you're listening to
the Adam and doctor. Drew show.
Yeah, get it on. Got to get on the chip. The government, but we're better than that.
You're more far from it.
It's a bit that that that that's going on.
Drew's game. I'm turning left when I got on the plane soon.
So excited. I got to tell.
Look, everybody, all the nomenclature and all the verbiage and all the.
Oh, this is this is premium plus.
First off, I wanna say something, Drew.
Yes, I'm listening.
We use words, like we have words for like a reason.
Yes.
You know, it's to delineate, but then distinguish.
To communicate information, to help us understand
Right right so when when I see you know when I'm going to someone's house And I see Del Monte Drive, and that's but the next read is still Monte Vista
And the next one is still Monte Boulevard. I'm like why why why do we have words?
Why why do we why do we name things back to push and pull?
Yes, it's too too close. We have names for things so we can just you know
Yeah, your kid are your kids are all named the same name
What if one of your kids funny you're saying this because you know, I've like I said
I've been working on my French for quite a while now and some of the stuff that they do I feel like oh
They're just fucking with us. Because those kinds of things where words are kind of twisted around in
very subtle ways, like, so they can have a secret code that no one else can understand.
What is that? Why are we doing that? And I think, I think, think about, have you ever
been with a group of young men when you were young, where you were sort of isolated for a period of time, you always end up having kind of a weird
little language thing evolve. Have you ever seen that? You always have your own words for a little
this and that. So I think it's in us in some way we should resist it, but we don't. Because we don't
teach English. So what the hell? So it happens. Yes, so back to premium plus and all this stuff, like
platinum premium plus, you get four inches of knee room and a box snack, you know what I mean? It's
like, I don't know what you're talking about. Also, like I said, I don't know, what was it? Jet blue or
whatever? Like I remember going, you're flying mint. I'm like, I don't know what that is. Mint,
it's a flavor. It doesn't delineate
anything. It doesn't suggest anything. You guys made that word up and you expect us to
know your words, you know? So first class used to mean first class, and it was always
the same because the little jets couldn't make it across the country. Yes now I do not know
If they got more efficient engines or more fuel capacity or what they did
But the little and the little jets couldn't make it across country much less to chicago
So you were good. If you were flying first class you're on a big jet
If you're on a big jet you had first class
Yeah, and then at some point, they figured
out a way to get the little jets across the country. In which case, first class wasn't
really first class anymore. You're in a little jet.
Yeah, there's no room.
You have the room of what a coach seat probably was 20 years ago or something before they
got scrunched. So now they go, we got your first class ticket.
Yeah, but it's on an Airbus, MD, whatever,
and it's a tiny plane.
And no, there isn't, it isn't a first,
they don't serve a meal and they don't have a screen.
Like it's not first class.
But if you turn left, and I'm telling you,
and I will tell my kids, when you get on that plane,
if you turn left, you're in real first class.
That's all there is.
There's a new version of turning left, by the way.
Which is turn left to a separate jetway.
Mm-mm.
That's a, wait a minute, that's attached?
Two jetways.
Two jetways.
I've had that happen a couple times.
So like a defining rod. Sort of. Where the winners go to jetways. Hmm. I've had that happen. So like a defining rod
Sort of where the winners go to the left. It's just you go to left sooner. Yeah, you know go through the plane Yeah, right. Yeah weird on seems unnecessary, but okay
Well, I think they have that stuff for I don't know but I'm gonna guess it's because they they were getting ready for the big double
Decker planes and stuff. So they saw one of the gates kind of has that available
so they use it.
So yeah.
Yeah, that is nice.
Yeah, I never, I have the same problem with flying
as I have with like a lot of stuff.
I don't even sort it out until the night before
and then it turns out it's not whatever I wanted.
I'm in a very good position because I have a wife
that is a travel genius.
I mean that is one of her talents.
She like, I literally will have certain things,
we go travel and I go, how did you know
to even think of that?
Or how did you know what this was gonna be like?
I look at a website, I'm like, it doesn't look like,
I don't know.
She goes, I could just tell.
Well, look, you're bringing up a good point
which is
Somebody needs to care
So this is an interesting point by the way there's a whole other layer to it too, which is saving money and using miles and and
Bonvoy well, I said all that shit and get that point Bonvoy Marriott hotel. Okay. Okay here
Okay, but let me just say this.
It all falls under the heading of caring.
Yes.
Do you see what I'm saying?
Yes, yes.
Like every weekend, every other weekend,
I come here and I organize.
And then I open up things and I find shit
that shouldn't be where it is.
Yesterday I started clearing stuff out under the sink.
Oh.
And I found my car detailer,
which is what I've been looking for.
I had car detailers and like a spray bottle.
Yeah.
And I've been searching over here
where all the car stuff is,
and where I'm cleaning.
I looked for everything,
but I didn't look under the sink,
because why would you put car detailer under a sink?
But the answer is, is if you didn't care
and it came in a squirt bottle and the other stuff.
So here's my thought.
Same thing with travel, you gotta think it through.
Okay, that's what I'm saying.
I'm not saying doesn't care.
I'm saying doesn't care to the extent that I care
so I can find my car detail
Yeah, yeah now it comes in a squirt bottle and it's for cleaning
Yeah, but it's with the cleanser and the other stuff under the sink and I wouldn't think I would be searching in the back
Looking in cupboards for car. Yep. Same thing with travel somebody has to think about where you're gonna pick up a car
I have been doing this for 15 years and my ex-wife did not care at all, even though I
would try to get her to care because I was explained, like, I'm the guys going out on
the road, you should care a little bit.
Maybe help me get my smart pass or whatever the hell it was.
TSA.
TSA plus.
And we're like, help facilitate that stuff so I can then go out on these weekends.
Never cared, never did a thing, never lifted a finger.
Fine.
I don't think that's a partnership, by the way.
I don't like the way that works.
But then the next person would be my assistant who cared as much as he got paid.
And I don't mean that in a real negative way,
but didn't care, he wouldn't care like somebody
who shared your bank account.
He wouldn't care like a partner would care.
And I would say to people all the time,
like people come around and they go,
why didn't they clean out the trash can?
You know, they put the bag in in if it's all filthy and it stinks
It's Michael. They don't care. They don't care you care. Yeah, it's your building. You know what I mean, so ultimately
The last five or ten percent needs to be done by those who care. Yeah, I spent the whole day here yesterday
Spraying out trash cans and clean up stuff
Because the people will get you
to a certain point, but then they stop because ultimately they're not getting on the airplane.
Now, a good marriage, that person cares what your experience is going to be like on the
airport.
I never had any of that.
So then it got thrust to my assistant who cared enough,
but just enough to kind of go through the nuts
and the bolts and not enough.
You'll never, you can have two things, you ready?
Yeah.
You can either physically be getting on that plane with me
and you, and then you will care, usually,
or your child can be getting on that plane and you can care for that.
The outsourcing part, where you just pay your mail assistant to care, they care 85% but they don't do the last whatever.
It's interesting. It's why travel agent was kind of a profession.
Because they had to have a pride in what they were offering, the services.
It's interesting.
But I want to quickly go around back to the bathroom.
I had an experience in your bathroom this morning.
So these bathrooms are, I've been, first of all, these bathrooms are storied, right?
We have a whole history with door closing and lights on and lights off and flushing. There's a
history there already.
But the system works perfectly.
Works fine. Works fine. That's the point. When things are a little out, I go, huh. And
I've been through many bathroom environments with you. I've gone to the man show where
there are snot rockets in front of the urinals piled up on top of each other. I've been to
your home where things are really well kept up. I've been through the crucible of the
studio here and the two bathrooms that have gone through their evolution into the present
system. But I found something in there today in the toilet that it made me actually was searching
around for an explanation.
In the toilet.
In the toilet.
You know those wax rim things?
Somebody used a wax rim.
Oh, you mean the seat liner.
The seat liner.
And I've never seen seat liners in your bathroom, in your building.
And I went on a search.
I was like, what?
Poe. what? What?
They're under the sink with the car detailing.
I looked in the, I looked everywhere.
No, I don't know where they are.
It does exist.
It exists.
OK, because I wonder if somebody brought the,
I don't know the seat.
To me, the seat liner is sort of up there with the mask
up in between bites.
Of course.
It doesn't do anything.
No, of course not. But somebody, eh, issues there with the mask up in between bites. Of course. It doesn't do anything.
No, of course not, but somebody,
eh, issues it up with the bathroom
that they felt more comfortable with that.
And it was a marked change.
Never seen...
Like a significant change in the use,
the way your bathrooms are used.
Never seen the seat line.
It was floating in the toilet?
It was sort of, it kind of gets kind of stuck
on the rim a little bit, doesn't go down with one flush.
Ah.
You know, so I got it down.
Oh.
Peed on it to make it get off the rim.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't know where you're at with that,
but I'm very hyper-ware of remnants
left behind in the toilet,
and I will stay there until it's all,
all history is gone.
Oh, 100%.
I don't know, Daphne, sea liner?
Yeah, just like in life in general. Did you bring it, or is there ones here? I don't know Daphne seedliner Yeah
Did you bring it or there's ones here? Oh, I don't know if there are ones here you bring them with you know, I
Just use them in life. You have me in your she doesn't pee here is what she's telling you She knows better than to use the toilet or she hovers. Oh you have it which is the other which is actually better
It's like the hover method or there's the you just take toilet paper
and you carefully line it yourself.
Yeah, yeah.
And I sense-
I'm just a food doctor Fauci,
but I think most of that's psychological at that point.
Of course it is.
But I sensed, the thing that really struck me about it was,
and the reason I brought up the Man Show,
I thought, well, you would never,
I mean in a million years,
and that's where you should be using the letter.
We might have some around here, Daphne.
We might, I'll take a look.
We can take a look.
All right, but I definitely had a definite like,
oh, interesting.
Well, look.
A shift, it's a change, evolution, that's all.
No, no, no, no.
Pattern, pattern, pattern, pattern.
I came pulling up today, two minutes before we're starring, I'm like, where's Dr. Druzcoff? Oh pattern, pattern. I came pulling up, I came pulling up today,
two minutes before we were starting,
I'm like, where's Dr. Drew's car?
Oh yeah, yeah.
I went, where's Dr. Drew, where's Dr. Drew,
where's Dr. Drew?
Then I stopped and I went, he's calling in remote,
maybe he's going in remote.
Then I stopped and I went, no, he's not doing remote.
He says he's gonna be here.
Says he's gonna be here.
Where's his car, where's his car?
Says he's gonna be here.
Then I thought, maybe he's gonna be pulling up in the next 30 seconds. I go, no, no, no, he's gonna be here, where's his car? Where's his car? Says he's gonna be here. Then I thought, maybe he's gonna be pulling up
in the next 30 seconds.
I go, no, no, no, he's always here first.
His car's always there.
He isn't, it took me, I had to like circle around.
Did you get into the building before you,
because I'm wondering if you saw something.
No, no, I didn't.
I was, to be fair to me, I was kind of answering a text
that was a little, you ever get the accusatory text?
Like how come a bub bub bub?
And you're going to the state where it's like,
okay, I didn't know about it,
and I didn't tell the guy, but he did it on his own.
I'll get a lot of like, by the way, the accusatory part,
I don't know how that works,
I've never done that with anybody.
I'm envious of those who send stuff free like hey, what's going on?
How come I wasn't told about this? It doesn't feel good to be blah blah blah blah blah. I don't know
There's a lot of those people
Something like that from you. I would laugh out loud. I would assume is a joke if you ever got a text from me going
My feelings were hurt. It doesn't feel good
How come or how come I wasn't told any if you ever got that, you know, it was a joke, right?
Yeah, I never said that or somebody else got hold of your phone or something
Yeah, I've never said that to know human being people like that feeling for some reason
It wasn't shitty. It was just how come this and I was in the mode of goes a little under the how dare you heading?
Which is something we made fun of our entire life. Yeah, it is a little, anyway. I was trying to answer a how come tech,
and I was trying to process your car not being there.
And I went through like three machinations,
and then I opened the door and I saw a suitcase.
So I was like, that's right, he's being picked up.
He told me he was going to the airport from here.
That's what happened if you saw the suitcase.
It all came around.
Yes, it took me 30 seconds,
but it's longer than normally does. But patterns, patterns, patterns, patterns, everyone study
everyone's patterns for good or for bad. Speaking of patterns, RFK Jr. is wanting to just look
at a pattern and see if we can explain it. The pattern on autism and how the incidence has gone up and up and up.
Do we have to take a break?
Because it's a big topic.
Yeah, we'll take a break, come back with that autism topic
right after this.

the autism thing is, of course, right?
One of the pushbacks is,
oh, everybody has to be neuro-normative.
Which I thought, I always had a feeling that was under this,
why you couldn't say, why is autism going up?
Because it's calling it, it's skating near it's a pathology.
Which it is, it's just not.
What do you mean? All right, I I remember hearing he gave a speech. He said look you're autistic
You're not gonna pay taxes. You're not gonna go to work. You're gonna have to severe autism take care of yourself
You know, and then everyone I have a son
He's he's he's autistic and he heads Nabisco up right now
It's like shut the fuck up everyone with your fucking narcissism and you know somebody and you have a son
Are you saying I don't get you know, it's a weird time of living and I keep saying
This this
Willful
Misinterpretation of what everyone is saying. Oh, yeah, I I don't I may on
Rare occasion I don't, I may on rare occasion misinterpret
what someone is saying.
It's very rare for me.
It's like, I know what they're saying.
I don't usually stop people when they're talking.
Cause when they're talking, they'll go,
people will talk and in the flow of their talk,
they will mispronounce someone's name,
or they will say some piece of information that's different than they said previously,
and things like that. And I don't stop them because I know what they're doing, what they're
saying.
Yeah.
And we're in the time of willfully misinterpreting. He said he wanted to inject bleach. Yeah. No, he didn't. News reporters, your news reporters,
you should be able to suss that stuff out. So yeah,
before you go there, that feels to me, what is this?
I'm feeling that that's the next incarnation of what used to be the slippery
slope argument or something. Yeah. Yeah. Everything was a slippery slope.
And they take it somewhere where now they just go something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Remember the slip, everything was, there's a slippery slope and they take it somewhere weird.
Now they just go there.
I don't, I do not know why members of the press
were willfully misunderstanding things
in order to make a point.
I get the point where they don't like
the person who's talking,
but willfully misunderstanding what they're saying,
whether it's good people on both sides
or inject bleach or whatever.
My favorite is the virus came from China.
Why are you being racist?
You're right, right.
Willfully fighting for China, by the way.
I love that they fight for China.
Journalists willfully misunderstanding things is insane, which is
all they do. That's all the left does. I don't know why it's their thing, but it's their
thing. They'll do it. So they're doing it with RFK. But anyway, yes, we should be looking
into this thing.
Yeah. Well, and so the other thing that has made it a third rail issue is that, oh my
God, are we going gonna, is somebody gonna
try to make it be about vaccine therapies? Like, they're gonna look at
everything. And of course vaccines might be one of the things they look at. But
and look, it might be ten things. It may not be multiple factors when we're all done,
but we should know why is medicine not able to fucking be done anymore?
Yeah, well first off, autism, I don't know.
Is this a spectrum thing?
Because if it's a spectrum thing, I may be on it.
Who are we counting?
Here's what I'm saying.
He was talking about severe autism
when he was at the podium.
Okay, well they misunderstood it.
Intentionally.
Yeah.
Okay.
So yeah, do you watch Love on the Spectrum,
that Netflix series? No. It is worth your time. Is, Daphne, are you watch love on the spectrum that in Netflix series? No, it is worth your time
It's really that you you love on the spectrum watcher
I am not but I'm just not a reality show person
The two gentlemen in the studio are yeah, it's really good. It's and you really you develop a deeper sense of
What spectrum is like all the different kinds, how subtle these things can be,
and then what it is to live with a version of it
where you're still in the world.
Yeah, you know what's interesting about Robert Kennedy Jr.
is he, when he speaks,
has a kind of mouth of babes thing,
which I know what's going on with him
Versus other people tell me
He has I have a sum of this
Conveniently, but I'll say he has a kind of pureness of his heart, you know, so when he's
Speaking about something he speaks.
And he's not, so Joe Biden has to, when he could,
okay, forget about Joe Biden,
Nancy Pelosi has to be super measured when she speaks
because there's lots of stuff in her head
that shouldn't be coming out.
You know what I mean?
Yes.
And when you're, okay, when you get picked up by the cops
and accused of murdering your wife,
but really you were just out on a walk,
then you'll sit down and they'll go,
you want a lawyer?
And you go, I don't need a lawyer.
And you go, whatever you say, can you?
You go, go ahead, roll the tape.
Please use it.
Roll the tape, roll the tape.
If you did kill your wife, then you want a lawyer,
and you speak in measured terms.
You say, well where were you that night?
And then somebody whispers in your ear and you go,
I'm not gonna answer that question.
You know, that's what Nancy Pelosi does
when she's being asked questions because she
doesn't have, because she does inside stock trading and shit. She doesn't have answers.
Kennedy Jr., he's a kind of pureness of heart because like when he gives those speeches, he's
like, well, this virus doesn't infect the black community as much as it affects the white
community so they don't need to get vaccinated with this and everyone all the fucking dumb
bow black congressmen are like what what what he's like i'm just talking he's talking just
factually he just stays factually and of a sort of purity of heart. I don't want black people getting a vaccine
that they don't need.
And so I'm saying it, and Dumbo, congresswoman,
is too fucking dumb and too big a race hustler.
So she purposely misunderstands him, right?
And then comes back with some sort of lecture on race.
And so what I'm saying is, he speaks freely. That's what I'm saying.
He also, but there's two, it's not just the purity of heart,
it's also a thorough understanding of the fact.
Oh no, no, I'm saying that too.
I don't mean purity, I factor that into the purity
of his heart, he understands what he's saying
and he talks about it like an engineer would talk about a building collapse and not know it's it can choose their words
carefully and I'll tell you where it got interesting for me when he was just
pointing out that all the con the congressional representatives that were
interviewing him all took money from pharma he just said you all do it right
because it's true right it's just factually true he just right he didn't
go you assholes he just said you do it This is what we're doing. And let's get honest about it.
Yes, he's exceedingly honest.
Speaking of honest though, I'm going to go back to speaking freely to attorneys. Attorneys,
fuck everything. I was just thinking about a deposition I was in once where I thought
the exact same thing. I was like, I've got Jesus, I didn't even know this case. Let me get in this deposition and explain. I just wasn't on a case. So I don't know. I passed this
patient in the hall. I don't know who this is. And no, they'll find ways to screw it all up.
Here's so-and-so running across the parking lot with an order for this patient. Is that your policy?
That this nurse should do this? Like what? Atty, there's no doubt attorneys are ruined, are part of the ruination of California
for sure. Oh boy. Big time. Yeah. People don't really, people don't really know about that.
No, I lived it. I have lived it too. Listen, and you know, it was Jerry, I remember Jerry Brown
bringing in Rose Byrd, do you remember her?
And their thing was, we're gonna get,
literally they would both say out loud,
we're gonna get those doctors.
They think they're so, we're gonna get them.
And now they've destroyed medicine, well done.
You know, it was funny.
I was thinking of what the other thing was.
But it's funny what, oh yeah, I got it.
They have this thing, it's funny what oh yeah I got it they have this thing it's it's great there's a clip somewhere Byron maybe you can find it but I think I
liked it it's a like tweet it's it's Gavin Newsom so here's what I'm saying by
the way they're gonna get rid of palm trees oh I saw that yeah well someone's
cutting down the trees anyway.
I don't know if you saw that.
I did, but those weren't palm trees.
I know, but they're getting rid of them.
No, here's what I'm saying, not the tree story.
It's the gas price thing.
So, but here's, I don't think what people,
here's what people don't understand.
Gavin Newsom is, gas is 550 gallons so he's going to go after big oil
companies even though big oil companies are only and exclusively gouging
California and no other territory. Right. So then they do a big study and it turns
out it's not the big oil company that's charging these prices it's a regulatory
system and the taxes and everything else that have run up the prices.
Lo and behold, it's Gavin Newsom.
What they do is they create a system
such as insuring homes in Southern California
that's non-tenable for the insurance company.
And then when the insurance companies won't do it,
they go, I'm going after the insurance company.
So you're going after State Farm and all the insurance companies won't do it, they go, I'm going after the insurance company. So you're going after State Farm
and all the insurance companies,
and you're going after Chevron and BP,
and you're going after,
except for you know what you're gonna find,
you're gonna find the same thing.
They don't wanna do business in your state
because it's not hospitable.
So you drove them off.
You can't do business.
Right, but you're gonna have- Not for your hospitable, you can't do it. You can't do it.
You can't make it work.
You're going to have a press conference explaining that you're going after these big oil companies
and everyone, like my mom, would cheer that on.
And then you're going to go after these big insurance companies.
Insurance companies and oil companies and all these companies, they all want to do business But they don't want to do business in Mogadishu or some place where there's pirates or something
Yeah, they won't go to foreign land with corrupt governments and try to do business. It's not gonna work there
So they'll do business where they can do business as much as they can do business
And if California is not a place they can do business Just like it's not a place Toyota can do business as much as they can do business. And if California is not a place they can do business,
just like it's not a place Toyota can do business anymore,
they move.
So that's you guys, that's not them.
Because they, God forbid, Toyota is the problem in the-
Oh, yeah, we have Gavin talking to Hannity about it,
which is funny, but then later, sorry, there's a report that says you don't have to.
But later, there's a report where it turns out it's not big oil, but this is fine.
I don't know what the date of this was, maybe six months ago or something.
Go ahead. Then I'm passing gas station after gas station and gas station.
Oh, yeah. Oh, you're right.
Excuse me. Gouging us. Oil companies are screwing us. Four dollars a gallon in every other state.
Yeah. Seven dollars I saw here. Seven. Why is your state nearly the price of money? As
of today, I monitor this very closely. I just did a special session. Gouging. I'm the first
state in the country to do price gouging legislation with a new monitor just
went into effect.
God, he's such an asshole.
These oil companies are ripping us off.
Two dollars.
They're only ripping off California though?
Two dollars and six cents.
Exactly.
This mystery surcharge that they've been advancing for years and years.
But the average around the country's four.
And I saw anywhere between six, six fifty and seven dollars.
Two dollars and six cents higher.
You're absolutely right.
Your state is much more than every other state exactly two dollars higher because they're screwing us
There's no justification not regulation taxation. Yes, 85 cents
Now you can find the clip where a report came out and I liked it it's out there somewhere
Where it's just a report came out and just said,
they had a report, I don't know,
Stanford did like a two year report and it's not.
It's regulation.
It's regulation.
The biggest problem is they have no refineries
and they pushed all the refineries out of California.
And that's it.
That's the end of it.
Yeah, I don't know.
Just look the internet for it if you can't find my likes.
But you see, you know what's funny?
You know what's funny about Gavin News?
It's great when someone goes,
you know, it's like someone can go,
hey, your wife's a whore, exactly, exactly.
That's what I'm talking about.
And Hannity's like, and your gas is way more,
you have two dollars, that's it's two dollars.
It's like, I just got into this.
Like, you just got into this?
It's like this, everything's your biggest topic
and you just got into it
and you're working on it all the time.
Committees, looking at it.
And gases.
But it never changes anything, then maybe.
And by the way, why don't we approach his committee
from the perspective of why is California
getting single now?
What could it be about California?
Why don't we answer that question?
And that's what this clip showed.
Here's the clip.
This is funny.
Back to back.
California's high gas prices are the result of state policies and lower production and
not price gouging.
Marshall Business School Professor Michael Miesch released a report this
month detailing why Californians pay so much for gasoline. He identified seven factors that have
pushed prices higher for decades, most of which have to do with state taxes and environmental
regulations. The professor also says that higher labor costs and lower production rates are pushing prices higher at the time.
Anyway, not gouging of the Newsom.
Newsom knows why the gas prices are high, just like he knows who the true face of homelessness
is.
Right.
Moms.
Moms and children.
All over the streets.
See that new guy that wants to give everybody fentanyl until they die?
Oh Jesus, we're there now.
That's what we're doing.
So we're doing it anyway.
It's actually what we do with Homeless.
I'm gonna be at Fasani's Italian steakhouse and theater
doing stand-up May 2nd, 3rd in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Sounds enticing.
Yeah, I like it.
And then Melbourne, at the Melbourne Auditorium, doing stand up there May 4th.
