot in the entertainment world, bro. You've been a rapper. You've been a shit old. I don't even know what you call radio hosts no more. Man, nigger, you don't just work at the radio.
Starting point is 00:08:25 You're running the whole shit. Come on, man. Personality. Personality. Well, I mean, you do more than just say, hey, what's up? You do more than people who fucking think you do. Hey, this is your boy, Yuck Jack. You don't do that shit.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I don't want to give you too much credit, but I want to give you the amount you deserve. I appreciate it. That makes sense, though. I'm not going to give a nigga extra credit, but he did he do more shit than you. just be laughing and talking shit on the radio, putting out hits, riding around, clean-ass shavs, and all that, man. Run us back, now you're a whole mogul. You're covering media, TV, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Film. Yeah. Before I got love scenes and shit. I know. I know who wrote, I know the nigga wrote the script. Ain't you in a movie with some love scenes and shit right now? Yeah. See?
Starting point is 00:09:14 Ain't anybody have to tell me this shit. I do my research. I'm deep in these streets. streets. You liked the love scene? I don't watch motherfucking love scene. It makes you look at people different. Make you look at people different. Especially one of these people you know. It ain't just movies no more. These be your partners. You can skip past some of this shit. As long as you see most of it, most of the movie, you know what happened.
Starting point is 00:09:34 You know what happened. You know what happened. You know what happened. Oh, man. Long as you know. Went on the podcast and went viral with this chick talking crazy to you. Yeah, that was interesting, man. You know what I'm saying? Oh, okay, I know it, yeah. Yeah, I mean, I ain't see it. You know, I just, I didn't want to accept it as a negative moment, because as we kept going, she was really trying to clean it up.
Starting point is 00:10:00 You know what I'm saying? She's not. I know. And I felt like if she was really on some trolling for, uh, internet touch, yeah. I think she would have stuck to it. Yeah. Because I'm not like a threatening person, so I wouldn't have made her feel no kind of way.
Starting point is 00:10:15 So it wasn't a reason for her to retort her. her to retract, you know, the way she did. It appeared that she did anyway. But it was cool. It was cool. I was just like, you know what? But that's a good question. Because it might be more, it ain't no might.
Starting point is 00:10:27 There's more people out there just like you. I can't, niggas tell me all the time I was one hit wonder. I'd be like, okay, I don't even care to argue, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. So whatever. But the world came to my defense, you know what I'm saying, the hood. They damn sure did. It's surprised.
Starting point is 00:10:41 You got more than one hit, but one hit, you got more than one hit, you all ain't got one hit? Yeah, but it's. You can eat for life, nigga. Yeah, some motherfuckers, yeah. But you got molding, that's crazy. It's all good. At the end of the day, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:57 It's what it was. It taught me if I able to listen, you know what I'm saying? To just hold it in the road. Sometimes you ain't got to say too much. Right. You know, because when you... Self proclamation is cool. You know, a lot of people, boastful people do it.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Rappers, we all do it, you know what I'm saying? That's part of the game. I understand. But, you know, that was the moment I didn't have to self-proclimate myself. The people stepped up, you know what I'm saying, out of love and just, you know what I'm saying? And they really wanted to attack on her, although some people were attacking them. But they're going to do that every week, no, out of what she's. Every day, yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:11:33 So to see that happen, you know, it kind of puts you in the mind's frame of we have to watch what we say. Yeah. Somewhere in that we've got to have a reset, a default. You know what I'm saying? Because the way shit going today, people saying anything. doing anything, you know what I'm saying? Don't kill, because they don't see a, like, what's going to happen? You're going to say something. You see me in public. You know, niggas don't care. So I think it's good for recent. Let people say, oh, no, let me think
Starting point is 00:11:58 about this because I don't know the backlash that come from it. You know what I'm saying? Help us with our governing. I think that's what we're lacking a lot in our community. That's self-governing. Niggas don't know how to hold it. And you just go all the deep end just because they're offended. I think we're emotional, but it's okay. Man, what made you get all of them late 90s hairstyles? You had the swoop. Why you cut the swoop off? It was, you know, it had its course.
Starting point is 00:12:23 It ran its course. It was just... What made you do that shit, John? Bro, listen. Think about this. That shit that went triple platinum on the means, I know you saw them, but those shit was funny as of another fucking, right? You know what's so funny.
Starting point is 00:12:37 You stand in front of people and make them laugh. You do a good job at it, right? Right. That was the funny part about it because knowing you, I know you genuinely didn't give it for it. Yeah. I don't. Because you came back with a whole not. A couple more.
Starting point is 00:12:53 A few more. Yeah, a few more. No, I mean... You know what's so crazy. Man, I just got different antics. Yeah. See, I'm why people try to be their hardest, try to be the most richest, try to act like they've got the best most players' lifestyle. lifestyle, I don't do none of that.
Starting point is 00:13:13 I do something so crazy and left that even cut through all that shit. You know what I'm saying? And I'm not boasting about the shit. I'm just me. You know what I mean? That's just me. Shit worked, man.
Starting point is 00:13:26 It works. You were doing that even like, you had some funny shit in your video. With our styles, yeah. Yeah. All this shit, man, sometimes, man, you know, we judge, we quick to judge. We quit the judge.
Starting point is 00:13:41 It's similar us all. They say you're not supposed to judge, but we all judge. Even the holyest people judge. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, this should be fun sometimes. Sometimes fun judging people. That's just the underst truth, right?
Starting point is 00:13:51 Yeah. And me. Don't drink malicious. Yeah, I don't judge nobody. So I don't really kill what people said, think about me, you know what I'm saying? I know, I got a pure heart, bro, in real life. Like, I don't want to hurt nobody.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I ain't trying to scam you. I don't want to double across the trip across you. You know, I don't never want to play you like you less than me. You know, that's just me. And I think people. I think people know that now over the years of just watching me grow and be who I am, unapologetically, you know what I'm saying? So it's all good. For My Heart Podcasts and Rococo Punch, this is The Turning, River Road.
Starting point is 00:14:31 I knew I wanted to obey and submit, but I didn't fully grasp for the rest of my life what that meant. In the woods of Minnesota, a cult leader married himself to ten girls and forced them into a secret life of abuse. Why did I think that way? Why did I allow myself to get so sucked in by this man and thinking to the point that if I died for him, that would be the greatest honor? But in 2014, the youngest of the girls escaped and sparked an international manhunt.
Starting point is 00:15:08 For all those years, you know, he was, was the predator and I was the prey. And then he became the prey. Starting point is 00:17:30 The OGs of Uncensored Motherhood are back and badder than ever. And I'm Mila. And we're the host of the Good Mom's Bad Choices podcast, brought to you by the Black Effect Podcast Network every Wednesday. Historically, men talk too much. And women have quietly listened. And all that stops here. If you like witty women, then this is your tribes. With guests like Corinne Steffens.
Starting point is 00:17:52 I've never seen so many women protect predatory men. And then me too happened. And then everybody else wanted to get pissed off because the white said it was okay. Problem. My oldest daughter, her first day in ninth grade, and I called to ask how it was going. She was like, All they were doing was talking about your thing in class. I ruined my baby's first day of high school.
Starting point is 00:18:10 And slumflower. What turns me on is when a man sends me money. Like, I feel the moisture between my legs when a man sends me money. I'm like, oh my God, it's go time. You actually sent it? Listen to the Good Mom's Bad Choices podcast every Wednesday on the Black Effect Podcast Network. The I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you go to find your podcast. Do you remember Vine?
Starting point is 00:18:32 It changed the internet forever. and it vanished in its prime. I'm Benedict Townsend, and this is Vine, six seconds that changed the world. The untold story of genius, betrayal, and the app that died so that TikTok could thrive. From overnight stars to the fall that no one saw coming, we're breaking down what made Vine iconic.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Listen to Vine on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. You had to this shit well. People jump on the internet and say just all kind of outlanded shit. They do. But the way you respond to it is like, what this shit even came from? Hey man, I'll be honest with you. That be some of the funniest shit though.
Starting point is 00:19:21 When people get at you, and they could just say some shit that could sting a little bit, like ooh, that'd be some of the best, like, ammo for you, man. Like, make you... It's like, ooh. You gotta take the negative energy and take it in and be like, I know you probably will 7-year-old kid talking shit
Starting point is 00:19:42 to me on the other side of this. I know you might be a broke-in-year-old nigga who ain't got shit. It's okay. You might be one of them guys who really got everything they're boasting to have, but it don't even matter because I'm gonna take this shit,
Starting point is 00:19:55 I'm internalize it, and I just, I ain't gonna say I love negative energy. I don't, but I've learned how to take negative energy and turn into pot. You know what I'm saying? I just, I don't want to use the word master that, but I've recycled the process a few times, you know what I'm saying? You on that Michael Jordan shit?
Starting point is 00:20:15 I took this person. You know what I'm talking about? That last damn shit, yeah. Mike took everything in person. They didn't even do nothing to that nigga, man. They said they ain't had no ice in the dressing room. Nicarbs was chirping this morning. This nigga sent the birds.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Took that person. You can drop 40 on me because birds. You got 40 on me because birds were chirping, no, niggins. But sometimes you gotta do. Nick, he said he was a big fan in the third quarter. Took that person. Mike was an evil, vengeful, motherfucker. That's your, that's your story on Mike?
Starting point is 00:20:50 That's how he wanted to play it on some villain shit. He wasn't like, jock, what made you go? I didn't know about that. Mike, Michael Jew. What's your perspective? I'm saying of that. I mean, he was a villainy. I had an encounter with Michael Joy and Saul.
Starting point is 00:21:02 What happened? That shit, uh, Kamenna told me. Oh, he ain't fucking with you. No, I ain't, you know how, I ain't, you know how you just, I don't even want to say, no better. But if you know better, you didn't even try Mike like that. You didn't do better. See, this story's so funny because me and I really
Starting point is 00:21:22 were geeking about me, Michael Jordan. And I understand, because I'm like, damn, I'm in the room with Michael Jordan. Yeah. That's those Scotty people. You know, like, nigger. I'm like, oh shit, Spike Lee? I'm like, legends, right.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Right, right. And I'm in the party. I'm here, and Roxy was in there with Michael Jordan. Michael was smoking a crazy stick. Yeah. It's everything like, $1,200. Yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:21:47 To go. I'm looking through there, I'm like, man, that's on Michael Jordan. Roxy come out. Hey, I'm like, Roxy, what up, girl? She's like, oh shit. Hey, you met Michael? I'm like, you know, I ain't met no fucking Michael Jordan. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:21:59 But I'm like, no, I ain't matter. Right, right. I want you to come in to speak. I'm like, that shit paws in my head towards me. Before I shit going on some, I want you to come in and speak. How are you about to introduce me and hide this man going to react? I'm real big of energy. Right.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Don't bring me around like you. Yeah, yeah. And everybody in the room looking like this here at you. And MJ, he just is cool. He ain't even think about shit. He's so fucking rich. But I walk in and he looked at me. I say, all right, he's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:37 I'm like, I'm gonna go out this way. I knew some shit. But you spoke, yeah. I felt the energy. Anything more than that when. You know what I'm saying? Because he could have been like, what's up, man? Right.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Hey man, my, my, my, my, somebody love you. I love you. That nix done doing your dad. Oh shit, it would have blew me the fuck away, but I ain't get none of that. Nope. Damn. absent, and I looked down him and I was like,
Starting point is 00:23:02 and it was like, he was like, I ain't know, I don't know if he was like going out of the door, but I was just like, I'm going out of the way. So I got there, I'm standing out there. So, come in and I'm like, yeah. Comed me and I'm like, oh shit, you met him? Man, I can't wake to me this nigga, man, this nigga, I'm like, I'm looking at the nigger.
Starting point is 00:23:25 But I was looking at the energy, I was like, well, I hope we're calling that shit down a little bit. Man, that nigga stole the Michael Jordan and said, Hey, man. I love you, dog. I just bought this guy in Jersey from an auction. But I just get you to sign it. You know what I say?
Starting point is 00:23:44 How much you pay for that shirt at the auction? I think the niggas said he might have, like, $15,000. Mike Jones, I'll tell you what. You go get a jersey. You don't get one of my jersey. And they said, I'm gonna sign that, motherfucker. You give me $30,000. Because he really like, you know, it was like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:08 It was just, it was just the wrong timing for comedian now to say that maybe. I don't know. Maybe Michael Jordan, food was spicy. He got to have irritable palsy. You know, a nigga might have irritable bowels or something. So Mike said, go get another jersey. Yeah, nigga.
Starting point is 00:24:23 He was like, basically like, look, man, I'm sitting here and tell me what you paid for a motherfucking jersey. I don't give a fuck about that. I'm rich. It was like that energy, and I was like, oh, shit. And then... It took that person. Comedian, I was like, all right, man.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Like, he was gonna get me in a doubt. Damn it. And Mike was like, man, get this nigga out of my motherfucking face. It was like, man, this is not my face. 30 regs. And man, comedian, I just looked at me and was like, you were trying to hold out. Like, you got this nigga from the crime.
Starting point is 00:24:55 You better, that, motherfucker. You don't you make that fake. You already know how you look out. He cried. He cried. No, man, nigger really, it was hurt. But I knew, I knew it was for now. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:25:06 I just knew what's going to happen. You know, it's just a certain caliber of, uh, it's a certain status. Certain people have. And when they walk in the room, they suck out of that motherfucker. Yeah. You know, MJ is one of the people. He walked in, you don't know. Everybody, you don't mean, everybody in this room.
Starting point is 00:25:22 We don't meant been around. Who don't possibly have walked in his sit on y'all. You all had legends in here. But that nigga walked in, we all will be like, like, you wouldn't even know what to say. You'll roll back into the knockout, that shit, oh, that shit don't like. Dude, then you'll jump up like. I'm leaving.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I'm leaving. I'm leaving. You know what I'm going to go? I'm taking shit that far. So I'm going to get up and I'm going to fucking leave. Because you know. When you're in the presence of somebody that just like, you're in the presence of somebody that, you got to just, you got to hold that shit in the room.
Starting point is 00:25:55 You know what I'm saying? You got to be cool so you can come back around. Like, yeah, that whole story was crazy. Because the front part of the story, my hotel right across the street from Michael Jordan party, right? Russian, not thinking, moving. Yon nigga shit. I get over there.
Starting point is 00:26:13 And like, young job, you know what I'm saying? How do you feel to be in the presence of a legend? I was like, man, I don't know. I ain't been in nothing yet, but it feel good. I think. It's like, so what does Michael Jordan mean? Michael Jordan meme to basketball. I'm like, shit, I mean, he's the epitome of the very sport.
Starting point is 00:26:34 You know? I mean, he's huge. I mean, like, legendary, you know? He's like, well, I got a question for you. If you got that much respect for Michael Jordan, why would you come to a Jordan party with Adidas on? No, I look down like, oh, no. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Bro, I look back up at his head Colossette. Damn. Because I didn't want to fuck up my jays. And everyone was like a real TV moment. I walked in the party. Everybody was like, hey, I swear to God. I swear to God. It's on the comedian that throw the three years.
Starting point is 00:27:12 I walked that motherfucker like, oh. I felt good. It was like, ooh, that was a good thing. Because when you said it, I didn't even, I didn't consider that shit like that. But then when I looked down, I seen them with Ditas on. I'm like, bro. You fucked up.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Nick, this on TV. Like, all. All the cameras just was like, shh. And it was at that moment, young jock knew. He's fucked up. He fucked up. He got it on that big, though. So it was like real press.
Starting point is 00:27:36 I ain't talking about just like, you know what I'm saying? A few little homies in the hood and it looked. It was like, camera like, the nigger went right to my feet and I'm like, oh my god. Shit. This shit for ruin, everything. Well, yeah, that was my experience with Michael John. He was a nice guy to me.
Starting point is 00:27:51 That might be why he ain't kicking with you. What? You saw you head on him to Deda. That shit. That shit. I'm sorry, Mike. I'm human, I make mistakes. You said like, you know he watched it.
Starting point is 00:28:03 You know why? Because he absolutely does. Welcome back to the 85 South. That it is. Exactly. All right. Like, yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:13 You crazy as hell you think Michael Joy and don't know about this shit. He got a TV with a backboard. Man. Backboard with a TV is. He's seen me rocking all these fucking J's on here. No, he knows about. You know about this shit.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Everybody does. Come on, what you mean? This is a blackest show on TV that ain't on TV. I'm sure when he gets a black shows on TV. What made you go fuck with the love and hip-hop? Come on, man. Oh, shit, it kind of presented itself. They had a bag.
Starting point is 00:28:44 They had a bag for you. Oh, they didn't have bad for me? No, it wasn't no bad for me at that point. Oh, yeah. I thought it was. Oh, yeah. I thought it was. That's how to get you.
Starting point is 00:28:54 That's how to get you, right? I'm like, my, this shit might be some money right here. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. You know, watch these first two seasons of this show, like, I see what we need. Y'all niggas don't know how to make a nigger laugh. Just on some cool shit and be yourself. I'm watching, like, y'all trying to be like, y'all superstars,
Starting point is 00:29:14 the number one artist at the moment when the world, we know the truth at the moment. That's not it. Now, you're about to be repolished and rebranded through the lens of this show. You know what I'm saying? But the people I see people trying to depict, I'm like, that ain't, that ain't it. So I was like, this should be easy. I'm gonna just be myself.
Starting point is 00:29:34 And the minute, you know, I stepped on sit with Carla Redd, she hit me with a curveball so motherfucking strong. The jab was like, ooh, I was like, oh, this is fucking loving. Yeah, but what am I think about? First thing, she said, oh, baby, you love me? I was like, yeah. I was like, nah, I ain't want to tripping. She's like, give me a kiss.
Starting point is 00:30:00 I was like, all right. I'm like, damn, I'm kissing, and talking about I love you on TV. This is new for me. It's new, right? This is that, baby, I know you've been cheating. That's exactly what the fuck I did. That's what I did.
Starting point is 00:30:14 I said, what? She said, you know how I know? I said, how? Because you've been wearing the same clothes for three days in a row. And I'm trying to figure out how the fuck do that correlate? I'm like, what is you talking about?
Starting point is 00:30:27 And that's when I knew, for real, that my girl was crazy and I was in for the ride of my life with that franchise. And yeah, it was fun, it's been fun, yeah. Yup. You ain't got no other cheating clothes? Yeah, you got a cheating uniform. You just go keep cheating in the same outfit, y'all. That's why I didn't understand what you.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I didn't understand what she... I didn't understand. You're wearing the same clothes for three. You are a young job. You can't do that shit like that. You're absolutely right, brother. I concur. Same outfit.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I'm talking about, she said I did that shit through that. I wanted to be like, when. But then I didn't want to see any petty as fucking be like, when. Tell me the day I went through that. So I just was like, what? That still don't tell you why I went on the show. I went the long way around that motherfucking question. That, because I can tell that when she said that,
Starting point is 00:31:22 that shit bothers you. You can get the same. No, it didn't bother me. Because you brought it back up. No, it didn't bother me. It bothered me when, when got down, the first, the first episode dropped. And I didn't know what it was going to be. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:36 You know what I'm saying? So I'm like, man, what the hell it is about to be, man? I'm like, as soon as I see it, I'm like, oh my God, this shit's gonna go crazy. I knew. I already knew. I was just going to go crazy. And it did. And it did.
Starting point is 00:31:53 How you felt about the editor? that you was cool with how they edited you and everything? Because I know some people be like, they did that, they ain't show what I really did. But you did that shit. I'm gonna keep with a book. I always tell anybody that's doing anything
Starting point is 00:32:07 in front of a camera. If you do that shit in front of that camera, you gotta own that shit. Yeah. I don't go for what you say. You gotta stand on it. You can't fool me and say you didn't mean that when I saw you do what you did
Starting point is 00:32:18 and say what you said with the tone, the temperament, the energy, the consistency, and how you, you meant that. You got to stand on it. You know what I'm saying? So I'll tell anybody you get in front of the cameras. Mean it. Mean it.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Yeah. Because you can never live it down. All right, so that was your intro to the show. But you stayed on there and got in different relationships and all that shit. True. Now what was your- You really? See, really, I'm gonna keep it on a hundred with you.
Starting point is 00:32:44 I'm gonna keep a hundred with you, boy. You is really, you really, you really, yeah. Let me keep a hundred. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I've really been trying to live out your life. What the, what the hell? That is not, that's, my please.
Starting point is 00:33:04 I really been trying to live out your life. What are you talking about? My life ain't getting shit to do with this. Man, I'm up, man, you know how I'm in my fucking I can't even talk to me about you? No. Boy, like, hey, no, I'm just talking shit. I'm just talking shit.
Starting point is 00:33:17 No, my life is. What's you mean? Well, my life ain't interested enough for VH1. No, it definitely is, boy. Nah, I ain't know shit. You can't be that funny and not be interesting. I'm funny because I have a lot of fun. No, you ain't just funny, though.
Starting point is 00:33:33 You're smart. Smart here. Come from the pain. Yeah, I'm gonna go for a way to come from. And you ain't just saying smart shit. You know what I'm saying? You don't have some real experiences. Don't fucking tell these people this shit.
Starting point is 00:33:48 He is making this up, y'all. Yes, I am. As I go. I have been through nothing. I live in a row. box. Don't listen to me. I am just a comedian. Don't fucking, you're going to expose. I can't go on the fucking show after this jug. This is all I got. Right. Well, it's good. It's working. I mean, y'all always keep us entertained. Y'all keep the world entertained. Y'all
Starting point is 00:34:12 keep the culture fed. You know what I'm saying? It's good. Keep doing this shit. Don't stop. Like, it ain't a lot of shit we like doing. And then this right here, like, you see this This ain't work. This is, we collect the information to further the black community. Amen. Like, we see you on TV all the time. We'll never get your side of the story.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Yeah, no. It's only right you stop through here and at least catch yourself on the moments and shit like that, so you can keep coming back and telling us. No, you got to. We really need to do like a love and hip hop viewing part at some shit.
Starting point is 00:34:48 So I know people. Well, I'm gonna say this. Two new shows just premiered tonight. Let's go. MTV. What shows you on, Junk? One is Cople's Retreat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Shows a little bit of a couple. Okay. Yeah. Man. Yeah. I went to Vegas. What you do on that, man? I know you weren't in the-
Starting point is 00:35:08 Aging right, Jeff. It was, it was, it was, it was, uh. It was challenges or therapy? It was therapy. It was therapy. How that shit worked, man? I didn't, man. I ain't just sleep.
Starting point is 00:35:21 I'm gonna keep on. Come on, man. You're a black man going to therapy, man. You've got to share your experience with the rest of the black man. As a man, as a black man, willing to challenge himself and his partner, you know what I'm saying, his wife, and his wife having the same concept and understanding that concept and us both willing to go challenge each other. You know, this was one of the most therapeutic things I've ever experienced in my life. I ain't gonna even lie to you.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Because at first, when I was going, I was like, man, I wanted this shit going, like, I hope this helps. And man, when you got a referee, could you imagine, every time you got an argument with your lady, you had a referee there, two referees, to just be like, hold on, all right, time out. Now, let's think about what you can say. No, because that would piss me off.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Don't stop me when I'm arguing. No, no, no. Don't pet me off on. Don't know, see what I'm saying? See what I'm saying? See, look, this is different. You got trouble. You got trouble.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Hell yeah. It's a rap. I want to help you with it. No. And you know who's going up. I keep. I'm up. I'm up, baby.
Starting point is 00:36:35 And you working on it. See, that's going to hurt like hell. When the referee look over, we were like, show you on your ass, big dog. You're down 61. You better do something. Well, that's where you know what you got to do. I take it. I take it.
Starting point is 00:36:45 I take it. No, it ain't about that shit. It's about action to like, isn't that what I said. I told, ooh, I said, yeah. Bro, that'll have everybody fucked up. Man, we had some real obstacles and challenges to deal with in our life, right? You cried?
Starting point is 00:36:59 Nah, I ain't cry, Lowe. Don't do that. Man. Man, don't fucking be on here, lag and shit, Jack. No, why are you on? Because you tell me, it's the most dead peering shit. Man, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:08 But you know what, no. I'm telling the truth. All right. But did you crack? Jack, you're not funny to come on here. You gotta watch the show, man. You gotta watch the show. He ain't gonna do it away.
Starting point is 00:37:23 That came on tonight. Okay, what's the other one dead job? The other one is Run It Back. He get paid per tier. Like, I give you 13 tiers. I get 30 tier. But no, the other show called Run It Back, and it started from season one of love and hip-hop
Starting point is 00:37:38 and it's allowed select, you know, certain select cast members to come back on and talk about the show. And it's like really break it down, you know, if it's a scene where you might have did some dumb shit in some shit in and you get to really tell your truth and why you did the dumb shit. Or we might talk shit about it, Joan, you know, we're just picking it apart, dissecting it.
Starting point is 00:37:57 And it's really, it's interesting because you can kind of hear the growth and somebody talking about some shit they did or they self or they see they said. I'm like, man, I. Before them checks came. Yeah, or even like, damn, you know what I was on, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:38:11 So it's a good show, I think it's gonna do well, you know what I'm saying? Both premieres tonight on MTV. Okay, yeah. And you're still fucking with the 11 hip-hop. Yeah. That's what's up, man.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Yeah. I mean, you gotta think, you know, you, you know, it shows that we grew up watching 11, and they weren't even around for 12 episodes, I mean, 12 seasons. What made you hit that pivot and fuck with the radio? Um, truthfully, as a, as a father, you know, the challenges are spending time with my kids, man, or just being able to be home. It was so real, like, damn, man, I always, it's like, I ask God for this life, you know what I'm saying? He's been so good to me, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:38:58 Yeah. I've been eating, you know what I'm saying, my family's straight, and then it's like, but damn, I ask for this, but look at what I gotta do to live this lifestyle. I gotta be gone to go get that band, man, you know what I'm saying? And every time I touch down in the new city, I'm with strangers, you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:17 who don't give a fuck about you. And you're giving them your energy and not to your kids. And then you look up and it's like, damn. Like I really gotta sit back and wait on a promoter to be like, I think, bro, it's hot enough or he got enough fans in this market, this area, this weekend, this whatever the fuck.
Starting point is 00:39:33 I'm gonna book them and I'm gonna pay him to come down here. When I sit back and I think about, damn, how many motherfuckers really gotta be sitting back thinking I can make money off of him for me to get paid? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. And I stop. I didn't, I wasn't happy with the notion of that shit.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I'm like, nah, man, I need to create some other shit. So I started promoting in Atlanta. You know, niggas will be looking at you like, oh, so you promote? I'm like, okay, my boy. This nigger will promote. Yeah, it'd be like, oh, this digger will promote it now. Right? Right, yeah, it'd be that.
Starting point is 00:40:06 This nigger promoting that. Like, and then with some niggas be looking at you like, damn, boy, boy, I'm going to be fucked up, a nigger trying to promote a club. Right. Right, you see what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. You're out of him doing bad, boy.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Ooh. And then get what? I say he promoting the little, oh yeah, no, no matter of fact. Take the little flyer and look at your boy. Oh, he's on that smile, he's on the watch. He's on the fly, you know what I'm saying? Fied off to get in.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Oh man, down, man, down. Boy, this nigga down bad. This nigga doing grand opening. VIP ain't before it at all. You're doing grand opening now. But I say to play don't all but 300 people. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:38 So to do that, I'm, I know enough cats that's on, you know what I'm saying, artists, entertainers, shit like that I got great relationships with. I like shit, I'll bullshit. I'll book them, I'll bring them into my spots the same way people do me like that. Right. So instead of me looking at it,
Starting point is 00:40:53 I gotta wait on somebody to book me whenever I'm ready to make money, I make the money. And you're in the city. So I start promoting and then my home girl hollies. She was like, hey man, I want you to hollet somebody from a radio station. She was like, you know, Zim.
Starting point is 00:41:05 She was like, you need to do some commercials. I'm like, well, the strip club. They look at strip club. I was like, no, I don't know about that. I'm like, no, I think it'll be good. And she was like, no, I think it'll be good. be just a good way to open a new relationship. I was like, all right, cool.
Starting point is 00:41:18 So I meet me, I'm like, what's up, bro? Like, I'm Zim, I work at the station. I'm like, so I go to cut a commercial. And when I went to cut the commercial, I went to talk to Steve, the owner of the station, I was like, hey, bro, put me on the radio. And he was looking at me like, for real. And I said, yeah, seven a year later.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Yeah, I am. A number one morning show, a number one syndicated morning show. Talk to your shit. Come on, man. So, you know, it's times when you don't even realize, like, be bigger, bigger plans. out of that bigger plays. Because, you know, I was like, I was looking at radio like,
Starting point is 00:41:48 she said, I can go buy a club. And then I can go out there promote. I could send the traffic to me. And that's what I did. And, you know, I did that for like the last, I say, five years. So about five years, last five, six years. And I learned a lot.
Starting point is 00:42:10 I learned a lot. I learned a lot about our culture. I learned a lot about what we like. what we like, what we don't like, shit we need, we don't need, you know what I'm saying, through all that because every day I had to interact with so many people. Even though everybody's coming for a common cause to come party and shit like that, but everybody had different angles. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Did you have an understanding how radio worked as an artist? When I first got on? Yeah, when you first coming into the music business, and now you get to see how radio worked from the inside out. Well, I saw it because I was doing so much. Yeah, you were doing so much. radio-friendly. He was radio-heavy.
Starting point is 00:42:45 I'm saying before I got on, I was doing a lot of stuff with different labels, you know, moving around with shit. So-so-Duff with me, it's being shit, you know what I'm saying? Just moving around, trying to find my way.
Starting point is 00:42:58 And doing that shit, I had to deal with a lot of radio people and because I didn't come out like this little thirsty cat. I came all clean cut, you know, I could speak, and then. So, you know, they'll give me a whole different woo-wark, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:43:11 the combo, you know what I mean? All right. And then, you know, I started realizing, like, you know, this shit ain't a number of relationships. That's all this shit is, relationships. Then once you realize you got relationships, right? Now you look at the boy, like, okay, I got all these relationships. Now all I got to do is get people to be able to recognize me.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Then they can acknowledge me. So I got to stay in their face. So once they recognize, you know, like right now, I always tell this, you know what I'm saying? We get on the elevator right now. Somebody in a suit, and we don't know who they are. We might not recognize them. We might not acknowledge him.
Starting point is 00:43:43 We might be like, what's happening? You know, you might not even say nothing, right? But if I get on the elevator and I recognize you, oh shit, you Carlos. That's when I celebrate the moment. That's when you become a celebrity, when you got more people that are willing to acknowledge you once they recognize, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:44:02 So I just played that this whole way. That's all I've been on. I'm gonna make sure people recognize me. And that's one of the reasons I always do. I always do different things because I was better recognize me. Like, yo, they acknowledge, you know what I'm saying? I don't really care for them to acknowledge me for the trolling I do. I rather acknowledge me for the good I do.
Starting point is 00:44:26 But I put it in the work, the man I always to, you know, to be who I am. And I'm unapologetic about it. I don't, man, you know, I don't do nothing with malice intent. So sometimes, man, people are like, man. You kind of offended me with something. I'm so sorry, brother. That was not by intent. You just got hit with it.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You got the... Oh, this cross, man. Yeah, it happens sometimes, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, man. That's why I won't be upset when a nigga get at my head. I'm like, man, whatever. Part of the game.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Yeah, all that. All that. You do, yeah. You take shit in stride with a smile and you go and get you some money, man. I fuck with you, bro. Like, I ain't never really seen you yelling all in the... screen or Young Jack loses it.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Yeah, he'd be mad as hell on the Vlad interview. That'd be controlled, though. Ah, but... That ain't even mad, man. That's just, sometimes... Yeah, they ain't say mad, they say Young Jock gets passionate. Passionate, there you go. Because sometimes, man, that's the business at.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Sometimes, you know, you wake up one day and you realize, you just start realizing some real toxic traits. toxic traits, you start realizing the level of toxicity that's around you. You start realizing how much deceit is in your message. You know, sometimes you don't even realize you got them, you're kicking some bobo. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:45:55 You don't realize it until somebody pull your coat tell you, you just wake up on them and be like, man, I'm really talking some bullshit. And it ain't enough of us ready to itself that, you know what I'm saying? It's when you get old and you listen back to something that shit you say, you're like, damn. I wasn't talking about shit, for real.
Starting point is 00:46:11 I stood, I don't know about that light, but it wasn't talking about shit. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I just be passionate, man. You know, it's funny that he'll be talking about, oh, you're trying to be Charleston White. Now the fucking ain't.
Starting point is 00:46:24 I got all, this is a whole other finesse. This ain't that. Yeah. You know? I don't do what he do. I'm not even on none of that. I'm just expressing what I feel about certain things that pled us in our community.
Starting point is 00:46:36 I'm not a little boy no more, you know what I'm saying? So a nigga, that's why I don't really have issues with niggas out here. I don't put myself in a position to let a nigger little boy me. I'm gonna speak passionately on what I feel is, it should be spoken passionately about. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:46:50 Yeah. You know, I'm talking about no snitch and shit. You know, it's, it's like that's the, like, that's the ultimate, real nigga ritual. Like, well, you can't snit, but it's no snitching by the whole hood. And I understand that. Now, how you feel, right?
Starting point is 00:47:08 Like, nigger can't come around. your head slit, right? Yeah, exactly. Right, okay. You feel like that too, right? Yeah, I wouldn't want to be, right? You win, right? But if a nigga a killer, you cool with that?
Starting point is 00:47:22 No. I don't like people who get violent. Why are you killing people, right? Don't come over here. Don't come over here. Don't come over here. Do you kill somebody? What I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:47:32 Why did you come here? I like to get around people who still got dreams. I'm not talking about y'all on that. A list of shit that they want to do. We don't want to be around about what I'm saying. Let's not act like it ain't niggas like that around you. I know. Or have been around you.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Not no more. I understand. But in the time they was around you, until you grew to who you are today, the niggas was around you. Now you wouldn't let a snitch be around you. Some of the niggas was the killer and the snitch. Sometimes it's the same niggas.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Okay, so that's the part on top. I ain't gotta say shit out there. Exactly. No, that's it. You weren't wrong in the same thing that you said. will kill you and tell you. You weren't wrong with anything you said. And it's your home.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Niggia, toned on me, said I would do the killing and killed me. I was scared. The nigga, with my hands in the club two weeks ago, made me shit on myself and brought my baby, mom. I was scared. He broke my arm. No, man. I don't be around people like, I'm a comedian.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I get it. I get it, Lord. I'm just saying, in our culture, let me for real. You're saying what's celebrated? We celebrate the killer. Yeah, and the music is the thing. And you'll be like, you know, brother, I'm going by shit, but you know, they ain't got down.
Starting point is 00:48:44 You know, brother, I'm ain't going for none of that. Them boys gonna spread the block. Like, it's like. Celebrate that. It's kind of celebrated. But then in the minute, we talk about a snitch, even if he didn't snitch on a nigger, he was doing dirt with it.
Starting point is 00:48:55 If he just happened to see some shit and he was right there, he on camera, he saw it, he saw an innocent kid get their light to, and nigg was like, man, knitched on me. And that ain't really even snitching. That was just shit cooperating because I witnessed him my child. You killed a child, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:49:10 But see, all that shit is still falling on the snitching. A nigger still try to put that under that, right? Mm-hmm. Right. I mean, yeah, I guess by the cold that they say they're going about. But even by the gangster shit, the cold, right? It's supposed to be some cold. Right.
Starting point is 00:49:27 It's supposed to be. Who the fuck said that all black people are telling? Where is the cold? Where the cold? Is the cold really now? Who the fuck said that this shit applies to all black folks? I know what I'm saying. But it's, but even if it's not.
Starting point is 00:49:39 It's what be, it's what being. The cold is what's plaguing us, my boy. I got you. Even if it ain't. That shit affects you. I don't go fucking if you are Ivy League, Phil, Dr. Hustable, and you live over here out of the way.
Starting point is 00:49:53 That shit affects us all, man. You know what I'm saying? And then corroborate with the police should never be no thing. And I think you, you get into the, what you call it of it? Of the word, no, um, what I'm supposed to say?
Starting point is 00:50:07 resources, they shouldn't need no fucking help. They know every their goddamn thing. They don't need no help. See, I ain't put the emphasis on those snitching. I'm not putting emphasis on that. Right. I'm putting emphasis on all the other shit that we celebrate. It is a lot of negative shit.

I knew I wanted to obey and submit. but I didn't fully grasp for the rest of my life what that meant. In the woods of Minnesota, a cult leader married himself to 10 girls and forced them into a secret life of abuse. Why did I think that way?
Starting point is 00:50:55 Why did I allow myself to get so sucked in by this man and thinking to the point that if I died for him, that would be the greatest honor? But in 2014, the youngest of the girls' escape and sparked an international manhunt. For all those years, you know, he was the predator and I was the prey. And then he became the prey. And women have quietly listened. And all that stops here. If you like witty women, then this is your tribes. With guests like Corinne Steffens. I've never seen so many women protect predatory men. And then me too happened.
Starting point is 00:53:58 And then everybody else wanted to get pissed off because the white said it was okay. Problem. My oldest daughter, her first day in ninth grade, and I called to ask how I was going. She was like, oh, dad, all they were doing was talking about your thing in class. I ruined my baby's first day of high school. And slumflower. What turns me on is when a man sends me money. Like, I feel the moisture between my legs when a man sends me money.
Starting point is 00:54:20 I'm like, oh, my God, it's go time. You actually sent it? Listen to the Good Mom's Bad Choices podcast every Wednesday on the Black Effect Podcast Network, The IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you go to find your podcast. Do you remember Vine? It changed the internet forever, and it vanished in its prime. I'm Benedict Townsend, and this is Vine, six seconds that changed the world. The untold story of genius, betrayal, and the app that died so that TikTok could thrive.
Starting point is 00:54:51 From overnight stars to the fall that no one saw coming, we're breaking down what made Vine iconic. Listen to Vine on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Let me just ask you this. Go ahead. Name an elder and your family that you respect. You know, grandmama or somebody? All of them. Grandma and grandma.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Yeah, hell all of, man. You know, can you take your grandmother and your daughter and your son, right? and play some of the shit that we're playing right now in the room with them and really feel comfortable watching your 80 and 90 some of your grandmother listen to this or yo 8, 9, 10, 10, 8, 9, whatever, you know what I'm saying? Yo, child, listen to this shit. Would you feel comfortable? Like, I'm saying, just listening and turn it up and recite the lyrics and really say the shit that's in the records that we're playing.
Starting point is 00:55:53 I'm talking, really, really, friend. I mean, that's just view of discretion, John. No, no, no, no, no, I'm not going to sit in and play all. I'm not going to play the wrong shit with my grandma and my baby in there. We got shit for a... I ain't talking about it. We don't got to listen to the hard shit in front of grandma and the baby. It's not that we got to do that, but what I'm saying is if you can't listen to it, at least with them.
Starting point is 00:56:14 Then that means something in that message got your heart feeling like it's a level of disconnect, disrespect, right? Some shit I don't want to hear in front of the baby and grandma. Everything got a place. I know, and the place that the shit that we put in our music is fucking over Grandma and the baby. Well, that's what I'm saying, John. It's supposed to be more than one place to get music. We don't have to all listen to the same shit.
Starting point is 00:56:37 You're absolutely right, bro. I'm not here to go against the music. I'm just saying some of the shit that we listen to, that we're riding to, that you don't even think affect you. You be having some emotions that you got down don't even have to express, but the music will make you feel the way. You're supposed to have a selection of music. Sometime I wanna hear some shit about some shit
Starting point is 00:56:56 I know I ain't never gonna do. I'm gonna go sell dope all up in these people job. I'm kingpin today. I'm the most aggressive nigga on the street. We shot everybody. And then I might ride home and listen to some niggas like Chance the rapper or Kendry Lamar rap about the pyramids or the alphabet.
Starting point is 00:57:13 You don't have to keep, you listen to the shit that you pick. Don't nobody wanna hear the same shit all the time? But these, I think we're the last generation. that really do that shit. No, the fuck we not. We're the first generation to do this shit. Now, it's niggas that listen to one nigga all the time. It's niggas that, like, these young people,
Starting point is 00:57:33 they only listen to what the fuck has listened. That's what the fuck young people do. What is it that we're missing? What is it that young people do? They do the same shit all the time. They want to do the exact same shit. So okay, I'll give it to you like this is different. Once they make a decision that they like this shit,
Starting point is 00:57:50 that's all the fuck they like, they fanned out, until they grow out of this shit. I give you this difference. Sometimes they don't grow out of it. I give you the difference. Sometimes they don't, but we can't save everybody. The motherfuckers who get it will. Look at this room full of people.
Starting point is 00:58:02 We all listened to the most terrible shit growing up. We're the busts wide open generation. We was literally outside. But this is what I'm saying. But this is what I'm saying. So this is what I'm saying. We the last generation that took the shit for what it was. We took it for entertainment.
Starting point is 00:58:22 And we took. the shit that we could apply from the music and used it in our life. That's why we like hustling shit. But nigga, corporate bitches, that's all they listen to. These bitches listening to Jeezzy, Gucci. This is what they're listening to
Starting point is 00:58:38 because they're able to take the shit that you're supposed to take from it. But I hear what Jack's saying because it's a whole generation now and they only taking the negative shit from it and taking it at face value and not like it's entertainment. And not like it's entertainment. Hey, this is,
Starting point is 00:58:53 entertainment purposes only. They ain't got no, yeah, there's nobody got no. We're the motherfuckers supposed to be showing them the difference. But hold up. But as I'm sitting here telling you about it, and y'all got some of the, y'all are one of the most viewed platforms.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Right. And as we sit here, I'm telling you, because I'm not here to, I'm not on a tour. I'm not here to shoot down our music, bro. You know what I'm saying? I don't even want that to be misconstrued. You know what I'm saying? No, this is 857.
Starting point is 00:59:20 I know, but you know, but you don't know. We're solution base, man. We get it. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no. I get all that. But it's good combo. Right. On your platforms, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:31 And the same kids we're talking about, they tune in. So when I'm just trying to, what I'm telling you. And ain't nobody checked on them either. That's the other thing. Your stance is what it is on that. Because I feel the same way you feel too, right? But then when I step back and I look, the more, let me really just ask myself what's going on side of me.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I'm seeing the shit through a different. through a different filter and it's not just a music it's just a way of life our lifestyle bro you know what I'm saying yeah like like niggas is is really happy when other niggas is dying niggas is laughing and we make a joke we're smoking the nigger I'm smoking in the room I'm just saying that's in the music I'm smoking that bit that said that shit about emmette we smoking on her pack what's her that that what the kids say I didn't about you established ad rich ad grown man what the fuck who told you I'm You're fucked up, man.
Starting point is 01:00:21 I don't do this shit every week because I got money piled up. I'm talking about it. I'm talking about it. He's hussing numbers. One-on-one. Come on, man. That's why we brought you on here, Jack. Teach us today.
Starting point is 01:00:32 No, man. Because it's just, I think it's such a hard conversation for us to have sometimes. But we micro-focusing. Because we got plenty of people putting out good shit that don't get celebrated the way the game. There you go. There you go. There you go. But that should tell you right, the majority don't want to hear that shit.
Starting point is 01:00:49 Well, what's getting me? pushed. Now, you know I got to come back and say, now you do work at the radio. Come on. Corporate entrance. Now I heard you playing the trap music early. Get what? I don't program that shit. Oh, now I don't. Now that's how I don't program that shit. I don't.
Starting point is 01:01:04 But you got a responsibility too. You programmed this, right? Because you know if he can program that shit, he played all his songs. I wouldn't. No, I would. I would. I would do what he's supposed to do. But it's so shit. But it is some shit that, bro. I'm gonna keep it a hundred with you.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Keep it a hundred. It serves shit out here, and that's what I'm talking about. I'd be like, damn, like, I remember when we used, we couldn't do this. Like, this shit wasn't allowed. Like, damn, wait,
Starting point is 01:01:32 we don't, we don't just got that lax where we don't care. That's what I'm acknowledging it. I'm not trying to downplay it. Like, I'm just acknowledging what it is. It's like you wake up one day like, down. Like, down, like, down. Like, damn, I'm in the car with the kids. And the new Drake in 21 shit jamming.
Starting point is 01:01:55 And that niggas say, what is that you on your peer, babe? Can you suck it? My little nephew said that shit. I would like, he looked at me like, hell yeah, that was a bar, wasn't it? And I looked at him and I was like, man, I was like, damn, hey, hey, boy, don't be, hey. Don't say that out loud no more, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:02:22 Right. Because I know it's in the head. He knew it. Yeah. What he's talking about? But I'm like, damn. Don't sing that part. We ain't hear shit like that.
Starting point is 01:02:32 But you ain't tell him why. You know what you know? No, we talked about it. He, and what's interesting, he told me, he said, Uncle Jack, I know I'm going to say that. Right. I was going to say it with me. Because he went Uncle Jop? Yeah, what he said.
Starting point is 01:02:43 Because you're a rapper. Right. Right. I like God down. Yeah. We didn't got sensitive, Joe. Yeah. You just got sensitive.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Bring up Jock lyrics. Come on, Jock. Bring them up. Come on, Jock. We're gonna run them on the screen. Now you, now we can't play shit in front of Grandma. You had Grandma doing this shit off of them. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:03:06 The Grandma put their hip out of place. But every ball was not talking about. Me and me had the casino. It's going down. And we go to the casino now. Yeah, you went a lot of places, but you ain't shoot up them places. That would, I look back. I look back and I appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Jog, you're the same nigga that said, I knocked the pussy out. He went to all the places, he didn't show up. This miss I knocked the pussy out. Yes, sir. Yeah, yes, sir. Yeah, I been, yeah. I stand firm on that.
Starting point is 01:03:30 I knocked the pussy out, knock it out, knock. Come on, John. I stand firm on that. Yeah. Yeah. We can't play that in front of the babies and grandpa. That wasn't for them. You're right.
Starting point is 01:03:39 What? Ain't no butt, Jack. I made that. I made that. You made it. No, not it's straight. You don't want your kids to hear it. And I did.
Starting point is 01:03:47 And I acknowledge that. We're gonna knock the pussy out in front of you. No, I acknowledge that. My grandma got a head, your grandma got a head too. I knocked the pussy out, right? Knock it out, knock it out. This is your dad, son. This is your friend, son.
Starting point is 01:04:02 This is your first, son. Yeah. River Rock Baptist Church. Yeah, this is your grandpapers. This shit. Now the kids can't hear. This is how you all going to school. Hey, listen.
Starting point is 01:04:15 Pussy is got you. No, but that's not. They didn't get played on the radio. You're right. They did. They did. They did. They did.
Starting point is 01:04:23 They did. They might do it in a mix. They might do it in a mix. We're out, not get out. They're playing on the radio. They'll bleak pussy. They'll let you say it three times. Nah, man, you know the Kings are doing that Ying Yang.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Come on, man. Yengeg make the clean version. And you forget they were even talking about fucking. Yeah. They went crazy. Wait till I show you this. You said, you told it, girl, you're a man. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:04:47 I show you this. Jock told the girl. You're gonna wait till you see my dick. Yeah. Jock told the girl, he's gonna make her pussy B-Bop. But the kids and the grandma can't hit it. I like that, Joe. But that guy, it was edited out for radio.
Starting point is 01:05:05 You didn't have to say it. What the radio say? You didn't have to get your black ass in that booth and say it. They shouldn't have to edit it. Now you want everybody to stop talking about fucking in violence. Because you're in the church job.
Starting point is 01:05:17 No, no, no, no. What the red was gonna do it is. Because I still perform this music to today. And you still make it do some bebop. Knock a pussy out, not. And you still knock, you're knocking on. I knock, y'all have a good night. Knock the pussy out, knock it out.
Starting point is 01:05:32 You're walking out. And then you come out like a wrestler. Come on, man. Stone cold music. Hey, man. Glass shattered, and I knock the pussy out. Not the pussy out. Closing.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Jock, you're gonna do knock the pussy out tonight? Take that on the set list. My grandma, I don't know what you're talking about. Jack, you've been closing on this the whole tour. You don't want to do it in Atlanta? You're from here. All your friends are waiting. Your grandma out there.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Your grandma has out. I hope they do not the pussy out. And baby, I don't know why you ain't know myself. Now, let me tell you. Why you ain't do the one way you make the pussy be by? No, no, no. I didn't know. I don't been in some boys.
Starting point is 01:06:19 See? And some grandma's done been like, hey, I want to hear all that, see? Yeah. Yeah. See, John. That's what I'm saying. Hey, I'm talking about having sex.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I'm not talking about killing, bro. I'm all there you go. There you go. That's the expression. Ain't that what it's called? Created Free. Not the, not the coochie out on the radio. Jack, I play that shit every time it's a function.
Starting point is 01:06:43 My birthday was a couple weeks ago. We played it here. Loud. Loud. Loud. Loud. We ain't put the kids up in nothing, John. We did it.
Starting point is 01:06:52 I'm sorry. Dispickable. This is a grown folk party. The last time I hear a nigger used that in the company. It's despicable. Shouldn't have made it. Only that nigga in the suit can say, that's a favorite.
Starting point is 01:07:06 It's a favorite. That's the favorite. She came straight from the fabric. Yeah, I know it's the fabric. No, I ain't, you know. I just need to speak all. I know. But you did say you're gonna make a deal with the bebop.
Starting point is 01:07:18 I did. I did. I said a lot of shit. You did. You did. You did. That album sold a lot of fucking records. It did.
Starting point is 01:07:27 It did. It did. Now your life has changed now we can't play it. It's fucking crazy, man. Y'all rap'n't niggins. Get that money and just change. I didn't say you can't play it. But what I'm selling.
Starting point is 01:07:40 You said, my grandma in the baby in the room. Skip that one. Skip that one. Skip that one. Skip, but what I'm saying is, with that type of song, listen, with that type of song, that's how the grandma and the baby got him. But the music that I'm talking about is the shit that I said, Grandma, and you and the baby away from him.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Because some grandma is in their blues, and that blues was nasty too. That's what I'm talking about. That's the difference. But do you understand that the niggas who do that violence and make violent music, they gonna do that shit anyway. I know it. We're not, that shit ain't even supposed to be. It's back to what you were saying about.
Starting point is 01:08:14 saying about somebody got to let these motherfuckers know this for entertainment purposes this ain't why we focused on that it's motherfuckers out here rapping about butterflies why they need you to believe that you got you got to believe a rap nigger ain't telling you this shit for entertainment no i'm saying somebody trying to say that oh g got to say it ain't no oj's though yeah that's what i'm trying to say hard to say that yeah who the i don't i'm watching you stand on this shit you thought you standing on this shit yeah i thought this was really what going on you can't tell me it's entertainment right and yeah that's what we found out you're not going to get the same fan out of me that's what we found out it's not for entertainment don't you see all these
Starting point is 01:08:52 motherfuckers in jail right now that what i'm saying doing all the shit that they said they'll never do and a lot of these niggas is is going there's a lot of fast but we came face we got to celebrate the motherfuckers who outside some people going always get a pass to do shit so just celebrate the ones outside we're going to celebrate the motherfuckers if you do bad shit all year and overlook the ones ones who keep fucking love. Yes, as long as you're not doing this shit in real life, John. What you mean? As long?
Starting point is 01:09:18 We're going to have to separate the motherfuckers who really entertainers from the killers. That's it. We're going to support the entertainers, and we're going to shun the killers. Because they're going to be killers either fucking way. You think a song about a nigger that really died in the shit, and they sing about it. Once you know the nigger really died, depending on the situation given, you view it the same. Oh, I don't know the thing that's dead. I'm gonna celebrate it more, bro.
Starting point is 01:09:45 He's gonna be like, he's telling this story from his boy. He's gonna celebrate it more. Listen, I'm not saying we don't listen to the music, bro. What are we gonna do, Jock? I'm not saying I don't listen to this music. Yes. I'm not saying, hey man, I'm gonna listen to rap anymore.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Man, we hear this shit and it's in you now. It's like you know it when you hear it. That while I'm not here, I'll be like, by this nigga, he'll be hard. But Jock, you got the position. Listen, listen. Bro played me a record today from a young cat. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:15 I can't remember his name. Off of board, this young nigga was spitting. And you won't even remember his fucking name. John, that's the shit I'm talking about. If that nigger said the terrible shit, you'd be like, that nigga name. He said... What the name was?
Starting point is 01:10:30 Apollo Kid. Now look, but John, your position is you gotta help them niggas. You have a voice. The motherfuckers who's saying the shit that you like to hear, you gotta help. I had the nigga went hard, baffle, baffle, baffle. Put them on. Nick, hard.
Starting point is 01:10:45 But listen. And after I finished listening to it, I was like, hell, nigger hard. Put them on. But do I even want to be attached to any of that type of shit anymore as far as trying to push a certain narrative with the music? You say you want to push a good one? At this point in my, that ain't my focus, no longer.
Starting point is 01:11:07 Oh, you got your money, you straight, and we can't play beat the pussy-up around the girl, You can help these niggins. Find the niggins that you like who putting out the content that you fuck with and be young, John, I can put them on. Like, look, the people who got out there. What I'm trying to do right now, okay?
Starting point is 01:11:22 What you're trying to do? What I'm trying to do is continue to spread love, my brother. Man, fuck that love, bro. That love got us fucked up. Fuck love, Jock. Even Rihanna said that shit. Fuck love, Jock. We are a black community.
Starting point is 01:11:37 We're trying to get our paperwork straight. So what are we doing about? Putting these young niggins on. that you do fuck with and so we can quit talking about the niggas who gonna be niggins either way y'all been ready to get out the subject no we ain't look that you gave a fuck about this we we lured you into this part of the conversation I still do because look I'm still keeping tabs on what time it is I still do I'm just saying John that's why you got to stop through here every three weeks or so so
Starting point is 01:12:04 we can have these healthy debates and every time you come guess what we're playing I knocked the pussy I'm not It out, y'all get out. Even if you bring your grandma. Yeah. Make a motherfucking song. My grandma definitely come up in this mall with me, y'all. Young Jack.
Starting point is 01:12:21 No, man. But listen, listen, I don't want to leave on that. You know what I'm saying? This is your show. I don't leave on that. Do you, hold on. Don't leave on that. Look at this job.
Starting point is 01:12:31 No, no. Leave how you. Just because I was on here talking so much shit, which I got a bag. I know how much you like swag, so I got some shit, man. I've been waiting on this. Yeah. I have, man. Oh, that's it.
Starting point is 01:12:41 right now. I want the one with the yoke, dad is. Hold on, let me see. I got one soft. Daddy, that's what I want. This one. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:50 I appreciate it. New toy. We're dropping this shit. I like it. Every different city. Like it. Come on, man. You know what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:12:58 Come on. He ain't right that, though. I don't want you to think. He wrote it. He didn't. I make sure. That shit doesn't need. A girl on that shit.
Starting point is 01:13:08 That shit too need. Nah, nigg did fuck up your name on me. He'd fuck up your name on the first. He tried to write your first name, Nick wrote Joyce. I was like, Nick ain't no white. You think that nigga named Joyce, my nigga. You fuck his Joyce, my nigga.
Starting point is 01:13:20 That's what you just fuck jock. Hey, man. Sue Hitchin ain't. Nah. No, man, you know, I just realized everything I just did today. And I just realized, man, I have had a long-a-day, bro. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:43 I got up and went to radio this morning. You built for it. Got off radio, I went to court. I left for it, I'm working on a new movie that I'm filming. I went and did that. I left from the set of this new movie, and I went and filmed. I'm seeing with love and hip-hop. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:59 I left love and hip-hop, and I came here. Yeah. And when I leave here, I got a whole party to go to at Boogaloo. Then I got to be right back up in the morning and do radio again. again at 4 a.m. Hold up. Jock, what's your birthday? September, the 20. Okay. That ain't had shit to do with that.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Yeah. But when my birthday come up, they always be like, it's young Jock. I'd be like, I don't think that nigga birthday or anything. Oh yeah, they say I'm in April. I don't know. Somebody did that shit at the label. Yeah.
