Everyone, welcome back.
It's another episode of Inside Boxing.
I'm Dan Kenobio.
He is Chris Algeri.
We're presented by pbv.com,
an association with uncrowned Yahoo Sports Sunday,
October 4th,
which should be a great month of boxing.
We just watched Ben Whitaker flopping like a fish
from rounds 10, 11, 12.
That's some other boxing news.
It's October, like I just said.
So I'm really good fights this month.
I'm excited about that,
so we'll get it.
into previewing some of the biggest fights this month.
Hopefully we could put the AJ, Fury, Hearn,
Dana White Saga, and the rearview mirror,
and then focus on fights because this is inside boxing.
This isn't inside bickering.
You like that.
Hey, Chris.
I do like that.
That was good.
Nice.
Hey, Dan.
Nice play on words there.
That was a good one.
Inside bickering.
That's what it's been for the last month.
I mean, I want to also say this.
our views way up everywhere.
YouTube, Instagram, TikTok,
you want to go Facebook,
everywhere.
MySpace.
In the last month, over the last month,
and there hasn't been many big fights over the last month.
So that says to me that we're covering everything.
And Eddie Hearn versus Dana White Beef,
we're going to cover it, and we're going to give you the best analysis,
and people are going to look at it.
Yeah, either,
it's that or people just like bickering and it's it's going to be up everywhere or people just
figure out that we're the best boxing podcast in the world and they're starting to tell their
friends tell your friends gorilla marketing could you could just be it could just be the tipping point
you know I'm just like all right we just we hit that threshold and everybody everybody knows
where to tune in what if the next month we're talking about how great this month's going to be
the views plummet so it's like oh they only come to us for the bickering for the actual boxing news
that those guys suck that's what I mean that's maybe maybe people people actually
do like the bickering but i think we got a lot of fights this month i think it's going to be
another good month what are you working on there you got a little espresso got a little uh this is a
a uh an americano with coconut water and salt damn it's the difference between presaulgian
it's delicious you make that yourself or is that a purchase i did no this is this is this is homemade
right here in that ice that ice is clanking that sounds good that i like that i like that i like that
I'm a big ice.
I like pebble ice.
I almost bought a pebble ice machine off of TikTok the other night.
Oh, that's kind of cool.
But I don't know if I need another appliance.
I just got the espresso machine.
Got the brevill espresso machine in the apartment now.
Making my own espresso.
At a boy.
Ice espresso.
You can't be an Italian man without having an espresso machine.
Yeah, so now I'm into the ice.
So what I've been doing is this is very big.
Everyone cares.
I've been getting the ice.
I've been chopping it up myself.
Like an ice mix style?
Like a hammer.
You know, like the meat hammer?
Oh, well, I'm going to get you an ice.
These are things that are going on in my apartment.
I'm chopping up ice.
I'm making espresso.
Their neighbor's like, what does this guy do with him?
He's killing people over there?
What's going on over there in Long Island?
But let's get into it.
Ben Whitaker escapes.
And I used escaped proudly, loudly, and bigly.
Ben Whitaker escapes.
And accurately.
Yeah, that was a weird fight.
I mean, he was a complete control for gnawing rounds.
against Connor Wallace, an Irishman living out of Australia.
And then he falls off a cliff in the 10th round.
He's holding in the 10th round.
He is flopping all over the ring.
He's applying double-leg takedowns.
11th round, somewhat of a rebound there for Whitaker.
12th round, once again, cracked, hurt, stumbling all over the ring.
Referee, not properly counting knockdowns, referee, giving him all the time in the world.
I don't know what it is about this.
guy. I said he was a hype job, and I got a lot of pushback. I want to get your thoughts on it, too.
I have the actual definition of hype job.
A hype job is an excessive or exaggerated promotion of a person, product or event
that creates an unrealistic expectation,
often failing to live up to the actual quality.
We'll get all your thoughts on that.
But Whitaker does win.
He is now the IBF mandatory for Dimitri Bivall.
Eddie Hearn says, not so fast.
And when Eddie Hearn is saying not so fast, then it's not so fast.
Because I don't think this guy can beat any of the top tier guys.
I want 75. Your thoughts on everything.
Top tier guys. I don't think
I don't think he gets past another
Connor Wallace.
I mean, this was
I texted you early in that. I'm like,
I'm a man, Bay Winnecker's good. He looked really good.
It was like round three or four. I'm like, damn,
this guy's good. And I had come around
on Ben. I was glazing him last episode.
Like, I really like this guy. Just bring him over here.
He's got everything because that Richard Rivera
fight really opened my eyes because Richard Rivera is a tough
tough,
tough customer and,
and Ben blasted him out in two rounds.
So I'm like,
all right.
But,
man,
championships are fought in 12 rounds.
Gotta be a 12 round fighter.
He's not going to be to knock everybody out.
His power didn't look special against Wallace.
I will say this about Wallace,
though.
He's better than he probably appears.
He was throwing some tricky shots.
He punches with you.
Guys like that are dangerous.
Even when he was,
like,
really down.
and he started to get like domesticated around six or seven,
he kind of revamped himself and brought himself back and got himself back into the fight.
You know, they were saying like, oh, what if he started this earlier?
He really could because Ben was neutralizing him.
But once Ben started to, Whitaker started to slow down and Wallace was able to, you know,
just keep the pace.
He started to pull away.
And really, he really, he could have stopped them in that last round.
Whitaker was in a world of trouble.
I don't know, man.
This is another stumble.
for someone that is so highly touted
and has so much potential
and they're talking about making big moves.
He's just not ready for the big time,
which at 29 years old,
that means you're probably never going to be ready.
29 years old, 14 fights in,
a lot of hype around him.
I said that Ben Whitaker is a hype job
and I stand behind it
because the hype is massive for him.
We're talking about a silver Olympic medal
right into the pros,
going to fill up stadiums, not arenas, stadiums, multiple world champion future face of British
boxing.
That's the expectations for Ben Whitaker from promoters, his previous promoter with boxer and now
with Eddie Hearn.
And I don't think the hype, when I look at the fighter and I look at the hype, I don't
see them correlating.
I don't see them coming together because, like you said, these are hiccups, boxing is the
sport where everything.
faults come out inside of that ring.
He is unbelievably talented.
He has the quick twitch, the athleticism, but
something is missing. When the going gets
tough, I wouldn't say he looks
for a way out, but he loses composure.
He loses stamina. I went back
and watched that Liam, the
Cameron fight, and he's flipping him
over the ropes. And was that a way
out? Then he can't go on
with the fight. I don't want to spend too much time
talking about that, but that was eye
opening right there. He gets through that saga. He
has a rematch with him. Now we're talking
about a rematch with Connor Wallace to prove that he is good? So you've got to do it again in 14
fights. In 15 fights, we'll have two rematches to prove that he still has it or prove to everyone.
Like, no, no, this is our guy. Like, this is the next Anthony Joshua in terms of filling up a
Wembley Stadium or going on to become a multiple time world champion or going up to Cruiserweight
to fight Benavides, which Whitaker was talking about all week. So when you have these high
expectations and you're a fighter that's bringing up a Benavitas on a fight week and your promoter
is talking about filling up a Wembley Stadium and potentially fighting a Bivol.
And then you stumble like you did so visibly in that 10th round and that 12th round,
he's flopping all over the place.
He's holding on.
He's shooting double legs.
He lost everything.
He lost all his stamina.
I don't think he was actually hurt because I was looking at his legs and he was still game and
he was still firing back and especially in that 10th round.
I went back and watched a 10th.
I was like, are you being a little too harsh on this guy?
And in the 10th round, I was like, all right, he's hurt, he's tired.
But I liked what I saw.
He was still firing off combinations and he was still hurting.
Man, still throwing hard shots.
Yeah, still throwing hard shots.
12th round, I was like, whoa, 11th round, he bounced back pretty well.
He still lost the round.
But 12th round was it.
It was absolute disaster.
You didn't throw any punches.
You can't not see that.
You have to ask these questions.
And the reason why we're asking these questions, too,
is because he's a showboater, these high expectations.
Ninth round, he's dancing around the ring.
10th round, he's flopping all over the place.
Like, how was that elite?
Like, how is that going to beat a Bavall?
Don't even bring up Benavides, number one, because he's not going to beat him.
And number two, he's not going to cruise away.
And Benavides isn't coming down to light heavy.
So I think all the questions today and the questioning and the second guessing of this guy
are warranted because he has so much hype around him.
And I think he has so much talent.
Are we ever going to see the full thing?
I don't know.
I don't think so personally.
You know what he's lacking?
character.
Can't teach that.
That's what shows up in 12 round fights as character.
How do you deal with resistance?
And it seems like whenever he has resistance, he stumbles.
And that has to do with your character.
And when you're lacking that, especially at 29 years of age,
you've been tested and failed before.
And he's reliving all that.
You see he gets panicked when he gets pushed.
That's not the way you need to react in a championship fight.
And I have to agree.
you. I'm completely going
1.80 on him after yesterday.
You know, he's just, he's so
polar because he's so talented.
But also, you see him break like he did
in that last round.
And, you know, he's a guy that talks
a lot of trash, but also like, you're going to
do that, you're going to flop in the 12th round
when you're a guy who talks a lot.
Would you hear him afterwards?
Showboats a lot?
Said it was easy. No, I didn't see.
The fight was too easy for him.
Okay. Well, it didn't look like it.
Is he playing the heel role?
Like, is this his day?
Is he going to play into that?
Because there is a market for that.
It's always going to be a market for a heel, especially a British heel, especially over here, too, because they did bring him overseas.
They brought him here to the Barclays Center for a reason.
Like, they wanted another to add to the hype, but another plan for Eddie is to have him fight in the States.
You know, not just be a guy that's going to try to fill up Wembley and fill up arenas over there.
Let's bring him to the U.S.
We're going to have him win titles over here.
We're going to make them popular in the state.
are like, geez.
Brits have a lot of trouble coming over here, man.
It's historically hard for British fighters to come to the states and be successful.
It's rare.
But you're looking at Whitaker and you're seeing even the British fans are not really believing him
because he's skipping a lot of the steps that British fans and British boxing pundits really appreciate.
Same thing with the time.
British fans are smart.
British fans are smart.
They like to see their local guys.
get their Commonwealth titles, get their,
all those local little titles.
They used to,
they used to crush Ben about that.
Connor Ben,
like jump in the line.
Like he's,
you know,
he's not even British title level.
And they would,
they would say that their own,
his own fans,
his own,
his own countrymen.
Because British fans are smart.
They know this sport.
They understand how you're supposed to be moved.
And they see guys like Ben.
They see guys like Ben Whitaker,
guys like Connor Ben and guys like Atalma.
And they're like,
that's not the way this is supposed to be done,
guys.
they call it out yeah you took you knew nailed it as a just what i was about to say is those are the
last three kind of like british stars after joshua um and they're skipping the line and they're
they're putting a cart before the horse and you're falling the phone on their thing loves doing that
especially yeah like in british boxing is i wouldn't say it's yeah it is struggling it is struggling
because and looking struggling to make a struggle struggling to make in the next time right like they're
going to put on their fights, they're going to sell out, and they're going to fill up arenas,
and they're going to, you know, it's going to be a lot more popular than it is here.
But if in terms of, all right, who's the next Joshua?
Like, who's putting 80,000 at Wembley?
Whitaker was kind of tabbed as that.
But if you're going to skip the line, and if you're not going to do, like, the hard work,
yeah, he has the Olympic pedigree, the silver medal, and he came in with big fanfare,
the showboating early on in his career got him, uh, some viral moments, uh, that people
picked up on.
Yeah, Pedro Martinez is watching him and all that.
But like, you got to go through the steps.
You got to go through the steps.
We saw it with Atama too.
This wasn't an Atama-like meltdown, but it sure was close.
And it's kind of fitting how those two happened within about a month and a half of each other.
It was tapping Atama as the future.
And then Whitaker as well.
It's like, Pump the brakes a little bit.
It was actually close to an Atama-like breakdown.
He just didn't have Argovic in front of him.
Argevich is, you know, in a world title.
But yes, there's a world title eliminator.
But Connor isn't the same level as, as Philip Urgevich.
So if there was someone more dangerous in front of Whitaker, he probably would have got stopped.
So he was, he was looking really bad in that 12th.
So after the fight, they're talking about a rematch with Connor Wallace.
And I'm taking my head, like, what are we doing?
Rematch?
Like, what first of like, you win, you get a, it's a title eliminator, you move on.
But moving on is Billball.
He's not ready for Bivol.
And Hern is floating the rematch with Carter Wallace.
He's saying he's not ready for Bivall.
And like I said earlier, if Eddie Hearn is saying that because when Eddie Hearn believes in one of his fighters like a boots,
he's screaming from the mountaintops, bring anyone and everyone my way, our way for boots.
He does it with BAM.
He does it for his real blue chip, A-level guys.
Hearn doesn't see it in Whitaker.
He sees a guy that's very popular, viral.
like his entrance was awesome yesterday.
From what I've seen, or what I saw yesterday,
he filled up that arena,
not a stadium, an arena,
but still, still impressive.
Hearn doesn't believe in it.
So they're looking at this rematch with Cameron.
And they say it's a built-in storyline.
You know, if it was a 13th round,
who knows where it would have went.
Or forgetting the first...
With Wallace, you said Cameron.
Sorry, I have Liam Cameron here.
That's the other rematch that we...
These guys all kind of sound just like these names.
Connor Wallace,
Liam Cameron,
they're like quick, quick little Irish.
or European names.
You know, Wallace, the rematch with Wallace.
I talked about the rematch.
If it was a 13th round,
who knows what had the first nine,
where he's absolutely dominating.
And then Wallace has a few moments there.
But like I said early,
like we're going to a rematch, really?
Like, we've got to prove once again.
Like, oh, no, no, no.
Let's run this back to show you that he really is that guy.
So, like, I kind of think there might be a rematch in there.
If you come out and say the fight was easy and you got bored and that's why you know you had some trouble then and now you're going to admit by taking the rematch you're admitting that it wasn't it wasn't easy because if it was easy nobody would want to see it.
There would be no there would be no call for the rematch.
He's accepting that it was a tough fight then if he's taking the rematch.
And you got a guy that he's 29.
You know, he's got the silver medal.
You kind of need to move him quick.
Now we're going to take a sideways step.
It's a lateral move.
It's a lateral move.
Connor Wallace, you get past him, I say move on.
Don't fight the guy again.
There's nothing good comes from that.
He goes out there and he does a Liam Cameron.
Okay.
He just literally made a lateral move.
He didn't go forward.
He didn't go back.
He didn't go back.
Right where he was.
Nowhere.
Nowhere.
Doesn't make him ready for the next level.
He loses.
He might lose.
It doesn't, like, I have some people that are pushing back on my hype job tweet.
It's like, dude, he's not a hype job.
He's just, you know, he gassed out or he's still learning.
he's young. He only has 14 fights. He's not young. Yeah, he only has 14 fights, but he's
29. And he has all the hype, like I just talked about behind him. Oh, give him one more
fight with Connor Walls, then he's ready for the next level. Really? Like, he blows him out
in six rounds, or he goes 12. Now he's ready for a bill of all. After one more fight,
I just don't see that he has it. Like, it's fine. He just, I just don't see him beating the top
guys. The problem is that there really is. There's so many belts, and the light heavyweights
are kind of aging out
and he could win a belt.
He could get in there.
So I think we can agree that Ben Whitaker is not ready for Bill Vall next.
There's Bwazzi and there's Hutchinson.
The winner of that,
do you see Ben Whitaker beating Boatsey or Hutchinson?
Those are two tough fights.
Those guys are gritty, both of them.
Both Boatsey and Hutchins Hutchinson are very gritty guys.
Those are the kind of guys.
they're durable and they're gritty.
I don't know
Wittaker beats either one of them, honestly.
I think he's going to look great.
And then what happens when they up the pressure,
when they start ratcheting it up?
And listen, no knock on Connor Wallace.
Like I said, he's a tricky fighter.
He's not on the level of those other guys either.
So he's going to step up and fight those kind of guys.
He's, I don't think he gets past them at this stage.
Anthony Yard also mentioned in this one,
out there in age, chin not, a little suspect.
I think that's a good fight, actually, for Whitaker.
I think Anthony Yard, he's got name recognition.
He's always in fun fights.
He's tough as shit.
He can crack.
He, and he's long in the tooth, and he's been chinned a few times.
So I think that's actually a perfect, perfect guy.
You'd have to go in there and kind of...
We don't need, we don't need Connor Wallace.
No, I think both can agree.
The Wallace, that would...
I think that would be like a damnation of Whitaker.
Yeah.
I think it's embarrassing if he would do that.
because it's just another replay of the Cameron incident.
They have to be very careful because he's not getting Bivall.
He's not beating Bivol.
Better Bavis, not beating him either, even at 42 years old right now.
So go to the next level.
Like he's not beating Cown Smith, if Cown Smith can somehow get past.
Hell no.
Hell no.
So that's like, Calum Smith.
Calls Smith is a nightmare.
All right.
So like that's the championship level, right?
You would say Bivol, better be of Callin Smith.
The thing about 175 is very top heavy.
Yes.
It's not a very deep division
And there's a
There's a distinct gap between
One and two and three
You know there's one and two
You got Bivel and Better Biav
They're the two best guys in the division
And then the gap to three is a big jump down
Well it's funny you say that
Right now I'm looking at Ring Magazine's rankings
Of the light heavyweight
It's number three is Anthony Yard
There you go
It's a big drop off
It's a big drop off champion one Benavides
Benevitas
It doesn't belong in this discussion
I know he has a title there
He's never going to fight
heavyweight again. Never say never, but I'd be shocked. Kalmsmith 2, Yard 3. So I think we could
agree he's not been in Beval, Benavides, Kalam Smith. Yard, I think it's a good fight. If he beats
yard, then, you know, we can maybe consider it. Katayev, he fought him in the Olympics. Katteyev was
on copious amounts of PEDs. I can't really take that. Too serious. Boazzi. Naji Lopez,
pro box fighter. They're not taking that fight. That's a dangerous fight.
Willie Hutchinson
He spoke about that.
Najee, I think,
it's a good fight.
I think it's close.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, that's a, that's a good fight.
I'm trying to look on over here.
Hot Rock.
Hutchinson's a.
How about Hot Rock?
Who is battle tested and has come on as a fight.
Hot Rod's better now than ever.
He's really, really come on with some.
Say Hot Rod grown man's Whitaker?
Even though he's only six years older than him?
How Rod's tough as shit, too.
He's physical.
He hits hard.
And he's been battle tested.
He's been in tough fights.
He's been late in fights.
I was really impressed his last win.
His last two wins, really.
Because who do you beat last fight?
Well, I know he had the impressive win over Vodzik.
Vodzik, no, but his last win was...
What doesn't Ring put the fights on here?
Craig Richards.
Craig Richards is a very tough guy, and he dropped.
Stellar wins.
Stellar wins.
back to back.
For a guy of Rod Rod's ilk, 35?
Yeah, he's really come on.
So how do you move?
He's a guy that Zufa is really, really, really helping.
Speaking of Zufa.
Speaking of Zupa, can we just fast forward to the point where Ben Winnaker is with Zufa?
This is a Zufa fighter through and through.
I mean, I think one more performance like this, and Eddie will hand him over on a plate, just take them.
Can you do that trade the rights?
Well, we are trading the rights of Ben Whitaker to Zoufa in exchange.
Yeah, you guys can have Ben Whitaker and we'll take two of your cards.
I think I did one of those episodes a few years back.
Like promotions were allowed to do trades.
Back when, like, HBO and Showtime, I think we're still around.
And like, and we wanted to get like a Paci-L to fight a Showtime fighter, like a Bradley.
Or not Bradley.
But we are living in a world now where the doors have been busted down.
We can get all these fights.
Yes, I'm curious to see what's next with Whitaker.
He is a lightning rod for sure.
There are a lot of opinions on him.
The overwhelming opinion that I'm seeing, at least in my mentions, is that he is a little overhyped.
He's never going to get to that top level.
But he can be a champion.
There are a lot of paths to belts these days.
He's not beating Beval.
He's not beating Betterbev, not beating Benavidav, not beating Benavides.
And it's arguable if he could beat Boatsy Hutchinson,
a winner of that.
I mean, could he get a belt?
Yes.
Just like I said,
there's so many damn belts.
Will he reach the insane levels that Eddie Hearn spoke about?
No.
And that's just what it is right now.
So he's kind of like just in.
He's got to just go out and just prove everyone wrong and say,
you know what,
I am that guy.
Yeah, he's got to,
I mean,
it's tough because like we talked about this division.
There's a lot of gaps.
Like, I think I got Abuatsi so, that's a bridge too far.
And even him is, is a bridge from the championship level guys.
But yeah, I don't, I don't foresee him living up to the stadium filling, you know, massive star that Eddie was planning to have this guy.
And like you said, I don't think Eddie sees it either.
So.
I never heard of that.
What do you do?
What do you do with a guy like that then?
Shit.
You try to find, I don't even know.
Like, you got to throw him.
I'm in there.
Do you protect them? Do you protect them? Do you just keep them? Do you keep them at the arena level and just, but again, we spoke about the British fans and how smart they are. They'll figure it out. They'll figure him out too.
I think you've got to throw him in there. I think you throw him in there. The yard fight, I think, is calculated risk.
Yeah, I don't even think that's really throwing him in. I mean, if you can't, if you can't dominate a guy like Yard at this stage, just pack it up.
It is a risk, because Yard does have power and he is a name, but I think it's calculated in terms of he wins that fight.
wins over a lot of the public sentiment there.
Like, I would be impressed if he came in and shut down yard.
I still don't think he'd be hitting the top guys.
Very interesting to see what happens with him.
We've nailed everything what it comes to that fight.
The refereeing was atrocious.
Just that 12th round.
You could have, like, it wasn't going to change the scorecard.
And I don't think he was going to be out.
Like, it wasn't going to get counted out.
But it would have been nice to maybe, hey,
How about one 10 count?
Maybe two.
Like, even...
But also, I want to see how he deals with that, with that problem, that issue.
Like, now he's in his own head because a lot of this is mental.
This is a lot of mental stress showing up physically.
You don't get that tired in 12th round.
It was just because it was the 12th round.
And he was under pressure.
I would like to have seen how he would deal with that with a knockdown or score, you know,
that was scored against him.
Because then he's going to be in his head.
I want to see what that reaction would be.
be like. I think it would have been a good thing to see.
Poor refereeing.
Like I want to say, it's just negligence, bad refereeing, but then you have to think about
a side tendencies, a side treatment in that one.
We'll see what happens with Ben Whitaker next.
So we spoke about how it's October.
That was one of the bigger fights so far of October was Whitaker and Wallace next weekend.
We got Floyd Schofield and Lucas Body.
Let's run through some of the biggest fights in October.
we'll go in,
is it chronological?
Yeah, chronological.
Is that only for time
or is that for dates too, chronological?
Or is it just in terms of time?
It's still, I mean, it's still time.
Wow, that's deep.
No.
That was deep.
That was deep.
Yeah, you're right.
From October 3rd to October 10th,
there's a lot, it is time.
So it's several seconds,
several minutes, several hours, days.
You get to October 10th.
First, we'll start with,
Floyd Schofield, Lucas Body, October 10th.
This is for the vacant WBA lightweight title that Javanta Davis vacated when he went on his hiatus.
Good fight.
Body's got power.
I like it.
Schofield's got athleticism and power as well.
Haven't seen Schofield in quite a while.
We're talking over a year and a half almost when he sparked out Tevin Farmer.
That was his last fight?
That was his last fight.
Oh, man.
They're not capitalized on that.
At all.
It was electrifying win.
I was ringside.
It was an MVP card.
It was on the Jake Paul versus Chavez Jr.
Card.
Think about how much has transpired in the world in boxing.
Wow.
Since that.
That was that card?
Yeah.
And I believe Schofield got injured.
Also, this W.A. title, this WBA situation didn't make it easier for him to get fights
because he was in a very good position.
So he had a weight.
He's also Floyd, and he's had some questionable career decisions.
and so forth.
Same thing with Lucas Body.
Lucas Body fought in August of 2025 was his last fight against Roger Gutierrez.
I was there as well.
Wouldn't say he struggled, but, you know, he was a little tentative in that fight.
He's got the power.
He knocked out Ashton Silve, and he's kind of been riding that.
He was losing every minute of that fight against Silf.
Got a lot of power, body.
He's going to be a skill difference here with Schofield, but really like this fight.
Main event, Desone.
Saturday night.
Chicago.
It's, oh, Chicago, nice.
It's a good fight, and it's a deserved championship fight.
Both these guys, Schofield, obviously, on the back of that, Tev and Farmer surprised, K.O.
That's a title earning type performance.
No one's ever done that to Tev, and so that was eye-catching.
And then, Badi, he's a guy.
He's been right there for a while.
I'm glad he's getting his shot.
So this is a good fight.
And stylistically, the matchup is, I think, is going to be, I think we're going to learn a lot about both these guys.
I think Schofield's going to win.
I think he's going to win very impressively.
But he's got to be honest.
He's got to mind his P's and Q's.
He got dropped late in a fight with Tejas, Gron.
And that was a nice little test.
So I think he's ready for this opportunity.
But he's got to stay switched on the entire time.
Because if you're not switched on with body, you might wake up in the dressing room.
He's got power, man.
And he pulls the trigger nice, man.
He finds, he finds his spots like in that silphite.
Yes, he's kind of, that was his moment.
And he's rode it hard.
I work with him with him.
Yeah, an MVP, great dude, hilarious guy.
Real, um, it did it the hard way.
Like grew up in the Niagara Falls area.
Not good sparring up there.
You know, not much of a.
a boxing scene whatsoever.
Had to drive to Montreal to get sparring.
And even Montreal isn't the best sparring scene.
And then, you know, has taken it on the road.
Good, good for kickboxing in MMA.
Not great for boxing.
Yeah, he's actually told me he had to spar a lot of MMA guys.
And, you know, just doing it with, you know, the hard way, you know, beating
sylph.
And then not only that, just not getting the best training and sparring where he lives and
then going out to Vegas for a while and linking up with them.
So I will be pulling for the guy.
it's going to be tough.
May the best man win.
And then it kind of sets up some bigger fights at Welterweight,
which obviously has our guy, Abdullah Mason,
with the title.
A couple of vacant titles.
IBF is vacant right now.
WBA is, this is the vacant as well until Saturday night.
WBC is Zapata, who's an absolute beast.
And then Mason.
So it's Mason, Zepeda,
and then the winner of this fight will be the title holders,
with the IBF being vacant.
So Schofield, I mean,
Schofield should,
or I think Schofield should come out on top here.
Schofield versus Mason.
Schofield versus Zepeda.
Mason versus Zapata.
Like those,
that's three fun,
well,
lightweights in the wake of Shakur leaving the division,
Vivanta on an island
doing whatever he's doing,
some of the other welterweights that are now gone.
Like,
that's a fun little trio.
Yeah,
yeah.
And I like,
I like, you know, Mason's super young,
Schofield's young.
You know, Zabeda's older, obviously,
and he's,
but he's Mexican.
So he's always got that Mexican fan base.
So the light division is,
it's a fun division with a lot of guys that I think,
they're not going to avoid each other.
I don't think they're going to be like orbiting planets.
I think these guys are actually all going to fight each other,
which is,
which is nice.
So we can get a legitimate,
undisputed at, at 35.
And very well, maybe, maybe Mason.
So Javata Davis,
has a burner Twitter account
that everyone just kind of
like it's not confirmed but everyone just kind of
is in agreement that this is Javanta
it's not his
it's so weird
like it's so weird
but he'll be very active on there
and you know
over the last couple of days he's on there
talking about fighting Stephen Fulton
like all these fighters respond to it
and he goes he's going back and forth
with Shikort Stevenson over the weekend
this burner account
and then
Fulton
in the burner account, I agree to a fight at 135 for Giovanta Davis.
There's also, Javatha Davis is being linked to George Camposos.
Yeah, exactly.
Stank face from Algeria, if you're listening to the pod.
Why?
Why?
Why does George Cambosos keep getting brought up?
It's the gift that keeps on giving, Clark.
Oh, God, God.
I've never seen someone fail upward so brilliantly.
Yeah.
So I don't know what's going on with Davis.
We've been down this road numerous times.
I've seen so many rumors.
I've heard so many rumors.
rumors. He's coming back. He's not coming back.
So that's the latest on Javanta.
And just to Greer, of course, a little bit here.
Did you see that Lomachenko looks like he's going to officially come back at
130?
Yes. I have been hearing this for quite some time.
I didn't see that there was some headway.
But yeah, that's been talked about quite a big.
It's a tough time to come back to 130, though, bud.
I mean, Navarete, shock you fall.
What's our guy, Kikachi or Kakez?
Wait, you're messing up the name now?
I mean, I say Kikotcha and I heard that you said it was.
No, I don't look at me.
Oh, it's Kikaze.
All right, Kikotche.
He's looking at him.
He wants to be undisputed Lomachenko.
I think that's been well documented over the years.
Again, it's a tough way class to do it.
And also like, there's so many mandatories now, it's like not that easy anymore.
Like, he might be able to do it with, that's tough.
You got to fight Kikacha.
you got to then fight the winner of Navarete Foster.
Good luck.
I had heard that he was in a company, well, but also you got to remember, what's our Filipino
Homeboy, the one who beat Navarite and they took it from him?
Charlie Swares.
Charlie Swares.
Like, I think Loma's probably going to fight him, and that's not an easy fight.
What does that do for him?
He gets him into a mandatory position?
Yeah, because Charlie is the mandatory right now.
So he's waiting in line for the.
the dust to settle for Navaratei and no shock.
So either he's getting paid off Swarres to step aside or he's got to fight Lomachenko.
So Lomchenko's got to win that fight.
Then he's got to fight Kacchakach, and then he's got to fight Navaratei false.
That's three fights.
That could take two years.
I don't know.
I don't think, I think they'll fast track Loma.
He's got the- You also were supposed to come back this year.
Like we did a whole episode on this over the summer in May when Lomichenko said he's coming back.
And then the idea was that he was going to fight in November.
not fighting in November.
Is he going to fight this year?
I don't think so.
He better.
Better.
I don't know.
The Alamichenko's story came and went and said, all right.
But there are good fights at 1.30.
October 17th, Daniel Dubois, Fabio Wardley, too.
Big meaty,
throwing meat at each other.
It is a rematch of what is arguably the best fight of 2026,
which saw Daniel Dubois come out on top, stopped.
Fabio Wardley.
Not before coming off the canvas, not once, but twice.
Making it a thriller.
When both guys hit the canvas, that's fun stuff.
Heavyweight title, big implications here if Dubois wins again.
You got to figure he's going to go up against Cabell and some type of unification.
Wardley looking for his lick back.
Get him down twice.
Good fight.
With the first punch he landed.
Right.
And ended up getting messed up.
Dubois down pretty, pretty hard.
Yeah, face got smashed the jet.
All right. I was I was with my local secret weapon, my boxing historian friend Jake Benachi last night,
and we were talking about this fight. And it brought us back to heavyweights in the 90s.
That's what that fight felt like. Yes. 90s, 90s heavyweights were guys went out guns blazing. No safety first,
no working behind the jab. I'm coming to knock your block off because that's what people want to see.
That's what this fight was. And that's what we're expecting in the second.
one. And I don't think these guys can do it any other way. I don't think. I think that's just a way that
they are hardwired. These guys are absolute gladiators. They're going to go out and they're going to
try and knock each other's heads off. I love that about Wardley. He's just an athlete. He's a big
competitive guy. He's super athletic. He's new to this sport, but damn, he's good at it. And he can
punch with that right hand. So he's going to go out there. I think if he's a little more disciplined,
he actually could get the win. But at the end of the day, the issue with what lost him that fight was
experience and composure.
And Dubois showed both brilliantly.
It took the name.
Very, very classy, very, clever use of his jab.
Dubois, not really known for being a clever guy, but he was very, very clever that night.
Landing good jabs throughout, very, very sneaky punches, punching with you, and just broke Wardley down and took him into deep waters because he's been there.
Dubois is a young guy, but he's been in deep with some top level ops.
So, yeah, I'm super, as you can tell, I'm super excited for this time.
I'm very excited. It's the highlight of the month on October 17th.
And it's funny you talk about them kind of throwing caution to the wind, throwback, you know, blood and guts brawling.
But I think it was the jab that won Dubois this fight.
Yep. Mm-hmm. 100%.
I mean, he was still in there.
You know, he was cooking all night.
But yeah, it was absolutely the jab that was when the fight.
But if you watched that fight again, I don't know if you watched it recently, but you can see Dubois' jabs landing.
Funderous.
Consistently throughout the entire time from round one.
It was just landing.
It was just he could not miss the thing.
And Wardley's tough as hell, but you can't take that many battering ram jabs from a guy like Dubois.
Yeah.
And the jab was missing in the Ussick fights from.
Yes.
It was missing.
Totally miserable game plans.
And I feel like, you know, he's been through it all, Dubois.
He's been through it all, literally.
You know, he was stopped, eye shut.
The Drasso win, the Uso win, the Uso losses, the ups and the downs.
Hold a quitter.
Hold a quitter.
Those three wins in a row.
was questioned.
Yeah, after the loss to Joyce.
So, I mean, questionable fashion sense gets brought up a lot, too, with this guy.
That's the least of it.
His interviews are now become, like, amazing.
Like, the whole thing with Andre wouldn't shake his hand or wouldn't shake Wardley.
Worley's trying to play the mind games, too.
Wardley is an astute, clever guy.
You can just tell.
He reads very many leatherbound books, and he just has that look to him where he's wearing the three-piece suit, Woodley.
It is, he goes to the tailor.
It fits perfectly.
Dubois is over on the other side.
His sleeve is shooting out.
He's wearing, you know, bicycle pants with a leather jacket over.
It doesn't give a shit.
So that, that look is legendary.
The bicycle pants, when he showed up to that event, he was doing like, he was in, like,
spandex and a leather jacket.
Yep, spandex.
Spandex and leather.
You don't care, bro.
That's our heavyweight champ.
He's ours.
he ain't the sharpest tool
but he's our tool
Daniel Dubois
that's what this fights about
baby can't wait for that
I'm literally I just Google
Daniel Dubois fashion
who's coming up
no it's it's a lot of photos of him wearing
questionable outfits
even the suits too like yeah I remember him doing
yeah they don't fit the suit don't fit the shirt
you know he's wearing like the you know the
tuck the French cuffs but he doesn't have him folded
or cufflinks in them.
So they're just popping out.
It's almost like a speed.
Yeah.
It was respect to.
You don't care.
I shouldn't be laughing as such a badass guy
because he is a total badass.
He's an absolute freak of nature in the ring.
So I can't wait to watch this one again,
how it all goes down.
Could be the end for Wardley.
And it could be the beginning.
Unfortunately, yeah.
It could be the beginning of some unification fights.
Do you see, Ajit Cabell?
Uh, he's made his fight.
Agit.
Agit.
Fucking, fucking.
Mugit.
I called him Agit.
I called him Agit for a long time.
I was got such a good.
I like, both of his names are so cool.
I was like, Adjit, so cool.
And then I'm like, oh, it's Agit.
Shit.
Agit Cabell.
Still cool names.
Is coming back and is selling out arenas once again.
He's fighting Nelson Haisa in Dostorf.
They've already sold 25,000 tickets.
Wow.
Already.
Wow.
We saw the scenes.
last time when he knocked at Kinniba
and what was, I think,
the best crowd of 2026.
Agreed.
And remember how excited we were?
We were like, we should go to Germany.
We need to go to one and his fights.
It looks like such a time.
He's fighting an Albanian heavyweight
who's 25 and 0 with 23 knockouts.
Nelson Heise.
Why do I know this?
I know this name Heisa.
25 and no, 23.
I saw somewhere that he is just,
with the WBC is way down in the rankings.
I don't know.
how they found him.
I don't know.
What makes him step in as a mandatory?
42 years old.
Yeah, he looks it.
In the photo, I'm looking at.
The photo is a guy.
He has not fought a single person.
68 rounds.
42 years old.
When your rounds and age.
Match.
I mean, he knocks everyone out.
He's got 25 fights and 68 rounds.
Second round knockout, third round, knockout.
Second round, three, one, three.
Oh my God, he's fought absolutely no one.
Dude, his last...
Not one recognizable name.
But he's blowing these guys out, pause.
I mean, round two, round three, not stop,
it's round two, three, one, three, two, one, two.
Doesn't matter.
He hasn't fought his...
How the hell does he get this fight?
I think they just need...
I think they need Cabell to get in there, sell some tickets,
stay busy, wait out the winner,
of Dubois in Wardley.
Cabiel fought
Mark Moodov, Frank Sanchez,
and Gilles Zhang back to back to back.
And then he gets Caniba, which actually
in hindsight is actually a good win,
especially watching Caniva box Andy Ruiz's head off.
And now this guy?
Boxing, baby.
Yeah. Boxing, I'm still going on to tune in. I'm like,
I love the guy. Yeah. I love watching
him fight. It's 1128. You want to go
to Germany? Real quick. Just
just go? I mean, that's a perfect time
the go. It's like right up to Thanksgiving.
Still technically October Fest? No, it's not
October, but do they still... No, no, October
Fest ends. No, October Fest.
October Fest is actually starts since September.
Which people
over here don't ever realize. It's going to be over.
I think it's over next weekend.
Damn. I watch it in October.
For the October Fest.
It's like two months.
Two weeks into that.
Same night,
Sebastian Fondora
is fighting Hadribage
over on TNT.
this is another questionable mandatory.
Hadri Baj is in our comments on social media.
I've seen his comments.
No offense to you.
Because I'm always like,
yo, Fondora needs to fight boots.
He needs to fight Kelly.
And then he'll pop in with the comment.
Well, he has to fight me.
I was like, yeah, you're right.
Listen, bro, you did what you had to do to get to this position.
Like, we want to see Fondor.
He's a good little fighter.
Cool guy, too, really cool guy.
He came to a ProVox show a couple years ago.
And I chatted with him real quick.
And then I called his last fight when he earned this shot.
And he's been working with the consummate prototype Fondora, which is Michael Fox.
Oh, yeah.
Michael Fox is a 6-foot-5 Southpaw from the DMV area.
Great guy.
I want Fox to get all the chances he gets.
No, I'm just saying.
I want him to have his own career.
And I want him to reach the heights that he wants to.
But as long as Sebastian Fondora is fighting,
he'll have a job.
He'll have a job as a sparring partner for that opponent.
I was literally talking to him yesterday.
He's actually a very good commentary.
Yeah, he's great.
Love it.
He's a very, very, very good commentary.
Yeah.
But he, yeah, yeah.
He's had a couple, couple bad robberies.
But I was talking to him yesterday, and he said he's been sparring with Hedribat,
Hedribiash.
And he's, he's, he's good.
I know he is.
He's got a good little style.
But Fondora is Fondora, man.
This guy is, he's different.
So I think we both know how this fight's how it's going to go.
But, uh, Adra Biasch, best of luck, man.
It's, he is a good little fighter.
I do like the guy.
It's his chance.
This is on TNT.
This is the October TNT fight night.
It's Fondora, it's Figuero, it's Figuero, and it's Charlo Mazodier.
We just saw, um, Diego Pacheco against Darius Fulgum announced for November's
TNT.
Cool fight.
So now we're a couple of months.
months into this TNT deal.
First fight, first main, I'm going to go by just main events.
First main event was Abdullah Mason versus Bell.
Very good fight night.
Turned out to be a good fight.
Started off with a bang.
That's the right guy you want to start it with what Abdullah Mason.
Second TNT fight night main event, Roach versus Sepeda.
Great fight.
Reminded me of HBO boxing after dark.
This is what T&T is all about.
Third, September edition, was the Ruiz Caniba Fight.
Now we're starting to see a little bit of a decline in-slip quality.
Slip-age.
In quality that's September.
October is the Fondora main event with Brandon Figueroa and Jamal Charlo.
Name recognition for sure, but not what I want to see.
Not matchups.
The TNT deal.
November.
Not the match-ups you want.
Exactly.
November is Fulgum versus Pacheco.
I don't know what December is.
But we're seeing a little bit of a decline here.
And what we're seeing is the zone slash TNT playing nice with all the promoters giving them
all one slot. Everyone gets one. No cross-promotion yet. So the jury's still out. I like it. I've been on
record saying I really like the TNT. I like the production. I like the pregame show, all of that.
Now we're seeing the boxing politics come into play where matchroom, you get a one, top rank,
you get one. PBC, you get one. Instead of making the best matchups with the entire pool that they
have with the zone. Yeah. I mean, it's an interesting experiment. No question. I want to
better. But I agree. I think I think you really got to put your best foot forward. If you know,
you're just getting this one, you don't know when the next one's going to be. It's going to be a couple months before that happens. And I know it also comes with timing and when guys are available when they fight. But yeah, I don't like when you come in like a lion and leave like a lamb. You know, you've got these first two main events were great. And then it was just like, like, decline, decline, decline. Not bad fights, but when you have a stage like that, you have an opportunity to get way more eyes to our sport. Get you.
Put your best foot forward, man.
Make a banger.
Make a good fight.
Make recognizable names fighting each other.
We're not really seeing that.
We're seeing names on cards, but they're not in across the corners from each other.
You know, and the Bacheco-Folgum fight, I don't know.
I like the fight, but I feel like that would be like a, like a co-main.
So I mean.
You know, it's not a main event type fight.
This isn't like what we, this isn't what we, this isn't what I, like, you
want to put the best foot forward. I'm watching playoff baseball on TBS and TNT right now.
And they're playing the commercials nonstop for TNT's the fight. The pushing Fondora heavy.
That's good for Fondora. And Fondora, I'm like, he's like a perfect TV fighter. Like you're
flipping through the channels and you see that six foot five hundred fifty four pounder that throws Tommy Hearns missiles.
Yes, that's going to get eyeballs onto it. And that could make his potential fight with boots even bigger down the line.
I understand that. From that point, that standpoint, it's good. But like I want to see better.
matchups.
Figaroa's on that card.
He's fun.
He's always fun.
He's always fun, too.
It might end up being a really fun card with figurea throwes a ton of punches and this is
his first fight since the Nick Ball stoppage.
He's fighting Tomoka, Kameda, who's always game and always ready to go.
Oh, Kameda's, that's a pretty good fight, actually.
Kameda is good.
He's tough.
He's been around the block.
Yeah, that's a good fight.
Figurewa might lose that fight.
That's a tough fight.
Interesting.
That would be real.
You never know with Figuero.
I mean, he's had some unreal ones with Nick Ball.
Like, I didn't have him beating Nick Ball.
I picked Ball to win that one, and he stops him in the 12th.
Jamal Charlo, I've no idea what to expect from Jamal Charlo.
I don't either.
168.
I don't, yeah.
It's an opponent either.
And I'm just kind of out on Charlos.
I just, just so much start and stop.
And it's hard to get behind them and have any type of, like, why would fans get behind them?
Because they just, I just don't think they take the sport serious anymore.
And there's no matchups for them that I'm, like, salivating for.
And they're also handed a lot of chances.
It's over.
A lot of chances.
Like, this is a paid day for him.
And, like, there's, I always say it's all the time.
There's no path for him after this for bigger fights.
Like, it's hard for fans to get rally around a fighter when, you know there's nothing really down the pipeline.
Like, maybe the Caleb Plant fight.
but I feel like Keough plant's like semi-retired.
Yeah, there's been no movement there.
I don't know what plant is up to or plans on doing.
I mean, when you've made that Canelo money that he made, you know.
He's done.
He's chilling.
Got Jordan Plant.
He's a beautiful wife.
Very easily, very easily could be done.
Got kids.
Go go happy being a dad and spending that Canelo money.
Hilarious guy on my, you know, like the, I think, what is it,
TikTok or Instagram does like the memories,
stuff that pops up.
And like two years ago, three years ago,
we were in Vegas for a Canelo fight
when he fought later in September.
And Plant was there and I did the mean tweets
with Caleb Plant.
I dug up all those nasty tweets people say about him.
He was such a good sport about it.
Like there was some pretty nasty ones in there.
And he read him out and he was,
he read him out in front of the whole crowd.
His wife was standing right there.
I had like secondhand embarrassment for him
as he was reading them.
And I,
And I got to repost that because that was really good.
The three best or three really good fights at the end of October,
we probably could have went backwards to preview these.
October 24th, Dalton Smith, Alberto Puello.
Important fight, good fight.
Title fight at 140.
I like Dalton Smith a lot.
This was a rescheduled fight.
A couple months back.
Yeah, they were supposed to fight back in May, I believe.
So Dalton Smith in Orlando, Carrebe playing pickleball, and he was dominating.
That's not surprising.
Do with that,
but you will.
Do with that what you will.
That information may or may not
helping your pick, but.
Poiloh's an interesting fighter.
Kind of a spoiler.
Tricky.
Tall.
Tricky, tricky.
Doesn't do anything like outstanding,
does a lot of things good.
Wins on margins.
He's a margins fighter.
He'll,
he's,
I mean,
he's got a huge win against Gary Antoine and Russell,
so.
Forget about that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that was a fight.
Talk about winning on
margins. Just, just tricky,
stays in there. He's pesky.
I like the word that
Pauli Malinagia likes to use. He's pesky.
He is pesky. I like that fight. Smith is a
kind of a, he has
a reputation of being a brawler bomber,
but he's really, he's really a little bit of
both. He went in there and took out.
He took out. What's his name? He's a,
what do you take out? Matias.
Matias. He's, um, he's a, he's a, he's a
legit boxer puncher. He's got good fundamentals.
Um, but he's, he's got that dog in a man. He's,
he, um,
He, I mean, a lot of British fighters are tough, but a lot of times they'll go to their boxing first.
He reminds me, Dalton Smith reminds me more of like an American fighter.
Like, he's, he's got that in him.
He's fan friendly, and he's very talented.
I think he fits in really nicely at the chance at 140.
Best fight of October, Emmanuel Navarite versus Oshackie Foster, three titles on the line and the Ring Magazine Belt,
1 versus 2, Navarrete on pound for pound list. Foster, knocking on the door of the pound for pound has some great wins and a lot of momentum.
You could say Navarrete is coming off of a career best performance in his last win.
Stylistically should make for a banger as well.
Very, very, very, very, very tricky fight.
Hard to pick.
I'm not making my pick yet.
But this is the one that fans are rallying around.
This is the fight that fans are telling me, you know what?
I'll deal with all the Zufa nonsense and maybe our sport is going to be taken away from us by these corporations and Eddie Hearn and Dana White going at it because you know what, Dan, we got Navarite and Foster later on this month.
And that makes me – no, I'm serious.
Fans are grateful for this matchup.
It's a real hardcore fans delight this matchup.
Yeah, and, you know, again, I cannot talk about this fight without bringing up our guy, Charlie Suarez.
I got a short end of the stick.
So I'm going to put his name out there into the ether as much as possible.
But that being said, I love this fight.
And if you got to push Charlie to the side to make this fight happen, at least it's a good fight.
Because this is an excellent, excellent fight.
This is a legit number one versus number two in a weight class where they're both excellent fighters.
They're both near at their prime.
And stylistically, it's a very interesting matchup.
You've got Navarete, who is a whirling dervish, two-fist.
He's a twisted puncher who just comes forward and throws bombs, bombs away from every angle.
He's got tricky, good defense.
He's durable as hell.
He's gritty.
He hits the head, the body.
He uses the jab really well.
He's got really good jab, surprisingly, even though he's such kind of an awkward guy.
Always looks off balance, but never gets hit.
And then you got Roshaki, who is just a beautiful boxer, counterpuncher, catch and shoot.
He can move.
He can jab and he can knock you out late if he needs to.
he's one he's he's he's a cardiac kid he'll he'll fall behind and then he'll find a way he'll drop you
he'll put you down or put you out um he's a guy that has a varied skill set and uh sometimes
gets a short end of the stick because he's a guy that kind of likes to win on margins as well
but um but he puts it all together it's a beautiful thing to watch this is a this is a very
very good fight we will have way more in-depth analysis of this fight when it comes to fight week
It's October 24th.
Should be a great one.
I think the winner of it is definitely has their spot on the pound for pound list.
Like cemented.
Foster is not going on the ground.
He's like 10, right?
Yeah.
Foster is like if there was like a fifth top 15, he'd be 11 or 12.
Yeah.
If Foster wins this fight, he's probably going to shoot like seven or eight.
He deserves.
This is a career defining win for Foster who's had an amazing career, who's started off a second fight of his career.
first five, he lost one of them,
went to prison,
came back, lost some fights,
got dropped from promoters,
got signed by Top Brank,
just re-uped with Top Brank.
That's a boxing career right there,
ups and downs.
And he's a guy who loves,
he loves belts.
He loves the belts.
Doesn't mind paying the sanction fees.
Told me himself,
this belt changed my life,
so if I got to pay a tax on it,
I'm going to do that.
We need more Shaki Fosters
in the world, man.
I appreciate.
his input.
I appreciate the way that he is.
He's like a machine.
He's good at everything.
I want to see Oshaki Foster versus...
He really can do everything.
I want to see Oshaki Foster versus one of those AI robots.
The ones that are really quick that you can't hit.
Because I feel like that's how he fights Foster.
He fights like a robot with an unreal jab.
And he's going to have to...
He's going to be put in some difficult situations.
It's Navarete.
Yeah.
If Navarete has his way.
Navarete forces his way.
And Navarate,
that's a motherfucker.
He has a really tough
that's a great way
to explain him.
Yeah,
he's a motherfucker.
You think he's got the,
you think he's got
the, um,
dietitian for this fight?
He better.
Has to.
Has to.
Because, I mean,
he looks so good
that last fight.
Um,
what was it?
Sugar Nunez?
Sparked him out.
Yeah.
He attributed it.
Dominated.
He attributed it to,
uh,
finally hiring a nutritionist.
Yeah,
you're,
you're a three division world champion.
Or,
you know,
two division world champion.
Now you get a nutritionist.
amazing. If he did, if he did not keep that nutritionist, he's an absolute fool. He's back
to eating burritos, enchiladas, McDonald's, and out. He's an absolute idiot. I got a, I got a funny
story about about Navaratee. So this is, when did he fight dogbo? I mean, I was like 2017.
Yeah, like seven, seven, eight years ago, right? I'm hanging out with my friends. It was right
after one of my comeback fights. And I went to my buddy's house to watch to hang out in
barbecue. We were watching the Navratte de dogbow fight. And dogbo at the time was like,
that was the guy. Dogbo was a badass. He was awesome. Yeah. Great, great guy. And a hell of a fight
of really fun. And my friend goes, you know, who he's trying to bet. He's like, who's, who's
winning this fight? I'm like, dude, Dolbo is a beast. I'm like, I don't even know who this guy
Navaretei is. And Nafidei puts belt to ass the whole time. So now my buddy, whenever comes up,
the buddy goes, oh, is this another dog bow now? Is this another dogbo bet?
Bro, because you just never know what Navarice is going to show up.
No.
Does everything wrong?
I mean, does it like...
Everything.
Like I said, he looks like he's off balance all the time.
He looks like he's drunk.
He's like punched, like flying over and just cracking you.
He has a little bit of margarito in him, but like, way more wild.
Yeah, a little bit.
Way wilder.
And way better defense.
He's really hard to hit.
Like, never right.
It's such a good fight.
And then on Halloween night, they're still going through with this.
Kanoa Averiz versus Christian and Billy.
They put tickets on sale.
They made the formal announcement.
It's going down in Ria.
there is no undercard announced.
They finally signed up for Vada drug testing
in it's October.
And the tickets are extremely cheap
because of what's going on over there in Saudi.
You're talking like $100 is the most expensive ticket,
as low as $13 to get in.
How much is the plane ticket?
A plane ticket is cheap?
I don't know.
Good luck getting into Saudi.
Maybe we should go.
Not crazy.
We would never make it.
out of there for a number of reasons.
The airport is getting
bombed. The report of that
there's turmoil
over there in the Middle East.
Just move
the fire. No, bro, they're doubling down.
Turkey doesn't not...
Move the fight. Turkey doesn't concede.
Why risk it?
Turkey does not concede.
We're doing this fight on Halloween night.
We're doing it in Riyadh.
US government is putting out
advisories not to travel to Riyadh.
they're putting our king in jeopardy, Canello.
They're putting him in...
Yeah, I'm surprised he's going through with that
because he could very easy be like,
no, we're not doing that.
We're not going on there.
Let's move to the fight.
60 million, 70 million for this fight?
Absurd.
Absurd.
He says he wants his last fight to be at the Azteca Stadium
where they played the World Cup games.
That's cool.
That's cool.
This is not cool.
Fighting in Saudi Arabia at 3 in the morning,
is not cool, Kinaloa.
I think you're one of the coolest fighters ever.
I love meeting up with you.
We hung out briefly in the summer,
and it was amazing.
Catching up with you,
I'm a big fan of yours.
But I will call this out.
I hate that you're fighting in Saudi Arabia.
Hopefully, this is the last fight you have there,
because how many more does he got in him?
If he wins.
Even if he doesn't win, but he doesn't win,
he's fighting Jake Paul.
Yeah, we talk about, you know,
Canello hours fight weeks and how awesome they are in Vegas.
And you're right.
I'm thinking about a world boxing without Canello when we don't have those weeks.
And it's a sadder place.
I think a lot of fans are kind of conceding that he's, they don't even think much of this
matchup.
They just, the Crawford fight was the end for him.
I don't think so.
I think this is a tough fight.
No, no, I'm not saying.
I believe it's a tough fight.
I'm looking forward to the finish.
People aren't as excited.
People just like, when he lost the Crawford, there are people out there that
said that's it. That's the last of Canelo. I don't care about his future fights.
Like he, he lost that night and we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. Because in Billy's
Taylor made, oh, 70 punches around for Canello. When I saw Cannell this summer at Ariel
Juanis studio, I said, hey, and Billy, dude's face lit up, and then he started shadow boxing.
Yeah, I'm ready. Because he knows. And Billy's going to come forward, we think.
Tons of openings. Tons of openings. Tons of opening.
tons of spots.
I think you said Taylor made.
Canelo Prime Canelo would absolutely wash in Billy,
but we're not in Prime Canelo's time.
So we've got to see what we got in front of us.
And because at the same time,
as much as in Billy is Taylor made for Prime Canello,
in Billy is the worst kind of style to fight when you get old.
When you get old overnight, he's the worst guy to have in front of you.
That's 22.
all effort.
He's going to drive.
He's going to push.
He's tough.
He's young.
All effort.
You know, that's not the guy you want in front of you when it turns out that father time just showed up.
He looks great.
And that could be it.
I saw a video of him.
He looks jack.
He has been training in Spain at Ussk's gym.
That's cool.
Receiving all sites of all sorts of his new age medical treatments.
Legal. Legal? Legal?
Biceps looking huge.
And they just started the Vada testing.
So if they, like, I don't know how that word.
I don't want to get into testable about to end the episode, but like, so they signed
up for the Vada like recently.
So that means they haven't been tested over the last three months, four months?
I haven't gotten details on that.
I talked about this on, on boxing scene today show.
clip one around quite a bit.
I saw it see a funeral.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Some people picked it up because I was saying that, but drug testing needs to be around.
Because they announced that this fight, and I'm hearing what you heard is that, all right,
we're just starting now.
And I wasn't sure if that was the case.
Turns out it was.
So four weeks of drug testing is, it's useful.
That's not when, that's not when you're going to get caught.
If you get caught in those four weeks, then you got to hire a new drug team.
You got hired a drug dealer.
I just wonder how it works.
Like, yeah, so they're not coming.
They're not administrating your doses right.
Yeah, and it's, I don't know if fans know that Sella, the promoter is the one that pays for Lovada.
And they're all over the place, Sella.
All right.
So there's your month, October.
October matchups.
Good month, good month of boxing after what was one of the slower periods that I can remember doing this show.
10, 9 plus years of inside boxing, but still had over 2 million views on Instagram.
And I was saying, and we still put up numbers.
So we're doing something, right?
Running circles around them, chumps out there.
These other boxing podcasts.
Maybe it's the mustache.
Could it be the mustache?
Probably.
Because the mustache has been a pretty recent.
Those last like 10 weeks or so, it's been, it's been, so it could be the mustache.
When I go, we're looking for new sponsors.
When I go make the rounds over the next couple weeks for 2026, I will put the mustache at the top of our presentation.
Yeah, I need a, I actually need to trim this.
So it was a Tom Selleck summer.
Now it's a Magnum P.I.
Paul.
And then, and then, but, but then also next month, November is Movember.
So the no nut November.
That's not.
All right.
That's not.
All right.
That's not a thing.
Movenber it is.
That's not a thing.
All right, everyone.
Have a great week.
We'll be back on Thursday to preview Floyd Schofield, Lucasbody and the other boxing
hijinks.
I'm heading down to Texas at the end of the week for some sumo wrestling.
Oh, that's right.
It should be a great weekend down in Austin, Texas.
Never been there.
Excited about that.
Have a great week.
And we didn't talk about it today, but we're going to talk about my trip to Orlando.
Oh, should.
I'm out with Sean Sweeney, Coach Sweeney, and the magic.
I didn't get the photos yet.
Once we get the good photos, then we'll really discuss.
Sean did text me and said, your boy, Algerie was phenomenal.
He had the players, they were locked in.
Yeah, they were.
It was good.
So for those who didn't watch last episode,
I went up to Orlando to speak to the team going over just the championship mentality,
you know, discipline, getting through hard spots, tough spots in competition.
And it was cool.
It was very fun day.
The facility is incredible.
Can't wait to go to a game this season.
At the magic.
At the magic.
I said don't go too hard with, you know, riling them up and getting them excited because
they're in the Knicks.
They're in the Eastern Conference.
dude one like dude once once i get going man it's like a boulder downhill i can i can't help
you show them the prozano fight or you just told them about yeah they had we had a clip we had a highlight
clip yeah so they could see the eye see those and i and i brought the belt and handed around they all got
that because i was i was like listen i never held a belt until it fell over my head when i won it
i'm like i brought this so you guys could feel how heavy these things no one was and they right
away like oh whoa they passed it around the whole the whole team so then they saw that they
were at the zone fight on Friday night.
Yeah, they went to the fight.
Yeah, shout out to Sean Sweeney, the head coach.
He's a huge boxing fan.
Like, like, legit could be on our show and talk like old school boxing.
He's an absolute freak.
I hung out with him.
He trains, too.
I don't know.
He had his gloves under his desk.
He's legit, man.
I gave him my mini, my mini WBO belt that I always put on the show.
I gifted at him to keep in his office.
So we're in that game.
That's great.
So that means you get tickets for magic games.
and then I think I'm good to go for some Nix when the magic visit the Nix.
There you go.
Yeah.
Let's forget go.
All right, everyone, have a great week.
We'll see you on Thursday.
Protect yourself all the time to keep your hands up at all times.
Say out of those D.Ns, we're out.
