On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche
to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families
if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here.
We break down budgeting, financial discipline,
and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,
this conversation is for you to hear more.
Listen to Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant from the Black Effect Network
on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
This is the Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast with IHartRadio.
We are back on the almost famous podcast, and we have quite a few headlines to get through today.
A lot of news and Bachelor Nation from feuds to proposals on podcasts.
We have a lot to cover.
That was a good one.
That's a good one.
I can't wait to talk about that one.
All right, Ben, what's our first headline of the day?
The first headline is this.
former bachelor at Gabby Wendy
reveals how she realized
she was a lesbian.
This is a silly article.
I saw people commenting
and be like,
I don't know if this is going to make me think
that I'm a lesbian,
but if it made you feel like a lesbian,
this is what she said.
She goes, I guess I've never been
homophobic, so I figured I was gay.
Interesting.
Yes, Ben.
That's it.
No, she does elaborate
saying that she always had an inkling
that she was queer before coming out.
She said that when she was a nurse,
she was a really good friend.
She was really good friends with a lesbian.
She was funny.
We had so much fun together,
and she was the best,
and I didn't even think that she was a lesbian.
Okay.
And then she said that her first real emotional attraction
to another person was,
oh, I guess that was her first real emotional attraction
to another person, the friend.
Okay.
So then she said,
that she was like in the whole culture of being a Broncos cheerleader,
which is hyper heterosexual, she said.
And then at the end of that career,
she was like,
all my friends were getting married after cheerleading,
having babies.
And I just wasn't clicking with dudes, you know?
Also, Denver dudes are terrible.
So I'm like, Ben,
um,
please tell us what that means here.
I don't know.
I've been best things.
I'm a Denver dude.
That hurts.
But like, what does it mean?
Because people used to call Denver member and because the men totally outnumber the women.
So that's where single straight women should go.
Yeah.
I mean, I've heard that the dating scene in Denver is hard.
You did it at some point.
Not successfully.
I ended up marrying somebody from Nashville, Tennessee.
Well, I know that.
But I'm just saying that, like, you were single in Denver.
Yeah, I think there's a little bit to it.
If I was to guess, Denver has a lot of men because Denver is set up for those outdoor things,
the camping, the hunting, the fishing, the skiing, the snowboarding.
And those men, and I would also put the women in this, I think, are just easily distracted,
meaning we don't have a great late night scene because people wake up early and want to get up to the mountains
or want to get out and do an activity.
We don't have a great single scene
because everybody isn't camping
and it's hard to meet somebody camping necessarily
because there's like maybe three of you
and you're all friends and close friends already.
We don't have big gatherings to camp.
You guys should make camping your bars.
Yeah, just like literally set up a tent in the middle of the woods
and say come stay the night.
That could be good.
That's a good idea, actually.
I don't really know why Denver feels like a place where people can't meet somebody,
but I've heard it many of times, and obviously I went through it out here.
It is hard to understand.
She says that Colorado had Christian values and people wanted to like to have kids and get married.
And she said, that's just not me.
Hold up.
That's maybe where I push back.
Colorado is not, I think, by definition, a very faith-based town.
I've never, I mean, I've never felt that.
Maybe in where she grew up, I think she was down south, maybe closer to there.
But I've never felt like Colorado had conservative or traditional values by any means.
Okay, yeah.
I mean, it's a blue state.
It's a blue state.
And it's a lot of, like, people from different states coming together.
Yeah, it's definitely one of those places where it's like the mixing pot where I think a lot of people aren't.
locals. They weren't like born and raised Denver.
I think if you asked somebody today who's single in like Denver, they would say the hard part
about dating here is nobody wants to get married. So I would actually.
Really? Yeah, go maybe the opposite.
Okay, well, she did say this was like a while ago. This was like pretty much 10 years ago.
She said at this point, I didn't really know I was a lesbian. It's back during her cheerleading
career. So if you're thinking about it, it's like she was bachelorette five years ago.
Yeah, it was a while ago.
Maybe not five years ago for her.
And then, you know, when she was back here, so it's been a while.
And then she says she would go to bed and get subconscious thoughts, as we often do.
And she was like, what if you're gay?
What would your family say?
And then she said, you'd have to tell your dad.
Would it be scary?
And then she had a gay friend, and she was taking her to all these events.
She got on Raya, and she checked off that she wanted to date girls and guys.
She went out with a girl.
She said she was a very feminine, which we know Robbie's not.
But she goes, she tried to kiss me at the end.
And I was like, no, I need somebody who's going to take control.
I need a Robbie.
And then she said, Robbie's my forever.
My dream is to be happy with Robbie and be an actress.
And they got married a little over a year ago and started their relationship in the summer of 2023.
Hey, great for Gabby.
Great for Robbie.
If I was with Gabby face to face.
I would have an argument about, but like you said, it was 10 years ago.
So Denver's maybe, Denver's changed a lot in 10 years.
I think anybody would admit to that.
So maybe that was the vibe back then.
I don't think it's the vibe here anymore.
Also, she said that she like didn't want to get married.
She said it's very like Christian values to get married and have kids and all that.
But then she did get married.
So I just want to know what made her and Robbie get married.
this and other than just like be together.
That's a great question.
That's a good question.
We can ask her at some point.
Yeah.
Caitlin Bristow addresses Jesse Draper feud rumors after tagging Mormon wives star in, well, this is the headline, Shady Post.
Okay, so guys, this is like drama over nothing, but Dumois picked it up.
So if Dumois picks it up, it seems like it's news.
This is not news.
what Caitlin did, this is a little bit, it's a little complicated here, she says, she posted
something on Instagram and the caption said, people who are happy don't have to tell us they're
happy. Oh, no, no, no. She just posted a, she just posted a video, okay? She was eating cake. That's all
it was. And then an online troll said in the comments, people who are happy don't have to tell us
they're happy. And then Caitlin was like, okay, it's not that deep you're reading.
into it. And then the initial post, before it was deleted, which it ended up being, Jesse
wrote, same girl. The post mysteriously disappeared. Caitlin said she didn't know what happened to it.
She ended up reposting it and wrote underneath, I already posted this and somehow it got deleted.
So if the person who always has some passive aggressive thing to say wants to repeat the comment,
by all means, and then she said, I was talking to one troll. And then
she ends up tagging Jesse
because she wanted
Caitlin wanted to know
what Jesse's comment was.
She saw that she had left a comment
on the prior post
before she re-uploaded it.
And then people started
thinking that Jesse was
the troll. That is
not who it was.
But because of all this
back and forth, deleting and la la la la la.
People thought they were having beef
and then Jesse
ended up commenting on Caitlin's explanatory post because Caitlin had to, she had to post an
explanation now that it had hit, had hit De Mois. And then Jesse said, ah, love you. And that's it.
So there's no feud between them. No, not at all. This is a nothing burger.

Hi, Dad.
And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk.
This is a badass convict.
Right.
Just finished five years.
I'm going to have cookies and milk at my mom.

I don't understand this headline, Ashley, by any means.
Oh, it's fantastic.
I can't wait for you to tell me all about it.
The headline reads, Golden Bachelor's Kathy Swartz, who we love,
pressures Bachelor in Paradise, Hakeem,
into proposing to pregnant girlfriend on podcast.
I don't understand what's happening here.
No, like literally, they got a proposal on their podcast.
We will never end up doing this.
Yeah, we've never done that, nor do I know if I'd want.
I'd feel very uncomfortable.
Joan was on the podcast with Kathy and she was not so sure she was comfortable with it either.
So they did a two-part episode that was released on the 23rd.
And Kathy tells Hecim that, you know, like you guys are having a baby.
She says, quote, I'm going to give you an option right now.
I want you to listen carefully.
I'm being your mother here.
Let's reframe the whole thing.
Why don't you right now get on one knee on this podcast and ask that beautiful woman,
to marry you right here.
I'm deadly serious.
And then Hakeem was like, you know,
we're probably going to go to the courthouse,
do something really quickly.
This is totally unromantic.
He goes, so she can get my insurance.
And then he goes, with my,
with like, to us,
that is the most practical option with a baby on the way.
And then Kathy goes,
I don't want to hear about your insurance.
I want you on your knee.
I'll give you the words if you can't come up with them.
And then Joan was like, Kathy, you can't do this.
You've got to stop.
Then Hakeem turns to Monica and says, will you marry me?
And then Monica says, I would love to.
And then Kathy's like, congratulations.
She said yes.
And then she goes, Hakeem, I'm going to tell you, this is our first proposal on our podcast.
So you guys, yay, you're now officially engaged.
Where do I stand on this?
Well, okay, I think the two of them have definitely discussed getting married.
Yeah, it's not like a shock.
They're one of those couples.
They were like my parents.
My parents, like, they didn't, like, have a proposal moment.
Neither do my parents.
Yeah.
So they just discussed marriage and then one day they got married.
But it was never like this get on one knee, ring on the finger type moment.
So I think that they've been talking about it.
So he was just like, well, I mean, this.
This is funny.
Yeah.
If they weren't having a baby, it would be different, too.
It's like they already know that they're connected for life through this in marriage.
I have no problem with them getting married.
I have no saying that.
I am more wondering how in the world it happened on the show.
It is.
He was literally on our podcast like six months ago saying like,
do you have any ladies for me?
Now he's about to be a dad.
And he's engaged from a podcast.
Hannah Brown undergoes uterus surgery amid fertility journey.
So Hannah Brown has a very interesting condition,
and it's been impacting her fertility.
She has what she told me once, like basically two uteruses.
That is kind of how it is.
To be technical about it, she's a septum in her uterus,
which she says is not that big of a deal.
It's not what we would call common, but it's not super weird.
She says like the septum, it goes in.
Some people have like a heart-shaped uterus, she said.
But she goes, my septum is very significant.
It went very deep.
The septum would be the middle of the heart.
Well, that's the middle of the heart, her uterus.
Well, no, but like, I'm saying if it's heart shaped.
Yeah, heart shaped.
To be the middle of the heart.
Yeah, that would just be too deep.
Yeah.
Okay, sorry for misunderstanding that.
Yeah.
The heart and uterus are two separate.
things. I think I knew that.
So basically there's a big divide in the middle of hers.
And she said that because hers is so deep that she's more likely to hold a pregnancy
if they get that cleared out. There's not much space divide.
And the egg could attach, she said because there's not much space in it,
it would be more likely for an egg to attach.
somewhere like that it shouldn't be so anyway what she's done is she went in this week she just posted
something on instagram about how her mom's taking care of her and she got that removed
and she said she's been putting it off for a while she's had PCOS um for a while and then she kind of like
within the past year or two found out about this septum and she goes but this is the first step and us
family planning, so amazing, so thankful for the team that took care of me today.
That's an exciting time, though.
It's fun also to hear that they're family planning.
That's always so cool.
That's very sweet.
Are you family planning?
I think we're always family planning.
Yeah, most days, Jess says, do you want to have six, seven, or eight?
That is insane.
This is what happens when you have an easy baby girl for your first kid.
I know.
I'm holding out hope that.
This will slow down at some point.
That is so funny.
So it's funny when you have two boys, four and almost two, that like every period,
you're scared you're not going to get.
And it's like, I never, you know that you and I, you and I, not, I'm bundling you into this.
I like never had that 20s thing where I'd be like scared, right?
I never had scares ever.
And now that I'm almost, you know, I'm 38 with the two boys, my scares are now.
Yeah, that's so fun.
And it's hilarious.
Like, if it were to ever happen, like that you hear about it so often.
Yeah.
Where you have the surprise.
Right before the guy was supposed to have the vasectomy.
Yeah.
Next month he was supposed to hold.
Oh, it's so good.
Oh, it's so good.
Does Jared have a vasectomy?
No, but like we want.
We think about doing it because I don't want to be on the pill anymore.
Like, it's so ridiculous that I'm on the pill.
And it's also funny that I feel like a college girl because I'm like on the pill.
And I'm still like, I'm still scared every month.
I like this.
This is fun.
You know, it keeps things fresh in your house.
Jared does not think it keeps things fresh.
Jared thinks that is like petrifying.
All right.
Joan Vassos.
Congratulations to Jem.
She wins the 2026 Courageous Women Award in New York City.
Courageous Women Award.
I just have to say one thing.
It's funny.
Jared's reaction is quite honestly hilarious because I'll be like, Jared,
my boobs are like big and sore right now.
It doesn't make any sense.
The only time my boobs have ever been big and sore is before I found out that I was pregnant with both kids.
And then I'll be like, I think I'm pregnant.
What if I'm pregnant?
And then he doesn't think it's funny.
Do you do this to scare him or is this like real?
It's just for the past few months.
I don't know what it is.
I must be going through something where like my boobs get big and sore before my period.
And like I'm like, what if this is big and sore?
And he panics.
Yeah, he doesn't think.
He sees no sense of humor about it.
And I have a sense of humor about it.
Yeah.
I mean, I would actually think it would be reversed where you'd be freaking out and he'd be like, well.
Because I'd have to go through the pregnancy, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't need to get more deep into this topic.
But then I go, what if I got pregnant on my spirnal lactone?
And that freaks me out.
So anyway, I'm a crazy.
Spirylactone?
Spirnalactone.
It actually, it lowers your testosterone.
It's from my skin.
And you can get pregnant from it?
No, no, no.
If you get pregnant on, you're not supposed to get pregnant on it.
Oh.
Yeah, so that's what kind of freaks me out.
I thought you said from it.
That freaks me out in addition.
No, not from it.
Do you do average for them?
That's what our producer goes.
No, I love spurnalactone though.
It's been on it for a long, long time.

Can we go back to Joan Vassos winning the Courageous Women Award in New York City?
Yeah, let's talk about that.
Joan's late husband, passed away from pancreatic cancer.
and she has been a big advocate since having her platform.
She was recently in New York City to promote her participation in the pan-can purple stridewalk.
And while she was there, they awarded her the 26 Courageous Woman Award, which was really awesome.
She took a picture, posted on Instagram of her in Times Square, reflecting on the moment.
She said, one honor to be a recipient of the living abundantly with Sarah V.
Courageous Woman Award.
And she just said that she's really appreciated for them recognizing her work
and allowing her to have a space to share her story.
Final headline is this.
And I think you're going to, I have some questions here.
Yeah.
Bachelor Nation's Jade Roper reveals she makes the money in Tolbert marriage.
I was surprised that she posted this.
I saw this on a store.
I was like, damn, bold girl.
Yeah.
Not in like a sassy way.
You know, I mean like, wow, that's like finance.
You're being very financially transparent with the audience.
You sure are.
But also, I mean, you know, my wife and I dual income in.
And that's awesome.
It's so great.
I would tell anybody to do it if you could.
But I always thought Tanner made decent money to do it.
I mean, I thought he had a job and a career.
Is he not?
They asked about who.
who makes the finances in the house, you know, how do you all afford?
And she said, Mama makes the money in this house.
But he is really great at handling the finances and investing it for us.
We make a good team.
So that is what goes on in their house.
But Tanner has made a lot of money in the past from different ventures.
So he used to work at the car dealership.
And he was in a managerial, like, upper.
Yeah, he's doing financing at the area.
Yeah, yeah, at the dealership.
And then when they moved to California,
he got into, like, day trading and stuff.
Yeah.
And different kinds of investments.
And, I mean, the man would spend the entire day
as if, like, he was a professional trader.
And he did very well doing that.
So whether Tanner is not going to, like, do anything for the long run,
I don't really know.
Is he still doing that?
But, like, right now, no.
Like right now, like as of this year, he hasn't been doing anything.
But I say that, but like they've been working on the house.
It's not like he sits on his butt all day.
You know, he takes care of the kids.
They just split that and, you know, all that.
But, you know.
He's taking time away from.
He's taking time away.
Yeah.
It's interesting because Tanner was always very successful.
He obviously had made good money in the past.
They do, I mean, in California, they had a really nice home.
And in Kansas City, they have a very,
nice home and it's just interesting to see and kind of hear that he is taking a step back
because he's always been very successful.
Yeah, it's kind of like there's been some years where she's made the load and some years
where he's done it.
So it's kind of a back and forth.
I think from this, though, you would assume that she's the one that has always made the money
