The Adam and Dr. Drew Show - #2093 - How Blue Cities Became HELL ON EARTH! | Part 1

Episode Date: July 1, 2026

Adam and Dr. Drew discuss the movement of people and businesses out of high-tax cities like New York and into lower-tax, more business-friendly states like Florida. They break down how taxes,... property ownership, sanctuary city policies, and local incentives shape where people choose to live and work, while also looking at how Hollywood and the entertainment industry are leaving less production-friendly areas for better opportunities elsewhere. The conversation expands into a broader discussion about politics, work ethic, entitlement, productivity, and why people respond to incentives the way they do.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Starting point is 00:00:00 recorded live at Corolla 1 Studios with Adam Carolla and board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky. You're listening to The Adam and Dr. Drew Show. Yeah, get it on, got to get on. Dr. Drew's board. So, boom, still in New York City. Still, my friend. Yes, still.
Starting point is 00:00:26 But here to report to you from the land of the great socialist, uprising. Here it is. It's happening right here at my doorstep. And we got our city tax sent to us. Yeah. Which was a pretty shocking delivery. But they're moving ahead. They're going to take things down.
Starting point is 00:00:48 It made us think, oh, we just got to unload this thing or we got to rent it. Both of those things are going to not do great for business and or, you know, real estate prices in this city. Well, they just did a rent free. So you got that going for you. So you can't rent to cover their city tax. You just got to get out.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Yeah. It's pretty crazy. Well, safe spaces and octagons. Yeah, I know. Well, literally my wife said, maybe we ought to think about something in Florida. Florida, yeah. Well, I mean, look, you are only doing a version of what they're doing. What? Yeah. Explain that. Well, if you are going to attract people from giving out free stuff, you know, if you're going to go, look, you can come to one of these sanctuary cities and you can get health care and you can get child care and you can get food stamps and you don't have to be a citizen, well, then you will attract people to come to that place where they will get that stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:56 And but conversely, if you are an earner and a taxpayer and you have assets and you have property and somebody in Florida is saying, well, you could come here and not pay taxes, you know, could not pay state tax and we'll make it more hospitable for you to own a condo here because we don't have the wealth tax or the whatever Pierre de Jou tax or whatever that is. Yeah, that's right. Well, so then... I don't know who... I didn't even know who that is. But the point is, then it would attract those people to go there. So you really only have people doing what they're going to do. You have poor people and dumb people and lazy people and fat people voting in people who will get them free shit.
Starting point is 00:02:52 And so that's what they would do. do. That makes sense. And then you have the people that are paying for those people saying, well, I'm going to go where Rhonda Santis is saying, come on down. And we'll make it hustle. We'll appreciate those who pay for things and we'll treat them accordingly. And we're literally trying to figure out how to do it. We were literally sort of putting pen to paper like, hey, but I could fly. If I flew back every six weeks, did three days of office visits and stayed, you know, with our kids. I literally, they're doing the math. Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, I don't know why anyone would expect anyone to do anything else.
Starting point is 00:03:31 There is little to no production in Hollywood anymore because they made it sort of inhospitable for them. And then other places made it more attractive. And so everyone got up and left. I don't know why you think anything is any different than that. and any facet of life. You know, the bottom, the bottom of it is Somali daycare centers in Minneapolis. That's the bottom rung of motivation and people and doing and money and free and whatever. The top is Hollywood. It's rich, elite, educated, white, progressive, Democrat, progressive people who will hop on the first
Starting point is 00:04:22 motherfucking airplane out of town. I went to Winnipeg 15, 13, 15 years ago. And when I was in Winnipeg in the dead of winter, walking down the hall, the guy who worked at the hotel sort of, you didn't hear it from me, but the guy at the end at the suite, that's Sam Jackson. He's going to be here for three months. They're shooting a movie that's supposed to take place in Chicago. Yeah, there go.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Sam Jackson is the most progressive douche in the world, and he's immediately hopping on a plane and going to Winnipeg, and they're leaving all the money in Canada. And I hope he enjoyed the shakedown at the border. I'm sure he did. Trust me, he went through it. So you come with a work permit, it's odd. That's what people do, and people are only doing what they are,
Starting point is 00:05:19 it's sort of coerced, but it's not really coerced. It's just sort of prodded to do. Now, okay, well, we don't want people to do that. All right, well, whether it's free shit in Somalian daycare situations or it's Rich Whitey moving out of Manhattan, you're going to have to set up something that entices them not to do this thing that they're doing. Yeah. Yeah, it's human nature, which is completely left out of everybody's equation these days, particularly on the left. But speaking of the socialist, so people are describing it as this
Starting point is 00:05:57 parasite that's eating the Democratic Party. What does your crystal brain tell you about what's going to happen here? You have James Carville freaking out going, oh, my God, these people aren't Democrats. We'll have nothing to do with them. Oh, yes, you will. Number one. Then we have Joy Behar in the view going, well, these, those three will never, never get anywhere in New York. They're avowed anti-Semites. No way is New York going to put up with that. Well, here we are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Well, okay. So we now have a saturation point of people who went through colleges and got indoctrinated. And now they're- Can I stop you real quick before you go on to tell? I don't forget this. Have you heard of the TV show Love Island? Yes. Have you seen it?
Starting point is 00:06:46 No. Only you watch those kinds of shows. No, it's because my friend Kat Timp watches it. When we come to New York, she insists we watch it with her. And so I watched it last night. And her husband, who is a West Point graduate, Army Ranger, investment banker, great, bright guy, we were watching this thing.
Starting point is 00:07:10 And I'm like, oh, my God, these people can't speak English. This one one kid pronounced the word epitome. I'm sorry, these are English speakers who can't speak English. Correct. You can't say can't speak English and speak of people from this country anymore because so many people can't speak. That's a good point. Yeah, no, I'm with you on that. But it's sort of like, we're like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:07:36 We had to put the subtitles up, you know, to be able to like follow what people. I swear to God. Yeah. And he all of a sudden point out, he goes, these are all college graduates, every one of them. Right. And he was right. You look at it. They're all been through college.
Starting point is 00:07:51 They're all 23-year-old college grads. And he said these schools should be embarrassed that this is what they're putting out. And by the way, with us, you know, $180,000 in debt. Right. This is what you get. Yeah. So there's something very wrong with their education system. Well, they're not embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:08:09 They're not embarrassed because they're not there. for this. They're there to indoctrine. Now, I know people think, oh, come on, old man, Adam. Come on now. You've been listening to too much Fox News. I just liked a tweet, I think, maybe this morning, Andrew. You've been on fire on X, by the way. I was going to bring up some of those posts. But go ahead. You did one about academia and hating the country, right? No, it was just, look, they are basically almost 100% Democrat and leftists and a lot of socialists. I have said, God damn it, Dr. Drew. I have said for years. God damn.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Well, I'm angry because I've said all this stuff for years. The college campus is socialism. Yeah, you're gravity. Well, okay, here's the deal. Think about who the professors are. First off, what the fuck is tenure? Right. Ten year is like, you have a job, comrade, and you can never be fired.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Right. You're part of the party member and that's it. Yes, yes. You never get fired. You're spending other people's money. everyone there is spending other everyone else's money uh there's no bottom line there's nothing you have to adhere to you know there's no quarterly reports no no no there's no viability or sustainability no consequence no no gravity right it is a a little market right in our world of
Starting point is 00:10:01 of you know checks and balances and competition whatever the college campus and the campus in general is just a little bastion of communism, socialism. There's no, I mean, look at, look at L.A. County. What do we have? We have teachers unions. What don't we have? We don't have school choice. Okay. No competition. No. And what's the unions do? They run the Democrats. They run the, they run Gavin Newsom, they run the mayor. Okay. So what happens? COVID comes around. So what aren't we going to do? We're not going back to work. Fuck off.
Starting point is 00:10:40 We're going to stay home. Oh, so you don't want to get paid? No, no. We're going to go home and get paid. And we'll do whatever the fuck we want because there is no competition. Starbucks doesn't get to do that because there's a place called coffee, bean, and tea leaf that will stay open when you guys choose to shut down. And there's something called human behavior. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Human instincts, human motivation. that come to bear here. Right. All right. So the professors are all Democrats. And if you, you got to blow it up now. Read that, read that, though, because the Thomas Swole quote is fantastic. In the academic world, diversity means black leftist, white leftist, female leftist,
Starting point is 00:11:23 and Hispanic leftist. Demographic diversity conceals ideological conformity. That's right. So it's too small for me to read. But basically, when you're into the arts and the humanities, it's 100%. percent Democrat. At the very bottom, you start getting into engineering and then it becomes about 30 percent Republican professors. People need actually to do things. When you actually have to do stuff, like build bridges and shit like that, then you have to get your, you can't be
Starting point is 00:11:58 pie in the sky. But, all right, these people have been indoctrinated. And I mean it because that's kind of the plan. The plan is not how to pronounce epidemiology. The plan is to indoctrinate. So you got a bunch of fucking foot soldiers. And those people have all now, it's been long enough, and they're upon us, and they are running, they're in government. Now, we thought it was kind of funny. It's kind of interesting. We're like people on our side of that, I've been saying for the last decades, these people are going to be running companies. They're going to be running government. They're going to be making policy.
Starting point is 00:12:42 They're going to be the head of Fortune 500 companies. Now, they can't run companies because they're fucking socialists and they'll run them into the fucking ground. You need Elon to run a company. So you dopes all just went back into academia and now government where you don't have to produce anything. You assholes can't take over companies because you can't run companies because your ideology would destroy the company.
Starting point is 00:13:08 And when the profits fell, eventually the board would toss you out or off the fucking company. So it was kind of interesting where like these guys are going to run all these companies and then they're going to run all academia and they're going to run all of government. Yeah, they run academia. They run government where there's no performance necessary. But you can't run the companies because we need shit. Fantastic. Well, am I exaggerating?
Starting point is 00:13:36 No. I mean, occasionally you go to the New York Post and you run the New York Post and that just gets run into the fucking ground and then that's done. But the way this is supposed to run companies. The way this is supposed to work is when they run the cities into the ground, then the voters go, hey, enough of that. Let's do something else. But there's something seemingly wrong with our system where there's no correction going on. Well, it's dumb chick think, and the dumb chick think are all word-oriented, and they don't really know performance. They just know words.
Starting point is 00:14:12 You don't have to look very far to see the performance, though, Jesus Christ. They women, and it's scientifically proven, are satiated by words and talk. And look, let's just put it to you this way. everybody wants a clean street and homelessness taking care of and the lights to work on the bridge and safety and everything else copper to light those lights copper wire say the word wire yes yes all right sorry so um now everyone wants that women if you talk about that those subjects enough can be satiated a percentage, maybe up to 40, 50%. You know, you talk about something long enough.
Starting point is 00:15:09 It feels as if something's getting done. And then you can keep voting for Karen Bass because she talks about stuff that she wants to do that she's not going to do, but that's enough. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. It's a lot of women, a lot of college-educated women, a lot of white college-educated women, and that's where it goes. And a lot of immigrants who don't really know any better.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I mean, honestly, like, I don't even know what they're comparing this to. You know, you and I, look, if you look at the immigrant situation, you know, you and I have been in L.A. our whole life. So we have a contrast. We have a before and after and an A and a B. People that have come here in the last three years, this is all they know. You know what I mean? So there, people like you would tend to be more outrage because you're like, I remember when you used to be able to just walk at night anywhere in downtown and it was safe. You know, but yeah, yeah, that's what you remember. Not then. They only remember graffiti and homeless and shit everywhere, which is where it is. is now, too. You know what I mean? So you don't really
Starting point is 00:16:29 have a thing to compare it to. Yeah. All right, take a quick break. We'll be right back after this. Hello, and welcome to Plutofo. I still want to dig into the Democratic Party thing.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Go ahead. Finish your thing. Well, is that, you know, I want to use your crystal brain to predict what's going to happen to that party, which is, is it going to get cannibalized or parasitized by this group. Are they going to split into two? Is the money class that normally supports the Democrats
Starting point is 00:18:30 going to step in and push back? And of course, we don't know really who is supporting the socialist group. So my first question is, what do you imagine is going to have a Democratic Party? The young female brownish people with all the energy and all the talking points are going to just take over.
Starting point is 00:18:56 That's it. All right. So is that going to create a reaction, a groundswell of support against that group? That's what Bill Maher said. Gilmar thinks it's going to really create a big reaction against it. I don't know. As far as I can tell,
Starting point is 00:19:14 there's enough young, dumb, mostly female and brownish people in this country that'll just go along with it. That's as far as I can tell. I don't know. Or at least it'll segregate into different states. Well, I mean, the Republicans are just going to go more into the octagon. You know, you're going to get more people moving to Florida and leaving New York and leaving Los Angeles.
Starting point is 00:19:41 And then those cities will collapse under their own weight. because they won't be able to take care of themselves. I said it's safe spaces and octagons, and then eventually the safe spaces are going to have to go to the octagons to try to get protection or help or financing or whatever that is. And then what happens? I don't know. I don't think the octagons are going to willingly offer up help.
Starting point is 00:20:12 You have to also understand all the people who build everything are going to leave. People in the safe spaces don't know how to build anything. They're community activists. They're organizers. You know what I mean? No, they're not governors. They don't like to govern. They physically can't build.
Starting point is 00:20:30 You know what I mean? Like they physically give a hard time getting a bridge built because contractors, engineers and all those types are going to have moved out. Yep. So good luck. Oh, boy. Yeah. I mean, I just, I don't, I think I resist.
Starting point is 00:20:49 When you describe that future, I think I resist it. Well, nobody wants to live in that future, you know what I mean? Right. But they are creating that future. And there's enough dumb, female, young, brownish and, uh, and dumb white chick, college educated white chicks who are going to facilitate it. So within that group, know, the ones here in New York are advocating for destroying Western society.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Like, that's their open plan. Not just hatred of the country, but we've got to undo Western society entirely. Well, Drew, since you've known me, I have explained all the time that their plan is not some new world utopia. It's they hate their country. They hate this shit. And I've told you the whole time they couldn't say it out loud. Yeah. They, by the way, they give speeches.
Starting point is 00:21:45 They go, I love this country, and that's why I stand up against slavery and the trail of tears and the dropping of the atomic bomb and the oppression of the indigenous people and the oppression of brown people and systemic. And they just, I've heard that shit my whole life. You love this country? No, you don't. Yeah. Now, you have to start. You love this country is basically my, I have black friends. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Oh, my God. Well, I mean, cut the bullshit. You know what I mean? Just say what you have to say. Yeah. So, but as it pertains to that, I'm trying to sort through what it is they're saying, even, which is, oh, we love this country. They don't know. We love the American people.
Starting point is 00:22:35 They don't know what they're saying. They don't know what they're saying other than they want it torn down. They've wanted it. They've always wanted it torn down. So what is it? Is it the Constitution? Is it the states? What are they even talking about?
Starting point is 00:22:49 You know what I mean? What do they hate? Okay, okay. Okay. Okay. The first thing they hate is whatever this is. And okay, you have to picture what is, what is this country? Like, let's say, let's just go to the most, I don't want to you to use.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I don't want to use the word patriotic, but an almost Norman Rockwellian kind of year in this society. You know what I mean? I'm going to say, Drew, you picked a year. I'm going to write down a number here. Okay. I'm going to write down a date
Starting point is 00:23:35 a year when we were the most just sort of USA. as as we as we can say it you know what I mean in the modern era yeah sure sure yeah 195 all right the camera might note that I wrote down 1955 yes look at us I just wrote uh-huh 1955 down on a piece of paper okay it's a rare instance where we're simpatico usually you're like 1422 Girl, you said the modern era. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:15 1955. All right. So what was going on in 195? Well, Pat Boone was on the radio. And people saw the USA in a Chevrolet. And there was a white picket fence. And the mom stayed home and the dads went to work. And the fathers were respected.
Starting point is 00:24:35 And the nuclear family was intact. And the guy came home after a long day. and the wife handed him a martini in his pipe, and she had a casserole in the oven, and people were civil, and they went to school, and they pledged allegiance, and they put their right hand over their heart,
Starting point is 00:24:56 and everyone was patriotic, and people dressed up for commercial airline flights, and all of the stuff, they hate all of it. They hate all of it. They don't pick and choose. They, whatever we were, whatever we did, however it was, they hate all of it. But we're not even close to that now, right?
Starting point is 00:25:18 No, we are spiraling away from that quickly, but also they are disgruntled. They're not, see, what they act like is they're disgruntled employees. You know what I mean? Andrew, you're pre-gruntled. You're not gruntled yet. Chuck, you are disgruntled. Andrew is pre-gruntled. Okay?
Starting point is 00:25:52 We have many people who worked here who are post-gruntled. Okay? They're at home being gruntled. But you are pre-gruntled. You will be disgruntled one day, but for now you're... You're pre-gruntled. Okay. Chuck, you're disgruntled.
Starting point is 00:26:14 And then there's post-gruntled. I walk them right through. Yeah, yeah. People progress naturally through that progress. Different phases of working. So they are disgruntled employees. Disgruntled employees say, hey man, there's never any coffee in the coffee-made.
Starting point is 00:26:38 or anymore. Someone, and then you go, oh, okay, I'll get you that coffee. And then you think to yourself from the disgruntled employee, well, I'll just get them some coffee, and then they'll be happy here at work. But soon as you get the coffee, what do they got? You know, the bathroom, the bathroom, the seat liners, always out of the seat liners for the toilet seat. There's always, you go, oh, okay, let me go get those for you.
Starting point is 00:27:05 And then you think to yourself, well, this guy, had himself some seat liners and some coffee, then he's going to be a happy employee. Oh, no, he's not. He's going right to the next fucking thing, right next to the thing, because he's disgruntled, just like the LGBT community or the black caucus
Starting point is 00:27:25 or whatever the fuck. They're all disgruntled all the fucking time and they just move to their next phase. We're going to have a million woman March. What do you bitches want? We don't know. We're disgruntled. That's it
Starting point is 00:27:40 Can we move people back To the pre-gruntled stage? No, but you have to tell them You have to go, hey, you don't know what fucking work here Then you're fired. Get the fuck out of here And make room for the pre-gruntled Like Andrew
Starting point is 00:27:54 More coffee and toilet seat liners for the pre-grantled For the pre-grantled There you go. That'll keep you. me in that stage from that. They don't, they're, fuck it, they'll move on right. What, what have they, was there any sign that would say to you that these groups have ever been satiated by any accommodations made for them? The LGPT plus community, the black leaders, the feminist leaders, anything, anything's ever indicated that they'll ever be satisfied? I would live in the misguided faith
Starting point is 00:28:40 that there would be something, did I not know the corollas? Well, you started. Your mom taught me a lesson. Well, you started that way because you think as a normal person. Yeah. You go, oh, well, disgruntled Chuck just wants some coffee. Okay. I like coffee too.
Starting point is 00:29:01 So I'll just get him some coffee. No, I, yeah. But once you get to the 133 thing that the disgruntled wanted, because they move right to the next fucking thing. At some point it's got a dawn on you. Maybe they're just disgruntled. Wouldn't it, wouldn't it be accurate to say that not the Chuck disgruntled, but the disgruntled groups are just looking for,
Starting point is 00:29:28 at a certain point, looking for power and control and that kind of thing? Yes, yes. They're busy running you around. Yeah. Basically, now the boss, instead of being the boss, is curtailing their activities and work and schedule to the disgruntled. It's the same.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Look, it's the same way. I had, my daughter was a massive pain in the ass when she was young. My son was laid back. And my wife facilitated her because she was disgruntled. And then my daughter was disgruntled. And basically my wife, my kid, my son, and me had to work around the two disgruntled to try to keep them from not having a tantrum or to, you know, being upsetting things at the house or whatever. We had to work around them.
Starting point is 00:30:22 The person that had to work, earn all the money and pay for everything also had to deal with the two disgruntled. Right. And one became postgruntled. But the other moved back into pregruntled. Maybe we can learn from her much so we have learned from your mom. Natalia's in pregruntled now. The ex-wife's in post-gruntled. She's going off into the sunset being gruntled. But, yes, my daughter has come quite around. So much the way I've learned from your mom that these things are taken to the grave, which is shocking to me, your daughter is an example of moving back to pre-gruntled,
Starting point is 00:31:00 and she's a young person, which is really where all their shit's going down. So how do we do that? We should interview shocking. We should interview Natalia. Chuck is taking great offense To being lumped into the disgruntled Parall We can make him pre-gruntled
Starting point is 00:31:20 That we can learn from Natalia Chuck is pre-grantled Come on He knows he's pre-gruntled I say to him every day When I walk in I grab his cheek I go look at you a little pre-gruntle He knows it
Starting point is 00:31:37 He's daddy's a little pre-gruntled baby I think Andrew might be pre-pre-gruntled or in denial. He's in denial of his gruntled denial. He's in gruntled denial. Oh, my God. He's going to have to deal with his gruntled down the road. He's going to catch you up. His gruntledness, gruntledness, we call that.
Starting point is 00:32:05 All right. Now, my daughter, here's an interesting thing. She has a motor. Yeah, yeah. My mom, no motor. Oh. My ex-wife, no motor. Mm.
Starting point is 00:32:21 And what the motor does is eventually the motor goes, uh, I want to get my scuba license. I want to do shit. I want to get moving. You know what I mean? So, so disgruntled also means no motor. Because if you have a disgruntled employee, with a motor, that person goes, I got to fucking build my own business. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Right. And so we got a lot of these people are dogs that don't hunt. You know what I mean? They're just kind of useless. Like all the people that got to vote that got voted in in your city, your fair city, were just a bunch of fucking motorless chicks, just a bunch of chicks that were like professional students, you know, been in grad school for seven years, lived at home. you know, all of these fucking commies that are running everything, no motor.
Starting point is 00:33:18 They're like, they're all kind of flatliners. And the no motor necessarily leads to the next issue, which is no competition. Competition is no bueno. Yes, no, not good for them. And you're disgruntled. That's right. So it means it means a kind of, you have to have to have a lot of downtime to be disgruntled. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:33:42 You cannot be hustling and disgruntled. People of hustle are never disgruntled. They're always moving. Yes. The no competition, no motor can move across the gruntled spectrum, pre, dis, and post. If they have no motor, none of those like competition. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:02 But they have an army of low energy people who will vote for them who are around them, who also have, who are disgruntled with no motor as well. Plus, there's a whole dynamic, which is who the fuck knows how much, how many plastics are floating around in their brains and how shitty their diet is and how fat and lazy they are. And now you got a whole voting block of disgruntled, low motor, fat people who are on, God knows what, pharmaceuticals who are just and they'll vote for you because you're running on a platform
Starting point is 00:34:45 and it's not pull... Yeah, it's not pull yourself up by your own bootstraps. That ain't your platform. Nobody says that. All right, we'll take a quick break. Be right back after this. For over 25 years, Bet Online has been one of the most trusted names
Starting point is 00:35:00 in online sports and casino gaming. And this year, it's all about soccer moments. As the world stops here, 48 nations and 104 matches. Every one of them is a decision that is yours to make. Bet Online has all the live lines and player props on everything sportsbook and casino through the whole tournament. No limits.
Starting point is 00:35:18 And when you are right, you get paid. No ceilings, no excuses. 26 is your year for the soccer championship. Bet on at Bet Online. Okay. So there are people who will tell these low-end, It's low energy. You know, and by the way, the most annoying thing to low energy people are higher energy people.
Starting point is 00:35:45 It makes them anxious. Yes. Trump and Elon Musk and the folks with the motor, it drives them nuts. It bothers them. They don't like, they don't like things. And it's funny, they don't like things like the UFC and race car driving and shit like that because it's high energy stuff. They're not attracted to anything that's got high energy. Where is the car fit into that? Is that high energy instrument? Liking cars? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Well, there's a thing. It's a chick thing. It's a dude versus dude thing. But there's also a thing, too, where their low energy and their lack of success has made it, it made it made, it made them unable to do things, right? So here's what it is. So you got, you got three categories. All right, you ready, Drew? Ready. Everybody would like to drive a luxury car. They just would. It's just safer. It's nicer. They just would. I don't know anybody. Now, some may go, I don't care about, you know, I don't need the bullshit. Right. They don't, they don't, they want, they want it.
Starting point is 00:37:10 They're full of shit. My ex-wife said, I, you know, I don't need any of this stuff. I said, good, let's get you a Hyundai Genesis. She said, no, I want the Audi. It's 25 grand more. They say they don't need it, but they want it. Everyone wants it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:25 So everyone wants to drive a luxury car, Drew. We'll just stop there. Now, one group of people owns a luxury car. They just, they figure it out and they go get a luxury car and they drive a luxury car. The other group says, I don't own a luxury car yet, but I'm going to work hard so I can get a luxury car. And then there's a third group who is disgruntled with no motor, who's never going to get a fucking luxury car. They can't get one. And they know they can't get one because they don't work and they're not successful and they have no motor. Now, they don't say I want a luxury car,
Starting point is 00:38:09 but I'm too fucking lazy to do it. So I'm not going to have one. No, they don't do that. They go, fuck you in your luxury car. I don't want a luxury car and Daddy bought you the luxury car. And then there's a bunch of people who say, vote for me. I'll get you a luxury car. And that's what we're at. I think they go, they do that. I agree. And they go, there's another group that goes, fuck luxury cars. They suck. No one should have one.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Well, yeah, I'm going to throw a rock at you in your luxury car. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's, that's more the group my mom was in. The envy group. Right. It's always great.
Starting point is 00:38:49 You want that, you know, as a child. You want one of them for a parent because that means it's awesome. Because that means you get no luxury car and all the anger. Oh, and then if you have an. engine, watch out. Oh, they don't like it. No. It bothers. Press that. It bothers them. Freak out. No, it's literally, it's almost embodied in, it's literally embodied in like they are sitting on a barca lounger and then you run in the room and go, can we build a tree house? Can we paint something? You know, can we go, can I get a go cart? And they're like, oh, please, I'm trying.
Starting point is 00:39:30 to relax here. You know what I mean? That's, but that's their whole life. Yeah. What are you talking about? You want this, you want to build that,
Starting point is 00:39:38 you want to get that. You want to have that. No, no, no. Relax. We're not doing anything. They want all the no motors want you to join them
Starting point is 00:39:48 in their lethargy. The problem is you wouldn't have anything. We'd have no airplanes or bridges. We would have anything if we fucking joined you guys. And very soon, and you would have no chillaxon either because you'd have to go out and hunt for your food. Well, remember, they don't go that deep.
Starting point is 00:40:09 They don't get to that stage. They just want to be left alone. They want to relax. And they don't want to work that hard. And by the way, all of them, Mendonni and, you know, all the acolytes and all the everyone around them, none of them ever fucking had a job. They don't ran a business or anything.
Starting point is 00:40:33 You know what I mean? Never. They don't have real jobs. They either do nothing and they have rich parents or they work for the government. Or they're activists. That's my job. Yeah, they're community organizers. I don't know where Obama worked, what businesses he ran.
Starting point is 00:40:49 He's a community organizer. He organizes the community. They have these bullshit jobs. So that's where they get their. pie in the sky bullshit. And that's where they have some sort of retarded version of what Elon Musk does because they've never done anything. So they don't know what he does is what I'm saying. Right. Well, they have no idea. They have no idea. How could they? Yeah, he remains very inspiring for me. He has said something that I don't know if it's going to come true. He kind of has a crystal brain, too.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And he also makes reality comply with his will in a weird way. He said this. going to be his robot thing is going to create a 10x increase in the economy. And if that happens, we'll be in pretty good shape almost no matter what's going on politically, you know? He, by the way, is non-gruntled. He has, yeah, cannot be gruntled. Zero gravity, zero gruntled. Zero gruntled, Elon Musk, everybody. That's right. Do you have any gruntle? I have gruntle in that. I understand. understand how everything works. I try to explain it to everybody and nobody gives a fuck.
Starting point is 00:42:06 And then I just watch all the mistakes that get made. Yeah. So your gruntledness is no one listens to you. No one gives you the proper. That's just respect. They don't hear you. They don't hear you. It's not even respect or listen.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I understand how life works. And, you know, I'll give you a super stupid one. But it's true. So pre-gruntled Andrew said to me, you know, so-and-so next Wednesday, right? Now, I have tried to get everyone around me to say this Wednesday instead of next Wednesday. Yes. It's been a decade. It's not doable.
Starting point is 00:42:49 It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. I had a big argument with my assistant about it last week. She's not going to do it. I've had arguments with everyone around me about it. Mike August, it's not going to happen. But for a decade, I try to get people to rinse their coffee mugs here. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Not going to happen. Really? I thought that was better. No, it was a 10-year process of me saying, you set the mug in the sink. There's a quarter inch of coffee in the bottom of it, just rinse, just run the spigot. That was 10 years. By the way, that's why people here have mugs with their pictures on it. because eventually people got tired of me complaining into a microphone about it because it couldn't
Starting point is 00:43:35 stop it. But it was only because the stuff baked on and made a black circle and ruined the mug. And by the way, there's a rack another seven inches to the right that once they rinse, they could just put the cup on. Well, I wasn't asking for that. I was just saying if you're going to leave a quarter inch of coffee or an inch of coffee at the bottom of the mug and you're going to put it in the sink,
Starting point is 00:44:00 just rinse it out. But it was a 10-year ordeal. None of the people here were around for that. That was the first iteration of the show. Yes. I tried to get my ex-wife to leave her extra set of keys somewhere in the same place by the front door, somewhere where I could find them and move it
Starting point is 00:44:19 when she was watching Bruce Springsteen in some city. There's a lot of stuff that I try, but it doesn't really happen. Coffee gruntle. Coffee gruntle. Key gruntle. Car parking gruntle. Next.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Next versus this gruntled. It's a hot debate. The next versus this crowd. Yes. I'm not a big next versus this guy. That's not my issue. My issue is the answering yes to things. Next versus this.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Yes. That's what you're correct. You are correct. I do try to get Andrew to answer just yes. But I'll tell you what would work. If you did what the Asians do, which are smart, the Japanese, just go height.
Starting point is 00:45:03 We just go height. It'll be good because what Andrew does, well, part of it's my fault for being too sort of wired a certain way. So basically, Drew. Mike August and I are going to
Starting point is 00:45:23 stay in your condominium when we're in New York, which you have signed off on. If I said to you, let's just say a couple days before that, if I said, so Drew, we're still good for me and Mike in the condo, and you said, yes, I'd move right the fuck on. But, hi. But if you said,
Starting point is 00:45:53 you and Mike are wanting to come to the condo. My brain would start scattering. I'd start going, oh, shit, there's a problem with the condo. And then at the end, you'd go, yeah, we're good. And my thing is, it's like when you lead it up, you know, when I go, is the guest here yet? And you go, the guest is supposed to, my brain starts going. Okay, the guest isn't coming. or they've been at a car accident or something like that.
Starting point is 00:46:25 But you just go, yes, we can just go, we can cut it. Just so I understand the full spectrum here, if I don't know whether the guest is here or not, can I say, hang on, I'm going to check. Hang on, I'm going to check. No, you only have to agree with every single thing I say all the time. Hight, height. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I'm just saying. So, Andrew, be more affirmative. Like, I know he's thinking out loud. No, you're not thinking. I asked you if we can state your fucking condo. You said yes. So then I go, is it okay? You know, we're coming on this week.
Starting point is 00:47:00 We're still good, right? You just go, yes, because you're not thinking on it. Right. You're not debating. You're not deciding. Right. If you're debating or deciding that that's it. See, here's the whole point.
Starting point is 00:47:13 If something came up, let's just say something did come up. Yeah. Let's just say your daughter, you talk to your wife and your wife said, Oh, I think Paulina actually might be coming in next week. I got to check. Then you would talk that way. You would go, yeah, about the condo. Listen, but you wouldn't say yes at the end.
Starting point is 00:47:39 No. So if you talked about it that way and you went, so you guys want to use the kind of minimum, that my brain would go to Paulina's coming in town. I get it. This is fucked up. I get it. That's what happens.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Hight. Hight. Just say height. That's all. Hight. There you go. It works. It works.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Hife prevents gruntledness. High gruntled. Yeah. Oh, my. All right. So I got a lot of other stuff to talk to you about, but it's interesting. But yes, there's safe spaces and octagon's. And now it's been weaponized and it's been activated.
Starting point is 00:48:26 You know, we were talking about blowing up the spaceship we're all on for a number of years, but somebody just hit the countdown. You know, in the movie, now we're at the countdown phase. And we're counting down. And that means it's time to go to the octagon and live with the high energy people. who like outdoor sports and they like swimming in the ocean and they like they like inner tubing and wakeboarding and driving four-wheel drive trucks hunting. What's hunting, Drew? It's a fucking high-energy endeavor.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Vitality. High energy. You got to fucking. Hunting is a high energy. What is bow hunting? Bo hunting. is a super high energy. What percentage of bow hunters
Starting point is 00:49:25 you think are Democrats and what percentage are Democrat socialist? Interesting. What percentage of bow hunters voted for Kamala Harris? Less than 5%. That's for sure.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Fucking less than 5%. So there you go. The highest calorie burning activity there is all are Republican. Vitality. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:49:52 That's interesting. No gruntle. Everything I say is interesting. All vitality, no gruntle. Thursday, July 9th, Las Vegas over Kimmel's Club. I just go to Adam Crowell.com for all the live shows. What do you got, Drew?
