Let's go.
We did beat them in improv.
You had an improv against the team?
Yes, we would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us.
It's competition.

Hey, everybody's Bob Gini here.
And as the Bachelor Universe expands,
we are bringing you more shows to recap.
And this time we've got to be a lot of,
got season four, A Farmer Wants a Wife. It's airing on Fox because, of course, our Bachelor
Nation alum, Heather Martin, is also on this season. So we're very, very excited to cover her
comings and goings as a farm hand. I don't know if that's what we're going to call them, but
Lincoln, you miss her in that first episode, though, but I'm excited to see her much. Yeah.
In fact, I was, I was curious the whole time. I was like, is, am I going to recognize her?
And then I saw her, I'm like, oh, hey, there she is. And then,
But you know what?
If this is any indication, you know, a lot of times in the first couple episodes from our Bachelor era, the people who don't make a huge splash in the first two episodes are around later in the season.
So it could be the case.
It could be.
It could be.
And so sorry.
It's producer Heather jumping in here because you can't get rid of me on this show.
I didn't properly introduce you.
I didn't properly give you your love.
Heather Mundy, everybody.
Producer Heather coming in.
CEO, Heather wears so many hats.
I'm the co-co-host of this show.
Co-co-co-host.
The co-co-host, yes.
Of this show.
And I love it to have you to bounce my banter off of because this is a good one.
I mean, you know, you and I have a little bit of experience with this show.
You know, we recapped a couple episodes in the past.
Last season.
One was literally a disaster in the making while I was host.
another event in the city of New York, of course, where I got run out of a couple different
conference rooms with our cast members on the phone. It was bananas. Let me just set the stage.
It was maybe one of the most awkward interviews I've ever produced, and not to Bob's fault at all.
It was out of his control, but basically he was interviewing Farmer, Matt, and Chelsea from season
three for I do part two. And in the midst of the interview, I've never seen this.
happened before. I've never had it happen before. Bob was in a conference room and somebody from the
hotel staff came in and said, what are you doing in here? And he was like, I'm in the middle of an
interview. And they were like, and so I got kicked out. He gets kicked out of this room. And he's
literally like, I am on camera right now doing an interview. And the guy was like, yeah, I don't care.
Like, get out of this room. So it's insane. So Bob is like, I'm so sorry. I'm getting kicked out.
So Bob leaves.
And then you got into another.
I find another room.
You found another room.
And we hopped on again.
And within minutes, the same person that kicked you out of the first room came and found
you and said, what are you doing in here?
Get out now.
Claimed he was the owner of the hotel, by the way.
Which I'm like, I'm like, that is absolutely impossible that you are the owner.
You are Thomas J. Marriott?
I was like, are you kidding me?
I'm like, that is not the case, sir.
It was so insane and Bob felt so horrible.
It had nothing to do with him.
I mean, he had a room at this hotel and they were treating him like he had just walked in off the street.
That's just it.
I had a corner suite.
Yes.
And they hadn't had my room ready for me as they were supposed to.
So I'm trying to explain to the guy.
I'm like, well, look, I'm like, I'm supposed to be doing this in my suite, but you guys don't have it ready for me yet.
And so they had told me I could utilize this space.
And now you're coming in and you're upset.
And now, if you recall, I was also there to do a Today Show thing.
And I'm like, so I decided to swing the stick.
I'm like, not only am I doing an I heart event right now.
I'm also doing a Today's show segment.
And you're all, you're going to be all over the news, bro.
I'm like, you're just going to be everywhere.
This is fantastic.
Great, great press for you.
All press is good press, I suppose.
You should have said, I'm a little bit famous.
You might not know this, but I am semi-famous.
I am semi-famous.
I like them both.
I'm a little bit famous.
I think I like semi now that I'm thinking about it.
It was just hilarious and Bob handled it with so much grace.
And if anybody wants to go back and listen to that episode, it's a literal recording of a
train crash.
I mean, it was a train wreck.
It was so funny, but Bob handled it so great.
And we were able to get Farmer Matt and Chelsea back on and finish the interview properly.
But we, of course, kept all of that in of Bob getting kicked out of the room.
Of course, she did.
It was all picked up on the microphones.
It was hilarious.
I mean, and P.S.
To be fair, my wife loves saying this.
Like, I don't encounter in my whole life, and I'm old, right?
I haven't encountered too many people not just being willing to do what I want.
So if I'm like, you mind if I just stay in here for another 15 minutes?
They're always like, okay, because I'm nice.
I was just about to say, Bob Guinea's got a lot of charm and charisma peeps.
He is very, he's very friendly and jovial.
And I swear, I swear, I said this.
you, Bob, when we were in Tahoe. Bob lost his luggage on the way to our Tahoe trip.
This is true. Yes. Had absolutely no clothes had to, at one point had to rent a car and drive himself
to Tahoe because of the flight issues we were having. You would never know. This guy joins the
party. Is so happy to be here. It's so stoked. And I'm like, what? You don't have luggage? What?
You had to drive yourself? It was actually an insane planes, trains, and automobiles. And you would just never know because
Bob is so nice and cordial to everybody.
So it is hilarious that this guy was being so rude to you that day.
I didn't know what to do.
I just am so not used to it.
I was like so caught off guard.
Yes.
So hilarious.
But anyways,
I wanted to know other than that last season that we kind of dabbled in,
I mean, I watched the whole thing.
But what is your background when it comes to Farmer Wants a Wife?
Because this show was on for a really long time,
went off the air for a bit.
and then I believe came back in a different iteration on Fox.
So like what is your experience with this show?
So I only watched that season.
I only watched the episodes that we covered on the show.
But I found myself really liking the cast.
And so it was one of those things where I was hopeful, right?
I was really hopeful for them.
And I was really excited.
I mean, and then what like you talk about Matt and Chelsea,
I kind of knew they,
I didn't see that connection working.
out, but I thought they were individually very nice people. And I was like, she seemed a little
too polished. He seemed a little too, you know, country, but he wasn't really country enough.
You know, there was a lot going on there. He's a little reserved. He's a very nice guy. I've
done quite a few interviews with him. Very nice guy. Handsome, charming, you know, whatever.
And he's doing just fine, guys. I saw him last month and he is dating. That's as much as he would say.
Yeah. But he's doing just fine. Well, what?
I think we should set up for the listeners is if they haven't seen this show, that it revolves around
last season. We had four farmers. This season, we only have three, which I think is kind of better
because I felt, as somebody who watched last season, I felt like it's, it's really hard when
there's multiple leads on a show. I've done, there it is. I've done several dating shows like this
in my career. And it's really, it's hard to do the one lead, which I've said on this pod is a thing of the
past. Nobody does the format that the Bachelor
Bachelorette does anymore because you're really putting all your
eggs in one basket to make that one person carry a show.
So nobody does that anymore.
Everybody has really gone to this montage of
nobody's really the focal.
Multiple people coming in.
You have a lot, maybe a cast of 12 to 15 that you're kind of
following on a journey of finding love.
But this format of three leads,
multiple women trying to date each one.
I did a show like this for Hulu.
I did anybody who's listened.
I've done F Boy Island, F Girl Island,
which were also both of the same kind of format.
So it's hard because there's a lot of people still on the show.
A lot of people to get invested in.
Exactly.
You're not really going to get locked in
until we get further into the show.
But what I do like about this show is,
So we have three farmers.
We have each of them has their own kind of group of girls that are there to date them.
Which they pre-screened, right?
So they did have the opportunity, at least from the way they did the setup of the show,
that they kind of pre-screened and selected these nine.
So I'll burst the bubble on that.
And I'll say that that is not true.
And that's not how this works, unfortunately, or fortunately, you know, maybe they asked them
which girls they found attractive.
But I'm here to say that on any.
show that I've ever worked on.
The talent does not get to choose
from the pool. Not this early on. You get to make those
decisions on who you want to bring back to the farm
in the case of this show.
But you're not choosing which girls are for you.
And the reason for that is because
you would not choose people
that bring the drama.
Or people that, you know,
are different and outside of your type.
Because that's the other thing is part of these experiences
is to date differently than you do maybe in the real world.
You know this firsthand, Bob.
I mean, the point is if it's not working out in the real world for you
and you're just dating the same kind of people all the time,
this is your chance to expand and try different things for once in your life.
So, yeah, so the producers choose your group of women that are there for you.
And you can tell because we've got, you know, Farmer Brett.
he is our oldest farmer this season and all of the women that were in the older age category
were there for him or matched with him in Brett's farm.
So, you know, so that's strategically done by the casting team and by the producers.
But it's cute that they set it up being like, oh, these guys chose these girls and these
girls chose these guys.
Right.
Oh, no, that's not really how it works, but it's fine.
But Bob, I'll let you take it away.
way and we can get into kind of the the rundown of how the episode started.
Yeah, for sure.
So, yeah, I mean, it was a great, first of all, like I said to you before, I found myself
smiling a lot during this show, right?
We got three farmers coming on.
We've got, let's see, Brett, Braden and, is it Sean?
Yep.
Yeah, Brett Braden and Sean.
And they come on and they are, you know, they do a little, a little spiel about each guy.
We get to know them a little bit, figure out who these guys are.
are right? And it's all seemingly really nice guys. Good looking guys. I think one of the
one of the criticisms of the show previously was that the guys weren't really farmers. I remember that.
That was one of the things. And I think we see that again a little bit on this season.
Yeah. You know, they're using a broad brush when they say farmer. Listen, it's it's did you grow up on a
farm? Do you live near a farm? Have you ever eaten food that came from a farm? Well, hey, then you're in.
Right? Do you look good.
good in a cowboy hat.
Listen, I think that the guys, I think if you really narrowed it down to guys that are
a little bit, let's, I'll just call it out.
So farmer Braden is a fifth generation farmer.
He farms soybeans and corn on his farm out in Homer, Illinois.
That guy's a farmer.
He really, I spent time with these farmers last month.
I'll get into that.
Very nice.
I got to meet all of them.
And yeah, that guy is a farmer.
Now, what they didn't show in this first episode,
and I think that they will get into later,
is he also has a very, he's musically inclined.
And he has a passion for music, country music,
and he's a singer-songwriter in his area.
So they didn't highlight any of that in his background package,
but it's in his show bio.
We'll see it.
Yeah.
It's in his show bio, yeah.
And so we'll end up seeing it.
But before we get into Farmer, Sean and Farmer Brett,
Kimberly Williams Paisley is the host of this show.
Yes.
I used to love her.
Oh, my gosh.
When she was doing a lot of acting, I used to love her.
Oh, my gosh.
I mean, I think she still does acting.
Father of the bride.
Oh, she does.
The Bride, duh.
Oh, my God.
Who doesn't love that movie.
So great.
I feel like she, they're going to come for me now that I didn't look into this.
But I feel like she does TV movies.
still, maybe in that hallmark genre.
Hallmark genre.
Kind of genre.
But what is really interesting is what she says when she comes out to meet the women.
And she says, you know, even though this is unconventional, that this show actually works.
And she says the show has resulted in over 250 marriages and over 500 children worldwide.
So that is a nutso stat to have.
And that is because obviously she's not.
not referring to Farmer Wants a Wife, U.S., she's referring to the fact that this show
airs worldwide and in different countries and different, you know, they might not use the term
farmer wants a wife in other countries. It might, the show might be called something else.
They do that from time to time, just based on the country that it's airing in, what would
resonate best with the audience. But clearly it's, it's, you know, a working man type of,
hardworking man kind of show where women, you know, city,
about me, like a hardworking, you know, gritty guy.
Yes, exactly, exactly.
But I thought that was a crazy stat.
And, you know, I know that the Bachelor franchise obviously has aired all over the world in different countries.
Now, I don't know where it currently airs, but it would be so interesting to know the stat from that because we already know that Paradise has produced so many.
success stories from the show, probably more so than the actual Bachelor and Bachelorette,
just because your stats are, you know, you're more attuned to getting a match on Paradise
where you're meeting multiple people.
Multiple people, multiple opportunities.
In the Bachelor, Bachelorette situation.
So, anyways, I thought that was just really interesting that they pointed that out right
up top, and obviously that got the girls really hyped.
But tell me about your thoughts on farmer Sean, who is the next one that we kind of got to know.
Yeah, so Farmer Sean, right? Farmer Sean has a farm at California, family restaurant that is farm to table.
You know, he is definitely, he's kind of like the beefcake by the show, right?
They got him tossing hay bales.
Slow motion.
They never seem to wear shirts very much.
Like the guy, I guess his farm is a shirtless farm, which is normal.
I mean, that's normal.
I want you rolling some hay.
But he's looking for a lady who, you know,
we'll see the hardworking lifestyle
and will want to get on that journey with him,
his best friend and a wife,
which, I mean, isn't that the dream?
We're all looking for that.
Yeah.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Ho'Brien,
I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really,
really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich.
That's great.
It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a whole.
leave a strong financial legacy for your family.

Farmer Sean is 22 years old.
22 years old, yep.
Yeah.
I like it.
So I actually went to Farmer Sean's farm last month.
It is in the Solvang area.
It's absolutely stunning.
when we get to next week's episode
where we actually get to see
like overhead beautiful shots of the farm.
It's nuts.
So his family
owns that farm
and he kind of hints at
you know that he has a very privileged life.
Yeah.
I heard him say that at one point
and I thought that was actually nice to acknowledge
because a lot of people don't realize that
but farmers are,
you know,
they're the last generation,
last bastion of land barons in our country.
Really?
I mean,
there's there's a lot of wealth that can come as a result of farming. Oh, for sure. Well,
I will say he's not like Farmer Braden in the sense that he grew up on a farm. His family
purchased this farm only within the last couple of years. So they're actually from Newport Beach,
California. And that's where he grew up. And he, they got the farm, I want to say, like two or
three years ago. And that's where they spend like half their time, you know, is on.
that farm. It's absolutely
stunning. I didn't get to go to
his restaurant, unfortunately, but, you know,
although... Oh, that's a bummer. That's where I would like.
I know. We had a very long
day there, but it was
really cool. They do have a lot of
people that work on the farm,
you know, crew and everything
because it's a very modern
thing today that I think
people get in their heads and they think
we talked about this with Farmer Matt,
too. They think, you know, farmer, oh,
you're out there working all the land yourself,
blah, blah, blah. But in order to have an efficient farm, you do have to have a crew that
helps you to get through that. Well, I think it's probably a lot more now, if you really think
about it, being a farmer today, especially at a higher level, means that you're probably more
of a upper, upper-level executive who's overseeing a lot of things, right? And you're running
books and you're looking at P&L statements. And you're, you know, there's a lot of that going on
today, which there probably wasn't back in the day. Exactly. And like we said, Farmer Sharma
John's family has a restaurant as well. So they've got lots going on, but the house is absolutely
stunning. They had incredible food for us. There's so many animals. There's two long horns.
There's dogs running around. It was crazy. And the girls actually had like their own little barn
that they stayed in. And then there was another separate guest house. So when we were there for a press
event, all the farmers were staying in their own set of like little houses. I mean, the property is
massive. It's absolutely massive. There's a giant pool in the backyard. Like, it's crazy. We were like,
this must be a great place for parties. It was so nuts. Farm parties. Farm parties. But,
yeah, he was really cool. He is very young. I think I said this. He's 22. 22. Yeah.
22 and looking for a wife. That's young to be looking for a wife.
that's very young to be looking for a wife.
But then we got farmer Brett, who I believe is 31.
I was going to say, I don't know what his age was.
Okay, so yeah, he's a, yeah.
I think he's 31.
The most mature of the three in age, right?
And you got to look mature if you're able to rock the mustache because...
I'm telling you.
He looked good at it.
I mean, he really did.
Former bull rider, professional bull rider.
Okay, so let me tell you this.
I learned this when we were at our event with them.
The show really sets it up like he was a professional bull writer.
That is what you thought.
That is what I thought when I watched the episode for the first time.
So, and anybody can go back and listen to our sit-down interviews with the farmers.
They are on the I do Part 2 pod that is in this feed.
So you can get to know the farmers a little bit better as well.
but we said, so you were a professional bull rider
and now you're turned entrepreneur
and he was like, adamant.
No, no, no, I would never call myself a professional bull rider.
And I wanted to be like, well, dude,
you haven't seen the episode then because they clearly make you out
to be a professional bull rider.
And even when I watched it again last night,
I was like, oh God, I was not off base when we said this
because that's how they make it to seem.
So he was basically just a rodeo bowl
writer and he must not, either he's being humble or...
Yeah, either he's being humble or he just never took it as like this was a career and this
was maybe a side quest that he did.
Right.
But he clearly did it for an amount of time.
And now he has transferred into being an entrepreneur.
He owns two businesses, a tequila brand, which is not just straight tequila, he told me.
It is like a tequila, sell.
or drink, like packaged drink that he does.
Okay.
And then protein bars.
Protein bars.
Now, when we figure out, I think we need to get to know Farmer Brett a little bit more about
how this farming comes into his life.
But it sounds like maybe he grew up on a ranch of some sort.
He grew up around horses and animals.
So I'm interested to see how they tell us or sell us a little bit more on his farming
background because we haven't we didn't really get a whole lot in this which is funny because when he comes
out he's got he's got the boots the belt buckle the tie with the string the bowel the bowel
the hat i mean he looks more country western farmer guy than all of them really let's not forget
the way he says yes ma'am every single time Kimberly Williams paisley talks to him she goes she goes
are you ready to make your decisions brett yes ma'am
And then something else, yes, ma'am.
And these men, by the way, that is how they talk in real life.
I would be like, hey, can I have you sit over here?
Yes, ma'am.
Now, Bob, I'm not about to be called ma'am, but I'm not.
Or you're like, that's yes, miss.
Miss Monday.
Or Ms. I'm just like, ma'am.
Miss Monday if you're nasty.
That's like my grandma or something.
but I appreciate the fact that it is very chivalrous and gentlemen.
It's very mannerly.
It's very mannerly.
These are very well-mannered young men.
I will say that after spending a day with them and seeing them,
they're all very polite, all of them.
Even when Kathy Swartz was grilling them with questions,
they were all very caught off guard by,
but it was cute.
I highly suggest anybody go back and listen to those episodes.
but we we get to know uh so those are the farmers yeah and i like these guys you know i got to say like
i honestly in watching the show i i said this when we were we were just sort of recapping before we
even started taping was i thought i like these guys like i i think all three of them seem like really
genuinely nice guys you know and when you're kind of sitting there listening to them you're like
okay i get it i absolutely get it all good looking dudes um you know all different levels of success i'm sure
and probably different levels of farming experience.
But, you know, ultimately, you know, I'm rooting for all three of them right now.
So from that perspective, at this point in the show, we know they're going to meet each of their farms full of ladies, right?
So they've got each of them have nine ladies, which is an odd number.
Why not 10?
And they said this is the first time they've done that, that this is the most that these guys have had to choose from.
I will say I like all of them.
They all seem, they're all very attractive, nice young men.
From my producer's standpoint, my only issue is,
is I wish the background packages had a little bit more oomph.
And by oomph, I mean, I love a range of emotions, people.
This is my favorite kind of background package,
is if I can laugh a little, cry a little,
right, back to smiling a little bit.
By the time I've actually gotten to know all of them,
And so it's a little rough for me when I'm watching and I hear all of their background packages say extremely generic things in that.
I'm looking for my best friend.
I'm looking for somebody that's got a nice personality.
It's just like, that's great.
I want to know I haven't been able to find love on the farm.
Last girl I dated, cheated on me.
Now I'm ready to get back out there.
or from our older farmer,
I almost proposed to a girl.
Now, you know, looking back,
I don't even think I knew what love was,
but now as an older man,
I think I've really put myself out there.
I've learned some things.
And now I think I'm ready to get down on one knee and propose.
Like something a little bit more.
That's nice.
See, I like that.
Yeah.
A little bit more.
So, you know, that's my only complaint
is that it just feels a little flat to me
on the background packages.
but I really do like these guys.
And, you know, obviously, anybody who watched this first episode,
nine girls for each guy is a lot of women to get through.
So whereas on The Bachelor,
we have extremely long limo entrance nights
and we have all these kitsy things
and each girl gets her time on camera,
this is like, blink and you miss it.
Like we're going through,
we're doing mini dates and we're only getting to,
actually see three to four girls speak at a time. Right. Yeah. In fact, that's part of it, right?
Like they have these nine mini dates of which, man, if you're a first nighter on this particular
show and you don't do something magic, you are not, you're not even there. Because they don't
really show much interaction between the girls without, you know, having something to do with the guys.
They get into it relatively quickly as far as it goes from the standpoint of these nine mini dates. I mean,
we really only see, gosh, I think two or three of each of the guys, really, during that whole
timeframe of those dates.
So, but, you know, to that end, I mean, there are a couple moments that stand out, right?
I mean, there are a couple moments, I think that from these many dates that are kind of
jumping off the screen a little bit, like we've got the girl who was Miss Texas, Carson, right?
She comes out to meet her.
You know, it's funny.
I thought when she first came out, I thought, well, she was.
she's kind of cute. And then, um, you know, but after a little bit, I was kind of like, you know,
I have a thing with pageant girls though. So I always, yeah, I have a thing. Like, I always think,
um, I can't bring myself to believe a lot of the, because I just feel like everything's so rehearsed.
It's such a terrible thing to say. But when she came out and she's like, you know, but she gets the
camera out. She takes a picture with the camera, you know, the whole thing. And that was smart, man.
That was a smart move because he remembered that. He, you know, some of these people,
do these things and they remember it. It's pretty good.
Pagent girls in my experience are extremely poised and I've had to have several conversations
with pageant girls over the years being like, we got to drop the pageantry for this.
I got to get to know you. I got to get to know the real you, not the pageant you. So it can be
that's a great note because I think you're right. Like they come off. They're very polished,
obviously beautiful. I mean, that's without saying. Obviously. But it's like they come off and they
And they do. They kind of have everything is already worked out. Like they know what they're going to say.
They know how they're going to handle it. Everything is rosy. Everything is amazing when that's just not reality.
That's reality in a pageant, but that's not reality in real life. And so it sometimes can be very hard to get that vulnerable side of them.
And there's nothing wrong with being a pageant girl. I think that my mom was a pageant girl.
If anything, what it shows is the dedication to the pageantry work because that is,
is what I've had conversations about is undoing somebody's pageantry is what they've worked so
hard for. They have practiced so long to do this. They've paid so much money maybe to a pageant
coach who has taught them how to hold themselves and how to have conversations. So sometimes
I'm able to undo it in a matter of, you know, because for anybody who hasn't auditioned for a reality
TV show. You have a very limited amount of time with a casting director. You don't get to sit there
and warm up for two hours and have a therapy session with me. He's got to nail it. You got to kind of
nail it. And I've got the objection of what I just said. I'm trying to make you laugh. I'm trying to
make you cry. And I'm trying to do all of it in a very short amount of time. And if you're not able to
drop those walls, it can be very difficult. But for a show like this, where they're looking for
wholesome. They're looking for attractive. They're looking for very G-rated people. They might not get that
deep into it when it comes to the casting side. And I also just want to shout out. I have a couple
friends on the casting team for this show, who I absolutely love. So I'm also excited to be
watching it and recapping it just for the pure fact that I have friends that work very hard on
this show, which is great. I think Carson's really cute. I think she looks like,
Tom Hanks' wife, Rita Wilson.
Rita Wilson?
Interesting.
I think she looked like a young Rita Wilson.
I wasn't getting that vibe, but I was getting that she looks like someone.
So maybe that is it.
I'm not sure.
She was really cute.
Then we, you know, see on Farmer Brett.
He gets to go on a mini date with Hannah.
She brings him a wishing star, like a little star on a card.
And they make a wish.
And this was so funny because then she goes.
All right.
you first.
Tell me what your wish was.
And he was like, oh, no, we're going to, we're going to say these out loud.
I didn't think we were supposed to do that.
They didn't come true.
I just was like, I was like, this is, this is these guys, you know.
These guys are extremely reserved on this show for a majority.
They're very reserved in real life, by the way.
And so it was cute to have a girl, the first one, who's trying to already break the hard exterior shell, right?
She is like, no, open up to me, speak to me, tell me what's on your mind.
And that was cute, I thought.
It was a cute way to do it.
And what I liked about farmer Brett in this moment was immediately, he was like, you want to come back to the farm?
And that's not what you're supposed to do on this show.
I think he got himself in trouble.
We're supposed to build suspense.
We're supposed to make these girls squirm for the rest of the day, wondering.
And he goes, you want to go back.
And you could tell it on her face, she was like,
Can he do that?
Like, she was surprised too.
But it was cute.
And it was so cute.
This show should be called Farmer wants a brunette because there's a lot of brunette from this show.
There are a lot of brunettes on this show.
There's no question about that.

Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things.
I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain.
In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats.
I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside.
We're coming into this world fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside.
we're there to support and celebrate each other.
And that's not like your story versus my story.
You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain.
You're not just going to put your mind over it.
Yep, yep, exactly.
And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it.
Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app,

Then we get Lauren.
She likes Farmer Brett because he's older.
and to me she looks like Christina Aguilera.
Yes.
So Lauren, I mean, I thought this was interesting, right?
She's part of the Farmer Brett team, right?
And she gets her time to go out and talk.
You know, she's an ICU nurse from New York.
This is what I'm talking about, right?
This is what I'm thinking of?
Let me find her.
Hold on a second.
Yeah, that's her.
Oh, wait, no.
Is that her?
Yeah, that's her.
She's, I think she's, it's an ICU nurse.
let me read this. Yeah, I see you nurse from New York. She goes out to meet him, right? They have a
little exchange. And I don't know if you notice, but when she goes out to me, she's got a
stethoscope in her hand. I did not. The fact that you even clocked that she was a nurse,
I watched this show twice, you guys, and it never registered for me. She's carrying a stethoscope.
So I'm sure her initial deal, and maybe she did it, and they just didn't show it because it
didn't work out in that way or her.
She literally, I guarantee you, was going to put it in her stethoscope and be like,
let me see if your heart's beating or something.
But she even says, I didn't get butterflies from him.
So she comes back to the room and they're like, you know, oh my God, how did they go?
And she's like, mm-hmm, it was okay.
And it was just like, you know, yeah, he's nice.
But, you know, then she ends up, spoiler alert.
Could I spoil it?
I mean, if they're listening to this recap, let's hope you guys have watched the show by now.
because this whole thing is a spoiler.
She ends up bailing on our boy brat.
Like, it's like he's not my thing.
Well, she just overhears all the other women
talking about Farmer Braden.
Yeah, I think she gets kind of infatuated
with the Bradley Cooper, I believe they called him of farming.
Yeah, I mean, listen,
I think it's less about what these women were saying
if she was super honest.
Yeah.
She probably saw the farmers walk out.
And this goes back to what I've said about them
actually not choosing which farmer they go to.
This is a perfect example, right?
Yeah, you're right.
She saw those farmers for the first time during this episode.
She saw them all walk out.
And she was probably like, Farmer Brett, not my type.
Farmer Braden?
My type.
Because these conversations are so short and so quick.
This first night is, it's about looks, people.
this is, dating is about attraction and yes.
And that initial attraction.
And the initial attraction.
And that's where these decisions are being made.
And that's not me being, you know, cynical.
That's just how this is.
These shows are moving extremely fast.
These girls are not getting more than 10 minutes to talk to these guys.
And likewise.
And that's just how this is made.
Now, moving forward when they go back to the farm and they're getting
to spend more time with each other and those kinds of conversations,
that's when it's less, I think, superficial and it's more about are we in line with our
morals and values?
You know what I mean?
Right.
But like the girl that's challenging the guy to erase, that's her whole 10 minutes right there.
You know?
Yeah, exactly.
You don't know anything about her.
And Bob, you've, you know, been on the other side of this where you met so many women in one night.
You know that you probably couldn't even remember all their names, you know, by the end of this.
No.
crazy. I remember that. I'm sure. I actually, at the end of the night, I took notes. I really did.
I took, I took, this is going to sound crazy, but I took notes of each woman, even the ones I sent
home, especially the ones I sent home, what I remembered from our conversations. Because I, I wanted to,
like, and I sent them all a thank you card when I got home. Um, basically saying like, thank you.
He goes back to what I said. Bob has Riz. Bob's got the Riz and he's got the manners.
Well, I just felt like it was one of those things.
My wife sure does a good job of it.
But other than her, yeah, I guess so.
All right.
So Lauren, yeah, so Lauren kind of bucks the system, does her own thing.
Stephanie's up next model, right?
She's tall.
She comes out and she's like, I normally am dating younger than me.
And Brett's the first guy I'm dating that's older than me.
And they basically are like, you know, I think she's the one that makes the joke of like,
are you falling in love with me already?
Yeah, are we going to make out?
Are we going to make out?
And he's like,
well,
you can't do that yet,
man.
Can't do that yet.
Like so serious,
right?
On a typical dating show,
I think somebody would be like,
you got to buy me dinner first or something.
You know,
somebody would say something funny back,
but he was like,
can't do that.
I was like,
okay,
Farmer bread.
But I promise you,
things go well.
And this is when we get also
a shot of Heather Martin.
She doesn't even speak basically in this episode,
which was a little scary for me.
I'm not going to lie.
When I first watched this, I was like, oh, no.
Heather Martin doesn't even speak in this first episode.
I think she might be going home.
But that was a little editing trick.
They got me because he does not go home in this episode.
She gets invited back to the farm.
But maybe her little mini-date was Heather on.
She was on Colton's season.
And then she also attempted to join Matt James's season,
but she didn't end up,
he didn't like let her in or something.
It's been a minute, guys, since I watched that,
but she did not get on his season.
And then she also was on Paradise, I believe.
Wow.
So she is, listen, Bachelor Nation knows who she is.
You know, I'm actually intrigued to see if they will address that
at some point on.
this show. Yeah. Well, I feel like they should. I mean, you know, other than the, other than the
cross, uh, cross, uh, network type of promotion, but I feel like they should because at the end of
the day, you know, if I were her, there's a way you could spin that, I think, you know,
where you could say, I've seen a lot of successful relationships come off of this thing and,
you know, love it for sight, but none of those guys that they were casting as the bachelor, because
she, she could say this, you know, where, we're really for me. The girls could come after her,
though, saying that she's a clout chaser. So,
I think that's a double-edged sword,
but I will be interested to see if and how they address it on this show.
And then with Farmer Sean, we see Olivia,
and they connect because of their love for Montana.
And she has two businesses.
She says, one is woodworking,
the other is spray tans and lashes,
which I was like...
Beauty and wood.
I mean, it's all...
Woodworking.
I just, I really need to do more of a deep dive on a live.
Olivia and understand like how does she go from whittling to spray teats? Well, first of all,
I got to believe. I mean, she, she seemed to know her tools. Like she's like, yeah, I have a skill saw and I
have a jigsaw and all these different things. And he's like, well, damn. Like, he was impressed with that.
And it definitely resonated. And she's adorable. Oh my God. She is so cute. I was like,
I was like, this girl has an amazing, cute little personality in the
this little snippet that I'm getting to know her, I'm already liking what I see. Now, on the other hand,
then we meet Cameron, who's also adorable. The girls on this show are so cute. Super cute. I was
going to say that. The casting was great. Yeah, they're all really adorable. Cameron, you know,
says that dating in her hometown is hard. And then she, you know, says she's also a single mom.
She's got a four-year-old back home, and that adds like another layer.
She has a farm where she says she has 28 dogs.
28.
That's a lot.
That's a lot of dogs.
Yeah, I love dogs, but I don't love anything that much.
I will say the second she revealed she was a single mom, I knew it was going to be a pass.
Did you?
And I say that because farmer, Sean, is 22.
years old. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I wasn't thinking about that. That guy is he doesn't want. Yeah. He is not ready for that. I fully believe him when he says he's ready for a wife, but I believe this is the kind of man that is ready for a wife and then kids five years. In an order. Yeah. There's a timeline. I do not see. And there is nothing wrong with being a single mom. There is nothing wrong with going on a dating show as a single mom. I think it's beautiful. I kind of wish.
they'd partnered her with farmer Brett.
Yeah.
I was kind of annoyed that they gave her with,
they put her with the youngest one.
Because even Farmer Braden,
the thing is,
is that had she gotten,
had she been matched with Farmer Brett?
And let's say,
I can't,
we can pull up her age.
I don't remember it off the top of my head.
But she was,
she's young.
Here she is.
Cameron, 23.
23.
Okay.
So that would have been like a big age difference because Farmer Brett is 31.
So this is the thing, though, being a mom already makes her in a different playing field than all of these young girls because she's responsible for a life that she raises and everything.
That adds a huge level of maturity to you.
So putting her with the 22-year-old was a choice by the producers.
He wouldn't have been able to.
He probably, and let's be honest, you know, guys at 22 and women at 22, you know,
guys are still basically kids.
I'm sorry, but we are.
He's only been out of high school for a couple of years.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, that's just crazy.
I just feel like it was kind of a bummer to then see her have this like moment, right?
we talk about that there's only a couple of girls that actually get screen time in this first
episode. So this is another editing trick of you fall in love with this girl. You hear this whole
journey, right? Now, this is a full-fledged character to me. Yeah. Character. Contestant, she,
we now know that like her humble beginnings. We know that she's a mom. We know why she's on this
show because she lives in a small town and dating is difficult for being in a small town and being a
single mom. So now I'm invested in this journey for her. And then I have to be, you know,
with the sucker punch when I get to see her then go home at the end of this episode and bawling her
eyes out, you know, so producers knew what they were doing when they did that. But I knew the second
that she said single mom, I knew it was going to also be he's going to pass on this one.
For that reason, I think just because of the, he's just not there yet. Um,
But then that's when we get like quick montages of all the mini dates that we don't get to see.
And then we see Lauren what you said earlier.
She pulls the producer.
She says that she wants to meet Farmer Braden.
And they have a very awkward kind of encounter because they're like,
it's not going to be like a mini date like everybody else.
They just have to walk to each other in a field and kind of talk in the middle of the field.
And he's like, she's like, hi, like I wanted to meet you.
and he's like, thanks.
It's nice to meet you.
And it's just like, how'd it, ma'am.
It's just like super strange.
I guarantee you there was some really awkward silences in there that they edited it out because
it just seemed like they were both just sort of like sitting there looking at each other.
My favorite part is she says, I grew up in upstate New York and I go fishing and hunting all the time.
I got a crossbow with pink strings.
I am going to say that's a lie.
I'm sorry.
I'm going to call.
Call it on that one.
Christina Aguilera.
Because I think that you've maybe done those things when you were maybe a child growing up.
But I'm going to bet you don't do that every single weekend based on how manicured and put together you are.
Am I being rude by saying that you can't be manicured and put together and love hunting and fishing on the weekends?
Come for me.
Come for me.
I would love to know out there how many well-groomed women that clearly put an emphasis on how put together they are when they present themselves are out there hunting.
I just don't believe that.
I don't believe it.
I even think more about fishing.
Like for me, it's like, man, if I got, you know, she has on a nice outfit.
She's, you know, the likelihood of her putting a worm on a hook, come on.

Hey, earners, what's up?
Look, money is something we all deal with,
but financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth.
On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure,
we break down the conversations you need to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth,
we translate complex financial topics into real conversations everyone can understand.
Because the truth is, most people will never taught how,
money really works. But once you understand the system, you can start to build within it. That means
ownership, smarter investing, and creating opportunities not just for yourself, but for the next
generation. If you want to learn how to build wealth, understand the markets, and think like an owner,
earn your leisure is the podcast for you. Listen to Earn Your Leisure on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or

she's down to move anywhere.
And he says, well, you know, I live in Homer, Illinois.
I can't pick up the farm.
Oh, my God.
I don't even know where Illinois is.
And then she goes, I don't know where Illinois is.
Either she is a genius and read into it really quickly that he kind of likes, like, you know,
the dumb chick thing or.
No, Bob, you're giving her too much.
She's an ICU nurse, dude.
There is no way you can be an ICU nurse and not no basic geography.
I'm sorry.
Well.
You got to be.
smart. I can say this too. So I don't think she's playing dumb. And I don't think she is dumb because she doesn't
know where Illinois is on the map. I think, first of all, you can have your nursing degree and doesn't
mean you're actively a nurse. So it's not technically a lie to say in her bio that she is a nurse.
You've met her, haven't you? I have not. I'm not. So she could very well be an active
nurse. She could very well just have a active license and is not actually practicing being a nurse.
Right. Right now. She could be an influencer. She could be an aspiring influencer or decided she could be
a travel nurse like right now where she has a more flexible schedule. There's a whole myriad of things that she
could be doing. Now, I think that this not knowing where Illinois is on the map is going to haunt her that she said that.
people are going to now ask her every time they meet her if she knows where Illinois is on the Mac.
But good for her, she is going to know because after this first episode, she is chosen to go back to the farm.
So she is going to Illinois after this.
So she will know.
But that comment is what also further enforced in my mind that she does not hunt and fish.
Ah, interesting.
I just don't buy it.
So anyways, Christina Aguilera, Lauren,
we can't wait to see how you are on the farm next week
with all the other girls
because when it comes to the choosing at the farm ceremony,
inviting who comes back,
the girls in Farmer Braden's team are shocked.
I use air quotes when I say that.
Shocked that Lauren is now part of the group,
making their group 10, meaning five.
of them are going home versus four of them.
Yes.
That also felt extremely forced to me.
I don't think anybody cared.
It sounded very what we call Franken bite when you go back and listen.
Sort of chop it together.
It was a little choppy, chopy where it was like, Lauren, I can't believe she's here.
I can't believe Lauren is here.
This is crazy.
I don't want to ruin the magic for listeners who don't.
watch TV like you and I watch TV, having been on the other side.
But when somebody is saying something and you're hearing the audio and you're not seeing
lips move on screen, it can come from anywhere at any time.
It can come from anywhere at any time.
That is actually part of the contract that you sign when you go on all of these shows
is giving permission to the network and to the editors of this show.
show to use your voice and footage in whatever way that they want to. That is part of this. That is not
this show specific. This is every reality show has the ability to do this. And that is because
this were a couple of reasons. But Bob, you know this. There's no reshoots when it comes to a
reality show. So when they shoot it and it is done and in the can, they have to make a
what they can make from that.
Right.
You got to be able to make it work.
You got to make it work.
And if you're an actor and you're shooting a show or a movie or something and you're
going back and you're editing a scene and it's not working and we didn't get the right coverage
or the person's microphone wasn't working that day, I need you to go back and re-record or we
need to reshoot.
Reshoots are very expensive.
But that's how they do it in that world.
They don't have the ability to do that in reality TV.
and that doesn't make this any less real.
I don't want to, you know, put this out there that, you know,
reality TV is all fake and da-da-da-da-da.
It's not.
I always say this.
The conversations that occur and the emotions that people feel, those aren't fake.
Those aren't forced.
Exactly. Absolutely.
The situations that they are put in are very produced and manipulated.
And some people do it better than others, right?
Perfectly stated, Bob.
Yeah.
One of the things about The Bachelor that I always have said is the Bachelor producers,
at least in the time frame that I had done the show and for many after me,
were wonderful at producing romance.
They really were.
They were great at producing romantic situations, placing people in them,
somehow getting people to feel comfortable quickly and getting the conversations
that they probably had storyboarded out weeks before to hopefully have,
you know, those conversations take place based on what they knew about these individuals.
It's just master manipulation at its finest.
And I think that that's, if you think about it, then when people are like, well, all those
things are fake and stage.
No, those are different.
Fake and staged, they're different, right?
A staged situation can give you the context you want, right?
And so that's where I think these producers and the relationships they create with the cast
and, you know, that's where you're so good.
I mean, you're great at making connections with people right away and, you know,
feeling and making people feel comfortable. And when you have that ability to do that, you also have
the ability to get the desired responses out of people that you're looking for based on the
circumstances and the, and the chemistry. Wow, that's just like we practice that conversation.
Thank you so much. You did such a good job. Thanks for the notes. I was reading it off my time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was good. Just like you practice. Um, no, you're, you're absolutely right in
in what you're saying. And I will say that as producers,
we can hope and have things mapped out in our brains or, you know, as a team before we go into
something. But the beauty of reality TV is that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
And some of the craziest moments and things that end up happening on camera are not planned
or anticipated. And you have to roll with it in the moment. The crew has to roll with it. The people that
are in that, you know, scenario have to roll with it. And that's when you can get some really
memorable moments. And now when I look at this episode and I think, you know, okay, so here's what
we say, this is what's planned. The plan is, is that the girls meet the farmers. They each get
their little 10 minutes. That's the planned element. Now, how the conversation happens in those 10
minutes is less planned. Maybe unless they had like a gimmick that they were bringing into it or whatever.
camera or the camera or the challenging to a race and things like that.
That's pre-planned and that's usually approved.
But the whole farmer Brett saying you want to go back to the farm right now,
that was reality.
That was that guy being caught up in the moment.
And that is not producers telling him to do that.
But then producers can't go back and be like, yeah, you can't do that.
Un-inviter.
So, you know, that's reality.
And then the same thing when we, I want to say that when we see,
Lauren have her moment, not be interested in, you know, Farmer Brett and pulling a producer aside
and saying, I want to talk to Brayden. I want to believe that there is a reality element of that.
I'm going to leave it at that. I don't want to be too cynical and I don't want to nitpick,
you know, what people are doing.
No, but for them to have a camera, go back and follow her and catch that conversation with a producer
who was willing to be on camera. You bring it up. I mean, that's, that's the element where
I look at things a little bit differently than probably the average viewer and you too.
But yeah, it's the faraway shot of the conversation happening.
Now, that very well could have been real.
We could have maybe just had a very limited camera crew at the time because we've got
three station cameras.
We got one on each farmer.
We've got one back in the barn looking at the girls.
So we might have just been limited on cameras.
And it was just put that one on sticks, turn it around.
shoot, you know, long ways,
this conversation that's happening behind you.
Through the, yeah, you know what I mean?
So like, there's a,
there is an element that I'm like, I want to give them,
you know, I don't want to fault them if it was real,
but there is an element of it feeling
a little bit produced in the sense that, you know,
right, that's the controversy of the episode.
And we have to have something that goes a little off the rails
because then this forces far,
Brayden to then have to make a decision, but he also wants to be a gentleman.
So he has to go back to the boys and ask, you know, how do they feel about?
I like that. I like that. Of course. He's like I just met these guys.
Yeah. I mean, I think I'm sure that was as well. But I do think that, you know,
because I was even thinking about it. I was thinking, wow, I wonder if Farmer Brett's going to be,
you know, if he was into her, which he didn't seem like he was. No. But I actually,
I liked the fact that, uh, that was Braden, right? That Braden went back to Brett.
and Sean and was like,
hey guys,
here's where I'm at with this
and this happened.
And,
you know,
and he's like,
hey, man,
go for it.
You're good by me.
Which I thought that was a cool moment
because it allows us to now root,
still root for all three farmers.
Exactly.
As opposed to thinking,
oh, this dude's a little bit of a scammer,
you know,
or whatever,
even though he didn't do it.
And what have producers done in this episode?
They have set up for us that Lauren is going to be the villain.
Oh,
on her farm at least.
And so,
you know, it's an interesting way to start a season. We do get a preview. Well, actually, we'll just
talk really quick about who ends up going home. So, I mean, to the farm. So Braden chooses Casey.
She's actually my sleeper. She's my sleeper on this show. Okay. I actually, I think her conversation with
him was so easy. I don't know if you, if you recall, but they were, she was making him laugh. She was
very chill. She was very pretty, very put together, but had a lot of confidence. But at the same
time nothing seemed overly animated to me. So I'm just, I'm saying that up front that I think Casey is
going to be, um, a contender on this one. Okay. And then he takes Brittany, Cameron, Carson and Lauren. So that's
a lot of Cs for, uh, for Farmer Brayden. And then Farmer Sean takes Emily, Olivia Carson,
Ali, Beth, and Macy,
meaning this is when we find out
he sends home the single mom, Cameron,
who we got to know fairly well.
And then Farmer Brett, we already know he invited Hannah back.
He also brings back Quinn, Cassie, Heather Martin,
and Stephanie.
And then that's when Kimberly Williams-Haisley
says that each farmer now gets to choose one
out of his five women to go back to the farm early,
have some uninterrupted alone time.
And I think this is really the telling moment, right?
Because now they've got to choose the one that they quote unquote like the most or
are most intrigued by.
And that's when Sean chooses Olivia.
Olivia, we said, was the one that has a woodworking business as well as lashes
and spray tans.
And then Brett has Cassie.
And she is the girl who challenged him to erase that.
He never really got to see.
So that was kind of interesting
because he had such a spark with Hannah.
You would think that that would be the one
he would take home first.
But something about Cassie.
And then Brayden chooses Carson.
And Carson is the one that had the camera.
And she was the first one that he met.
So she's very cute, Miss Texas.
Yeah.
So then we see.
Two time Miss Texas.
Two time Miss Texas.
She's got a lot of pageantry in her, that one.
Then we get a preview of the season.
we see, like I said, you know, the girls moving into the farms, lots of kissing.
Sean saying to one woman, a lot of the girls view you as very strategic.
Strategic.
Can't, I'm guessing.
I'm trying to figure out who, because I can see it.
If Braden was saying that, I think he would be saying that to Lauren, right?
You know, but you've got Sean saying it, hmm, I don't feel like we've gotten to know his ladies well enough yet to know which one they might be saying.
that about. Exactly. And then
Carson saying that there's
a target on her back
and then we see lots of crying
and then we see Brett
saying, this farmer
found a wife.
So I don't, you know, it'll be
interesting. I'm actually, I want
to know what the listeners think that have watched
maybe the show in the past or
even if you're watching it for the first time. I can
say that last season, all four
farmers, none of them got
engaged at the end of their season.
So I'd be interested to see if somebody actually proposes because I don't know if you remember this from season three.
But later on in the season, they brought back people from season one or two or something that were married to come and meet them.
To come and talk to everybody.
So I don't know how they would navigate that this season because I'm fairly positive.
They all broke up from last season.
Yeah.
Yeah, we know Matt and Chelsea did.
I know, I know Farmer John did.
I know, and I don't even think the other two even had anything going after the cameras rolled.
Right.
So, yeah, I'm interested.
But overall, Bob, what would you say?
Are you into this show?
You're feeling it?
I am.
I am excited about, would you say?
You know, listen, I am.
I am as jaded as the next guy when it comes to this.
But there is a bit of a wholesome quality to this show that I do find appealing.
Like I was sitting there watching it, you know, thinking to myself, like, I'm rooting for these people.
I really am.
And I think that it's not just, you know, I mean, I root for everybody on The Bachelor.
I root for everybody on The Bachelor.
I really do.
I genuinely root for everybody.
But it's one of those moments where I was like watching this show and I thought, man, I feel like, you know, I think you've heard me say this.
But when people say, oh, are they here for the right reasons?
My response has always been, well, what are the right?
right reasons to go on a reality dating show. Like, you know, what are the right reasons? Um,
because I don't know. I don't know what those right reasons are. But I think that when you watch a show like
this where it's kind of like they are kind of rooting for each other. Yes, you're going to have that
same type of competitiveness. It's going to come out and some people later in the, in the thing. But
it's starting off at least with a pro, you know, happy type of, you know, environment. And I'm hopeful that
that continues for a little bit because there are a few people on this show.
Like there's that,
I think her name is Ali Beth.
Is that her name?
Hang on a second.
What is?
Yeah, Ali Beth,
who I'm like,
oh my God,
this woman seems like she's too sweet to even be real.
You know what I mean?
So part of me is like,
I hope they,
I hope that they connect,
you know,
or whatever.
Olivia,
like you said,
the woodworker seemed like they had a really genuine connection.
So it'll be,
it'll be interesting to see.
And I would love to see,
you know,
I would love to see some people come off of this.
thing with an opportunity at least to explore it a little further. But I'm in right now. I mean,
I actually, I'm liking the vibe. I'm excited to see the farm, you know. Maybe it's the fact that
there's no like catchphrase really. Like, you know, you won't come back to my farm. It's just not a
catchphrase to me. Like I think it should be like, you know, would you lock the reins?
You know, or something like, can I give you the reins with my horse? I don't know. I don't know
what you is that. We got to work it out. Can I hand you my rake? I don't know what the farmers could
give that would be, you know, a welcome back to my farm thing because the saying,
do you want to come back to my car farm is just not working for me? Are you ready to DTF?
Yeah. That means down to plow. Are you ready to plow? Are you ready to plow? Are you
DT? Are you DT? Are you DT? Are you DTF? Oh, yeah. I'm that too. Yeah, I also like farming.
What? You could you could get some good answers out of that. I like that. DTF. I like that.
This show is cute. I will say for anybody,
that listen to our recaps of Love Overboard.
This is like straight up whiplash
because this is the complete opposite of that show,
which was, you know, making out and foul language
and drinking and alcohol and craziness.
This is not that.
And I think that, you know, for me,
as much as I've worked on the other side of things,
it's not always the case for people that have done what I do,
but I'm obsessed with reality TV.
And I love it.
And I know how the sausage is made.
and I still love it.
And it's what I consume on a regular basis.
It's actually crazy.
So many people that you and I work with love scripted shows.
And I just really pull one, maybe a year or two.
And I really love reality.
And I love seeing people fall in love on TV.
I think it's so special and so sweet.
And so, you know, I'm rooting for this season after a special
getting to meet the guys. I'm rooting for them. I think they're all such nice men. Um, so I'm excited
about this. I like that you met them and liked them. That makes me feel even better about
doing this because I, I want to like these guys. And I, and I do so far. And I, and I, I, I like a
lot of their ladies, too. Like, I feel like, you know, as we get to know these ladies, too,
I think it's going to be, um, a lot more fun to get invested in the, in the way this whole thing goes.
And, you know, hey, man, we got three strikes, right? So we got three chances to at least get one
love connection on this whole thing. I feel like maybe if nothing else, that's the best part about
these odds that we have going with three farmers is maybe we get two thirds. Maybe we get all three
and it's a trifecta. I don't know. But at the end of the day, I mean, one out of three ain't bad,
right? So I'm pulling for that to get me out of the gates. Exactly. Well, listeners, tell us about
what you're loving about this show or even what you're not loving. And Bob and I will be back
every single week bringing you Farmer Wants a Wife Season 4 Recaps.
Thanks, Bob.
I can't wait.
Thank you so much, producer, Heather.
