All right, everybody, I was about a log-off for the day, but we have some breaking news to run down regarding sexual assault allegations against a frontrunner for the governor's race of California.
Representative Eric Swalwell just got a slew of sexual assault allegations just days before the election.
Four separate women came out and said that Eric Swalwell has sexually assaulted them or raped them or taken advantage of them.
many of them were staffers for Eric Swalwell.
We'll read through this in just one moment,
but I am so incredibly sick of skeevy, purvy men
rising to the top of American power structures.
It happens disproportionately on the Republican side,
but it happens with Democrats every once in a while too,
and we have to hold our own to account
the same way we expect Republicans to
and see Republicans fail to do time and time again.
I mean, just the state of Florida
has produced a bunch of pervy right-wing men.
We have Donald Trump, who has dozens of sexual assault allegations and is on camera bragging about this stuff and still rose to power to power despite all of that.
We have people like Matt Gates, also from Florida.
We have Jeffrey Epstein from Florida.
We have James Fishback, a gubernatorial candidate from Florida.
We have people that should be held accountable for their actions, and they haven't been.
So on our side, I think it's fair that we call for people to resign or to drop out when credible allegations come out.
when there's a string of four people who have worked for him and connected to him saying the same thing
or very similar things, then we know these are credible, confirmed allegations, and these women need to be believed and taken very, very seriously.
So Eric Swalwell needs to drop out. Let's run through what happened. Let's run through the power dynamics in the United States that allow this to happen.
And as always, make sure you drop a like to help boost our pro-democracy message to help boost our pro-human dignity message.
I mean, just for a second, before I read this article off, I'm just so sick.
I'm so sick of American power structures being set up in such a way
where men who are narcissistic, manipulative, liars, who take advantage of others,
not only women, but people in the workplace lie all the time,
are then rewarded by rising to power and given so many breaks.
When I was a kid, I was told that being a nice person, being kind to other people,
respecting other people with, or treating other people with dignity,
respecting other people's bodily autonomy,
just being a man meant being respectful.
But every single time I look up to the highest echelons of power in the United States,
and I see people like Donald Trump calling for genocide or making fun of deaths.
I see people like J.D. Vance.
Elon Musk is in power.
I wonder what kind of lessons am I supposed to learn from these decrepit, pervy men,
most of whom have allegations against them, right?
So I'm just so sick of power structures incentivizing this type of ruthless behavior rather than demonizing this type of ruthless behavior.
Listen, it's fine to be ruthlessly passionate about something.
I'm passionate about my business and I prioritize a lot of things in my life, but I'm not an asshole.
I don't put other people down.
I don't ever hurt anybody.
So to see men in positions of power that abuse people beneath them almost make it to the governor of California is so incredibly disgraceful.
Listen to this.
A former staffer of Representative Eric Swalwell,
a leading Democratic candidate for California governor,
says the congressman raped her when she was heavily intoxicated
and left her bruised, bleeding, and more.
An allegation that Swalwell strongly denies,
but she said, quote,
I was pushing him off me, saying no, the woman told CNN.
She said it was a second time Swalwell had had non-consensual contact with her
while she was drunk.
In 2019, when she was still working for him, she woke up naked in a hotel room after a night of heavy drinking.
Three other women who spoke with CNN also alleged various kinds of sexual misconduct by the Democratic congressman,
including Swalwell sending them unsolicited, explicit messages or nude photos.
One woman who connected online with Swalwell over her interest in democratic politics
as she ended up extremely drunk inside a hotel room after a night out with the congressman,
with a little memory of what occurred.
Earlier in the night at a bar, he kissed her and touched her leg without her consent.
Another woman who described receiving unsolicited nude messages from Swalwell
was social media creator Ali Samarko.
She said she initially reached out to the congressman on Twitter to discuss politics.
Quote, I truly never thought he would respond.
I had like 1,000 followers at the time, and he actually responded.
Swalwell denied these allegations and sent out letters saying they were false.
I find this part to be incredibly disgusting.
One of the letter said that the women's claims were, quote, undermined by their voluntary and cooperative relationship with Mr. Swalwell over the course of many years.
Okay, so you're in a position of power over a woman in the workplace, and you sexually assault her or abuse her or rape her in this case.
And then she continues to work for you because she's scared to leave or report you because you're an effing congressman.
And you say that's proof that nothing happened.
This is just a fundamental misunderstanding of how power dynamics work.
And it's so incredibly disgusting that this person is a congressman.
And if these allegations are true, he needs to resign absolutely immediately.
And here's the difference between us and Republicans.
Ron Filipkowski on Twitter says,
Democrats' reaction to the Swalwell story is appropriate.
If he was a Republican, he'd go up at least five points with their primary voters.
We have people like James Fishback, people like Matt Gates,
who have not been held accountable, but who have been giving.
the golden silver spoon this entire time to continue growing their political careers.
Matt Gates was not forced to resign by any Republicans.
He was not pushed out or censured by any Republicans.
He resigned because Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson protected him as much as he could
from this House Ethics Committee report from releasing.
And the day the House Ethics Committee report was going to come out exposing Republican Matt
Gates, who was a representative from Florida for Venmoing underage girls and sleeping with them,
he resigned to escape all accountability.
We have seen Speaker of the House Mike Johnson protect Matt Gates, Donald Trump, and others to make sure they can avoid all accountability.
People like James Fishback in Florida are not punished for their allegations.
They're not punished for this. James Fishback is rewarded.
So we need to create an incentive structure in the United States where you are rewarded for being a hardworking, good, loyal human being who cares about decency and respect.
Right now, we live in the unethemptive structure.
upside down from stranger things, where everything is inverted so much so that this entire cabinet
is full of perhaps the most vile human beings you could potentially think of.
Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, at one point, Elon Musk.
These are not people that we look up to for better morals. These are people we should look down upon.
So it's just, it's interesting. You see a pattern of the people rising to the top in society
that have done these despicable things. We're going to do work every single day on the
Adam Mockler channel to make sure the Democratic Party, to make sure that America is full of people
who are not riddled with a past of sexual assault allegations, but who are
fighting for a better America, who are free of scandal. And listen, if you made some edgy joke on
Twitter in 2013, I don't think you should be canceled. I've talked about this in my channel before.
But if you are somebody who has a string of sexual assault and rape allegations throughout the years,
you're gone from the Democratic Party. That is my opinion. That is how.
how we push for a better America.
One member of Swalwell staff said they quit immediately after receiving CNN's detailed list
of questions about the allegations.
CNN, and this is important, CNN found corroboration for key elements of each of the
women's claims, including the former staffer who said she was sexually assaulted.
Two family members and a friend said in interviews with CNN that she told them about
the alleged assault in 2024 in the following days.
CNN also revealed text messages.
they reviewed them that she sent two friends describing the allegations in the days following.
Quote, I was sexually assaulted on Thursday.
She wrote to one of her friends by Eric.
The woman also shared medical records related to her receiving STD and pregnancy testing after the alleged results.
I already know there are going to be people in the comments who have some weird incentive to say,
is this true?
Are there, is there a proof behind the allegations?
Yes, there is proof and that is why it's being reported.
For the woman who connected online with Swalwell over Democratic politics, a family member and two friends confirmed she told them last year about the incident where she ended up intoxicated in his hotel room.
CNN also reviewed messages between her and Swalwell, including a photo he sent her that matches footage of him during a CNN interview in her city on the night they met in person.
The women described a similar pattern of events.
Swalwell, who is married and has three children, showed close interest in their lives when they were in their 20s and finally.
their footing professionally, making them feel special and even starstruck.
Then, they said, he would send them increasingly sexual messages.
Many said they reciprocated and engaged in part because he was in a position of power.
In some cases, these inappropriate exchanges escalated to alleged unwanted physical touch or sexual assault,
often tied to episodes of heavy drinking.
The women asked not to be named out of fear of retaliation by Swalwell or professional consequences
for speaking out against him.
CNN reviewed screenshots of dozens of messages Swalwell exchanged with the women, many of which were flirtatious in nature.
None of the messages reviewed by CNN are sexually explicit.
The women said Swalwell generally sent more graphic messages via Snapchat where messages are automatically deleted after a period of time.
The allegations come as Swalwell has become a fixture on cable news and is ascended in the polls for California's competitive governor's race.
rumors about this misbehavior have been swirling on social media and have been kind of like behind the scenes in California for a while.
I have a lot of friends in California who are saying they're not surprised by any of this.
But I mean, I find it always surprising and shocking when people are rising to the top echelons of power and have these types of allegations.
Disgusting, sickening.
I'm going to leave it there.
Make sure you drop a like and subscribe to the atomography to fight for a better future to fight for a better America.
I love you all and peace out.
