Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, everyone. Before we get into this episode, just want to let you know that there is a major announcement at the end of it. So stay tuned till the end. Huge. Big announcement. Too much. Too too big. Too big. All right. Welcome back to the basement. Welcome back to the basement yard. How's it going, Frank? I don't know why I did that. Like, I'm a fucking, like, like, like a Mozart or some shit. Conductor. Dude, doesn't that look so, like, satisfying?
Starting point is 00:00:33 Can I say something about conductors? Of a... I have a question. Of a music. Yeah, yeah. Train conductors. Of a music. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Actually, train conductors, too. Is it hard? Train conducting. I think the thing about train conductors, first of all, I don't think any train conductors listen to this, so we're safe. What about these conductors? Those, that's sick.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Don't you think you could do it? I mean, train conductor, I could do this. Look. And then watch, watch, watch. You know? I'm sure there's more to it. I'm sure there's a break up here. There's a horn.
Starting point is 00:01:03 I'll tell you this. I have never been in a situation where I can honk a horn like that. When that day comes, I will be a very happy young man. Yeah. If I am young when that happens. I got to say, you're really projecting fall and I'm enjoying that. Full's here, baby. I mean, is here.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Is it? Oh, I thought there was like a solstice thing you were aware of. I mean, it's like the end, like the unofficial, like how they say the unofficial start of the summer is Memorial Day when it's still like a month later. The unofficial start to the fall is Labor Day. I. That labor has been done. Dade.
Starting point is 00:01:34 It's done. When I'm looking at your hat and your shirt, I'm just like, I'm getting a cool breeze. Yeah. I'm getting pumpkins. Ooh. I went out for a bike ride the other morning, the morning where I fell. Right. You know, let's make sure we don't forget that I am a victim and I am injured and I deserve all this.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Let's see your cuts. Look at those scabs, dude. But I was out there and it was like 62. And I was like, look. Oh, yeah. Now we're going. Now we're moving somewhere. But this conducting,
Starting point is 00:02:06 I would get so fucking into it, dude. I'd probably sweat my ass off because it's a lot of, like, jerking. Well, like, I just want to, like, if there's, like, a big part of it, if there's, like, a big part of it where there's just, like, a symbol crash, they're just, like, over here
Starting point is 00:02:21 and then you're just like, bang! Like, they just fucking... It is a little bit of one of these things, you know? Because you've got to be able to do this and then you're over here, too, at the same time while they're going. You know what I mean? Yeah, but I think it's all,
Starting point is 00:02:32 and this is me having no previous, knowledge of course not I think it's all like you have to it's like one two three like it's it's on account so like sometimes they're they're lifting I love the lift dude or this they're shaking it's like bring it up oh but I like I like when they get a little soft with it they're like ding ding ding ding ding I need a stick what are those called a wand a conductor's needle a staff there's there's definitely word for it we're gonna be pissed I think it's gonna be a like a what you said it's not a staff It's not a staff.
Starting point is 00:03:04 It's lighter. A needle, a stick, a baton. Oh, good for you. Is it a baton? Conducting baton. Wow. Can we do a little exercise? Sure.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Can you try to conduct Frankie's voice? I'll try to follow you. That's a great, great job. Are you going to sing a song? I mean, I will follow you. Ah, ha, oh, eh, oh, oh, oh, he, ha, he, ha, he. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I, one, a be, a, bong, oh. R. That's exactly what I picture. That's perfect. That's pretty good. Here we go. You ready, ready, ready. Yeah, so one,
Starting point is 00:03:45 D'n-Body-da-be-da-be-da-v-a-v-v-a-v-v-a-v-ho. We're not done. We're not done. We're not done. Exactly what I, yo. We're both conductor. That shit, look up a conductor doing his thing. Look up a conductor doing it.
Starting point is 00:04:10 And like, it's got to be a good song. Don't get a. a fucking dumpster of a song. But do we know any like classical I mean like Star Wars? Yeah, we're not able to play it. Yeah, we're not able to play it. Hey, hey, I just loved it like, they like, the whole body's in. What was that movie that Bradley Cooper did where he just wore a
Starting point is 00:04:27 fake nose and he's like, I'm a different person now? I don't know the name. He was a, maestro? Meestro. It might have been maestro, yeah, but he was like a very famous. Yeah, I don't know any. Do you know any? Uh, John Williams.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I mean, like the people, that do the composing for music, like for movies. Are those conductors? I think, when they do like live shows, they conduct the fuck out of it. Yeah, they must. So like John Williams, Michael, you know, Giacino, Giacino, uh, uh, whoever drove the Polar Express. Tom Hank.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I mean, technically, was he a conductor or was he just kind of like, ah, he was like everyone in that movie, apparently. Bro, that movie sucks. I know you have a special place for it. No, I don't like it. Oh, okay. No, no, no. I mean, I think that when you watch it, you're like,
Starting point is 00:05:12 this is a weird even, like a middle ground of when we had technology that was good and bad. Well, I think what it's kind of sometimes referred to as like the uncanny valley, where like you look at it and you're like this, I know it's CGI, but it just feels wrong. You know what I mean? Like, they just can't. I have the counting movements. One, three, four. Oh, oh, this guy's getting quick with it.
Starting point is 00:05:35 That's a long baton, bro. Oh, they've got to see it. Oh, I love the, like. Tracking. I love that you could just like fuck it up. Look at how he's fucking holding it up there. Oh, he's in that bitch. I'll be honest for you.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I didn't realize that it was like a screen effect until like maybe a second or a half. Oh, you thought he had a ribbon? I thought it was a ribbon, yeah. Yo, honestly, he's like. Oh, and the face too. Like, that guy would be a good wizard, bro. He's out here like casting spells on a bitch. I'm telling you right now, those are two things and a sword fighter.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I think with no training whatsoever I'd be very good at. sword fighting? Yeah. Like fencing? No. That's different. Like pirate sword fighting. Or like, you know, like a long, like a long sword or straight, broad sword?
Starting point is 00:06:22 Which is the one that they use in like Game of Thrones? I just call them swords. There's different types, brother. I just, but, oh man. And we got to get our shit downpacked because the new Harry Potter show is coming out. I know you're watching that. Hell yeah, I'm watching that shit. You're watching that bastard, right?
Starting point is 00:06:36 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude, I watched the trailer. So, like, now my feet is just. all old scenes. I love it. And I'll tell you right now, Dumbledore? My guy had it fucking going on, dude.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Gambone? The bone? You're talking about the bone? Yeah, I'm not talking about I'm talking about, you know, like, no, I don't know if you're talking about the new one that they have. Oh, I mean, it's John Lithgow.
Starting point is 00:07:00 We know John Lithgow. Like, Santa Claus, though. Like, this ain't, this ain't Dumbledore? I mean, we got to see. We got to see how he pulls through. It's true. But like, the gambon. Bro, I watched the scene where, like,
Starting point is 00:07:07 they're placing him under arrest. And he's just like, you want me to come. quietly he's like no and he slaps into fucking Phoenix takes him away and he is like a sassy fuck isn't he dude he is like I know that like afterward jakey rolling was just like oh he's gay by the way right you watch those movies there's little things in there to see a little bit of his like he's got some sugar he's got some he's got some is he the one with the one with the anal beads on it yeah whoa that's the elder wand whoa whoa whoa whoa
Starting point is 00:07:37 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is that the one? Are you not versed in... I don't remember if that was his wand or not as all. The elder one is his wand, technically. And then who gets it from him? God, this guy has got a shit, dude. You know what's crazy?
Starting point is 00:07:52 I feel like those movies are the only ones that I consistently watch, like, year over year. Nothing else? You watch Home Alone. That's a fact. Well, yeah, that's a good one. Yeah, that's true. Holiday movies are the ones, like, Halloween movies. already started ripping those. Hocus,
Starting point is 00:08:11 has been on, brother. Oh. It has been on. And we're here at our yearly check-in. I just want to make sure I say it again. I believe that Bet Midler as, uh, what's her name, Sanderson in that movie, Winifred Sanderson is one of the best acting performances I've ever seen in my entire life. Such a funny take.
Starting point is 00:08:29 It's a perfect movie nearly. I mean, it's, it's Bet Midler, so. Yeah. And like, it's just so good. But it's like Halloween movies and Christmas movies are the ones that like, I probably when you think about them, watch the most because you just rewatch them. Yeah. Home alone. Home alone too.
Starting point is 00:08:43 They're just so good. And also home alone, like, kind of just like, I'm not in the Christmas mood until I've watched that. Like, that's the thing that gets me over the edge. Do you wait or do you like, you play around and you're like, you're not like, I'm gonna wait until the day after Thanksgiving. You're like, yo, fucking November 19th, throwing on. Before it's in stores, which now it's getting closer and, it's getting earlier and like, I've already ripped a couple.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah. There are stores that set them, I mean, I remember when When I worked, you know, in big box retail, and it was like, you got in, like, the end of August is when you started getting the shipments of all, like, the holiday stuff. And then the minute, they get the opportunity to put it out. It's like, honestly, like, like, a week before Halloween, they're like, put that bitch out there. You'll see, like, the lights and everything. Ah, it's exciting. Well, this is, like, the time of the year where there is holidays. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:33 It's like, the rest is kind of, like, spread out. And then you have, like, yo, fucking Halloween, fucking Thanksgiving. That fucking Christmas. Bro, it's, I mean, if you think of it from October to February, that bitch is packed full of shit. That's true. Like, we got Halloween, Thanksgiving. Chris. Christmas, if you celebrate Kwanza, we have Kwanza.
Starting point is 00:09:53 There's Hanukkah. There's New Year's. There's President's Days in there somewhere. Well, that's not a holiday. Some people celebrate quite a intently. What do they do? They thank George Washington. And then it kind of ends around.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Valentine's Day, yeah. Yeah. What were you raising your hand about? Did this summer kind of suck? Speak for yourself. Why? It's just like the weather was ass. I feel like it kind of like zoomed by this one.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Time flies when you're having fun though. There's a lot of rain. I can't speak for you. I don't even agree with that. Really? A lot of rain. A lot of rain. Was there?
Starting point is 00:10:29 I remember a lot of rain, but I can only speak for myself. We went nuts. We had so much fun this summer. Like, so maybe it's just your summer, bitch. Yeah, maybe you got to like go out. out of your way for yourself more. Probably. What was the last time you treated yourself?
Starting point is 00:10:45 To something? I've never been to a spa. I want to go. There you go. Does that interest you? No. What are we doing? It just feels like,
Starting point is 00:10:52 you said treat yourself. Feels like something. I'd be treated nice there, I think. Yeah, you would. I mean, but like the treating of yourself doesn't necessarily mean, like someone is going to treat you nice. It just means like you do something for yourself a little bit.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Like, this one's for me. Yeah, you don't go to a spa if you don't like the spa. Well, I would like to get treated nice. Yeah, but you're treating yourself nice is the point. that I'm making. When's the last time you treated yourself to something? Wouldn't I be treating myself to a spa day? But if you don't like it.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Why are you arguing this? I don't know if I don't like it. Oh, you've never been to a spa? No, I never been. No. So you want to go and, like, you know, get a massage and maybe sit in like a soaking tub. Cool. Get your feet, like, rubbed.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah, I'm not ticklish. I heard that's a problem for some people. That just looks like he was lying. Yeah, I'm not ticklish. Come try it out. Okay. So maybe we'll, you know, you want to go to a spa? I sound like you're inviting you're gonna be treating him
Starting point is 00:11:41 Don't treat him Don't treat yourself We're not doing shit for you He's right, he's right I was about to get a spa day But you don't want that He's trying to teach you something You you're you sometimes have to put yourself first
Starting point is 00:11:53 Don't wait for the universe to do it for you You do it for you Put yourself first but sometimes you need to just give yourself A little like you know Yeah just once in a while Just a little bit little bit like you know what This one's for me This one you know what I'm gonna take myself to dinner
Starting point is 00:12:05 I'm gonna oh I like that I'm just gonna get that that you know like like a little more a little more but a little more like the shoulders have to be in there a little bit but like playful i can't should i go how often do you treat yourself to dinner both either oh not often never i would say yeah i'm okay i like groups i don't i wouldn't i don't know that i would enjoy going like going to dinner by myself but i would i would go to like a spa by myself or with somebody Yeah, yeah. Okay. No.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Damn it. Yeah. It's not a... It's not... You got to treat yourself a little bit, dude. And that's okay. No one's sitting there and telling you to go go go to yourself. Unless you...
Starting point is 00:12:49 Unless that's a form of it. Unless that's a form of it. So then that bears the next question. Treat yourself. Yeah. When's the last time you treated yourself? A couple weeks ago. I was out in L.A. for something.
Starting point is 00:13:03 And I took myself out to dinner. And I was like, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. You know, and I just got a nice dinner to myself. I had a stay. What's your favorite thing to do by yourself? Second favorite thing. We all know the first thing. What is that?
Starting point is 00:13:18 He's talking about. Gooning. Cranking it. Gotcha. Gotcha, gotcha. I would say if I have alone time, I love sitting down and playing video games. That's a good answer. I really, really, really do.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Okay. It is so, it is the one thing in my life that I really genuinely, genuinely believe that like I can do and not get sick up okay you know and I'm talking like an activity like I don't mean like spending time with like people you know what I mean like I'm just saying like it's the one thing no it's the only thing I enjoy I can legitimately sit down with a video game or several video game and just play and it'll be like oh my god yeah like sometimes I'll pop this on and then I'll go to this and then I'll oh I haven't played this in a while so like let's say you were like you said you were in L.A so let's say you were in L.A.
Starting point is 00:14:06 but there was a system there with like any games you'd be like I'm just gonna rip this whole afternoon like 12 hours if I had the time yeah that's what I mean yeah if I had the time I could see myself doing that you know and then I'm and take myself out to get food or if I'm really feeling it I'll just order food and I'll just be like I'm gaming here really oh I'm fucking blah blah blah blah blah blah yeah what's last time you got like a dominoes and just like yo I'm gonna fucking be a busy shit I mean I have I've engaged in piece of shit eating regularly baby don't don't you worry Like a cinnamon sticks? Are you cinnamon sticks over cheesy bread?
Starting point is 00:14:39 No, cheesy bread. Whoa. Cheesy bread over the cinnesticks. No, I can't do that. Bro, that cheesy bread, I don't know what the fuck it is. It is like crack cocaine. It is really good. But the cinnamon sticks, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Domino's thought they were getting to free plug here. They ain't now, bitch. Cinnamon sticks. The cinnamon sex are good, but there's just someone about it. Wait, did they get rid of them? And now they have, like, balls. I mean, I saw that someone has, like, Cineabon balls.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Yeah. It's like, I think that's Taco Bell. Taco Bell's got balls of shit all the time, dude. You ever have the Cina snacks from Sonic? I've never had Sonic in my life. I've had Sonic once, and boy, oh boy, I never thought anyone would make me hate a hot dog. They sell hot. I thought it was just like ham.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Like, everything's ham. No, brother. It's like, it's like, the idea is it's like an old-timey drive-through. So it's like a burger joint, and you can get a hot dog. Oh, that's where they have the roller blades. Yes. Yeah. wars were fought over those things wait what what if you were to just like sit down and like treat
Starting point is 00:15:39 yourself to something like what would you do great question like by yourself and's not there gooning in the corner all right although he may be whatever you want whatever you want um you know I actually I am a person who enjoys company and like groups but I do think that like there are times I've been finding myself that like, just a nice walk. I just like it. Like, just going for a walk. I love how I said sitting down and playing video games and he's like being active. No, but like, I don't like walking when it's hot, though.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Or when it's like freezing, but that, like, I guess I'm just in the mood because of your head. Yeah, that makes sense. But like that kind of weather and just going for a walk, like, oh, what if, like, would you go out of your way for a walk or would you like just walk around where you live? Like, let's say, like... Drive to a walk? Yes. Like, would you, like, go to, like, a... Like, say, like, 30 minutes from you, there was, like, a pretty, like, hiking trail.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Or, like, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I think that's a good example. It's kind of, like, greenery and stuff. Would you go to a walk, or would you just walk for the walk? Really depends where I'm at in my mental state, because I could probably do that. Or I would, like, sometimes... Like, I guess this is how I kind of judge it, because there's been times my life where I feel like I'm really going through it, and then I'll just go on, like, a fucking 10-mile walk.
Starting point is 00:17:03 or something like just just rip it how long is that taking you four hours all day i mean i don't know a while but i've i've done that i've done it in the freezing cold too i don't know there's just something about walking it's like it's not like it's not like exert it's not you're not like uh exerting yourself you're kind of like walking i mean you're all you are eventually you're up yeah after 10 miles you're you walking you're walking in the rain you throw in like a poncho or something on no but i love running in the rain because i'm dramatic gotcha because you're listening to fucking define gravity in your head and you're like stepping in a puddle. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:17:37 I'm stepping in puddles as the fucking symbols are crashing. No one can see me cry. One of those. Well, no. I do, but running in the rain is awesome. Like, being in the rain is fun because it's like, being in the rain is really nice. When you're young, you like being in the rain.
Starting point is 00:17:51 This is about to be deep. But when you're young, you're about, you like being in the rain. And then you're like taught that like, oh, you're not supposed to get wet, not be in the rain and umbrellas and shit. But then when you just surrender to the rain, you're like, I'm just wet.
Starting point is 00:18:02 There's something nice about that. All right. I'm feeling it. You know what I mean? I mean, the kids will, anytime it rains, Ruby and Mave will grab an umbrella and their rain boots and go in the backyard. It takes all of a minute and a half for the umbrellas to be on the ground. And then they're just walking and singing and like scream singing at the top of their lungs in the backyard.
Starting point is 00:18:21 They crush it. There's something about the rain. I think there's something in the rain that makes people feel alive. Do you remember the video of Drew Barrymore? Oh, yeah. She's like crying in the rain, dude. But I get it. It was funny to watch, but I get it.
Starting point is 00:18:36 It depends on the type of rain. If it's like a piss poor, like, no. I want it like, I call it, Beck and I call it 90s rain. We're like, it rains like you can look out and draw if you took a still photo. Like a fat. Like a fat drop. Yeah, yeah. Sometimes you get fat drop.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Bro, and it sounds, last time we recorded, last week we recorded, I drove home from here. And it was 90s rain to the point where like, it sounded like this on my windshield. Like it was fucking heavy Yeah And I was like this is good rain I don't like sideways rain I like when it's straight down So you're only good with straight rain
Starting point is 00:19:15 Straight rain you know what the gay rain I only like when it's like coming down But like when it's like in your face You're like ah come on Well is it not always technically in your face If you're running in the rain It's a good technically I mean yeah
Starting point is 00:19:28 It's true Every time it's sideways rains My door leaks So I don't like sideways rain I feel like you you at this point fix it it doesn't sideways rain that often that's a problem for a different day got there's other problems at the front of the line got you like taking yourself to a spa no that's that's back if you all right so we we will pose the same question to you if you were to have
Starting point is 00:19:47 like a by yourself enjoying the time want to like just unwind and be aunt what are you doing i like the video games thing play maro cart yeah but you do that enough yeah i just it's my it's my I like it. Yeah. I sit and then I check my phone. No one texts me. Then I go back to playing Mara Cart. And then...
Starting point is 00:20:11 I love how like you... Drink a Snapple. You've gone through all that stuff. Oh, so that's a good... So if you're doing this, if you're doing whatever version of it, what are you eating? And what snacks do you have?
Starting point is 00:20:22 It's a drink a snap. So a snaple there? Yeah, it's nice. Maybe order from a diner. I like my diner. It sounds like you need to be a little bit more experimental. I don't I'm not trying to say that this doesn't make you happy I'm sure it does no I'll do it this sounds boring as fuck well I just think it's like a very
Starting point is 00:20:40 achievable thing like maybe you could you know see how you would react to doing some other stuff like you're going for a walk that's true what you're doing like what you're talking about that's true don't I am talking about going for a walk but that's also because like I don't really like doing a ton of stuff by myself I like me too yeah I love how I'm like I'd be alone I play video games and he's like, I like company. But we said if we were alone. No, I know.
Starting point is 00:21:06 That's why it's like hard for me to think of something. And it's like, uh, but even like something like video games, I don't like playing if I can't be like on Xbox with people. Really? Oh, I love. I literally, you guys are like storyline. No, video game.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Yes. I don't like. Like, if I was into that, like there was a time where like I would play like Assassin's Creed and it's like no one fucking talks to me. Oh man. But it's like those are, that doesn't really happen anymore. I think, I mean, it's just about finding the right game. I'm sure if you.
Starting point is 00:21:32 You popped on, like, fucking FIFA. You can just lose yourself in FIFA for an hour. Well, I'm losing myself in FIFA currently. Well, you're losing your mind. I'm, yep. You're probably losing your mind. Have you seen the new Call of Duty gameplay? No.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Might be back. Might be back. Also, Grand Theft Auto's coming out, so. I was never a huge ETA guy. I like Grand Theft Auto, but I also haven't played in forever. But this, it's getting to the point where I'm just like, what the fuck? Like, they're putting, like, real-life casinos in it.
Starting point is 00:22:01 You can, like, gamble with, like, your real money. I also don't know if this is real, but I saw online that you have like a girlfriend that you have to text and make sure that you're like treating her nice. And I'm like, I have one.
Starting point is 00:22:11 So I was, so I asked this question in our group chat. Like, at what point does that become your life? Like, at what point does that become cheating? So like,
Starting point is 00:22:22 if I were to be playing Grand Thefts, because I think they said that like that part of the game that you're referencing, you have to like romance and date your in game. I got a flirt. I got like, a cheats. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:32 So, like, at what point does it become like, this is a problem? Because I don't know if Grant that Theta 6 has this mechanic. As of recording, it's not been out, and I haven't seen an answer on it. But, like, what if you can, like, full on just have fucking gang bang sex in the game? Gang bang. I don't know why I started there. That would start slower. I, yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:55 I mean, I would imagine it's not at that point. I would you get into the AI of it all. I would say that starts to get blurry. Right? Yeah. I would say it's like, this is weird. Like if, like, I think if you have to use your void, like, if you have to like pick and like choose and be like, take her to dinner or sit on the couch or do whatever, like those, like that's fine. But if you have to like put on the microphone and be like, hey, babe, it's me again.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Then it's like, all right, this is crazy. She's like, babe, hold on. She's coming back in the room. What? No, but like, it. Honey, why you're calling me? So late. That song is about cheating.
Starting point is 00:23:33 You told me that. I never put that together. You told me that. Until later in my life. Yeah. I didn't either until I became a girl. The next room. Sometimes I wish he was you.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Completely fucked. I just, I feel like it's getting to a point with this game where like, it is an optional part of the game to do the whole romancing thing. So like, I can imagine there will be relationships that as a result of that are like they suffer. Because it's just like, you know,
Starting point is 00:24:01 whoever it is, they'll be like, what, you're not going to take me out for a date? Marissa would never treat me this way. Yeah, exactly, but just like in the game, like you're out and you're going on full dates and then you're like shooting up a... This family is on the brink of Civil War. Mobland. The hit original series is now streaming on Paramount Plus. We are the Harrogans.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Don't know the land? And Google us. From the underworld of Guy Ritchie. Do you want to step up the matter? I won't call them dead. Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mayer. Do I have to do everything myself? You want to want?
Starting point is 00:24:34 I'll give you a more! Moblad, new season is now streaming on Paramount Plus. Gas station. In Gtie A4, you also had a girlfriend that you could take on bowling dates. And we convinced our friend that if you go on a hundred dates you get an achievement and then there's a sex cut scene, a complete lie. You guys are... You guys are fucking horny little bastards, dude. He did a hundred bowling scenes.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Then he went, what the... What? Yeah. And we went, oh, yeah. I mean, it's almost worse that he told you guys, I did it. Like, if he had just done it and not said anything, it'd be like, they were fucking with me. Also, the payoff is a Grand Theft Auto sex scene? It expands right there. Yeah, a 2008, you know, fucking sex scene in a video game.
Starting point is 00:25:17 It takes so long. Or just a full human woman experience could have been. We'll suffice that. I don't think we were there yet. Or, man. However. That is true. That's fine, too.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Or any other. Right. Just cover it all. I'm just saying, I think that like it's going to be interesting that stories that will come out because there's always these people that were like with Grand The Donald coming out they're just like, oh, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:41 honey, I'm not no more dates for the next couple months because I'm going to be playing the game but there will be a version of that where it's just like they're basically like having a full on relationship in a game. Yeah, that's tough. You think eventually or like, I don't see it's unrealistic that they'll be able to call you from the game
Starting point is 00:25:58 to your phone and it'd be like voice lines. That I think we're crossing a line I don't see that being super unrealistic I don't think that's unrealistic either I think that if anything The future of video gaming is that Like incorporating your actual life into the game And interacting with you back
Starting point is 00:26:13 When you really think about where everything is going to With AI and everything It's like now interacting with your I don't like it Yeah like there's an app where it's like the Grant Thatth Auto 6 app And it's like your girl can call you And like tell you to come and you know Let's go and rob a bank
Starting point is 00:26:29 together. It would be kind of like Pokemon Go where it affects your in-game character. Exactly, yeah. I don't like any of that. Where you could like talk into a microphone and it'll like determine what's going on in the game, you know.
Starting point is 00:26:42 It's not worked well, but like they had like Pokemon games like that where you could be like, Pikachu jump. And Pikachu will fucking jump and shit like that. I'll tell you this. If it gets to the Pokemon level where they're just like, where I can like talk with fucking Charzard, then I'm kind of in. But doesn't Charzard not speak English?
Starting point is 00:26:59 I mean, but they could understand you. That's true. And you could understand them, but to everyone else, it sounds like, jar. You don't it be fire. You don't it be fire if there were, like, glasses that you could wear, and then there was, like, actually you could Pokemon battle, and, like, they appear, like, on the street.
Starting point is 00:27:16 You know what I'm saying? I mean, we're in a park, and, like, we look insane to everyone else. Well, so, like, we're seeing the battle. That kind of already exists would Pokemon go. So, like, you can turn on, like, it's like, I don't know what the toggle is called, but, like, basic. basically, if we're sitting here
Starting point is 00:27:31 and we find that there's a Pokemon in this room and you turn it on, you have to like with your phone look around and you'll see the Pikachu like hop up on the desk. AR. Is it AR? Yeah. So like, it kind of... What's AR? Augmented reality. Oh. So it kind of already exists
Starting point is 00:27:47 like that. And there are games like on the meta quest where like you could put it on and you're, it'll scan your room and your room will like look like someone is like, an alien is like taking the roof off your house and you have to like shoot shit like that. I don't know if I like that. How do we not have a Yu-Gi-O dual thing yet where we put a card down and a hologram comes up? I can play pot of greed.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Yeah, what happened to holograms? That was so like awesome like in Star Wars where like you could send a message? I'm letting you know right now. You guys, we are at a really cool part of the conversation. I'm so happy we're talking about this. About holograms? I'm just saying it like in terms of like video games and shit like that where I could, but it would also not be good for my.
Starting point is 00:28:27 marriage. You know what I mean? For hologram. Because like if Becca is like walking up the stairs and I go, it's time to do-d-d-d-d-dood dole! Yeah, that'd be so sick. And she'll walk up and she'll be like, you're 34. Yeah, yeah. Stop talking about dark magician. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:28:42 Like that would probably- Babe, set an extra plate. Blue Eyes by Dragons having dinner with us tonight. Oh my god, babe, Kaiba's here. Or like, you're getting a phone call. You'd be like, hold on. Professor Oaks calling me. That should be cool as fuck.
Starting point is 00:28:57 I can't go. Professor Oak is calling me. We have a call later. Baby, you understand. I got to call it. I got to work call it too. It's Professor Oak. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:29:08 It's not like it's wrong. Can you just Google the closest Pokemon Center for me? You know, Nurse Joy needs to see Weepin' Bell. If I don't get there first, I don't get my new Pokemon. Yeah. Dude, let's bring back. I had like recently downloaded a Yu-Gi-O game and was playing with Josh. Like he had downloaded it too.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Really? Dual links? Yes. God, it's so good. It's so good. Is that a phone? It's an app. It is, I will say, it's kind of passed us by a little bit. Like, now it gets a little intense with some of the things where it's like,
Starting point is 00:29:37 you need to use special proto-monsters to do-link Zoom monsters. And I'm like, what happened to the old stuff? Just want to hit attack. I just want to hit attack and defense, yeah. I've lost in one turn. I want to snap my phone in half. It's like, the game's like that now. We went back to cards.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Me and Chaz. It's just fun. It's fun to do it. Oh. We do the whole like, God, please, heart of the cards, please. Yeah. Sometimes you need it. Not so good.
Starting point is 00:30:03 Sometimes you need it. You do need the heart of the cards. I'll tell you right now, once you throw down your first Blue Eyes by a Dragon, you ain't going back, baby. Dude, when I opened a pack of Yu-Gi-O cards and got a Blue Eyes by a Dragon, like, I was like, yeah, this is the fucking best moment in my life. And then you got the Blue Eyes Ultimate and you summoned the Blue Eyes Ultimate by sacrificing. What do they call it? Is it sacrificing or you summon a new monster, but you have to, like, give your, like, other ones for tribute.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Yeah, sacrifice for tribute. Remember obelisk? This is getting real nerd. Yeah. Obelisk the tormentor. Do you remember him? No. The guy was fucking jacked.
Starting point is 00:30:39 I remember Gate Guardian. Oh, Gate Guardian. That was a good card. Golden Wing of Raw. You gave me for my birthday. Exotia. One year. You gave me the arm thing with Exodia.
Starting point is 00:30:50 All the arms, all the pieces of Exodia. And I was like, oh, this is. cool. I was fucking. I remember when we had tournaments in like fifth grade at lunch and there was this kid who had pieces of Exodia and he's
Starting point is 00:31:03 like, but they're not real, they're Asian. And I was like, what? Well, there was that place by our school that like they sold packs and you were just like oh, sick and then you go but they were like the packs from Japan. Yeah. So like you'd get the card and you wouldn't be able
Starting point is 00:31:19 able to read anything or know what it did and it's before the internet. So you just had to make shit up. And I remember there was always like, I would just be like, oh, you could see like the numbers for like attack and defense. But like it'll be like the special effect is like you have to forever give me your card. You just make stuff up. Yeah, just make shit up 100%. Man. Those are the days.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Those were the days. And now we're old and we're talking about going on walks. Yeah, what's wrong with me? There was a time. I mean, when you gave me the Game Boy, I was ripping that a lot. Yeah, you never finished it, did you? I didn't. But I...
Starting point is 00:31:53 Your Charzard is in there And he's just pissed off at you right now He is good He's my strongest run Don't have his Apdos Pissed I don't know if I've ever Completed a Pokemon game
Starting point is 00:32:03 That's outrageous That's crazy I mean completed in one sense Caught all the Pokemon Never Or made it Is there an end Like made it to you
Starting point is 00:32:10 I mean there's an end To beat the elite date I don't think I ever got past Snowlack I was like this is dumb That is the beginning of the game That's like midway through And then I just walked around It's also like such a cool part of the game
Starting point is 00:32:20 Because like you use this Pocafoot And this thing wakes up And you're like Holy fuck this strong-ass fucking fat fucking Pokemon I don't think I forgot it I always got scared
Starting point is 00:32:31 by Lavender Town I don't fuck with it I don't fuck with that at all I really don't fuck with that type of music at all now Yeah they'll get you Also I just reminded myself From doing that little whistle I watch Hunger Games for the first time in my life
Starting point is 00:32:44 I had never seen it Yeah but I like bow and arrows So I was kind of in Of the big bow and arrow movies though Not the one that you want to watch. Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings, brother, obviously. Or even the Avengers, dude.
Starting point is 00:32:58 My guy, Hawkeye? Rambo. Rambo. He does use it. He does use it. Does he? Big, big, big? The only thing I remember from Ram...
Starting point is 00:33:06 Big Buck, big? The only thing I remember from Rambo is that he, like, had a 50 Cal in one of the last movies. Yeah. You ever see the meme where they, like, edited it out? He just looks like he's giving a really hard thumbs up. Because he has, like, a gatling gun, but it just looks like he's given a really hard thumbs up. No, I haven't seen that. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:33:22 But in that scene, but in that scene, yeah, you can pull up the meme. It's great. But it's like he has a 50 Cal and he like, people are just exploding.
Starting point is 00:33:35 It's insane. Anyway, that's a good transition probably to the ads. People exploding. Explode those ads all over our face. Yeah, no problem.

But go and submit it and add in the context, and maybe we'll talk about you to you with you, show the picture. You never know. But we really want that to be a real fun part of the shows. Those cards that we did during those first, you know, two rounds of shows. That's kind of the same thing that we're doing here with these pictures. So go check it out.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Thebasemanyard.com slash submit. New merch at Sandigado Studios.com and patreon.com slash the basement yard. That was a good snap. That was a double good snap. That was a pretty good snap. How many fingers can you snap with? I did something recently. Like, I bought a bag.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Yeah. Uh-huh. Like a purse. Oh. Oh, like the man purse? What are you doing? Like the ones that go around, like a faddy pack that you kind of put around your, like you're my father? No, it's like a bag.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Oh, like a handbag. Kind of. Good for you. A merce. Good for you. It's like, technically it's a tote bag. How short are the hoops, though? That's what really makes the big difference.
Starting point is 00:40:51 I think there's both. Can we see this bag? Oh, you don't want to pull it up because you want to start. I'm going to keep it. now. Can I get a keep that shit? Can we just see how it has to be held? Um, you can strap. Okay. Like a cross. You could. Oh, it's like a bag. I'm confused as to what, like, you're teeing this, you're, you're keying this up because there's something about the bag that we need to know about. Is it just because it's like a purse? I think that, yeah. Cool.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I think that I'm making, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm breaking down. Not me. I'm, no, no, you absolutely are. But I'm, like, for me, am breaking down. This. This is. This. gender norms. Exactly what my fucking, what, what those people were screaming about into the airwaves. First, Harry Styles wears a dress. Now you're buying a purse. Now I'm buying a purse. Now you're buying a purse.
Starting point is 00:41:37 But I was thinking about it because I had like, I've had laptop bags. I'm like, they're nice, but like I can only put my laptop in this. So now, so what's the idea with this purse now? Are you going to be? I can put my laptop in it, but I could also have a bunch of other stuff in it. Oh. So like, I love. So, so like you'll throw your.
Starting point is 00:41:56 keys in there. Yeah. You'll throw your wallet in there. Maybe not. Wallet always stays on my body. Phone. That also stays on my body. So just keys in your laptop.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Headphones. Maybe a moisturizer. Which fit. Oh, okay. So, all right. Now I'm getting it. Maybe like an extra charger. Just always be prepared for whatever may come.
Starting point is 00:42:20 And this is what purses are. What's going on? What's the size? The size is like, I don't have it yet. Ah. But I ordered it. But it's like... Well, what was the...
Starting point is 00:42:29 Did they show, like, a picture of it on a person? Yeah. And... What's the question? Give us a good general... Oh, I would say that it's probably like... That's not a purse. I mean, brother.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Bro, it's big. He's getting there. Don't, don't you say my purse, not a purse. That's not a purse. Honestly, I don't like the way that you're talking about his purse. First of all... That's my purse. Well, I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:42:50 I was like, I think that a purse. I was like, yo, I want to get a purse. Was that so like what... You know what I'm saying it like that? Yo, I want to get a purse. And I bought something, and then I was like, it was too big. I'm like, this is too crazy. Too much of a purse.
Starting point is 00:43:03 It was just like a giant bag that I'm like, I could literally probably fit. Did you have to kind of like find a middle ground between like what is not enough of a purse and what is too much of a purse? I definitely wanted it to be. Hold up that basement on tote bag. Right there behind you so we could show off the new merch and we could talk about it. Actually, no, that one's not coming out until holiday. Not that one. Yeah, it's a different tote.
Starting point is 00:43:25 I cleaned up for a. reasons. Is it the second one? I have a feeling you bought the second one. Right. Yeah, that's one. That's, no, I did not buy the money. That's $5,000.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Joey, I'll be honest with you. If I saw you out with that, unironically, I might hit you. What the? I'm not doing this. Come on. Oh, oh. That is insane. A money bag.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Crystal clutch. This is more of a clutch. I mean, that's also a clutch. That's a clutch. Yeah. It's not a purse. But you see what I'm talking about the purse? I'm picturing purse size tiny purse.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yeah. No, no, no. It's not a, it's not a, handbag. The people that wear purses are listening to this right now and they're about to scream because there's definitely a word for the size at which it's a tote. It's a tote. It's a leather tote. Can we look up male leather tote bags? We don't know if he bought that one. I mean, I'm not saying we just need to get an idea as to like the general. Well, you're putting purse. Oh, did you get that second one? You told me purse. I just said tote. Did you? Now we're getting somewhere. It looks more like
Starting point is 00:44:24 this. So you see the first picture of that brown one? Nope. Oh, that was the first one, but I know which one you're talking about. Yeah, this one, it looks kind of similar. That's just a purse. Yeah, yeah. I mean, this one has like a strap. Is that a purse? What is it then? I mean, it's not a, I'm saying. It's a, so we have an idea of what we're talking about. It's kind of a handbag. Yeah, but this one has a strap. So at what point do you stop? Are you going to have like different ones? Like you'll have a black leather one. You'll have a brown leather one. I just got black leather or pleather. I'm trying it out. I actually don't know. I actually don't know if it's real leather or not. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Joey. I'm serious. I'm sure you got the real leather. It's all right. It wasn't that crazy. How much do you think I spent on it? Um, 200 bucks. It was a little bit more than that. 270. No, it was like three something. Three 40. But like some of them like there's, there's like thousands dollars of bags. So this is honestly that you have just made my job so much easier when it comes to your birthday and the holidays. Getting me purse? Now I can just get you like a Louis Vuitton bag. No, I don't want that. I can get you like a coach bag. At what point do you just go to full-on clutches? I actually go full-on clutches.
Starting point is 00:45:29 No, I'm not doing that. Ooh, that dog one, though. I don't know. Here's the thing. If I saw someone with this, I would be mad. Yeah. Outside of like Paris Hilton, I can't see anyone, you know, using this. How much is this?
Starting point is 00:45:41 $3,000. What are you putting there? Oh, it has a little dog collar. Oh, you, I don't care. That better be. The collar's not the part of it that's annoying. It's the dog. No, I don't even know if I,
Starting point is 00:45:54 can pull off a bag, but I'm like, you know what? I want something that could put my laptop in with a couple of other things. I love when he does it. Go to my shoulder and get a little cool. I love when he does this. I love, yeah, I love when he does this. They're going to be like a fucking gay slash feminist icon Joe Sanagato. He absolutely can. You and Harry Styles, baby. All right. Let's, let's chill. There are a couple different parallels. We both did shows at the MSG. Don't ask how many. We both did them, though. Technically. We both did shows at MSG. We do the same places. We did the same places. Yeah. We, uh, you know, you're now wearing bags. I, you're not wearing bags. I haven't worn it yet. But I'll come here with the bag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Um, I actually, I went for a run and I ran over the Williamsburg Bridge. Have you seen the videos of Harry Styles going to sound check? No. He's been walk, I think he lives in Brooklyn, or maybe Zoe Craves lives in Brooklyn, but he's been walking over the Williamsburg Bridge to go to sound trick. Why does it, why doesn't matter where Zoe Cravitz lives? I'm just saying like he's walking from Brooklyn to Manhattan. You said, Joey Kravitz lives and broke them together. They're together, yeah. Oh, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Well, context clues would help a little. Yeah, I don't know why. I assumed he knew that. But so he's been walking over. I don't know if he's been doing it, but he was walking over to go to Soundcheck. Well, I saw when he hosted SNL, he walked every day. Right.
Starting point is 00:47:13 So I ran over the bridge, like not too long ago, like last week. and in the middle of the bridge there's like paparazzi waiting oh for him yeah and I'm like that's insane probably take a different route now yeah I don't know I mean I imagine it's just just go through it
Starting point is 00:47:34 like all right so let's do something here just as an experiment Google things that Harry Styles does and I want to see he's going to pop up I don't know but if there is a list I imagine there are people that keep tabs on him. What are you expecting to pop up? I'm just, I want to see if there are parallels between
Starting point is 00:47:56 your life and his life to the point where we could say Joe Sanagato, Harry Styles. We can make a safe assumption here that no. You act like Google is this magic wand. He does. My guy. But I'll tell you what, and also the vagueness. Look at things Harry Styles does. I'll tell you this. He likes cold water swimming. Oh, no, you don't like that. Where are you getting that? Meditation. He's not Joe. He's not there yet. It's a matter of time. I have. I've done it. Learning languages and skills? He does like that.
Starting point is 00:48:23 You do like that. Yeah. Let me answer for you. Okay. Clubbing and electronic music. No, he does not. I don't think you. That's all I got.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Only in Europe. Probably him to. Oh, he runs marathons. Well, now we're getting warmer. He runs marathons. I don't know that we would classify it. He's like a legit runner. We're getting warmer now.
Starting point is 00:48:46 He broke a three-hour marathon. We're both. He's Harry-style. That's insane. It's fast. It's shit. You also wearing women's clothing. At a certain point, do you think that you will make the transition into wearing dresses and stuff like that?
Starting point is 00:49:02 And I'm not saying that in a judge by the way. I am legitimately asking. I don't know. Maybe if I get invited to the Met Gala except get canceled, maybe then I'll, you know, that's where I would. That's the pipeline. Yeah. Okay. His birthday's in February.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Oh. He's the Pisces? I mean. What am I doing? I don't know what that was. What birth, what, tell me when his birthday is. The first.
Starting point is 00:49:24 Oh, well, that ain't you. That's probably not. Well, I would have said it's on his birthday. That's a different sign even. You don't even know Joey's birthday. What's my birthday? See? 20.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Fifth. Wow. You got it. Damn it. That, that, that, fuck. What time?
Starting point is 00:49:41 God. I'll give you a hint. There's only two digits because one doubles. What am I? Cracking a safe? I mean, I just gave you a, 722. No, 646.
Starting point is 00:49:53 646. See, you frank knew that. I knew that one. He sent me up on the second question. His first word was cat. How are you actually getting this information? I'm texting him. Hey, who's your first word?
Starting point is 00:50:08 I think we're seeing some possible parallels between you and Harry Styles. And that's okay. Oh, no. I'm not saying that. I was going to say, oh, no. You're slowly becoming one of the biggest stars in the world. I don't even sing. You could sing.
Starting point is 00:50:24 No. What? I was sorry. What the fuck? Who are you? I think I tried to stop a laugh and it just said, where did you go? The throat. Do you think if I purse it up a lot that you guys may be infected with the purse?
Starting point is 00:50:45 Ooh, that's how they said that the Harry Sal was wearing dresses was going to go. That's what they were. Everyone was just like, this is an attack on masculinity. It's like, this is one person wearing a dress. Yeah. I mean, I kind of have my laptop bag. I put stuff in. I don't think so, but...
Starting point is 00:51:00 Look what happened with everything else. With watches, really. Yeah. I just feel like it makes the most sense to have something if you want all your shit with you. It just feels like... Yeah, I'm cutting your ass a little bit. I think that whoever said, like, this incredibly, like, functional... useful thing is just for women.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Come on. Throw us guys a bone. Make life easier for us. Yeah. Especially the straight white ones. Look at him. Look at him. Straight white.
Starting point is 00:51:35 And can I get a break? There's something that is not tailored to you. Figure it out. And everything should be because it already is. Right. And it should be. And that's what I'm used to. So I, so moving forward, that should be the case.
Starting point is 00:51:50 And if it's not, take it and call it. Go it. Take it and let it politically motivate. Yes, absolutely. And just forget about anyone else. I mean, what else you even need to know about and think about, you know? I just like the things that affect me and benefit me and just not anyone else. And I don't want to think about it and don't get me started on a living either.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Hey, guys, have you heard of this new invention of handbags? They're for guys and they're fucking cool. you know oh hey hey you know it would be smart if we start selling these for women yeah so it's like a man's handbag but for women right and then we become billionaires right it's a concept there it is it's an idea well i think it's a great idea honestly i'd invest appreciate that speaking of that we have some more ads here uh this one being wayfair uh wayfare they got whatever you need. Starting point is 00:55:51 So, you're in a purse. I don't think we'll be wearing heels anytime soon. Oh. But I guess they make... Oh. I guess they make, like, male platform shoes, because, like, some running shoes, brother, they're... Yeah, they get you, yeah. They get you up there. Yeah, yeah. No, I mean,
Starting point is 00:56:08 you know, I don't think it's a gateway drug to all of the... What, you should... This is what I'm... our dad's yelled at us about growing up. He's like, did you start with a handbag, and then in three years, you're going to be jerking guys off in a pot? Yeah, my dad's going to be like, a purse.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Oh, when your dad gets a hold of this. When you get to hold of that person. Can you do me, can you call him right now? You say, Dad, I bought a purse for a man and just see what happens. Wouldn't air that. No, no, no. He'd probably just make a joke, and that would be it. Did I tell you what happened to my dad with his man purse?
Starting point is 00:56:42 Because my dad has, like, one that, like, buckles here, and it's like a fanny pack. Yeah, yeah. Because when we did during the first tour, when we did the Atlantic City show, we had a thing where we were like hosting a party at a pool party afterward. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Of all the shows my dad came to, he picked to come to that, and he came to the pool party after. And first of all, boy, oh boy, was that something. But he almost didn't make it in because he came in with like his heart medicine. Like pills?
Starting point is 00:57:13 Yeah. He had medical pills. He had medical pills in his thing, but they were like, we need to search your bag. And they were like, they opened it up and they saw a bottle of pills. Right. And they're like, oh, we're not fucking letting you in with this. And he's like, no, those are my heart pills. And they're like, we don't care.
Starting point is 00:57:30 We're taking them. And then my dad got into an argument with the guy because he was like, don't take them, dump them in the garbage right now. Oh, the guy wanted your dad to dump him? No. Your dad wanted the guy to dump them. Why? Because he would I assume that he was like worried that they were gonna like take it and sell it or some shit like that But he was just like okay. All right. If you're gonna take it take it take it and dump it in the garbage right now
Starting point is 00:57:52 My guy was like I'm just taking the bottle and he was like no fucking dump it My sister was like I can't ever forgive you for putting me through that did he what happened to his pills I think he had to give them up and like I imagine they dumped them what the hell bro it was crazy You can't be like bro I need this this is like a medical offense I don't know. I'm sure it's also my dad. And I'm sure my dad was just... Why do you need pills? I'm sure they were just like, what are these? He was like, don't fuck worry about it. Oh, yeah. He's what I mean. Yeah, like, he was just like, don't worry about what my pills are.
Starting point is 00:58:24 And they were like, sir, we need to know. And he was like, fuck you, you don't need to know shit. I feel like that's my dad too. If they'd be like, what is it? He'd be like, it's drugs. What? Yeah, exactly. What's your problem? Tell the truth. That is what we are concerned of. Yeah, no, yeah, no, I'm gonna go in there. I'm gonna poison the whole fucking pool and kill everybody. Exactly. I was like that. Like what? You're worried that I'm going to start handing out drugs in your establishment and get you guys shut down?
Starting point is 00:58:46 Yep. I'm going to make a lot of money here from these people and sell them. That is exactly what we are worried about. So I always need a couple sock pills. That's what they call them. What's that? A couple sock pills. You can't bring in a whole pill bottle just in case.
Starting point is 00:58:57 You got a couple sock pills. Also, do you put pills in your socks? No. Sounds like you put pills in your socks, brother. Cannot confirm nor deny. Wow. I would never do a pill. Also, what pills are you putting in your sock that you can't just take?
Starting point is 00:59:16 Like, you're a young and in shape? You do a little molly or something? You just need sock pills. No, I don't want to hear about you doing drugs, dude. I like you. I don't. He will not respect you. I like you a lot.
Starting point is 00:59:27 I like you a lot. Oh, my God. We completely forgot about the announcement. Well, we told you guys that we did have an announcement earlier in the episode. And we do have an announcement. And him... Sorry. not how you sit down.
Starting point is 00:59:42 I wanted to get comfortable. To make the announcement, we have a special guest, so please welcome to the show, Mr. Sean Evans of Hot Ones. Thank you all so much. Yes. That's for having me, guys. There's a live crowd here. This is insane of a billion people.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Dude, what's up? Thanks so much for having me. Good towards. We'll finally meet you guys. Welcome to the show. Thanks for coming. Did Wingpong had a little adjacent? We thought we would see you in the hallway.
Starting point is 01:00:09 That didn't happen. Did not happen. I saw there was a bunch of pictures. We saw you there. It happened when it was supposed to happen. Exactly. On this fateful day. This faithful day.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Yes. There's an exciting announcement. There is an exciting announcement. I don't know what to say. We have a new show called Hot Ones Game Night. And I am thrilled that we have secured the best host in the game. He's in the room right now. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Very likable guy. Yep. congratulations Joe let's go let's go sorry I know that there's more to announce before I ask my series of questions yeah
Starting point is 01:00:52 good news begets more good news because appearing on the show will be frank there you go clap damn it first episode is it the pilot we don't know but Frank will be there first of all I want to say
Starting point is 01:01:07 thank you for using the word begets on here because that has never been done before ever in the entire existence. I didn't even hear that. Well, open your ears. I was listening to all the compliments at first. I was like, wow, this is going really well. Yeah, this went really well. Anything, because, you know, you said best in the game hosting it, great.
Starting point is 01:01:22 In terms of guests, where do I rank? The best one that Hot Ones Game Night has ever had, that's for sure. Honestly, technically not wrong. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, that's great. That's going to be fun. Congratulations. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:01:36 And I'm really excited. The game is a lot of fun. Yeah. So, like, me and Greg are also, like, executive producers on it. And basically, I'll be sitting down with a celebrity guest every single week playing a board game. There'll be questions. They'll be hot wings. I will be tortured.
Starting point is 01:01:52 It will be a fun time. And we've recorded some episodes, and they're just a ton of fun. Yeah, yeah. They were a lot of fun. The game was a lot of fun. The aftermath might have been something. They might have left something to be desired there. But I enjoyed it.
Starting point is 01:02:07 I mean, I'm also like a, I like hot stuff and stuff like that. So I'm like, yeah, I was fucking pumped and shit. I'm sure in your guys' position, though, that that goes away pretty quickly. It's tough. I don't know how you do it where you eat that many hot wings in your life. Well, it's interesting to talk to you because I feel like this is a unique experience. You're like the only other person on the world that I can talk about, you know, hosting a show where a prerequisite is that you have to eat extremely spicy wings. You shot a few episodes.
Starting point is 01:02:37 I am curious, how has that experience been for you? I feel like I'm a hot one right now. He's asking really good questions. Throw baguettes in there again. I feel like I wasn't really paying attention to that part because once this idea started forming, I was like, this just sounds like such a fun idea. And then once I arrived on set for the first taping,
Starting point is 01:02:57 I was like, oh, shit, I have to eat these. Yeah, why did I say yes to this? Yeah, and then after the first episode, I was like, I don't know how. you do it. And I was also like, we're never going to like shoot two in a day, right? Like, because I'm dying over here. Like I think that, you know, it's, it's an honor to be able to work with, you know, the, the first week feast company and do this show. But definitely doesn't come for free. What there is a price you pay for doing. What was. What was harder for,
Starting point is 01:03:28 I guess either of you, is it the wings or the milk and or dairy that comes as a result? Well, I always tell guests, you know, like when they're really crushing milk, I'm always like, hey, I know that this sounds insane given the circumstances right now, but a milk problem is actually much worse than a hot sauce problem. Is it really? Ooh, I learned that problem first episode. That's how the game works. Absolutely slammed milk. Are you, are you not a whole milk guy? No, I mean, it's just the volume and the chemistry experiment that's going on your stomach when you combine those kinds of forces. So I always tell people like, you know, maybe a glass of milk over hot ones, but when they keep refilling it, I'm always like, that's going to be a problem later,
Starting point is 01:04:08 but I can't talk them out of it when they're just trying to survive a moment. We did wing pong. This is our first experience ever eating those wings. The amount of milk I drank was more than I've ever had since, like, 1999. But it was also done out of, like, necessity. If I had not drank that much milk, I would have died, honestly, because that, that, those were hot. Those were very, very, and I know that's like... You pay for it later.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Brother. But here is, I think, kind of... If there is a glass of milk half full take on this, it's that the more you do it, the easier it gets. It's kind of like cardio. You know, like the more you do it, the easier it gets. The more comfortable you become in the uncomfortable. I've started to look at each shoot as kind of a weekly ritual
Starting point is 01:04:58 that I work my way up towards. And then that makes the whole experience kind of... easier for me. But that's through many, many years in this game. You know, like, you'll learn these lessons and how you take those going forward. You'll learn those all firsthand, but just in doing, baby. I cannot imagine the reps because I've done years of cardio and it has not gotten a single second easier. I'll tell you that right now. And I love how two fucking, like, in-shaped people are just like, it's like, it's like, I hate that. Maybe there will be an episode that afterwards I don't go to the bathroom to cry a little bit. Maybe that will be the case. Also, I just get this
Starting point is 01:05:31 thing where like five hours later there's just like a fireball sitting right here yeah or like cramps are tough yeah um you might need to invest in a uh a biday of some sort that helped me quite a bit i've been rip and purchase yeah yeah yeah before after they're not paying me to say that but great product yeah yeah yeah he's like he's like too tombs now is like candy dude i don't know what they did yeah i mean at the office there's like chalk ones we got to get the candy because the candy ones are good we got people under the tons plug I'm your guy. Hey, let's get the candy ones in there.
Starting point is 01:06:05 No, but those are, yeah. So that's kind of like my thing. My guess was like, I'm going to have a tum beforehand, and then afterwards I'm going to just get right before what I imagine at OD would be. And then also. Have a tum cry a ton. Yeah, yeah, exactly. But I did hear that there is possibly some adverse effects from just like taking tombs,
Starting point is 01:06:31 So it's just like more bloating, but like I'm down to bloat. Yeah. You know, any port in a storm. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Have you had to become like the, like, expert of science in terms of eating certain things, like understanding the biology of what's going on in your stomach? To be totally honest with you, I don't overthink this, you know?
Starting point is 01:06:50 I always, like, kind of the way that I compartmentalize is I'm like, you know what? Ray Lewis played 17 years in the NFL, you know, like, yep. You know, he stacked those games and did a lot of years, you know, Can be doing, can doing hot ones be more of a physical lifelong liability than playing linebacker in the NFL? I tell myself no. You know, and like maybe that's just an idiot talking himself into something. But I'm always like, if he can do that, I can do this. But I really don't overthink the prep or even the post game.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Like I kind of just eat light before, rip the show, and then go home, turn on the air conditioning, put on some basketball shorts. It's becoming like a Pavlovian way, a kind of reward moment of my week that I actually really enjoy. Yeah. You're like, I'm going to go home, put on some loose shorts. Yeah. Yeah, send in front of the AC. Just let it. I'm not on email.
Starting point is 01:07:45 I'm not picking up any calls. Like, it's become kind of a really lovely part of my week that I look forward to. Any, have you experimented with icebacks if that helps at all? Does like the external temperature just kind of cool things down inside? I've only done like a couple of cold. hold plunges in my life, but now the wheels are turning. You're welcome. That one's for free, by the way. Next one I will ask you to pay for it upside down. Thanks Frank. Head in there first. I think there are worst parts that you might want to throw in there first. And you're, you just did
Starting point is 01:08:14 the math on that. So if I'm giving you some tips, you know, we talked about the milk. The other thing is when you're eating these wings, you know, you're going to have sauce on your fingers, be very careful around the eyes, thoroughly wash your hands after every shoot because you won't think about it. you'll go to take a piss, and then you'll have a problem that's worse than the milk problem, you know? And I don't want you to learn
Starting point is 01:08:34 that lesson the hard way. I actually got, I don't know what it was, but something under my fingernail. And then like, when I have my hand down like this, it's like pressing against my nail, and it just feels like I have a wound or something.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Bro, it's like a hot pepper under my finger. Sometimes I'll take a shower like that night or whatever. My whole body will be hot. Yeah, and I'm like, what's going on with my fingers? Like, it was days after, like three days after. And I'm like,
Starting point is 01:08:58 I'm showering, I'm doing whatever, I'm trying to get it out, but there's something lodged under my nail. You'll be forever changed on the other side of this day. I wash my hands like a fucking surgeon. Surgeon the times I've done it. Like I'm in there and I'm like putting like the arms up like that and stuff like that and walking out like this. It's, uh, you got to be thorough because I, when I was younger I had like cooked with
Starting point is 01:09:19 a spicy pepper and like didn't wash thoroughly and it hurt. Like medically I thought I had a problem, but it was just. Learn every spice problem. Yeah, you see, you figure it out. wasn't anything real dangerous or scary. I tried to melt down spicy candy once and I pepper sprayed the whole house. Well, I, we did, we did a video where we cooked and I, I just saw a thing of pepper on the counter and I just used it, but I guess the pepper that it was was, remember the red pepper when we did the cooking video? It, like, everyone in there could not breathe.
Starting point is 01:09:54 Gasmed. I gas them. Yeah, it was, it was pretty dangerous. Oh, God. It was fun. Yeah, you'll be all right. I'll be a fine. We'll see. You'll be a fine. I'll be a fine.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Just like nervous thinking about it. It would be like six months down the line, but I don't know if I could do it. Fuck. Well, a lot of good news, begetting good news. There's another begett. But unfortunately, I have some bad news. So as part of the initiation into the great fraternity of spice, we did bring some wings. over here.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Greg's got quite the pepiness step walking with these. Yeah, you're smirking, smiley bastard. Oh, do you have a preference? Do you want the flatter to the drum? What is this? I'm trying to think about which one looks not as sourced, but they both look even. I have a feeling that this is just like a good he-he-haha.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Like, they're not actually, like, hot. And it's just like, we got you. No, I don't think that Greg's- They're hot. Are they? I knew it was. Why do I have one? Because what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:10:57 Why do you have one? And now you'd be sitting there Giggle McGee. Also, you guys are in this together. Bastard? Yeah, go, go, you don't get one now. Oh, you really didn't expect that one. Yeah, go get away.
Starting point is 01:11:06 Go get away. Yeah, you're all doing this now. Now you gotta be in. You guys lost one. I just wants everyone to eat. All right. I think we just got a rip dip. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:16 Congratulations. Thank you. When is the first episode coming out? September 30th, that was a good one. September 30th, the first episode on the first we feast YouTube channel will be coming out. So look forward to that. No idea what time, but we'll figure it out along the way.
Starting point is 01:11:31 But definitely go check it out. These are definitely hot because I sniffed it, and it punched me in the back of the fucking UVA. It smells good, honestly. Cheers. Cheers. Here we go, baby. Cheers to you. And thanks.
Starting point is 01:11:40 And let us know how our technique is as well. So I like the technique for both of you. It's just very shoot first, ask questions later. Oh, my God, in hell. Why do we, why do we have? Oh, no. You can't breathe. too much because if you breathe and you kick something back like into your
Starting point is 01:12:03 sinus or something good night oh boy I do love how quick you're learning you know I love how you're picking all these things up I'm trying to like eat while breathing holy shit I'm trying to eat while breathing out because there was a time where I was breathing in as I did thank you God in heaven what is my oh here it is um oh man my hands are shaking all right I want to like I want to like I want to I want to sing like limp biscuit. Glasses are fogging up a little bit. There's something wrong.
Starting point is 01:12:34 What's going on? Don't get. Don't do it. Come on. This isn't right. Okay, we're not going to make people throw up here. I'm not. You want milk?
Starting point is 01:12:42 What? Help, I want help. If milk is help, I need it. I think I'm, oh, fart. I'm gonna try and do, do you personally try to be like, I'm not drinking any milk? So what I always do is kind of mirror what the guest does. That way they don't feel like they're being silly or something. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:12:57 I'm always trying to let them know that, them know that no matter what you're going through, no matter how crazy you think you're acting right now, way crazier things have already happened in this show. So if you're going to reach for milk, that's okay. I'm reaching to, I'm always kind of giving whatever energy they're giving to the show. I'm always trying to like return it in equal and opposite measure. I'm always meeting them halfway. Do you find that most people are trying to be like, I'm not going to have anything. I'm just going to. What I have found. You guys are sitting there talking over the time of your life and I'm asking out of it.
Starting point is 01:13:27 That's he's a host, he is understanding the rhythm of all of this. No, watch this. I got this. Yeah, look, lock in. You don't look at me. Just lock in. Look at this. I got this. But I think the guests who walk in with humility end up doing the best.
Starting point is 01:13:44 It's the ones that I think walk in with a kind of a cockiness or swagger about how they're going to do. That always backfires every time. Okay. And also one of my very serious questions is, I feel like you're going to be going to be. as one of the best interviews, interviewers that we have in this day and age. What advice do you have for me for that approach as far as that goes? You know what? I would say like just whatever you're naturally curious about, other people will be curious about.
Starting point is 01:14:14 So kind of let your own impulse and your own instincts, let that drive how you construct an interview. You know, like don't try. Don't try hard. Yeah. You know what I mean? Just marinate in the last. life of somebody else try to understand them do a little armchair psychology and then whatever you're naturally curious about like let that shape the interview and then hope for the best man
Starting point is 01:14:38 hope for the best you know you how the fuck are you having a normal conversation right now you know I think that he's right in that when you do it and you're just like a little bit more comfortable in the whatever I'm definitely in pain it really feels like a like a scorpion bit my lips like I have like two lines like a vampire like fanged me right here and it's just like a space and I'm gonna pay for that. You're very confused by what I'm saying, aren't you? No, you're drinking an energy drink to try and just your judge. We got the right host. You know, it's like you're learning all of the lessons and you're either even learning the rhythm of it. You know, like the way you ate it fast. You got it down and then you were on your feet like a cat, you know, like ready to feel the question ready to react to the rhythm of the show. If there's a pussy over here is this guy right here. I'm telling you right now. Well, this is a messay.
Starting point is 01:15:30 These are great compliments that I'm getting at the moment. Yeah, sweet, guys. I have big shoes to not fill, I guess, but. Fucking cock. I have a big... Something. Something. I can't think right now, obviously.
Starting point is 01:15:42 There's a lot of stuff firing in my mouth. God, I will say, this is delicious milk. This is whole milk? He loves whole milk. Oh, I love whole milk. It's the right kind of milk for this situation. If they came over here with skim milk, I was going to throw it in their face. Does anyone ever ask for almond milk and then you got to break it to them?
Starting point is 01:15:57 Yeah, no, I mean, no, we'll give it to them. So I don't, I mean, here's the thing. Like, yes, you can try to explain to an A-Less celebrity, like, actually, whole milk is the thing that you use. But like, the thing that I've noticed is, like, as the show's evolved and guests have gotten more high profile over the years, the kinds of dietary requests are like the riders just get weirder and weirder and weirder. And then you have these like nut-based milks and you know what I mean. So as that's happened, we always just try to be like the most comfortable, least comfortable, interview show. So whatever kind of request guests have about the lifelines that appear around them, we'll always just satisfy them. But like, yeah, you're right. Whole milk is the way to go.
Starting point is 01:16:36 But it's actually rare that a guest is just going with whole milk. But that, that tells me that they know ball when they request hold. I know ball. I know ball, Sean Evans. I know fucking ball. Isn't it true that like almond milk and those milks don't really help? No, you need, uh, fat, I think. Yeah, yeah, to cut the, to cut the heat. But you got a no ball like Frank. Has anyone ever asked for like, just like fucking butter to rub on their mouth or like breast milk or something? You know, I'm trying to think like, I remember like Gordon Ramsey brought in his own Mary Poppins bag of. You had the spray, right? Spice antidotes yet.
Starting point is 01:17:15 He had, that was actually, who did that? That was Mark Rober who brought in, like he tried to like, he tried to fight spice with science. I remember like Gordon though, he would have like donuts. So at one point he brought a milk fire extinguisher. So it was a fire extinguisher and then he could blast milk out of it from across the studio. But he had like on every wing something new. But here's another thing that you learn. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:41 Is that nothing really totally helps. Like you kind of just have to. Best a luck, bitch. You kind of just have to surrender to the experience of it all and just try to survive. You know, people are always like, oh, what's going to bring me back to normal? Like when we're in the middle of the interview and sometimes, I'm like, you just got to kind of ride it out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:59 One thing, too, that I was very, like, aware of is not having chap lips. Because I feel like if I have chapelips and I eat a hot wing, like, I'm just going to. You'll feel it. You'll feel it. It's going to be bad. Has anyone ever swung on you afterwards? Like, yo, like, fucking square up, you son of a bitch. Marcelo Hernandez actually, like, semi-recently.
Starting point is 01:18:18 You know, he was just going through it in, like, a spice k-hole on the bomb. You know, like, fighting night terrors, but, like, wide awake. And then I'm hitting him with what I'm sure for him was just this insufferable game where I'm giving him, you know, like just a stranger than fiction news stories and having him decide if that actually came from Florida or somewhere else. And I don't think he's hearing a word that I'm saying, you know, like as he's trapped in his own hell. And I just keep rattling these news stories off.
Starting point is 01:18:47 And then he got up, I would think, to take a lap around the room. And he just kind of squared me up. And he did. And he just. sent a hook, you know, like I was able to, I was able to kind of fake. But it, like, looked like a really well-executed stunt punch in a movie. I will say this. He is in movies now.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Yes, he is. And thank God you got a voice like silk. Because if you were out there and you sounded like fucking Gilbert Godfried or someone, R-Ip, I guess. Or like a Long Island mom. Yeah. If you sounded like a Long Island medium. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:21 She's like, let me ask you something. Let me talk to you about this. That would make this 10 times worse, but you are very well-spoken, and it begets me. Did I use it right? I've also been begotten from both. You've been begot from the front and the back. Yeah, exactly. Everything has been getting you.
Starting point is 01:19:38 I got begot over here. Now I'm getting it over here. It's really just a, never mind. Yeah. I'm not going to say that. It's a, God. Well, I mean, boy, oh, boy. Well, thank you so much for initiating us.
Starting point is 01:19:49 We appreciate you taking the time to come on the show and make this announcement. Again, thank you for the advice and the kind words as well. Thank you for nothing for me. I got nothing here. I got your presence. It's an ever-expanding program flight. I do. I do appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:20:07 On the next one, we got you. But, you know, I want to say, been a fan for a long time. So it's awesome to bring you in the fold. And I'm really excited for what you're going to do. And I always think, you know, like the hardest part of these things is finding a host that can rock with it, who the audience is going to love. And I really feel like we did that. I'm excited to see what you do, Joe.
Starting point is 01:20:30 That's crazy. I just got a panic attack with the expectations. Thank you for saying that, though. I appreciate that. But thank you, man. This has been amazing. Is there, you know, if you want to check out, Sean, go follow them on social media. This camera, this camera, this camera.
Starting point is 01:20:45 You know hot ones, obviously. They've got a much bigger audience than we've been gotten over the years. But that is... I'm sorry. I almost caught one of those on the eye. But thank you guys so much for watching. September 30th. Go check out Hot Ones game night.
Starting point is 01:21:03 And you'll see when Frank is on that show. And Sean, I guess for coming. And we'll see you guys next time. See you, September 30th.
