I want to take aim at the media, all media. I literally had arguments on News Nation and Newsmax and Fox News, screaming at these guys about what they're reporting. And it's gotten, and what they report is so out of line, it actually has bled into the AI now. So I go to AI and I go, give me an update on the cyclospora. In a cyclospora, they go, thousands of cases in 34 states. I go, you have to know the topic you're asking about to even use AI these days because it scours Reddit and it scours the public media, which is always completely wrong.

So three rounds with AI. You know, what does the CDC update tell us up to the minute right now? Okay. The present outbreak was for the year, 1,694.4. cases in a country that usually has two to three thousand cases per year. So we are not even up to our usual standard. Yeah. So there's several months left in the year, but we're not making, we might not make it to that number. And then they go, oh, but Michigan, thousands, thousands of cases. No, no, no. Thousands of suspected cases. Hysterical people with diarrhea who just go, you got to test me for cyclospora. The reality is, it was. was linked to shredded lettuce from Mexico from Taylor Farms de Mexico, Adam.

And that's so long coming up here. What about those tamales? Was it linked to that? And here's the other part that drove me crazy. I mean, people, I literally interviews on the street, people going, yeah, I'm thinking about it, I'm worried about it. I think about all the time. In states where there's no reported cases. Yeah.

Well, you're overly sensitive to this because I don't even hear about any of it. All right. But here's the part that I saw in the view they were discussed in this case. They go, it's because RFK cut down the number of people tracing food pathogens. Well, blah, blah, blah, okay. So let's take that hypothesis. There's no way to test for cyclospora ahead of time. It's just too sporadic and too rare.

All you can do is what's called traceback, which is when there's an outbreak, you trace it back to a source. And on average in this country, that takes six to ten weeks. And the present outbreak, eight weeks, right on the average, right on the average, found it, isolated, took care of it over. Easily treated with scepra, sulfa, which is a medication people take for urinary infections. You're not no deaths, 90 hospitalizations, very elderly, and people with immunosuppression from chemotherapy, that sort of thing. Young healthy people, it probably cleared without treatment. We're disabling young healthy people. We're making them believe that, first of all, they should live forever.

Secondly, that infectious diseases should never touch them. And let's remind ourselves, you've heard me say this how many years, Adam. Oral fecal contamination is the primary, is the most common illness on the earth. The oral fecal route. Oral ficle route, that's it. Which is the one Andrew always wants to take when we're driving to, we're driving to, we're driving up to Malibu. I'm like, I'm like, let's stay on PCA. He's like, no, let's take the oral fecal route. I'm like, you know what? Let's just stay on PCA. But he's always pushing for the

oral fecal route. But yes. So the expectation is there will be maybe a few thousand more documented and it will be above average. I hope, I hope it's above average. But the whole reason this became a story was to take aim at RFK. Yeah, I'm sure of it. Look, my greatest superpower is never listening to any of these fucking assholes about anything ever and not giving a shit about any of this stuff. I have no idea who's down with it. I have no thoughts about it ever, any time. And yes, we have to go after RFK because we're living in a world now.

Here's the world that the Democrats have created. They create a problem, such as leaving the border open. then Republicans have to go in and clean up the mess, and then they attack the people that are cleaning up the mess they made. The other version of this is all of the fraud for Medicaid and Cal Medicare and all of Medi-Cal and all the learning centers and the hospice centers, they create a giant, humongous mess where billions of dollars have gone down the drain. which we're looking at now. No, no, looking at the fact that RFK today pulled Medicare funds in California, Minnesota.

Medicaid, I think it says. What did I say? Medicare? It's Medicaid. I don't even know the difference, but it doesn't matter. Yes, because you created a giant cesspool of waste, and now we have to do something about it, and now you're angry at the people that have to do something about it, which is a weird way to go through life. Although, Drew, a lot of chick think involved with being angry, the person that has to fix the shit that you guys fucked up. Well, yeah. And by the way, Kennedy said Gavin Newsom and Tim Walts, if they want the money to fund low-income health care, quote, they need to provide documentation that the payments are legitimate. Shocking. Yes. And also, it suggests something when you won't cooperate.

You know, when they go, open the voter rolls. California goes, no. And then they go, you got to open them. They go, we're going to sue you. It's like, well, what is it that you guys are hiding that you don't want to cooperate? Right. And their answer would be nothing. But my answer is what's in the trunk.

Right. So you either pop the trunk or you call your attorney. If you call your attorney, something's in the fucking trunk that you don't want us to see. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, something interesting in what you're saying here, and I want your opinion about this. Van Jones did a little diatribe on X where he went, hey, look, you know, the left is, this is Looney Tunes time. This opened the prisons and no press, not defund the police, eliminate the police.

Bill Maher has been saying this for a long time. What kind of world are we even talking about? What planet would that work in? And he sort of took it on, but he said something interesting. And this is the part I went down. Van Johnson. Van Jones, rather. Bands. He said, the left can't, the Democratic Party can't tolerate this, or it will become a hollowed out version of itself the way the right let itself become.

Yes, they always do that. And that's the part I find interesting that people seem to, because I sit right in the middle, you and I have, we've been where we've always been. And so we're watching both sides swing. wildly. But it's always the right, I mean, Donald Trump was their bull in the China shop to correct what the Democrats had done. I don't seize the right swinging wildly. Not this wildly, not as wildly as the left is. But you could argue, you could argue. I'll let you finish your thought. But you could argue that Donald Trump is sort of a reaction to try to bring things back that they might not have taken, you know, that's a swing. They might not have taken a different time. Well, you know, Trump is different than Mitt Romney.

Right. That's for sure. And I think the right is interested in a lot of stuff Trump was preaching about closing the borders and, you know, but school choice and getting rid of this kind of basically this massive bloated bureaucracy and pairing it down a little bit. Taxes, you know, things of that nature. Yeah. So, but I don't think, you know, somebody was, I can't remember I was having a disagreement with somebody on the show. It wasn't a big disagreement. But, you know, they did this thing.

Right. But people do a little auto-correct. No, look, when someone is named Taryn, people hear it is Karen. Yeah. Because it's a more calm. It makes more sense. Your brain fills. Right.

That's a normal thing. That's why you have to pay attention. People say flush out a lot, but they mean flesh out. Yeah. And there's other. It's flesh out the correct one. But when people say flesh, they're just talking about human flesh, you're talking about the skin flesh eating virus and stuff like that. Flesh is not used that much in other contexts. And so I don't think it makes natural sense to say flesh out, like we're constructing a Frankenstein or something. There's a biblical connotation to flesh, isn't a pound of flesh. Yeah. Fleshing out is Flesh out doesn't, it doesn't make any more sense to go.

I have an idea for a movie. Let's sit down and flesh it out. It doesn't, to normal people, that flesh doesn't make sense in that context. It doesn't ring on. It sounds better. I disagree. So it affects eating and it affects alcohol and it affects sex. It affects not showing up to work on Monday because you're not feeling it. Right. And it affects not paying your rent. You know, like it affects everything. It affects, affects you. being 40 pounds overweight. That's how you got there.

So this thing where we got rid of all this, and I've been yelling about it, a long time, and that's my objection to a Zempic and all those other drugs, which is, I'm not talking about weight loss. I'm talking about self-regulation and taking a pill for everything. And it's a slippery slope, and you guys are all sliding down it. there's an alternate group of up at six, run five miles, take a cold plunge, take 180 degree sauna for 20 minutes. Those people are all just excelling.

Like they're all going fucking nuts. And then people do this thing where they go, not everyone has enough money for a sauna. You know, that's not what it's about. It's about fucking self-regulation. The government is getting way to involved. They're providing way too much free shit. as people are eating way too much free shit. This has to do with SNAP being taken a jack in the box.

This is a direct correlate. There's a correlation here. You should not use your SNAP. The government should not, you should not be able to buy soda with SNAP. You are fucking everyone up. They're getting fat. They're getting disease. But most importantly, they're losing discipline.

And we have decided that men can no longer discipline. their children. Yeah. In any meaningful way. And neither can the coaches and neither can teachers. We've gotten it all, we've gotten rid of it. So now it's a fucking thunder dome. A cop comes up and says, I need you to get back in the car and you start throwing

punches. At the cop, you fucking eat whatever you want. You smoke weed all fucking day, every day, all fucking 10 in the morning smoking weed. You're doing whatever the fuck you want. you're not doing anything that involves regulation or discipline or anything. But by the way, I've opened the thing up to just go in the fucking street and shoot drugs and sleep wherever the fuck you want, shit wherever you want.

It's, this is the beginning of the end. And then one group is getting more discipline and going harder on themselves. And then excelling and moving to Florida or Texas. I don't disagree with any of the. that, but I would argue simply that if you have the addiction triggered from all that, now you're walking around with it. Let's say you're a porn addict now, you're a gambling addict.

Now you're walking around the crack pipe in your pocket all day. Yeah. Good luck with that. Yeah. And so it's the two things. It's a double whammy. What do you mean it's the two things? You mean that's-

It's triggered and now it's all in your pocket. Now, shit. Now what do I do? Oh, yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. You're referring to.

Well, the problem is, I got it. It's a good metaphor. It's a good metaphor. The crack pipes in your pocket all day. But crack pipe's an extreme addiction too. So it falls on. Go ahead. Sorry.

I'm curious, though, about this addiction and how. relates to someone like Claude Lemieux, who was a very high achiever. I mean, four Stanley Cups played for, I don't know, like 20 seasons. My bet is afterwards, these guys fall apart. Not always. Not always. But afterwards, they don't have anything. It's like coming back from the war or something.

They just don't have the structure or they don't have the comradeship. They don't have the support, and they just, blah. And they fall apart. They've done what they needed to do. It keeps you, I sort of tell people all the time, what keeps you in your lane, so to speak, is you have these little markers, these mile markers that are out in the distance. And you go, hmm, I'm in the mood for dessert. And then you go, I'm doing that TV show next week. Maybe I shouldn't eat the dessert.

You know what I mean? So you have those things. And if you play professional hockey, it's a constant, I got to get up and go to practice tomorrow. I don't want to be hungover. And you got peers and fans. Yeah, yeah. There's lots of stuff going on.

But when you completely remove that and you just now, you're Howard Hughes, essentially, and you have enough money that you don't need to get up and go get your hustle on in the morning, I can then see that stuff kicking in. Sure, it already existed. It's a microcosm of. what Adam was describing. It's not, you know, what he's describing is a pervasive thing. And what we're talking about is, you know, an isolated circumstance.

So particular case. Mm-hmm. Case versus a trend. Yeah. Yeah, but back to, though, if you don't mind, Van Jones. I still, I just find it so weird that people, I guess you've always told me that it just depends what team you're on, but people can't look at either team objectively. They just are, they just, and I understand what you were saying about the right not being, you know, as wildly swinging as the left.

But to call the right completely hollowed out, it's, I look at what people on the right did. It's they needed a, they needed a bowl in the China. I don't, I don't even know what's different about the right. Now, the left, left does two things. They go, the right is hollowed out. And then they always do the laughable one, which is they're all in the same. and we can't do that, which is totally insane because it's exactly the opposite. So I heard somebody explaining that because left is collectivist, everything's always collective,

we're together, and the right is all about individuals, and so it's opinions. Well, I mean, let's think about the right being hollowed out. They have main planks in their platform, gun ownership. They like gun ownership. Free speech, guns. Yeah. Right. So that gun ownership. I don't know. Is that hollowed out? Is that different? Charlton Heston was talking about prying it from his cold dead hands. That was 45 years ago.

When did Charlton Heston make that NRA speech? What would you guess on that? I'd guess 80 early mid-80s, yeah, 40 years ago, something like that. You'd go mid-80s. I'm going to go later 80s. Could be even early 90s. Okay. Okay. So Charlton Heston, then 40 years ago was talking about wanting to keep your guns. By the way, I used to think it was kind of laughable about the guns and the protect yourself from the government kind of thing. I don't really think that's laughable anymore.

I did too. Listen, I was a fan of the Patriot Act. I was like, yeah, you know, they needed monitors. What do I have nothing to hide? No big deal. Oh, boy. Okay. 2000?

2000. All right. Yeah. He must have said something before that. like they brought him in to deliver the phrase again at the convention or something. Well, regardless. Yeah. All right.

It was a very different place. Okay. The right, according to Van Jones, wasn't hollowed out in 2000. Right. They're still all NRA guys, gun guys. You know what I mean? Then there's the border. I'm kind of going in, you know, size.

They went to border close. They don't want illegals. They don't want illegals voting. They don't want illegals in the same. census. They really don't want illegals living here. But what do you think he means by a hollowed out? He doesn't know what he means. Right. He doesn't know. Then there's religion and church. That's what they want. They want religion and church. Not so much, though, as we used to hear about it. No, we hear about it less. Yeah. Less. Then they want a stout military. They want lower,

lower, yeah, thank you. Lower taxes. Yeah. Less government intrusion. Yeah. Less abortion. Basic. I don't, you know, more emphasis on the nuclear family, moms and dads, that kind of stuff. Yeah. Law and order. Law and order.

Well, it's caught my ear was interesting. I don't, but what I'm saying is it's like, if I want to go in on this podcast and what we're not doing right, what we need to fix, I don't preface it with, call her daddy has its flaws as well. Now, lubber andrew. I don't need to, I'm telling you what the problem is here with my party, with my group, with my business. Why do I have to fucking preface it and preload it with what's wrong with another podcast? But what caught my ear was he didn't say what was wrong with the right. He was saying, don't become hollowed out like the right, as though hollowed out was the criticism. And I didn't know what even meant by that.

He doesn't know either. Okay. And they never tell you specifically. they just go, look, I hate Trump's, I didn't vote for Trump. That being said, you know, it's like, just why that, why preface it? Why not just fucking tell us what you think is wrong with your party? Yeah, yeah. I don't feel the necessity, you know, with the head of Ford is talking about production.

He doesn't go, you know, Chevy and GM, they have their issues as well. Now, let's talk about us. Like, just talk about you. Yes, Andrew. How often did you hear with Charlie Kirk like now? What he said was absolutely deplorable. Right, right, right. No one should be assassinated.

But Andrew is correct in that they just feel the necessity. It's a reflex. I don't even think they're not willing to pull out of the party or even distance themselves from the party. They're still,

they identify their, literally their identity. as Democrat. Yes. I just, I can't imagine identifying with a party. It just sounds a little. I could identify
