Donald Trump just doubled down on his attacks directed at deceased director Rob Reiner and his wife, less than 24 hours after they were brutally murdered by their own son in their own home. Rob Reiner's death has now turned into a national political story only because the president of the United States is so uniquely divisive that he has to escalate the political atmosphere every single time he gets the opportunity. Sorry that I'm getting heated, but every single time something happens on the national stage, Donald Trump says the most vile thing possible, and people are just now waking up throughout all of my formative years. I talk about this on the channel all the time, throughout my middle school, my high school, my college, before I dropped out. I've seen Donald Trump make up conspiracy theories about Obama, not being born in America, about elections being stolen, and about Q&on and January 6th and about all of these despicable things, and now he's in the Oval Office. as his presidency is tanking, as his approval rating on every single issue hits the negative,

Starting point is 00:02:03 even immigration, border enforcement, and interior enforcement, and deportations. His approval rating is dropping because they overstepped. The economy, he has not made progress. He's done the opposite. He has ruined the economy when we were actually making progress at the end of Biden's term. Donald Trump is just taking us down to new levels. And in this clip, he's asked about the multiple Republican congressmen and women who have already condemned his statements.

Starting point is 00:02:29 Marjorie Taylor Green, for example, said, Rob Reiner and his wife were tragically killed at the hands of their own son, who reportedly had drug addiction and other issues, and their remaining children are left in serious mourning and heartbreak. This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies. Many families deal with a family member with drug addiction and mental health issues. It's incredibly difficult and should be met with empathy,

Starting point is 00:02:52 especially when it ends in murder. It's so messed up. Do you know how many Americans have dealt with some sort of alcoholism or drug addiction or mental illness in their family? And they have to take care of this person and sacrifice because they love this person only for the president of the United States to demean this entire situation and then also making fun of this entire situation. Of course, Donald Trump's original post, accused Rob Reiner of having Trump derangement syndrome. Thomas Massey, a Kentucky Republican, also said, regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, This is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered. Donald Trump has also made fun of Thomas Massey's deceased wife.

A number of Republicans have denounced your statement on true social after the murder of Rob Reiner. Do you stand by that post? Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all.

Starting point is 00:03:56 he was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned. He said he knew it was false. In fact, it's the exact opposite that I was a friend of Russia controlled by Russia. You know, the Russia hooks. He was one of the people behind it. I think he heard himself in career-wise. He became like a deranged person, Trump derangement syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape, or form.

Starting point is 00:04:22 I thought it was very bad for our country. Okay. If Rob Reiner had quote unquote Trump derangement syndrome and thought that Trump was a uniquely vile human being, then Trump's reaction to the situation has proven Rob Reiner right, making fun of somebody and their wife right after they die and saying they have TDS. Yeah, we have the right to be deranged about somebody who is doing this to our political landscape. But number two, if Donald Trump's logic, if his standard is that you can make fun and celebrate someone's death, if they are a political operator you dislike who spreads theories, conspiracy theories,

Starting point is 00:04:58 then wait until the day Donald Trump dies. That's not a threat, but I'm just saying. If we're applying Donald Trump's own standard that we can make fun of political operators who spread conspiracy theories who we dislike, then what happens when you die as a political operator? Obviously, your own standard isn't one that should be applied broadly in politics. Even if somebody in the United States is a political operator that you discharacter. agree with. And by the way, Rob Reiner wasn't a political operator. He was a director. What am I even

Starting point is 00:05:26 saying? Rob Reiner made movies. But Donald Trump is acting as if he was a political operator. If we were to grant that, then everything that does make America great, all of the democratic norms, everything that we have in our society is eroded. This is incredibly disgusting. And we're going to continue to cover that. But then Donald Trump gets caught in another contradiction that he doesn't even realize. He signs something and talks about no autopen, jokes about an autopen, No auto pens. None ever. We don't like auto pens, right?

Starting point is 00:06:01 Notice how no one laughs other than one random sycophant. But I want you to remember, Donald Trump has used the auto pen himself, number one. Number two, Donald Trump has multiple times said he doesn't know about a pardon that he's issued. He was asked about the Binance founder. He says he doesn't know the guy. He's never heard of it. He was then asked about pardoning the former president of Honduras, who had helped traffic drugs in the United States, Trump says he doesn't know. He has never heard of it.

Starting point is 00:06:26 Even after this in the Oval Office, he was asked if he would potentially pardon someone in the crypto industry. And you can tell, Donald Trump is basically convinced. He's convinced that this person needs to be pardoned just because the journalist asked the question. It is absolutely absurd. Take a listen. This week, Amani Keone, Rod Vigez, is going to federal prison for creating crypto privacy software. The case was started under the Biden administration, but your DOJ kept it going and secured the conviction. A lot of people in crypto are saying that this man should be pardoned. Are you familiar with the case at all, or would you be interested in looking at? I've heard about it and I'll look at it. Why you think he should be pardoned? Sounds like it.

Starting point is 00:07:06 Sounds like based on your question. Rodriguez, we'll look at that, Pam. Okay? Let's take a look at it. You'll have to tell me. I don't know anything about it. But Donald Trump just get almost convinced to pardon somebody. He even told Pam, let's look at it, Pam, Pam. They just get almost convinced apart in somebody because he was asked a question by a journalist. What the hell? He then gets asked about a potential deal between Russia and Ukraine, and he just, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Take a listen. Just a follow up there. An Article 5 like deal seems to be emerging without NATO membership for Ukraine. If such a security guarantee is offered, what incentive is there for Ukraine

Starting point is 00:07:46 to give up any sort of territory? Well, look, you have, well, they've already lost the territory, to be honest. I mean, the territory is lost. But in terms of security guarantee, we're working with Europe on it. Europe would be a big part of that. And we're working on the security guarantee. So the war doesn't start up again. Trump doesn't understand the stakes here. And the question is a really good one. If there is no long-term guarantee that Ukraine has sovereign borders, what incentive is there for them to, in the short term, just cede this territory, seed this land? and they should continue fighting unless they have long-term security guarantees. The reality is Vladimir Putin is a bad faith actor who will start a war and then pause that war when it's convenient and when it serves his political interest just so that he could relaunch that war about five to six years later.

Starting point is 00:08:38 He's done this multiple times. He invaded Georgia. Then he invaded Crimea in 2014. Then he waited about eight years. Then he invaded again in 2022. Then he'll pause and wait and then reinvade unless. less we can have Ukraine integrated into the EU or preferably NATO and give them security guarantees. Now, obviously, there's a lot that we have to go through before Ukraine can just join NATO.

Starting point is 00:09:00 There have to be certain standards. They can't be at war. There have to be democratic rules and guidelines. They have to be implemented. But it would be a great, great day if we could work toward security guarantees. But in order to do that, we need to inflict maximum damage on Vladimir Putin and get him to retreat immediately. Yet we're not doing that. We're allowing him to continue effing around because Trump doesn't understand anything.

Starting point is 00:09:22 At least when he's talking about affordability, he still doesn't understand anything. Take a listen. They don't mention the border anymore. Nobody talks about the border. They talk about affordability and we're the ones that are bringing the prices down. We were given the worst inflation in our country's history and we're bringing the prices down. This is so untrue. When Biden left office, the inflation rate was at 2.9%.

Starting point is 00:09:44 Today, the inflation rate is at about 3%. 3.1%. It has gone up, just barely, but it has gone up over the past 10 months. It actually went down to about 2.5, 2.6. Then, after the tariffs on Liberation Day, it went back up. I'm going to leave it there. Trump is BSing, and you know that his grip is slipping as he's making fun of Rob Reiner. I appreciate you all.
