Starting point is 00:00:00 Recorded live at Corolla 1 Studios with Adam Carolla and board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky. You're listening to The Adam and Dr. Drew Show. Yeah, get it on. Get on that. Get on that Drew. Board of Sackett. Dix and Specialist, everybody.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Who do you know now? Yeah, I got thoughts. Do you have thoughts? I got thoughts. I'm guessing some of them are flying around to the same. same area. I'm guessing you have thoughts on that grand platinum fellow. Well,
Starting point is 00:00:36 a couple things. I have a lot of thoughts. One is it's funny. He basically called all cops, bastards, and like made fun of a Purple Heart recipient and said they should
Starting point is 00:00:52 shoot and should have shot him and killed them and he's got a Nazi tattoo. And he's done a lot of, you know, He's a socialist and wants to defund this and fuck that. It's a pretty on a weird dating app for young people and things of that nature with a shirt off. But if there's any rape allegations, that's it for the Democrats. So there's a weird thing like Nazi stuff, don't care about, make fun of the troops, don't care about, make fun of cops, law enforcement, don't care about.
Starting point is 00:01:30 that don't really care about anything, but if there's anything involving a woman, like a rape allegation, they spring to action. And like, you know, if you really think about sort of policy-wise, if you're, look, here's a deal. We're going to elect these people and these people will govern us, that will govern us. You know what I mean? The domestic stuff, the stuff that drug, the drug, the drug, the drug, the drug, the drug, the, the stuff that drunken, bedroomy girlfriend, strong army stuff, affects the public zero.
Starting point is 00:02:08 The least compared to some of the other things. The least compared to defunding the police or defunding the army or, you know, attack socialist, you know, whatever that is, the behind closed doors thing, now people can go, well, it speaks to a mindset or something. And but it's sort of like the Nazi signal didn't do that. No. So I, but here's what I mean, he signaled everything else with his mindset. Why does that mindset?
Starting point is 00:02:39 That's, they have decided that they're the party of women, even though they don't really care if women are executed by illegals. Right. That, those women, they have no interest in, the young women who get killed by illegals in sanctuary cities. They have zero interest in them. but if other women are sort of raped in a, well, just called a non-traditional jogging in the park, not the rape I grew up with, but the new version, the drunken, strong army, girlfriendy, that form of rape. That's the worst. If that, well, it's, well, look, young women being executed on subways and in parks and things like that have,
Starting point is 00:03:23 are neither here nor there. They don't even know about that. If you remember the testimony we were looking at, I think, last week, the woman says, I just was grateful she wasn't raped. She was just killed. Right. So many of them are raped and killed. So long as they're killed. Well, they don't care about rape and killing as long as it's done by an illegal.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Right, right. But if it's done by a white dude, then there's issues. So now we have issues. The tattoos, the Nazis, they're making fun of the Purple Heart recipients, the defund the police. and calling them bastards and all that. The socialism, that's all fine. Now we have an issue with an ex-girlfriend. But there's an interesting time course.
Starting point is 00:04:05 And by the way, I was saying, I think about this on the wind. It's kind of interesting. Rape is a big deal to them. Yes. Abortion is a zero to them. It's a right. Right. Well, it's almost to be applauded.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Yes. Which is weird because, like, I would find abortion and rape is distasteful and sort of, both of them would be problematic to me. Isn't it interesting that one of the sort of stand-up defenses to abortion is if it's a product of rape? Right. That's where they're, that's the Reese's peanut butter cup of sexual abuse comes together. So they love abortion, but they hate rape. And by the way, no one will make a rape scale because they,
Starting point is 00:04:57 They'll never talk about that because nobody can talk about that. But the law has murder and murder one in special circumstances and laying in weight. But it also, it goes down to manslaughter. There's a version of you murdering somebody where you were driving drunk and didn't see the guy and it was raining at night, whatever. They don't do that with rape. They just go rape. So that's easy for them. Now, but the interesting time course on all this is this woman and others had reported this long ago.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Yes. And the New York Times did a, quote, investigation. Yes. Did you read, Alex Berenson is on the loose on this. Oh, yeah, I love it. Did you see some of the quotes? Well, it's a lot of, you know, he did this, but a lot of fun memories as well. He's fun.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Well, listen. He's a nice and fun partner. Okay, Drew, can I say this? Can I say this? Women, the two women that did this story also didn't follow up on other people to corroborate and things like that. Here's what I know about women. They are incapable of doing their job 100% free of feelings. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:17 They cannot do their job. Now, they can do their job. some can do their job with only 15% feelings. Yeah. But not the ladies at the times. They cannot do their job. So they cannot do their job so much so that, you know, they're all staunch Democrats. They're having to write a piece on a guy who's going to help the Democrats,
Starting point is 00:06:44 and that prevents them from them doing their job. Also, it gets them into such a place. where I heard these two women who wrote Jody Cantner, I think it was, and Megan Toey, who wrote for the Times, they're also talking about the what aboutism with Trump, with the grab-in-by-the-pussy thing. Okay. Do you think that's what he does,
Starting point is 00:07:08 or was he joking with Billy Bush? Let's put it to you this way. I've never heard of anybody grabbing anyone by the pussy because you can't physically really do it. You know what I mean? Does anyone even broke down the physicality of grabbing someone? You can grab someone by the ear or by the elbow, but it's hard to grab them. It's like saying, I grab them by the chest.
Starting point is 00:07:34 No, it's making women into bowling balls. Right. And you put your fingers in the ball. It's like, what? How crazy it would be. But I saw a question. So anyway, he never did it. And if he did do it, believe me, someone would come forward.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So you two who are reporters, I was going to say we're fooled, but you're not fooled. You're trying to believe something that didn't exist. Mitt Romney said he's got women and binders. Right. Are you fucking retarded? You're a reporter. You're supposed to see through all of this shit. So they can't do their job because they're women and because they're Democrats.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And it's impossible. those two things can't happen. Men and Democrats, they can, it's tough, but their batting average is a little bit better and then straight Republican dudes can do it better. Their feelings get involved. But Megan Kelly is a female. She has feelings, but, oh, we have this clip.
Starting point is 00:08:45 She has feelings, but she can still do her job. job. Right. I just want to say that I saw Chris Rock to a routine that he never went public with him. Maybe I shouldn't be reporting it as his. But, um, wait, where'd you see him? He was doing a like, uh, you know, they do sort of trial runs at the improv sometimes in that little front room. It was sort of a, he working some material out kind of thing. And he said, he goes, you can't overcharge the criminal. He goes, he was saying that being on TV makes you so popular that and like you, you could even do this to them. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:22 And they still like you. He's not saying, I did this to them because I was on TV. He was saying that they will put up with anything from me because I'm on TV, making a point to Bush. Of course. Of course. It's me going, I am so popular in Valley Village that I could shoot the mayor and the court would never convict me.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Adam tried to shoot the mayor. Well, isn't it interesting. Trump said the same thing about killing someone on Fifth Avenue. when he was talking about his popular. It's the same exact metaphor. Same thing. All right. You say it at the improv.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Is that at the comedy store? Yes, improv comedy store on Melrose. Sorry. The improv comedy store on Melrose. Uh-oh. Oh, you're talking about the Del Taco Taco Bell on Hoover Street? Okay. I don't know how I was to identify it.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Oh, I don't know how I was to identify. Oh, I don't know. Wait, we're talking about the Wendy's McDonald's that's on Alfa Alvarado. Wait, are we talking about the Ford Chevy that's on the... Yeah. Drew, how long have you lived in this town? Today's, let's say it's Tuesday. 65 years.
Starting point is 00:10:37 There's a club called the Comedy Store, and there's also one called the Impro. Right. So you couldn't believe the improv comedy story. You'd have to be at the Impro. Comedy. No, no. You said you're at the improv in the front room. But the front room, there isn't a front room at the improv. There's a front room at the comedy store. Well, there is a front room that they, it's a bar. And they sometimes let people work out material. The Melrose Improv? I think you mean the lab? The lab. You mean the lab on the side.
Starting point is 00:11:08 It didn't exist then. Wait, wait. What year was this? Right after Trump did this. It was so 2016. Yeah. And they just were setting it up that way at that time. But it was in the front. You walk in the front door. You walk in the, as I recall, there's the ticket booth. And you walk past the ticket booth into this little library.
Starting point is 00:11:28 That's the lab. Okay. It's in the front room. It's in the front. No, it's to the left. Oh, sorry. To the left of the main room. Yeah, you walk through the front of the ticket room.
Starting point is 00:11:39 You walk through the parking lot. Through the parking lot. Yeah, okay. All right. So that was the lab of the. All right. Anyway. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:48 So, where are we? You got a clip? Let's see if this is the right clip. Oh. Let me take a second here. All right. So I was telling Andrew to look for this clip because it's the ladies. Anyway, listen, people, how can you have reporters who have a lot of feelings?
Starting point is 00:12:12 You cease to be a reporter. How can you be an umpire with a lot of feelings? Just imagine Walter Cronkwright delivering the news with feelings every night. Well, what I'm saying is, is look, I made it super simple. A father could go be umpire, his kids who was pitching's a little league game. I don't think a woman could. Yeah. I think it would, she could, it would be affected.
Starting point is 00:12:38 It would be affected to a greater level. Yep. Okay. Let's see if we got the right clip. Here. Well, let's talk about what they may or may not be willing to overlook. The accusations against Graham Platner are not classic Me Too accusations. They're not about a boss and a young female employee being subjected to sexual advances.
Starting point is 00:13:03 They were mostly made in the context of consensual relationships. There are these very sensational texts about sex. There are allegations from former girlfriends that are not, the way my colleagues reported them, were not like classic abuse allegations. They were mostly like being his boyfriend gave me a view into him, and I did not like what I saw. His character was scary.
Starting point is 00:13:31 He had this Nazi tattoo, et cetera. There was one allegation of crossing a line physically. But I think that means that these are pretty different. Well, you got to pause it for a second. First off, I totally agree with this shit. But you assholes made the rules. And so you should follow your own rules, which you've got to believe all women. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:52 And I love it when they get down to Christine Blasey Ford said no one listened. She couldn't remember a date or a location. Yeah. So you want to live in a world where people are able to accuse people of rape from 40 years ago who can't remember any details whatsoever. And then we throw that person in prison. I don't know. That seems like a weird world to want to live in.
Starting point is 00:14:18 All right, here we go. Sorry. And gave me a view into him, and I did not like what I saw. His character was scary. He had this Nazi tattoo, et cetera. There was one allegation of crossing a line physically. But I think that means that these are pretty different accusations than, say, the ones that President Trump faced. And, of course, in the Access Hollywood tape, President Trump bragged about gravity. women against their will. So I think it speaks to the kind of...
Starting point is 00:14:52 Hold on a second. This is the most fascinating part of this era for me, which is people who are reporters who are intentionally misinterpreting statements. Well, I mean, just look at COVID, man. It was a big lesson in all that. And I get it. We had to bash through our brain. No, I get that.
Starting point is 00:15:14 That's something a little bit different. It is. Mitt Romney said he had women in binders and good people on both sides. Like, you understand as a reporter you're supposed to cut through that. Not when you're hysterical. Right. So too many women in these positions have made this murky. But let's be fair.
Starting point is 00:15:36 If it were Megan Kelly, it would not sound like this. Right. That is true. Yeah. And Jake Tapper is a dude who would sound like this. All right. You can keep playing it. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:15:47 men against their will. Against their will. I just go back 10 seconds. He's grabbing women against their will. Let's stop. Look, if you are the anchor, you can go, I think he was using hyperbole to make a joke in front of a guy he had a hot mic on. They'd go, well, I'd stop him to go,
Starting point is 00:16:13 these women, he grabbed against their will. If any of them come forward, where are they? How come they've not... That would be the only question. ...find them. Right, here we go. But I think that means that these are pretty different accusations than, say, the ones that President Trump faced.
Starting point is 00:16:32 And, of course, in the Access Hollywood tape, President Trump bragged about grabbing women against their will. And so I think it speaks to the kind of confusion of the long post-beat-to moment. I hate that contemptuous smile. Like gender-related accusations get bundled together, but they're actually very different. That smile like that. Yeah, you know, one of the things that Graham Platner said in his comments that you showed earlier in the show was they want to make this just about one moment. But what I'm struck by is it's not just about one moment with him.
Starting point is 00:17:04 It's not just about one time where he grabbed someone's wrist. It's about a time where, as your colleagues reported, he took her and he put her in a room and he closed the door allegedly and would not let her out. All right. Anyway, by the way, when Megan can't. Kelly goes, that's kidnapping. I'm like, eh. Anyway, so by the way, has anyone been in a fight with a chick when you're drunk?
Starting point is 00:17:25 This is pretty, pretty basic. Drunk dude behavior. Yeah, well, she, well, she was spinning out. Yeah. He grabbed her, shoved her in a room, and pulled the door shut and said, I'm not opening it until you fucking calm down or something. Pretty basic stuff that we have to kind of pretend is a big deal.
Starting point is 00:17:45 But it hasn't more been reported? When was this? This is... Look, here's the deal. The guy, all right, you want to know who he is? He's an alcoholic with a rage problem when he gets drunk who also has some sexual addictions. Yes. And that's exactly who he is.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Right. And when he drinks, those things come out. Yes. And that's who the guy is. Right. He's not a serial rapist. I don't know that he's a misogynist. He's an alcoholic who can't handle, who can't maintain.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Right. He gets drunk, and then he goes over at his old girlfriend's house, and he stocks. He does what 19-year-old dudes did historically throughout history when they got drunk. But this is a certain kind of drunk, you know what I mean? There are drunks that get violent and aggressive. That's what he... Yeah, he was that kind. His thing is...
Starting point is 00:18:45 Look, if he never drank, he wouldn't have a tattoo. He wouldn't have made whatever comments he probably made when he was tweeting drunk. He'd have none of these allegations, you know. None of them... Nothing happened at noon on a Tuesday. It all happened after a night of drinking. So he's an alcoholic. Yeah, would it have been wise for him before all this to go, you know what?
Starting point is 00:19:10 I've had terrible consequences from my drinking. I'm going into the program. I will not drink again. And that's the end of that. Would that exonerate him? We will take a quick break. And then I will tell you right after this. Right now, North America is the center of the soccer universe.

Starting point is 00:19:54 Mint, there are things in life that you don't want to be transparent, like your swimsuit or your search history. But when it comes your wireless bill, transparency is everything. and that's why Mintmobiles, wireless plans have no gimmicks and no gotchas. You can even bring your current phone and number. Choose from three, six, 12-month plans and say goodbye to a monthly bill. Making the switch was the easiest thing I ever did. So it's worth it. It's mint.
Starting point is 00:20:32 It's easy. Keep your old phone. Keep your old number. It's mint, right, Daphne? To get your new wireless plan for just $15 a month, go to mintmobile.com slash ADS. That's mintmobile.com slash ADS. Cut your wireless bill to $15 a month at mintmobile.com slash ADS. That's it.
Starting point is 00:20:48 There's no catch. Up front payment of $45 a month for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for 12 months. Plan required. $15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only. Greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. Includes up to 20 gigabyte hotspot.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Capable device required. Availability, speed and coverage varies. Seamintmobile.com. Yes. He should have come out at the very beginning and said, I'm an alcoholic. I'm in recovery now. And they're alcoholics that get drunk and become the life of the party. And then they're alcoholics who get drunk and get violent and get Nazi tattoos
Starting point is 00:21:30 and do a bunch of shit they wish they didn't do when they wake up the next day. Right. I, unfortunately, one of those alcoholics. Right. And I may even black out. I may black out and do shit. I don't even remember getting a Nazi tattoo. So.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And he could couch that in all kinds of clever ways. Like many millions of alcoholics. I mean, I've had this. I'm in recovery. Blah, blah, blah. Like the great Hunter Biden. Yes. All the greats, all the heroes of your party.
Starting point is 00:21:59 All the here. George Floyd. Hunter Biden. All your heroes. Your Mount Rushmore. Democrats all had substance abuse problems, and I've just joined the ranks of these great men. All your heroes. But here's what interests me, and I don't really understand.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Yes, and then, sorry, then he should have just went, you're going to hear a bunch of shit. I'm sure some of it's true, because I got drunk and did some stupid shit. You know who did that early in his career was Tim Allen. Uh-huh. And it worked. That was it. And he got arrested for selling cocaine, as I recall. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:33 And he was a bad drug addict, and he was a great work. recovering guy now. It's like, that was that. But what interests me in all this is the time course. In other words, these things seem to be defended, defended, defended. This woman's part of the defense strategy, this New York Times article. And then all of a sudden, something causes it to collapse. And the biggest example that for me was Biden, right? He's fine. He's never been a better Biden. Oh, it's a cheap fake. All these defense, defense, defense. And then one thing becomes too much to handle. And they go, oh, he's got to go. So in that case, it was the debate. But there's something in this. There's some sort of a time course that we should be able to
Starting point is 00:23:24 accelerate because they do, you know what I mean? What do you mean? Well, I mean, it's so frustrating when you're sitting on the side, let's stay with Biden because he's the most glaring example, and one that everyone agrees on, is that you're sitting on the side going, the guy's got Parkinson's, the guy's got some cognitive difficulties, the guy can't, there's something going on. I said it probably for two years, and then boom, it crush us through. There seems to me there should be some strategy a year or 18 months earlier to be able to break through the democratic denial system. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:23:57 It just seems like a worthy thing to think about because just sitting there going, guys, hey, there's a problem. There's a problem. They defend harder. Right. And then something comes through. In this case, I don't understand quite why this broke through, right? This New York Times woman so defensive about this, obviously. Right.
Starting point is 00:24:17 And that contemptuous smile. I don't know what to. It's the thing most disturbing most about people that are debating from one side versus the other. when you have a contemptuous smile, like a knowing smile, like Cheshire Cat smiles. I know something, you're just so dumb. I can't possibly even barely reason with you. That is a disgusting feature. Any of that, I don't know what it is to accelerate things,
Starting point is 00:24:41 and I don't know why this one broke through all of a sudden. Yeah, I don't. Maybe there are others coming. I don't know. The whole thing is between that and Adam Shift and all that sort of stuff, for what's his name? Not Adam's shit, but what's his name out in California?
Starting point is 00:24:59 He got me too. Oh, yeah. Shit. Drew has always no help. Well, I know who we're talking about. I know, but that's the sad part. Swalwell. Swalwell, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Always no help. So, you ever think about that? I have made. Zero batting average on the, what's the name of that guy? Never called. No, no, no. You shit out names all day long
Starting point is 00:25:22 and tell that one time where you say, say, what was the name of the famous daredevil from the 70s who jumped motorcycles over buses in Wimbly Stadium? And then you go, I can't pull that up. You pull up names all the time unless someone points at you and then you'll never pull that name up. Could be anxiety disorder. There is something. Because I do block.
Starting point is 00:25:45 I block from anxiety. It's interesting. You sit around and you spit out names and drug manufacturer names and brand names and you spit out all you do spit out stuff six times a year and this is our whole career I go what's the name of that bad? I've always been that way oh yeah always been that way oh that's good to hear. Oh no no no absolutely
Starting point is 00:26:08 not if you go what was the stupid band what was the band the English band with the two brothers that fought all the time and I'll go Drew and you'll go I got nothing but every time every time I point at you you got nothing Which is weird because you know the band names. And if we're doing it conversationally, you got it. It's the point part that screws you up.
Starting point is 00:26:34 It's the retrieval system on, you know, when you're called upon. Yeah, but it's weird because your whole job is a retrieval system. But I think if you were to say, you know, what's the French word for blah-b-b-ba? I have trouble, and yet I might have been using that word an hour before. No, it can't. No, no. No, it's got, no, there's something, there's something more to it. It's not the retrieval.
Starting point is 00:27:03 It's the being pointed at. And then maybe it's the context. Like if I'm in a context of thinking about things, I can get at stuff. I mean, try, like, okay. Swalwell is a name that you have and you know. I could have gotten it. It's not on, it's not, it's what a point is I pointed at you. And that's what screwed you up with Swalwell.
Starting point is 00:27:24 And it was the process, your whole life that I've known you, it's when this person looks at you and goes, what, think about Dr. Bruce. Like if you said to Dr. Bruce, just talk about something you know while I'd just go run out to my car real quick. He'd go like, ah, what do you? It wouldn't work. It couldn't work.
Starting point is 00:27:50 But why can't it work? Right. Because you pointed at him, not going to happen. Yeah. It's the pointing that fucks it up. Because there's no way your batting average would be that low in the retrieval department for basic stuff like Swalwell or the name of this band or name. Because that's all stuff you know. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:09 So it's the pointing part that screws you up. I want to walk through the English band thing? Because I can't come up with a name for that and see where the block is. Oasis. Well, that's all. I was going to say Oasis. Well, that's it. But you didn't.
Starting point is 00:28:21 No, the point, I'm just saying the point. Actually, you'll be glad to know this. My mom was that way, too. She could talk about stuff. But if you ever pointed at her, went, what year was, but she'd always be like, I, guy. Maybe that's why it bothers you so much. Probably he is.
Starting point is 00:28:42 But would not, the pointing part is what throws you off. All right. Interesting. Well, that's something to look at. And it's not, and by the way, it's not a senior moment. Well, that's what I was worried about. This is 30 years old. No, all those times, every.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Yeah, but I've had it always. Then I've had it always. You've had you always. But in the past, it felt to me more like trivia that I didn't care about. So now it feels more like a retrieval problem. No. And also it's something that a lot. But I knew who Asis was, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:11 It's something that a lot of people suffer from. I've noticed. I've had this happen. But you are the most consistent at it. I'm just glad you never come up with the name. Always been. That's awesome. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Bigger problem. All right. Look at this spoon. Yeah. What's it got? Well, it's got a ring of coffee on it because somebody stirred it and then like it gets set back in. But it's in the sink. It's on the bottom of the sink, but they won't run the water on it.
Starting point is 00:29:43 And I, I, now I have hypervigilance. So this drives me insane. What? Do you? You're kidding. I cannot. You're hypervigilant? Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I cannot figure out the non-rincers. There are plenty of them. I've hired a lot of them over the years. Or any of them, you used to complain about people leaving shit in the sink, right? Just leaving it. No, no, no. Okay. So it was the same thing, non-rinsing.
Starting point is 00:30:09 It was always coffee at the bottom of the cup, and they would never rinse it. And it's a weird thing. It is a weird thing. I just had it this morning at home. There was coffee at the bottom of the cup, and it drove me a little crazy. I had to rinse it in the sink. I don't know why. Let me tell you, it's, so here's the weird thing to me.
Starting point is 00:30:32 There's like people who take pisses in urinals and then don't flush. To me, flushing is a sort of positive, B, it sort of punctuates, like we're now done. Yes. It's sort of when the, um, blackjack dealer is done with their shift and they do that hand clap move they go we're not done until I get that move so I wave the hands over the table so flushing the urinal actually feels satisfying yes to me I get that it's not like I don't hold my nose and go I got to could I get someone else to do this do you think the automatic flush running the water it's fine yeah running the water in the
Starting point is 00:31:12 mug with a little bit of coffee at the bottom that's sitting in the sink yeah is satisfying yeah like It feels like we're done. Yeah. It feels good. Yeah. People ain't into it. A lot of people ain't into it. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:31:27 And you talking about it does not get them any more into it than they were before you started talking about. Are they the ones that later have to scrub out the cups? Because leaving the coffee does great work. I know you're trying to connect it to something. I'm trying to figure out. It isn't a connection per se. It's just a non-flusher. They don't do it.
Starting point is 00:31:48 non-rincer. They're non-rincer. Any non-rincer's in there? Yeah, Andrew's a non-rincer. Andrew's a non-rincer. Any pre-gruntled non-rincer? Andrew is a non-rincer. That's all right.
Starting point is 00:32:00 He has many other positive qualities. Andrew's a gruntled non-rincer. Yes. He's a happy. Is the gruntling part of the non-rincer? Gruntle is happy, by the way. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:10 It sounds bad, but it's dis gruntled, like dis-happy. Just gruntle is without the dis. If you're just, Gruntled? You're just happy. What's poster gruntled? Bobby McFeran is gruntled. Yeah, it's like dissatisfied and satisfied.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Right. Same thing. Right. I'm not a rinser because I'm always down for an extra sandwich or something. I don't want to. Oh, mom. Mom did that. Mom did.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Mom did. Mom brought the sandwich here. No, I make the sandwich myself. I don't want to. Now you do, but historically, historically, we see this as toasted running. My girlfriend is a non-rincer, even though she does the dishes most the time and has to deal with that
Starting point is 00:32:51 fucking, that coffee gets pretty nasty down there and it's on her she does not do it. There are non-rincer's gruntled. They're non-rincer's like some people have earlobes that are attached all the way down
Starting point is 00:33:08 and some have earlobes that go up and it just is. It just is. So Andrew's a non-rincer. Everyone I used to employ here and non-rincer. And there was no... Correlation there.
Starting point is 00:33:21 There's no rinse. You can't convince to rinse. There's no amounts... If you can't rinse, there's no convince. I used to have tantrums about rinsing. And it didn't affect anybody. I'm glad this is better. Ever.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Ever. Ever. I'm glad that's better for you. And you certainly can't get somebody to rinse someone else's mug if that's not their job. But I, I, uh, I, uh, I, uh, I, but I, so my wiring is it's, it's, it's, um, it, it feels satisfying to rinse. Mm. Mm.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Others, not so much. And, uh, we've just, we've just discovered a, uh, something that different people. There's a gene. There's a non-rins gene. Yeah. Yeah. It exists. There, because. I have the rinse string.
Starting point is 00:34:16 I have the They put me on the spot Recall gene Can't recall And I have the rinse gene Yeah I have the rinse gene too I literally When I was at your house
Starting point is 00:34:26 Your wife doesn't have the rinse gene That's what I was saying This morning I had to deal with it You didn't say who it was But I knew it was your wife Because I went When I was staying at your house With the fires
Starting point is 00:34:38 Back then Yeah Yeah I went I took a shower In the master bath And I'm not sure why A shower in the master bath.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Mine? Yeah. My bath. Your bath. I don't know why I took a shower in there. The kind of brown tile. Yeah. I had a, I talked to you about going to, I can't remember why.
Starting point is 00:35:02 Anyway, I walked up there. There was a coffee mug. Oh, yeah. And it just bake overnight. And then I'll walk it over to the bathroom. My wife has taken this to the level. She has a heating pad, like a hot pad that'll just cook it right into the cup. cook the coffee.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Oh, what do you mean a heating pad? She has a heat. She likes her coffee very hot. All right, hold on a second. We got to take a break. A heating pad. Yeah. Yeah, but, okay.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I don't know. Let's describe it. I'll try it. Hot plate. All right, quick break. Right back after this. Hello, and welcome to Plutofo. If you know the name of the movie you'd like to see, just stream it for free on Pluto TV.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Where all your blockbuster favorites are landing all summer long. Catch Anchorman, the legend. of Ron Burgundy. Fantastic. The Matrix Trilogy. Welcome to the real world. Mean girls. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Titanic. I'm the king of the world. And so much more. For showtimes, press nothing. They're free 24-7. That is so fetch. On Pluto TV. Stream now, pay never.
Starting point is 00:36:05 All right. You say your wife has a heating pad. That means a cloth thing for her bad back. No, no, no, no. And you're talking about the bedroom. Okay. And so now you're confusing to fuck out of it. Yeah, it's a little.
Starting point is 00:36:16 It's a little, it's a little, A mug heater, whatever. But don't say heating pad. A mug heater. You're right. It's not a pad. But I think about it is a thing called a heating pad that women use. You know what's fucked me up?
Starting point is 00:36:25 She had like a pad before she found this more steady state thing. Right. So she keeps the mug warm, leaves the mug and it bakes on now. And this thing gets hot. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And getting the coffee out once it's cooked in at the bottom. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:43 All right. So women and Andrew have this. problem. They must all be gruntled. It's a rinsed thing. Gruntled. Now here's the, can I say this, this, this doesn't sound fair to me, this thing, this arrangement men have with women. Tell me if this sounds fair. Which part of it? Here's this part. When you ask them to do something and they basically don't do it. You can never ask again. They just don't.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Do you know what I mean? The mug rinse. You might as well. And those are never asking. All right. But the mug rances, you ask for the most logical thing in the world. Can you rinse your mug? They don't do it.
Starting point is 00:37:34 You can bring it up one more time. And that's it. And they're not going to do it, but you can never bring it up again. Yep. Because you're annoying at that point. It's going to cause a problem and they're not doing it. Right. It's not going to change anything.
Starting point is 00:37:50 If they have some beef with you, for instance, you kick your shoes off in the bedroom and leave them sort of in the walkway versus by the front door or whatever that thing is. A little specific there, but okay. Let's say something like that happened. It happened. No, I'm saying they have their request. Yes, yes. Maybe a wet towel on the floor of the bathroom. or something, which I would never do.
Starting point is 00:38:13 But they have their request. If you don't do it, you're in trouble. Why is it that our deal is I have stuff I'd like you to do, such as rinse the mug, and you have stuff I like me to do, such as not leave my shoes on the stairs or something like that. And I will hear about it every single time I do it. But if I bring the mug thing up again, I'm in trouble. Why is that a balance?
Starting point is 00:38:42 I think this is a big topic. It is. I think you're tapping into something here because here's something, oh goodness. So there's something that people with borderline personality do that is an exaggerated strategy that most women use at most times. And that is when emotions are had that aren't pleasant, they must be cast upon the other. Yes. So what you're annoying me with your shoes, you must feel my annoyance every time.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Right. And it does not stop. A guy can be annoyed, speaks about the annoyance, and then kind of keeps it to himself and has to keep it for himself because it's not going to change. Right. There's not that men are incapable of that projecting thing, but it's called projective identification. It's sort of putting emotions out in the world. And it's something that no one talks about, and it's not a good trait. Because it's the opposite of learning to regulate your emotions or to, you know, sort of,
Starting point is 00:39:52 and it's bad for relationships. And it happens a lot. And I would argue that some of the acting out stuff that, you know, you complain about, like why divorce is the way it is in this state, includes some of that, a lot of that stuff. where you must feel the pain that the other divorce, you know, the female member of the divorce parties is feeling. Until you feel it, I'm not happy. It's kind of a weird thing.
Starting point is 00:40:21 There's also some of it is real basic stuff for, which I'm basically saying there's an instruction part of life and I'm very used to the instruction part of life. and so when I get instructed something, I sort of respond to it. Respond to it. And I also... It's not a personal affront. It's not something bad about you.
Starting point is 00:40:48 You haven't done something bad. No, just being instructed. And also, I have a thing where I have a phobia. Like, I, phobia is, I mean, it's not the exact right use of the word phobia, but I have a phobia about anyone saying to me hey, remember we talked about this before
Starting point is 00:41:12 and this is about the third time I have to bring it up to you? That is my greatest fear as somebody bringing something up to me for a third time. Other folk don't care about it at all. You can get to the 45th time. It doesn't bother them, which is weird.
Starting point is 00:41:29 I don't know what to call that. There's a certain out-of-it-ism and then a certain narcissism or something. I think it has many different flavors. I think it has many different flavors as well. I'll put it to you this way. If a woman told me, let's not, you know, I don't want your shoes on the staircase.
Starting point is 00:41:56 I almost tripped over and killed myself, if that was the fat. And they went out of town to visit their mom. mother like they used to doing TV commercials. And I was like, well, I guess I got rule of the place. And I kicked my shoes off and I kicked them off on the stairs heading upstairs at a bedrock and I thought to myself, well, she's not going to be home until Saturday. And as I was leaving that morning on a Thursday going to work, I saw my shoes were on the stairs, but she's not home until Saturday.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I'll just get. If I got a phone call that day going, actually, I'm leaving early and I'm coming back Thursday night, I would literally rush home and move those shoes. Yes. It would bother the shit out of me. It would fuck me up. Yep. It really would.
Starting point is 00:42:44 It'd be like in my head, I'd be like, what time you land? You know, I think I can make it home. And I would go in and move those fucking shoes. Yeah, I get it. Many people I've dealt with and have been married to give it no second thought ever about anything that's been discussed a million times, which is super weird for me. Yeah. And I'm not saying I'm courteous and I'm not saying I'm thoughtful.
Starting point is 00:43:10 I'm just saying if you bring something up, I don't want to talk about ever again. Some of it is receiving it fully. You know what I mean? Like somebody's got to hear that, you know, I almost tripped over these shoes that could have hurt myself. You have to hear it. And they don't even get to the hearing part, I think. A lot of these people.
Starting point is 00:43:32 I was told not to ball up my socks together before they went into the hamper. And it seared into me. See, I know I'm guilty of not hearing stuff. By the way, I looked at that as a little nitpicky. I was like, I'm throwing the hamper. That's really? I would agree. That's gone to list of things to fix.
Starting point is 00:43:55 You're annoying. You're annoying. That just seems like you're picking a little bit there, but all right, I won't do it anymore because you got to unball them. But you have to hear it. And I have a guilt. I'm guilty of not fully hearing it sometimes. Like, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you got to be aware of yourself, you know, that you can be, you have to have attention to the matter and then hear it.
Starting point is 00:44:18 And, you know, it steps to it. Now, I'll tell you, we're all getting to trouble. If I get into trouble. Yeah. There are two types of requests. there are ones that I hear and I go yeah okay I get it you don't want to see my shoes on the stairs I won't leave on the stairs and then there are ones that I'm like oh yeah I'm listening you know what the fuck you're talking about but I'll listen anyway and then when you leave I'll do it anyway yeah
Starting point is 00:44:42 because you're you're incorrect about this yes I don't feel like arguing with you about it but I will not not do this right because that's that's your thing and so there's a fair amount there's that too. But to be, but you have to think that one through. You have to have heard it and thought it through and decided what you're going to do. I think people just don't even hear. They just don't hear it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:07 In a real way. I mean, they just, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and then on they go. No. I mean, how could your, how could your wife not close the door to the pool with the kids if she'd heard it? No, she left the gate open, but she didn't leave the gate open. The gardener would leave the gate open, and I would tell her. the gardener leaves the gate open. So after the gardener leaves, you've got to go out and check.
Starting point is 00:45:33 A couple steps in that one. It's hard. One step or one and a half steps. I don't know. The gardener leaves, you go check to see if he left the gate open, which he would always do. By the way, I had a great move with the gardener. There was one gate that had a lock on it, and he would never lie.
Starting point is 00:45:52 We'd always leave it open. And then at some point I said, you got to lock. the gate. And I came out there and it was a gate, you know, it was like a deadbolt type lot. And the lock was strung, but it was on the other side of the gate. It was like, I was like, wow.
Starting point is 00:46:08 Yeah. I mean, you did. I did say, Technicality. Turn that key. And he did, but it wasn't in the hole. It was on the other side of the gate. So the gate was just flapping around with the bolt sticking out.
Starting point is 00:46:19 I'm like, I'm always amazed at how I can be beat non-technicalities. Anyway, you know what? the gardener from doing that? I just want, I'm going to charge you 50 bucks if you ever do that again. And then it stopped immediately. Yeah. Which I always hate because it means the people can do it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:46:39 They have to pay attention. It has to matter to them. They have to receive it. They have to hear it. I think it's way too much credit for how their brain works. Not anymore. Yeah, good. After 10 years of trying to get people to rinse mugs, I've realized that people are pretty
Starting point is 00:46:55 much, I will just say sleepwalking essentially. Here's what I'm saying. Are you ready? Yeah. People have stuff they're interested in. Yes. And then they have stuff they're not interested in. And if they're not interested in it, you can't get them interested in it.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Correct. Even if you're paying them or whatever that relationship is. I'm going to add another layer to that. And by the way, women really can't. There's another layer. He can't get into it. There's another layer. Adam's annoying.
Starting point is 00:47:28 That's the other layer. They're not going to get interested in it. It's defiance. Yeah. Now, it's weird. I have a son who's interested in everything. So we can just talk about anything and keep going. My daughter's getting there.
Starting point is 00:47:42 But most people, I was at a party. My daughter's interested in wheels? No. Oh. That's a long. I can't get interested in rims and wheels. Boy, am I going into overdrive with rims and wheels? No, man.
Starting point is 00:47:56 You have no idea we are coming into the Monterey race, and I got rims and tires to deal with. By the way, I always love, there's also a weird thing of confusion that people have. Mike August has it. This guy, Les, who's working on my car does. He's literally, we're trying to finish one dots in 510, and then I'm taking another dots in 510 to race. and when we talk about parts for it or prepping, he just says the 510. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:48:28 He will not say the yellow 510 and he will not say the 85 car. He just says the 510, in which case I have to say to them. Which one? Right. And so we're having a long talk about wheels and tires, rims and tires, rims and tires, rims and tires. And at some point, we're talking about getting the new Hoosier, Street TDs, 205, 60-ser, 60-series, 305. 60 series 13s for the track and blah blah blah blah and then we're also talking about Libra wheels we've got the 13 by 7 the Libra wheels that would have blah blah blah and at some point um sorry
Starting point is 00:49:03 we're talking about rims and tires rims and tires rims and tires and then he goes well we're going to get those wheels in or something he kind of combined the two and then so you wouldn't know if he's talking about a tire or rim because he said wheel and I noticed there's a lot of people with a lot of that. But I'll give you an example. You ready? Yeah. Adam Cher works back there. Adam Carolla sits here. Nate Adams, another Adam, will go, Adam, and then we'll both turn around and go what? And I'll go, Adam, and I'll say to him, all right, if you want me say Adam, if you want him say share, or you can go, that Adam and Corolla, you can do it. But don't just keep saying am. I'll go, okay, two minutes or go by, I'll go, Adam, I need you in the office.
Starting point is 00:49:48 They can't do it. They hear you. Can't do it. It's like rounding. It's, yeah. All right. All right. Tomorrow night, Las Vegas, over at Kimmel's Club, two shows, two shows Friday, two shows Saturday,
