My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is the Almost Famous Podcast with IHeartRadio.
Hi, everybody out on Almost Famous OG Land.
It's Trista, and I'm here with Daisy.
Hi, my faves.
What a Bachelor Nations faves.
How are you?
I'm so good.
How are you?
I'm good.
It's been a while since we last saw each other.
When did we do that?
Last year?
It was six months ago or something.
Was it in the summer?
So we, so Charity and I filmed the Mabelian commercial right after it.
And it was, that was part of, oh gosh, who seasons?
Jens.
Because we were in Seattle for Jen's season.
Thank you.
You're right.
Yeah.
So it was Jen's season.
So it couldn't have been a year.
No.
Right?
It had to have been summer because I think she filmed over summer.
Yes.
So we haven't seen each other since then.
And I got to come to Venice and support you and your, what was that hosting thing for?
It was with Spotify.
Spotify, that's right.
They had me be like their like coastal cowgirl.
Yes.
So I was like hosting a couple of their events.
Yeah, and you and charity surprised me and show me.
Oh, we loved it.
I had so much fun that night.
It was just fun to like have a girl's night.
Yeah.
It was really fun to have a girl's night.
And then in Seattle, we went out like I.
Yeah, please. I'm 51. I have teenagers, right? They're the ones who probably should be partying, even though I don't think they are. They're too busy to party. But we were out until, gosh, I want to say four in the morning. I think so. We were out really, really late. It was so fun. I loved it. I had so much fun. And actually, we went to Molly and Jason's for dinner.
Yeah. And then I was a great time. I was going to go home, like back to the hotel.
Yeah. And I was, so their home is like in the suburbs. So I was like, I'll just ride back with you guys in your Uber. And the Uber takes us to the club that you guys were going to. But it wasn't, I thought it was going to be near the hotel. And you guys were like, well, just come. I'm like, just kidding. You have to come. Okay. I guess I'm going to party. So we went to. It was so much fun. It was so fun. It was funny. Because when we got back, someone had posted a TikTok of me online and they were like, I swear this is Daisy.
but I asked her and she said no it's not
and people were gone and they were like
well did you see her cochlear implant and
they were like yes we did
and I was like well it wasn't me
because we were like not supposed to be known
that we were there oh really
you did literally say no
I'm not Daisy but here's my cochlear
I had my hair like slicked back and I had it like
on the outside so you could totally see
that is
so funny
okay so how's life
it's good
it's good yeah yeah I
here you already told me this so I'm asking you a question that I know the answer to but how's dating life dating life is great I'm really happy yeah I'm so happy for you thank you I mean we talked about I asked her in the limo right over here we're at the bachelor mansion for everybody listening a little I heart event and podcasting event and in the limo I asked if she would go on paradise and I was
Like, no, I have a boyfriend.
She has a boyfriend.
You know, I know everyone would love to see you on Paradise, but everyone is more happy that
you're happy.
Thank you.
Yes.
Of course.
He's great.
So you guys are long distance currently?
Yes.
How's that going?
It's good.
I mean, we see each other still really often.
You do.
Probably every week.
Yeah.
Every week?
I mean, it's such a quick flight.
And like I feel like I'm traveling so much.
So sometimes he'll come and meet me.
but he also travels a lot to you, so sometimes I'll meet him.
That is.
What does he do?
He does, like, commercial real estate.
Okay.
Yeah.
So he can leave.
Yeah.
And just schedule clients, like, you know.
Kind of, yeah.
When he, yeah.
I mean, I feel like every job these days, you can do the Zoom.
It's mainly like weekends.
Yes.
We see each other.
But, okay.
Yeah.
Good.
And are there plans to be in the same city?
Probably.
I think in the foreseeable.
future, yes. Okay, good. I love it. Okay, holiday plans. What are you doing for the holidays? I am actually
leaving tomorrow. Okay. Going back to Minnesota and I'll be there until the 26th with my family.
Great. And he's coming with me and then on the 26th, then we'll fly to Utah and be with his family and go like skiing there.
Where in Utah? In like Park City, Deer Valley. Yeah. I love Park City. Yeah. So good. Have you been? I have. Are you a skier?
I okay so when I was younger I used to ski and then I started snowboarding but now I'm getting back into skiing so I'm working on it is he a skier or snowboarder he skis okay yeah is that why you're changing yeah and I can just I can go faster on skis so I can keep up with people better um how is it with your hearing on the slopes like so it's interesting I was really nervous about it because I hadn't really skied since I got my cochlear implant and then my friends we always
from college we always went up to Big Bear to ski
probably like a couple times one of our guy friends has
his parents have a place up there so we would go stay there and ski
and so this last year was like my first year
having my cochlear implant and going up their skiing and I was nervous about it
but I went and I like tried on so many different helmets
and I just bought a helmet so I didn't have to worry about it
but it's kind of fun because I can play music into my implant
so I don't have to wear headphones or anything
so I'm skiing down the slopes I just play it into my head
That's amazing.
And I can hear pretty good with it still through.
You can.
The helmet?
Yeah, which I didn't think so.
Is it like a special helmet?
No.
No.
Amazing.
Maybe you need to like create one.
Yeah.
That's actually a great idea.
Maybe I should.
You should.

Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Is there any favorite tradition that you have with your family during the holidays?
Um, we always do like takeaway bingo and stuff with my second family.
Sorry, what's takeaway bingo?
It's like bingo, but once all the presents have ran out, and if you get a bingo, then I can steal your present.
Like a white elephant?
Kind of.
Yeah.
But their presents that people have bought, like, for other people specifically.
No, they're just like, honestly, though, that would be crazy.
We should do that.
You should.
I bought you this, Daisy, and then someone's like, I want it, someone's like, I want it, someone's doing.
It's like the one thing you ask for.
Oh, my.
Can you imagine?
No, that would be horrible.
But then, you know, whatever.
I'm sure you figure it out.
Maybe you have to stay within a certain range.
Yeah.
Don't steal my $500 gift, but you can steal my $5 one.
Yes, exactly.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, I don't know.
We just do fun things like that and just being with my family.
But it's weird, well, not weird, but all of my cousins were all kind of around the same age.
So everyone's, I think it's like the span within 10 years.
years and so everyone's like getting older now like people are married having kids so now everyone
has like other families too that they have to be with so the last couple years like we haven't
been able to be together like all of us cousins together and we're all like oh wait we're like
grownups like what's happening oh wait um and how many cousins are there are you together all this
this Christmas this summer no we're not going to be together but there's how many do I have I have
four on my mom's side and two on my dad's side but now everyone's like having kids and we're also
very close with my like extended family on my mom's side like all of her siblings yep and like one of
my mom's okay this is what I'm saying a lot but my grandma's family my grandma has like six
siblings and like some of them are like closer to my mom's age than my grandma's age so like their
kids are more so our age like a little bit older than me and my siblings. They're like your great
answer. Yeah. Okay. But they're like they feel like cousins. You know what I mean? Yeah, of course.
Because you're at the same age. Okay. So you've done a ton after the show. Yeah. Bachelor, obviously.
What has been one of your favorite things that you've gotten to do? Like opportunities or
I would probably say, okay, I have, I would, I'll say three. Okay. Great. I love it.
So I love the Daisy brand stuff that I'm doing with Daisy.
Just because that's, it's been so fun.
It's authentic.
Yeah.
And it's something that like when I was a little girl and I would only, I like didn't like eating breakfast, but I would only eat like cottage cheese or milk and strawberries, which is weird.
But that is what I wanted when I was a little girl.
Yeah.
I mean, I mean not all three together, but.
Oh, I thought that's what you meant.
No, like I would either eat cottage in the morning or I would eat like strawberries and milk as like serious.
Got it.
But it's just funny.
I love it.
But I love that one.
And then Cochlear Americas, which is the implant brand I have, that one has been so fun and so cool just because I like went to their annual sales meeting.
And most people that work for them are audiologists or have an audiologist or have some really close tie to hearing loss or cochlear implants.
And so just meeting all them.
It was like a crazy full circle moment.
There was somebody that was actually in my surgery.
because they have to test the electrodes when I was put under.
And there was a lady there that was in my surgery when I got it, like, almost now, like, two years ago.
Did you, like, bust out crying?
Yeah.
And then the, when I found out how to do a cochlear implant, my surgeon gave me, like, a support group to go to.
And the lady that was running the support group who, like, introduced me to people who have them and was like, this is how much better you're going to be.
And, like, here, she was there, too.
And she, like, came up and I just sort of, it was just, like, I was like, who would have ever.
ever know, like my life would change.
I know.
And you watched you on the show, I assume.
Oh, my gosh.
I love that.
Yeah.
I mean, obviously, there's something to be said for, like, fun opportunities, like the
Spotify thing, like special forces.
Yeah.
But when it's personal, it's a whole different ballgame.
Yeah, definitely.
Cool.
But I can't wait to watch you on special forces.
We were talking about it a little bit.
It's crazy.
Yeah.
It will be.
really interesting. Like I told you guys in the limo, um, when I saw the trailer, I died laughing
at myself. Doing like the hardest thing I've ever done in my life besides give birth.
And I'm laughing at myself. Oh my gosh. It's going to be so cool. Your kids are going to be like,
oh my gosh, my mom's so badass. I don't know. I mean, I hope they are. You know, I hope they are.
And they are proud of me. That was one of the reasons.
that I did it, you know, I want to show them that they can, yeah, do hard things and pick
themselves up when they fall down, even though I was hoping I would never fall down.
I fell down plenty, but you got up.
Exactly.
It's right.
But I got up.
That's what matters.
I love seeing you.
You too.
I love chatting with you.
You're such a light.
Aw, we'll write back at you.
I love you.
I love you.
Thanks for coming on Alma.
famous O'G's. Thank you. Thanks for having me. Of course.
Of course.
