Starting point is 00:02:33 Thanks for having us. Thank you for being here. So you guys, today we're recording this, January 17th, and tomorrow, January 18th is your 10-year wedding anniversary. Congratulations. Thank you. Yeah, we made it. 10 years.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Such a successful bachelor couple. Are you guys number two in line with Trista and Ryan? No, there's well, I mean, there's the Mexics. Oh, the mezzanex, okay, yes. John and Catherine are a year before you? Ben and Catherine, yeah. So we're the
Starting point is 00:03:08 fourth. Yeah. That's not as cool. Like, being second was going to be awesome and now you're like, yeah, we're four. Yeah. Yeah. We're down a lot a little bit. Do you guys have big plans for the tenure? No, we don't because we just had no us.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Oh, we're kind of in the thick of a new born so we're going to be going to Hawaii at the end of the month so we're like let's just and we'll just plan on that being some sort of you know celebration that's 100 for that 100% counts that brings up my first question because I'm going to make this about me for a second congratulations thank you uh we are like a month away less than a month away from our from the very first oh wow we have the most kids no you don't Sean and Catherine too are tied with you
Starting point is 00:03:57 Oh yeah John and Catherine have three And we're second thanks Yeah second I Tonight actually Jessica and I are going for
Starting point is 00:04:07 very nice dinner date Because we kind of assume It's going to be One of our last Before babies here Give me any advice you have You have three And so it changes a lot
Starting point is 00:04:21 I bet But when you guys look at your relationship, keeping any type of, like, romance or just you time together, how do you two do it? Or do you not? You just ask. I didn't understand the joke for a second. I think that is the most perfect way of saying it. We definitely utilize family. We moved back from Seattle to Portland area. And we've got her parents now live here. My parents live here. My brother lives here. And so if we need a break, thankfully, we like our family and they're willing to watch the kiddos. Talk. Keep talking. It's going to get hard. It's definitely harder, right? But it's also super fun.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Yeah. Are you tired right now? So I'll let you know a little secret. I feel great. I feel great. Dad is sleeping in the baby's room. So I feel great. Yeah. That's a strategy, Ashley. I don't think we've talked about this yet. that was advised to Jessica and I, and that Jessica was the one that said she wanted to do. It's the sleeping arrangement. She wants me to sleep in a separate room for the first, like, five weeks,
Starting point is 00:05:37 and we're going to do, like, a shift thing. Like, I get six hours straight asleep, wake up, care for the baby for, like, four or something, whenever she knows that hopefully, you know, the baby doesn't need to be feeding and get, like, she's going to get four solid hours of sleep uninterrupted. and then like we're going to kind of do that through the evening because her philosophy was like there's no use of us both being tired
Starting point is 00:06:00 one of us should be tired but the other one should like try to get as much rest as possible does that make sense to everybody yeah yeah that was perfect yeah because we you know this is our third and we didn't do that with our other two because we didn't really did we have an extra room babe i don't even remember if we definitely didn't have a bed in the baby's room and we I mean, we had a guest room, but I guess we just didn't utilize it. And so with the third, I was like, I can't handle when we both aren't getting sleep because then, like, you're both just honestly at your worst and kind of like short and, you know, it just causes tension that's not necessary. And so I was like, you know, I'll just go in the baby's room because we have a Murphy bed because it used to be a guest room. And so it's actually been amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Yeah, so you'd recommend it. I would recommend it. I've even been trying to transition back to our room. And, like, I'm just not sleeping as well because the monitor, like, will go off. And he's, like, faking me out with, like, rolling over. Like, you know, the fake out to the monitor is actually the killer to me. I still have this, like, every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Yeah. How old is your young guy? He'll be. six months in a couple days. Yeah, so you're still in it too. Yeah. I, Jared and I haven't been as good this time around because he
Starting point is 00:07:32 kind of, he kind of falls asleep during feedings, so I'd take the, I'd just take the nighttime. Yeah, I mean, I just make the nighttime, Chris, so that Chris can, so that Chris can handle the other boys, because he wakes up earlier, he makes breakfast, he does all the
Starting point is 00:07:48 things, so that I can just sometimes get a little extra sleep. Yeah, I'm the one who prefer to sleep in. Agreed. And catch up that way. So interesting. This is so fun.
Starting point is 00:08:01 What a cool time of life. Look at us. We're holding babies, talking about babies, and talking about this wild show that you two met on. Now, before we dive into your story, I think we should all comment as much as we feel comfortable about the topic I'm about to bring up. But my wife last night, who does. doesn't really follow the show and has very little interest in the show goes,
Starting point is 00:08:25 what is this about? Because she loves these people. There was a headline about Trista and Ryan having marital problems. Do we know anything about this? Is this a story now? Is this just like rumors? What do we know? Is this residual from the whole special words and stuff?
Starting point is 00:08:42 She like spoke out on it yesterday. Did she really? Yeah. Well, I didn't understand because obviously I love them both and follow them both, but I didn't even understand where the, it first, came from. Like, why did people all speculate? Oh, because he was writing these very weird posts
Starting point is 00:08:58 on Instagram while she was away filming special forces about her like being away from the family for so long, but her needing to like do and do this for herself and explore and challenge yourself and it was all cryptic because nobody really knew it was special forces. He was
Starting point is 00:09:14 like writing diary entries online. Yeah. He was probably doing that because she would see it or because they probably didn't have their phone. I think he was like venting. Yeah, I think he was trying to be like sweet, you know, like Chris does, like nice notes and a lot of love like language to you
Starting point is 00:09:32 to like make sure that you know he's thinking about you. Exactly. Yeah. But Ben, we have confirmation here from our producer. It was just a recirculated rumor from those whole special forces diary entries. Let's shut it down here on the almost famous podcast because Trista works for the almost They are the cutest. They're doing great.
Starting point is 00:09:54 They've got a strong relationship. They're bold. Yeah. Good. I love it. Okay. Now on to you two. Ashley, take it away.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Okay. So you guys, what has been the... Yeah, kind of like still in the baby thing. You've been married 10 years now. Thanks to the show. What was the most difficult point of your relationship? Was it coming off the show? Was it the first kid, the second kid, the third kid?
Starting point is 00:10:19 I don't know. I feel like it might be different answers for each of us. I love that even more. Yeah. For me, it was definitely coming off the show because it was like, it's just a lot, as you guys know. It's just a lot to deal with people and the expectations and the pressures and like while you're also navigating a new relationship. Like, that's enough in itself. So to have all the other like eyes on you, it was really, really difficult for me.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Because I'm also like super introverted and reserved and I don't like people in my business, which, you know, that made it hard with being public. But I don't know. I think for me that was the hardest because it was navigating a new relationship. And I was in a new location, trying to meet new people. Chris was busy with work. And so when you come off of the show, you're now introduced to each other's, like, daily quirks and also daily stresses.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And I think in any relationship, regardless of coming off the show or not, you're still working on how each other communicate and all of those different things. So, yeah, definitely right off the show. Yeah, I remember when Des and I first got off the show, we would be going on walks in Seattle around this certain lake, Green Lake,
Starting point is 00:11:45 and I'd have to be like, don't read comments, right? of what people post because it really got to hurt. You know, people are psycho, is what they say. And so that was definitely a stressor. I think for me, you know, we moved in together right away. I was at the beginning stages of my career, which is, you know, sales and it can be stressful. So just balancing, like having someone around 24-7, right, in a relationship, engaged, having the social pressures around you.
Starting point is 00:12:25 But I think mostly just like starting off in your career and you're like, all right, we're engaged, here we go, let's rock and roll. You're moving into the city and I want to make it as comfortable as possible. That part was kind of probably the hardest part. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly. I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
Starting point is 00:12:58 This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
Starting point is 00:13:18 He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hola, it's Honey German, and my podcast,
Starting point is 00:13:39 Grazacus Come Again, is back. This season, we're going even deeper into the world of music and entertainment. With raw and honest conversations with some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities. You didn't have to audition? No, I didn't audition. I haven't audition in, like, over 25 years. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:13:54 That's a real G-talk right there. Oh, yeah. We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture shifters, sharing their real stories of failure and success. You were destined to be a start.
Starting point is 00:14:10 We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs, and those amazing vibras you've come to expect. And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles,
Starting point is 00:14:21 and all the issues affecting our Latin community. You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching? I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me. But the whole pretending and code, you know, it takes a toll on you. Listen to the new season of Grasasas Come Again as part of my Cultura podcast network on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:43 What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a match? maximum security prison, or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth. Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you. Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs that mimic military basic training. These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline,
Starting point is 00:15:16 physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs. Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months. The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you. And we didn't know what to expect in the morning. Nobody tells you anything. Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:15:43 A foot washed up a shoe with some bones in. it. They had no idea who it was. Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable. These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. A small lab in Texas is cracking the code on DNA. Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny you might just miss it.
Starting point is 00:16:16 He never thought he was going to get caught. And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. On America's Crime Lab, we'll learn about victims and survivors. And you'll meet the team behind the scenes at Othrum, the Houston Lab that takes on the most hopeless cases to finally solve the unsolvable. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:16:40 or wherever you get your podcasts. it's interesting to me and tell me if I'm crazy here and actually I think you'll be the one that with the biggest opinion on this the bachelor does this bachelor and bachelorette kind of have this very if you look back on it similar kind of vibe for like six seasons right so six there's like a six season span where so many things feel similar the people feel similar yeah you know the generations generations you've very much get to see a very like clear identifier of of what the generation looks like from the show um because i'm thinking about your story and chris like you never stopped really working i mean you obviously went on the show but you you continued your career meznik did the same thing i don't know necessarily what sean did at the time uh but you all kind of have feel like you had this same philosophy like i'm on the show to meet somebody i've met somebody uh now let's make this thing work beyond kind of let's do all these other things on top of it that could be distracting
Starting point is 00:17:50 to this relationship would you agree with that statement that that kind of marked your time on this show and the people kind of that were around you 100% yeah 100% um one of the biggest things that we we attribute our success to was getting out of the limelight pretty quickly right like we you know a lot of people you know to their credit or fault they'll they'll want to move to L.A. They'll want to get into the limelight. And it's like, look, I wasn't famous before or famous, like Z-list. Let's go. Almost famous. Almost famous. Oh, my gosh. So we weren't, you know, really looking for that before. And then it happens. And you're like, well, I don't need to move to pursue something that I wasn't trying to pursue before. So we thought that we're moving
Starting point is 00:18:40 ourselves from that situation right like getting into normal lives and seeing if that would work was probably one of the biggest reasons of our success we didn't chase something that we weren't comfortable with at the time was that was that a clear conversation that the two of you had together like do you remember having those conversations yeah on the show oh yeah we talked about like location and like where we would go it was kind of a big thing because they kind of made it a thing we were like Chris has an ultimatum right like will she move and it was a big question that I had to ask her because I'm like look I can't move with California um I've got this thing that I think might work out in Seattle are you willing to move and so there's a little bit of a
Starting point is 00:19:23 hype around that right but yeah I think um I think honestly we didn't really need to talk about like oh hey do you want to be famous after this because like we both didn't even like expect like we had no expectations going into the show and like we also like didn't want that like fame was never a driving thing like i honestly it was a surprise i even got on the show like my friends were so shocked because i'm not like i just never have ever wanted that attention i don't even like attention in small groups so it was really interesting and i think it just that's a testament to why it worked because we weren't pursuing outside attention, you know, and there wasn't that competitiveness for attention that I think happens now where, like, the lead and whoever
Starting point is 00:20:21 they choose, like, there's a lot of opportunity. And if they aren't in that opportunity together and one is getting maybe more attention, like it can cause, I think, some friction. Yeah. There's the comparison to today, too. I think with a lot of contestants, leads coming off the show, it's kind of looking at what others have done. And to some people's credits, they've done incredible things based on the show. And now you have that example of people who have made a living, made a career, made a name for themselves, and they came from the show. But that also sets a whole new standard, right? We don't all look around and say, oh, everybody's kind of doing the same thing. I have to pause here. Chris, this is a question for you. Des just did something I don't even know it was. I'm sure her and Ashley. She did a great job at it. I'm not so skilled. Yeah, kangaroo pouch while she's talking without looking. If there ever a moment, because I'm in this right now with my wife,
Starting point is 00:21:25 seeing her just carry a baby and care for this baby that's still inside of her and think about this baby and talk to this baby. It's wild. And it, I'm falling more in love. with Jessica, but I don't even want to say it that way. I'm just like in more in awe. I think at this point, like, oh my goodness, how in the world did I meet somebody who's able to do this? And Ashley, I'm sure Jared has these moments with you, so to go to you too. But Chris, going back to the- Sorry. He feels like that with me with the children, when he sees me with the children, not when I was pregnant. No moments of that while I was pregnant. He's like, can this thing come out of her already um chris is there ever a moment for you i mean i'm sure there is where you sit
Starting point is 00:22:10 back and you're like how in the hell did this work out the way it did and i'm watching so many things i love and this woman care for these like just walk us through what your emotions are as you watch does do stuff like that and you meant on a show yeah it's crazy i mean the whole the whole female having a baby thing is just absolutely insane right And, you know, Des, you know, to her credit is, I don't want to say a warrior because I don't know if that's the right word, but she's had, she's had three natural births and she's had two of them at home. And just to like see that gives me a greater appreciation for her and her strength, right? And her ability to just, you know, what Ben and I would say sack up, right? Like, she is, it's so impressive that she can do this.
Starting point is 00:23:05 And yeah, I mean, I am definitely, what would be the word? I'm a, I think it brings me closer to her just because the fact that she's, I mean, on the daily, she's right now helping with three boys, right? Like, I'm at the office up, you know, more now, but she's taking care of three kids. I get home and it seems like everything's controlled, right? And it's just, it looks great. And then she'll be like, she'll give me the yes or no. She's like, no, today was nuts. Or yeah, today's going fine, right?
Starting point is 00:23:42 And just to be able to manage all that, right? It's attractive and it's, I'm just impressed. Because me, okay, so for me, after baby number one, when we had baby number one, I would lose it. Yeah. I would lose my mind. like because i don't be really well with loud noises unless it's like music so everything but music or everything yeah um and so you know asher would we had a rough time with asher at the
Starting point is 00:24:11 beginning where he would cry a lot and we just kind of figure it out and and that maybe this is a good piece of advice if you want it right with maybe one if baby cries a lot do not uh just say I'm out, you got this. It doesn't go well. Yeah, he can't handle like the, you know what? I think it's hard for fathers because men want to
Starting point is 00:24:37 control, like, you know, like you want to be able to help. You want to be able to fix the problem. You want to be able to like problem solve. And you can't really do that with a newborn. You know, it's typically the newborn wants the mom. They want to
Starting point is 00:24:53 want to feed. They want all of that. And I think it's, you know, there's like that overwhelmed that can bubble up because you're just like, I can't control this situation. So, so true. Yeah. There's a, so one thing I would absolutely 100% suggest is if like I would go into the other ribbon and like, all right, I'm going to go try and help them, right? Asher. And then I couldn't figure out. I couldn't get him to calm down. So you put them on the ground. you never put them on a table you never put them up high you always put them on the ground because they can't roll off of anything when they're on the ground but i used to be like ground you know carpet whatever and i'm like i can't do it i can't figure it up i don't know
Starting point is 00:25:37 i know sometimes the answer is just mom mom you know and there was an awesome post the other day and um this kind of links back to what you what you said about like how we we kind of just pulled out light and then today it's a little different we we were on the class of social media so like yeah we didn't have that social pressure as much it was 2013 right and so i mean things were just getting going and so we didn't have the same uh social pressures as i would say people do now and maybe want to go on the show to to to gain something but this post i saw was great it was like um i forget it's like bad vibes or i don't know which one it is but they said like you know baby isn't crying because they're mad
Starting point is 00:26:23 at you. Baby's crying because they need you and that's the only way they can communicate, right? Or like, baby's not intentionally staying up all night to like make us upset. It's because something's going on and their only way to communicate is to call you out or, right, cry again, right? Like so, and it's such a short window of time until, you know, you can start picking up on their cues and figuring out what's going on, right? It's, you know, I don't know, Ashley, like, maybe six, eight, ten months. And then you're like, okay, this is probably what's going on. And then once they can start talking and, like, communicating, it just gets better and better.
Starting point is 00:27:01 But I thought it was a good post to kind of bring back into perspective. Like, it's not baby's fault. Like, they're just that they're upset. It's that they don't know how to communicate with us. And then we're like, why are you crying? We're like, why won't you go to sleep? It's like, because they want you. Or they want mom.
Starting point is 00:27:17 They only know mom for their entire life. I also saw this is this helped when the boys were younger um too was like even with marriage um it was like it's not what the kids do it's how you react to it that really can affect communication in a marriage it can affect the way you see your partner it can affect obviously the children themselves but um i don't know i always thought that was good because it goes along those same lines of, you know, it's not them, it's how you are reacting to it that can cause the stress or cause, um, the, you know, the little like snapping at each other, you know, because it's just out of frustration.
Starting point is 00:28:05 So it's like, how do you handle frustration? How do you handle noise? How do you handle the overwhelmed, the lack of sleep and, you know, I think we all have to work on ourselves in those areas, especially patience. I got like a one month to figure this out. yeah yeah just get a group just get a group chat you're gonna say you can't really train yourself for this you won't know until you're in it yeah it's like it's like on the ground training you know boots on ground like you'll be totally you will be fine but you and just will feel friction that you've never felt before yeah Jared and I like never had like a single like we would never even bicker before kids hmm I bicker just for fun I think it's just like I feel like sometimes I'm just like I need the bicker I'm like, what am I looking for here? Let me find something.
Starting point is 00:28:55 I don't do that during this person. You might see a side of her that you've never seen before. I've seen it. Mama Bear comes out now. That's wild. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK. story time podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both
Starting point is 00:29:49 to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance
Starting point is 00:30:05 bro? Tell you how to manage your money again. Welcome to Brown ambition. This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards. If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now. When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
Starting point is 00:30:23 I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months
Starting point is 00:30:41 you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. that's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. Listen to Family Secrets, Season 12, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hola, it's HoneyGerman, and my podcast, Grasasas Come Again, is back. This season, we're going even deeper
Starting point is 00:32:07 into the world of music and entertainment, with raw and honest conversations with some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities. You didn't have to audition? No, I didn't know. I haven't auditioned in like over 25 years. Oh, wow. That's a real G-talk right there.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Oh, yeah. We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture shifters sharing their real stories of failure and success. You were destined to be a start. We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs, and those amazing vivras you've come to expect. And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles, and all the issues affecting our Latin community.
Starting point is 00:32:48 You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching? I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me. But the whole pretending and code, you know, it takes a toll on you. Listen to the new season of Grasas Has Come Again as part of My Cultura Podcast Network on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. but we do want some rapid-fire questions. I'm always interested in this. So we've been doing this thing on the Almost Smith podcast.
Starting point is 00:33:21 It's been really fun. We've been interviewing past bachelors leading up to grant season of the bachelors. So we've had bachelors from way back, 20-plus years ago to, you know, more recent bachelors. And we've just been talking to them about their experience, what the show's done for them, what the show's experience. We've talked a lot about what the show's done for you.
Starting point is 00:33:39 But the big question I'm always curious about, because I never did, really. Have you two watched your season? and back? Wait, Chris has and does it. That's a very funny switch. No.
Starting point is 00:33:55 No, you haven't watched it back since 2013, 14. Oh, yeah, we watched it. Gone back on iTunes. No. Yeah, of course not. No, during, though. I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:06 During. You had to blog about it. And so every happy couple, we would decide if we were going to watch the episode together, or not and you'd be like yeah we're not going to watch this one right or yeah let's watch this one
Starting point is 00:34:19 yeah yeah I kind of even then chose not to watch a lot it was more clip it clips and scenes but you guys haven't gone back there hasn't been a moment or desire or even a conversation of like should you just go back and watch like this episode or
Starting point is 00:34:38 this moment not really you're not really we're so far induced from it And I feel like you become such different people than when you were 10 years ago. So it's, it will be interesting to go back. We thought about even going, we haven't even watched our wedding videos because like the raw. We're doing that tomorrow, I thought.
Starting point is 00:34:58 I know. That's what I want for our tenure. Oh, you're so sweet. Yes, we are going to, we're going to go back through. So maybe we'll also choose to go back through the season. Yeah. Proposal. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:10 I mean a proposal because that's, I feel like that's the most. shown snippet. So, yeah, we obviously see that one when it's posted. Coming out of the limo, somebody should make this for you for your 10 year.
Starting point is 00:35:25 A season of just the two of you where everybody else is clipped out in any conversation about anyone else is clipped out, but it's just all of your footage together. That'd be great. That'd be legit. I had to do a, I gave a presentation
Starting point is 00:35:38 last weekend. The person who asked me to present was like, you know, I want you to talk about your season. And I'm like, man, I don't, I don't think they're going to want to hear about it. And he's like, it's just, I promise you, they will. And so I did go back to just pull a couple clips last two weeks ago from YouTube. And it's crazy what people put together. You're like, you're like, what?
Starting point is 00:36:00 You spent time doing it. But it's cool. Yeah, it's cool. Yeah, it's very sweet. And then I'm like, why were my jeans so baggy? the uh just and i watch our wedding video on our anniversary um chris i don't necessarily know how emotional you are uh i lose it so just have fun doing that because like there there's always one moment one speech uh or something
Starting point is 00:36:32 that just like all of a sudden makes me go yep it's over um it's sweet you guys should i think it's a great habits to get into my mom's always like Ashley Dawson wants to watch your wedding video doesn't want to watch your wedding like mom I have to keep it special I can't just casually watch it on YouTube in the background yeah instead of blueie he's watching here he really does he does enjoy it it's very cute but I'm like I can't like have that as his new as like exactly his new show mom and dad love each other that's so sweet well I I really want to wish you guys the happiest of anniversaries. What an amazing example. What an amazing season you're in. Keep crushing it. It's so fun to catch up with both of you and just hear about your lives today. It's very exciting,
Starting point is 00:37:25 I think, for all the listeners, and especially for Ashley and myself. So, yeah, keep us updated. Ashley. I just have one last thing to throw in there. When I last saw you guys, it was at the Golden wedding and I was pregnant and kind of just like I was like I'm pregnant and I'm pregnant and you are very very sweet were you guys trying at the time no that's a good question because that was the timing that was right it was right after the golden batch we got pregnant um I think always trying no you're just always practicing yeah Chris is just in it it that golden wedding must have been romantic then it must have really fun you guys i have such a blast i was like the older you get the more fun you have because you like don't care what like anyone else thinks and you're just like
Starting point is 00:38:17 we had a blast it was awesome that was a lot of fun yeah so yeah we got pregnant right close to after that you did yes yeah not we're you did yes you did wow that's crazy yeah i think it was a conversation we had been having a conversation for the last year because, you know, our age gap was getting kind of further and further and further with the boys. And so we're like, you know, there's a lot of the why we shouldn't. And then there was like the, well, you'll never regret it. And so we decided. Yeah. And how did you feel when you found out it was a third boy? You are just overwhelmed with boys, does I'm okay with it I only know boys so it's like
Starting point is 00:39:02 you know I of course we wanted to look at Chris he's like he really wanted a girl I wanted a girl for sure and when we went and got our first old set I was like ah okay but immediately I was like all right
Starting point is 00:39:18 we got to force them so we're going to be good so this is good we'll book to tea time we'll all compete see I'm starting out little girl and I have a feeling I might be in the opposite like, yeah, I have a feeling I might be in the opposite
Starting point is 00:39:32 camp where I'm like one day looking back, I'm like, hell no, hell did this happen in my life. Yeah, I can see Ben having three girls because I think he's Danny Tanner. Oh, isn't he? And he doesn't have three girls. Yes, I love that. Well, it's your fault, Ben.
Starting point is 00:39:48 I found out on the third that it's the man that decides to sex. You found that out on the third child. You didn't know that? I was today years old when I just learned that. Are you effing joking me, you two? Did you test science? No. Are you talking science right now?
Starting point is 00:40:06 Do you guys take biology in high school? And college. And college. There's a lot of things I forget, Ashley. Hey, you guys are the best. Thanks for coming on the Almost Famous podcast. Until next time, I've been Ben. I've been Ashley.
