All right, everyone, welcome back.
It's another episode of Inside Boxing,
presented by PPPV.com,
in association with uncrowned Yahoo Sports,
episode 503 of Inside Boxing.
Thursday, September 24th.
I'm Dan Cardobeyo.
He is the champion, Chris Algerian.
Finally, it has happened.
Oh, my goodness gracious.
Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua,
an announcement has been made from Turkey.
An announcement has been made.
It's going to go down in Wales,
Cardiff, Principality Stadium, December 11th, Friday on Netflix.
We got an announcement from Turkey.
We got announcements from AJ.
We got an announcement from Hearn.
No announcement from Fury.
Not quite interesting.
A lot of bickering still.
We'll get into it all.
We'll actually give our liens on this episode and much, much more undercard information leaking out as well.
Chris, did you stop in your tracks when you saw this news?
No.
Me neither.
I went back to sleep.
Yeah, I was like, woohoo, finally.
Made it over the line.
Come on, guys.
Like, let's get it together.
So, yeah, it wasn't super, super ecstatic, I should say.
I'm going to happy.
It's a good fight.
It's an exciting.
I like it.
I've really liked the fight.
I've talked about it.
But you talk about something so much and you just, you get blue balls after a while.
You're like, come on, man.
Like, can we just get this over the line?
Let's get this fight to happen.
But listen, it's happening.
And all the BS between Dana and Eddie and Turkey, it was exhausting.
It was exhausting.
These guys want to fight.
Let them, like, let's get the fight.
Dana coming out.
I'd be like, oh, you know, if they don't want to do the fight, you know, walk away.
And a lot of posturing from guys that really don't matter when you've got two guys,
like AJ and Tyson at the status they're at.
And they want to fight.
It shouldn't be that hard to make this fight.
There's the official poster.
It's pretty cool.
Fury, AJ finally.
There's the F and Fury, the A.
And finally for AJ brings back Tyson.
It brings back Tyson Lewis is on.
Remember that?
Yeah, yeah.
The Lewis over Tyson is on the final thing for that.
So there's the official announcement.
Here's Turkey's tweet.
For 15 years, no one has been able to make this fight.
Back in April, I said any announcement would come from me.
I can now confirm the Fury Joss.
So we'll be coming to the UK.
as I promised British boxing fans.
The time for talking is over.
A few things there.
15 years ago, Anthony Joshua,
a few things,
15 years ago, Anthony Joshua was an amateur.
This fight was not on anyone's radar.
So that's number one.
Number two, bringing the fight to the UK,
as I promised.
Brother, buddy,
there's a reason this fight took forever to announce
because you and Netflix wanted it in New York City.
That's my problem with that right there.
I love what he says, as I promise British fans.
He was the one, he was basically the guy saying that it wasn't going to happen there.
They already paid the garden, too.
Didn't they put a deposit down?
Take that back.
Take that deposit back.
It's going down in Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Not London, which I really belongs to Wembley, but apparently it's going to be on very late there, too.
We were talking about like 2 a.m., which would be five hours backwards our way, would be what, like,
seven or 8 p.m. Eastern? I'm happy. I'm cool with that. Well, this is not for us. This is for the UK
fans, but even two in the morning is pretty absurd. And yeah, you talk about the, you know, all the
posturing, which really took a lot of the wind out of the sales for this fight. The fact that it's
10 years too late is the number one reason why a lot of people have soured on it. Then we had five or
six months since April. Since Fury's fight against Macbadov, we've had several months now of
bickering of the worst aspects of boxing of Dana White, Eddie Hearn, Turkey, where does the fight belong?
Who's getting what?
Where is the fight going to be?
I'm going to deal with all of that.
And ultimately, they get the fight in UK.
Eddie Hearn wins out.
We talked about that last episode.
If you look at this, though, this is something interesting.
Not so fast when it comes to Dana White being the lead promoter for this fight.
Because in the Netflix press release, it was stated.
that Turkey Al-Sheek is putting on this fight.
Netflix will be carrying it,
and TKO will be
involving Ring Magazine, and Eddie,
and excuse me,
Dana White will be the promoter of note.
Not so fast, as Eddie Hearn.
In the contract, it stipulates
that Dana White cannot be part
of the lead-up.
Why does it keep doing that?
I hate that.
So, yeah, you just get this out of the way.
So there's a little bit more of this.
There might not be a press conference next week, says Eddie Earned.
Again, the posturing by people who really don't matter when you have two guys who just want to fight is just, it's exhausting.
We're still going to, we're still doing this.
I feel like this is going to happen all the way up until the fight.
And afterwards.
Eddie's sticking by his guns, though, man.
He's like, I got a contract.
I got paperwork.
We're going, we're going by the book, baby.
Well, if they got the fight to happen in the, in Cardiff, due to the negotiations, due to it was in that contract.
The original.
Yeah, the original.
Yeah.
So, like, if it says it in that thing that Dana White can't be part of this,
then I'm kind of have to listen to Eddie.
I kind of have to believe Eddie.
I don't, I mean, listen, Eddie, Eddie's a promoter, but, you know, he's also a contract guy.
And he stuck by, he stuck to his guns and stuck to the original contract because he has it in ink.
If he has this an ink, I don't see how they get around it once again, unless they want to pay a bunch of money, which he could do as well.
I could just, all right, guys want to be there?
But I don't think Eddie's going to do that.
I don't think this is a money thing for Eddie.
like Eddie like should be involved in this
Eddie Frank Warren
Dana White like he does not belong in this fight
like he's not doing anything he did not promote
Anthony Josh for the most part of his career
did not promote Tyson Fury at any point in his career
he's not involved in this fight I understand he is
Dana White and he's kind of synonymous with fights
whether it's MMA now
or now a little bit into boxing
I mean this should be an Eddie
an Eddie vehicle and I understand like we're kind of getting
on Turkey a little bit he is funding the fight
like there's no doubt about that and I've said this in the past like they've had 10 not 10 years they've had 5 to 8 years to make this fight and they never did Eddie never made it Warren never made it
Joshua never made it. Fury never made.
You point fingers all day long.
There's something to be said about Turkey coming in,
putting up the funds to get over the finish line.
Netflix wanting to be involved with it too.
It's too late, obviously,
and you want to point fingers on who's going to be responsible for it.
This final little picture I'll show you here that is actually got a kick out of this.
Mike Coppiger tweets out.
Fury A.J. is happening in the UK because of Turkey
ultimately decided to stage the bout in Prince Balley Stadium.
He's the organizer of the event.
It's his call in the end.
Everyone had 10 plus years to make the fight
and it didn't happen until Turkey came around.
Just stating facts.
Thoughts on that.
Interesting.
Listen, it wasn't money that kept this fight from not happening
because there was plenty of money in the pot.
These guys, if they wanted to make this fight happen,
it would have earned enough.
It's the biggest UK fight you can make.
Both guys make tons of money.
They're fighting each other.
It's going to be humongous.
It would have been humongous 10 years ago.
That wasn't what got it over the line.
It wasn't the money.
Yes, is Turkey helping to facilitate this?
Absolutely, because it is 10 years past.
And maybe it wouldn't have made enough money now to make it happen.
But, yeah, it wasn't the money that kept these guys from fighting the first time.
It was probably a lot of ego, a lot of bravado, and a lot of the outside forces that we were talking about earlier
that shouldn't really have an effect on a fight.
But now it's like they're both past 35.
They're in the twilight of their career.
It's one more gigantic money grab.
But it's also a good fight.
They're both still super competitive and they're going to go for it.
Did Turkey help facilitate?
Absolutely.
But I'm just laughing at the tweet from Carpager.
Like, come on, bro.
Like, you work for the ring.
Like, you work for Turkey.
Like, you had to tweet this.
I don't know if he told you to tweet it.
But it's just like, dude, it's happening because of more than just turkey.
Like, it's happening in Principality Stadium, not because of Turkey.
It's happening because Eddie Hernd really pushed for that.
But that's just Carpenter's never going to say that.
And he's going to back Turkey through and through.
He has no shame.
Dude, he's a turkey mouthpiece.
Oh, my God, bro.
It's so turkey mouth.
No shame.
And I really, really love the comments underneath.
Like, and the quote tweets are just like hammering him because it's just, I know this is all silly.
I know this is so silly.
Like, we're looking at everything here.
But for a fight that's like 10 years to pass its expiration date, like I don't mind these little side.
theatrics. I don't mind these little games being played too. It kind of adds a little bit more
intrigue to it, like the Eddie part, the Dana part, you know, because I really don't think much of
the actual fight. It doesn't matter. That's the thing. The fight doesn't matter in the grand stakes of
the headway division. It does a WBA super title on the line, Chris. Yeah, whatever, it's bullshit.
In terms of, in terms of the landscape of the heavyweight division, this fight doesn't matter.
I'm not saying it's not a good fight. I'm not saying it shouldn't happen. But it's like,
this is like the G League. And I mean, G is in Jerry,
It's the older, it's the older guard fighting each other.
So, yeah, and it's still a good fight.
I'm still very interested in it.
Yeah, I could do without all those other BS that you're talking about.
But whatever, man, it's two of the biggest names in the sport that are going to fight.
And you're going to get all this nonsense around it.
Fury and AJ, all the nonsense is over, we think.
For the actual fight, are you leading towards Fury?
I guess that's what I'm seeing pretty much everywhere.
amongst boxing fins
that Fury has a little bit more
to the left in the tank than AJ.
Yeah, I'm leaning Fury too.
I love AJ.
I really like AJ.
That prank of fight was really eye-opening.
And also, so was Fury's, you know,
comeback fights.
Like, he showed that he's still got some dog in him.
He's willing to be uncomfortable.
He's willing to, you know,
to get down and dirty a little bit.
He's gone rounds.
He's got a lot more rounds than AJ has
in the last two fights.
So between those two things, yeah, I think I was
always leaning Fury, now I'm leaning pretty assuredly.
Yeah, I would say Fury is closer to...
And when I say always leaning Fury,
I don't mean like 10 years ago.
I mean, in terms of this version of these guys fighting.
Like the last like two years?
Less than that, even less than that.
Like the last year, we've really seriously talked this fight
because it's going to happen.
Yeah, once Fury lost to Usik,
and once AJ lost to Dubois,
that's when this fight came into focus.
That's the most messed up part about it.
It's like, that's the only reason why we're coming.
They're coming to it because they have no one else left to fight.
It's all right, we find you might as well get to this fight
where, you know, harkening back.
It should have been happening five, seven years ago, but whatever.
I think Fury is closer to his prime
or closer to his more prime performances than AJ is.
You know, the Prangue fight get knocked down,
the Dubois fight getting completely erased.
Yeah, Fury did lose.
I don't think he's closer to it.
I think he's just less eroded.
That's what I mean.
He's got, yeah, he's just less eroded.
Like even the Ustik fights for Fury, he lost them,
but he didn't, he didn't, um...
No, he was, they were close fights.
He was in those fights.
But they just happened a lot.
But so, I mean, so with the AJ was sick fights here.
But A. Js weren't recent.
No. No.
But if you really argue, who's, uh, AJ's prime,
was a long time ago.
What was AJ's prime?
Clitchgo.
2018?
Yeah, 2017 to 2019.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a long time ago.
And that's when, that's when Fury was like coming into his prime.
So yeah, yeah, you know, I take that back.
You're right.
We are closer to Tyson's prime.
And on top of that, he's less eroded.
Well, they're not near, neither of them are close to their prime.
I'm just talking about like, if you think of like prime fury, you think of the movement,
you think of the faints, you think of, you know, the combination punching,
you think of a really good jab.
And then for Josh, you think of the devastating knockout power and the one-punch knockout power,
which he still kind of asked.
Who's got more wear and tear?
Tyson's been in a lot of wars.
Tyson has been knocked out.
Yeah.
But AJ has more bad knockout.
His chin is completely done.
Tyson's never been stopped.
So AJ has those bad knockouts, but Tyson has those wars.
Yeah, it's two guys who are pretty, pretty.
damaged, you know, who are meeting each other. But they're both damaged. So it's like,
what do you, what do you, what do you take? That should have been the, uh, headline.
The headline, damaged goods. Not finally damaged. Is there a, there's an A in damage, but there's
no F for Fury's part. Building a case for Joshua, it's not like he is going to step into this
fight as a massive underdog. He still has the knockout power. Yes, he touched a canvas against
Pranga. He got right back up the next round and fired up a beautiful one too.
He still has that punching power.
You know, the thing with Fury is, you know, he does tuck that chin well.
He does have good defense.
But that's eroding.
That's eroding as well, getting up there in age.
If Anthony Joshua touches that chin of Fury, you're telling me Fury's not hitting the canvas,
you're telling me Fury is not going down?
Just a matter of if Fury touches Joshua's chin.
And when I think of Fury at this stage, I don't think devastating puncher.
I think of a guy that still has somewhat of his motor skills still.
it's all relative, right, when it comes to punching power and chin.
Because if you have all the power in the world that your chin is great, it's like,
you know, it's, it's, it's, um, it doesn't matter as much.
But if you have a guy who's not a great puncher, but his opponent's chin is, is checked,
eh, that power now becomes real.
But no, I don't look at Fury as a power puncher by any means.
And I think AJ is probably the single best puncher in the sport today, still to this day.
And he puts that thing on your chin, you're going down.
The problem is Tyson's it gets up.
we're so basing what the one time he got up or just like we haven't seen him down too often other than that
no tyson think about the wilder fights the ux fight the third wilder fight yeah Tyson goes down and he gets
but he gets up man he comes up like he gets out in the fear in the ux fight when he was ninth round against
those ropes yeah that was there was a lot there was a lot there's a lot there's a lot of things
that very easily could have been stopped there yeah i would say fury's recuperating power is still
But that goes away too.
That's another thing overnight.
Everything we say, it's like, yeah, but.
Because that's the nature of this fight.
Yeah.
Man, AJ's, he's still got that puncher bear, but.
He's 30, six years old.
I mean, Fury, man, that guy can still move around there, but.
Hey, he gets up, well, he has on the past.
Long, long time ago.
Still, we're all going to be watching.
Fury's 38.
They're not going to be watching.
Stop.
This is on Netflix, Friday night, you know,
right beginning, winter months.
It's going to be...
Is this going to be the biggest Netflix fight?
Boxing match?
Not bigger than Fury.
Not bigger than Jake and Tyson.
That's what I'm asking.
Does it have...
Does it have...
So it doesn't have a chance to rival that?
No.
I would say this one will do 20.
That's it?
Well, it just depends on the U.S.'s interest in this fight.
Like, how much does the U.S. market care?
Like, they can.
cared about Mike Tyson.
Mike Tyson is Mike Tyson and Josh, you know, Jake had enough reasons for people to watch
him get splattered or fans of that and the other.
Like, I don't believe the U.S.
So, but half of, half of that fights in this fight.
American audiences know who A.J. is.
They know him as the guy who broke Jake's jaw.
Yeah, but I would say like 20 million would be, I think he would be happy with that.
And Tyson has the show on Netflix, right?
Or he did.
it doesn't he have another one coming out?
I'm sure he does.
I think I thought I remember him saying
because his last fight which wasn't aired
you're gonna have to watch it on his Netflix show.
Well, guess well, we saw how that played out.
I couldn't tell who was who.
I couldn't tell if he was Fury or he was Macbadoe.
Or not Macbadoe, warm.
Oh, no.
Wach.
Marius Wach.
I don't know, man.
I think, I mean,
they took so long to get this fight off the ground.
it's now it's like right around the corner.
Yeah, we're almost into October.
It's going to be December 11th.
Will there be a press conference next week?
Not according to Eddie Hearn unless he's the lead promoter.
Why don't they just like make this a full-flood circus
and just allow Eddie and Dana to be on the stage?
Very well, maybe the case.
Learn from the Ryan Garcia-Ben fight where they didn't let Oscar on the stage.
I thought was a big mistake.
Just bleed into this.
This is a Netflix.
circus, lean into the circus a little more.
I want Eddie up there. I want Dana up there. I want them to
verbally spar in front of each other, not into cameras in different rooms, different continents.
Let's get the full-fledged circus.
It's 2026, man. And I feel like we live in a simulation, so it's probably going to happen.
And Turkey, according to all accounts of Turkey, from Turkey, like, you know, Eddie says
that he enjoys the fuckery, he says, of it.
He enjoys, like, making uncomfortable moments for these guys.
So do it.
Eddie says a turkey, turkey does?
Yes.
Like, the times are where people are, what's turkey like?
You know, what does he like?
And Eddie says he enjoys, like, the riffraff.
He enjoys, he loves the fact that Eddie and Dana are going at it now that Dana's his new best friend.
Turkey's best friend is Dana white now.
So put him on the stage together.
Eddie, Dana, Tyson, Fury, and AJ.
I'm tuned it into that.
press conference.
I like it.
Because I want to see
because Tyson's like all up on Dana now right?
Like he's he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's boy.
Tyson Fury will just do anything Turkey says.
Guy's cutting the checks, man.
Yeah, that's who he's aligned with.
It's, it's, that's his guy and now that Eddie is Turkey's guy, but he's, that's
the fact of now Tyson Fury's guy.
So Eddie, Eddie, Eddie's outnumbered on that stage that if Dana comes in.
No, Eddie doesn't mind.
You got Dana.
You got Turkey.
you got Tyson.
Yeah, but Tyson's a good talker, man.
That's a lot of talking heads versus Eddie.
And Eddie's a great talker.
Don't get me wrong.
He's one of the best in the business.
Him versus Dana.
I think Eddie's got him.
Eddie versus Tyson, though, and with Dana on his side, that's tough.
It's interesting because I've never seen Dana in this position.
You know, he is the head guy at UFC.
No one is stepping on the UFC stage in trying to go at Dana White.
It's just simply not how their business structure is set up.
When he had his first boxing press conference and got, got,
got beat up by the reporters.
He was not ready for that at all.
Oh, right, yeah, yeah.
But, like, in terms of him being,
he's not used to sharing the stage with anyone.
Yeah.
So I don't think,
I don't think Dana would even, like, agree to this.
You know, he always tries to pretend that he's better.
Eddie would kick his dick in.
Eddie's really good at this.
Eddie's,
Eddie's done this a lot.
His tools are sharp.
He's used to push back.
And I don't think Dana would, like,
quote unquote, lower himself to be on the stage.
And, like, he will try to take, like,
the high road, like, I got more.
money than you. I'm a bit more stature than you. I won't go up there and do that.
Yeah, but it would be, it would be fun. Like you said, the circus.
Yeah, we'll get into it. Let's get the ringleaders to fight. Why not? Who cares?
Let's get into it. But as for the actual fight, it puts a bow on the, on this era of heavyweight boxing.
It's the only matchup that we didn't get for the most part. And yeah, it's happening.
It's kind of fitting. It's December now, too. Kind of fitting, right?
Like, end of the year?
End of the era.
End of the year.
We start fresh.
We start fresh.
Yeah, start 2027 fresh with the Talmas and the Wardleys and the Dubois.
But, but do we get a final answer?
Do we get a final solution for this fight?
Or do these guys end up fighting again and then a trilogy?
Like, is this going to be a final one and done?
Or are we just opening the door for?
I don't mind if they're fighting again.
If the first fight is good enough that it warrants a rematch,
they can have their own little league.
You know, like you told that the G League, the geriatric league,
just have your own little series, guys,
and provide us with some fun.
As long as it doesn't bleed into, like, the main stuff,
like the Hergovich's and, you know,
whatever happens with Wardley and Dubois,
because I think we both can agree
that neither Fury or AJ
belong in those discussions anymore.
No.
But I could also see Fury.
If Fury knocks out Joshua or definitely beats him,
you know he's going to be banging his chest
for one of the young guns.
100%.
And I was talking to Robert Garcia and Pauli Amonajia like this.
And Pauli's like, ah, no, he's not going to fight those guys.
I'm like, I think you're wrong.
I think Tyson Fury is a super competitive guy.
And if he comes out of this fight with a good win, you know, if he performs well, he's
going to say the same thing about AJ.
I don't think AJ is going to go off into the sunset if he wins this fight.
He knocks out Tyson Fury.
You don't think he's going to try and go get one of those belts up again for one of these young
guys.
Go fight Herkovich.
Go fight.
You know, I think he will.
We talked about how we want to make it a circus, right?
We want to just lean into the ridiculousness that is boxing
and make a whole Netflix spectacle out of this.
Well, the undercard is starting to look like a damn circus.
Chaucor Stevenson reportedly in talks to fight Manny Pachia.
Chikor Stevenson and Manny Pachio.
What are we doing?
Chikor, I'm looking right into the camera at you.
We've had our beefs.
If you fight 48-year-old Manny Pachio, it's an absolute embarrassment.
You are in your prime. You are a pound for pound great right now. And I don't want to hear the thing like, oh, he's done enough in his career to warrant this type of fight. He deserves this type of fight. He could take this type of fight. Dude, there's like three or four more options out there for you right now. Not naming Tank Davis, the fight we really want to see you have. Where's the Murataya fight? You know, where is the Russell fight? You know, where is the Devin Haney fight? Am I forgetting any? No one is clabbering for you to fight, Manny Pack you? It's embarrassing.
That's embarrassing. I hope this isn't true because it's an absolute freak show of a fight and just another like, all right, really, this is what we're going to do. This is what boxing has come to, Manny Pachio. Like, there's nothing cool about beating Manny Pachio when he's 48. I heard about this a couple weeks ago when I first heard about it. I didn't hear much more. So I'm like, all right, good. That was just, that was just a little bit of maybe litmus testing how people react because I don't think anyone reacted well to this. Nobody wants this fight. It does, it does nothing for no one. It's a complete nothing burger of a fight.
The only thing he's going to do is hurt Chachor.
People like to talk a lot about Chachor and his choices and who he fights and how he handles, you know, being the business side of his sport.
This is not going to help his case at all.
Not that he cares, it's money.
But legacy is going to be greatly affected.
Nobody wants to see this fight.
It shouldn't even be sanctioned, honestly.
This is not Mario Barrows.
Chikor Stevenson is a literal pound-for-pound guy.
And Manny Packow is another year and a half older than when he fall at Mario Barrier.
He's going to be damn near 50, right?
He's 49 and a half?
Yes.
Because he was 48 when he fought.
He was 47.
He's 4,000.
All right.
Okay, so he's going to be damn near 49 years old.
No, no, no, no.
This does zero for anyone and hurts, hurts, Hors'Kor's legacy.
I don't think it hurts Paco, that helps him money-wise.
But I think he's going to, he'll get whipped.
It wouldn't even be competitive.
No, it would, and if he goes to distance with him, and then it's even more embarrassing.
Might get hurt.
Might get hurt.
The barrier is Pacio.
fight is totally different than this. This was, that was a way for to get, you know, to break a record.
You know, Barrios is not Chaucor Stevenson. He is not on the pound for pound list.
We know that. It's not this fight. The problem I have with this fight is Chacore being a top
three pound for pound guy having all these options out there. He's also not active. If he was a guy
who fought five times a year and this was like, eh, me one more, you know, I had four, I had four wins
this year. I beat real top flight opposition and I want to take a money grab. I'm okay with that. But he's
not. He fights once a year.
Right. If he was coming off of a Murataya win or Gary Antoine Russell win or, you know, right off the Tiofima win, right into this and then even not there, but still, I get what you're saying.
He's not fighting enough to justify this. He's not a big enough name to justify us. He hasn't done enough. He has a great accolades. Don't get me wrong. He hasn't done enough to be like, no question there.
Oh, he deserves this.
You know, everyone should get this type of fight in their career.
Give me a break.
He signed to Zufa.
One of the reasons he signed to Zufa, according to Shakur himself, was I can get any
fight I want and get the biggest fights.
So I'm thinking, all right, now he's got Zufu behind him.
Maybe we do get the tank fight.
Maybe we do get the Devin Haney fight.
Maybe we do get like a Murataya or Gary Antoine Russell.
Hell, at this point, I take the Raya fight over the Pachio one.
So the signed to Zufa, for all that money,
all that attention, and then your first fight be Manny Pachio?
Come on, man.
You deserve every arrow that's coming your way if this happens.
I really hope it does not happen for a lot of reasons.
Lance is reporting it.
He's one of the most reputable Bugmire, most reputable reporters today.
They want to make this double main event.
Don't call it a double main event either because A.J. Fury is the mean event.
Yes, yes.
Double main event.
What does that even mean?
I hate that term.
do that. You can't do that. It's no such thing.
They even do it at MVP where I work and they do this double main and I'm like,
it's not no such thing. It's one main event. Co-made event? Which fights? Which fights at the end?
Which fights? What's the poster named after?
Finally is not going to be the name for Chagor's back, yeah. There's no co-made event there.
No one saying finally for that fight. Finally is for AJ and, and Fury.
Yeah, they want to make it. This is what Netflix is though. Like, oh, by the way, who,
Who gets top billing?
Is it Fury?
No,
AJ.
Fury's got the name first.
Wow.
So AJ gets top billing.
No, Fury gets top billing.
I mean, Fury gets top billing.
Do you think that is right?
You think it should be Fury?
Or is it just because his alignment with the powers that be that are?
Probably that.
But like, I don't know.
I think they're pretty even in terms of recognizable names and faces.
Yeah, that's a tough one.
Both are pretty accomplished.
Both were multiple time champs.
If you remember, ask the Twitter sphere later,
who did.
think should get top billing in 2026.
I'd like to see, I'd like to see
what the feedback would be. It's pretty damn
close. Yeah, but let's see,
let's see what Twitter says. Fury was never
undisputed, right? That was Ussick.
Usik was undisputed.
Usik had the final belt.
Mm-hmm, yeah.
So both are unified multiple
time champions. Both
have sold out stadiums.
AJ has probably done higher
gates.
You know, so they have around the same
accolades.
They have the same popularity, I think, recognizable faces and names.
I feel like Tyson's more well-known here, though, because he fought here.
He fought Wilder here.
He beat an American heavyweight.
Then you have the Joshua Jake fight.
It wonders for him.
True, true.
Pretty even.
Tyson also has fight of the years.
That goes a long way for fighters in terms of, like, when we talk amongst ourselves.
Theory had a longer run as heavyweight champion.
but when you say who put UK on the map who put UK boxing back on the map it's
Joshua by far yeah no AJ AJ is a is a he's a solar system of his own you know he's
yeah he's he's huge yeah that's why again I gotta ask I should say X I keep saying Twitter
I'm sure what is Twitter it's back to Twitter it's never was X in my in my book
oh old man Dan it's the one thing that no it's like the
one thing that never caught on.
I just saw a tweet about it the other day.
Because it's stupid.
It's tweet.
Like, it's literally a verb.
Like, you, it was so powerful that the actual, was that the verb.
It's so powerful that the lexicon changed.
It's tweeting is a thing.
I'll never call it X.
I don't care.
Yeah.
I mean, all right.
To me, X is a pilly.
I'm sticking to my guns too.
Jeez.
Really showing your age.
Do people do still do X-Sisie?
I don't know.
I've never dabbled with it.
Don't know what it is.
Really?
college, Dan? You didn't get in?
No. That's a heavy drug.
I think so. That's a heavy, heavy drug.
This is not a good podcast if you're into drugs. We don't really have much input.
PEDs, yes.
Yeah, yeah, pets, yeah, for sure.
That's absolutely. For sure.
They're also looking to put Richardson Hitchens versus Kishon Davis on this card.
That's a good fight. I like that fight.
Kind of a lateral move from Kishon. He turns down the Devin Haney fight to fight Richardson
and Hitchens, which arguably may be a tougher fight,
no belt, probably more money, though.
Yeah, probably more money.
It's got to be more money.
It's not more money, then what the hell will be doing?
It better be more than $3 million.
Yeah, yeah.
Which would be crazy for that level of fight to be getting paid that much money.
Well, it's a big card.
It's ring, it's turkey, it's...
It's great, but like usually on big cards,
guys get paid less on the undercard because so much money is going to the top.
Traditional.
It funnels down traditionally, but yeah.
Yeah, this is a crazy world.
But this is also why you get guys like Shiraz who don't want to take $750,000.
750 is a good payday, dude.
You know, you got guys who are turning down $2 million offers.
It's crazy.
The market is upside down and totally flipped.
Yeah, it's a big trend right now with the vacating of belts and the business side of boxing.
Your clip last week caught the attention of a lot of people here.
You know, I don't want to speak for you because you can speak for yourself on this show.
like, but Shiraz, we're not saying like, you know, fight, you got, you must fight whoever
and not, and look at everything, the finances and fights.
But when you look at Shiraz's past fights and take it to account 750, like you just said,
is a very good number.
And what his actual value is, that's his value on the open market.
It went to the market.
They asked the market.
750 is what he got.
That's what he deserves without the inflation of Turkey.
He doesn't have a home base.
He doesn't have fans, Shiraz.
But he has Turkey.
And Turkey cuts those big-ass fat checks.
And he's like a main proponent of Turkey.
Like there seem to be like in lockstep.
Whereas Kishon Davis, he doesn't have any connection to Turkey, but he knows that
Turkey's out there.
He knows that these cards are out there.
So I turned down $2.1 million for Devin Haney because I know there's a very good
chance I can get 3.1, 3.5, 4 million. I don't think this is a good thing. There's a whale out there in
the ocean that is boxing and cutting big checks. If you have done that too, because I saw a few
of those comments too, but you know, you had a different type of, first of all, you fought in a different
era where you didn't have a turkey there. You had to literally fight everyone and you had to take whatever
they offered you. Yeah, and I couldn't turn down anyone. Not that I was in my makeup at all, but
I didn't turn out a single fight at the highest level.
You have the, like, yeah, you didn't turn out any fights.
You fought Herodico if you win that fight.
You get Pachial.
From there, you get bigger fights there.
Do you think you maybe would have vacated in this era?
Do you think you maybe would have done some of the swerving that we're seeing today?
No.
Flat out.
And you know why?
I had a very smart man once, tell me, whatever you do, hold on to your belt.
You know who that man was?
Bernard Hopkins.
I was at a celebrity golf outing,
and he grabbed me and pulled me to decide.
He goes, because I had my one belt
and he had his 18 with him.
You know, we were taking photos next to each other.
And he goes, whatever you do,
don't, don't give up that belt.
Fight everybody.
They do your mandatories.
He was like, he was big on the belts.
And listen, you got a guy like Barnardick Hopkins,
grabs you, tells you to do that.
It stuck with me.
So, yeah, call me, whatever, you know,
all you're lying,
you're going to make so much money.
I still made a lot of money.
didn't make the amount of money that's out there now, but there wasn't that money then anyway.
But no, there's things that are more important.
Hold on to your belt.
That's something that we're not seeing happening today in boxing.
That's why I said.
A guy like Marvin Hagler rolling over his grave and a guy like Barhappens who's still alive
is rolling his eyes because he's like, come on, guys, what are we doing?
These belts matter.
He's changed lives.
So Shiraz vacates his title to not fight Janubek.
Teufima Lopez might be in the same boat.
Tiofima Lopez has been ordered to defend his WBA title.
versus Jack Caterall, who has long been his mandatory Caterall,
says I will not take step aside money.
This could throw a major wrench into Tiofimo versus Ryan Garcia,
which they want to be a unification fight for next May.
I saw some reports could happen in February or March, Tiafimo versus Ryan Garcia.
But will Tiofimo Lopez now vacate his title to swerve Jack Caterall
in order to fight Ryan Garcia, which is a bigger, more lucrative fight?
I don't know.
I don't know Tie Fimo how he views.
these belts and the kind of money he's made lately. But I do, I had an interesting idea. Well,
actually, Robert Garcia kind of brought it up, a plan of the sea to my head. You know, we've got
all this pit bull Ryan talk. And Tio had said that Gilbert Mendoza told him he was not going to enact
that guarantee for Jack Caterall, but again, the WBA just ordered it a few days ago. So obviously
they did. Is there something stepping in between Tio and Ryan? And is that something pit bull?
that could make things, this landscape open up a little bit.
What do you mean?
Like they would rather make the Pitbull Ryan fight.
Who's they?
The powers that be.
Of course they would rather.
Makes more money.
Right.
Jack Caterall, no offense to Jack Caterall.
Like, he's just doing his job.
He doesn't represent much in terms of.
No.
But he deserves the shot.
He deserves the shot.
Yes.
He deserves the shot.
Absolutely.
And we can't sit here and say,
Bels matter.
I don't like Zufa.
And then on the flip side of things, be like,
uh, from Jack Caterallel.
But it's also.
never, it's never a situation where the governing bodies go,
you know, these are the rules.
Now we're going to stick to the rules for Jack Caterall.
No, that doesn't make any sense.
They're enforcing this fight for another reason.
If that's the case, I do believe that that's the case,
that they're enforcing this fight to roadblock T.O. and Ryan.
So Ryan came fight elsewhere, which is probably Pipple.
And so you think the Pippo Ryan fight would be in May?
Dude, you put that on Cinco de Mayo weekend?
Oh, God.
I remember, okay, let, I don't like that.
fight at all, Ryan and Pitbull.
But I like it in December.
It's not happening in December. It's too big of a fight.
So I was, we talked last show about Pippel and, you know, we kind of raked him through the mug.
But he's the second most popular Mexican fighter in the world.
Do you know that?
I did no idea.
You think he's more popular than Benavitas?
Yes, because Benavides is a Mexican, but Robert Garcia explained this to me.
Oh, like actual.
actual.
Yes, because Benavides is a Mexican American.
Canel is number one, Pipples number two.
He is wildly popular in Mexico.
Wow.
That's, I didn't know that.
Obviously, you didn't know that either.
Yeah, he's a real, he is a Mexican national.
Benavita is born in the States.
Mexican Americans are different.
I just never really thought of it like that.
But he's wildly, wildly popular.
Of course he is.
I got people coming from my head.
Yeah, I know.
I get it.
I get it now.
Yeah, Paulie, I saw the clip from your guys.
on boxing scene, Polly saying pretty much the same thing I said.
You know, and I quote tweeted it, I said, oh, when I say it, I'm an idiot.
When Pauley says it in terms of not being a point of the fight.
They went for him too.
Trust me, they're coming for him too.
The fans are fanatical.
So that's a much bigger fight.
And when I say the powers that be, it's like, yeah, when the Mexican market moves the sport,
and that could be huge.
You put that on sickle to my weekend, Ryan and Pipple.
And I agree with both you guys.
I don't think the fight's great.
I like the Tio fight much better with Ryan.
I think that's a competitive, hard fight to really strategize who's going to win that fight.
Pipple and Ryan, it's pretty cut and dry.
But yeah, that could be the move.
I don't know.
We'll see.
There's a lot of moving parts of things happening behind the scenes.
So if T. Fimo vacates his title, I mean, that's a big blow, man.
That's, first of all, he got the title shot off of a loss.
And let's not lose sight of the fact here that Janubeck is getting the title shot.
shot with Shiraz off of a PD suspension.
There's nothing perfect about this sport,
nothing perfect about these situations.
But just the look of it,
the significance of Teofimo vacating a title
is not a good look.
After what we saw from Shiraz,
now we're seeing it from Jaime Mungia as well,
or might see it from Jaime Munga.
He's been ordered to fight back the bully.
Love that fight, by the way.
And it would be such a good fight to have on the undercard of,
because I think Manix reported that he's fighting on the intercard of and Billy and Canello
and that he was looking for an easier type opponent than a Beck Bowling.
What are we doing?
What are we doing?
This is all intertwined these next couple of topics.
Like Mangia is supposed to fight on the Canelo card, which is less, which is a, well, four
weeks away.
And that card might not even happen in Saudi Arabia because of, you know, ongoing conflicts there.
You know, Saudi Arabia airport getting bombed.
So I don't understand with the WBA, like, how do you, how do you, when I would jump on all the place here, but how do you sanction a fight for Mungia when he has a date next month?
But that's not, I know it's not official, but is there any type of communication that goes on between WBA and like the promoters of Mungia?
Because they can't just throw Beck to bully, Beck Melakusiev, at Mungia in a month.
Like, that's not going to happen next month.
Good point.
Good point.
I mean,
absolute chaos.
Good fight.
But you said, yeah, I saw the tweet from Manix
that Mangia wanted a soft touch,
which is just like, why?
I don't understand.
Why?
You just fought Resendez who was not,
like, you looked amazing against him.
Yeah.
And how long ago was that?
That's another thing.
Mungia looked so damn good.
Benavita's car.
That was May.
Yeah, he looked so damn good.
And, you know, he's just coming back.
These guys got to fight him often, man.
To me, Beck is kind of like,
no offense to Beck,
but that's kind of is like a warm-up fight.
Eh, he's a tough, he's a tough guy,
but yeah, he's not on the level.
Hyman Mungia should certainly win that fight.
Oh, it's a Canelo card.
Like, you can't just fight a freaking pushover.
No, we got to make good cards.
That's a big card.
The Canelo and Billy fights a good fight.
Why not have a good undercard?
Especially, I don't think calling Mexico versus the world,
you know, like, you can't have a fight.
Yeah, yeah.
Calling it not going to happen on October 31st.
So Tiafimo, man, that's a tough decision.
Like Tiafimo Ryan doesn't need a second belt for it to go forward.
Like Tiafumo is in the big fight business right now.
But just like I said, the significance of him giving up that belt after the Chiraz,
what we could see from Mungia, we're seeing a trend here.
It doesn't bode well for the belts matter brigade.
It bodes well for the Zufa brigade.
I was going to say it looks great for Zufa.
Because you're just giving up belts knowing that there's more lucrative fights.
Like the belts are almost becoming an annoyance for some of these fighters.
Well, the chip stack is pulling fighters.
It's like in poker when you have a guy who's just because you've got outchip it.
The big chipper is going to wear you out.
That's what Zuf is doing.
They're trying to suffocate out these smaller purses, these guys who are relinquishing the belts.
I got to pay you guys and I get paid less.
I'm going to leave my belt and I'm going to go fight for these guys.
This is exactly what these guys are doing.
This is how Zufa wins.
This is how they ultimately suffocate the sport and take over.
Caterall is a tough matchup to you.
Very tough.
Southpaw with a little bit of movement.
Showing some power of 47.
That is a classic trap fight.
Yeah, the exact style that gives Tio trouble.
It doesn't represent a lot of money.
Caterall is not bringing a lot to the table.
when it comes to that.
Like, Tio's on a tough spot here.
I know Keith Conley went on the record and said,
we are going to take the next steps
and see how we want to proceed
with the WBA and the title.
To me, that's like there's no other,
he doesn't, he's going to give the title.
Yeah.
And Tio Fimo is, in the recent days,
has, you know, recent year, I would say,
has kind of fancied himself
as like, I'm a throwback.
You know, throwback fighters.
don't give up titles.
Throwback fighters
would fight Gatoril.
That's what I said in the beginning.
And that's one thing that,
that Tio does fight the tough guys.
And the guys that don't come with a lot of,
you know,
fanfare either.
Sandor Martin,
Jermaine Ortiz when he fought him.
Yeah, he's willing to fight those kinds of guys.
Even when before he got Lomachenko,
he had to beat Comey,
who at the time was a formidable opponent.
Yeah.
And Tio was super young at the time.
Super young. I worked that fight.
That was awesome.
It was incredible.
performance. And yeah, it's, he is, I mean, if he's, if he, if he wants to go back that
moniker as a throwback fighter, he can't give up that belt and he's got to go fight Carol,
who is a deserving guy. I mean, if, if Ryan does fight pit bull in December, Tio fights
Caterall January or February, he really could still get Ryan and Tio. It just wouldn't get,
it wouldn't go according to plan. No, I think we can get Ryan and Tio down the line regardless, even,
If Caterall beats Tio and he loses his title,
I still think we can get Ryan and Tio down.
Because these guys, they're big, dude.
They're just big guys, and they can sell a fight.
I kind of disagree.
Like, I feel like Tia Fimo, like, he's already taking losses.
Like, that's Chakor.
So is Ryan.
Yeah, I know, but how many losses can you take?
How many bad performances can you take?
Like, if Tio loses the Caterall, he's going to look bad in that fight.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, I...
He's going to get outboxed and, and, uh,
You know, I mean, if it looks anything like, if he looked anything you did against your core.
Not good.
Yeah, we just look at Mangia, Beck the bully ordered by the WBA.
We'll see if Mangia does there.
Is you going to give up his title?
Chiraz did give up his WBA 168 title.
So Janubeck is looking at Jacob Bank, who I thought deserved it more than Janibak in the first place.
I thought it should have been Bank versus Shiraz.
And I wonder if Shiraz would have taken that one instead, knowing that.
that he could not only win the fight,
it probably wouldn't represent as much money either.
I was going to say that obviously the money is the issue here.
It's not even so much Janubeck.
It's not.
It's not.
It's not.
But he's trying to say it's because, yeah, he's a drug cheat as a deserve it.
But you still let it go to Perspid.
And once you sell out the number, you're like, nah.
You swerved after that.
Like, that's why I've been bunch of people in my mentions too.
Like, Dan, are you forgetting the fact that Janibek is a drug cheat?
That's why this fight's not happening.
Like, no, that's not why.
That's a great excuse for.
Shares.
So.
Yeah.
If that,
if that per spid
went higher,
this fight would be
happening.
Exactly.
If he was,
if he was getting
$2 million,
if he was getting
$1.5 and,
like double the $750,
Shara's is fighting Janovek.
Fights on.
I said this when this first was announced.
Remember what I said,
I said it to you,
I was like,
I think this is a great
gimmie for,
not a gimmie in terms of,
it's a tough fight,
but it's like,
it's a perfect situation
for,
for Shiraz.
You got a guy,
who has been off for how many years, who is, is, listen, whenever a guy gets popped for drugs,
his next couple fights, he doesn't look very good.
Look at Ben.
His first couple fights back after his layoff, you know, those two fights he had in the States,
and then his first fight with Eubank, he didn't look good.
You get, that's when you want the guy.
If you want an advantage, that's a great time to have it.
Sure else will end up on this Fury AJ card.
Hmm.
Most probably.
Well, that's the reason you do.
That's the reason to give up the belts.
If you don't end up on a big ring card, what are you doing?
No, there's something at play that he's being told.
He's got a mouse in his pocket telling him, hey.
It's not Longuea.
It's not Pacheco.
Pacheco's fighting on TNT.
It's probably an overpaid nobody again.
And then let's just forget all about you then, Chiraz, at that point.
How does he even have fun?
It doesn't matter because they're waiting around for Canello.
Turkey said it.
He wants Shiraz-Cherrase Canello.
It's going to happen at some point.
of Canelo.
Wait, wait, real quick.
Did you see Verhoeven's back in the mix?
They won't on the fight.
That's that, that, if we're making a full circus card underneath, if you got, if you
do with Shakur and Pac-Giao, you throw that one right on there too, Ergovich and Verhoven.
Like, dude, if Turkey wants a fight, it doesn't matter if it makes no sense at all.
Oh, that was part of, um, going back to Coppinger.
He put out a, uh, tweet.
Like these, I just spoke to Turkey.
these are the fights that Turkey wants to be made.
And it was a long list.
And one of the fights was Hergevich versus Rearhoven.
And now Hergevich is entertaining it.
I saw him tweet out.
Of course he is.
It's an easy fight for a lot of money.
It's ridiculous.
Yeah.
You want to fight Frank Sanchez?
Frank Sanchez is a tough fight.
Very tough fight.
Yeah.
To go along with that picture of that sweet
while it was coppature hugging Turkey.
Coppager hugging turkey?
Yeah, I'm trying to pull it up right now.
Someone just texted me it literally today.
Here it is.
Yeah, why can I get it?
It's coppature hugging turkey at a fight.
And along with that tweet,
with that picture was a tweet about them fighting.
Oh, the fights that he wants to get on there.
What a world we live in.
Unreal, right?
Unreal.
It's a stranger every day.
Yep.
Pretty strange here is what's happening with Canella and Billy fight.
It could potentially be moved out of Saudi Arabia.
This is because of the ongoing conflicts that are happening in Riyadh.
Yemen-based terror group.
The Houthis?
I don't know if I'm pronouncing that.
Houthis?
Houthis, yeah.
I'm not really familiar with their work.
But the last thing they did was bomb the Riyadh airport just a few days ago.
There were plumes of smoke.
I saw the video.
I know that the U.S. ordered, you know, not that anyone is visiting that area, but I think the U.S. issued some type of warning to U.S. citizens, like avoid that area.
And we are a month away from Canello and Billy.
There are reports that the fight could move out of Las Vegas, excuse me, out of Saudi Arabia to potentially Las Vegas in November.
But November has issues, too, because November 21st, there is the F1.
which is literally racing through the streets of Vegas.
That's sick.
That's sick.
Yeah, so fights not going to happen in Riyadh on October 31st.
It's way too close.
It's way too dangerous.
That area is not going to get cooler in the next couple weeks.
It's a legit war zone.
It's way too hot in the Middle East right now and for what's going on.
And I mean hot weather.
I mean, hot military action.
So, yeah, it's going to have to move.
and it's 21st is the Grand Prix Formula One.
Yeah.
What if they move it up?
Do it a little earlier.
It moves to fight back two weeks.
You do it mid-November right before that.
Number seventh, number 14th.
Yeah.
Vegas?
I mean, Canelo and Vegas, you and I have been to many.
They are awesome.
Awesome events.
Fight Week in Vegas with Canello, fight weeks are awesome.
I've been on the record numerous times.
tweeted it out, put my name on it.
Canelo Aver should not be fighting in Reads Saudi Arabia.
Ever.
He's one of the last stars that we have that people actually come out for,
and it should not be wasted.
We only have a few more Canellos.
Commit Canelo fight weeks.
Only a few more.
None of them should be on the road like that, where it's going to be quiet.
I wish it wasn't under these circumstances,
but he never should be scheduled there to begin with.
Totally agree.
And I posted a way in video we did.
didn't he say he didn't want to fight there anymore because of the other performance with school
he would never come out and say because they're just paying him so much but when he went on ariel's show
aerial kind of tried to get it out of him you know like you know what do you like attribute that
bad performance it was it fighting in saudi and he was like no no no no no I love I love fighting
that like too don't you don't there's no way you like flying to the middle east fighting a five in the
morning in front of 200 300 people I understand they're adding more to that arena and they'll
probably get the most packed out they can get it.
It was probably for a Canela fight or the Fury Usik, but still not enough.
It's still not in Las Vegas.
I would love, I would actually think about going, even though I don't know if I can get
credentialed at this point from that side of the street, but I would consider going because,
like you said, he only has so many fights left, Canel.
That would be worth it for us to go, just even on our own, do content, even if we didn't,
even get an access.
I think we would.
I think we would.
Yeah, I think so.
Like, Lance is getting credentialed by boxing scene, right?
He was at ring of arms.
Yeah.
We're all good.
This is America.
Freedom of the press.
Can all fight weeks, man.
There's something.
There's something.
That gets me excited.
Like, I saw this.
I got excited.
I got excited.
Yeah.
I mean, you're like, oh, man, it's really bad that, you know, they have to move it.
But also it's like, I should have been there in the first place.
But that was kind of like how AJ and Tyson was.
It was like, this should be in Wemble.
But if it's in New York, I mean, we're all.
Exactly.
The undercard is another problem, too.
I know, like, undercards can be fixed pretty easily.
I think Rafael Espinoza is the only part of this undercard that's stuck.
And I believe he has an opponent, too.
It's another lackluster opponent.
He's going to be in that card.
I know, it's crazy.
He's going to be in that card.
Mangia is supposed to be in that car, but we just talked about we don't know what's going to happen with Mangia and his mandatory.
Like, there is issues with the undercard as well, but, you know, they can figure that out.
As long as they put a good name on the co-main, like the first two fights never.
matter anyway.
That's not true anymore.
I think cards matter.
Well, now in terms of like, I get what you're saying, not true now, but in terms of this
car basically falling apart.
Yeah.
And then trying to salvage it.
Aspenosa, fine, like a Bruce Carrington, I'm sure wants to fight in this card.
It becomes easier for that.
Miliano Vargas, throw him on there.
First fight on night.
If it comes over here, it becomes easier to make the undercard.
So I, yeah, I think it would be even easier to put good fights together.
It's just a shame.
You mentioned Espinosa, and I hadn't heard who his opponent was.
I was hoping it was going to be a good opponent,
so we could have a really good card top to bottom.
You put Canelo and Billy's a good main.
That's a good fight.
You put Mungia and Beck Bully on as a co-main.
That's a great fight.
You put Espinosa with one of the top featherways.
Featherwe is one of the deepest divisions.
Where are you even finding a guy that's a no-name easy touch?
There's so many good fighters for him to fight.
You know, like, it's a real shame that they're not looking to put on the best fights possible on the undercard of such a big heart.
Right.
There's a lot of moving parts there.
A lot of moving parts in boxing.
We're getting A.J. and Fury, guys.
How excited are you?
Can't wait to see the comments on YouTube?
Finally.
Finally.
We'll all be watching on Netflix, too, guys.
Not pay-per-view.
Not paper-view.
We got to test.
We got to test the temperature of the American audiences.
for that fight.
I'm curious.
Very curious.
You made me think now.
I'm like,
oh, man,
maybe the American fans won't care.
The projection.
As much.
It's going to be,
it's going to get a big number overseas,
but they were expecting a lot more
than five million viewers
that they got for Fury MacBadov.
I understand that's not the same level of a fight.
Yeah.
Like,
they can double that,
even triple that,
just in the UK,
and then add on the 10 or 20,
15 million here.
Then you're looking at 30 million viewers.
That's about what Jake.
Jake Paul and Joshua did, 33 million.
Wow.
Okay.
I think the goal would be to beat that.
Yeah.
That would be the goal.
I agree.
All right, everyone.
Curious.
Have a great weekend.
Joy, there are not many big fights this weekend.
There's a Zoufakard with Johnny Fisher, my boy, Wana Walton, from MVP, is fighting
Henry Sohudo in your neck of the woods, Miami.
Nice.
In boxing?
Yeah.
Late replacement.
Henry Sudo is boxing.
He's boxing.
Wanda Walton, 20 years old.
Okay.
It was supposed to be Dean the Great, but he pulled out of the fight.
It was supposed to be Dean the Great versus Henry Sehudo.
Dean the Great pulls out with a quote-unquote shoulder injury.
Could have been a money thing.
So they called up MVP.
They got Wana Walton up.
Dude's insanely popular with his age group.
And it's a pretty good fight.
It got a lot of power.
How many faces?
Yeah.
Two.
Amateur pedigree.
He was a boxer first.
I got into acting.
I won some,
a lot of amateur tournaments
in the Georgia.
It's from Atlanta.
Good kid.
Good boxing area, actually, in Atlanta.
Yeah, it's got a great family.
Boxing culture.
We'll see how he,
I'm going to be tuned in for that
because I like Juana.
He's a friend of mine,
and I don't know.
So who, I don't,
he's not known for hands.
It's, uh,
it's friend versus friend because Henry's my friend.
Okay.
So it's your friend versus my friend.
So want to put some money?
Handshake.
Yeah, we might as well.
Gentlemen's bet.
Gentlemen's bet.
Come back on Sunday, talk about it.
Yeah, when's the fight Saturday?
Saturday night.
All right, let's think of some good, uh,
I think it's Darren Till, too.
Darren Till is, uh, bare knuckle boxing, uh, uh, Yuel Romero.
Darren Till is pretty damn good.
Yuel Romero.
I like Darren Till boxing, man.
He actually looks pretty damn good.
And Yuelo Your Mero is an absolute beast.
The fact that it's bare knuckle makes it very interesting.
Two things I don't usually watch.
Misfits and bare knuckle.
I think Till wins that fight.
I think Till beats...
Much younger.
Even though you were an arrow's in insane shape.
Bro.
I told you when I met him, I did that dirty boxing card, and he walked in the room.
I literally...
He scared everybody.
He is...
He sat down at the fighter meeting, and he basically just talked to me about Jesus Christ for 35 minutes.
35 minutes he spoke nothing about the fight
trying to save your soul
he didn't answer any questions
he just preached about
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
he walked out of the room
and I go
I was working with our boy
Ben the Bain Davidson
and I go
thank God that guy's religious
because if he wanted to come in here
and beat us all up at the same time
he 100% could
he's got to tone down his aggressive
He looks like he's, you know, he's in, he's got to be, what, 50?
Yeah, he's up there.
Bro, his, I want to test his testosterone.
It's got to be like 1,500.
He looks like a freak of nature.
Wow.
Yeah.
So that's what we got this weekend.
A couple of freak fights, a couple of fun fights.
We're almost in October.
October's when we get some good boxing at shows.
Anyway, have a great weekend.
We'll see you on Monday, Sunday.
Keep your hands at both times.
Protect yourself at all times today.
those DMs see you next time
