Hello
All right. Always a man of many words. We do start the show today off the top, acknowledging that today is Thursday, September 11th, the 24th anniversary of the horrible attacks on September 11th, 2001. Not just here in New York City, where we reside, the World Trade Centers, but also in Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon and then United Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. One of the darkest days, not only in this nation's history, but the world's history. So we continue.
to remember 24 years later, the lives lost and the many, many lives affected since then.
One of the darkest days and one of the most horrendous tragedies the world has ever seen.
Yeah, obviously, as a New Yorker, it was something, it's like an anniversary that it hits close to home.
And you growing up here, I was down in Georgia in like elementary school, you know, too young to really acknowledge what was happening.
You were here in high school, completely aware of what was going on.
I was a freshman in high school, remember the day, remember kind of how it all played out.
I was just starting my freshman year.
I was in science class at the Bronx High School of Science.
And I remember them, like, one of the kids somehow had heard.
I don't know how.
I guess we all had cell phones at that point, but it was like Team Mobile Sidekick's.
It wasn't like now where we'd be getting 10 alerts on our phones.
And somebody had heard about it.
And they started spreading the word.
Then the teacher actually turned on the television and started showing it.
they mobilized us. We all started going home. I called my mom because my mom worked in downtown.
My mom worked like in downtown Manhattan at a federal building nearby. And I was like, oh man,
and my mom called me. And one of my big regrets to this day is like I just kind of like wasn't that
present and wasn't thinking too much about it. I was just kind of like, I'm going home from school
and it's just another day. And I kind of didn't understand the gravity of it. But when I got home,
And seeing how shaking my mom was, it really, like, sobered me up and, and made me understand, like, what was happening here.
And, uh, yeah, the aftermath, um, everything about it. I, I, it's all, like, seared into my brain.
I remember every detail of, of kind of that day and that moment. And, uh, yeah, just absolute tragedy.
Heart goes out to everybody who lost people that day. And, and then the, the continued effects of it, right?
You hear about, like, the, the inhalation and all the things that still affect the first
responders to this day. And shout out to John Stewart, who does a great job like raising awareness for
this and funds as well for people that were affected by that. But an absolute tragedy of the
highest magnitude and a day that we should never forget, as the slogan very much says.
Yeah, I mean, you mentioned a lot of the people got cancers from everything that happened down
there. The injuries sustained that weren't fatal that they had to deal with, all the loss,
family members, parents, sisters, wives, husbands, everything like that. It truly
a tragedy. People always ask us, what should you come do when you're in New York City? And I
can't recommend the 9-11 Museum and ground zero enough. It really is, it gives you the full
gravity of the situation. They did an unbelievable job down there. One of the park rangers that
oversees, it says it's not a park, it's not a place to come visit. It's a cemetery. So they
treat it like that. So never easy to transition from that, a day of such gravity and such
remembrance. But we do have to continue on with the show. A massive weekend.
in combat sports ahead of us, Noce UFC, Canelo Crawford, sort of a Mexican theme going into
this weekend and some massive fights. Both the main events on each card are tremendous.
But we start with some news and notes before we get to that.
Mark Shapiro was on a Goldman Sachs call explaining essentially why the UFC didn't continue
their partnership with ESPN.
Mark, could you maybe talk a little more about these deals specifically and why ESPN and Paramount
are the right partners for for wb and ufc respectively well look i can't say enough about espn i mean they
were an extraordinary partner on the ufc a lot of our growth the fact that we're mainstream and
we're so young and we're so diverse and we're so global has a lot to do with the marketing machine
that is the walt disney company period end of story they are the definitive authority and stage
when it comes to sports having said that we knew they were not going to be there
at the price we wanted for UFC.
So while we had conversations, and across the timeline,
there was a time where they might have come in for some of the number of events,
which are the pay-per-views, or some of the fight nights, or all of the fight nights.
They were always in the mix, and they wanted to be in the mix.
And Bob Iger and Jimmy Petaro are a huge fan to the UFC,
and they have a great personal relationship with us and with Dana White.
So we never ruled them out, but we pretty much knew they weren't going to be able to get to a 2X,
and that's what we were setting our sights on.
So we pivoted them as soon as we knew that was going to be the case
into the PLEs to get the big increase on the WW.
The minute we did that, it really meant the UFC was going to be a small package
were they to stay.
So fascinating stuff there from Mark Shapiro essentially saying, like,
we knew that we weren't going to get the money that we wanted to continue UFC ESPN partnership.
So we pivoted, and that's why we ended up with the PLE deal with ESPN.
Yeah, saying that they needed 2X what the current deal with ESPN was going to be, or at least they seemed like after going out into the marketplace that that's what they were going to be able to get.
And realizing that ESPN was not going to be able to meet that number, you quickly pivot to like, hey, can we do some other type of deal?
But interesting to see that, like, man, they knew from the jump, like, how much it's going to be worth.
I don't think it was any accident when Dana White first early said a billion a year.
I think most people thought that could be realistic.
They ended up with more than that even.
But interesting to see that ESPN, who, as he said, was like a great partner.
They had a lot of affinity for ESPN.
They recognized how much growth they enabled them to have into a mainstream audience was not going to be the player.
This Paramount deal was like such a significant amount of money, a great platform for them.
It made a lot of sense.
I was curious whether ESPN, because I had been hearing ESPN was going to remain in this game,
but at that number, it just seems like they were kind of priced out.
And ESPN's also shelling out mad money right now,
Red Zone, getting the NFL network acquisition, like that,
and then obviously they have all the rights for SEC,
MLB Sunday Night Baseball, NHL, NBA,
everything that they have in between, college basketball.
So they were shelling it out, and they just recognized
they're probably not going to get the money here,
so they're able to look elsewhere.
And then being TKO, they still were able to get a great deal for the PLAs.
And ESPN ends up with WWB, which is a,
fantastic product and one that I think if you're doing the value if you're actually thinking about
the value that probably is the better deal if I'm being honest like that probably is the one that
on the price they are getting it is going to provide more dividends now you have that kind of like
awkwardness of scripted sports versus like actual live you know sports um but as you you had
talked to us about like you mentioned this yesterday on the show that you're seeing now on
Sports Center, you know,
WWE storylines and stars
and things like that, I think it'll integrate
nicely, that's a pretty good
value. So if I'm ESPN, I'm not, I'm not
mad about getting that package
as opposed to the UFC, especially at
the price that it seems like. Like, I'd be curious
what the number two offer was. Was it ESPN
at half? Or was there somebody who
was like kind of in the middle there, but besides
the paramount deal? I'd be curious what the
number two offer looked like. Yeah, I
wonder like what Netflix came to the table with.
100%. Like, maybe like YouTube, talk to him.
Apple TV, anything like that, it would be fascinating to know the comings and goings.
He mentioned in that call, like, all the other players were involved.
They talked to everybody, as you can imagine.
They're one of the last, like, sports rights that are going to be up, and you have to
have a conversation with everybody.
That would be my, like, burning curiosity is, like, what the other offers look like
besides ESPN and besides Paramount.
Some other news and notes, Iliott-A-Porya took to Twitter this past weekend and essentially
said, should me and Terrence Crawford fight?
How do you guys think it would go?
posted a picture of Terrence Crawford from
what appears to be a while ago
where Terrence was not in quite as good of shape
as he is now. He's obviously jacked
having to get up to 168 to fight Canelo.
This quite didn't quite show that.
Says who wins in a fight. He followed it up
with a tweet essentially about
Terrence Crawford isn't going to come to
MMA. I'd smash him if we were
here, but maybe we can do something in boxing. I still
think I beat him there as well.
And then Terrence Crawford was asked about it
during the press conferences for
Canello Crawford.
Ilya says that if you guys
have a boxed
he would knock you out
basically the first punch
I don't ask her with the question
I do it's drunk
I know a lot of
MMA guys
they drink a lot
so you must spend
what I alcohol
all right
so he says
he chucks it up
to Ilya
being drunk
we have seen him
during the weight cut
he likes to drink some wine
I think he's finally
stopped doing that
I don't think he's drunk
I think he's just wildly confident
maybe he's drunk
on his own confidence
yeah high in his own supply
yeah
And then Ilya Tuporia was doing a press conference at Wow FC, which he's a part owner of.
So it's kind of killed two birds with one stone with the, you know, he's a part owner.
And he also gets to talk about things like this.
Another press conference, everyone says he's always hosting press conference.
He's really just being a good owner of Wow FC.
He had this to say in response to Terrence Crawford.
I have no opinion.
Whenever he wants to measure himself, whenever he wants to test his technique and skills, I'm here to show him.
what bothers me lately is that a lot of boxers come out,
interfere with our game, criticize us, and try to put us down.
The truth is, there are many MMA athletes who have tried to go into boxing to test their skills,
but I don't know many of the boxers that talk so much that have actually tested themselves in MMA.
But in any case, whoever wants it, I'm here.
First of all, fantastic job reading that, because I was moving a little bit quickly.
Oh, no, no, I was translating.
I've been studying to a lingo.
I've been doing a big,
Every time I order my coffee here in the morning, I order in Spanish.
I've seen your streak.
Except you wouldn't roll the R there because it's just one single R.
See, I'm learning, I'm learning.
A little translation there for you.
Should we have just had you do the translation yesterday for Jaime?
I didn't want to offer it up.
You know, I'm a little bit more expensive than most, but yeah, maybe soon.
Maybe soon.
But yes, good job.
For me, this feels like the C.J.
Grand Theft Auto, here we go again.
meme, like
Connor McGregor. The best meme actually is like
you are in stage three of your
Connor McGregor journey. It's like, snap
your leg, come back, fight a
Dagestanian lose. Here's the thing that makes it a little
more interesting to me just from
like, I don't
ultimately think this will probably happen, at least not
anytime soon. But the thing that
makes this more interesting to me is
I think Terrence Crawford is the type of psychopath
who would take this challenge personally.
Right? Like, I will
get into Terrence Crawford later because I have a lot to say
about just Terrence Crawford in general as we do the breakdown of that fight, which I'm super
excited for.
But he is the type of crazy person that, like, oh, you challenged me, and now we must settle
this.
I don't ultimately think he would ever step into an octagon or ever step into a cage of any
sort with Iliate Toporia, but I definitely think it would cross his mind that if
Ilya wanted to box him, he would take on that challenge.
As far as Ilya goes, like, it's hard not to have the confidence that Ilya has when
you can do what Ilya Toporia does and just have never fallen short in your career to just
be able to continue to raise the stakes, raise the stakes, raise the stakes, and then meet the
situation and sometimes even exceed expectations as the competition has ratcheted up in the way
that Connor did before him. So it's just two supremely confident athletes in the same way we
had with Connor and Floyd who just felt like they are invincible. We are seeing that again in
these two guys and come Saturday we'll kind of find out about Terrence Crawford if he is like
every bit of that. Like Floyd was the guy
who has the O, who's the one who
never suffered defeat. If Terrence Crawford
gets to that territory, he's already
an all-time great. There's no doubt.
Quite frankly, Ilya is as well
in just a short career in the same way that Connor
McGregor was able to do it. It's a
fascinating thing just because I think
of how competitive those two are, but I
don't think this is on the horizon. I don't think this
is any time soon. I think
it's very obvious that respectively
in their individual sports,
Ilya would absolutely murder
Terrence Crawford in an octagon, and Terrence Crawford would beat the breaks off Iliot-A
in a boxing ring.
That's just what it is.
Zero question they're not getting into an MMA cage.
Terrence Crawford is turning 38 in three weeks.
You talk about time planning, everything like that.
Like, they will never get into an in an MMA cage together.
Also, Elia Teporia is 10 years younger than him, and he's way more skilled when it comes
to mixed martial arts.
He would actually beat the breaks off of him.
It would be an embarrassment for Terrence Crawford.
Now, boxing, I agree with you, he needs to keep the O.
I think it does hinge on this week.
I think if he remains undefeated, you really could start talking about like a massive super fight.
Is that happening anytime soon?
I doubt it.
I doubt it, but maybe one day down the line, because especially with the boxing, you can age more.
Like, a Terrence Crawford in boxing could be 40, 41, and box against Analia Toporia and, like, still be able to win.
But no chance of an M.M.A. fight.
It's worth noting, even though this may be obvious, but it's worth stating for the record, a big reason why a boxer would
never be compelled to go into
MMA because that's what Iliot's
Aporia's basis, right?
That was his response was
I see a lot of MMA fighters
willing to step into the boxing ring.
I don't see so many
boxers willing to step into
the cage.
There's a very obvious reason for that.
The boxers have a payday.
The boxers are making
significantly more money.
They do not need to go into your arena
because that would be a demotion
for them.
That would be a pay cut for somebody
of Terence Crawford's stature.
Terence Crawford is the one
with the big payday.
You would come to boxing.
the way Connor McGregor did to Floyd Mayweather
to get the biggest payday of his career.
We saw that interview with Amber Dixon of Las Vegas PBS
with Dana White talking about like
UFC fighters have never seen this kind of payday.
And Dana White's like, whoa, Connor McGregor.
And it's like, yeah, he did it against Floyd Mayweather.
Boxing match.
Terrence Crawford's the one with the money.
Terrence Crawford is the one who's offering Iliad an opportunity.
That's beyond the fact that a boxer stepping into the MMA octagon
would be horrifically bad decision just from a stylistic perspective.
He specializes this one facet of the game.
It'd be like a guy.
making millions off of being in a three-point shooting contest and then some guy comes along
as like, less money to play a full game against me? Exactly. Steph Curry's in a three-point
shooting contest and then LeBron comes along is like, how about one-on-one for less money? And it's
like, no way. I think I'll just stay over here in a three-point shooting contest against each
other. How about that? For a lot more fucking money. For a shit ton of money. Because any of these
guys that are getting into the realm of discussing a potential crossover fight with a UFC
superstar, like you said, are making that money. They're not on the undercards making
a thousand dollars a fight.
making tens of millions. The number that Floyd Mayweather would have to take a pay cut to
fight in an octagon would be baffling, would be like startling to people. Now, great, they'd
probably cut them a different type of check. But yeah, it's because all the leverage is on the
boxing side, and that's where the money's to be made. These guys that defend their oaths
so religiously, Floyd Mayweather, 50 and O, Terrence Crawford's 41 and O at this point,
it's just like, I'm going to step into an octagon and like almost certainly lose and get a lot
of damage inflicted on me, like, I'll pass.
We do have to give credit to Likesout James
Tony. He did it. He did it against Randy
Kattorre. He didn't look good, and
it went exactly as people were to-day.
You never know. This fucking Derek
Blas a double leg!
He's the
mythical, like, MMA fighter.
He's alien to poor him. Powerbop!
Let's get right into it this weekend.
Yes, please.
Aaron Crawford, taking on
one Canelo Alvarez
Allegiance Stadium. She'll be
roughly 65,000 people in attendance. Dana White claims that this is the third biggest gate
in boxing history, I believe, behind Maymac and Paciel Mayweather, the two before them,
free on Netflix. This is absolutely massive. It's as big as it gets. One thing to note,
if you aren't aware of it, obviously two massive superstars in the space. Terence Crawford
will be going up to 168, the highest weight class by far that he's ever gone up to. I mean,
he started his career at 135, 140 range.
Then he spent about five years at 147, and then recently to take on Madrimov, he moved up to 154, which did snap an 11-fight knockout streak for him.
So, like, you do have to wonder about the power transitioning up to that.
Now he steps all the way up to 168 to take on Canelo Alvarez, who is a natural at that weight class.
He's been fighting there for years and years.
Yeah, 100%.
You've accurately kind of laid out Crawford's like a cent.
The important part, I think, to note here is he was undisputed in two-way classes previously.
He's still a champion, but he was undisputed previously.
Canello is undisputed in the weight class, and this would be for, if Terrence Crawford wins,
this would be his third division that he's undisputed.
Third undisputed and fifth division with a major title.
And we've seen the likes of Pacquiao and others do this.
We have not seen a man do the three division undisputed.
the only person ever to do that before was
Clarissa Shields who has done it but we have not seen a man do that
it would be monumental it would be historic and he's
he he's he's got a tough task ahead of him
but he's this guy who always rises to the challenge
and it's it's an opportunity that I think he has earned
on on what's like it it's an interesting position
because I think a lot of people think of Canello as the like
veteran here compared to Terrence Crawford
because of the miles, because of the number of fights,
because he's been fighting longer.
Teres Crawford is older.
Fighting in the spotlight longer as well.
Certainly.
Like has been in massive fights for 15 years.
Yeah.
And it's all fair and accurate.
I have a hard time determining, like,
the last performance for Terrence Crawford,
I was impressed by,
and I'll give more on that in a second.
But I'm kind of painting this picture to say,
like, he's the older fighter,
but I don't know if he's lost a step.
I don't know if because of the age,
I would be looking at Terrence Crawford
and being like, okay, this is the tail end.
He could box,
for quite a bit longer because of how relentless he is and how good his conditioning is,
I have a feeling he could walk away tomorrow and just be like, I'm good, I did everything in
boxing, or probably after Saturday, if he does walk away, or he could stay around and have
these type of fights. Maybe he waits around and does hope that Iliot Topori or somebody could do
that. But the thing with Terrence Crawford is, the last performance, I think, has scared a lot
of people away, right? Like, it's kind of been this roller coaster of, okay, Terrence is coming up,
realistically three divisions, right?
And going on to face Canelo,
he's going to be so much smaller.
Then you see them next to each other and you go,
oh shit,
Terence Crawford's really not much smaller than Canelo Alvarez,
like if smaller at all.
But then you see the performance that he had at 154
and you go, oh man,
the power didn't really translate.
As you said, snapped a finishing streak.
I'm attributing,
I've gone through all this.
I've ridden this roller coaster.
I thought about all this.
I ultimately feel like Madrimov was just a very difficult opponent.
He's a very awkward fighter to face.
He's a very tricky style.
It was probably not the fight that you take to showcase Terrence Crawford heading into a Canelo fight.
Fortunately, it worked out for him.
But I think I attribute that more to the puzzle that Madrimov is and Terrence Crawford having to kind of find the gears later in the fight than necessarily his power not translating.
I think his power is going to be fine.
I don't know if it's going to be enough to finish Canello.
who has that dog.
Unbelievable chin, dog.
Yeah, like Mexican heart.
Like, he's the definition of that type of fighter.
But I'm less concerned of the idea that, like,
he's not going to be able to fight Canelo at that weight class.
Truth be told, like, Canelo's small for the weight class.
And, like, Canelo is not a huge guy,
and that's kind of been the story on why he's so impressive.
Because even as the smaller man in a lot of his fights,
he still finds a way.
But I've ridden this roller coaster of, like,
how's Terrence going to do with the higher weight class?
ultimately I've kind of like erased all that from my mind
and just looked at on paper
Terrence Crawford, Kenilo Alvarez,
size, negligible, skill for skill,
who's going to be the guy?
I'm not putting too much stock into.
Well, at 154, he didn't really seem to have it.
I'm not really putting a ton of stock into that.
I can't help but put stock into the weight classes.
I mean, Crawford came out a couple years ago after the Spence win
and said himself that the highest that he would go up to
is 154.
He told Hot 97 that in an interview.
He was just like, yeah, weight classes exist for a reason.
I don't think I'd go above.
He says right here, I would say 154 is my highest weight class, realistically.
Then boys get big up there.
There are weight classes for a reason and I respect the weight classes.
Talking about 154 being the limit, now he's going all the way up to 168.
I mean, you have to think that, like, at his age, he's about to turn 38 years old.
He's essentially accomplished everything at these weight classes below him.
He could continue to gather fights at 154, but he's getting this opportunity against Canella Alvarez,
who would be far and away, irregardless of weight class or anything,
the biggest name on his resume, the most decorated name on his resume.
It would be the win that can really be like, damn, bro, he also beat Canello Averas.
And you add on the moving up to 168, it would be the biggest achievement of his career by far.
Now you're getting a massive payday with it being on Netflix, being at Allegiance Stadium.
You're getting Dana White and Turkey L.L. Schiekevalt.
It's like an opportunity that he essentially could not pass up.
Whether he thought he could go beyond 154 or not, it's just like, damn, man, this is a massive opportunity for me.
Yeah, and I don't think he would be competing at this one.
weight. It is simply because
the name Canelo Alvarez is in front of him. There's no
way in my mind do I think that
Terrence Crawford would be fighting in this weight class or taking
on opposition in this weight class. First of all,
he could go up one more and try to get a title
there. There's absolutely no reason he'd have to jump
to from his previous fight.
The name Canelo Alvarez is
the one that brings you there. And I think
stylistically, like, it's a decent
matchup for Terrence. Even
look, if you're putting stock into that, I don't blame
anybody. I'm kind of like erasing that. As I
said, I'm more crediting Madremon
with being such a difficult puzzle to solve.
He's such an awkward guy.
As I said, it is not the, like, showcase fight that you really probably wanted.
You would have wanted somebody who was, like, a little more meat and potatoes.
The guy who's meat and potatoes these days is Canelo Alvarez.
Like, truth be told, he has lost some of the things that have made him the prolific superstar that he was in his prime.
It's a lot of plotting forward.
It's a lot of body work.
It's a lot of, it's a lot less of the, like, you know,
speed and agility. It's a lot more of the power and sitting down on shots. And we're also,
like, not for nothing, we're not seeing him finish the fights lately. Yeah, on a long decision streak.
Yeah. So, again, as I said, a smaller man in a weight class where he's typically like the smaller
guy in fighting bigger opponents. But for me, the Canello of five years ago, right, I don't
think this is even a question. I think that guy walks through Terrence Crawford. And I...
Which is you're not the only person I've heard say this.
this sort of like turn back the clock with Canello and like he dominates this fight.
I've heard, you know, I heard Max Kellerman saying it and I've heard other pundits saying it as well.
And it's like, wait, like Terrence Crawford's about to turn 38.
Canello is 35.
Like he's almost three full years older than Canello.
It's the miles. It's the miles.
Canelo has been fighting since he was in fucking diapers.
And it's ridiculous how long he has been great.
Like he is the face of the post Mayweather like generation.
Like he is the one who took the mantle and just kind of became.
The Face of Boxing, the biggest name.
Tyson Fury maybe kind of had a little bit of claim for a little while.
Some of the heavyweights, right?
Conno's been that persistent, consistent.
But Canelo's been the guy.
He's been the face of boxing for a very long time now post-Mayweather.
And even like starting with that Mayweather fight, which he lost.
And I think it was just obviously too soon, right?
That, man, if they had run that back a little bit later, two, three years,
it would have been interesting to see how that goes.
I returned to the point that five years ago that Canello, there's no.
doubt in my mind. That was pound for pound number one. I would have taken him easily.
This version of Canelo, I'm hesitant. I'm skeptical. I have more questions about him at this point than I do about Terrence Crawford because I just like the performances are not matching the guy that I know he can be. The performances are not matching that guy from five years ago.
As I said, it's a little more flat footed. It's a little more sitting down on those body shots. It's a little bit less of the guy that became the super prospect that.
he became after the Mayweather fight
whereas for Terrence
like yes
I don't think he's going to knock Canello out
and I don't think he was ever going to knock Canello out
That would be a shocking outcome
It would be insane
I don't think that was ever going to be the thing
I think Terrence Crawford is going to be a little bit nastier
A little bit craftier
A little bit more technical
And in the opportunities
Where Canello is in a lull
In the opportunities where
Canello is kind of taking his time
I think that that's where Terence Crawford is going to
I think this is a style that really favors him.
Whereas the Madrimov fight, I did not think.
I thought Terrence Crawford would win that fight,
but I did not think it was going to be like this blowout
because of how awkward Madrimov is.
Canelo is not that.
Canelo, you know what you're getting with Canelo.
The problem is most people can't still weather that storm.
Like, he's still extremely powerful.
He's still extremely aggressive.
He still crowds you to the point that you really don't have a lot of airspace to breathe.
The cutting off the ring is not as good anymore, right?
It used to be he's an absolute Terminator.
He's cutting you off and you're cooked.
Now it's a little more following than cutting off, right?
Like when the footwork starts to slow down,
all of a sudden it's not as easy to corner people.
It's not as easy to cut off the ring.
I think we're seeing that version of Canelo now.
Maybe he's refreshed.
Look, maybe he shows up and it's prime Canello.
I'd love to see that because I think Terrence Crawford is a challenge
deserving of that.
But ultimately, I do think he slipped more than I think people are kind of attributing
to Terrence Crawford in that magic.
him off fight. I'm super excited about it because I think the playing field has kind of been
evened. I mean, you talk about like he hasn't been getting knockouts, hasn't had a knockout
since the Caleb plant fight in 2021. It's a while. Is there any argument that like this is a
fight you talk about turning back the clock? Like this is a fight that he's really getting up for.
I mean, he has 67 professional fights and his and his latest one was against William Skull,
Edgar Berlanga before that, who was a bit of a name but just was outclassed and that one.
Jaime Mangia, John Ryder. Has him been pressed. Has not been going against a massive superstar where
He's not going into that fight.
I'm just like, I'm probably going to dominate this one.
I mean, he typically comes in as a massive favorite against these dudes.
Is Terrence Crawford the one where it's like, all right, this is super fight level?
This is Netflix.
This is a stadium show that we're going to sell out.
Massive gate.
Like, huge things on the line.
It's time to turn back the clock and bring back the old Canella.
It's a fair point.
And if you told me that Canello took his foot off the gas for the William Skull fight because he was...
He was setting up this fight and just didn't want to slip on a banana peel.
I'd believe you.
But the last couple have been this.
like Cinello has just basically looked like this.
I tend to believe that this is more just the Conello we're going to see from here on out.
But I would believe if you told me that he hasn't been challenged, right?
He hasn't felt motivated to get up and Terrence Cofford would be the one to do it.
On the other side of the ledger, I said I would return to this.
Terence Crawford is the most singularly motivated athlete I've ever been around or encountered in my entire life.
Terence Crawford, when it comes to competition,
I've never quite seen anybody who is like him in terms of
when I was starting my early career at ESPN, like 2019,
one of the first things we did outside of like promoting the UFC
because the UFC debuted in January.
One of the first things I did as a social producer at ESPN
was promote Terrence Crawford versus Ameri Khan,
which happened at MSG.
Terrence Crawford blew through him
and the rest is history
it kind of went on to an epic run
but Top Rank was a partner with ESPN at that time
and one of the first things I did was that
Terrence and Amir both came into Seaport
to do first take and do some social content
and other things like that
and just being around Terrence for any amount of time
something will come up
hey there's a chess board right there
I think he actually either brought a chess board
or there was a chess board there
Beaumac we need to play chess
just every single thing is a competition in his life
and he doesn't lose
and if he's throwing darts
and there was like a video of him
like the guy throws bulls eyes
he is just that he is a one of one specimen
he is a level of athlete that like
cannot be measured
and I talked when we were talking about
Ilya like never suffering defeat
like Terrence Crawford has gone through his entire life
competing with people and dominating people
it has been what he is known for the entire time
he prepares himself in a way
that like losing is not an option
there is no alternative and that is not a possible outcome.
This opportunity for him feels bigger than the opportunity for Canelo.
If Canelo wins, Canelo is supposed to win this fight.
Let's call it what it is.
Canelo is the bigger man.
Terence Crawford's coming up and wait.
Canello is the face of boxing.
At least like maybe people can start making claims to others.
Like you talk about a Ryan Garcia or Tank Davis or anybody else,
I still feel like Canelo is probably the biggest name, the one that if you tell people the names,
they will recognize that one the most.
he's one of the faces of boxing
he's the one who's been doing it for so long
he is supposed to win this fight
this is the fight that he is supposed to
thwart Terrence Crawford
but I think Terence Crawford will take that as
disrespect and a challenge and
rise to the occasion
I'm such a believer of Terrence Crawford
I have him still number one pound for pound
I've not been swayed by Usik I've not been swayed
by Inouye or anybody else
I still feel like from the Errol Spence
fight onward nobody is better than
Terrence Crawford I think he's the number one pound for pound
fighter. And in believing that, I do believe that he can go up to Canello's weight and beat him. That is
ultimately where I'm at. It would be one of the greatest achievements we've seen in the sport. It would be
unbelievable. It's hard to wrap my head around it. I think Canello is the rightful favorite in this one,
and I am picking him. I would assume that we're going to be going against each other with the
way that you're talking about. But yeah, I mean, to witness it happen, it almost feels like you say
this is the bigger fight. There's more on the line for Crawford here. I wonder if the pressure
gets to him at all. How much is on the
line? I can promise you
if Terrence Crawford loses his fight
it's because the weight was too much
he just didn't translate.
At the end of the day that
that is my prediction. I think the weight will be too much.
It's possible and I think that's a totally
possible outcome. Seeing them next to each other
also seeing the shape that Terrence Crawford is in
right now, I'm confident that he's built his
body up to be able to compete against Canelo
but man, when those body
shots start coming in from Canelo
it's a little bit different than when when the
guys at 147, 154 are landing those body shots.
Like, Canelo really knows how to land that.
Terrence Crawford can be hit there.
It will be interesting to see how he holds up to that.
That's what's going to be the difference.
It will definitely not be the stage.
It will definitely not be the moment.
Terrence Crawford is a one-of-one, a freak when it comes to competition.
You're also carrying that weight in there as well.
100%.
I mean, this is 20 pounds, 21 pounds heavier than just you were fighting at just a couple years ago.
The speed, the power, the shots that you're taking, it's just going to be a different
world for him. It's going to be a completely different
type of fight than he is used to.
I'm also confident in his training.
I'm also confident in the people he has around him.
I mean, how many times do we have to see
photos of Shakurr Stevenson,
Terrence Crawford? Like, the pound
for pound, Andre Ward. Yeah, exactly.
The pound for pound kings of
boxing, just continuing to kind of like
sharp iron, sharpening iron.
There's no, I do not believe
that if Terrence Crawford loses his fight,
it's because he left a stone unturned.
It will be because that weight was too much.
there's another option
which is Canelo Alvarez
was not motivated for these last couple
of fights. Canelo Alvarez did not
see a person in front of him that made him
trained to the level that he might train for this fight.
If that is the case and you propose that
idea, I think that's entirely possible
that he rises to the occasion and
says, Terence Crawford is the best guy I'm going to
face before my career is over. Because
after this, there's really nobody as good as Terrence Crawford
that he's going to face again. There's nobody in my
opinion in the world good as Terrence Crawford.
He's not going to fight anybody on the tail end
of this career. That's going to be as good as Terrence Crawford.
Get to that level one more time, beat this guy, and then you can kind of go back to coasting
through.
It really is, like, the last time.
This is it.
He will get to this level.
No, 100%.
It could be the last time we see him in a stadium show.
100%.
And he could, like, Canella is good enough.
He could do this for a long time.
Like, he could continue to do this.
But this is going to require an effort that I don't think that he's shown in the past four or five fights.
Oh, 100%.
I think it's going to take a Herculean.
effort from both dudes. And with the toughness of
Canello Alvarez, the skill of both
these guys, the toughness of Terrence Crawford,
I favor it to go to the judge's scorecards.
Probably. I think it will be a close
fight, and I think it could get sweaty
from there. I wouldn't be surprised
if Canello was able to stop him
just from the... I think if a stoppage comes, it's
coming from Canello. Like, if
Crawford finishes this dude, it will be one
the craziest things I've ever seen. Man, I think he's
capable of it because of how
fantastic I think he is. Again,
he's my number one pound for pound. I've never
wavered from that from the moment he beat
Aral Spence on. And you get it by going up to
168, getting undisputed
at this weight class, and being
the first man to stop Canola Alvarez. Yeah, it will be
nuts.
That would be crazy. The Canello stoppage
to me probably comes from
man, like
this is a lot of extra weight to be carrying.
I'm not moving as fast. I'm sitting there
and what Canello is laying in those body shots,
it's going to be real hard for Terrence to deal with.
That's probably where I see the stoppage.
Just an accumulation to the point that
like he breaks down Terrence.
And in his prime, that was what Canello did over and over and over to people.
He's the Terminator.
He's walking forward.
He's laying those body shots in.
He's going off top.
And all of a sudden, that just relentless pressure, that wave crushes you.
Terence is kind of that same type of guy.
It's a little bit of a different style.
But he's that same type of guy where his relentless pace is relentless pressure,
which we did not see as much against Madrimov.
Again, I think because of the style.
It's going to be interesting to see who's on the front foot.
who's more agile? Who's more powerful? The power is going to be a huge factor in this.
Ultimately, I do think if it's going to be a stoppage, I lean toward Canello. But man, I just think
the world of Terrence Crawford, I believe in him so much. And I'm so excited for this fight because
I truly believe this is like two of the best right now, but definitely two of the best of all
time. I'm no stranger to doubting Terrence Crawford. I bet on Earl Spence Jr. in that fight.
It took about two rounds where I was like, yeah, I'm fucked. This was a, this was a
bad call on my part. There's a point
around 6-7 where it's like,
okay, this is actually just getting mean.
The things that Terrence Crawford was going to him.
Yeah, completely annihilated
of let him know that there are levels to this game
and he is far, far above those levels. Have we seen
Earl Spence fight since then? I don't think so.
Did he fight one time? He might have fought one time.
Maybe he fought once, but man, he got
absolutely obliterated in that one. They were
talking about doing a rematch at 154, that obviously
never came to be. No, he has not fought since.
Yeah, I had a feeling he hadn't. I think he was
booked, but maybe that fell apart. But
He was putting together an insane career up until that point,
and now it's been over two years.
Well, that's why that fight was so impressive,
and Terrence became my number one and has not moved since, pound for pound.
Those are two top pound-for-pound guys,
and he absolutely dismantled him.
He took him apart in a way that very few could even fathom to do.
There was something, like, really stupid on why I bet him.
Like, there was like some sort of Earl Spence tied to sharks or something.
Oh, the big fish thing, yeah.
The big fish, and they fought on Shark Week.
Yes.
It was the dumbest game.
I think bad of my life, and it cost me dearly.
It cost me dearly. You fell for a gimmick.
Oh, fell for a gimmick. It was quite dumb of me.
All right. Official prediction. Final prediction.
Terrence Crawford wins the fight. I don't know. I ultimately think it would be a decision,
but I don't think stoppidge is out of the question. I think it's unlikely of the two of Pichnello to stop.
I'm going Terrence Crawford just because I believe he is the ultimate winner. He is the Tiger Woods.
He is the LeBron. He is the Michael Phelps. He is the Yussein Bolt. He's to me that caliber of athlete. He's the Tom Brady. I believe
Terrence Crawford to that degree. I'm going Canelo
Alvarez's a majority decision.
I believe it. It's very possible.
That's what I love so much about this fight. I could see
any of these outcomes. It's such an
incredible fight because of when it's
happening. Again, five years ago, yeah,
Canello. Canelo all day. No problem.
Now, okay. Like, I think it's a fight.
Let's see what happens here.
If you guys were curious, my Dorman, who loves
boxing, adores boxing.
His official prediction is
Canelo Alvarez rounds
five through seven, K.O.
Yeah, I could see it.
Shout out to him.
Shout out to him, man.
So take that one to the bank,
the Dorman Special
on that one.
Shout out.
A couple other fights on this one,
Callum Walsh.
Shout out.
Dana White's favorite boxer.
Your favorite promoters' favorite boxer,
King Callum Walsh taking on
Fernando Vargas Jr.
I mean, this is a massive spot for him, dude.
Home main event is kind of when people start
tuning in being like, oh,
fights getting ready to start here's pretty soon.
Let's get it on.
And you'll be watching King Callum Walsh,
taking on an undefeated Fernando Vargas.
Yeah, and this is kind of,
of the ZUFA, you know, representation here.
Yeah, I was going to say, like, the Zufa portion of the card, because we saw when Dana
White was in that interview with PBS, he talked about how it's going to sort of
be more of like a closer to contender series than it is going to be, like, putting on
these massive cards.
Yeah, and this is the representation, right?
Colin Walsh's nearly, like, his entire career has kind of been playing out on UFC
Fight Pass in boxing matches where Dana White's, like, his de facto promoter.
And so this is a, as you said, this is a huge spot.
but, you know, Fernando Vargas Jr. is not a walkover, not a pushover.
The betting odds, to me, feel a little bit wider than I would have expected.
We were talking about it behind the scenes, and you're like, oh, man, I think Callum Walsh will probably be an underdog in that one.
Callum Walsh, minus 380, Fernando Vargas, plus 270.
I look, Callum Walsh is a good boxer, and I think a lot of people who train with him and are around him have kind of said as much, right?
that Kalim Walsh is the real deal.
Man, this is a stage, though, that I think is a lot different
than, like, that UFC fight passage.
The Sain't the Hulu Theater down at MSG, man.
This ain't you get the robbery decision
in front of 3,000 people.
This is Allegiant Stadium on Netflix
right before Canelo Crawford-Hafson.
This is as light as those brights are going to get.
And there's a real chance that he rises to that opportunity.
The betting odds would say that that's what's going to happen.
So we're going to see,
know if I don't know if Vargas is that should be that big an underdog, but ultimately I do probably
think that Callum Walsh is able to get the fight done. I'm surprised, though. I'm surprised that he's
getting this big of a favorite from the books, but we'll see. I mean, you know, again, it's not
like I'm, this is dog or pass for me and I'm passing. It's not like I'm just like Fernando
Vargas Jr., like I'm all over it. But I do believe this is going to be like a relatively tough
fight. I don't think this is just going to be like a Callum Walsh showcase.
Um, it would be smart for, like, we have seen in the past on cards like this, right?
Like on Mayweather McGregor, I believe it was Jervante Davis who was like in the Co-Main or,
or like a featured bout, who just became a star from that, right?
Oh, yeah, it was Jervante Davis on, uh, was it Maymac?
That's what, no.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying?
Yeah, yeah.
What did I say?
Oh, I didn't hear you saying about, my bad.
Yeah, I think it was Maymac where it was like Jervante Davis, he came out with the purple, uh,
or maybe even the pink like Cameron.
Fur, and everybody was like, who the hell is this guy?
Now, boxing fans obviously know who you, who Jervante Davis was, but the wide audience
that was tuning in for Maymac, who had never seen a guy like this before, are like,
oh, wow, this is a guy.
He goes on to become a megastar.
I would say 99% of the audience this weekend will not know who King Callum Walsh.
Exactly.
And so this is an opportunity for him to kind of like stamp his arrival and be everything
that I think Dana White and Zufa have kind of like pushed him toward.
This is that do or die.
This is that make or break moment.
And so we'll see for Callum Walsh.
I'm interested to see how this goes.
Me too.
But, you know, like, what from here is going to be interesting?
Like, does he become a Gervante Davis type?
I don't think he's quite as good or skilled as Gervante Davis, right?
That's, like, the full massive knockouts.
Well, Jervante Davis, the thing that's special about him is he's otherworldly power.
Like, I don't think that Callum Walsh has any attributes like that where I'm just like, okay, this guy has this thing that he can just go to.
Jervante Davis has been losing fights.
and it's...
Oh yeah, that left hand catches you.
Deante Wilder, Jervante Davis.
There's a few guys like that
where it's just like, oh, fuck,
it doesn't matter.
It's round nine,
and they hit me, and I'm going to sleep.
So we'll see a huge spot,
huge opportunity on a card
that is going to be watched by millions.
Very interesting to see what happens.
Featured bout of the evening,
Christian Mbili,
whereas Ariel likes to say,
Christian Bili,
taken on Lester Martina
as the interim WBC Super Middleweight Championship.
obviously the undisputed super middleweight championship going down in the main event.
This dude, if we have the picture here, this dude is absolutely jacked to the gills.
Four of his last five wins coming by knockout.
I would not want to take a punch from that, man.
He is yoked, undefeated 29 and 0 for the Frenchman going for 30 and 0.
Could potentially get a highlight real knockout in a very big spot here on Saturday night.
He's only a slight favorite, right?
Let's see.
Christian Mb.
Minus 172.
Yeah, so.
Not a huge favorite, man.
I mean, it's a decent size, but it's not like a massive guy, a massive favorite, rather.
Another guy who it's a huge spot for, right?
You're fighting on a card where this could mean you're getting a big opportunity against somebody, you know, who is at the top of the card or some permutation, right?
You're at least putting your name into the mix.
Huge opportunity for him.
Another one who it's like, okay, let's see.
if you can rise to the occasion. And I think they've smartly kind of set this up, right?
They've structured this, at least this portion of the card to be very smart in terms of spinning
this forward. Yeah, well, honestly, if you like look at the card itself, the Canelo fight is
minus 160 plus 145. Callum Walsh, like, yeah, he's a big favorite. Minus 380 plus 270. And
Billy, minus 172 plus 134. Surhey Boeuch. It's only a minus 450. Like, in terms of boxing,
These are like fairly closely lined fights.
Yeah, because you say that for anybody who's not aware,
like a lot of times in boxing,
until you get to like championship fights,
it's a lot of one-sided type of- Oh yeah, minus 3,000.
Sometimes you see these guys at minus 20,000.
Yeah.
It's like, what are we doing here?
Like, we're just adding a number to the record at this point.
This to me feels more like, you know, a UFC type card, right?
Where it's like, okay, we're going to see some live fights.
And the outcomes are not kind of like,
you know,
premeditated.
The outcomes are not like,
we're looking for this guy
to have a highlight real performance.
Even in Callum Walsh,
again,
like I think the odds
are a little wider
than I would have expected.
I expect that to be a competitive fight
as well.
So like it's an interesting card.
Not,
like all of this pales in comparison.
This is just going to be like
people sitting on the couch
chewing onto popcorn.
Maybe somebody does a highlight real knockout
that like gets them ready.
Yeah.
When the main event comes
is when the fight really.
Oh, that was pretty crazy.
Yeah.
When's the fight start?
Exactly.
All right, that is the Canelo Crawford card going down this weekend at Allegiance Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Netflix.
Watch it here with us.
Watch it here with us.
Yes, watch party.
945, 10 o'clock start?
Let's do 945.
Look at that.
You are seeing the behind the scenes of our production meeting.
We just decided 945 Eastern start time for that watch party.
We will be watching it with you.
Live on Netflix, pull up the side screen, maybe the phone on the desk.
You can watch our reactions to it.
the bets. We'll have the breakdowns. We'll have everything live going with that fight right here on
the area. I'll want a YouTube channel. Before we break down the rest of the weekend, Notche UFC,
a couple of debutsi UFC, a couple of debutsi happening as well that we'll talk about. We'll take a
quick break. We'll be right back. Don't go anywhere. All right. We're back on the program here.
Canella Crawford, not the only fights going down this weekend. We also got Noce UFC taking place
in San Antonio. What's supposed to be Guadalajara? Wasn't it supposed to be Vegas?
They were originally supposed to do it in Mexico.
Yes, thank you, thank you.
They were supposed to do it in Mexico, but they didn't get the stadium ready in time.
I heard they were going to move it to Vegas.
Then Canelo Crawford got booked from Vegas, then they moved it.
Yeah, yeah.
Wasn't it originally supposed to be the 20th?
Something like that, yeah.
They didn't want to compete with Connolly Crawford.
Either way, what we end up with is Saturday, September 13.
San Antonio.
San Antonio.
We were also kind of hoping for Diego Lopez, J.
Yeah, we sure were.
The beef there, especially if you wanted to put it in Guadalajara.
It really would have been great, but.
Diego Lopez, Jean-Silva is what we end up as the main event.
I am mad.
I am not mad.
It's an unbelievable main event.
I was going to say the last negative thing I'll say about it,
maybe not the best Noce UFC effort we've seen over the three cards.
It can't really count last years because it was a pay-per-view.
But even the first one here, you were getting a title fight.
Yeah, honestly, because they upped it to the pay-per-view and the sphere.
But even the first one, you were getting a title fight with Valentina Shepchenko and Alexa Grasso.
Jack Della Madelana was on that card
fighting Kevin Holland
stacked with
with Mexican fighters
Roses was on it
Tracy Cortez fighting
Jasmine Jazz de Vicious
like it was a solid card
This one

Featured about
Just
Main event's great
Main event is great
I don't think it's any shock
or surprise for me
For me from the perspective that
that was Dana White's baby
The Sphere
Noche
That was Dana White's baby
Now he's got two more
babies and this one has been a baby this week is canelo crofford white house card those are
where dana white's focus attention eyeballs brain power have all been focused noche is kind of just not
it's it's it's it's that first child that now you're pushing off to the side because you had a new baby
and dropping the and yeah exactly i don't want to play with you anymore uh exactly right that toy's old
and and we we get rid of it so um it's not a surprise to me the main event to me is a gem is a jewel
is worthy of
headlining this card
don't get me wrong
I'm with you
like Yayr Rodriguez
versus Diego Lopez
that was the one for me
there's genuine bad blood there
and now to their credit
it seems like Diego and John Silver
trying to like up the stakes
and up some of the trash talk
and the bad blood there
but it doesn't feel nearly as significant
as it would have been
if it was Yayir and Diego
that said
stylistically fight wise
like this one's a little bit better
This one's a little bit better for me, yeah.
Even if you're going by the rankings, that would have been two versus three.
For some reason, Yair continues to remain in the top five.
It's an odd one.
Sean Silva's 10, don't care.
I like this fight better in terms of the fight itself.
Yeah.
So we're getting a good one here.
You go first.
Tell me your lean on this, because I have a pretty strong feeling on this.
The first thing that stuck out to me is obviously, you know, I'm going through typology.
I'm going through fight odds.
I know, everything like that, just kind of digesting the card.
First thing that jumps out to me is that Diego Lopez.
is a plus 235 to John Silva after being a plus 130 to one of the greatest featherweights of all time, Alex Volcanovsky, just a few months ago back in April, puts on a competitive fight, drops them at the end of round two, 4847 on one of the judge's scorecards, and now...
Huge dog.
John Silva beats Bryce Mitchell, and we're getting a plus 235 price tag on it.
I mean, this would be easily the biggest win of John Silva's career to this point.
You're getting a guy who is dog tough in Diego Lopez.
both these dudes are incredibly tough, but Diego Lopez especially, like, he has that will,
he has that dog in him, that refusal to quit, that refusal to give in.
We've also seen him get into some crazy exchanges, some wars, he's got a chin on him.
And if John Silva isn't able to get him out of there, which he's been able to do to essentially
all of his opponents in the UFC, this fight's going to get very interesting to me.
I don't think it's going to be the line keeps ballooning.
Jean Silva opened as like a minus 180.
Now he's approaching minus 250, minus 300 territory.
If this fight goes all 15 minutes, I don't think it's going to look like that in hindsight.
Because on top of all of that, Sean Silva will engage in these wars, and Diego Lopez can absolutely crack, man.
Like, dropped Volcanovsky at the end of the second round, hurt Brian Ortega bad at the beginning of that fight.
It looked like he was about to get him out of there.
It looked like he hit him, knocked him out, and then as he was on the way down, hits him again and wakes him back up.
And Brian Ortega, obviously, as tough as they come.
and then has a run of first round finishes before that.
So, like, bro, the toughness of Diego Lopez
combined with the aggressiveness,
the finishing prowess both on the feet and on the ground,
I don't think this is going to be as easy
a fight as the odds indicate for John Silva.
I love that. You said that.
Because I think it is going to be as easy
to fight as the odds of it for John Silva.
We're disagreeing on both main events. I love it.
Yeah.
I'm going dog UFC favorite boxing.
You're going dog boxing favorite UFC.
Yeah, I ultimately, Diego Lopez can crack, no doubt.
And you've laid out the case for Diego Lopez.
The case for Diego Lopez is, in a firefight, he's got a bazooka, right?
He has got an absolute knockout cannon that he has employed on people.
And he's tougher than most guys, right?
Like, we saw Alexander Volcanowski, like, kind of hit him with some brutal stiff counters, and he's just there.
And he's just standing there still coming forward.
But what we also saw in that Volcanovsky fight is there's holes for Diego Lopez.
There's holes in the striking that he leaves wide open.
He's a looping puncher.
He just has opportunities to be countered.
And Alexander Volkanowski, who, as you said, which is important to note, is the best of the best.
Like, Alexander Volcanowski is Islam Makachev and Ilya Teporia.
Those are the names that you have to beat him.
And there are some people who think, like, maybe give Alex another crack at Ilya.
Maybe he gets it done.
Like, it's one of those, right?
Like, it's like, he is as good as they come.
He's the one who's able to exploit the holes.
Can somebody who's like, John Silva's level, maybe he can be Oggs under Volcanovsky's level, but he has not proven that yet.
Can he exploit them?
Personally, I think he can because I think as a striker, John Silva is on a completely different level.
I agree.
I was, as I was going through it, that is the main argument to make for John Silva.
Like, when you talk about just skill for skill, the striking is better for John Silva.
he is so much craftier
he is so much less meat and potatoes
it's not just like waiting for the hooks
he's so he's such a finisher
when he sees those opportunities he's such a killer
like even in the Bryce Mitchell fight
who don't get me wrong like on the feet
I'm talking about how I believe
John Silva is levels above Diego Lopez
John Silva is levels above Bryce Mitchell
when it comes to standing on the feet
nothing to offer him nothing to offer him
but we saw in that fight
what we saw in that fight was patience right
John Silva was really hammering
Bryce Mitchell till he saw the perfect
opportunity to be able to take him out.
He's so crafty, he's patient, he's so good with the counters, he's going to be throwing
straighter shots.
I think Diego Lopez is going to give him opportunities.
The thing that worries me a little bit about John Silva is sometimes he wants to get into a dog
fight because he's as crazy and tough as Diego Lopez is.
He might just want to stand there and slug, and that leaves the whole open for Diego
Lopez to land that shot.
If he does not, though, I think he's just going to have so many striking openings that he's
going to be able to pick Diego Lopez apart and maybe finish him with something pretty nasty.
It's going to come, for me, it comes down to is Diego Lopez going to try to take this to the
mat. Because on the mat, that's where Diego Lopez really shines.
Like, we don't see that lately because Diego Lopez has been so good on the feet and he's been
able to control fights in that way, his pressure and his power.
But on the mat, Diego Lopez is an absolute nightmare, man. He's a terror. Like, we saw him go
toe to toe with Mavsar on short notice. Like, he's a really, really good grappler.
Nasty on the mat, nasty subs.
And he's also,
Every time I look on his Instagram,
he's at Oklahoma State and Stillwater
with David Taylor training with the wrestling team,
a national championship contending wrestling team.
Well, that's the thing.
A lot of times the jiu-jitsu guys,
like the jiu-jitsu players,
the wrestling isn't there.
It's more of the like trips, sweeps,
pulling guard, that type of thing.
He's a guy who's been working the wrestling
and has an opportunity to maybe utilize that
to get into that submission game.
It will be interesting to me to see if he pursues that.
if he stands on the feet, which I expect that that's probably what's going to likely happen.
I also believe John Silva might be able to kind of like thwart the grappling if it comes.
If he stands on the feet, I just, I don't see how he's going to be able to bridge the gap on the level of striking.
John Silva is one of the, like, best strikers in the world right now.
Like he is so good, so creative, so accurate, so fast.
It's really hard for me to see somebody outside of like the Volcanovsky's, the Topori is,
who's going to be able to withstand what he's able to bring.
Two things.
You have to wonder if Diego Lopez was watching that Paris car,
and he was like, man, BSD's having a lot of success.
On that crappling?
Taking this one to the ground against Maricio Huffy,
who's an unbelievable striker in his own right?
Second, one thing you mentioned during your breakdown
is John Silva being crazy, both these guys being crazy.
That's what makes this fight so beautiful.
They're just two savages with finishing capabilities,
with complete games,
striking, nasty ground games who are willing to just go to war.
The crowd's going to be electric.
The main event's going to be sick.
They're both going to live up to it.
I think it's a fantastic main event that I can't wait for.
I love it.
Diego Lopez is so game.
But I do ultimately feel like it's going to play out on the feet
and John Silva is just going to be too far ahead of him.
I'm really curious with the toughness of both dudes, this being a five-rounder,
what it looks like in three, four, five if it goes that long.
Yeah. I agree with you. I wonder if it goes that long. I think if it hits the middle, maybe Diego starts to take over. You know, somebody who has been in these types of main events before and knows what that pressure is like against guys like Alexander Volcanowski, who is, as I said, the cream of the crop. He is the featherweight champion. He's the one that you're kind of like looking to replicate.
But, man, it is going to be tough sledding to get there, in my opinion, especially if it stays in the, like, if it becomes a fight where Diego,
Lopez is like using the striking to get into takedowns to try to, even if he's not successful
on the takedowns, but just giving John Silva something to think about and not be just so reliant
on being able to sit back and counter, I think that makes it a lot more interesting. If it just
becomes the striking battle, if it becomes the Volcanovsky fight, basically, I think
John Silva is actually better position to finish Diego Lopez than Volcanovsky was. And if he has
that opportunity, I think it might happen. It's going to be fascinating to watch. I can't wait for
five rounds potentially going down in San Antonio on Saturday night.
Co-made event, Rob Font, taking on David Martinez.
David Martinez stepping in on very short notice, solid fighter.
Rosas was the original opponent?
No.
Yes, yes, yes.
It was Raoul Rosas going up against Rob Fon, which would have been a massive spot for him
in the co-main event against the guy in Rob Fawn, potentially vault him into the top 10.
Now, David Martinez is the one getting the opportunity in just his second UFC fight,
Cato Simon Oliva, in his debut.
he's fast, he's young, he gets knockouts.
Like there's a reason that he is plus 105 or something to Rob Fon in just his second UFC fight.
But man, this is where Rob Fon, this is where Rob Fon shines, man.
This is the Rob Fon special right here.
This is the vet lesson.
I honestly wish Rob Fon was like a plus 250 or something.
I'd be like this is where this man shines.
Seven and four over the last seven years, those losses coming to Jose Aldo, Marlon Chito Vera, Davis and Figuero.
Corey Sanhagan, top ten guys, top five guys. He has been around the block. The Adrian Yannias
fight. Massive underdog in that one. Who did he just recently fight? The Matrix.
Kyler Phillips, massive underdog in that one, gets it done as well. I will not be shocked.
I'm actually a brother of the bald beard brand, Mr. Rob Fon. What I'm depending on is this will be a vet
lesson from Rob Fon. That's what I feel too. A lot of people betting on Martinez, man. The line
continues to drop for him.
Well, there's a certain point where
the Rob Font Magic will end, right?
Like, there's a certain...
He's getting old.
I think he's 38?
He is 38, yes, as of June.
Happy birthday, Roe.
There is a point where that will stop.
There's also a level where that will stop, right?
Where all of a sudden, like,
like with Neil Magny and others
who have kind of been good at that,
who have been good at playing spoiler
for the younger, more hungry wolves,
there's a point where,
like the bar for who you can do that too starts to go down and down and down.
I don't know if this is that day.
I would probably lean,
I lean font at the moment,
but it's not because I think like stylistically Rob Fond is going to dominate this fight.
It might just be that veteran savvy.
It might just be like because he's been able to do this so many times.
I don't have a super strong lean on this fight.
But there will be a day where Rob Fon cannot play spoiler anymore.
And I think we're approaching it.
I don't know if this will be the fight.
We'll find out. I also do think you have to credit the full camp that Rob Font was got for this fight, and David Martinez stepping in on short notice.
100% plays a bit into it there. Feature about of the evening, Jared Gordon taken on Hoffa Garcia. Jerry Gordon, like, was a decision machine throughout most of his career, and now his last two wins come by way of first round knockout.
it's been incredible to see
and he's a guy
who was kind of like
after the Patty Pimlet
a weird little bit of a run
but now he's
finding something
I'm uh
I'm leaning Jared here
yeah I think Jared Gordon gets it done
he's a fair favorite in this one
minus 220 I also just think like
obviously he hasn't needed it
because of the knockout but like
you know the grappling game is always there for Jared
and I think when he's just like a solid
ass fighter he's so well-rounded
he's he brings a lot
of pressure. It leaves him open, right? It leaves him open for opportunities because he's such
an aggressive fighter. But yeah, I just feel like well-roundedness and toughness are hard to combat
at the level of the level of guys he's fighting. Rafa Garcia is not like an elite competitor in
my opinion. Jared Gordon has been in there with the best of the best. I think he's going to be
able to get it done just based on that. The tenacity, the toughness, the well-rounded game. It's hard
for me to see where the holes are for Raffa
that he's going to be able to take advantage of it.
Rolling along, Kelvin Gasselm,
back in the Octagon just three months
after a pretty tough go
against Joe Pfeier taking on Dustin Stolzfuss.
Stolzfuss has been on a win-loss,
win-loss kind of streak here lately.
This feels like an opportunity
for Kelvin Gasselm to get back in the wind column.
Kelvin should win this fight.
That's what this is.
This is an opportunity for Kelvin to, like,
write the ship here.
Stoltzvus, another guy who's kind of like,
super tough dangerous when in the right scenarios any night could be his best night any night could
be a bad night as well kelvin i think is the more steady guy like we kind of know what what we can
expect with kelvin this feels like the level that is above stolzvus and this feels like the level
that like kelvin should be able to cruise at i lean kelvin but man another guy who like sneaky
has been fighting for a long long long long time and maybe the best days are behind but to me like
he should still be able to get by Dustin.
Actually, if you look at both of them,
Kelvin Gislam and Dustin Stolzvus,
their last five is
loss, win, loss, win, loss. So something's
got to give on the alternative.
There we go. I think Kelvin.
Continuing on the main card, Alexander Hernandez, who joined the
area of Hawani show yesterday, gave a great interview,
real just nonchalant guy, just like,
just kind of chilling.
He has wise cracking, funny jokes,
takes on Diego Verra. A couple of Gasselm said,
all right, you know, three months. That's a,
that's a proper turnaround, but maybe
coming back kind of quick after the Joe Pfeiffer one.
Alexander Hernandez says, how about
28 days since he knocked out
Chase Hooper? I believe
on UFC 319
in Chicago,
which was a massive underdog win for him.
Chase Hooper was on a five-fight win streak going
into that one, and Alexander
Hernandez is the one on the win streak,
three straight wins for him. Yeah, it's been
an impressive run, obviously none more
than the finish of Chase Hooper.
You know, based on what Alexander
Hernandez said to Ariel, it seems like he's finally
mentally putting it all together.
Like, he is as much aware of what's been going on in his career as everybody else is.
I think the line was, no one takes defeat from the victory of Jaws, from the Jaws of Victory more than me.
Nobody has been better at stealing defeat from the Jaws of Victory.
He had to say it twice on the show as well.
Like, it's a bit confusing.
But, yeah, like, it looks like he's winning these fights, and then suddenly he's either
flat on his back or he gives up the last
two rounds. Whatever he has done to fix
that, whatever he has done to like acknowledge that
whether it be the mental preparation or the physical
or the combination of the two, it has
led to success for him recently.
But man, Diego is
like another one of these font types
where it's like he's a three and a half
four to one dog and all of a sudden
he still gets it done.
In this one it feels like I think this
is like nearly a coin flip and to me that makes
a lot of sense. Yeah. Right
now you can get Alexander Hernandez
plus 100, Diego Fahara, minus 120.
Yeah, that makes sense to me.
Kind of just feels like the one that, like, steps in,
stops the wind streak.
Exactly.
He's the font type.
Yeah.
El Gran Chango?
El Grongchango.
El Grong chango.
The big monkey, the Great Ape, loose interpretation there for Nocha, UFC.
But he says he's keeping it.
I'm cheering for him.
I'm cheering for him.
On the win streak, on the way that he handled the interview yesterday and everything,
he seems like a guy I'd get along with him.
I'm rooting for Alexander Hernandez to keep it going.
Yeah, I think he gets a lot of unnecessary hate.
There was the famous cowboy thing where he's like,
I'm going to retire him, he's old, he's washed,
and then cowboy turned back the clock and kind of took him out.
And everybody, like, the shot and fraud about that
has carried people to this point.
Now, don't get me wrong,
Alexander Hernandez is very, like, brash, like, confident,
and that has, like, kind of maybe rub people the wrong way.
it seems like he's reset himself a little bit
it seems like he's discovered kind of
where he's at mentally and the holes
that he needed to fix and got on the right track
I do kind of like feel like he's a guy
you can root for now. I feel like he's kind of
now entering the stage where it's like
all right, we've put the sins of the
past behind us and now we can
root for Alexander Hernandez. You know, team
no thanks I think is good
and the what is it
big balls
big ball small neck
It's not doing here.
So, yeah, I'll be supporting Alexander Hernandez on Saturday night.
On to the prelims, Tatiana Suarez, back for the first time since fighting Zhang Wei
Lee coming up short for the belt, believe back in February that one was, or maybe late January,
taking on Amanda Lemosch.
It just kind of feels like once we saw the Zhang fight, this one goes one of two ways.
Either she gets the takedowns and she just runs through people, just dominant most of the time
getting finishes, or if she can't get to.
the takedown, she's probably not in a good spot.
Amanda Lemosch is solid on the feet
and has power as well.
So it's just sort of like,
will Tatiana get the takedowns? I'm going to go
with yes. I don't think Amanda Lemoche's
is equipped to stop them
as Zhang Wei Li is. Yeah, we kind of saw
Lemoche kind of like thwart the
takedowns of Yasmin Lucindo in the last
fight. Like she was able to kind of
keep the fight where she wanted it
and then it was like a one-way
traffic. She is a very sharp and accurate
striker. I do think we're
getting to the point, though, like, in her career, like the age that somebody like Tatiana Suarez is going to be able to get it.
Like, I believe, like you, that she's going to be able to get the takedowns, and I think this is going to be a real bounce back for Tatiana.
Yeah, Mandelamish, 38.
Yeah.
What's a few 38 and ups going to see?
This is the vet card.
Rob Fon.
Diego Ferreira.
Now Amanda Lemish there.
59% takedown defense over the course of Amanda Lemish.
One of the other that I want to talk about, Zach Reese taking on S.
D. Dumas. Honestly, kind of crazy to see
you're getting Zach Rees as a minus
240. You're also in the
Dusco Todorovic Jose Medina fight.
You're getting Dusco Totorovic as a minus 400.
You don't see that too often.
You certainly don't see that too often.
Zach Reese, taking on S.D.
Dumas, who
took the Twitter in a now
deleted tweet, talking about how he has
essentially no money in his bank
account. Took a picture of his
checking 1396, zero
in the savings. This is the price of being a
all paying legal actions and stuff in your life. I hate to hear people say people don't
struggle at a big scene. Yeah, you all can laugh about it. I'm just giving you something to laugh
about. So a lot on the line here for SD Dumas, because I don't know how much longer he'll be in the
UFC if he doesn't get this one done this weekend. But on the flip side of that, the legal
fees and everything is his own doing. Yeah, self-inflicted. Yeah. I'm surprised he's still in
the USC, if I'm being completely honest, like with the, for him not being the elite competitor
for the trouble that he's kind of brought to himself.
Like, I would have expected that there's no reason for him to still be in the UFC.
I imagine if Zach Rees is able to get it done here, maybe he won't.
Not hoping for that, not rooting for any outcome.
Certainly don't want to see somebody struggling financially like that.
But as you said, a lot of these wounds self-inflicted by him.
Yeah.
There's some good fights on this card, go.
There's some good fights on this card.
Level of excitement?
It's a nice appetizer for...
The main event carries it.
Oh, main event's incredible.
As does the boxing main event.
I mean, the whole weekend is loaded up.
Patty Donovan fighting earlier in the day.
Look at John Silva with the cowboy hat.
Love it.
What do you think the photographers were like?
Yeah, the shadows are a little bad, John.
Yeah, shadows are a little bit tough here, John.
What the fuck is that?
We should have had Diego Lopez in his cowboy hat as well,
so we could have done a little side-by-side.
Who looks cooler in the cowboy hat?
Diego Lopez, John Silva, in your main event.
Rob Font, David Martinez, Hoffa Garcia, Jerry Gordon.
It's a decent main card.
Santiago Luna, Kwong Lee.
Frank loves that one.
Yeah, he wouldn't shut up about it.
Look at Dusko Torovic in the Noche merch.
Your minus 400, Dusko Todorovic.
That's big.
That's big.
He looks good, man.
He looks clean.
He looks bad.
He's thoughts on Medina's new hairstyle.
Yeah, I like it.
A little flash in the pan.
A little blonde.
A little stripe.
Start the wind streak there,
Jose. Good stuff.
And then your
featured early prelim, Zachry's
Estee Dumas. We got this.
We got Notre E.S.C. We got Canelo Crawford
taking us into the evening. Patty
Donovan in the boxing,
which Peetsy just cannot
wait for, man. Crocker Donovan's. He'll
be there. Crocker Donovan, too. The rematch.
Trying to get that revenge, the Irishman is
he won't shut up about it. He will
not stop talking about it, but shout out to him for it
for a full breakdown on Donovan
Crocker, too. Watch the crack tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Eastern. And then Friday night, you have Yoel Romero, debuting in BKFC, which
solved the odds for that one. He's a minus 1,800, taking on Theo Daukes.
Who? Good luck to Theo, man. Good luck to Theo. It's going to be interesting to see.
How old is Joe Romero?
I think he's 48.
What? I'm pretty sure, Yoel Romero, D.O.B. Yep, 19707.
Holy fucking shit, man. He turned 48 this year. Shout out to Y'O. Romero.
If I can look half as good as him at 48, I'll have lived a good life.
He is a marvel.
Truly.
Truly is a marvel, and now he's going to bear knucklebox, which is just insane.
And then Gable Steven broke on this show making his MMA debut at LFA.
That's your guy, Daniel.
LFA 217 against Braden Peterson.
I mean, that should be academic.
It's a Friday night, you know, flip it on.
Maybe a little LFA.
What's going on, Big KFC?
How's 48-year-old?
doing, and then I'll take in a big, big Saturday of fights, the boxing, the MMA, and then back
to the boxing with Canella Crawford. I'm looking forward to it, man. I'm pumped for Saturday. It's one of
those days that you really get excited about. I am really, really excited about the main events. The rest
are just going to carry. It's just kind of crescendo. You know, you're not going to be locked in
front of the TV, but you're coming in, you're coming out, you're making sure you're watching the
fights you want to fight, you want to watch, and you're having a good day. We'll be locked in.
From Lopez Silva onward, I'm there. I'm there.
When night falls.
Yeah.
3 p.m. Eastern start for Notcha UFC.
Love that.
Great.
Don't want to compete.
Get out of the way.
Smart move by Dana and them.
Competing with yourselves, honestly.
Yeah.
Smart.
All right, let's rip the picks.

Bakri
Al Saikh
I'm sorry if I got this
wrong
he ran 4K
in 29 minutes, but he said he's been trying to get in shape for the past two months.
First time he has run 4KM without taking any breaks.
He says it's not much, especially at that pace, but we're getting there.
It is that much, man.
The fact that you were able to complete that first time ever running 4K without taking a break is legendary stuff, 5K on the way soon.
So shout to him.
Shout to the Strava group, man.
The Strava is killing.
Dude, we got like over 200 members now.
I'm loving watching everybody's runs.
It motivates me.
It seems like it's motivating them.
Join up if you haven't.
just go on to my Strava, and you'll see the groups click in.
We started just doing Fight Day 5Ks.
Everyone just posts their 5Ks, their Fight Day runs in there.
You should get in it, man.
I'm not a runner.
Be a big pop if we saw a little New York Rick Strava action.
Not a runner.
There'd be a big pop.
Frankie?
A little blurt out.
What is running?
Don't like the road work.
Jordan?
And?
Running from off?
Al-A.
Someone should run on the Strava in the uncrown logo, and then we'll post that.
You have to make the pattern of the logo?
In your map?
Oh, I see.
You run as the crown?
I see. Yeah.
Not going to lie, I do have the map sitting.
I don't need to give away the...
If you do decide to do that, location.
It's a pinpoint precise location.
I mean, we don't need to...
Frank does enough doxing for me anyway, so we don't need to...
I ran very religiously for one summer.
It was great.
Enjoyed my time.
Not for me.
Then hop in, bro.
There's no better way to start a fight there.
No.
Get a nice running.
I got down to, like, high sevens, eight-minute mile.
And then I was like, I'm out. I'm done.
Come on in.
All right, parlay pals.
We've already gotten Pizzie's pick.
I'll give you one guess.
It's Patty Donovan.
Patty Donovan trying to revenge a loss minus 700.
I think that's likely.
Lost the last one.
Now he's minus 700.
Yeah, lost, I mean.
Frankie, you go first.
You know what?
I'm just going to go of Canelo.
Wow.
I'm going to get it done.
Perfect.
Despite what Rick said.
Okay.
I mean, I was going to give out the whole order, but I guess you jumped right on that.
say Frankie? I was going to say Frankie, and then I had like a little indigestion there. I had a little
burp that created the pause. Rick sometimes has those like pretty fresh off lunch and I'm just
like, I'm waiting for the day where it's like, you know, we get the free lunch for you eye. I'm waiting
for the day where it's like, man, that rat may have sat out for too long. Like he's, sometimes he'll
be like, yeah, I had a bit of indigestion, but I was going to finish. Frankie, you go first. I'll go
second. Rick, you will go third. I'm going to take Zach Reese.
Zach Reese is minus 238?
Let it be known. My stomach is iron. I will never have that moment.
That used to be me. They used to be me.
Then I met a piece of Gorgonzola. I couldn't care.
Everything's been different since then.
No, I am set. I'm good.
I'm going to go with Tatiana Suarez. I think she's going to be able to get back on track at the takedowns.
That's my pick. I like that. I like that a lot. Do we have a graphic?
to the graphics team. Yeah, there it is. There it is. Second time we're seeing this one.
Plus 207. We need it, boys. Come on. We need it. We're slipping in it. Slipping in that green, the green's slipping away there.
The rest of these look great. Green's slipping away. I love that it will, if we get that far, it will be finishing on Canelo Crawford. So we can shit on Frank Live on the watch party if he costs it for us.
Yeah, that'd be great. We will see my bets quickly, briefly. We start Alexander Hernandez.
money line. I'm not going to lie. I bet
this while he was on yesterday. I was like, you know what?
I like the cut of his jib. I believe.
Alexander Hernandez. El Gran Chango.
We eating Chimmy Changes on Saturday?
As I might.
Chimmy Changes? If I had the opportunity.
But as I understand it, that is not a correct
translation. Am I wrong? Andy?
That's exactly over to, I believe.
Chimichangas? The big monkey.
That's what he said. But when we were looking
into what Chango means, we found a couple
of different ones. A different, like,
descriptions of what could be. What would the Great A
be? Is there an actual translation or is this like the
closest approximation? That's the thing. A Chango doesn't
exist in Venezuela, so I don't know what that word
means. It's like an idiom probably. Got it.
All right. Fair enough. Fair enough.
He's an idiot. That was me.
Alright, man. Wasn't bad, Frank.
Get your El Gran Chango merch right now
online. Next up.
Luis Gruel. I like
I like his chances in this one. I think he gets it done. I think he's
better striker. I think he's better on the ground as well. I just think he's got the
complete package. I think he gets it done. We roll along.
Joaquim Silva money line. Claudio Puez, ever since the Dan Hooker fight, that man
cannot get my money. I think Joaquin Silva can keep this one standing and get it done. Just
don't go to the mat. Don't fall into the leg locks. Don't fall into the submissions.
And I honestly think even if it does go to the ground, he can survive.
Joachim Silva money line. And then last but not least, for the bald, for the beard.
For the bald beard brand, we stand with Rob Font.
Vet lesson gets it done.
A couple parleyes, Zacharice Money Line, Alessandro Cost the Money Line,
and then Tatiana Suarez, Jared Flash Gordon to finish us off.
Those are the picks for Noce UFC.
Love that.
No bets on Canelo Crawford right now.
Kind of just waiting.
Maybe I'll just cheer on the Parlay Pals.
Yeah, we'll just root for Canello, thanks to Frank.
Okay, that is the Noce UFC discussion, which brings us to our pound-for-pound rankings for this week.
We've done a lot of dumb lists.
This may be our dumbest.
I teased it yesterday on the area of Hawaii show.
I said, there's a big twist.
There's a big twist when it comes to this pound-for-pound rankings.
So in honor of Noce UFC, we're doing the translation of El Gran Chango.
We don't need much translation to hear.
Noce UFC.
Noce.
Knight
in Spanish
Where do you go
From there?
M. Knight.
M. Night
Shamalan movies.
That's the twist.
That's the list.
Top 5 M. Night Shyamalan movies.
Very clever.
If you guys would like to know
what else we were workshopping
to get in the
dumbest brains
in the mixed martial arts media space,
Rob Font,
we were considering top five fonts.
Shout to Rob Font.
And then we were also considering
because of Noce Night times of day,
and then Frank was begging, pleading for best times of day
to watch M. Night Shyamalan movies.
Ultimately, we decided on top five.
The combo, the combo of the two.
Top five M. Night Shyamalan movies.
Frank, what's the order, brother?
The order will be, Frank.
Connor.
Rick.
Rick.
Whoa, let me finish.
Frank, Connor, and then Rick.
You think you get to finish after jumping down my throat for Canelo Alvarez?
When you said yesterday on the show that it had a twist, I popped hard.
Nailed it, and that was, that was, completely off the cuff.
Oh, it was great. It was great.
All right, Frankie, kick us off, man.
All right. I've only seen three of his movies.
Oh, fuck.
Is that how you spell Shama on?
I guess it is.
No, I don't think so, is it?
Definitely is not.
You think there's a typo on the graphic?
It is. It is how you spell it.
Shout out to Jordan.
My number five.
Yeah, I'll take that check to the bank.
I spelled it S-H-A-M-A-L-A-Y-A-N on my list.
So I really fuck it.
Shamalan.
That's how you pronounce that, right?
Shimalan.
Shimon.
Shalom-A-L-M-A-L-A-L-A-L-A-L-N-A.
So my number five is one of the three that I actually did see.
Time-out.
What?
The three that you did see are not going to be one, two, and three.
No.
Oh, okay.
You didn't watch two additional last night.
Because number five is so bad.
I'm willing to bet that a couple of the ones I didn't see are better than it.
it signs the one about the the aliens or whatever i remember like a kid kills a dog with a fork
that's fucked up frank a bit of k-fate man like you couldn't have been like no this is how and then
the alien's biggest weakness is water despite all the humidity and the it's fucking stupid so they're
going on to number four following along with the water theme lady in the water i saw the trailer
for that one it looked dumb uh the village my brother
brother saw that one with my mom.
It came home and told me like, oh, man, you should hear about this twist.
Proceeded to tell me the twist, and I was like, yeah, that was dumb.
Well, if you didn't know, the twist is, it's like an old school village.
It looks like it's set in like the 1800s.
You're stuck there.
You can't go beyond the woods because there's monsters out there.
They tell the kids that you can't leave because there's monsters.
Correct.
And they're like, oh, these monsters are scary and stuff.
You find out the monsters are the elders dressed up, other villagers.
to keep the people there
and then you find out
it ain't the 1800s
it's present day
somebody gets over the fence
and there's a Jeep
that's yeah
that's 20 years later hearing this
it's great twist
it still sounds like shit
but I did see number two
in the theater
the day it came out
I'll never forget
the six cents
I gotta tell you
I was I mean I guess
I was in junior high
at the time
like I got got
I didn't see that coming
like I wasn't
I don't think the brain
was developed enough
you can like be this
hipster hater
on all things M9
and be like, oh, he's the fucking worst,
despite, like, having, like, an illustrious directing career.
The Sixth Sense is a solid-ass movie.
Yeah.
And then my number one, I saw this at home.
I had, like, rented it when it came on a video.
And I have to say, I was genuinely surprised.
And when this guy gets brought up, this is the one I'm like,
that's the only one I like, which was Unbreakable.
Shout out.
So you don't like the Sixth Sense.
You only, the only one you like is Unbreakable.
Yeah, I think the Sixth Sense, I got God.
Like, I get the appeal of the twisting.
You were pissed.
You got God.
I know high school Frank was like,
I got like I was like well
I didn't see that coming you know that was it
like legitimately didn't see that coming
yeah it's the point
I know that I'm not like
oh you see that coming up so upset I was like oh
that was clever he does twist
that's crazy twist
now I'll pause for laughter
from the joke I made yesterday on the show
he does twist
yeah unbreakable
good I have to say
you know with the sixth sense and unbreakable
Bruce Willis is like one of my
go-to favorite actors
of all time. It's heartbreaking to see what he's
going through these days. So
no disrespect to him and no disrespect
to the performances that from everybody in all
of the movies that I did see. I mean, they're good. I just don't like
the movies, except for Unbreakable
and Sixth Sense I have fond memories of
but it's my number two. Naturally,
no disrespect. You put the two Bruce Willis films
at the top. Shout out to Bruce Willis.
Shout to Bruce Willis legend. I actually haven't seen Unbreakable.
I know I was just kind of shitting on you, Frank. I've only seen a
handful of M. Night Shyamla movies as well.
But you're going to maintain K-Fab, and you're going to do it up.
Yeah, actually, I kick off my list, number five, with a movie that I didn't see,
but it had to be on one of our list just because it was shit.
It should have never been attempted.
That's the last Airbender.
It does not need a live action.
They now have tried a Netflix show.
Just keep it the cartoon.
The cartoon is gold.
The cartoon is one of the best shows of all time.
We just, we don't need it.
We don't need it.
I like your effort.
It's like a three on IMDB.
We just don't need it.
it.
Genuine curiosity.
Yeah.
You like Airman.
Love it.
Why did you not watch it?
Because you knew it was shit.
Watch the trailer and it's just like, it's like they tried to do a live action
Dragon Ball Z.
It's just like it's too cartoony.
But there's no curiosity.
Like, I love this franchise.
I have to feed it.
It's just too cartoony.
They did a live action attack on Titans.
I watched the trailer for that.
It looks like painful.
Like, it's like these things are too cartoony that they can't transition to live action.
Okay.
Like, I mean, it literally is him like
Waterbending, Airbending.
Last Airbender, probably the worst movie I've ever seen.
Fuck, yeah, you've seen it?
I think I almost walked out.
Yeah, I think we just laughed the whole time.
I had no interest in seeing it,
but I also don't care about like the Last Airbender
and the lore and all that, so.
Go watch the actual television program,
the cartoon that aired on Nickelodeon.
One of the best shows of all time.
I will not.
Number four.
The visit.
I thought I was going to say the village.
It's actually.
the visit uh this one was like kind of like 2010s era um and it was uh it was like the sort of like
the the the the camcorder type thing clover field like sort of paranormal activity type thing like
first person shooter was mixed into it uh this mom is like irresponsible and she's going
on a cruise and she leaves her kids with the grandparents but like you know you don't really
see them and stuff and then the grandparents are so nice and they're so great and then they
start acting weird, and then they get weirder and weirder. And the twist is, these are two people
that escaped from a mental institute, and they murdered the grandparents. And, like, they hadn't
seen the grandparents in a while. It was a crazy twist. It was a wild movie. Great. Very terrifying
trailer. Very terrifying trailer. So shout out to the visit. Number three, Frank, you had it signs.
I feel like it's got to be included in any sort of M. Knight lore. And while I go to number two,
I do have to mention of the ones that I have seen
Oh shout out Joaquin Phoenix
All of his movies are usually stacked
With the casts are unbelievable
Like the village cast is absolutely stacked
Two that I have seen that just could not make the list
Were the happening
Essentially the flowers fight back
And like start releasing a poisonous pollen into the air
But there is like a 45 minutes where it's eerie and it's good
And then number two old
Just did not enjoy old at all
You go to a beach you get old
you die, that's, that's pretty much it.
Number two, going off of Unbreakable, split.
Great movie.
Kevin has 23 distinct personalities.
The 24th is about to be unleashed.
You're going to have to watch it, find out.
Shout out to James McAvoy.
And Anya Taylor Joy.
Anya Taylor Joy.
Trilogy, Unbreakable Split, Glass.
Yes, that's correct.
Separated from like 2000, 2012, 2012, 2019.
Yeah.
Shout to Split.
gets like the powers of these personalities
the creepy like dog run
everything like that shout out the split
and then number one the six cents come on
I see dead people
turns out he's dead the whole time
spoiler alert
yeah that's it
that's pretty much the six cents
who's dead? He said the boy is dead
he's saying the main character
basement attic
haley Joel Osman
one of the two
shout out of Haley Joel Osmond
Hannah Montana
I like that list
Frank's list was pretty good too
we're going to give the definitive list now
because I have seen many more
M-Night Shyamala movies.
I've seen everyone on my list.
I've seen many more, many from your list.
Number five, starting with number five,
a recent entry into the
shamalan lore trap.
Josh Hartnett plays a father
who takes his daughter to a concert
for a musical artist named Lady Raven.
How about this?
The musical artist Lady Raven?
played by
Shyamalan's daughter
Sean Malon's daughter
Shout out
Actually sings in the movie as well
Quite talented
Pretty decent actress as well
A great vehicle for Josh Hartnett
Who kind of like
Had been left aside
After his teen heartthrob years
I'm
Huh?
Frank said that to air
That was the wrong one
They must be speaking in his ear
And now Frank's accepting to speak in my ear
I was trying to talk to Connor
Can keep going
Perfect
Josh Hartnett
a return to form. Fantastic in the film. Some great performances. Another really good trailer,
I think that's kind of a key to an M. Knight movie is like the trailers always hook you pretty
well. You know there's going to be some kind of twist coming. Really enjoyed it. Thought it was
well executed. It fell apart a little bit at the ending, but the twist here is that the father
with the daughter is a serial killer. He is a serial killer and he's trapped at this
concert with his daughter. And the concert is a fake concert put on to trap this serial killer
because they know he's going to be here. And it's about him escaping the concert. He escapes
the concert. He gets home. The cops are there as well. The wife was the one who set up
the sting on him. It's a crazy story. But Josh Hartnett is the killer and is trapped at this
concert has to find a way to escape without letting his daughter know that he has to get home
because he is a serial killer. It's quite an interesting twist. Frank, were you trying to
get in my ear just to say hearten it?
No, I'm sorry. There's something going on back here.
You're all right, but? Apologies.
Yeah, Frank's having a moment.
He, uh, like, what are you just talking in your ear?
There's a technical issue. You guys got to make a big deal out of it?
He jumped into my ear and he just goes, Hardney.
I was like, what the fuck?
Oh, I think that got replayed from whatever Rick was saying.
Oh, perfect. It was, it was an echo of me saying it.
All right, continue with your list.
All right, number four. We can't, we can't continue to struggle through this.
Number four, it has been mentioned on both of you.
No, you did not have it on your list.
Frank had it.
Unbreakable.
A fantastic movie starring Bruce Willis.
The twist here, the conceit here is, well, as the story advances, essentially what
is happening is Bruce Willis believes he's, like, different and starts to realize that
he has superpowers.
He starts to see it manifested.
He's stopping crimes.
He's becoming a hero.
The twist at the end is that Samuel L. Jackson, who,
is essentially telling him,
hey, you're becoming a superhero. I want to follow this.
Has been setting up accidents,
killing people, or trying to kill
people in an attempt to see if he could save
the day. He is the villain of the story
and Bruce Willis was able to stop him.
And that is Mr. Glass. That is the one
that carries through the rest of the franchise.
But he truly has powers
and Samuel L. Jackson
has been setting up these
accidents to see if he could find
the superhero. And he does. And we see all
the article clippings and all that. It was quite a
a good movie. It led to a sequel, but that people did not know at the time was a sequel called
Split, which is my number three. An incredible movie, incredible performance by James McAvoy, who has
to play 24, 25 different personalities, Anya Taylor Joy, playing the counterpart who discovers
this man. The twist here is obviously, naturally, it lends itself to, oh, this guy's crazy,
right? This guy's a nut job. He has 24 different personalities. It
turns out he actually does have powers and he turns
himself into a creature called the beast as you
see here. And that
is when it has revealed at the very end of the
film that this exists in the unbreakable
universe and that Bruce Willis is going
to have to stop him because he's the hero
and he's a villain. Along the way, it
just becomes
more and more obvious that oh, he's just insane
but it turns out he is actually powered
and he becomes the beast. That sounds awesome.
It was quite a great movie. Two
powerhouse performances. Check out the
Samuel, Frankie. Mr. Glass.
Mr. Glarech is glass
Is it glass?
It might be glass
You said you like unbreakable shit
Check out the sequel split
And then you watch glass
See like unbreakable but not enough
To watch what I am sure
Dumb sequels
Number two
You think you're cool
Hayden on M-9?
Come on then
Yeah
Number two
The best pound for pound we've ever done
Number two
You both mentioned it
Signs
I think very highly of this movie
I thought it was
It was fantastic at the time
And has only gotten better
overtime. There are many out there who would
claim that this is his best film. This is his masterpiece.
Great performances by
Mel Gibson, Waukeen Phoenix.
Rory Culkin, another of
the Culkin brothers, and Abigail
Breslin play the children in the film.
This was the scene.
This was the one for me. This, as I
was a child, the party scene
where you see
Joaquin Phoenix watching the film
on television
and they're at a, I believe
it was in Mexico. They're at a party.
And they just see this alien flash across the screen.
It was startling.
It jarred me at the moment.
It was one of the like early, early, early, really strong jump scares in a non-like, oh, this is an obvious horror film.
The, you know, the weakness being water and all those other things wasn't great for me.
I thought it was a little bit goofy.
I think it's aged a little bit better.
I think it's okay now.
But a fantastic film.
And one of my favorites, especially because of at the time that I saw, I had seen it.
it was right in that that developmental period for me but number one could not be any other film
the sixth sense um the origin of like the best movie twist like it it has the the movie twist
has become trite because this film exists and perfected it so well uh they they give you
the the the answer right at the beginning of the film you see him die you see him get shot and
you and you know that this man is in grave peril you think he recovers they cut to another scene
And you just instantaneously go with it, perfectly shot, no giving away that he is dead in the film.
And then the ending just hits like, you know, like a ton of bricks.
It is, it is absolutely incredible.
Such a well-crafted film.
Great performances across it, obviously, Bruce Willis.
But Haley Joel Osmit carries the film as the son.
And absolutely loved it at the time that I saw it.
It blew my mind.
Could not believe it.
I didn't go in with high expectations
because this is one of the early M-Nights.
And from then on, I was just like,
I'm a fan of what this guy's doing.
Got Frank so bad.
He hasn't been able to get over,
and he still is holding a grudge against him.
I am holding a personal grudge against him.
I am looking at a post just sent to me.
Trapped 2024 by M-night Shyamalan was shamelessly made
to promote the musical career of Seleka Sharmelon,
M-Night's daughter.
And she's great.
Yeah, so they got you.
They got you.
And Tony Colette in the sixth sense as well,
playing the mother.
She was fantastic.
Shout out.
Shout out to M-Night Shaman.
If you're just tuning in, then that would appear to be probably the dumbest pound-for-pound list we've done.
We're the best.
That may hold up, six cents, getting the number one spot in two of the three lists.
Shout out.
No J-U-C.
How long is it until we do pound-for-pound list about our pound-for-pound list where we rank you the dumbest best,
we were.
We were going through some.
I think we do it at maybe the year mark.
So, like, next month we maybe think about doing that.
Maybe like an apex – no, there is no apex cards next month.
Maybe in an apex card in November we ranked the pound.
for poundland. What was our first? Apex Predators?
Yes. Apex Predators was pretty dumb.
Greens was pretty dumb. I don't think that was dumb.
I thought that was pretty good.
What else have we done that was? Hills was dumb.
Hills. Why did we even do Hills?
Jamal Hill.
Jamal Hill fighting on UFC Baku.
Yeah, we've done some stupid ones.
And we'll continue to do ones. Do we do top like 311s or something?
Top Chicago's was bad.
Top Chicago.
By the way, I thought for this list that Frank was going to do
twists like he was going to do a pretzel twist
some kind of like I thought that was going to be
how he took this. That would have been good
instead he didn't watch any of the movies. I just want Rob Font to fight
against what we could do fonts. I know you
had a list cooking up for that one. All right
that was a pound for pound rankings in my
Shamaama movies. No, Jay. Night, that's the connection.
It's easy. It's easy. I think people
are going to love it. Before we jump to voicemails
and super chats, did you see this video?
I know you're probably sitting down to watch
your daily episode of Love and Dubai
but if you happen to catch it, Paul Hughes and Usman
Manga Madov, uh, joining the show.
Take, take a look here.
All right, we need the lights.
Is this frozen?
No, it's coming in.
Cut the music, change the camera, change the camera, change the camera.
To my furthest right, we have the undefeated and more like the world champion Usman, Norman Gavadov, also to my right.
We have the Irish sensation, Paul, big news, huge.
Uh, yeah, man, shout out to Love in Dubai.
Seems to be a successful program over there.
A lot of followers, a lot of subscribers on YouTube.
But, like, my questions are several.
Why is it in the dark?
Why is it that, like, up angle, and then change, change, change, and then completely butchers.
Put zero effort into Usman or Magamadov's name, just, like, stumbled it out there.
It was like the Joe Rogan.
Yeah.
And then Usman, and then Usman coming in when, like, he's, I.
I would imagine he has what we have right here, which is a return monitor.
He can see the live feed, and he's just like, oh, my God.
He's just like, what the fuck are we doing here?
And then...
I was going to say, I don't think he even needs a return monitor.
He was probably laughing at the fact that he's just been sitting in the dark for 45 seconds.
And then they finally turn in the lights.
Also, next to Paul Hughes.
Like, why are they not facing off against each other?
And then I know we didn't see a long enough clip, but, like, who is the other woman sitting there, like, to conduct this...
Two-on-to...
Love in Dubai.
Just celebrated a 10-year anniversary.
They seem to be doing pretty well for themselves.
Also, like, the host just seemed to be, like,
ex-pots?
Like, they're just, like, out-of-towners.
Like, they obviously are not Dubai natives.
Just, can we just watch it one more time?
Just, like, music's blaring, sitting in the dark.
Angles are off.
Can I say the music is...
Are they waiting to come in?
I don't know what they're waiting for here.
Obviously, it's on air because we got it.
Background image is also ridiculous.
I think that's Habeasman's face.
He's like, and he says something.
He's like, oh, what?
Remagandov.
They have the Irish sensation, Paul Big News Hughes.
They got Paul Big News Hughes, though.
Also, like, the only reason we're seeing it is because of the issue there.
What a, what a performance from Love and Dubai.
It makes me want to watch more.
It just shows that, you know, like, Usman and Paul are sitting next to each other.
They were both laughing that, you know, even.
your greatest enemies.
You could still have a good time.
Did Paul laugh?
Paul looked like he was pretty stone-faced.
Yeah, Paul was like, I respect the production value.
I mean, Paul,
why did we cut to me just?
Oh, are we doing the,
are we doing an homage to love and devise?
Yeah, can we do a couple like,
okay, switch, but you, j-j-j-j-welcome in to another episode of the way.
Maybe that's how we'll start coming in
where we're just singing in the dark.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hard music and then Frank.
you're just going to have to kill it should have done that and just see who see who see we know
all right do dee tee te te te te te te dee oh fucking how welcome in to uh boys in the back i'm connor
burkes this is a reek jikman uh another episode and mysterious frank in the back oh man
fuck we should have started that way and see who picked up on it god damn it we cost
um anyway
way, we're just having some fun. A little bit of a light moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no disrespect to
Love in Dubai. I'm sure they're putting on a great program out there. Uh, 1.6 million followers
on Instagram for Love's God damn. Yeah, 10 year anniversary, too. They're like, who are these
fucking Jemokes making fun of us? Look at them. What a BS little setup they got there?
What if we now started a feud with Love and Dubai? Wow. Yeah. There's a lot to make fun of us.
Look at these Dillwaps. They're like doing an M-night Shama on pound-for-pound movie
rank.
This fucking idiot didn't even...
It's just Eric with the haircut.
I mean, we've done some dumb shit here.
We have done some dumb shit.
Somebody out there is going to maliciously feed them this information and make us look
like assholes.
Our next production, uh, faux pa, well, didn't we do top pound for pound faux pa?
We did.
But what this, what I hope this inevitably leads to is a joining of the forces.
Yes.
The BITB and Love and Dubai crossover event.
Can we go do?
a live show in Dubai for UFC
321 and use Love and Dubai's studio.
And then they come here.
Yeah, and then they do a Love in Dubai live from New York.
Wow, that could be it.
That could be the ticket.
Either way, shout to Paul.
He's shot to his partner, Marka Meddorf.
That fight just a few weeks away, man.
One of PFL's best cards that they can put on right now.
Yeah, that card is really, really strong.
And that fight is like...
God, I can't wait for that fight.
That weekend is sick.
Yeah.
You have that fight.
You have Mike Perry and BKFC over in Newark,
which also has a couple of other great fights on it.
And then you have UFC 320, Alex Barreira,
Magavan Akhaliath, Corey Sandhagan, Marado Alashvili.
This is a great combat sports weekend.
That is another fantastic combat sports weekend.
Yeah, and especially because it's like across like our kind of main interests.
Artem Lobov back.
Artem Lobos back on that, on that PFL card.
Yeah, really strong effort by them.
and to me the best
fight they can make the PFL, so
great, great job by them.
Frankie, we got any voicemails, brother?
Voice mails.
Ahoy, hoi, hoi.
Hey, boys, Joe from San Antonio.
What's up, Joe?
Every week with my wife and my now,
six-week-old son.
I will be going to know to UFC this weekend,
and I am so excited for that crazy.
Crazy, crazy main event.
Oh, congrats.
A quick question is, when my son was close to being bored,
my wife and I were having trouble deciding on names,
and then we started thinking about figures that truly inspired us
and had inspiring stories.
So I was wondering, if y'all had a kid that you were going to name after a fighter
that was inspiring, what fighter would you pick and why?
Appreciate all the shows.
Appreciate everything y'all do, man.
Keep it going.
Bye.
Bye.
Thank you.
Thanks for listening.
Thanks for the call.
No, J UFC this weekend.
That's going to be sick.
Congratulations.
We would name our kids after.
Yeah, congratulations on the kid as well.
Ili Top Toro, Berks.
Middle name Top Toro Berks.
I feel like Anderson could be cool.
Anderson's not bad.
I like Anderson.
Obviously, BJ Penn was my favorite fighter, but I could have had beat.
Like, if I named any of my kids with a B, they're BJ by initials anyway.
It's got to be tough because you got to make it not too obvious.
You can't name someone like Porriet.
Connor?
Connor.
Connor,
the second.
Junior?
So if I had a junior,
would I start going by senior?
Yeah, but then also it has to be C-O-N-O-R.
Yeah.
Guhram?
Marab.
Marab?
I don't know.
I feel like,
wait,
am I crazy?
Isn't Paul Craig's daughter
in some way named?
Hold on one second.
Name my kid Craig?
Hold on, doing some research here.
All right, we got crack researcher over here, Eric Jackman, working through it.
Frank, who are you naming your kid after?
Goddard?
Goddard Lenz?
Yes.
Paul Craig has a daughter, one of them named Maya, after Damien Maya.
Wow.
Yeah.
Wow.
That guy is a fucking fighter through and through, like, legit.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
All right.
Buffer.
Oh.
Bruce ain't bad.
What up, boys, in the back.
It's Matthew from FSA, feeling a little under the weather,
but it's okay because football starts today,
so you got the Cowboys and Eagles.
So I'll just curious with all this football talk recently,
what do you think y'all's 40-yard dash times would be,
and would you rank y'all's one through five between you, Conner, Eric, Jordan,
mysterious rank, and Ariel.
Shout out to the whole team, keep doing your thing.
Thank you.
All right, I think I'm sneaking in just under five
First of all, we have to have Andy as well
We're not excluding everybody on the crew is going to get in
I think I can do under six
That's about where I'm at right now
I think I'm sneaking in like a 4-8-7
Yeah, I don't think I can get that fast anymore
Jordan, what are you thinking, man?
I'm thinking somewhere in the fours
You know, just my speed is incendiary
Frank just said he's in the threes
Frank's going...
Frank's going six plus, if not seven plus.
I think that would be...
Frank, when was the last time you full-on sprinted?
When you tried to fart on me the other day.
I think I would be number two behind Connor.
That's where I think I would place.
I'd like to see Ariel get out there,
a rich Eisen-esque.
Yeah, he always does one...
We should do it on Crown Olympics,
have some events, and even the playing field.
We could do some chess boxing kind of stuff.
No running.
No running.
Andy, where are you...
No.
Like, I didn't move.
Like, I'm not, yeah, I'm not running.
Yeah, you said, fuck this.
All right, I'm out.
I think I'm number two.
I think I'm confident in that.
Always in the back.
But, but, but, always in the back.
What's up, guys?
I'm Lincoln.
First time, caller, long time.
Oh, shout out.
What's up, Lincoln?
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Oh, let's go, Pittsburgh.
No, shout out you, G.C.
Oh, I missed it.
I knew he's going to do it.
I knew he's going to do it.
I know you guys.
Anyways, I just finished listening to your show today, like a couple minutes ago.
and Rick was talking about how you can kind of do anything you don't really
oh wow I'm like nervous shit anyway um don't be rough
Rick was talking about how you can use your major for pretty much like you don't
have to use your major you can pretty much go anywhere he studied marketing but he
ended up at Ariel we all know the famous email story about how he like emailed
Ariel and he ended up doing that but it just made me wonder like I was curious what
the rest of people studied um and if they are using their major
or if they've gone a different route and if they ended up going a different route how exactly they went about that
like me for example i'm studying physical therapy um probably going to do that but we'll see what happens
but i'm just wondering if i wanted to you know end up like you guys are doing something else like how
i would even go about that like i don't know how i would end up being a like working a different job
with a major like this so i'm just curious what uh you guys's experiences were thanks love you guys
really shout to Pittsburgh.
I actually am using my degree.
I got a degree in sports journalism with a sports media certificate, studied this.
And there was classes where, like, we would go to a football stadium on Friday's, a high school football stadium, and, like, put on a broadcast.
And then there was a thing called Sports Source, where you would do a, like, a sports center mock as well.
My internships were with the CW with 680 the fan in Atlanta, like a sports radio station.
and then my job before this was at ESPN Radio.
So you kind of followed a clear path.
Yeah, this was something I've always kind of wanted to be in
ever since I got into college.
I feel like the rest of the backup probably did a similar thing
where they did follow their degrees.
But tell me.
Yeah, I did. I did mine.
What did you major in, Andy?
TV production, radio TV production.
So yeah, I'm doing exactly what I went to school.
Frank, I feel like your trajectory is a little.
little bit different because you were like so heavy on the audio side that's right did you go to
school for i went to school for math then i went back to school for audio engineering all right
that still counts in my in my book though yeah i did broadcast journalism as well similar to gc where
like we had to go produce games produce newscasts you know oh hands on you guys are so fucking
boring you just you just went to school and then graduated and got a job i will say i will say this
it's funny that we're talking about this most of the people that i graduated with
are not in this field.
Yeah, I mean, that's kind of what I was getting at.
And to, like, going to school, what did he say, like, physical, uh, physical therapy?
Physical therapy, that's, that's almost like vocational.
I imagine that he will probably go into that field.
Um, if you are, essentially the message that I was trying to get across last time and I'll reiterate
is not necessarily like you should go do something different than your degree.
It's more the fact that skills translate as long as you have a degree or as long as you
are studying, as long as you have a skill set in something that can be applied to
anything else, you can find your way down that path. That's kind of what I'm advocating
for. So like develop a skill set that makes you able to transition to other things. So
if you can utilize the skills that you were developing in your physical therapy degree
to do something else related to that, maybe you become a team trainer for a sports organization
or something like that, that's the path I would suggest going down is making sure that your skills
translate across other things. Um, me, like,
My marketing and business skills that I learned are what make me more successful in this career,
not necessarily.
Like, I had to learn a lot of the production stuff.
There's still a lot of production stuff that I learn every single day from Andy, Frank, Jordan.
I'm constantly kind of like learning on the job when it comes to that type of stuff.
So build a good skill set.
But also, like, if that's your path, if you're going down that path, keep going down that path.
And hopefully you can be as successful as some of the people that you just heard from.
if you wanted to break into something like this
you just have to figure out
you have to get an opportunity
you have to get an entry that email that you
referred to is how I got my opportunity
and Ariel and Vox Media
and Chad from Vox gave me that opportunity
like many others who have been given opportunity
so once you have that opportunity
take advantage of it but reach out to people
network keep in contact
with a lot of the people that are doing things that you want
send an email try to get time on a calendar
you have to treat getting that job
like getting a job and so
it is not just like a secondary thing
but yeah good luck to you
and hopefully you utilize
that degree and put it to use and
it was worth the money that you spent to go to
school because education is
expensive as a motherfucker
What's up boys in the back
It's Nico calling again for Miami
Florida
I just wanted to say I am the
dude in the Strava group that runs
at University of Miami
Studd.
Stud.
My teammates on the show, on the boys in the back.
Yes, sir.
On all the uncrowned programming.
So, yeah, I just wanted to thank you guys for giving us some good entertainment.
Oh, no, thank you for listening.
He's a shout-out for his 48-minute 10-K.
Let's go.
Got to get that sub-45 on race day.
I know he's got it.
Yes, sir.
But, yeah, I just want to say thanks for you guys putting on such a great show every day.
Have a good one.
Oh, my man, Nico.
Appreciate you.
to the U, big one this weekend against USF on the CW, a top 15 clash on the CW.
I did not think the CW was going to fall into that one.
Nico puts up insane miles.
Shout to the Strava Group.
This Trava Group is like taking over.
Oh, people love it, man.
I'm telling you, join up, man.
I'm telling you, there'd be a massive pop for a New York Rick Post getting in there.
Plus, we'd get you out on the streets.
It seems to be motivating people.
I actually have to say, I just joined a run club, and like I was chatting with a guy,
just met him.
This guy doesn't know me from a doorknob, like, just met him.
And he asked to follow me on Strava.
And I was just like, oh, yeah, here you go, man.
And he's just like, oh, man, look at, like, Mussels McGee.
Because I do, like, the cliche, like, fighter, like, flex after I finish those of the pictures I post.
He's like, oh, look at Mussels McGee over here.
What is this?
And he's like, Shanghai, like, why are you wearing a Yao Ming jersey?
And I was like, uh, that it's just like a-tryrd to explain here.
I was like, it was like, he had to, like, go to work soon, too.
I was like, I was like, it's just like a work thing, man.
I don't know.
Like, we have a work Strava group.
So it's just that inside.
joke between us. So yeah, join up. Go on my profile. You'll see the group there. It's fantastic.
Explaining what we do to other people is sometimes a little bit odd and bizarre. It's quite
difficult. A quick break. Then we'll be back to finish up with voicemails and super chats.
All right, Frank. What are other voicemails we got?
What's up, guys? It's Daniel from Chicago.
What's up, Daniel?
I just wanted to know as what's your opinion as an Atlanta native, what's your favorite ATL rappers are.
You're a Gucci name guy, future
Let me know
Yeah
By the way, that's Daniel
Who broke the
Oh, shut out, legend
Legend, legend.
Friday night
We get to see the hens come to roost
The chickens come to roost on that one
Favorite Atlanta rappers
Young Thug has to be up there
The Migos in their heyday have to be up there
Is this in order or we just kind of doing like
These are general like
Yeah, these are general
Obviously you got to love Gucci
You got to love
TI, you got to love Ludacris,
like all these dudes had bangers like uh there's just
outcast oh love outcast like these are guys that like off the top of my head
I mean future is probably my one future and young thug is two
just because like in 2004 when like the the scene was as hot as could be like I was like nine
my parents weren't allowing me to to rip rap music so like when I was really listening to rap at
its peak it was in Atlanta it was future young thug megos had that run from like
2014 to like 2018 where like they were untouchable with like the bad and bougie and everything like
that. But if I had to go if I had to go top, I would go I would go future in Young Thug. I was at a
Young Thug concert one time and Gucci had just gotten out of jail and Gucci surprised the audience and
like I thought the place was about to cave in. It wasn't like a big arena. It was like a tiny
intimate venue and like Young Thug brought up Migos and then Gucci and they were all on the
stage together and I legit thought the place was about to cave in. I love that.
Hey guys. Long time listener. First time call. I love the show. By the way, that on-air Jordan is very handsome. Anyway, I'm assuming you've seen that video of the Phillies Karen. I'm pretty curious of your take on it. My thoughts are, what an actual moron to march over to a man and his family in a costume for a ball that you assume is yours. A. And B, I would have loved to have been in the saving myself just to boo her to her face. I'm not going to do it.
aggressive and lastly anyone who agrees with her has got to be an idiot but curious of your thoughts
on that anyway toodles uh maybe a little harsh on uh on the fillies girl there uh you've seen the clip
i've seen it uh i like i agree in a sense like it's obviously her fault like the ball needs to go
to the kid uh but like in my opinion i was talking about this with my friends who feel strongly
about the same thing they're like tweeting it
they're just like Karen
I'm just like all right all right
do we have Jordan can we get the clip to
play like I agree like
oh we have it wow wow okay
honor Jordan shit
handsome honor Jordan I agree the Karen
is a Karen but look at the dad run in
dad runs in rips it away starts
this like show off
march down to the kid and like
gives it to the kid look at her in pursuit
oh yeah she's hot in pursuit
he immediately hugs him why do he
them and then this reaction he's scared like all right my take on it is like she is she is a a
Karen here like this is she is in the wrong but I don't think the dad is as innocent as they seem like
they've been on local news shows they've been look at him his shoes are off be gone with you
like they've been on local news shows they've like been celebrated they got to meet the players
and everything like that they're on interviews and he's like yeah I just couldn't believe that it
happened. I actually argue he played a part in this, caused her reaction, and made her become
the Karen that it is. Can we play that again on this TV right here? I want to break this down
a little bit. Show you why I think the dad is a little bit to blame in this as well. The dad is
getting no grief in this. Excuse me, New York, Rick. Let me stand up. You come and sit here.
So if we start here, let's just start off paused. You can see the dad.
You've got to give some respect to him.
Starting off, massive closing speed for the dad on this one.
I mean, he's got to cover a lot of ground.
Here's that.
Here's where the ball lands.
Let's go ahead and play this.
There it is.
Pause it again right here.
He's in the shuffle.
Everything is fair game.
I totally agree with the point that this is all fair game here.
Let's go ahead and play.
It's up for grabs.
It's up for grabs.
Rips away.
Immediately starts this trot.
Here's another angle.
We pause it right there.
This is up for grabs completely right here.
Here.
Is that her hand?
Her hand might be on it.
Her hand might be on it.
Her hand might be on it.
Let's go ahead and play it.
It looks as if there's a ripping motion coming from the deck.
He rips that away.
And then he starts this trot, this parade to show.
This one's for the sun.
This one's for the sun.
There's slow motion.
Look at the...
Oh, he rips!
Right here!
There's a rips!
There is certainly a rip on the dead.
Look at the reach.
Let's pause it right there.
Oh, she's trying.
Look at the reach from woman.
You have to absolutely appreciate the reach from her.
Who knows what happens if she makes the grab right there.
And at this point,
The facial, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, phones are getting pulled out.
They're hot on the scene.
Let's go ahead and continue it.
Here's a massive issue I have with the dad.
This parade trot, this, like, I did it from my son, straight down to the sun.
I just don't love.
I mean, look at this.
Parading the whole way, I brought it for him.
There it is.
And then this is where my biggest issue is.
We got to pause it right here.
Look at this.
Oh, my God.
His eyes.
The kid sees it.
He spots it.
Demons from the area.
Tracks it.
But what is this?
dad's oblivious the dad immediately i don't think he's oblivious i think as he's trot down she's saying
something who knows about the trot down he obviously if you looked closer on the video he boxed out
dude i imagine when he was grabbing he was saying something like it's from my fucking
this is the face of a guilty man this is a man who is not innocent in all of this this is
he's trying to cope for his guiltiness by using the kid as a shield let's go ahead and
continue the playbook i have a i have a thought at the end of this but i want to keep this
What is this? What is this reaction? This is not the reaction of an innocent man.
What man would be scared of this woman like this? What is this body language right here from this guy?
He's putting on a front. He's feigning his innocence here. We continue along.
I'm getting convinced here. Then it goes there. If we can pause it right here, let me look at this. It's fully a scene now. We've got everyone looking on.
Oh, no. smiles are gone all around. This woman is losing it in the jersey over there.
Oh, yeah. We can continue along. The rest of the footage. Look at them. They're arguing.
She's obviously in the ball.
What is she pointing at?
She's obviously in the wrong.
But she's saying something.
She thinks she has a reason here.
But what is she pointing at?
You were back there.
You took my thing.
I don't know what she's saying.
Obviously, in the court of law here, we don't have audio.
She gets the ball.
I think if we had the audio, the dad would become much more guilty.
I agree, Karen.
I mean, look at the brown to bleach blonde ratio.
That's the can I see your manager 101 right there.
For sure.
But Karen, no doubt I'm not arguing that.
With our great caller, a secret admirer of one on-air,
Jordan, which is weird in its own right. So how much can you actually trust her opinion on that?
Absolutely. Karen for sure, Dad is not innocent in this. Can we actually just re-show it from the top just
real quickly? Just that very beginning scene. If you just run through it, I mean, closing speed on guy is
unbelievable. Like I said, he bumps, he bumps dude right here hard and he's definitely saying
something. It got nice. Guy in the Eagles jersey was so late. Look at this pause. This is a massive
blockout. He's putting shoulder to face on dude. Rippin.
ripping for sure he's ripping the hands out she had it she had it that's all I'm saying
okay uh right first of all I can see the woman right there very well done very well done
all I'm saying I got I got clown by my friends they were like no you're crazy she's Karen she's the
worst I'm like I don't think the dad is that innocent I don't think the dad is that innocent in all of
this that's all I'm saying so your biggest issue here is that someone called me handsome
important note that I second biggest issue I think the dad is more
guilty than people are perceiving it.
Ultimately, everything got right.
The kid got the ball.
That's what needed to happen.
You know, this is hot off the U.S. Open, the guy stealing the hat from the kid.
The lady should have known she was getting in the wrong.
The kid got the ball and he got to meet the players.
It was the best outcome.
I just don't think that that is innocent.
Okay, important notes here.
I have a question that I had not thought of until I saw this footage slowed down for the...
The kid does not get up.
The dad goes on his own accord to grab.
He's trying to make Junior's death.
But is it a selfish act, then?
Is the dad to blame for the selfish act where he rips it?
The parading of the ball. He walks it down.
Like, look, everybody, I got it for my son.
That's his shield of his guiltiness.
If the kid wanted it, I think the kid would have run for it.
So now I'm starting to shift toward, I'm starting to shift toward the Connor Burke's line
of thinking, which is dad's just trying to be a hero here.
He doesn't care who gets hurt in the equation.
Karen has her hand on the ball
and then the dad rips it away
she feels like I have this
without realizing oh it's going to the kid
here's where I ultimately diverge
and agree with our female caller
from before
once she gets there
and the dad is doing the performative
hug from behind of the kid
the hug makes my skin crawl it's so performing
you must stand down though you must stand down oh I agree
I agree because we paused it there
she has the hand already on his
like bicep when he's doing that
but what is like the like who's doing this and like the most surprising part to me is the
the this all started this all started because i was at uh i was at the gym and there was this guy
who was getting uh he had a personal trainer and it was on the tv and i was walking by and the guy was
like why did he do that uh like the reaction and i was like thank you and that's how this whole
conversation started uh it's all her fault it's all it's all his fault and everything um so yeah
so are you assigning blame to both sides is that essentially you're no no she's a karen she's the
worse for sure. There's no doubt about it. She shouldn't have taken the ball. It's ridiculous. I agree
with that. But I just don't think the dad was just like mozied on over, grabbed the ball, gave it to the kid, and was like, love you, son. I think he did something that he's hiding. In that scrum that we can't see and we don't have audio to, he did something nefarious that he doesn't want to admit to.
Everybody kind of had the phones out. I would have loved to see the right on the scene grabbing of the ball and the audio that was associated with. I would love to hear the audio.
ultimately though
what could she
justify taking the ball away from the kid
you can't chase down speed from her also was
was elite yeah and also the
anger it wasn't like
it wasn't like let's have a conversation it wasn't like
hey man like I kind of had my hand on the ball
it was instantaneous
like pure hatred
what are you going to do with the ball too
I mean if the photos of her out
out in the town after her any indication
she just throws it in the bag and walks away
you have to admit that that ball has like a lot more
wait to it now. Now it does. She did
all of the
The Karen ball. Getting the
Rast online. Biggest loser. She has it
sitting right on the mantle. She's like,
I love that ball. Stole that from a kid.
Yeah, honestly, that's actually pretty cool.
She was once a kid. Keep that in mind.
But she's not anymore. She was once a kid,
man. Still a kid at heart? Is it possible?
Like, I feel like we haven't heard from her, right? I've seen
fake kind of. We've heard from the dad.
The dad's been on a full media tour.
I mean, this is Captain America
right here getting the ball for his son.
My favorite meme is the... I'm just saying. He's not.
The one where she turns into Schmeagle.
There's been unbelievable.
Look at that.
Unbelievable memes that come out from that.
He has to admit, that's a cool character.
Look at that.
He's all happy.
I did not say it was a cool character.
It is not a cool character.
What's up, boys?
It's Harry from Long Island.
Fuck you, G.C.
Anyways, wanted to give it a shout out to Frank.
Oh, wow.
This is a great call.
Daph Punk is the number one thing to come out of France.

Jaylen Turner
at my work
I work at PetSmart
I work at PetSmart
and I'm working at PetSmart
I see a cool dog
and I look up
and is Jay Lynn Turner
training a dog at my work
talk to him
yesterday i met rampage um in huntington beach i was just walking on main street i ran through rampage
while he was screaming got to be on this stream um i also had chase super retreat one of my things
it's just crazy dude he was on the kick stream of rampage my question is all right yesterday i met rampage
on his stream i also met jalen turner which i'm going to do some breaking news about um
but yesterday i met rampage and i instantly froze up
I'm not usually Starstruck, but when I saw him, I kind of got a little nervous.
He's going to leave a super chat?
I mean, uh, and after I was done talking to him on the nose, I was like,
I'm starting to ask him about the aerial interview.
There was somebody who asked about being star struck.
I should have said anything else besides just being like, you're so cool, guys.
Wow.
Hello.
Hi.
You're so cool.
Um, and it was, you know, it was terrible.
So I wanted to ask you guys, have you guys ever met a celebrity or a person?
Maybe it was because this was the question before.
Like, damn, I wish I would have asked him this.
I wish I would have said this, but you didn't.
Also, on the Jalen Turner thing, I talked to him, and he told me, I wasn't supposed to say anything, but I'm going to tell you guys, we're all, we're telling everyone.
He told me that he's returning to fight in November.
Now, he was training his dog.
We talked a little bit about dog training, because I'm a dog trainer, and he was like, don't tell nobody, but I'm returning to fight.
Don't tell nobody, but tell everyone.
Dylan Turner officially out of retirement and is returning in November.
Hopefully we see him in the UFC.
And just thank you guys.
I love you guys.
I appreciate it.
So next time.

Peace.

Shout out to Fight merch.
Shout out to Perth Western Australia.
Yeah, he sent me a message, and we got some James Tihuna shirts coming our way.
Oh, fuck, yeah.
James Tihuna?
I still have, like, a real vision for the James Tahuna with Tyson Pedro.
Are you thinking, like, album cover, like, name, 90s style.
Three photos.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
James Tahuna, question mark, Tyson Pedro pictures.
heavyweight cotton oversized yeah yeah for sure block block style yeah
hey boys in the back this is matt from Dagestan by way of North Boston
Massachusetts the 978 do we believe Dagestan thank you GC
good call brother question of etiquette for the boys in the back I try to go to one big
UFC show every single year last year was the sphere had an extra ticket was in
GC's DMs, no answer.
I'm sorry. Tried to get a hold on fucking LinkedIn.
No answer. Tried to see him
at the live show that you guys
did. He was like John fucking Lennon.
300 people around him, couldn't
get to him. Ended up giving the ticket to a kid
in White Castle line at 3 o'clock
in the morning. White Castle, shut out.
Shout out of the White Castle.
Obviously next year, UFC White House
is the big unique event.
I'm going to move heaven and earth
to go to it. Oh, hell are you.
A question of etiquette for you guys.
Are you going black tie tuxedo, respect the office, respect the great man in the office that's getting this done, you know, really look dapper.
Or are you going Uncle Sam's suit, big American flag top hat, bald eagle in one hand if they let me in with it, you know, really show out for the boys.
Let me know what you think. Love the show. Thank you.
You are the absolute man. Incredible accent. I'm sorry that I didn't get your DMs or LinkedIn.
and I'm terrible at reading those.
If you really want to get to us, hit up Rick.
Rick reads, like, legitimately everything.
I read nothing.
I, like, I get, like, anxiety by seeing, like, the red dot.
And I'm just like, yeah, I'll check it later.
And then I never check it on.
So if anybody's ever messaged me and I didn't respond, I am very, very apologetic.
It means I just didn't see it.
Shout to White Castle as well.
I'm going, Uncle Sam.
No question.
We got some additional info on the White House thing earlier in the day.
was on the herd, Colin Cowherd.
Oh, yeah, shout out of the Colin Cowherd.
And said that only 5,000 people, under 5,000 people will be at this event.
Yeah, there's no chance I'm going to be able to be.
I don't think people are even going to be able to get in.
I think it's going to be friends, family, like, important people.
I really just don't think there's going to be a lot of fan presence on this.
Who me? Here's what I'm thinking.
Just be in D.C. for it is what I'm going to do, probably.
And, like, in the middle, it'll be in the middle of the World Cup going on here as well.
like man
country's going to be going
crazy
maybe catch a game
there as well
if there's any
going down in DC
he goes on
to say later
in the interview
with Coward
there's a
I can't remember
what they call it
but there's a
park that's connected
to the White House
we could put
85,000 people
over there
with screens
and we're going
to put a big
stage out there
do concerts
so he's thinking
like the whole week
remember like
we saw the
plans where it said
UFCX
it's going to be
around and not
necessarily the White House
lawn but it seems
like getting
on the actual
lawn for the event
is going to be extremely exclusive.
I can't imagine
that there's going to be
many fans, if any.
Yeah.
This is going to be,
there's a park near there.
Put up some screens,
might be the Washington Mall
that he's referring to.
Yeah, probably.
God, if fans got to go,
though, what an experience that would be.
If you could get into that event,
are they really going to be warming up
in the Lincoln better?
Yeah.
Crazy.
Oval Office, just getting your hands wrap?
Crazy.
Yeah, they're going to have
they're going to have
Cutman Tate in there
and they're going to be reaching
over the desk.
With their hand over the button.
Double beep.
Boys in the back, what's up?
It's Andreas calling from Portland Maid.
Hey, shout out Portland, man.
I love that city.
I want to ask you guys about how you approach flight analysis.
So, G.C., for you, that would be for betting purposes.
Are you mostly looking at stats?
Where do you go for that kind of stuff?
Is it the topology?
Do you look at any tape?
How do you approach that?
and for Rick, when looking at
five analysis, how do you approach that in terms
of storytelling? What kinds of
things that you're looking for? How do you frame a
narrative? That kind of stuff. Frank,
I want to know, what do you prefer?
Lateralis, 10,000 days
or fear, innoculum. And that's it. Thanks.
Shout out to shoutouts.
Shout out, brother.
For me,
yeah, a lot of topology, a lot of UFC stats,
a lot of looking back
on brief highlights, I used to watch way more
tape. Like, 2022 was like my peak of watching tape, and that was the best year I had betting.
I mean, if you're going to get really serious in UFC betting, like, you're going to need
the crunch tapes and also listen to people that are smarter than you. But yeah, a lot of just
looking back, watching highlights, remembering, because at this point now, I've watched all their
recent fights. So, yeah, yeah. But if you want to get good crunched the tape.
I used to, like you, I used to watch a lot more tape, especially in like the heyday of when I
was betting. Now, as you said, like, we kind of watch every event. So I've got like a
recent catalog from memory um storylines like i don't put too much stuff i wouldn't consider that
fight analysis i consider that more like promotional analysis as far as the fight analysis goes
like i'm kind of just looking for patterns i'm looking for style matchups i'm looking for things that
like i think will stand out and and be an important factor in the fight um and then i'm just comparing
that to the betting line you know if i get plus eve on something that's usually when i'll i'll
jump in but i'm kind of gun shy these days if i'm being completely honest i'm not
I'm not as big or better as I used to be.
But yeah, like styles make fights.
And I tend to just look at who style I think is going to be dominant and what opportunities are there for each person.
And then assign some kind of percentage value to that.
Look at the odds.
See what the implied odds on that are.
And then go from there.
But, yeah, we watch a lot of fights.
So, like, the crunching of tape is the best way to go and useful.
But I have so much knowledge of the last, like, couple of fights for most of these guys.
that I don't go back to that super often.
And to answer your question, Lateralus is goaded for me strictly the best.
I feel that Fear Inoculum is great.
It's like more of Adams kind of album.
Lateralus, I feel like it's a Danny Carey type album,
and then 10,000 days with the passing of Maynard's mom and all of that,
like it's like his album.
So it's good that you pointed out those three.
The guitar work, though, on Fear Anoculum is just amazing, Chef's Kiss.
What a boy.
What's up, man?
Nebraska.
Oh, my guy.
Shut out, Brett.
Oh, shout out to Nick Mullins.
Three things.
Listen to this.
Connor.
Do you know the score?
Hope you listen to me.
Hope you took Nebraska plus 34 and a half.
Minus 34 and a half.
Game ended 68 nothing.
That's what we call in.
Right.
He said he was worth like two touchdowns in addition.
Beat the shit out of them.
Great call, Brett.
You keep betting those sub-drops.
Number two, just in case you didn't take.
Nebraska. I've got another winner for you. This weekend, Saturday, Southern Miss. They're currently
a slight underdog. Probably going to be about even by the time you hear this. Free money. Finally,
number three, I've got a four-hour bus ride to our high school football game. I coach. Four hours
there, four hours back on Friday. What's the play? What movie am I watching? What am I listening
to other than, of course, this podcast? Appreciate you guys. Shout out Frank. See you.
Yeah, at that point. Shout out to Brett, by the way. A dead ringer on that minus 34 and a half, 168 nothing. He called it. He was there. Also, shout out Nick Mullins legend. Are you going to take his bet for this week?
Yeah, Miss State, I guess. Moneyline, he said, yeah. I guess he was saying it's going to be close to even by now.
Do we start a Brett from Nebraska ladder challenge to try to turn $100 into $10K? What's he doing? He's got eight hours to cover, four hours each way.
Team must be good if they're traveling four hours to play.
Also, we're talking head coach, assistant coach, wide receivers coach.
I've been really engrossed in the Kauai Leonard Clippers storyline.
The Pablo Torre finds out reporting.
So if you haven't dug in on that and you are obviously a huge sports fan, listen to some of those.
There's the initial podcast that Pablo did where he spoke to Amina Hassan and, oh my God.
In front of the program, David Samson.
David Samson, who I absolutely adore, he's fantastic, about the revelation that Kauai was getting paid by this organization that was a fraud, and whether the Clippers were linked to it or not, there was a follow-up pod where he interviewed Mark Cuban about that, and Cuban vehemently defending Steve Balmer and saying he couldn't have been involved.
There was a follow-up that came out this morning where there was some additional reporting.
There were more payments made.
There was additional money put in by the vice.
Vice Chairman of the Clippers.
It is a saga and a half.
It's quite good. That'll kill a good six hours for you.
You could also watch the first third of like a Lord of the Rings movie if you wanted to kill that whole eight hours of time.
What else?
Lord of the Rings and a bad call.
Depends on which we're watching on those.
A little disrespectful to the trilogy to watch it on like an iPad or something like that.
Yeah, the Kuwait Leonard's not bad.
Frankie, what are you tuning into?
Maybe a little true crime?
Yeah, some true crime.
Okay.
Always a minute.
Watch the challenge.
Watch our boy Ben the Bean Davis.
Yeah, shout out.
What up, boys?
This is Andrew from Long Island.
What's up, Drew?
Shout out, shout out.
Shout out.
Shout out, long island.
I don't know what y'all's defense of Long Island, but it's a fucking dump.
It's a dump.
Shout out GC.
Shout out Rick, shout out Frank.
Shout out.
Also, not all of us hate Long Island.
love Long Island.
I have enough hate for it in my heart then.
Just was wondering what you guys thought.
With the rise of AI, how do you think
MMA is going to be changed?
Specifically, how do you think the UFC
will take on AI, you know,
potentially robot fighting?
There was that one movie
10 or 20 years back or so.
I'm sure Frankie knows it, but
there was one movie where it was like fighting robots.
You know, I've always saw that U.S.
he would eventually be like that.
You guys think it's going to be more
of like a slap fight thing
or, yeah, just let me know what you think.
On air, Jordan, don't worry.
I didn't forget about you.
Long Island Strong represent.
Have a good one, guys.
Appreciate all your time
and help with everything.
Long Island Strong.
He's got that accent for sure.
In Long Island, on Long Island?
Yeah, it's on Long Island.
In Manhattan, on Manhattan.
You're on it?
I don't know the rules for that one.
in Hawaii
on Hawaii
Boy in the
What the fuck?
Wait, wait, hold on, Frankie, hold on.
What was his question again?
His question was AI.
Oh, yeah, I don't know.
No, they're not going to do fighting robots, man.
That's not going to happen.
I don't imagine U.S.E. will do fighting.
Maybe judges, I don't think they're going to do much, man.
Well, they partnered with meta
for some kind of thing, so maybe they'll
do something related to that. The rankings, obviously, and
shit like that, but I do not think we will see
fighting robots.
No. Maybe Dana White goes into
Robot Fight League or something.
Do you think AI analysis?
Oh, now Frankie wants to talk.
He wants to move on to the next call.
It doesn't even want to say anything.
So, yeah, I was thinking analysis, right?
Like, you do a playback.
You have the AI bot, break it down.
You know, was it a tap?
Wasn't it a tap?
So they're replacing Joe Rogan is what you're saying.
Was Goddard as, you know, Iron Eagle eyed on that as it looked?
The answer is yes, always.
I ain't watching no clanker fight league.
AI Rogan is kind of interesting, actually, Frankie.
Not a bad shout out.
From the 615.
Appreciate the shout-out, G-C.
Oh, man, I'm sorry.
It started in the middle.
Yeah, I put that one up.
I'm sorry, man.
Boys in the back.
What's up?
It's your boy, Zach, from the 6-15.
Yeah, shout-up to 6-1-5.
Appreciate the shout-out, GC.
What's up, boys?
Just wanted to check in.
I know you guys talked a lot before about, like, you know,
bets that you were very comfortable in or bet that you lost that really hurt.
But what was some locks you really felt like, you know, going into the week that you felt
really good about.
And then the night of you were just like, damn, man, I missed that.
You know, for me, I know it's kind of, you know, there's a common ones, but Alstrode versus
O'Malley, Izzy versus Strickland, man, I just felt so confident in those.
Oh, you're saying like you thought it was a lot.
Damn, where did I go wrong?
Hey, man. Appreciate you guys.
GC, your dog's coming into Knoxville this week.
Going to beat your ass.
Hopefully we end the streak, brother.
They won't.
Go home.
Eight straight years, all eight wins by 14 plus.
I was there in 2017 in Knoxville when they kicked off the streak.
Pick on the first play.
It was over from there, 41-0.
Biggest home beat down in Tennessee football history will continue it this weekend.
College game day there, it's going to be sick.
Shout out.
There's too many to count.
I've blown so many parlays.
I mean, shout out to Cody Law, Bellator, like, 281.
It's like a minus 2,500 favorite.
Okay, but you didn't really feel that confident in Cody Law there.
I would take these guys at like minus 600 in Belator and then they close it like minus 10,000 and then they'd get beat 3026.
And I'm like, what the fuck?
I mean, there's been so many.
I was on Izzy against Strickdon.
I was like, he was like an anchor parlay piece for me.
There's been so many, man.
MMA, you say where did I go wrong?
MMA is just such a volatile sport, man.
Like, not only can anything happen in a fight,
but, like, you don't know where these guys are at entering the fight.
Like, you just have no idea.
There's so many variables when it comes down to it.
Like, things can just go wrong.
Like, I actually am very proud of myself for the last four years now.
I actually celebrated the four-year Annie.
I got a Snapchat memory walking into Vox for the first time.
Shout out.
On Monday, I believe it was.
Four years of all four years being profitable.
in gambling on MMA?
Because it's such a volatile sport.
It's not a team thing.
It's a one-on-one.
And like, bro, if it's not their night,
it's not their night.
Yeah, it is a difficult one.
For me, the recent one for me that comes to mind
is I was certain Anderson Silva was going to be Jake Ball.
Certain.
Dead, certain, just completely whiffed.
I was pretty certain Ming Yang Zhang was going to be Johnny Walker.
Yeah.
This guy's going to walk through him.
In Shanghai, there's a setup.
Nope.
I was wrong.
No.
Los Chico de Tras.
Yeah.
Chico de Tras.
What a do, crew.
Shout out, Andy.
Shut out.
How are we doing?
You know, in honor of a fight night, noche, you know, UFC.
You got a couple quick questions.
Rip them, brother.
And statements, I guess.
Eye, pokes.
They have to be.
Penalized.
Like, getting points for it now.
after the MOL fight with Baravio,
dude's eyeposed him three times,
and he's already known for eye pokes.
Like, after the first, like, warning,
as soon as he expands his hand out with his fingers out,
the point should be taken from there.
Clearly, they're not listening.
It should be enforced more.
And the rats are there to take care of the fighters.
Someone's going to lose their eyes,
just like bisping.
that and like another thing
if you guys were to matchmake
and welterweight how would you guys do it
because it seems like there's kind of a log jam there now
they're getting welter
not welterweight middle weight figured out now
but how would you guys do lightweight and welterweight
thank you guys appreciate the show
you guys keep on doing what you're doing
love you guys bye
my man appreciate the call
yeah in terms of the eye poke
once it gets to two
I'm with you
I'm with you like
there's it's the it's the foul
other than nut shots that like
can happen
like accidentally
but like yeah
if you do it twice man
then like you're extending
with the fingers out
it's you're bound to do it again
and even if it's accidental
it impacts a fight in a major way
especially if the vision is blurred
obviously you don't have to be as extreme
as like Balal and Leon
where it's like really significant
but like even you know
just a graze of the eye
is really changing the outcome
of the fight so I agree like there's a certain point um lightweight yeah I don't even
fucking know anymore it's all shaking up and nobody seems to be like when the fuck is patty pimble
gonna fight okay when's Justin Gage you gonna fight yeah what's gonna what's going on nobody seems to
be like in it I think I think at one point we're just gonna get a barrage of announcements
the only one I really know is yo let's do Gamera versus BSD that sounds great I love that
they're both down for that uh welterweight book shove god I
I know he's injured, man, but we need to get him on the books.
Booky and Gary.
Well, we got...
Fucking Sean Brady.
We got Leon and Carlos.
Do Brady versus Gary.
Yes, book it.
Book it, man.
Camaro versus Shavcott?
Malol versus Shovkat?
Down.
Shovcott versus anybody.
I'm down.
How about Michael Mara was sitting at seven?
He got a lot of mix, too.
Book him.
Yeah.
We just got to start booking guys.
It's tough.
We just need to see, like, at least a domino or two to fall.
Everybody's kind of just waiting around.
I don't love it.
It felt like Walter Waite was the one
where people were kind of moving.
Now we're just sitting.
Now we're just waiting.
MJD6, as I bet GC has never been to a UGA basketball game.
You are, you couldn't be more wrong.
How would he think that, by the way?
I went to the school for three years.
I mean, I was born and raised in Stegman Coliseum.
The sports fan that you are,
it would be next to impossible for that to be true.
Sat outside Stegman for like six hours to get a Kentucky ticket.
Come on.
How do you say boys in the back in Spanish?
I think he said, Los Chicoes.
in the detras
Deiattras?
Deyatras
Shout out
Shout out
Shout out
And then
Brett says
Frank you better make sure
Big GC
takes Southern Miss
Not Mississippi State
How much
Did you say
Shout out
In Spanish
Come on man
You think I'm a newbie here
Of course
I'm taking Southern Miss
Shout out the Brett Fav
Bring back
My Diosm
MJG6 says
Go Gators
Oh yeah man
Sick win last weekend
Oh wait
You lost the USF
Sick man
Yo
boys in the back it's jimmer jim i just wanted to give a shout out this week to uh my little
brother mason shout to mason he's playing in a soccer tournament this weekend up in tahoe
oh shout was in taho he's uh lately been feeling like he isn't really getting the recognition
because he plays right back on the team plays defender and um in soccer oftentimes as a defender
you get all of the blame when things go wrong and not in the credit when things are
going right. So it kind of reminded me of you guys. I know that you guys are all the people
that people point fingers at when things go wrong, but what are some of the little things that
you guys do that maybe go unrecognized? This question extends to Jordan and Andy as well.
Yeah, I feel like sometimes in your guys' roles you guys don't get the same recognition
that AH gets, but you guys deserve it. So anyways, love you guys.
thank you for the call man we appreciate you listening and appreciate the kind words
yeah I mean it's just part of the job like the things that go and recognize we're
it's just things behind the scenes we don't need to be recognized for them it's just it's
just part of the job description yeah nobody's gonna go out of their way now to be like well
I actually do this and that but there are many moments like that yeah other than Frank
who's a glory hound but there are many moments like that like um as just one example
during the show
where we had to go on late
like Andy jumped to action
got us on air
and made the show run for that one
there's tons of examples like that
and everybody behind the scenes
contributes in a major way
we're a very small team
GC said something super prescient earlier
and something that I really stuck with me
he was talking about
how we're a small team
so like if you're not doing your job
it's pretty obvious right
like there's not a lot of people
that are going to you know catch that
but we as a small team
do a great job of doing that. The AHA show is one of the best shows out there, in my opinion,
as is this show, as is the crack. I feel like we do a really good job as a team, and we're small
but mighty. So anytime somebody needs somebody else to step up, we have a tendency to do that.
But I'm very proud of this team. I'm very proud of what we're able to produce. Hopefully you
guys like what we're producing. It seems like you do. So yeah, I don't think, you know, there's a
laundry list of those things, but it doesn't help anybody to do that. Just shout out to everybody who
works on the show. And there's tons of people behind the scenes, too. It's not just this
immediate control room. There's lots of people who work on this from the engineering side,
from the encoding side, from the promotion side, from the sales side. There's a lot of people
that do go into this. Our immediate production team is pretty small, but everybody here
pulls their weight, and so I'm very proud of that.
Well said.
What up? Long time, listener. Long time.
Oh. Our guy.
And proud to announce the TFL has announced the signing of the hottest prospect in MMA.
White Heavyweight contender?
Nope.
Walterweight contender, no.
Middleweight contender, Brian, Battle to an exclusive multi-year contract.
Battle will make his PFL debut in 2026.
He's a nine-fighted UFC veteran, the 29th Ultimate Fighter Season middleweight champion.
Battle has not tasted defeat since 2022.
and owns many impressive victories, including coming off one in Dirty Boxing.
So we are excited.
See how he matches up with Pistella Van Scenis, Fabian Edwards, and many others.
Oh, damn.
It's getting put into the title talks already.
Middleweight division.
And now this week's, she has got so much to talk about.
This week's Admi Backline segment is sponsored by Fragile Express.
Fragile Express is the finest delivery services in the continental United States central region.
Fragile Express, your packages will always be handled with love.
Fank, have you been playing the Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remaster?
It's a lot of fun.
It's pretty crazy to see it in the current generation systems graphics.
Pretty much everything holds up for me, except, you know, I don't know if you guys have
HR at uncrowned, but gee whiz, you know.
I hadn't the HR.
You're looking out.
Snake would not get away with some of the stuff, I think, in today's day and is the only
thing that stood out to me, you know.
There was not HR back then, but boy, did Snake certainly harassed his coworkers on the
codec.
That poor paramedic.
Anyway, let me know what you guys think about the game if you have an HR department at
uncround, and how excited you are to see.
I am HR.
Middleweight.
Yep.
Checking it again.
Yep.
Middleweight.
Ryan Battle.
Make his PSL debut in 2026.
Thanks.
Take it easy.
Oh, Donnie.
Can't wait to watch and make his debut.
Shout out Brian Battle.
Hopefully you can get back on track, back on the mic, cut a mean promo.
Shut up.
Metal Gear.
My favorite franchise.
That's Rick Slane right there.
Yeah.
And I'm H.R.
I have several meetings with Frankie over the last few months.
Frankie, are you playing Snake Eater Remaster?
No, I'm saving that for a rainy day.
Okay.
Saving everything for a race.
A rainy day, man. What if a rainy day never comes?
Is it a threat?
It's fucked up, man.
I'll see an A chart tomorrow.
Hey, boys, I'm back.
It's Lucas from Buffalo.
What's up, Lucas?
I shout out Fred Jackson.
Oh, shout out to Fred Jackson.
I just finished listening to the aerial show from yesterday.
And I wanted to bring up something that Frank said.
I have a complaint.
Frank said only guys eat flats and girls eat drums from
Yeah, that was controversial
And I just wanted to say
The people of Buffalo get enough bad PR
From people who get too drunk at those games
And now you're trying to make the people of Buffalo
All sound like sexist
How dare you
Agreed
Some of the aggression in this guy
For real
How dare you
I love the vocal Friday at the end
That's how he finished
That's how he ended.
That's it, I guess.
All joking aside.
So I said that on the air yesterday.
You did.
I looked down at my phone.
My wife messaged me, said, you got it, you got it backwards.
I'm like, oh, shit.
Can you confirm this with mom?
She was like, no, you hung yourself out to dry on this one.
I'm like, shit.
I go to the chat.
Someone's like, yo, I'm from Buffalo.
You got this wrong.
Didn't say if I got it wrong, like, it doesn't exist or if I got them backwards.
So last night at dinner, I bring it up, you know, tail in between my,
my legs. I'm like, how much trouble am I end? She's like, well, you know, just, I don't really
recall what she said, but yeah, I think you got it wrong. I'm like, you know what, so I called
mom, speakerphone. She's in Vegas, having a good time. She set the record straight. The flats
are for the ladies. The drumsticks are for the men. I was wrong. The association with
male and female preferences is an old myth or joke. I mean, I confirmed it. She's like, yeah,
we had this conversation. Yes, I said things that were similar to that. No, you misrepresented
me on the show.
Wow.
And I might need to stay at your place, Conner.
9 a.m. at HR.
9 a.m. H.R. We'll see you then.
She took it to you, huh? She said you misrepresenting.
I'm telling you, these people from Buffalo, they don't fuck around.
I try to make one joke about the Cowboys' Buffalo Super Bowl thing in the early 90s.
Woo!
It wasn't good.
Yeah.
Last one.
Hey, boys, my back.
Shout me a quote from Sweden.
Shout out, Sammy.
I have a question this week.
I just want to say a big thank you to you guys and the show
for giving us fans a platform to ask questions
and to be involved in the show.
And it's helped me deeply with my confidence in asking questions,
thinking of a bad question and pointing forward,
whether it's through super chats or leaving a voice now.
So just like to thank you once again.
It's helped me deeply.
I think that the grades that maybe I should have got out of school,
didn't get support in primary school.
I think it's called elementary school in the US.
But so that's why sometimes I struggled with grandma spelling.
Yeah, I just thank you once again.
I'm really happy to be fought.
My man.
Take out of great show, guys.
Thank you, Sammy.
My God.
Yeah, absolutely, man.
I really appreciate you.
Always see you in the comment, Sammy.
Thank you for rolling.
Thank you for all the super chats.
You're the man, brother.
Yep.
How many more we have, Frankie?
How many in total, or how many left?
How many left?
That was the last one.
Shout out to Sammy to end us.
That was, he absolutely nailed it.
Any super chats?
They're extra super today.
What makes him extra super?
Do we think Crawford retires if he wins?
It's possible.
Might.
He's about to turn 38 in like three weeks.
I don't think for somebody like Crawford,
like kind of like somebody like Mayweather,
you don't really have to retire, right?
Like you're just kind of,
you could just be there and not take a fight against anybody.
They can take your belts away,
but he's already, if he wins on Saturday,
he's already undisputed in three different weight classes
like there's not really much you have left to accomplish
so I wouldn't be surprised if he walks away
but I don't think he needs to make some kind of like formal announcement
he can just kind of like wait there
until there's a big opportunity ahead of him
like an Ilya taboria fight or something like that
wouldn't be surprised though
if he's just like dude I fucking did everything
everything I got Canello's name on my resume now
undisputed three weight classes see you later
New York Rick I bet you $100
to any charity of your choice that Diego Lopez
Ooh, Nathan Garcia.
We're on.
All right.
Nathan Garcia just made an official bet.
$10 super chat and he'll bet $100.
We're on.
Diego Lopez beats John Silva.
If I win 100 to a charity, if you win 100 to your charity, we're on.
I love it.
Let's go.
Frankie, any thoughts on that?
Getting John Silva at even odds.
I mean, it was a pretty good deal for me.
Sorry, Frank.
You know what?
Any thought?
Sorry about that.
Frankie, any thoughts on the new Deftones album?
What I've heard I've liked, I have not been able to really spend time with it,
but the production sounds amazing compared to especially some of their older stuff.
So I'll keep checking it out.
What's up, gang?
Six, seven is a phrase from rapper Scrillus song, Doot Doot.
Even though GC picking against the brother, Terrence Crawford,
he can come to their family barbecue or the...
Oh, yeah, shut out.
Appreciate that.
Appreciate the invite, Josh.
Officially invited.
Got it to doot, dude, as well.
6-7, bro.
Benny Evita, can't believe G.C. is a Karen defender.
Shake my head.
My head.
You didn't understand it, Benny.
I'm not a Karen defender.
I think we all agree.
She is a Karen.
The dad is not as innocent and he's made out to be.
He's going on news shows as a hero.
He's being paraded around as a hero.
I didn't see a hero.
I saw a guilty man.
I think Benny anticipated you saying something like this,
because he clapped back.
Playground rules.
finders keepers losers weepers okay i i like i'll remember that ben frank reading shake my head my

Benjamin. Shout out, everyone.
By agreeing with me, you earned it.
Yeah, she's a Karen.
The dad's up to something. The dad's up to something.
I think you convince me as well.
If you don't get chills when he gives that performative fake hug and then the...
I will say that was a bit much.
Duh! Like, who reacts like that, man? Come on. Chill out.
Shout out to everyone much love from the UK.
Hey, shout out to you, Zombie Slayer.
Rick, rank the Metal Gear Solid Games.
I think you should start with the MSX ones.
What's MSS?
Oh, wait, what?
MSX, like the original platform that Metal Gear was on.
Oh, is that like the original Metal Gear, not solid?
Yes, sir.
My knowledge kind of starts with solid, if I'm being honest.
Solid choice.
I like, okay, so here's the thing.
I stop after four.
Four is the last one I played, because that's when I stopped playing video games.
Two is the most significant to me
I know
Ryden is kind of a controversial character
People didn't really like that they switched from snake
But I really enjoyed it
Snake Eater is probably the best one
So I'll go three
One two
No four
I don't remember if I even liked four
Jesus Christ
It's been a minute
We'll go three
One two four
But yeah
They're all fucking fantastic
They really are great games
I got to get back into it, but I don't have a PlayStation.
And maybe I can find like a ROM or something, but love Metal Gear Solid.
In fact, my car is named Solid Snake.
So, shout out to Metal Gear Solid.
All right, so I said that I'll read them as they are shown.
This one takes a little bit of deciphering.
I think it's in another language.
We can go ahead and show it.
But I believe it says, what's up, boys in the back?
Big fan of the show.
um what do you think of the luchador mask for ufc noche all right so what they're actually asking i think

Something about the day.
They hope that you have a beautiful day
Oh, Esperal, Kay.
Huge fucking fan of the show.

Okay, yeah.
No, I won't be wearing the Litora mask.
Thank you for the $5.00.

I got half of it.

Like, have to.
Been learning about Abert to start using the past with the auto
and everything like that.
Starts getting really hard.
From here, huh?
We're going along, yeah, we're coming along.
I hope we never get to the Suhentivo in high school.
Trip me up every day.

Keep grinding away one day.

Anything else?
That was it.

Exactly.

Keep sending the men.
We love reading them.
We love answering them.
They are super chats.

He wants me to shout out Creswell Hall in Athens, which is a dorm.
So yeah, shout out to Creswell.
