Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Err-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r- July 22, 2000. And 25, hello again, everyone. Yes, for the third time today,
I say hello to all of you from this very studio,
from this very chair,
just as we sign off from our Ariane Ade program on Dazon,
just as we're about to walk out the door.
Backpacks on, goodbyes said,
plans for dinner being made, Dana White drops
in Breaking News.
And so as we do around these parts over at the number one unbiased outlet in all of combat
sports, Uncrowned, here at the HQ we have to react to said Breaking News because said
Breaking News is worth reacting to some juicy juicy
Blockbuster fights announced just seconds ago by the one and only Dana White and we shall begin with October 4th
UFC 320 Las Vegas, Nevada T-Mobile Arena a three pack of fights that makes the mouth water
Holy smokes. This is a tremendous lineup. We begin with the main event,
Magomed Ankelyev versus Alex Pereira too
for the light heavyweight title.
What a fight that is, of course,
it's the one that we wanted to see.
Since Ankelyev beat Alex Pereira back in March,
there was some talk of it happening in August in Chicago,
not to be, it will happen a month and a half or so later
in Las Vegas
Sight of the crime sight of the big upset win Frank alive over prayer and since then poking poking he doesn't want it
He doesn't want it. He doesn't want to fight. Let me fight someone else where they I mean, they're running it back
It's going to happen can't wait for that the build the run-up all the talk leading up to it should be a lot of fun
That's the main event. Co-main event. Expected this perhaps in December, but
what could you say about Marabdowali Shvili? Best cardio in the game in the
cage, best cardio in the game outside of the cage as well because his activity is
off the charts. He returns to action on October 4th, co-main event, UFC 320
against Corey Sanhagen. This is the one that we wanted. Marabdowali Shvili And I think we all thought, all right, maybe New York, November, maybe December, Las Vegas.
No, Marab says, let's get it out of the way.
Let's fight in October. And then we had a big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big,, all right, maybe New York, November, maybe December, Las Vegas.
No, Marab says, let's get it out of the way.
Let's fight in October.
Holy smokes.
Unbelievable.
Okay, so if my math is correct,
that will be a September fight against Shawn.
That will be a January fight against Umar.
That will be a June fight against Shawn.
That's four title fights in the span of 13 months.
Like 12 and a half months. That's an incredible pace.
Much respect, more power to him.
And then also on that card, also third fight, gigantic fight,
the returning Khalil Rountree who just fought back in late June in Baku tremendous win over Jamal Hill a
Beautiful performance in my opinion going up against Yuri Prochaska. Yes
They are giving us this fight a potential number one contender fight at 205 pounds on the same card in which the title is being defended
I love this fight. This is the fight that I wanted to see after Yiri beat Jamal back in January
in Inglewood, California. That was his last performance. I thought they would book them.
They didn't. They booked Jamal against Khalil Rowntree in April. That fight got scrapped.
They moved it to June. Rowntree proves his point, exclamation point, five round dominant
performance. And now these two are going to fight. That fight is going to be absurd. I think of all the fights announced today, that might be my going to fight that fight is going to be absurd.
I think of all the fights announced today that might be my favorite one. That fight is going to be absurd. The striking, the battle on the feet. I don't know if a single takedown will be attempted.
A single shot in that fight. I cannot wait for those two. Do not blink. Three rounds by the way.
I think. I don't think Dana announced five rounds and to be honest with two title fights above it, I would be surprised if it was a five round fight.
But that to me is a number one contender fight. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Then three weeks later UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. Sight of this weekend's card on ABC. This one of course a numbered show UFC 321 headline by the
fight that we all thought would end up on this card as well and it is the
undisputed heavyweight champion of the world the pride of Wigan the one and
only Tommy Espino, Espino, Tommy Espino, na na na na na na na. Tommy Espino, Espino, Tommy.
Defending his undisputed gold,
technically for the very first time
against the pride of France, the French prince himself,
Bon Gamin himself, the one and only surreal gun.
These two have been going back and forth
for the better part of two, maybe three years.
Well, this was the fight that we all thought
was going to happen in Tom's official first title defense.
And so it is in fact going to happen.
Tom wanted to fight in Abu Dhabi.
That was the sense that we got
when he became undisputed champion.
He didn't want to wait for New York.
Let's be honest, the taxes a little better
over there in Abu Dhabi compared to New York
for an Englishman, for anyone, if we're being 100% honest. And so he wanted to be active. He wanted to fight in October. He wanted to fight in Abu Dhabi compared to New York for an Englishman, for anyone, if we're being 100% honest.
And so he wanted to be active, he wanted to fight in October, he wanted to fight in Abu
Dhabi, it's closer to home, and so they oblige.
And you'll recall a few weeks ago I said, it's looking like Magomed and Alex, October
4th, it's looking like Tom versus Cyril, October 25th, and it's looking like
JDM vs. Islam in New York.
That would be the next pay-per-view.
Now, that hasn't been officially announced.
That hasn't been signed, sealed, and delivered.
But at this point, I would be surprised, considering how the chips just fell earlier today.
I would be surprised if it doesn't play out that way.
For now, though, four incredible fights, four amazing fights, all happening in the span of 21 days.
October 4th, pay-per-view, October 25th, pay-per-view,
one in Las Vegas, one in Abu Dhabi.
No issues, no notes, no real problems with any of these.
I said the one that jumped out to me that was like,
oh damn, we're getting this, was Yuri versus Khalil Raochi
because that was the only one that we weren't quite
a hundred percent like we all knew that Murab's next fight
was going to be in his Corey.
We all knew Magomed's next fight was going to be against Alex.
And we all suspected that Tom's first title defense, official title
defense would be against a real guy.
That was the only one that was out there that was like, we want it to happen.
We would like for it to happen, but they could go in a bunch of different ways.
And so when I saw that, I was like, yes, incredible. Love that fight. Love that
it's on the same card as the title fight. It should be a number one contender fight.
Love the matchup. Love the style of the two of them coming together. Their fighting styles
are similar in some ways because they like to strike, but very different in the way in
which they strike. Love everything about it. So tremendous stuff there.
No pay-per-view, by the way, in September,
the Noche UFC card was turned into a fight night
and perhaps we are benefiting from that.
They don't need a title fight in September.
It's gonna be Diego Lopez against John Silva.
And so they can move one of those title fights.
We get the second title fight on the October 4th pay-per-view
and then we get Tom. A lot of people are waiting for a UFC 319 co-main event. Who knows when if what that might
be but you're getting four incredible fights here announced just moments ago by the one and only Dana
White. What jumped out to you guys? What did you guys get excited about when you saw this? We were
literally walking out the door. I think what jumped out to all of us was,
we have to stick around and do a third show today,
but other than that, putting your fan hat on, Connor,
I see you itching.
What do you wanna say?
I mean, well, Rick reads that tweet about 45 seconds later
and I don't think we'd be able to do a show.
Literally, backpacks on.
What sticks out to me the most is that we're going to get
a yuri fight against Khalil Roundtree,
an Alex Pereira fight, trying to get his belt back,
and Tom Aspinall defending his undisputed heavyweight title
all in the span of like 22 days.
Oh yeah, and then Lobin, Murad versus Corey on that as well.
I mean, 320 is looking unbelievable.
They always stack the Abu Dhabi card,
so I imagine there's gonna be much more fights
to come on that behind Tom Aspinall and Cyril Ghan,
but as far as announcements go, the month of October is looking very
nice for the UFC. Rick? The beginning of the Tom Aspinall era starts in
October. Yes. That is my number one reaction. Finally we have pen to paper
Tom Aspinall has his marching orders and that is the beginning of the
heavyweight king's reign.
I love that, I love that.
And then he wins that fight,
and then he defends the belt against John Jones
at the White House on July 4th.
Now maybe you slip like, Buchacha in there,
maybe you slip Derrick Lewis in there,
and then he defends the belt again.
You're giving Marcus Buchacha a title fight
after one fight fighting the curtain-jerk around Saturday?
Rick wants the thumbnail for Boys in the Back on Thursday
to be like, Tom Aspinall's worst nightmare
and it's a picture of Butch Degg.
I actually proposed that by the way.
And us looking scared in the corner of each other.
Didn't get the 319 co-main, but honestly who cares
because how good the main event is in that one.
We'll get the co-main when we get the co-main.
By the way, I couldn't care less.
There doesn't have to be a co-main every time.
No, there doesn't have to be a big time,
five round co-main every time. Kostin versus Kopilov wasn't a be a co-main every time. No, there doesn't have to be like a big time, five round co-main every time.
Kosta versus Kopilov wasn't a blockbuster co-main event
and no one seemed to care.
Why does everyone care about this one?
I couldn't agree with you.
They care because it was TBD versus TBD on the graphics.
So they have to know.
I mean, I don't want to make this a 319 thing.
If they just had that fight and nothing else on the card,
I'm still there. I don't give a shit.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. who cares, we got the main event.
I see some people complaining about Volkov,
like unfortunately, I thought you won that fight,
but the judges didn't score it that way,
you have to give the shot to Sero Ghan.
Also Volkov lost to Tom Aspinall in the past,
in the very first round.
Ghan and Aspinall have been circling each other
for two, three years now, like talking smacks, subtle shots.
I remember talking to Ghan about Aspinall, he hasn't. Like talking smack, subtle shots. I remember talking to Gan about Aspinall.
He hasn't done anything.
Aspinall responding.
I remember when Aspinall was in France,
when Gan fought, like this has to be the fight.
This absolutely has to be the fight.
Jelton Almeida's out there as well.
Almeida's fighting Volkov, right?
That was either officially announced or reported.
Both of them have said that they've gotten the contracts.
I don't know if it's officially been announced,
but I would assume that's-
But they're doing the right thing.
Yeah, it's gonna be on this card,
so Volkov can just get the shot if he beats J.L.T.
Yes, yes, and I like that they're doing this more and more,
putting a top contender fight on the same card.
They're doing it obviously with the light heavyweight.
So there's three title fights.
Are all three champions going to still be the champion
when these fights are over?
How many, like what's the line at title changes?
I would set it over under two and a half.
Really? Yeah.
Two and a half?
Yeah, to the three title fights?
I think Marab will be it.
Title changes.
I was, okay, so you're going with retaining the belt?
Yeah.
Okay, I was thinking-
Yeah, what else would there be?
Well, I would say title changes.
So is there going to be, I was setting the line
at one title change, are there gonna be more?
It's still over two and a half.
What do you mean two and a half is still the number?
Bro, I've been sitting here for like seven hours.
Two and a half is the number.
My brain isn't working right now.
Two and a half is the number.
Title changes, how many champions defend their belts
over under two and a half?
I would imagine that Marab and Tom
are going to be sizable favorites
and Magomedovka Live is going to be a favorite.
You think Marab's a sizable favorite?
Yes, massive.
Massive?
Minus 450 or something.
I think they already came out with a lot.
As big as he's been in recent memory. By the way, he was an underdog to Usman. I mean Umar,
the Magomedov.
I think Marab was an underdog to Sean O'Malley the first time, was he not?
The first time, yes.
Not the light underdog.
Not in the rematch.
He was a big ass underdog to Umar.
He was a big underdog to Umar.
The books have finally caught up.
He was a sizable favorite against Sean,
he's going to be a one against Corey as well.
I think two of the three.
You think two of the three are going to retain?
Alex Pereira's demise, huh?
No, I'm predicting Marab retains, Tom retains.
Got it.
Alex Perreira gets his belt back.
Okay, all right, yeah.
Oh, you're right.
Oh, duh, he's not the champion.
Yes, yes, yes, he is not the champion.
Man, that's a big one for Alex.
That's a gigantic one for Alex.
Is it though?
Truly.
I think he wants it back.
I think he really doesn't like it.
That's not the thing though.
You're saying it's a gigantic thing for Alex. I don't agree. I think the wants it back. I think he really doesn't like it alive. That's not the thing though. You're saying it's a gigantic thing for Alex.
I don't agree.
I think a best case scenario is he loses
and now he's a heavyweight.
I don't think this is a big fight at all for Alex,
which is why I was secretly holding out hope
that he would be a heavyweight.
We'd seen the recent things about him
being quite heavy in weight, no pun intended.
And Tom Aspinall taking notice of that,
I don't think that was accidental.
I would have loved to see Tom Aspinall
already moving up to heavyweight,
but I do know as he has said to you,
as he has said to others, this is, he wants the belt back.
I understand that impulse, but I think the bigger fights,
the bigger days ahead are heavyweight Alex Pereira.
So I don't, even with a loss here, to me that feels like a recoverable situation heavyweight Alex Pereira. So I don't, even with a loss here,
to me that feels like a recoverable situation
for an Alex Pereira.
It goes, okay, Magomed had his number, he moves up,
and there's a ton of exciting things
in a division that needs him.
So I don't think it's-
I think it's more personal for him at this point.
Well, that's, yeah, that I agree with.
But in that case, if Magomed Onkaliyev wins,
then being a Yuri fan, you hope that he beats Hulil
and then he can get the shot.
Because if Alex Brerner gets the belt back,
I can't imagine they're gonna do Yuri Alex three.
Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of things that have to-
What, no Magomed rematch?
Like a third one.
Oh yeah.
A trilogy.
I guess they would do the trilogy.
Would they?
I don't know.
I don't know if they would.
I mean, who knows how the fight goes out.
They had to win 10 fights in a row or whatever to get the shot. I do see some do the trilogy. Would they? I don't know. I don't know if they would. I mean, who knows how the fight goes. Would they have to win 10 fights in a row or whatever
to get the shot?
I do see some lines for 320.
Magomed on Koliath.
Let me guess, let me guess.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, please.
Magomed on Koliath.
I wanna take a guess too after.
Minus 175.
Okay, Rick.
I'm gonna go minus 135.
Wow, Ariel almost on the nose, minus 180,
Monk of that Uncle F, plus 155.
Oh, love it.
What do you think of that, GC?
That feels steep to me.
Yeah, I don't know.
I'm biased towards Alex Pereira.
That fight was very close.
And what is Pereira?
What is Pereira?
Plus 155.
Okay.
Marabdavashvili.
Okay, okay, well now you guys got me a little worried here,
but I'm gonna say there's respect for Corey.
I'll say minus 310.
Okay.
I'll go minus 400.
Minus 335.
Bookmaker Helwani over here.
Wow, he's good.
I know nothing about gambling,
but I'm good at these line guessing games.
Okay, let's have one more Tom Aspinall versus your own.
What's Corey?
Corey is a plus 275. Okay, let's have one more Tom Aspinall versus Cyril Gaon. What's Cory? Cory is a plus 275.
Okay, okay.
Tom Aspinall, I'll say minus,
first thing that came to mind was minus 550,
I'll go minus 450.
I'll take the 550.
Tom Aspinall minus 400 Cyril Gaon.
Wow.
How funny, very good.
Okay, okay.
And what's Serial Gown?
Plus 300.
Hmm.
I feel like these numbers.
What about Yuria and Rountree?
Nah, no line.
Just the title fights for now.
Yeah, no, I get that, I get that.
Love all of these.
I mean, like I said, no notes.
There's no one that I think is getting passed up.
We all kind of suspected that these were the next guys
in line.
I can't lie, I didn't expect the Marab Corey this soon.
That to me is the biggest shock.
That to me is the biggest shock.
Just because he just fought in June.
He had talked about maybe wanting to fight in New York.
I think when we spoke in Las Vegas,
I was trying to convince him,
A, New York's the place to be, this is a great story.
It's your sort of return to your adopted home state,
your hometown, blah, blah, blah.
But Murab's a freaking beast, man.
The thing is, Murab is blowing through all these guys,
and let's just say he wins,
because I'm not saying it's a cupcake fight of feticomplia.
I mean, I have so much respect,
so much love for Kori Sani, and I think he will be,
I think Kori Sanihan is gonna be his toughest fight
since, when was the last time a Rob was in like a real?
Umar was not like an easy fight.
He lost the first two rounds of that Umar fight.
Yeah, I always kind of felt like
he was gonna figure it out.
I did too, but on paper,
like Umar gave him a load.
Rob Vellashvili has a chance to be the fighter of the year
if he's able to defend his belt in the Tour of San Angus.
That's three tighter defenses.
Easy, yeah.
Against elite, elite competition.
Magomed would be in the, I mean,
I don't even think there's anyone who will have fought
three times as far as the champion is concerned.
Drikus will be at two after the Hamsad.
I mean, unless he sneaks one in.
Unless he gets another one in. Unless he sneaks another one in.
Yeah, in December.
Tom wouldn't have fought.
JDM is gonna have two.
Now JDM, if he beats Islam, you know.
Okay, all right, if he beats Islam, then yeah.
Now we get into the conversation of like,
what is his two more valuable than Marab's three?
Ilya could potentially do another.
Volk might be comeback fighter of the year. Ilya might do another maybe, yeah.
Pantoja maybe one more, but.
Morav's in a nice position.
Very short list if he's able to beat Corey Sandhagen.
Yes.
I love that fight.
I love the fight.
I mean, I can't believe it's happening so soon,
to be honest, but I love the fight.
Love it on paper, love the matchup,
love the dynamic between the two of them.
Love the main event, I mean that's a great card.
That, I mean on paper, that's better
than the International Fight Week card.
Yes, those top three fights are fantastic.
The last one that happened at T-Mobile, way better.
Yuri and Alex on the same card is just like sign me up
and then you're putting Murat versus Corey, it's great.
And I like that they gave Tom his wish. I like that they gave Tom what he wanted.
He wanted to fight in Abu Dhabi, he wanted to fight.
I don't think he asked for Suril,
but I think they all sort of came to the conclusion
that Suril Gan was the guy,
that it was the one that made the most sense.
Have Almeida fight Volkov,
there's not a lot of interest in the Volkov fight,
he beat him already.
If Almeida could get by Volkov,
he would 100% be next in my opinion.
Would you have even considered Derrick Lewis?
I think they made this determination
before Derrick Lewis fought.
Y'all are sleeping on that wall.
Look where it does cost to Sergey Pavlovich
fighting Shanghai.
By the way, Derrick Lewis is probably like one away
at this point.
Oh, he's 100% one away. 100% one away. Which is crazy. He away at this point. Oh, he's 100% one away.
100% one away.
Which is crazy.
He wins one more by knockout,
he is getting the title shot.
By the way, don't sleep on my boy, Buccecha.
You got a big win.
By the way, he's not that far either.
I could see a couple.
I don't know if he can win a couple.
Let's see, but. Buccecha?
He's got a ranked fight this weekend.
No, I know, that's what I'm saying.
I don't know if he can actually.
He has to win.
We have to see him actually do what he's capable of doing.
They need all the.
They need them. All the bodies that they can actually. He has to win. We have to see him actually do what he's capable of doing. They need all the. They need them.
All the bodies that they can get.
Including Alex Pereira.
Black beast at the White House?
Could you imagine?
Black beast at the White House.
Could you imagine?
I didn't even think of that.
Dana says that he needs someone he can trust.
It's not like Black beast pulls out of fights.
He did have a back problem one time at the 11th hour, but.
You can just picture Derek Lewis talking about
doing it for America.
Oh my gosh.
Like defending it from.
Maybe that's what he said on the phone.
Maybe that's what he said on the phone
when he talked to Trump when he got a Trump.
It's all there.
It's all there.
It's all swirling.
Trump's a big Black Beast fan.
Clearly.
They saved it.
They saved it for the White House.
Shout out.
True or false, John Jones will be in attendance.
No, false, please. Where, in Abu Dhabi? Yeah, sit in the front House. Shout out. True or false, John Jones will be in attendance. No, false, please.
Where, in Abu Dhabi?
Yeah, sit in the front row.
No, let's not, no.
If the UFC did that, it would be promotional malpractice.
Really?
What, what?
It would be like sort of.
Yeah, the shadow is finally about to clear.
We are finally about to begin the Tom Aspinall era
of the UFC's heavyweight division.
Tom Aspinall is undisputed champion, he's about to defend his title against
Seregan, who I don't give much of a chance of beating him, and all of a sudden
you cut to cage side and the looming shadow of John Jones is sitting right
there, it will be absolutely idiotic for the UFC to do that. What you do is you trot
the winner out from Volkoff versus Jelton and have him sit cage side. And then, yeah, you do that for Tom turns to them
and he's just like, if, who's that?
Yeah, I don't even know this, Dremot.
Get him out of here.
If John Jones is going to get back into a feud
with the hot mask and all,
and that is actually going to be the White House fight,
you have infinite time to do that.
And the moment John Jones declares that
and the UFC gets behind it, it won't need heating up.
It will instantly heat back up.
You don't do it in October.
Okay, I'm setting the line at two minutes and two seconds.
Tom Aspinall's average fight time.
Thank you to our good friends over at Champion
for reminding us of that.
The gear is fantastic.
Does he beat Cyril Gahn in over two minutes
and two seconds or under?
If that's the line, are we taking the over or the under?
I'm taking the over.
I will also take the over.
I don't think Cyril Gahn will be as keen to engage
as some of his past opponents will.
How long did it take John to beat Cyril Gahn?
It was like, I think three minutes, right?
Three or four minutes, yeah.
I don't even know if it took that long.
First take down and choked out.
I don't think it was four.
It was 2.04.
Wow, that's crazy.
Wow, that's crazy. Shit, alright.
I was going to say it wasn't very long.
That's crazy.
Yeah, that wasn't very long.
I don't think, look, if Tom Espinel shot a double leg on Cyril, I'm confident he'd take
him down and be able to sub him relatively fast.
I just, I don't think Cyril is going to be willing to engage with Tom in the middle of
the cage, and so I expect it will take a little.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels like Cyrilogon's lack of grappling ability and his lack of ability
to have that one hitter quitter knockout power
is going to be problematic against Tom Aspinall,
a guy that can just finish you at any moment.
If Tom, so everyone's gonna compare Tom's performance
to John's performance against Serogon.
If Tom wants to try to outdo John's performance,
he is going to have to go, unless he gets it at 203 or 202 on the dot,
below his historic record-breaking.
I think Tom knocking out Cyril
will be viewed as more significant
than Tom submitting Cyril
or the way that John submitted Cyril.
The John one was just so shocking
because John's moving up to heavyweight,
we hadn't seen him in forever,
and all of a sudden he walks in there
and drops him like a sack of potatoes
after choking him out. Like, that was the, it in forever, and all of a sudden he walks in there and drops him like a sack of potatoes after choking him out.
Like, that was the shock and awe of the John Jones part of it. If Tom goes out there and ices Cyril Gonn, it will be viewed, even if it takes a round and a half, it will be viewed as very significant.
I pray that Tom doesn't feel any sort of pressure to beat that 204-minute mark as a comparison to John Jones.
No.
Because something that's a lot more important than finishing Zero Gone faster than John Jones
is beating Zero Gone, period.
You can't lose the fight.
You can't put yourself in harm's way
and slip on a banana peel.
No, but I can't wait.
It will have been 15 months between fights.
His last fight, I do believe, was July 27th,
up top my head.
It was this week last year.
I remember, because I was in Paris,
and he called me in the middle of the night to show me the hands in the gasoline.
It was the final week of July, and so this will be the final week of October.
A year later, it will be 15 months.
He did train to be the backup fighter for the Stipe fight, but let's be honest,
that's nothing.
15 months in between fights in the prime of his life,
healthy, ready to go.
It's unbelievable, played out this way.
But the good news is the long awaited return
of Tom Aspinall is around the corner.
I say around the corner, it's in three months from now,
but still it's great to have that date on the books.
All right, we're gonna keep this short and sweet.
It's been a long day here for the team.
It's been a long day for all of us. It's been a long day for all of us
It's been a long day for all of you as well, but we wanted to get on here to react
We wanted to get it on here to talk about it all my voice is going to shit
So great the good news is Frank will be back in approximately
77 would be 12, plus 5 would be 17.
In about 18 hours from now.
I drank that water.
Who's counting the time, huh?
No, no. Who's counting when you're having a great time?
But we'll have more to react to tomorrow on the program.
It is Wednesday, so on the nose is tomorrow.
Arihawani.subdeck.com is where you can leave your questions and comments
like I said tomorrow on the show Darren Till and Luke Rockhold in a
Virtual face-off can't wait for that plus Tony Ferguson is gonna join us
Maybe one of the fighters that we just talked about now. I have to work on those sorts of things or maybe we'll save that for next week
I don't know haven't figured it out yet
Like I said, it's been a long day but really wanted
to come on here and talk about these two blockbuster fights and I appreciate
Dana White announcing them just before we left I don't know if everyone shares
that sentiment but it's nice to get it out of the way and react fresh those are
the perks of staying a little longer a little later on Tuesdays because you
know we like to play two on
Tuesdays on this particular Tuesday we like to play three and I think the last time he did this
it was also on a Tuesday if memory serves me correct that is correct yes because I remember
us being here late and so perhaps he's looking out for us perhaps it's almost like he waited for
the Dzone show to come to an end and then broke the news hoping and praying that we can react
guess what it all worked out.
Lovely, lovely stuff.
UFC 320 and 321 have some blockbuster fights.
Attach to them.
We'll talk more about those fights tomorrow.
For now though, for one final time, good night
from New York City.
