This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, it's Edwin Castro, also known as Castro 1021.
And I'm Kunky, his best friend and business manager.
And we've got a new show called The 1021 podcast.
I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers.
We also love sports.
And with the World Cup right around the corner,
we'll be breaking down the biggest storylines ahead of the big tournament here in the U.S.
Listen to the 1021 podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You know the famous author, Roald Doll.
He thought up Willie Wonka and the BFG.
But did you know he was a spy?
Neither did I.
You can hear all about his wildlife story in the podcast, The Secret World of Roll Doll.
All episodes are out now.
Was this before he wrote his stories?
It must have been.
What?
Okay, I don't think that's true.
I'm telling you.
I was a spy.
binge all 10 episodes of The Secret World of Rolled Doll.
Now on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hi, I'm Iris Palmer, host of the Against All Odds podcast.
Every week, I'm sitting down with exceptional people who have broken barriers,
even when the odds were stacked against them.
Like chef Victor Villa of Vias Tacos.
You know the taquero from the Bad Bunny halftime show?
It was great.
It was a big moment.
It was special.
And I felt like I was really representing my family, you know, my brand, my city.
I was representing all taqueros,
not only of like, you know, the U.S., but of Mexico and beyond,
all the taqueros of the world.

This financial literacy month,
we are talking about the one investment most people ignore,
building a business around the life you actually want.
It was just us, making happen whatever he said was going to happen,
and then it happened.
On those amigos, entrepreneurs like America Sam and Joe Hafe,
get real about money, taking risk,
and while your dream might be the smartest move.
At the end of my life, what am I really going to care about?
And the conclusion I came to is what I did to make the world a better place in whatever way.
Listen to those amigos on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHartRadio.
It's the almost famous podcast.
And as always, we're here to support all of our fellow Bachelor Nation contestants.
Recently, we've been breaking down Alex Cooper's Unwell Winter Games
because Joe and Serena have taken a part in those Winter Games.
We started this whole thing by sharing our thoughts on the casting.
It was confusing to say the least.
The cast that was chosen for Unwell Winter Games were controversial.
They were usually in the headlines for things that were not maybe appreciated.
We were a little confused.
We soon found out why.
And as we close the wrap up, breaking down episodes three and four, Heather is with me today.
And I think we really understand, at least I do, why this cast was chosen.
Yeah, I mean, I would still say there's a little bit of a question mark around Joe and Serena because they're maybe the least controversial people on this show.
but boy, did they get spicy in one of these episodes?
I think that was them being like, we're fun, we're hip, we're, we can break rules too kind of thing.
We make out.
We make out.
Yeah, you know, it was funny for me, and I actually think it was a very sweet part of the show
where the married couples were actually the ones to participate in the makeout.
Because with how this show was built, I think they thought, oh, this will be a fun challenge to see how spicy things can get and see if it causes any jealousy or controversy.
But no, it actually became a very sweet moment for married couples.
Go married couples.
You can still have a lot of fun.
Yeah.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to unsee it.
There's zero chance that what they were doing on the mountain was actually what it looks like at home.
You think there's a chance.
They're showing it up.
But good for them.
Hey, it's great.
I'm thankful and happy that they love each other so much.
But that was the big moment for Joe and Serena really throughout the whole season,
which was four episodes long.
We're going to kind of kick this thing off by breaking down the episode.
Andrew continues to be the main character of this show.
I'm not going to call him the star because I don't know.
He did make a weird comment in the midst of this
where he said,
hey, what if I get a huge following from this?
What are you going to do?
And that's always just kind of a cringy comment for me.
I think everything.
I mean, Andrew was nothing but cringe to me.
This like just how he...
Tell me more.
How he talked on camera.
I think I said in the last episode,
the sunglasses on at all hours of the day and night,
inside, outside an interview was cringy to me.
And then in, like when he came out to the hot tub and he was like, what's going on here?
And it's like, Andrew, you've known this girl for five seconds.
Literally an afternoon.
Literally an afternoon.
Yeah, I think he's just playing it up.
I'm surprised he got as much camera time as he did, especially when they eliminated him
in like the first episode.
He just never left.
Never.
And I've told Ashley this before.
I'm all four people wanting to get a following and get on these shows and have a good time.
But I just want you honest about it.
And it felt like when he was asked, it was this, oh, goodness, this is.
And it's like, no, just be like, yes, this is my time.
This is my spot.
I want to get, you know, known from this.
I don't know how many people watch this show.
so I don't know his following
if it's really going to go up or not.
I think one of the episodes I watched last night
was already at a million views.
That's pretty good.
That's pretty good for it,
not having been out for a week.
So yeah, I'm sure it's like found
you know, some sort of audience
on the internet.
But yeah, if that translates to followers,
I mean, while you're talking,
I can obviously pull up his Instagram
and kind of see where he's at.
Let's see.
Well, um,
The drama starts once the cameras are down.
The drama was that Juliet had made some comments towards Cameron about him,
that other straight men would not want to use the restroom with him.
He took it as him being kind of a creep.
And he was very much against that, which makes sense.
You're like, I don't want to, I'm not a creep.
I don't want to be known as a creep.
That drama was kind of propelled as long as it could go.
Once they had a conversation, it felt like it was, in a sense, water on the bridge, a misunderstanding,
drinks were flowing.
Was it the right thing to say, no, that was not kind?
I think what rubbed me the wrong way about that, sorry to interrupt you, but what rubbed me
the wrong way was it felt like Juliet kind of took a lack of accountability.
Sure.
The apology kind of felt like, I don't remember saying that.
I'm sorry, I guess.
And then there was like crying, but there was no.
tears. And it's like, do I believe that she doesn't remember? Sure. Does it sound like there was a lot of
drinking going on? I can imagine. But I think the way to approach that is, I'm so sorry,
please forgive me, it won't happen again. And then, you know, hold on to, you know, whatever that
embarrassment is and use it to not make a mistake like that again. Where it got weird was her then
being like, I'm feeling attacked.
I'm really upset that everybody was talking about me in the house all day long.
Today, he should have come to me.
Yeah, he should have.
He should have come directly to you.
But the flipping of making the situation then about her was a little out of line.
And Juliet, it came across as like super immature and just not how you kind of own making
a mistake as an adult.
I would agree with that.
It did feel odd.
And here's one thing I think that went under the radar when it came to Cameron.
He's a big character.
He's a loud voice on social media.
He, I thought, did this thing that nobody expected where he came into the show and confronted all of the issues kind of head on.
He really was not afraid of the confrontation leading to a place.
It wasn't just to have confrontation simply to have confrontation.
and Cameron, if he wants to admit it or not, at least during this show, displayed this desire to have confrontation leading to some type of healing.
And it worked in all cases.
Juliet, yeah, twisted it really quickly.
It felt weird.
How many times have we, you know, had a night where either you're tired or you've drank too much or you've said something that's come off wrong?
and then the next day,
how wonderful is it
when that person that you've heard says,
hey, I want to talk to you about these things.
You said it shows that they care
and it shows that they want to get clarity.
So overall, the drama kind of
was this underlying thing.
It never really felt like it was
as big of a deal as the show made it
until Juliet kind of said.
You're attacking me and you're right.
And I don't know if that's true.
I think they were just,
it's a bunch of big.
personality, he's trying to figure out how to navigate the world.
Well, they also weren't attacking her because she kept saying, I didn't say that, I didn't say
that. So they kept bringing in more people who were present and were like, yeah, you did say that.
She was like, you're attacking me. You're attacking me. It's like, no, that's not what's
happening. But anyways. One thing that definitely didn't happen as much as I bet Alex Cooper and the
production team expected was there was very little hookup on this show. Really, there was only
like a few instances.
It was four days long.
I don't know how much they can expect,
but it was the underlying premise
of most of the hosts jokes
and kind of the ITM conversations.
But there wasn't really a lot of hookups
going on in this house.
I mean, the only one getting some action was Hallie.
I mean, we saw her kiss and Andrew.
We heard that she kissed Dakota off camera
and we saw her kiss Alyssa.
So Hallie was the one really holding that torch
on this show and was like,
oh, you want people to make out?
Like, I'll, I'll take that.
I'll do that.
Yeah.
Can you explain to me the intrigue in Dakota?
Like how?
I'm embarrassed to do this because of everything that's come to light.
But obviously, I've talked about it in previous episodes where I'm like,
oh, Dakota, I get it.
He's like a lovable loser.
I mean, listen, I hate that we have to say this every time.
Obviously, we don't condone violence.
or anything that has been rumored to happen
or is in the process of being worked out right now
with court issues.
Speaking objectively,
I think that Dakota is an attractive man.
I think he has a very well-groomed beard.
I think he has nice teeth.
I think he has an overall nice appearance.
So in that sense, I get it.
like I get why she's attracted to him.
I think he's an attractive man.
His personality is so goofy.
Like the guy is not like suave in any way.
So I think that I kind of find it a little bit endearing.
The fact that he is a very obvious love bomber and just you can see and just these interactions
with Hallie and stuff like that, that is a turn off to me.
I'm not interested in that and I don't find that attractive, but I can see why women would.
That was my question.
And I think you answered it well, is outside of, I don't know, I mean, you cannot, obviously, in the world we know today, dismiss the accusations.
No.
Against him.
But if you didn't know, and I don't think they knew at the time of the filming of the show, any of that, what is it about this guy that makes him desirable?
that was my question.
Yeah.
I kind of pointed this out too
when I was putting this together,
but the fact that every episode
they very clearly say what day it was recorded,
do you feel like that was them doing
an after kind of due diligence
of being like, do you see this was recorded
before whatever February incident happened
between Taylor and Dakota?
Like it felt intentional.
Save's face a little bit.
Yeah.
that's what I was thinking when I was watching.
Because at one point I was like, wait, what day is it?
And then I was like, I was like going to go back and like, but then I saw, oh, we're like only February 2nd or February 3rd.
So whatever happened happened 20 some days later after this.
Did we get an update on Andrew's following?
Yeah, it's nothing.
It's like 4,000 people.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Andrew is Andrew underscore underscore Vetter.
Yeah, 4,871 followers.
So, and looks like majority, looks like all the cast is following him.
I can see Dakota, Serena, Joe.
I mean, he seems like a nice guy.
I'm sure he is a nice guy.
I think he's a party boy who ended up at a party production company.
I think he's perfectly fit where he's at and what he's doing.

Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw,
unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard,
but celebrated.
One week I'll take you behind the scenes
of the biggest moments
in sports and entertainment,
and the next we'll talk about life,
mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clivert Show isn't just a podcast,
it's a space for honest conversations,
stories that don't always get told,
and for people who are chasing something bigger.
So, if you've ever supported me
or you're just chasing down a dream,

I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money.
It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke,
is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer,
and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre,
as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything.
But at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

We do have a kind of a random appearance from Gleb, Dance with the Stars.
He comes in.
And so Gleb is the referee of this game that they're playing.
The game really doesn't.
The games are lackluster.
Yeah, it's not why we're there.
It's not what we're here to talk about.
But he's the referee of the game,
and then he joins everybody at the villa later that evening.
He joins everybody after the host,
Adam, tells the winning team that they have this fancy dinner being made for them.
And the other team is going to be their butlers for the evening.
They're individual butlers.
They have to choose their butlers.
This is actually kind of fun to watch.
I'll give a lot of credit to the butlers for working really hard at it.
I also think there were some funny moments.
I don't know the guy's name,
but he like had his butler smack him.
And it was like,
Dylan had the butler was Nico.
Yeah,
it was like,
it was funny.
I was giggling during that
when he was like making Nico do these ridiculous things.
It did not cross the line.
It did not feel inappropriate.
It did not feel weird.
It just felt hilarious.
And they were playing it up.
I'd say all this to say,
Gleb was the only one that was kind of,
I don't know if you felt this way with Anna Delvey.
He was definitely trying to make a move there.
For sure.
And it felt uncomfortable for whatever reason.
I don't think she was interested.
And he was like commenting on like he liked her costume and like, you know, she looked good.
Which she did.
She did actually look really good in that little butleret costume.
I did find it enjoyable to watch her explaining to her castmates how,
she was able to get her tights on with her ankle monitor.
Yeah, it's, she's, she's really playing this up.
I could be controversial.
She's grown on me during this show.
Not that I came into it with any other idea, but she's been a character that has been
funny, sweet.
That is controversial.
Is it?
I just mean, you know, in the sense that she's a fucking scam artist.
Well, but did she, did, okay, let me ask you then in the same way.
If you don't know anything else about it, you watch her during this.
Yeah, you'd think she's like a sweet,
foreign person that you can't place their accent
and you would think, you know, she's there to have fun,
she's there to have a good time.
She was not a dislike, like a hateable character.
100%. I agree with you.
No, but I know.
It's like it's a weird thing to say, right,
that we like these controversial people that are on this show,
but that is part of,
that's part of this is like they're clearly looking for some sort of redemption arc for these people.
That's why they were cast.
Yeah.
And it's hard to dislike somebody once you get to know somebody.
And this show, depending on what they were out to get, it didn't bring out the crazy or the messy side of really anybody.
Because I think it was only four days and they all seem to like each other enough.
And the only moment during the whole season
that felt like we were getting there
was this Gleb Dakota conversation
where they start to dive into stuff
that does feel very private,
which there's a lot of things
that get these people in the trouble.
But releasing private information,
especially about like past exes,
in this kind of format, does feel weird.
And Gleb was very open about his escapades
and his encounters with who was it?
What was her name?
With Brooks Nader.
Yeah, I mean, if anybody's kind of followed this story,
Brooks has been really, really open.
She went on Watch What Happens Live not too long ago
and said that her and Gleb had sex the day that they met.
When they met as partners, they were like,
this is your partner.
And she said, on Watch What Happens Live,
that they had sex that day.
So it was hot and heavy from the jump between them.
But then she came out after they were eliminated and whatever and they were kind of still seeing each other.
She was the one who was out there saying he cheated on me.
Like that's why it's over.
And then she got a reality show which I can't speak to because I never watched it.
But I did hear it was really good.
But I believe that she talked about his cheating on that as well on her reality show.
with her family.
So yeah, he clearly came into this
with a full on vendetta
of wanting to clear his name
and speak his piece on a platform.
And that's when he gets into it
and says that she was like the worst sex he ever had
and she choked him
and chipped one of his teeth when they were making out.
Yeah.
But did you catch when he said to Dakota
that he knows Dakota,
Dakota's ex.
I didn't catch that.
Oh yeah. So when they first are
playing pool, he's like,
you're your ex.
I did a show with her.
And so
that leads us to believe
that Gleb did something
on the season of The Bachelorette,
which we're never going to see now,
maybe some sort of dance
or something. And then we just
saw today, Dumois posted a
blind item that they got about
Taylor Frankie Paul was supposed to be on this quote unquote next season of dancing with the stars.
And that is being pulled now and they are looking at other options.
But yeah, I thought that was interesting.
And I think that's why producers paired them to have this conversation together around the pool table
was because of that connection to Taylor.
Which, by the way, for somebody not being on the show, Taylor is talked about a,
A lot. A lot. And I mean, again, this is all conversations happening before the end of February. So the
latest incident between Dakota and Taylor had not happened yet to our knowledge. And so they're
talking about it in this way of her being the Bachelorette and her being, you know, Dakota's
ex. It's obviously something that is discussed. It felt like we were
going to walk into a conversation that went a little deeper during the club Dakota stuff.
I'm surprised that conversation even existed in this format.
You know, if you, and maybe he just wanted his chance to speak about it, but it did,
I mean, it's a four-episode YouTube show.
It felt like he was looking for any access point to really get this out there.
And it took up a large portion of the episode.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, they were clearly both their.
to be like,
they both were like,
we've been talked about in the press.
We're bad guys.
But then they looked at each other
and they were like,
we're kind of bad guys.
Did you see that?
They kind of like bonded over it.
Yeah, I was just downstairs trying to hook up
with Anna Delvey.
I mean, and Dakota's clearly
kissing Hallie off camera
while also saying on camera
to another person that he's in a
exclusive with,
air quotes,
situation.
So, I mean, these guys bless them.
Bless them both.
They are there to clear their names,
and then they both kind of step in it after
and just kind of reaffirm what people have said about them.
But Dakota says that he is not really, like, ever been over Taylor.
And he says that it's actually he never cheated on her,
but that she's the one who went and hooked up with another guy,
came back hooked up with Dakota and didn't tell him. Now, if anybody's watched Secret Lives and Mormon
Wives, we have seen that scenario play out more than once with Dakota being the one hooking up.
So this was a first time that I've heard as a follower of this saga. It's the first time I've
heard that that Taylor was the one who went and did that. Do I believe it? I think there's a very
high possibility. I've said it before. I think that both of these people are toxic.
with each other. And I think that there's a lot of blurred lines and a lot of no hard boundaries
between the two of them. But we've seen play out on multiple seasons of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
and we've actually had the women that Dakota has hooked up with. They've come on camera
and talked about hooking up with Dakota. So it's like, he says, and he says, I've, it doesn't
mean, I haven't made mistakes.
I've made mistakes, but I've never cheated.
I've been labeled a serial cheater and I'm not a cheater.
Did you take Dakota's words as genuine when he sat down in fronting camera and said,
you know, he talked about he does villainous things.
He doesn't think he's a villain.
And then kind of talked about how he always finds himself in these situations
where there's no right move out of them.
Yeah, I don't buy that.
You think he knows what he's doing?
I don't know if he's necessarily super cognizant of it,
but I think that people that are constantly in spirals of chaos
need to take a step back and look at,
why does chaos always circle me?
Why am I always in situations that are sticky and difficult?
Oh, the common denominator is me.
And you have to take some accountability in that.
Things don't just continue to happen to you.
You keep putting yourself in environments
that can be blurred easily.
You keep communicating with people in a way that,
oh, now it gets escalated.
Why did it get escalated?
Because why did you start talking to that person?
Like those kinds of things,
I don't believe in the victim mentality of everything just happens to me.
I don't know why it happens to me.
I'm with you.
You're not a therapist, so I don't want you to get to you.
But what is that personality type?
Because it does seem like so many of these,
people do that and they continue to make the mistake over and over and over again.
And being, it's actually interesting.
And I don't know if there's a tie to this at all.
But there is this kind of vulnerable conversation that Huda and Dakota have where they
start talking about their upbringings and how they both have issues with their parents.
And they like kind of joke about it, but you can tell that it's actually really,
beautiful moment where they're like joking about rehab but not joking about it like oh you know that rehab
they're like no we've both been there and we have our stuff and we you know we can't figure this thing out
and i actually found it one of those good moments where like two people who probably don't get vulnerable
in that kind of way very often were trying to get into that place where they felt less alone
they did it and i wonder if like what is causing Dakota to continue to make these decisions
and not pull himself out when he's obviously realizing that he does it.
Yeah, I mean, listen, I think you could probably draw a parallel line to the fact that he is an addict and he is a recovering addict.
So, you know, again, I'm not a therapist or a doctor or anything, but if you're constantly seeking some sort of high or something when you are using,
I think that there's probably a high that you're probably chasing in life.
when you're not using. And I think that that probably manifests in other areas of your life.
So this is a podcast about video games. Kind of. It's also about friendship. Definitely. And chaos.
Unavoidably. Welcome to It's Dangerous to Go Alone. A podcast where we talk games, culture, nostalgia,
and immediately go off topic. There is no gatekeeping. There is no skill check. If you win a game on
easy mode, we support you. If you've never touched a controller, honestly, same energy for some of us.
It's fun. It's chaotic. It's friendship with a loose gaming theme. And somehow we can
keep getting away with it.
You should listen.

I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money.
It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and Venture,
capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures,
it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything.
But at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

And we've got a new show called The 1021 Podcast.
I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers.
We also love sports.
And with the World Cup right around the corner,
we'll be breaking down the biggest storylines
ahead of the big tournament here in the USA.

You know, one of the things that I think this show specifically is show me
is the insecurities of those who are beautiful people,
but also like beautiful physically,
but also all trying to make lots of.
life work. And you get kind of this, this inside look at some of their insecurities, right? This show is
one to expose insecurities and show them more than covering up, make everybody look perfect.
And I think that's one thing that so many people watching it need to realize is, you know,
yes, you watch them and like the Louies of the world, right? Such a handsome dude and charismatic
and loud. But in a show like this, you start to see kind of behind the scenes of what he's
dealing with in life and how he processes things.
And I think you see that with a lot of these characters.
Yeah.
What did you think about seeing some of these interactions between Louis and Huda in these last
two episodes?
I think they really like each other.
I don't know if like,
I don't know much about either of them outside of what I've seen them on television.
Uh-huh.
But they're very protective.
Or he is very protective of her.
Yeah.
That felt a little red flaggy to me.
You know, yeah, I could see that.
I was thinking about, I don't know how else to do others to make parallels.
I'm very protective of my wife.
No, like, if anybody hurts her, they're going to hear from me.
But if I was in a situation like this, I would love her being on the other team.
Like, I am going to compete against her and love every second of that.
And, I mean, I don't necessarily, I would love the makeout moment for us to be on the same team.
But it felt a little bit to like,
almost like I'm trying to hold on to something so tight.
When I, the people I know who are married or who have been a long relationship,
they have that protective instinct and they love and they care,
but they don't hold on to it so tight that it is almost isolating the relationship.
Yeah, it felt very, when we're talking about insecurities,
like that to me was just like waving a big insecure flag above your head.
If your girlfriend is on a ice skating rink and can't hold her balance and another man is just holding her hand guiding her.
And you're not jumping up to do it yourself.
What is she supposed to do?
She was like, what did you want me to do?
Like fall down?
It's like there was, he was just like, and who knows how much he was playing that up.
But I was like, it's not like a good look.
That's kind of like, icky.
and like there's you can see with your own eyes that nothing is happening here your girlfriend's about
to face plant onto an ice rink if somebody doesn't guide her she can't skate yeah i i guess teach their own
but i would not have a problem with somebody helping jessica ice skate because i know if i grabbed
her hand on the ice skating rink we'd both be falling down and that would not be fun for anybody yeah
it's the confidence too and just knowing your relationship and knowing your partner and i do think
think they both come from a world where there is temptation and there is, there's a lack of
boundaries necessarily set for probably either of them. And there is probably this concern with,
you know, it's probably the only way they know how to navigate or he knows how to navigate a
relationship is by having that like kind of overbearing grip. And that isn't healthy. Let me tell
you, it's exhausting probably for both of them. And it's not healthy. But the two of them,
I guess to answer it, outside of all of that, if it's healthy or not,
They do seem to really like each other.
They do.
They do seem to really like each other.
And maybe they're a match made.
Maybe they both.
I mean, I feel like I kind of know Louie a little bit from watching Perfect Match.
I feel like I know Huda a lot more from watching her on Love Island just because it's every
single day.
It's, I mean, it's a very big commitment when you commit to watching an entire season.
So I feel like I know her super well.
She's a single mom, which came up so much on Love Island and has really really,
not been talked about.
Which is crazy because she had a very viral moment on Love Island for being like,
I'm a mommy.
And it went like on TikTok and everybody being like, mamacita.
And she's like, no, I'm a mom.
And the guy goes, of a dog?
No, I have a baby.
Like, I have a child.
It's just like one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
She goes, I'm a mommy.
And he goes, mamacita.
Oh.
So she is a single mom and I'm actually surprised, yeah, that that hasn't come up more in these episodes.
But who cares?
I guess they don't care.
The overall season ended with the Purple Team winning.
They win in the midst of this competition.
It has a bunch of challenges to it.
They're really the one that stands out is the makeout challenge where Joan Serena and then also DeMe and her husband steps in
out of nowhere. I don't know where he came from.
Well, because they filmed this in Utah, remember?
Oh, so he came to watch.
And she was going to make out with a girl.
She was out there to make out with a girl. And he steps in and goes, no, make out with me.
But Joe and Serena and the two of them have this makeout contest.
Joe and Serena really show up and they show up big time in it.
They go all out.
It is cute.
It is fun.
Cute.
It was, whoa.
It was hair flipping.
Was it a lot?
It was like.
riding, straddling, switching positions, spread legs.
I mean, it was true.
It was a lot.
I mean, if you were in their situation,
would you have outperformed them?
Would you have felt comfortable doing something like that?
No, my wife would never have been, like, that's not her.
No, that's not her.
They seemed game.
They both, but also I feel like Serena was really like leading this whole, like,
the action.
Yeah, because Joe is, like,
like just going to sit there and enjoy it.
He looked like kind of shocked when they like were switching like spots.
Like, whoa, like we're doing this.
We're going for it.
For whatever reason, I found it cute.
I think it's amazing when married couples go all out like this.
I was like looking at like this.
Like I don't know if I should be seeing this is so much.
And then I was like, what if I see them?
Like what if I see them in real life?
Like, am I going to be thinking about this?
100%.
And you should tell them.
All I can think about it.
is seeing the two of you do what you did on unwell winter games.
I'm going to.
I'm going to see Joe in a few weeks.
I'm going to say, Joe, I've seen the way you two operate.
I bet his response to me is we don't operate like that.
Even Ekin Sue.
Ekin Sue is like, oh, is this supposed to be like a porno?
Guys, if you haven't watched, like it was giving porno.
Yeah.
It's good for the married couple.
Keep things spicy in their relationship for as long as you can.
It's healthy.
and it's it makes things fun for the 50, 60 years you're going to be together.
So true.
I'm all for it.
I fully support it.
So that was the big moment.
And then as the Purple Team ends, they celebrate.
The whole cast celebrates together.
And they talk about how great this show was and how was the best few days of their life and all this stuff.
And they do it at the Vita Tequila Lounge.
It's owned by Real Housewife of Salt Lake City member Lisa Barlow.
Yeah.
And I just had to say the second they showed the sign, I went, no, they're not at Vita tequila.
Like, no.
Why do you know that?
Because I know, because Lisa talks about it in every single episode that she can.
She mentions her tequila brand.
They shoot real housewives there.
And so I was like, oh, I've seen this lounge.
I know this lounge.
Like, this is where Lisa loves to hang out.
You know, her life fans listening.
Lisa's life is so different from everybody else's life because she hangs out with Ben Affleck.
It's a joke.
That's what she says.
her life is not different
but I was absolutely
gagged as the kids would say
when she popped up at the end
very end of the episode and was taking pictures
with Cameron who was also gagged
so good
and Vita Tequila I know Vita Tequila
it's a pretty big brand
yeah I mean she she lives a way different life
than all of us this Lisa Barlow
that's what she likes to remind us
yeah Vita Tequila
and that's her
lounge and yeah she does it with her husband. I'm sure they have other investors. I'm sure that's not
like a sole owned business. Well, they get to celebrate it Vita Tequila. They look like they're having a
great time. Heather, as we close out the breakdown of episodes one through four, I don't know if we're
if we will ever talk about this show again on the almost famous podcast because who knows
if Bachelor Nation will be a part of it, I will be honest. I started the breakdowns of these episodes
by saying this isn't for me, Heather,
I really don't want to do this.
And after four episodes,
I felt very similarly
to how I feel watching perfect match
where I didn't hate it.
I would never choose
and like I'm not going to go out
to watch a second season
if we don't have to.
But it wasn't bad.
It was an intriguing watch
at times for me.
Okay.
I'm going to say I didn't.
like it. I feel, again, I said this last time, but after having watched Love Overboard, which I felt was
super engaging and interesting, and I loved the concept, that was so much fun for me. And also,
having watched like perfect match, which I also found very fun and silly, this to me had such a
lack of structure. And I think the moments that went on too long, went on too long. And it just
didn't hold my attention.
And as well, I thought the casting was fairly good.
Like as soon as we knew the concept was to cast people that were controversial, I was like,
okay, I get this now.
I just, it didn't hold my attention.
It was, I think one of the benefits was, it was such a short episode.
A hundred percent, it being short.
I also just think that you're shooting winter games in Utah and overall, I would say,
majority of the show was shot inside the chalet. So I wish that there was like more actual winter
and games incorporated. But that's just probably me being nitpicky. The games were definitely
low budget. I think the hockey, they had like a hockey scene. And to get your hockey shot,
you hit like one of those $2 lights that you stick underneath your counter. Yeah. I mean,
just the whole show just overall was low budge. I mean, we could, you know where the budget went to the
alcohol because we discussed this the last time we weren't sure if they had a two drink maximum
or anything like that clearly they did not they were drinking at all hours of the day and night
these peeps so yeah i think that's where the budget went was to was to the alcohol and maybe to those
snowsuits that they were all wearing um throughout the show the butler costumes the butler costumes
yeah well that's our breakdown of unwell winter games it's uh Alex cooper's company
She makes a few appearances during this season.
You know, outside of the controversy of the cast,
she had some very well-known people on this cast,
and she convinced them to come to Utah to do winter sports for a few days,
and that included Joe and Serena,
who are part of Alex Cooper's network now hosting a show.
It's our breakdown.
Take it or leave it.
This is not a show that the Almost Famous Podcast is going to stick her
stake in and say, hey, this is us.
But because of Joe and Serena being on the show, we wanted to talk about it here.
And they definitely had their moment in the final episode as the two of them, you know, did like the teenage makeout session.
We should also mention, Ben, that for all that they did, they didn't even win the challenge.
Serino was really pissed about that.
That's a good point.
Too bad.
Well, hey, it's out there.
So at least people know they're still in love.
This has been the almost famous podcast, breaking down the final two episodes of Winter Games.
