Starting point is 00:00:36 that are widely ignored by governments and the media. Like personal space invaders. I've had it with these couples that sit on the same side of the booth. Yak mouths. Stupid stick figure bumper stickers. Almond milk. You cannot milk an almond. Hi, I'm Jennifer. And I'm Angie. We call her Pumps, and we're the hosts of I've Had It. Pumps, tell the listener where they can find us. Apple, Spotify, Amazon, or wherever you get your podcasts. Nailed it. See you next Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Recorded live at Corolla One Studios with Adam Corolla and board-certified physician and addiction medicine specialist, Dr. Drew Pinsky. You're listening to The Adam and Dr. Drew Show. Yeah, get it on. Got to get on it. Get it
Starting point is 00:01:24 on. Dr. Drew, board-cert get it on. Got to get on. Get it on. Dr. Drew, board certified physician. Speculative. Speculative. Specialist. Here's an interesting sidebar comment. I was thinking about it. I talked to a lot of people, and they give me weird answers. You know?
Starting point is 00:01:42 It happens with Mike August all the time. He's the best. He's the best. i said to mike the other day i was like uh we're we're going to vegas and uh you know it's always burbank to vegas burbank to vegas burbank to vegas and then i go uh and then the next day we go to Colorado. So then I go, Vegas to Colorado. What time's the flight? And where do we land in Colorado? And he goes, well, we take off from Burbank and we go to Vegas. And all I do is repeat.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I will then just repeat exactly what I said. Now, I understand everyone's fucking around looking at their phone or TV or something like that. You repeat it. But here's what I'm saying. That never happens to me because I say to the person, sorry, I was looking at something. What was the question again? I don't just give whatever the closest answer is, which a lot of people, many people I speak to don't answer the question I ask them. Well, that's different, though, I think, because I see that happen to you a lot. Yeah, it happens a lot.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Not when people are on their phone to say it, but when people are on their phone or are distracted, you may not be aware you're distracted. And so there's sort of – I think that's the problem. Yeah. And so there's like – they don't have that observing presence. And so they heard you the little bit that they heard and went on with the answer that they thought they were responding to. Yeah, I don't know what they think they're responding to. they were responding to.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Yeah, I don't know what they think they're responding to. I just think if you – there's no harm in saying I didn't – can you repeat it? But see, I think that you expect them to be aware that they didn't catch it. Yeah, you're right. Our brains fill in a lot. Well, not my brain, but – Not your brain, but brains do fill in a lot. Well, not my brain. Not your brain. But brains do fill in a lot. And memory is the clearest example of that. But we do it all day long.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Things we think we're seeing, we're not seeing. How shot is memory? How bad is memory? In 2024. Whenever somebody says, I remember, whenever I say I remember, I always, it needs to be sort of couched in some sort of frame as we know how impaired memory is, but here's my memory. Memory is completely inaccurate, of course, but here's what I remember. That's it. To go, here's what happened is false.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Just don't do that. All right. Amy, did you find the jordan peterson statement sorry i'm gonna have byron jump on that all right what you looking for byron sorry i'm looking at his uh latest uh statements that he's put out youtube videos and such but it's no no written written written okay go on his podcast go on i remember I said he released a statement. It was well written. Oh, well written a week ago or so. Yes?
Starting point is 00:04:52 So it's going to be on his Twitter, I would think. This is always the issue. It would be either Twitter or Instagram or both. But Byron, the week ago part, right? Yeah. But did you hear it the first time? No. Or maybe not? I just missed the week ago part. Okay. I didn't hear the week
Starting point is 00:05:13 ago part either, to tell you the truth. I heard recently. I heard it. That's what my brain filled in with. So it's a good example of that. I accept that you said... Oh, now we have to check the tape? I accept that you said... I'm willing to accept that you said a week ago but my memory and my brain what we're talking yes i wouldn't mind seeing the tape i'm gonna say you're more likely to be correct than me i'm 100 more likely because i said a week ago yeah and i said it was not i i don't i don't
Starting point is 00:05:41 remember the written part i said it was was like well-crafted or something. There was something. You're right. I'm not sure you used the word written, but you framed it in such a way as clearly a written statement. Well, you know what's interesting? Here's what's interesting. Yeah. You and I are old school.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Yeah. When I say he released a statement a week ago, I assume people think I'm talking about written. That is true. But that doesn't hold true anymore. Correct. Right? And I did follow on by saying, though, Andy had a video last night with his daughter, an interview with his daughter.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I have found that nine out of 10 marching orders when I give to people, like, do this, here's what it was, here's what to look for. Two or three elements are missing from that? Well, listen, they've studied this in medicine. Oh, they have? Oh, my God. It's been studied and studied and studied. And the optimum takeaway when a doctor says, here's what you have, here's how to understand what it is, and here's what I want you to do,
Starting point is 00:06:39 the optimum, the absolute peak that a patient takes away, 20%. Oh, really? So you have to say it and say it and say it and say it. We know that as physicians, we have to say it over and over and over again. I wonder if numbers could help. I write it down. I have to write it down all the time. All the time.
Starting point is 00:07:00 I say it three times and I go, should I write it down for you? And they always go, yes. Oh, they do? Yeah. Well, yeah well that's good yeah we've got them trained all right well we'll uh amy's doing some on the fly downloading yeah but i still want to check the tape now because i want to check your memory yeah yeah it'd be interesting because i i i would say the word recently, I would give it a 70% probability in my – given what my memory is telling me. I don't know that that's true or not, but that's what it feels like, 70% probable. The word recently is in there. Yeah. And then I would say I would never deny somebody – well, actually, there are many people i would deny when they go you said but
Starting point is 00:07:45 those are all the idiots that always say you said and they're never right um but drew's not in that category so nor i'm in the category that said i remember no no way i would say here's where i'll sign off i would say recently and then say about a week ago i would go with both it might have been and there's a lot there's something embedded in that too because isn't it interesting that our brain grabs what it needs. It doesn't grab the whole information. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:08:15 All right. Well, when Emmy's done downloading, we'll see if we can. I'm excited to see this. Wait, how many minutes into that last show was that? That was. 25? 28, I would would say it was right towards the end wasn't it yeah i i don't know if i would have gone that far 25 26 and a half
Starting point is 00:08:33 all right what else on your mind so you and i've talked a little bit about this but i don't think we've talked about this on this show which is um I'm really worried. Things have gone extreme in one direction. Emmy's coming with a puss on. Are you ready to look that up for us? Is that what you're doing? He's got a download. Byron's looking that up for you, but I've got to upload the show. But in the meantime, I did find probably a week ago, out of reference, a week ago.
Starting point is 00:09:03 And was the word recently never came in never is that fascinating i didn't think i said recently but i will i will defer to the person who heard it likewise i mean that's why i brought it up um so uh i i'm worried these you know things have gone so far in one direction i'm seeing the pendulum swing hard the other way at times, and it frightens me. And one of the – again, this is the guillotines. You can't – you've got to take the scaffolding down. You just can't keep putting people on guillotines. And the latest version that's sort of clear to me needs to be interrupted is this idea that people that were engaged in advocating lockdowns or vaccine mandates and who were really aggressive with that stuff somehow need to be punished. And two things.
Starting point is 00:10:00 I have two reactions to that. One is I've already expressed. Just stop with the guillotine. It's just got to stop. It's got to stop somewhere. Here's where it stops. People were hysterical. I get it.
Starting point is 00:10:09 The other problem is we need to get to the truth. We need to document exactly what happens, and we need to put safeguards in place to make sure it never happens again. And we are not going to get to the truth if you start threatening people with criminal action for things they did as government officials or health care workers or whatever. You know what I mean? Well, no. Yes, sort of word, your reputation, your dignity, stuff we stopped talking about. We stopped talking about dignity.
Starting point is 00:11:00 We stopped talking about reputation and character and all that honor when i was arguing with that shrew gloria all red and she was saying to me about michael richards dropping uh 75 n bombs in two minutes on stage at the laugh factory and she was she was saying to me, I mean, you can hear it when we argue, she was representing the black people in the audience that night. Yeah. To sue Michael Richards, right? And I said, I don't get it. You know, what if there were fat people in the audience that night? Who's making fun of fat people?
Starting point is 00:11:42 Should they be sued? They always go, that's a different thing. No, it is not a different thing. It's a group that feels hurt by what the person on stage was saying. So are they entitled to compensation or not? By the way, I found out that I'm better than every lawyer
Starting point is 00:11:55 with zero law training just because I have concise logic and so I always beat them. No matter how much logic they have, I'm always better than they are. Sadly, especially when you're paying them 700 fucking bucks an hour to settle your divorce, that's the sad part. But the clear-minded brain, the crystal brain will always trump the hourly whoever. brain will always trump the hourly whoever and so um michael richards is dropping n-bombs and she wants to sue so i say to her uh you know i don't get it why does he have to pay and then
Starting point is 00:12:37 she says shouldn't he be punished and then i say oh he's going to be punished. And she goes, what do you mean? Because in her fucked up lawyer world, everything is about money. So there's no punishment. My son said in lawyers, he's a lawyer, and he said it's either some sort of jail or whatever the state allows. I said Michael Richards. Or money. That's it. That's how they see the whole world. Michael Richards is a pariah who will never work again in this town.
Starting point is 00:13:07 They don't care. You don't think that's punishment? And by the way. Because if people aren't paying money, they don't make money. What do you think rich guys do all day? They rape some intern and quietly write her check for 800 grand. Because they have millions of dollars. And you think that's punishment to them, cutting a check? That's because they have millions of dollars. And you think that's punishment to
Starting point is 00:13:26 them cutting a check? That's what they do. Do you think Michael Richards would have loved to cut a check and have all this go away? Right? So he is being punished. So your reputation, your word, your accuracy, and your integrity, and your character character that's your most precious commodity speaking of which I would love to listen to the tape of your Jordan Peterson reference just to see how we all remember it just to bring it forward
Starting point is 00:13:57 and actually hear what was said alright now well I know what I said so that's why I roll others around me they get between 33% and 41% of what I say. 20%, my friend. What I say. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Now, here's the question, Drew. I don't want these people jailed. I want their reputations destroyed. Yes, I agree. I want people to be furious, angry. And not listen to them. And not listen to them. In the future.
Starting point is 00:14:29 But that applies to the government and the public health. And if I'm a 17-year-old who lost his high school experience because the rest of my life I would be on a warpath. I agree. I do think there should be punishment for teachers unions and what's her name shrew du jour who's you know allow the market to do that okay let's have let's have charter schools and blah blah yeah well good luck with i'm just saying you know newsom being paid by the student unions uh i should say the teachers unions byron did we find that clip that came out about minute 26 of the show before? I can't see Byron.
Starting point is 00:15:09 That's what, that's what Emmy was listening to, right? Oh, I didn't know if I thought Byron was, was on it. Find anything. I'm on looking for Jordan Peterson right now.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I can't. Oh yeah. I'm still looking for the pronouns thing specifically, but he tweets a lot. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:15:22 I wait, it's about the reeducation. I, right. And we re-listen to told me who's no no hold on a second i don't first off i didn't say tweet that's true i said that yeah and i did not say video he released a, a written statement about a week ago addressing Canada wanting to take him to a re-education camp and how he wasn't going to do it. The pronouns thing is five years old. Yes? Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Oh, easily. Or more than that. Right. So we can see. And this is a statement that's lengthy, Byron. It is not a tweet. It is a lengthy statement. By the way, it's kind of weird.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I guess when I say like well-worded or crafted statement, in my mind, it's two sheets of paper. Right. I don't think of a tweet. But again, this is a generational thing, right? All right, Drew will look it up. First, I'll tell you about our friend Jordan Harbinger. You're about to hear a preview of the Jordan Harbinger show with a black man that befriends members of the Ku Klux Klan.
Starting point is 00:16:40 I don't support the KKK at all. I don't support that ideology. But I support people having the right to believe as they want to believe, as long as they don't cross the face of this earth. How is it that we as Americans can talk to people as far away as the moon, but yet there's so many of us who have difficulty talking to the person who lives right next door? We are living in space age times, but there's still too many of us thinking with Stone Age minds. For more on how Daryl Davis convinced 200 KKK members to give up their robes, check out episode 540 on The Jordan Harbinger Show.
Starting point is 00:17:34 All right, we're back. Emmy's doing double duty. Byron's having the worst birthday ever. Well, that was yesterday. That's what I wanted to say. You guys want that clip real quick? Happy belated, bro. I want to hear what he, yes, I want to hear the.
Starting point is 00:17:52 All right, so we're going to hear me. I think I found the thing. I hope you didn't. No, I didn't. All right, let's hear the clip. So Byron got one message and Drew got some other words in there too, but let's hear the clip. So Byron got one message, and Drew got some other words in there, too. But let's hear what I said. Yes, there is a, I mean, Byron can find it,
Starting point is 00:18:11 but there was a very nicely worded response from Jordan Peterson, probably, it's probably a week old, where he basically explained what they were trying to do and what he was going to do. It's just a statement released. I think you guys will find it pretty well worded and pretty compelling. We'll do it on the next show. He also did a video with his daughter. All right.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Well, they didn't say recent in there. No. But it had probably a week ago, Byron, for your info. but it had probably a week ago byron for you for your info and uh and i was when i guess when i say worded in a statement i don't know why i think i i think a written me too thing but that's our old brains yes yes yes yes so we can't blame the youngins all right so you can uh it's not easy to find the statement i'm looking all over the place well Well, that's good. Yeah. It's funny that it's not somewhere in its total. It's all pieces of it here and there by the stupid press. Oh, well, now here's something. Is this a week old? You want to see that, Drew? I saw that one. Oh, you saw that one. It's not that one oh you saw that one it's not that one well i heard it
Starting point is 00:19:25 a week ago or a little less than a week ago that's why i'm putting it at a week ago and it was him refusing to go in and be re-educated by the canadians oh my god and drew what can i tell you the number one problem that's facing this country and Canada? Can I tell you? Yes, I think I found the thing. Okay. You people who voted for Trudeau or voted for Biden or voted for Gavin Newsom are turning a blind eye to the people you voted for getting way out of their lane and pushing way into the civil liberties. And really, you are the people.
Starting point is 00:20:09 And again, there's some Bill Maher's out there and there's some Russell Brands out there and there's some sort of former, you know, kind of hippy-dippy lefty guys who just went, hey, I'm not down with forcing people to get vaccinated or cutting off truckers' money supplies. Those are the people. The you and I's, we don't need us.
Starting point is 00:20:31 We've been there. We're in the tent. Fuck this. It's the cowards that voted for these people not stepping up and going, I voted for you because I liked a lot of the stuff you were talking about. This is too much, and I'm not down with this.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Monday, their Supreme Court slapped them down for what they did to the truckers. Did you see that? No, I know their court slapped Jordan Peterson down. Oh, no, no, no. They went after Trudeau. All right, I'm not complying. I'm not submitting. Now, what do you have, Drew?
Starting point is 00:21:04 I have, I swear I will do this. How old is this? Does it have a timeline? That's August. No. No. Yeah, I think this is the one. I think Byron found it.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Okay. Although this one's a little shorter than I remember, but you can read it anyway. So I'm not complying. I'm not submitting to re-education. I'm not admitting that my viewpoints, many of which have, by the way, been entirely justified by the facts that have emerged since the complaints were levied, were either wrong or unprofessional. I'm going to say what I have to say and let the chips fall where they will. That's Elon Musk.
Starting point is 00:21:42 I've adopted that phrase lately, too. I have done nothing to compromise those in my care quite the contrary i've served all my clients and the millions of people i'm communicating with to the best of my ability and in good faith and that's that january 6th this one is much longer than than that yeah um but it's of the tone but this one's really defiant and he digs into Trudeau. So that's weird. Eva Frye was going crazy on Trudeau on Monday, too. How do I hear this stuff, and then it leaves the internet?
Starting point is 00:22:14 It's weird that I could – well, I mean, it's – It's a weak goal. Look, it's Google, man. Google has ways of hiding stuff. Oh, that's what it is. Go on, what's the other one? DuckDuckGo or something. See what happens.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Oh. That'd be interesting, right? That'd be interesting. Or Truth Social. What's the other alternative one? Oh, shit. That's how indoctrinated we are to the world of Google. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Let's... Go on another one. Is he in there? Is Byron in there? Yeah, he's in there. Yeah, go we are to the world of Google. Yeah. Let's go on another one. Is he in there? Is Byron in there? Yeah, he's in there. Yeah. Go on one of the other search engines and see, is this,
Starting point is 00:22:50 this is what duck, duck, go. Yeah. That's what comes up. That's interesting. Is that it's coming right up there, right?
Starting point is 00:22:59 Uh, don't say Drew, you always do that. And then you're wrong. Forget it. Um, that's interesting though. Maybe it. That's interesting, though. Maybe it's on Parler.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Hmm. Hmm. Trying to think. Parler's still around? By the way, did you see here the taped phone interview with Carrie Lake being bribed? No. Oh, yeah. This guy comes on and goes, there are very powerful people that would like you to step down.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Name your price. And she's like, what? She goes, I won't do that. I'm here. This is about the country. He goes, anything, please. I'm begging you. Then he went on to say he was afraid he'd be killed if he didn't succeed in getting her to step down.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Wow. Yeah. That's crazy. Crazy shit. When did that happen? Anybody help me with this? No, I'm still looking. I's crazy. Crazy shit. When did that happen? Anybody help me with that? No, I'm still looking. I saw it two days ago.
Starting point is 00:23:47 But that's an interesting premise, which is this thing that I heard a week ago, maybe Google has scrubbed it because we kind of get where their politics are. But maybe Truth Social or Parler, I don't know if Parler's there. What is the one i can't think yeah not go but the other one on the rise yes well no this one is a um it's an alternative to twitter uh it's where i get her what's's Trump? Getter? Huh? Threads? No, what's Trump on? Trump got thrown off of Twitter. Truth Social, I think.
Starting point is 00:24:31 He's on Truth Social? And what else is he on? Oh, you know what? I'll tell you who to find this one. There's a conservative talk show host called Dan Bongino. What is Dan Bongino on? That'll help, and then maybe we can find this thing. All right, what else you got going, Drew?
Starting point is 00:24:54 So back to the amnesty thing. Do you agree with me that we need to get to the truth, and by being too aggressive, people are going to protect themselves? Well, look, the Fauci's of the world who are rumble rumble's the video that's a video it is it's all video well they have a they have a chat but that's i don't see if you can find on one of those alternative platforms bing bing what's the other one? I don't know. Let them try on Rumble. Right, right, right. See what happens on Rumble just for shits and giggles.
Starting point is 00:25:28 All right. Yes. Okay. Here's the deal. The Fauci's of the world are going to continue to lie and obfuscate because they have to because they're guilty of a crime, essentially. So they're going to do what they're going to do. But if you give them amnesty, maybe they'll come forward and go, all right, here's the
Starting point is 00:25:46 fact. No, he's never going to. When does that ever happen? I don't know. I never spoke to my son about business ever. Anyone in my family ever, Bob. Jesus Christ. Did you hear Biden's speech the other day?
Starting point is 00:26:07 Tarnation. Did you hear that? Tarnation. I got an experiment for you, Drew. I'm ready. Well, I think we'll do it the next show. But here's something that I found particularly interesting. Biden did a PSA fundraising thing with Obama, like just a quick, hey, you want to save democracy?
Starting point is 00:26:36 Send money, you know, kind of thing. And, but here's the gag. Here's the gag, Byron. We have to find the isolated word that I gave to Chris first, and we'll play it for Drew a couple times. Because if you destroy a word, but you go, you go, oh, you've seen South Park with Matt and Troy. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:08 You go, what was he saying? Oh, he was saying Troy. Yeah, yeah. Because you'll know. You'll feel it in. You'll feel it in. Yeah. Like you'll go.
Starting point is 00:27:14 But if you heard it isolated and you can't figure out what the word is. Yes. But the thing that's crazy to me about this is it's a PS, sorry, it's PSA. It's a fundraising produced thing with Obama. Right. So whoever shot it didn't say, oh, let's, let's try it again. Or they may have done that many times and it fucked up every time. Or, as Dawson, as Dawson said. That was the best one. No, maybe that's the way they liked it. Huh. Like they're trying to undermine him.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Well, Obama's standing right next to him, sounding super clear and bright-eyed. And Obama, of all people, could have went, Joe, you muffed that one. Let's do it again. But he didn't. So maybe he wants his wife in there. Maybe. Conspiracy. Interesting. It's his wife in there. Maybe. Conspiracy. It's kind of interesting.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Kind of interesting. Kind of interesting. At least leaves the door open to that possibility for him. Yeah. Listen, I used to do these kind of stand-up things with Jimmy all the time or whatever. And one of us muffed something or the other one muffed something. I just go, let's do it again. He turned to me and go, do it again. We used to have their dub-a-dub-a-dub-a-dub-a-dub.
Starting point is 00:28:27 All right, but do we have the isolated word? This is the last five seconds. I just trimmed it. No, not the last five seconds. Chris isolated the word. Dawson was on that. Let me ask him. Oh, it's a Dawson thing.
Starting point is 00:28:43 So Chris doesn't have it. It's like in Dawson's computer. All right. Well, you can do the last five seconds then. Well, it's going to take too long with Dawson. I thought Chris had it somewhere. Let's make history again. Chip in now.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Let's secure a brighter future together. Whoa. There's a couple things messed up there. I know, but that, you need to take it on the word. What's word? It all sounds like gribble to me. Yeah, it was a lot of gribble. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:29:12 There was a lot of gribble in there. All right. Well, we'll try to. Ship it now. You can play the whole thing, sorry. Or whatever you want. We need your help to ensure Joe's leadership continues to guide us forward. We know the other side won't rest, so we can't either.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Your donation will help give Joe and Kamala's campaign the resources it needs. Let's make history again. Chip in now. Let's secure a brighter future together. This makes history now. It was all messed up. Yeah. You know, it kind of is what's interesting now. It was all messed up. Yeah. You know, it kind of makes you wonder, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Kind of makes you wonder if you got that burp. I knew Chris would come through. That burp. I told him just, he's saying brighter future or better future. I don't know what it is. But when you isolate it, it sounds kind of crazy. That's the brighter future one. Hear it again.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Again, our brain's filling. I knew you would talk when you hit it. Bird of. Bird of. Bird of.
