Welcome to the uncrowned wrestling show.
Solomonster here for Tuesday, October 6th,
2020.
I get to spend my birthday with you guys today and talk some wrestling.
Today is also a landmark day.
It marks the completion of the $110 billion merger of Paramount Skydance and Warner Brothers
Discovery, the media rights partner of AEW,
the same Warner Brothers Discovery that reportedly owns a minority stake in AEW.
That now falls under Skydance, which is the news.
name of the new corporate brand under which Paramount and Warner now exists.
Kind of like WWE and UFC under TKO.
David Burson will be the man heading up Skydance Sports, which may include AEW.
I'm not sure if it's going to fall under sports or not.
Right now under Warner, AEW falls under the entertainment side of things.
So he may be an important name to AEW's future, but the other name to watch here
is a man by the name of Enon Cros.
who is their new co-CEO who previously served as CEO of Mattel,
a man that has been described as ruthless when it comes to cost cutting,
which is going to be one of his primary functions.
At Mattel, he cut costs to the bone.
And David Ellison has promised at least $6 billion in what they're calling
cost synergies, which is just a fancy way of saying,
slashing costs wherever they can, be it jobs or otherwise.
So that could have an impact when it comes time for AEW,
to negotiate its next media rights package,
which would be next year,
unless they get rolled over one more year into 2028,
which Warner has the option of doing.
But remember that name.
He may have a big role to play in that.
There was some real good wrestling on Saturday night
with Scott DeMore's Maple Leaf Pro Show,
Northern Rising,
from the legendary Maple Leaf Gardens
or whatever name it's going by today.
That's an iconic venue,
and it was one of the places that Adam Copeland
wanted to check off his wrestling bucket list.
list. That's how Scott was able to lure him in for a match on that show. Copeland beat Steve
Macklin in the main event. He has an actual list, and he has been able to cross off
Arena, Mexico, and Wembley Stadium so far this year. And now he can add Maple Leaf Gardens to
that list, which only leaves the Tokyo Dome. And I don't think that he plans on going too
many more years. So this coming Russell Kingdom show in January may be his last chance to make
that a reality. And with AEW's partnership with New Japan,
It's very doable.
I don't think New Japan would say no to Adam Copeland if he wanted to wrestle on that show,
nor would Tony Kahn stand in his way if he really wanted to do it.
But Copeland put Macklin over pretty strong on the mic after their match,
he said no matter what I think of Steve Macklin as a person,
that man should be the most wanted free agent in this industry.
He is that damn good.
He is very good.
I'm sure he'll land somewhere soon.
Josh Alexander and Stu Grayson, they had a hell of a match on that same show from what I've read.
I haven't seen their match yet, only some highlights.
But it looks like DeMore has got a good thing going there with MLP.
And he's got Morrow Renalo on play-by-play, which is an instant win.
What I've heard of him and Don Callis together on commentary, they are one of the best duos in all of wrestling right now.
But AEW, they put on a hell of a show on Wednesday in tribute to PAC, who passed away last week.
I've got thoughts on that and new details about his death.
We've got to talk about money in the bank this weekend.
a preview and predictions for you. News on the NXT talent who just torpedoed his own career
after being accused of stalking and harassment by another NXT talent. That story is just wild.
Raja Jackson, he's been released from jail. And some other news and notes. So let's get into it.
If you are not already subscribed to the Ariel Helwani Show feed for these shows, you can subscribe
to the dedicated feed for the uncrowned wrestling show. Make sure you are so that when new episodes drop,
be the first to know and leave a review. That always helps. As you know, Benjamin Satterley,
known to the world as the Bastard Pack in AEW, died the day after AEW's All-Out pay-per-view
at the age of 40, less than 24 hours after wrestling in the opening match of that very pay-per-view.
He was found dead in his rental car in the parking lot of the CAVA restaurant about a mile or so
from Chicago O'Hare Airport right across the street from the Allstate Arena, where WWE held its
World's Collide Show the night before.
Well, we got new details yesterday that Satterley had saliva on the front of his shirt and medication
in his car when he was found.
This is from a member of the Deplane Police Department in their incident report obtained by
the California Post on Monday.
A search of Satterley's pockets and backpack did not result in any notable findings.
type of medication was redacted in the documents. Saturday's phone did allegedly provide police
clues on where he was heading. I noticed that Google Maps was still open on his cell phone and it was
routing him to O'Hare Airport. An officer stated in the police report. The official added that
Satterley's phone had been buzzing and when it was answered, a woman on the other line said they knew him.
She said that she last spoke to him on the phone around 120 p.m. And he related that he was going to
Kava for lunch. He'd been traveling for his occupation as a professional wrestler for the past
three weeks around the United States and had been in the Chicago area since Thursday or Friday.
She related that his flight had been delayed and he was scheduled on his flight back to the
UK at approximately 3.30 p.m. So those are the new details that we have. They did do an autopsy.
It could take several weeks, though, before tests come back to indicate a cause of death. I know
everybody is wondering, and it's only natural to wonder. I mean, this guy was in phenomenal shape,
physically, top of his game, only 40 years old. I think in August he had just turned 40. People are
wondering, you know, what happened here. And it will come out. It will come out in due course,
but right now we just don't know what we don't know. But this all happened the same day as the
memorial service, the celebration of life for the butcher, Andy Williams, who also passed away
last month, and who PAC was very close with.
And there were a lot of wrestlers at that service who got the news while they were there
that PAC had died.
Like, to be there mourning the death of one of your friends when you get the news of another,
and both in their 40s, it's just awful.
Mike Santana said it best yesterday, he said, normalize giving people their flowers while
they're still here to smell them.
And it's so true, like so many times you hear of all these, you know,
You hear all these wonderful glowing things about someone after they die.
Like what a good person they were, what a great wrestler they were.
And many of them never get to hear it when they're still alive.
Like how much they really mean to people or how much their work is appreciated.
I spent a good part of my week talking about what a great wrestler PAC was and how innovative he was.
And his friends and colleagues talked about what a kind and funny person he was.
And you hope he got to hear some of that when he was still here.
But I think we do need to try to do more of that when people are still here to know it.
Maybe they're too humble.
Maybe they don't want to hear it.
But I think it still needs to be said.
Pack was fantastic.
There's a reason that he found success everywhere he went, right?
Maybe not always as much as he may have deserved, but he was a champion everywhere.
He was a featured performer right up until the very end.
I mean, he was all over that all-out pay-per-view.
From the opener to the main event with Will Osprey and John Moxley.
And speaking of John Moxley, on Wednesday, I think he showed why he's the ace of that company.
AW Dynamite, it was a tribute show to pack.
It wasn't about forwarding storylines.
It wasn't about promoting the next pay-per-view or collision or this week's dynamite in France.
It was all about Ben.
And it was a tremendous two and a half hours that I hope I never have to see again.
But if you were going to do a tribute show, I don't think you could have handled it any better than they did.
You know, it's not easy.
It's not easy. It's not fun to see the men and women on that roster as vulnerable and emotional as they were on live TV like that. But in a way, I guess maybe for them it could help being around other people like that. But John Moxley, he was the anchor on that show. From the opening to the closing, he played wrestler, announcer, cornerman, you name it, he did it. Tony Chavani, I thought, did a great job on commentary also, stepping in for Excalibur in those moments where you can. You name it, he did it. Tony Chavani, I thought, did a great job on commentary also, stepping in for Excalibre in those moments where you can,
could just tell that Excalibur was having trouble holding it together. So hat tip to those guys.
The Moxley promo, though, that they aired at the top of the show, I will not forget anytime soon.
It was recorded last Saturday after All Out. Pack was standing there next to him, along with the
rest of the death riders. They were out in the parking lot, I think. And Moxley was talking about his
loss to Will Osprey. And I'm not going to give you chapter and verse on the promo here, but the key stuff,
mentioned in the course of this promo that you're going to lose in wrestling, you're going to lose in life,
you're going to lose people. Every day is a gift. He said there are two types of eulogies at funerals.
One is, this is what that guy did. The other is this is who this guy was. And when I'm dead and burned up,
I know what eulogy I want to have. I know what I want people to say about me at my funeral.
And I know what I expect from you, Will. After a few years, I'm a few years. I'm a
I think people still don't see what we have, what this place can be, what we've been gifted,
what's at stake, the future of pro wrestling, our craft, what we grew up dreaming of doing.
We have the future of pro wrestling in the palm of our hands.
It's going to be what we make of it, all of us, you, and anyone else who has the guts to do what it takes to be great,
to really grab life by the balls, to take this opportunity to take this gift and do something with it.
and then after he walked away, the other death riders they left one by one with PACT being the last one to leave.
It was an incredible piece of business, but I mean, just given what happened the next day, it just takes on a whole different meaning now.
Because think about it, like, his promo ended up being a eulogy for someone who wasn't even dead yet,
and that person was standing right next to him, and he didn't even know it.
And the comparison that I made on my show a few days ago was to the Ultimate Warrior promo on Raw after WrestleMania 30.
you know, where he talked about a man's legacy and how one day, you know, we breathe our final breath,
which he ended up doing the very next day.
It was almost like he knew, like he had a premonition.
This kind of reminded me of that, but obviously nobody knew in this instance.
Moxley had no idea.
I assume he was saying those things about, you know, eulogies and funerals because the butcher, you know,
his death was still fresh in everyone's minds.
Remember, his service was the very next day.
So I'm sure that was what was on his mom.
but it was still a very eerie thing to watch.
A lot of people showed up and wanted to be part of that show to pay tribute to PAC.
Kenny Omega, he tagged with Hangman Adam Page and the Young Bucks for an elite reunion.
Kenny was in Japan.
Probably was still supposed to be there, but he flew in to be part of that show and to wrestle.
Mercedes-Money, she wrestled with a broken nose, even though she wasn't cleared to wrestle at all out,
which is why we ended up with a number one contenders match on that pay-per-view instead of a title match.
Brian Danielson, who would not wrestle a match in two years.
He's been retired with a bad neck.
He came out of retirement to be part of that big 10-man tag team main event,
and the guy was out there taking bumps for PAC.
That is how much he meant to them.
Will Osprey and Rickishay, they wrestled each other two men whose careers are linked to PAC.
Osprey even busted out a black arrow in his honor,
which is a move that he hasn't done, he said, in eight years.
Tony Chavani on his podcast the day before said he thinks the Black Arrow should be retired in Pax Honor, which I don't really think is necessary.
But what I would like to see as a fan is that anybody who's going to use that move, and I don't think it should be used all the time.
But anyone who's going to use that move, nobody should kick out of it.
If there's a move that should be protected at all times, if it's going to be used, it should be the Black Arrow.
And just that closing shot at the end of the show, all the members of the Death Rider standing together,
other arm and arm in the ring. They had an empty chair with a towel draped over it in honor of
pack because he used to sit on that chair in the crowd when he would make his entrance and just
they're all standing behind the chair and they're all just in tears. And that's how they went off
the air. It was just an incredible shot and it was an incredible show. And they should feel,
you know, very, very proud of what they put together on Wednesday. Again, this sort of thing that
you hope you never have to see again. But if you do have to
to see it, I don't think they could have done a better job with it.
Now this week, because game three of the ALDS is airing on TBS tomorrow night,
Dynamite is being bumped up by a night. So Dynamite is airing tonight as I am recording
this. They are in Paris for their Grand Slam France show. And they have put together a hell
of a card here. It's like a mini pay-per-view. Will Osprey is defending his AEW World
Championship against the international champion, Kazuchka Okada, after O'Sprey.
Osprey himself issued the challenge to Okada at the media scrum after all out.
Darby Allen defends his TNT championship against Kyle Fletcher, the former champion, who already
has a tag team title match with Kevin Knight scheduled against the Young Bucks at
Russell Dream, which is less than two weeks away.
Kofi, who was one-third of the trios champions, he beat the Ring of Honor pure champion.
A lot of titles here.
He beat the pure champion Lee Moriarty, 800 days in counting, beat him on collision.
beat him on collision in his AEW singles debut,
and Kofi later issued the challenge to Bandito
to a match that will take place tonight in France
for Bandito's Ring of Honor World title.
Queen Aminata, she's going to be challenging Mercedes-Money
tonight for the AW Women's World Championship.
The winner of that will go on to wrestle Dream
to defend against Tecla.
John Moxley and Gabe Kidd of the Death Riders
just added to the show tonight.
They're going to be taking on Jake Doyle and Mark Davis,
Davis and Doyle of the Don Callis family.
Samoa Joe is going to be wrestling Jack Perry as well.
And Chris Jericho is wrestling Nick Wayne tonight,
but that match is going to be taped for Saturday in their Grand Slam Collision episode.
I don't know what other matches are taking place on that show, but that is one of them.
Now, we also learned this weekend, who Will Osprey or Okada, I guess.
I mean, that's not happening, but it could be Okada in theory, but it's going to be Will Osprey.
who he is defending the AW World Championship against at their wrestle dream pay-per-view.
Because they didn't really have anybody else lined up for Osprey coming out of all out.
I mean, nobody obvious.
But now we know he came together with Tony Khan.
They have created a new match concept, or at least Osprey has created a new match concept.
He actually debuted it in the pro wrestling Eve promotion,
which is the all-women's promotion that Osprey works for and is a producer for
and I think he books for in the UK.
And so they're going to try it out here in AEW,
and they're calling it a clockwork carnage match.
And so I'm going to go through the rules real quick here.
It sounds very complicated.
It's not that complicated, but when you really,
when you have to sit here and you have to read through
what all the rules are going to be or explain it to somebody,
yes, it does sound complicated.
But basically, it's divided into two stages or two phases, all right?
Phase one, you're going to have two wrestlers
chosen at random who will begin the match.
Every three minutes thereafter, another randomly selected wrestler is going to enter the fray.
And by the way, there's going to be eight men in total.
I believe that they're all going to have to qualify.
So the Samoa Joe match with Jack Perry tonight, for example, is a qualifying match.
So you got eight names, two of which will be chosen at random to start out,
and then every three minutes after that another randomly selected name will enter the fray.
until all eight men have entered.
And anyone who gets pinned or submitted in that first phase is eliminated.
They don't make it to phase two.
But once that eighth man is out, that is when phase two begins.
And that includes a 15-minute scoring period.
During those 15 minutes, every pin or submission,
with however many of the original eight men are left,
it could be all eight, it could be four, it could be five.
Whoever's left, it basically turns into the Iron Survivor match
the WWE has been doing in NXT now for a number of years,
which has really become, I think, a big hit,
and I've said before,
it's something that I would love to see adopted
one day on the main roster.
I think it could work.
It's just a fun match concept,
but it's almost like an Iron Man match, basically.
And in those 15 minutes,
you rack up as many pinfalls or submissions as you can.
And at the end of that phase,
at the end of that 15-minute period,
whoever has the most number of falls
will be declared the winner,
and that person will leave as the AW world champion.
So if you think about it, phase one is very much like an AW casino gauntlet match, and then phase two is like an Iron Man match or an Iron Survivor match. And they're kind of fusing the two together. So that's what that's what this clockwork carnage match basically is. I always prefer there to be a good one-on-one story or a good one-on-one feud. This to me sounds like they were trying to come up with something they could throw together at the last minute because there wasn't a lot of time between.
All Out and WrestleDream.
We just had All Out.
We're already talking about
wrestle dream, which is not this weekend.
It's already coming up next weekend.
And so this is what they've come up with.
It sounds like a cluster fuck.
It may end up being a cluster fuck.
It may end up being a great match.
I just don't know that, you know,
tossing eight guys in there and saying,
okay, you know, now you wrestle for the world championship.
I would prefer a more focused story, personally.
But who knows?
It may end up being a great match.
One other AW note here,
Switchblade J. White, and this sucks, but Switchblade Jay White, who has been out so long,
so many times with a number of different injuries at different points in his AW run, he is hurt again.
He is hurt again.
I don't know what the injury is, but he got hurt during his tailgate brawl match on the all-out pre-show.
And it doesn't sound like anything too serious that's going to keep him out for months and months,
but they are saying that he could be out of action for up to two months.
And I just don't know what to say at this point.
You know, I'm a Jay White fan.
I want to see him do well.
He should be an upper tier guy in this company.
But if you're Tony Khan, you know, you just get to a point where can you trust that his body is going to be able to hold up?
Or is this just a series of unfortunate coincidences and just bad luck where he just keeps getting banged up and he's got to miss time?
I don't know.
I don't remember this being an issue when he was in New Japan.
But then again, maybe all those battles in New Japan, this is the end result.
Maybe it just has that effect on your body.
I don't know.
But hopefully he can come back within the next couple of months
and stay healthy because I would like to see him do more than what he was doing before he got hurt again.
A new report from Fightful Select says next year's Royal Rumble, according to sources,
is believed to be taking place the weekend of February 6th.
That would be the same weekend as the AW Dynasty pay-per-view from Liverpool,
which is taking place that Sunday.
but it's also the weekend between the NFL League Championship Games and the Super Bowl,
which is how it was last year.
So one could argue this time it was AEW that infringed on WWE's weekend
and not the other way around for a change.
Meanwhile, John Pollock and Brandon Thurston of Post Wrestling are reporting that WWE has
WrestleMania 43 listed internally for April 10th and 11th, 2007.
You know, it's October and we still have no dates.
for WrestleMania, but now it looks like we finally do.
And if you're Tony Kahn, it's time to make your move.
It's time to start making some preliminary plans.
John Sina, he confirmed that the John Sina classic is slated to take place in December,
which I figured it was, right?
One year after his retirement match, all we need now is a date.
They've got Russell Paloza in Perth, Australia.
That's on December 12th.
So I don't know if they would incorporate it into wrestle Palooza.
I don't know if they would do something on that same date, but do it at night.
Because again, that show in Perth, based on past PLEs they've done in Perth,
would be airing East Coast time here at like 5.30 in the morning, 630 in the morning.
So they could technically do a Perth show that morning and then come back with some kind of John Cena special that night.
So I don't know what they're going to do.
But Sina was a guest on Busted Open Radio yesterday.
and he addressed fan criticism around Gunther's current creative direction on TV.
Now, Gunther, of course, is the man that was handpicked to be the one to send John Cena off into the sunset last year.
And there was a lot of, you know, debate and a lot of discourse around the match and the finish of the match and how Sina tapped out, which was fucking lame.
And I will stand by that.
So he was asked about Gunther's current direction on TV now.
and he does not necessarily disagree with fans who feel like he's been cooled off.
He said, I know there's sentiment out there that like, man, they're wasting Gunther.
Maybe currently they are.
But I don't see the view from the penthouse.
I'm not in those meetings where they're just looking at a whiteboard connecting the dots.
Maybe they're just cooling him off.
Maybe they're putting him away from TV.
I don't know.
What I'm going to do is I'm not going to challenge the opinion of, hey, I'm not going to
give this for this guy and you're going to forget him. This is the work that I need to do for today
and we're going to make him look the best we can and I'm going to give him as much steam as I can.
And what you do with it afterwards, that ain't my call. Which is a very nice political,
corporate way of saying, you know what, you're probably right. I would not have imagined that
nine months later, 10 months later after you had this guy send me off into the sunset and then
he did the same thing at the Royal Rumble to AJ Stiles, that this is what he would be doing.
And I am of the opinion that I think absolutely he has been cooled off, intentional or otherwise.
He does not feel as special as he did at the beginning of the year.
That is just 100 per.
That's just objectively true.
And if you could disagree with it, but you would be wrong.
So yes, he has been cooled off.
He does not feel as special.
anymore. But I also see it from the other side of the coin, which is, okay, how do you keep
somebody like that strong enough that people are satisfied, right? You would think that they
would put the championship on him, right? But you can't just put the championship on him. We've seen
this before, you know, he was intercontinental champion for 666 days. He was world heavyweight
champion. By and large, since he was called up to the main roster, he has been protected,
largely protected and booked very strong,
as compared to a lot of other people,
he would kill to have the kind of Porsche that Gunther's hat.
But if you just put the belt on the guy
and he just sits atop the mountain
and he dominates and nobody can beat him,
he's this unbeatable final boss,
it gets fucking boring after a while.
And so you don't want to just have Gunther
as champion at the top of the car.
Look at what they're doing right now on Smackdown.
The title scene on Smackdown right now
was more interesting than it's been in years.
And thank God they took the belt off Cody Rhodes,
because that was getting boring too.
But you got Cody and you got Randy Orton,
and you got Kevin Owens,
and you got CM Punk,
even fucking Johnny Gargano.
And Gunther and Finn Ballard,
they're all gunning for the WWE title,
which is currently held by Sammy Zane.
Sammy Zane has a bullseye on his back.
Everybody wants a piece of him,
and everybody is coming for that championship.
So it is as interesting and as, I guess, exciting, you would say, as it has been at the top of the card on Smackdown in a very long time.
Whereas if you just put the belt on Gunther and had him beating everybody that they put in front of him, that's going to get very boring.
And I guarantee you if that would have been the position they put him in, let's say around WrestleMania time.
And now here we are in October and he's still the champion.
You would have a lot of people who would be complaining about how boring it is at the top of the
card on Smackdown.
So I like what they're doing with the title right now, but the problem is if he's not
going to be, you know, holding the championship, he could be contending for it, but he's
not winning it.
So then what else would you have him doing?
I mean, look at Obafemi right now on Raw.
Obafemi is going to be the guy.
Obafemi is being built up, in my opinion, no doubt, for a world championship match,
probably against Roman Reins, at WrestleMania next year.
So they had him beat Brock Lesner.
This is actually a very good analogy, because,
Gunther is the guy who retired John Sina and AJ Stiles.
Obafemi now has the title of being the man to conquer the beast and retire Brock Lesner.
Okay, great.
Well, there's a lot of time left yet between now and WrestleMania, so what do you do with this guy?
It's almost just not believable to put him in there against almost anybody else on that show.
What are you going to do?
You're going to have him go after Chad Gable and the Intercontinental title?
Are you fucking kidding me?
No, they have him feuding with the vision.
he's working with brahm breaker.
He's going to be wrestling Bronson Reed this weekend.
That's a good place for him to be.
He also never wrestles on Raw.
You'll notice Obafemi comes to Raw every week and he's all dressed up and everything,
but it's like, why is he there?
He never wrestles because he's in that special category of,
okay, we don't want to overexpose this guy.
But we have to be very careful with what we do with him.
We have to give him something to do before we can get him to, you know,
the ultimate destination, which is probably a Royal
Rumble win, and then ultimately the main event of WrestleMania.
With Gunther, I think it's a similar thing where you got to just come up with stuff for him
to do if he's not going to be, you know, world champion.
I don't know that working something with Danhausen is necessarily what he should be doing,
but maybe it allows him to end up showing a different side of himself.
Maybe they do something with the two of them and then in a few months we look back and go,
man, you know, this is something that has no business working as well as it's been working,
but man, it's working and it's entertaining. And I'm just trying to be optimistic here.
I'm just saying there's at least the chance, there's at least the possibility of that happening.
But realistically, should he be working with Danhausen? No. No. But I don't necessarily have a
better answer for what he should be doing right now, short of being the WWE champion,
which there's just no, there's no spot for that. There's no room for that right now.
No. It's not always the easiest thing in the world if you put your creative hat on.
If you're on that team trying to come up with the best answer, there isn't necessarily an obvious answer all the time.
You've just got to come up with a way to use this guy that hopefully doesn't squander whatever he got out of being the guy to beat John Cena and AJ Styles.
You don't want to waste that. And some people think they already have.
It doesn't sound like John Cena is necessarily disagreeing with those people.
Now, Money in the Bank is taking place this Saturday in New Orleans.
This is the latest on the calendar that a Money in the Bank show has ever been held.
It's also the make good for the New Orleans WrestleMania that they never got.
They got screwed out of WrestleMania this year.
Remember when the Rock went on Smackdown and announced that
WrestleMania is coming back to the Big Easy in 2026?
But then they got dollar signs.
in their eyes when they realize they can make more money by going back to Las Vegas.
And they said, psych!
So now they're getting money in the bank.
And we have a, what looks to be, a complete five-match card.
They are building to another match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, but I would imagine
if it was happening this Saturday, it would have been announced last week, and it wasn't.
So we'll assume that it is not taking place at money in the bank.
But let's go through this card here, and I'll incorporate some thoughts from Raw last night.
because Raw last night was definitely a step down from last Monday
and outside of just building up some stuff for the PLE this weekend.
Not a whole lot to really go over and not a whole lot to dive into
when it comes to Monday Night Raw.
But we have the women's money in the bank ladder match.
The field is set.
It is J.C. Jane, Lash Legend, Roxanne, Roxanne Perez,
Lola Weiss, Sol Ruka, and Tiffany Stratton, who qualifies.
She was the last to qualify on Smackdown this past Friday.
and I get it.
You know, she's a former women's world champion.
She's won money in the bank before.
She is very popular.
And so they wanted her in that match.
I'm just hoping we are not looking at a second money in the bank win for Tiffany Stratton
because if she were to win the briefcase,
I can envision a scenario because she's been very, very friendly
with Chelsea Green the last several months.
And Chelsea Green happens to be the reigning WWE women's champion.
What I don't want to see is a scenario where Tiffany wins the briefcase.
again and then ends up stabbing Chelsea in the back and cashing in on her to win the championship
because we've already seen this story before. Tiffany Stratton has won the briefcase. Tiffany
Stratton was very friendly with Naya Jacks, who was the champion at that time, and she did just
that. She attacked her. She cashed in on her. I don't want to see the same story play itself out again.
And frankly, I would rather somebody win the briefcase this year who was never held it before.
And my early prediction, because everyone I was always asking, you know, like at the end of the year,
who do you think is going to win money at the bank next year?
Who do you think is going to win King of the Ring next year and Queen of the Ring?
And I'm like, dude, we're like six months out, dude.
We're nine months out.
But my early prediction that I made in December was Roxanne Perez.
And I'm going to stick with that.
I'm going, and she did qualify, so she is in there.
I didn't know she was even going to qualify for this.
Roxanne Perez is my pick to win money in the bank.
And I do think looking at all six women who were in there.
You know, Lola Weiss just debuted on Monday Night Raw.
Sol Ruka, she's been there now for a little while.
Soul's a possibility.
Lash Legend, right?
She's been on the main roster since the end of last year.
They called her up.
I want to say it was a little before Survivor Series.
I don't really have any interest in seeing her win it.
J.C. Jane is the current women's United States champion.
I don't think she needs it.
And then you have Roxanne Perez, who has been an
afterthought for most of this year when it comes to the Judgment Day. So I've been about Liv
Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and J.D. McDonough and his big Funko pop head. And Dominic Mysterio
was the AAA mega champion for most of this year. And Roxanne is just sort of there. And I don't
think she's fully appreciated for what she brings to the table. She's very good. But she's been on
the back burner. If anybody stands to benefit the most from a win here, it is Roxanne Perez. This
could be her coming out party here.
And it can tie into something that happens later in the show, which I'll get into.
So Roxanne is my pick to win this.
We have Obafemi, who I just talked about, going one-on-one with Bronson-Reed.
It was in the best shape of his life when he came back from this injury.
He slimmed down.
I've always been a Bronson-Reed fan.
It was unfortunate when he came off the top of the cage in that one war games match and shattered
his foot and he missed months and months and months of action.
And then earlier this year, he got hurt again.
He tore his bicep.
I want to say it was a qualifying match for the elimination chamber.
And so again, he was out for whatever it was, six months, seven months.
Came back, great shape.
And now he goes one-on-one with the guy who is very clearly being positioned for the top
spot in 2007.
Which doesn't mean that Bronson Reed can't be in a top spot himself.
Everyone talks about Braun Breaker.
All right. Obafemi and Braun Breaker.
They're the future of WWE.
And they probably are.
Oba for sure is.
Nobody ever talks about Bronson Reed in that way.
And I guess he probably is a little bit older
and he's had some big injuries.
But still, Bronson Reed should be in that conversation.
When you're talking about potential future world champions
and world title contenders,
don't leave his name out of that conversation.
What I would like to see here is that Bronson Reed win.
I know it almost sounds sacrilegious to some people.
You're going to beat Obafemi.
Yeah.
Yeah, I am.
But I don't think he does it by himself.
I don't think he does it clean.
I'm not advocating for that, nor do I think they would do that.
But I don't think there's any harm in him winning this match and extending it out to a rematch
at some point.
I'm going to say Bronson Reed wins this.
And I'm going to throw this out there and maybe this is just kind of at a left field.
I watched that World's Collide show, the WWE taped from the Allstate Arena
last weekend. They didn't drop it on YouTube until Wednesday.
But I watched it, and it was fine. It was a good show. It was like a glorified house show.
It's basically what it was. But there was some good action on there. But in the main event,
they had CM Punk, Ray Mysterio, and El Grande Americano against J.D. McDonough, Dominic
Mysterio, and Omas, who is aligned with them, you know, with Dom and AAA. They basically sent
omas to Japan for a while they brought him back they stuck him in triple a it's like anything but
the main roster but they shot a little angle there at the end of the show where obafemi came out
and he had a face to chest confrontation with omas that resulted in him clotheslining omas out of the
ring and omas was not happy about this and he had to be held back and restrained and that's how
they went off the air and you could look at it and go yeah it was just it was like you said it's like a
house show. It was like one isolated
show for the live crowd. True.
But I'm going
to say that as a result of what happened
on that show, and
because it almost seems too obvious
to say, well, the vision will interfere
because Bronson Reed's part of the vision.
Well, yeah, the vision might try to interfere, but I'm
going to say, Omas, plays a role
in this match and helps Bronson
Reed beat Obafemi.
For one very specific reason.
And I'm not even saying that this is something, oh, man,
I'm dying to see this. But,
we have crown jewel coming up in Saudi.
And I could see them looking at this and going,
you know what would be a great attraction for that Saudi show next month?
Obafemi against Omas, the Battle of the Giants.
Obafemi is like dwarfed by this man.
What a visual it is.
And what a big feather in his cap if he goes in there and he beats this guy who's so much bigger than him.
It's almost like the freak show attraction on that show.
And we'll do that in Saudi.
that's where I could see this going.
And then you have Obabit, Omas,
and then he circles back around to the vision,
and you just kind of pick up with things at that point.
So that's my prediction.
Maybe I'm crazy, but that's my prediction.
Then we have the Women's World Championship,
and this was resolved, well, not really resolved,
but we had a match on Raw last night.
It was a number one contenders match
between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan,
the winner of which would go on to this show
to challenge Stephanie Vakere for the women's world title.
as soon as they announced that number one contenders match last week.
I don't know, like if you are a wrestling fan,
if you have watched this show for any even short period of time,
I don't know that you can watch that and not think
that this wasn't heading to a triple threat match on this show.
The only question was, okay,
how are they going to do this finish in a way
that gets them to a triple threat match
where they both challenged for the championship?
And the answer to that is Stephanie came out during their match last night.
There was a whole bunch of just interference from the judgment day,
and Stephanie came out to try to counteract that.
One thing led to another.
Becky Lynch collided inadvertently with Stephanie,
who was already in a shouting match with Liv Morgan.
She doesn't like either one of these women.
Stephanie lost her cool.
She got in the ring.
She attacked them both.
And the referee called for the bell.
And then it was Stephanie who told Adam Pierce,
make it a triple threat match.
And so that is what it is.
She's defending her championship against Becky Lynch
and Liv Morgan.
Now, where this ties into the women's money
in the bank ladder matches in this way.
This is the scenario I've sketched out here.
I think Roxanne Perez comes out
during this match to
you see her give Liv the assist.
Although they want you to think, oh shit, she's got the briefcase.
She's going to cash in.
That's what they want you to think.
And instead, Liv Morgan wins back
the women's world championship.
She wins the match and gets her
belt back and she's so happy and she's celebrating with Roxanne, but then Roxanne smashes her right in the
fucking head with the briefcase. And then cashes in and she wins the championship from Liv Morgan.
No longer in the shadows. Now she is front and center. She is the new women's world champion.
And then however the Judgment Day drama plays out, you kind of go from there. That's what makes for good
television. That's what I would like to see. I would like, and I know Stephanie just won the belt back.
She got that big win in her home country, but that's the whole point. She got her big win in her home
country. So she loses the belt now, and she could always get it back at some point. I mean,
who cares? This is what I'm hoping to see play out. Now, for this to play out, the latter match has
to come first in the show, and then Roxanne has to win. If those two things happen, though,
I'll feel a lot more confident in my prediction, but I think the person who
leaves New Orleans with that belt on Saturday is going to be Roxanne Perez.
Then we have the men's money in the bank ladder match.
Got one for the women, you've got to have one for the men.
We have CM Punk, who knows a thing or two about winning these matches because he's won two of
them before at WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens, who just qualified on Friday, Braun Breaker, Penta, Trick Williams, and
Javon Evans, the youngest man ever in Money in the Bank.
And if he were to win, he would be the youngest winner ever of money in the bank.
So Kevin Owens, he qualified for this match on Smackdown this past Friday.
And I'm looking at these Money in the Bank matches.
And it didn't really hit me until the other day.
We have not had a real baby-faced money-in-the-bank winner, male or female, since Liv Morgan won in 2022.
I think that might have been the, I think it was the same night, right, that she cashed in
Rhonda Rousey, if I remember correctly. That's four years ago. Now, EO Sky won the latter
match in 2023, and EO's always been popular. I remember the fans just, they popped huge when
she won, but she was part of a heel faction. So I still considered her a heel, even if the fans
didn't. So I'm not really, you know, counting that. But for the men's match, you have to go all the
way back to Big E in 2021 when he won the briefcase. Ever since then, it's been all heels. It's
like they want to make you feel like shit at the end of these matches.
Look how many times L.A. Knight had his fingertips on the briefcase,
and everybody was so excited.
And then he literally gets knocked off the ladder.
And he can't, you know, he can't win.
He just can't win the big ones.
So I think it's time that we have a happy moment for the fans.
I think it's time that we have a baby face go over in this match.
And I look at the lineup here and Javon Evans is sort of, he's the wild card.
I'm not, I'm giving Javon Evans a non-zero chance of,
winning. Not a huge chance, but a non-zero chance. Trick Williams, I gave a zero chance of winning.
It's like Jaycee in the women's match. He's got the U.S. title. He doesn't need to win the briefcase.
Penta, brawn breaker, Kevin Owens. Those are really your three choices here. CM Punk doesn't need the
fucking briefcase. Plus, he's already won this twice before. Now, I understand why they want him in the
match. Of course. If you want CM Punk, you want to book him on the show, you want to sell tickets.
sure, I would once see M Punk on the show.
So I understand him being in the match.
Him winning the match, not necessary, unacceptable.
Owens, Breaker, Penta.
I've gone back and forth these last few weeks.
Penta was kind of my favorite.
I was leaning towards him, but I'm going with Kevin Owens.
Kevin Owens is very much like L.A. Knight.
You have a lot of fans of theirs out there who are desperate,
desperate to see them win a world championship.
Kevin Owens had the universal title, but dude, that was a decade ago.
That was a lifetime ago.
Kevin Owens hasn't won anything since then.
And every single time he goes in there and wrestles for the WWE Championship, about 11 or 12 times now, he loses.
He's undefeated, but in the wrong direction.
And so people are waiting for him.
When is he going to get his moment?
Sammy Zane got his.
When is Kevin Owen going to get his moment?
And it feels like the timing couldn't be better, right?
Because you have Sammy Zane of all people as the WWE champion.
How appropriate would it be of all people to cash in on Sammy Zane and win that title?
That it would be Kevin Owens, the man that he has been linked to his entire career.
It just feels like the timing will never be better than it is right now for Kevin Owens to go in there and win money in the bank.
And I'm not saying he cashes in on Saturday.
I don't think that happens.
but I'm going with Kevin Owens to win this match.
I would like to see him win.
I think he has a...
Again, it's between him, Breaker, and Penta.
He's got a good chance.
But he's my pick to win this.
And then we have the main event,
or what I presume will be the main event.
Roman Raines defending the world heavyweight championship
against another guy who just cannot win the big one.
And there's a lot of people hoping that's going to change
this weekend that I'm telling you don't get your hopes up.
But he's defending his title against L.A. night.
Last time we saw Roman defending a title against L.A. Knight, you'd have to go all the way back to Crown Jewel three years ago.
And it didn't work out too well that night for L.A. Knight either.
Now, keep in mind, speaking of Crown Jewel, that is coming up in Saudi next month, and they have the whole gimmick where it's champion versus champion.
So if you are of the opinion that L.A. Knight is going to win the world title this weekend, then you would be looking at L.A. Knight, probably defending, or not defending, but L.A. night going up.
up against Sammy Zane as things would stand. It would be LA night and Sammy Zane in Riyadh next month,
which is just, it's a hard sell. It's hard for me to see them doing that. The wild card here is the
money in the bank briefcase. And depending on who wins the briefcase and who they cash in on and when,
who knows who the champions are going to be going into that show on November 7th, right? We don't know for
sure. I don't see them doing L.A. Knight against Sammy Zane, though. I just, I don't see that. I don't see that.
I don't see that happening.
Now look, I am an LA night fan.
I would like very much to see him get his moment.
Somehow, he is still super over.
He has been able to maintain his popularity now for the last four years,
despite being fucked over at every opportunity
when it comes to him winning the world title or winning the briefcase.
It just never works at.
They yank it away from him at the very last minute.
So I would imagine it's very hard to be an L.A. night fan.
This really feels like an.
an hour and ever moment. Even in some of the promos that he's cut on TV, he himself has said,
they've incorporated it into his promos where he says a lot of people probably think I'm not
going to win. And you know what? This is probably it for me. This feels like it may be my last
opportunity. And that may end up being a shoot. You know, it may well be. It may well be his last
chance. And I would like to see him pull it off. My prediction is that it doesn't happen.
I've been jaded about this because I've been given no reason to believe that all of a sudden something is going to change.
I think Roman Raines is going to walk in as the champion.
I think Roman Raines is going to walk out as the champion.
That being said, I will throw something out there.
We see this 9-4-6 story playing out on Raw over the last several weeks.
They actually made the announcement on Raw last night.
They already announced the main event for next week.
It's going to be 9-4-6, which is Roy.
Case, Bronco Neima, and Lucian Price, against the Uso's, and Solo Sacoa, who was abducted
by 9-4-6, a couple of weeks ago.
And nobody was really saying anything about him.
Like last week, nobody seemed to give a shit.
And then on Rawl last night, Roman Raines was there.
He showed up to work, and he's talking to the Uso's, and he didn't really show a whole lot,
a whole lot of concern about Jacob Fatu being run over by a fucking car the week before.
But then he was like, you know, I'm going to take care of this 9-4-6 stuff.
And he talked to Adam Pierce and the match was made.
And the Uso's were like, oh, yeah, it's going to be us in the OTC against 9-4-6.
And I'm like, and even Roman was like, yeah, no, it ain't going to be.
And I'm thinking, like, do you honestly believe that Roman Raines is going to wrestle twice on Raw in less than a month?
You have to be on fucking drugs if you believe that.
Instead, he looks over and says it's going to be that guy.
and the camera pans over and it's Solo Sacoa and he's just back like nothing happened.
He's in his threads and he's got his shades on.
He didn't say anything.
They literally like four seconds later, five seconds later, they just cut to the next segment.
But it surprised me because I figured if Solo was coming back, he would be coming back at money in the bank.
You know, they would save his return for the PLE and in the main event.
Maybe he would show up and either help L.A. night or turn against L.A. night.
But, you know, whatever they were going to do.
do with him. They would save it for the
big show. And instead, he was just
standing right there. And they've already
announced this match in advance. I
had this idea. I don't think what they
announced last night really changes
the calculus too much. I thought maybe they
would have 9-4-6 take out the Uso's.
So then Roman would be going
into this show with no allies, right?
The Uso's are taken out. Jacob is
taken out. And they didn't do that.
They didn't take out the Uso's.
What I would like to see
and I know L.A. Night is very popular, but I really think this would be a cool thing for them to do.
Is the big swerve here, you're going to have one, is that it's L.A. Knight revealed as a member of or the leader of 946,
which I know on the surface doesn't really make a lot of sense. You know, these guys are from the street.
L.A. Knight is, I mean, he's not really from the street, although that would be kind of funny to see him acting and pretending.
like he is.
But I just think, you know, he's been all buddy-buddy with Solo Sacoa, who he wanted nothing to
do with a few months ago. He didn't trust him. He hates the bloodline. He hates fucking Roman
Rains. And all of a sudden, he kind of, you know, Solo won over his trust. And they've been
like bosom buddies ever since SummerSlam. And then Solo gets abducted and all this stuff happens.
And night is all, you know, acting all upset, you know, what's going on here with this
9-4-6 nonsense. But this man hates the bullsup.
bloodline. The bloodline has made his life a living hell now for three years. The bloodline is
responsible for him not being the world heavyweight champion. I mean, I feel like that's all this
guy's been doing basically for the last three years is either feuding with the vision or feuding
with the bloodline and getting screwed over each and every time. So it would make total sense in
my mind for him to finally say enough is enough. He's acknowledging on TV. This may be it for me.
This may be my last shot. He's going to do whatever it takes.
to get the W on Saturday.
And we come to find out that he's part of this.
Or maybe he's behind this.
This whole 9-4-6 thing, this whole fucking time.
And he is sort of the puppet master pulling the strings and paying out the money or however
they want to explain it and he wins the world heavyweight championship.
And turns again solo Sacoa in the process because I think it would be crazy to turn solo
heel again. He was getting over as a baby face. I wouldn't want to do anything to ruin that.
But as over as L.A. Knight is as a baby face, he's just, he's better as a heel. He's a natural
heel. If you saw him when, like in the NXT days and all that, the guy is a natural heel.
And he's been a baby face now for several years. If anybody was going to turn, it should be
him. And I think he would kill it in that role. And him having a whole group behind him. And now you
kind of march into war games and you've got
946 with L.A. Knight against
the bloodline and solo is part of that.
He links back up with the family to, you know,
get revenge. You got to figure
out where all the pieces are going to go here
and who fits where, if you're
going to do five on five. You know,
is Naomi going to come back soon as part of the
bloodline to counteract Jada Parker?
Who just got called up as part of 946.
So, like, creatively,
you got to figure out where everybody fits into this.
Perfect world, though. That's
what I would like to see. That's the big
swerve that you would go off the air with at Money in the Bank on Saturday to shock everybody
and get them to tune into Raw next Monday like what the hell just happened here? I need an explanation.
I want to hear that first L.A. Knight promo now coming out of money in the bank. Do they have it in
them to do that? Is L.A. Knight that important enough to them to put the title on him, take it away from
their golden boy, and put him in a position to be leading the top heel faction on that show? Do they see him
in that light. I'm just, I'm still not convinced of that.
You know, my fear is that he's just another, another guy passing in the night, and Roman will,
you know, notch another victory, and they'll move on to the bloodline 946 stuff without LA night.
And I don't know that he fits into any of this at all, but I hope I'm wrong about that.
Because I think him being kind of the mastermind behind this could lead to a lot of really
fun television.
But that's your money in the bank lineup.
again, that's coming up this Saturday.
Brandon Thurston and John Pollock of Post Wrestling,
they broke the news last Tuesday,
so I didn't get a chance to talk about this
here on the uncrowned wrestling show,
but NXT star, now former NXT star,
I should correct myself,
Keanu Carver, real name Kevin Robertson,
he is under an order of protection
to stay away from and not contact,
another NXT talent who filed a petition against him.
That NXT Talent filed the petition in a Florida court earlier in September, alleging that Robertson stalked and harassed them.
Now, they did not name the NXT talent in their original report, although TMZ has since published that person's name, which I won't mention here because I just don't really think it's relevant right now.
Maybe it will be at some point.
But the petition alleges that she and Robertson dated and the relationship recently ended.
In the days that followed the breakup, Robertson allegedly made a series of unwanted visits to her home
and made unwanted calls to her as many as 44 times in a single day.
Obsessed much?
The 49-page filing includes screenshots showing calls to her and stills from a security camera outside her home
that show Robertson's repeated unwelcome visits.
The protection order is a civil matter, although stalking is a criminal offense under Florida law.
Post wrestling could not confirm whether any charges will be filed.
The petition was filed against him on September 14th.
A judge granted the temporary order of protection that same day,
and after a hearing on September 22nd,
the court extended the order through the date of another hearing
that is set for October 20th.
Court records show that Robertson asked for a continuance
that he could obtain counsel.
The order requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away from her
and prohibits him from having any contact with her.
And the petition alleges that Robertson's conduct led her to call police on September 13th
after he again came to her home.
He refused to leave and made threats to harm himself.
But he left before police arrived.
She asked the court for the order of protection the very next day.
Robertson is not wrestled on NXT television since September 8th.
His most recent match was on September 12th.
That was at a NXT live event.
the day before the incident that involved the call to police.
She alleges that while they were dating,
Robertson's behavior was abusive and threatening.
Before they broke up, she claims Robertson, quote, spat on me,
physically restrained me from leaving his house.
He is threatened to kill me as well as my cats.
He has woken me up by plugging my nose in my sleep.
He has grabbed me by the throat multiple times
and squeezed hard while threatening to kill me.
The petition details multiple incidents of unwanted visits and calls
from their after their breakup.
She says Robertson came to her home on September 4th at 7 o'clock in the morning,
intoxicated and under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
A few days later, he again returned when she was not present and allegedly waited at the door.
When he found her in her car, she tried to put the vehicle in reverse to drive away.
He allegedly grabbed the vehicle, said he needed help, and quote, said he had drugs on him,
and he saw cops, and his phone was 1% and he had no way to get.
home. The petition claims that Robertson returned to her home later in the night, knocked on the door,
and circled the residents all night long, finally leaving around 8 o'clock in the morning.
And it goes on and on with some other alleged incidents that took place. This is the whole reason
that she had to install a ring security camera. And there were neighbors, you know, who were aware
of this and who saw some of this. And apparently a lot of it's on video. So it's not, you know,
it's not just a situation where it's her word against his, although I don't know what his word is.
I don't know if he's denying any of this.
But it's pretty crazy stuff, especially because apparently he called her at one point 44 times over a period of two hours.
So, yeah, that's not bat shit crazy or anything.
TMZ does have, oh, the TMZ story has a link to a PDF with all of the text messages between them if you care to read it.
if this all sounds like a great way to tank your career,
you win the grand prize because the news broke yesterday per PW Insider
that Keanu Carver is gone from WWE.
Brian Alvarez says he was actually released last week.
So he's not just done, he's done done.
And he initially in the beginning of all this, when this first broke,
he took to his ex account, which is now no longer accessible.
And he tweeted, y'all gone sound dumb as shit in a month.
And then he tweeted again, fake-ass virtue signaling MFs, everything done in a dark come to light.
Okay.
He then deleted those tweets.
He replaced it with one that simply said, keep God first.
Of course he did.
This is the Odyssey Jones situation all over again from two years ago.
Odyssey Jones was in developmental for quite some time,
ultimately got called up to the main roster,
and this is after Biggie had suffered his neck injury,
they put him with the New Day,
and it looked like he was going to be the newest addition
to the New Day trio,
and they were going to use Kofi and Creed
or Xavier Woods to try to help get this guy over.
And it seemed like he had a lot of charisma,
and there was a lot of potential there.
He maybe made one or two,
appearances with them on TV.
And then he was accused of domestic abuse by his partner or former partner.
And it cost him his job with WWE.
It's like these people just can't help themselves.
They torpedo their own careers.
And he wrestles, still wrestles.
He wrestles mostly for all Japan these days.
Maybe he needs a tag team partner.
Carver sounds like he'd fit right in there.
Perp.W insider, Raja Jackson, the son of
MMA legend Quentin Rampage Jackson was released from jail by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department last Tuesday.
He had been sentenced to serve 90 days in jail back in July as part of his plea agreement with prosecutors over an August 2025 incident at a Knox Pro Wrestling show out in California that saw Jackson enter the ring and beat independent wrestler Psycho Stu, real name Stuart Smith, nearly to death.
He beat that man into unconsciousness.
And he was finally arrested in September of last year.
Jackson pleaded no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury
and pled guilty to personal infliction of great bodily injury and engaging in violent conduct.
And as part of the plea deal, he was also required to pay psychos to restitution in the amount of about $81,000
and also has to serve two years probation.
And the video footage was all over social media at the time.
And what happened just to recap real quick, there was an incident before the show.
Basically, Raja Jackson was invited by another wrestler to be a guest at this independent show.
Knox Pro Wrestling was a promo.
I mean, it still exists.
But at the time, I think Rikishi either owned it or Rikishi had an ownership stake in it.
They had received the WWE ID designation.
So they were, you know, a known promotion out there.
there on the West Coast. And Raja was invited there as a guest, evidently not a wrestling fan,
didn't know a whole lot about wrestling and wasn't really a fan of it. But there's footage,
because he was streaming on kick. I guess he was one of these IRL streamers where they stream all day,
everything that happens in their lives, they're eating breakfast, they're taking a shit,
everything is streaming because everybody needs to see everything these days. But there was footage
that showed him
and they were out in the parking lot out back
with some of the other wrestlers before the show
and Psycho Stu
I guess didn't know who this guy was
or maybe he thought he was a worker
and he went over and he crushed
a beer can against
Rajah's head
and the way that Rajah responded
he responded not as if it was
a work or like ha ha
or anything like that he got up at his face
he was very upset
and Psycho Stu was wondering
you're not going to sell that shit because he didn't know.
And then when he found out, he was smartened up.
It's on video.
You know, Stu went up to him and apologized.
And it seemed like everything was smoothed over, you know, and all was okay.
And I think they shook hands.
And anyway, during the event later that night, Raja is sitting in the front row, still streaming on kick.
And talking about how he was going to go and he was going to just beat the shit out of this guy.
And the people in his live chat were just egging him on and egging him on.
What are you going to do?
You can't let that go unpunished.
What are you going to do to that guy?
And they got him all riled up.
There was supposed to be an angle, though, where he got into the ring to do something.
And he's looking at the live chat.
And again, he's getting all riled up by this.
And he did end up getting in the ring.
But when he got in the ring, he threw Psychos through hard, down to the mat.
and then he began raining blows down upon him,
like legitimate blows to the face and to the head.
And Psycho Stu was out cold,
and he just kept punching him and punching him.
Close to two dozen punches he threw
before he finally got pulled off by some of the other wrestlers.
And Psycho Stu was believed to be unconscious
when he was taken to the hospital.
And I remember that night when this all went down,
there was a real fear that he might die.
That's how bad this was.
And then Stu later on announced that he was retiring from the ranch.
Apparently Stu is a like a military veteran who was kind of a weekend warrior when it came to, you know, independent wrestling and had some PTSD.
And I guess wrestling was sort of his therapy in a way.
But he had to retire from wrestling due to his injuries.
When the news first broke of that plea agreement, it was, I just shook my head because if you watch the video, it's all on video.
If you watch the video, it's disgusting.
It's scary.
and it's disgusting, and it didn't seem like the punishment really fit the crime as far as what he did that night.
But he was a first-time offender, and I guess it would have been difficult for them to prosecute him any harsher than they did,
and so this is what ended up happening.
And you would hope that he learned his lesson from this, and nothing like this will ever happen again.
But if all it takes is a bunch of idiots in your live chat to get you so riled up that you almost beat someone to death,
That's not good.
You've got some anger issues that need to be addressed.
And hopefully that will happen with him, and we won't have to hear about something like this happening ever again because it's one of the most disgusting things at a wrestling show that I've ever seen.
Or at least that's been captured on video.
Like, it was horrible.
Let's get to your questions here.
I got some email questions from you guys.
A little bit of unread on uncrowned.
You can email me, the solomonster at gmail.com.
I could also tweet me on X

if you have a question.
Malik from Queens, New York.
Now that Wardlow has returned to AEW,
Tony Kahn has one last chance to crown him
AEW world champion while the fans still care.
I say don't waste any time.
Fast track him to the belt.
Book him in squash matches and then in November
start putting him in programs against guys
like Andrade, Swerve, and Hangman.
by March, he could be the one to beat Will Osprey for the belt.
And MJF can interfere on Wardlow's behalf, possibly reuniting them.
Yeah, I appreciate your optimism for Wardlow, but if I'm Tony Khan, that's the last thing I'm doing.
It's kind of like what I talked about earlier with Jay White, where Jay White is supremely talented,
and I wish he was, you know, doing more in AEW.
But if you're Tony Khan, and you have somebody who has been injured multiple times,
your instinct is not boy we got to rush him into the world title picture like that's the last thing
that you would do because you need to be able to trust that that person is going to be able to stay
healthy long enough for you to even consider putting them in that position wardlo showed up on
dynamite on wednesday night it was great to see him but he had been out for like 930 days
and he showed up with two giant knee braces so and it's not just knee injuries i think that he's
dealt with. So he's been hurt multiple times. He's missed so much time and you want to fast track him
to the world title. I think that's a mistake. And I don't think Tony Khan is thinking the same way
that you're thinking. And I wouldn't be either. This is going to require a period of time to really
see if he can stay healthy. If he is still over with the audience, he's a heel right now. I mean,
they have him in the Don Callis family. He's member number 27 of the Don Callis family. I think
that you could absolutely build him back up into something that people care about,
you know, and people want to see him go after the world title at some point. You don't rush
into that, though. This guy has to show, he has to demonstrate that whether it's just bad luck
or, again, his body just betraying him, whatever the case may be, you have to demonstrate
that you're, you know, reliable enough that you're not going to have to miss more time. Because
imagine he fast tracks a Wardlob push and then in the next two months he gets hurt again. And
you're fucked. You know, you don't want to be in that position. You have enough people at the top
of the card right now anyway where Wardlow doesn't have to be rushed into anything. That's the thing
about the AEW roster. There's so much depth that they have there on top. I would take my time
with this guy and really try to build him back up, number one, and number two, just see how he does.
That was his first match. I wouldn't be rushing him into anything. And then you mentioned MJF.
why would MJF want to
reunite with Wardlow
if Wardlow you're saying is the one going after
the World Championship
MJF wants the world title
he doesn't want Wardloe to have the world title
he wants the world title now maybe if he wants
Wardlow back as his muscle
which then begs the question why would
Wardlow after the way he was treated want to go back
to working with MJF
that at least would make more sense
if they put their issues aside and MJF
was like you know what Wardlow
he's got my back
he's back in the fold, he's back home
because MJF wants someone to
you know just kind of be his heavy.
I can buy into that a lot more.
But yeah, I wouldn't be rushing a ward low
into anything at this point. I think that would be a big mistake.
Katie from Staten Island sent this in.
I recently rewatched the 2020 Money in the Bank from Titan Tower.
And while there was some silly stuff,
I appreciate them trying something different during COVID.
Do you think of money in the bank match like this can be done again?
I know it was a special circumstance,
but a concept like this to freshen up the match,
I think would add more excitement,
and of course it would end in a ring with the latter.
But I think it would be great if it started like a rat race
outside the arena, stadium building,
or wherever to be an actual chase.
Yeah, I mean, a rat race element to it, I think, could be a lot of fun.
You don't want to make it too silly.
But yeah, I could see that being entertaining.
I mean, doing another, you know, Money in the Bank match,
like at Titan Tower or something.
Again, that was a, like you said, it was a special circumstance.
It was a cinematic match.
And so they're not going to do that again.
You want to have something in front of a live crowd.
So even in a situation like this, yeah, it could start as a rat race, but I don't know
how much they would even really do outside the ring because if you got a building full
of 14,000 people who pay tickets, you know, or paid for their tickets to come see money
in the bank and then half the match is a rat race in the back, like, I don't think people
are going to be very happy about that.
So I think the likelihood of it is probably slim.
But if they want to introduce some kind of element like that into it one year,
I mean, I don't see the harm in it.
I think anything that you can do to kind of freshen things up a little bit,
be a little more creative with it, because it's tough.
You know, you basically more or less see the same match every year.
It's hard in situations like that to be creative when there's really only so much that you can do.
You got a ladder match with six people.
They're all climbing ladders to reach up for a briefcase.
It's pretty straightforward stuff.
But anything they could do, I think, would be welcome.
Jake from Melbourne, Australia, says he drives a truck for most of his days for work,
and listening to the shows helps pass the time and keeps him in the loop with the current product.
Well, I love hearing that.
Thank you, brother.
How successful would Sting have been in the WWF if he had signed with them instead of Jim Crockett promotions in 1987,
and vice versa if the Ultimate Warrior had signed with Jim Crockett promotions instead of the WWF.
Do you feel they both would have been as successful as they were or would it have fallen flat?
I 100% believe that Sting would have been successful in either place.
Sting may not have had the physique that the Ultimate Warrior had, but he was in pretty good shape.
And with the face paint and everything and as charismatic as he was, he was good on promos,
he would have taken very well, I think, to the WWF.
I think the fans would have taken very well to him,
and he would have won world titles,
and he would have been a main event player.
Not Hogan, because it can only be one Hogan.
They wouldn't have allowed that,
but he would have been up there with those guys.
I don't feel the same way about the Ultimate Warrior.
The Ultimate Warrior would have been a flame out in Jim Crockett promotions.
Ultimate Warrior was the perfect specimen for Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon probably sat in the back when he watched the Ultimate Warrior
touching himself.
Like, the Ultimate Warrior was exactly the kind of person that you would expect Vince McMahon
to give a big push to back in the late 80s and the early 90s.
That's what he wanted in his world champion.
Look at the vascularity, my goodness, all the muscles and the bulging veins.
Excuse me, I'll be right back.
And then he goes into the bathroom.
Like, it worked for Vince McMahon because that's what he thought sold tickets.
and that's what he thought was, you know, the big attraction.
People wanted to see the big muscles larger than life.
And plus, the guy was bat shit crazy.
Like, you would watch his promos and they could be entertaining,
but you didn't know what the fuck he was talking about.
But that's what the WWF product was.
That's not what Jim Crockett Promotions was.
And if you watched any of those matches in Crockett Promotions,
there was an emphasis on work rate.
You had to be able to wrestle.
Warrior had his style of wrestling that worked for the WWF.
You put him in Jim Crockett promotions
and have him trying to go out.
out there and have matches like Sting was having with people like Rick Flair and Arne Anderson
and I mean all the guys that they had back then.
It was a work rate promotion above and beyond anything else.
Warrior didn't fit that.
Warrior wasn't about work rate.
He was about snorting and snorting in multiple ways, I'm sure, but he was about snorting
and cutting crazy promos and the bright colors and running to the ring like a maniac and
then going out there and just doing his ultimate warrior shtick.
It would have worn thin very quickly in Crockett promotions.
You would have been a burnout.
Sting would have done very well, though, in the other place.
Dak from St. Paul, Minnesota,
what are some of your favorite wrestler entrance themes
that typically would not be what someone would think of first
when that wrestler is mentioned?
A few examples would be Hulk Hogan coming out to Voodoo Child
and DX coming out to run DMC.
That's a great song, by the way.
That's a great DX theme.
Was that run DMC theme?
Honestly, one of the first ones I think of, Billy Kidman, Billy Kidman's WWE theme.
Although if you listen to the lyrics, I don't really think it fits anybody. Maybe Vince.
Naya Jackson, I mean, her original theme song, right? I'm not like no, scurals. I'm sorry, but yeah, that didn't really fit.
Honestly, I feel like half the theme songs today don't fit, or they're just too generic. Look at the vision on Raw.
Look at Bailey, you know, what she comes out to.
Role model.
She's been coming out to that role model.
Soundbite for like five years now.
I'm not even sure what it means.
I'm not even sure how it applies to her character right now.
But they still have her coming out to it.
It's awful.
If I were her, I would leave the company just to get new theme music.
Jesse from Johannesburg, South Africa.
I was on YouTube watching old WWE compilations
and I saw the Hardy's return from WrestleMania 33.
which WWE return had the biggest
holy shit factor for you.
Basically, which return shocked you the most?
That's a good question.
CM Punk at Survivor Series a few years ago
probably is number one.
It kind of has to be, number one.
I just feel like that's a hard one to top.
But I would also throw in John Sina
in the 2008 Royal Rumble of Madison Square Garden.
I was in the building for that one.
When he came out at number 30,
what was it, three months
after tearing his peck and everybody lost their minds because nobody expected him to be back that soon.
And they kept it under wraps very well.
It was a big surprise and everybody lost their minds.
My favorite part was people cheering and marking out for Sino when he came out until he got in the ring and the music stopped.
And then the booze rained down because they realized, hey, wait a minute, we don't like this guy.
We have to boo this man.
So that would be another one.
The Hardee's won at 33 is a great choice.
I was there for that one too.
I've been very fortunate to be at a few of these.
Same for Brock.
You know, when Brock Lesnar came back to the company after being gone for eight years,
that was on the raw after WrestleMania in Miami.
Now, you mentioned in his email, he also mentioned Edge,
returning at the Royal Rumble in 2020.
I'm very glad that Edge got that return when he did,
because if it happened a year later,
there would have been no fans in attendance, and it would have ruined the moment.
So he got that one in right at the best possible time.
And actually, as I'm talking here, two more come to mind.
And I would actually rank these pretty highly as a kid.
I just got done talking about this guy and burying him.
But I marked out for the ultimate warrior's return at WrestleMania when he ran down to the ring to save Hulk Hogan,
even though it looked like someone left him in the dryer for too long.
So that was a great one.
the Undertaker's return as the American badass at Judgment Day back in 2000.
That was during the Iron Man match between the Rock and Triple H.
Riding out there on his motorcycle.
Time is ticking down.
There's like 90 seconds left in the match.
You got D.X.
and the McMan's who were all part of the same heel faction at the time.
They're all in the ring kicking Rock's ass.
Here comes Biker Taker in the long trench coat, laying waste to everybody, time ticking away.
and the fans are just losing their shit the entire time.
It was fantastic television.
Actually, you know what?
That one may be my number two behind punk, honestly.
It was that good.
Adam from Michigan, in honor of Rick Ackberger,
W.W.E. Sign Guy,
who recently passed away,
what are some of your favorite or most memorable signs
that you have seen during your fandom?
Yeah, I don't know if I had a chance to mention that last week
on uncrowned. Rick Ackberger passed away just recently. He was only, God, how old was he? Fifty-four,
57? He wasn't that old. But apparently he had been sick for some time. If you have watched
WWE television for any length of time, you've seen him before. He always had these very creative
signs, but he was always there. He had the red backwards baseball cap. And Jonathan
Coachman on his show, this past week actually shared how close the two of them were. They
They had become very friendly over the years, and Ackberger would text them on his birthday every year.
But he shed some light on who he was.
Apparently, Ackberger, you know, he worked for Verizon.
And a number of years ago, his wife was dying, and he promised her on her deathbed that he would attend as many shows as he could afford to go to.
And then Coachman told a story once of Triple H telling him to tell Ackberger, I want to see him, right?
Bring him backstage after this.
show. He thought he was in trouble. He goes, no, no, no, you're not in trouble. And
Triple H basically just told him, I think they had an event in California. And so he was
traveling to go to some of these shows, even though he was not living in California. And
Triple H, and I'm paraphrasing here, but basically Triple H said to him, look, I don't want you
to go broke going to WWE shows. So from this point forward, you are not going to pay for
another ticket to come to a WWE event. We'll put you in touch with a contact. Anytime you want to
come to a show, you text them for tickets, and they will leave tickets for you.
Which was a very cool thing for them to do.
So he was a big fan.
As far as signs, the one I always come back to, I still to this day don't know what this means.
But there was a sign as Roman Raines was coming through the crowd doing his shield entrance that said,
Roman is a wank pheasant.
Now, if somebody can explain to me what a wank pheasant is, I would love to know.
I've never cared enough to actually look it up or Google it.
But if you can let me know, I would love to know.
There's just something about that sign.
I just laugh every time I think about it.
He's standing right there.
And there's the sign.
Roman is a wank pheasant.
There was a great one last year.
Oh, God, during seeing his title run,
it might have been after Hogan died.
And it just said,
Hogan fears unions.
I popped when I saw that.
Lana, remember when Lana used to work for WWE?
because she did so much.
I know she had such a memorable run there.
But when Lana was in WWE,
there was one that just said Lana
backwards.
And I laughed way too hard at that
because I'm 12.
And then you know what?
The simplest ones sometimes are the best.
This guy behind me can't see.
I don't know who it was.
And it might have been more than one person
who brought a sign like that to a show.
But it's very simple.
You hold this giant,
sign up, the guy behind me can't see.
And you're like, man, what an asshole.
But that is funny, though.
I will give them points for creativity.
Yeah, we don't get to see too many signs anymore these days at the shows,
which I guess if I was still going to a lot of shows,
I would be happy about because they do block your view.
But as somebody watching on television, I do miss that.
I do wish there were more signs.
One last thing here.
Last week, I told you guys about the head.
Heritage Auction, putting the old WWF Intercontinental title up for auction from 1985 to
1987. That's the one that Randy Savage famously used Brasso metal polish on to try to shine it up,
and all it did was strip a lot of the color from it and a lot of the paint off the belt.
The opening bid for that belt was $77,500. The bidding is currently up to $87,000. 90,000 is the
minimum next bid if you want to get in on the action. But you don't have to spend that much
because I just saw last night, I saw WWE, they just added a new item to www.com.
And what great timing. They have added their own replica of that title and you can own it
for a mere 500 bucks, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than spending $90,000. But I'm reading
through the description on the W.W.E. Shop listing here. It says,
the tarnished look is especially associated with Randy Savage's reign.
Collector accounts say that Savage use metal polish while trying to keep the plates bright,
stripping away much of the gold plating and revealing more of the underlying metal across
the globe and red logo. To faithfully capture this version, the replica was measured and modeled
from the actual title. Its tarnished effect and color treatment were also taken from that
archival title, along with its distinctive proportions, plate layout, finish, and strap details.
So they actually replicated the tarnished, like worn look of the belt, which I think is kind of cool.
And again, if you want to own it, you got 500 bucks laying around, there you go.
Maybe you want to wait for Black Friday.
I'm sure they'll have a bunch of sales coming up.
If you want to listen to my other shows on my platform, you could find me on YouTube.
