Starting point is 00:01:00 the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. Does anyone know what show they've come to see? It's a story. It's about the scariest night of my life. This is Wisecrack, available now.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:02:09 And we're locked in. That means more juicy chisement. Terrible love advice. Evil spells to cast on your ex. No, no, no, we're not doing that this season. Oh. Well, this season, we're leveling up. Each episode will feature a special bestie, and you're not going to want to miss it.
Starting point is 00:02:24 My name is Curley. And I'm Maya. Get in here! Listen to the Super Secret Bestie Club on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This is the almost famous podcast with IHeart Radio. Hi, everybody. It is Trista and... Bob.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Hello. Hi, Bob here. You forgot my name. It's okay. It's been a while. I understand. Bob, getting here, everyone. You might remember me from such hits as...
Starting point is 00:02:55 Almost Famous The OGs.Gs. Hey! Great to be back. Hi, everybody. It's the Almost Famous OGs. And Bob and I are back together again. We haven't been, we haven't done a podcast together in a while. We've done a few, like, of our own.
Starting point is 00:03:12 But we haven't done a podcast together in a while. And I'm so excited because this is a fun little game and I love a game. So I will say, though, that I was. coming in hot today from a dude ranch me and my family went to a
Starting point is 00:03:31 dude ranch it was amazing and the Wi-Fi was super spotty so thank you to the almost famous producers for making this time work
Starting point is 00:03:42 because I could not get home before so anyway I am a little dusty in just physically but also in my brain so if I don't
Starting point is 00:03:54 if I don't make my words well today for my words my thoughts i am really sorry but i'm just coming off of a really fun vacation so um but it's good to be back it's good to be back i miss you i missed you it's great to see you when you first said dude ranch i'm like was ryan with you so i'm glad to hear that it wasn't that kind of a dude ranch um yeah what kind of dude ranch is that hey man anything goes these days i don't know you know how these kids are no No. I thought it was so funny. You're like, I'm at a dude ranch. I'm like, like riding horses and stuff? That's awesome. Yeah. Lots and lots and lots and lots of horses all around. They actually have 140 horses on their property.
Starting point is 00:04:39 140. And every morning and every night, you could watch them come from pasture into the corral or go from the corral to pasture. And it was so beautiful. I just, I could tell you guys all about it. I'll post about it on my Instagram, of course. But, but yeah, it was so much fun. But I am really excited to be back with the AFOGs. And we'll do our game in just a second. But before we get there, did you watch Bachelor in Paradise? Because I rushed home to watch Bachelor in Paradise so that we could talk about it because, hello, it's new and exciting. And I only got through the first like two hours. It's three hours long. But I definitely have some thoughts.
Starting point is 00:05:24 So what are your thoughts? Were you able to watch it? I was. I was able to watch a lot of it. And then I watched a really good synopsis of it earlier today, too. And then I've also got firsthand combos that I've had with a couple of our Goldens that are on site, which I will not give up any information. On site, where? They are on site.
Starting point is 00:05:46 They were on site in the BIP area. Oh, understood. Yes. They're not on the show yet, but they know stuff. And I was enjoying my conversation with them. Yes. So I've got some good, some good info. And so I'm not going to spoil it.
Starting point is 00:06:05 So I'm going to hold it. But, yeah, after I watched it last night, I was talking to, I actually pulled a couple of my buddies even a few nights ago. And I sent over some information that the general feedback was. And, you know, it's interesting. You know, there's, as we know, in our little community, you know, a whole new showrunner, a lot of, I think almost all new producers, probably a lot of new camera people, probably a lot of new everything that are affiliated with the BASR franchise
Starting point is 00:06:32 now, given like the regime change that went down. And, um, yeah, yeah, the regime. And it's, I think there's probably some, some positives for it, you know, and probably some things that, uh, some loyalists are struggling with a little bit, you know, I mean, definitely a new look, right? Definitely new look to the show. some staples of course we've still got jesse and we've still got wells in the house you know so that was that was some solid new stuff hannah came on to the show right which is
Starting point is 00:07:04 awesome yeah i love her i love her addition yes yeah i loved it too i thought uh i thought it was it was great to have her on there she's such a little sassafras i can't imagine she's not going to bring some some interesting uh you know energy to the show and um i love and then the goldens are coming. Like we all know the goldens are coming, right? That's the horse kept secret in television. So, very excited about that too. No, they posted about it. They're not secret about it. I can't wait. I, I, you know, you're saying that some loyalists are having a hard time with it. And I will say when it first started and, uh, I can't remember. Spencer was the first person. And he just walked in and he was like, oh, is anybody here? And I was like, oh, they took away the like,
Starting point is 00:07:51 Jesse saying, you know, like welcoming to paradise, welcoming them to paradise and letting them, you know, letting them walk the walk. And I kind of miss that. But then I was like, you know what? That wasn't necessary. Like I feel like it actually, I really love the look. I feel like it's really like high definition, vibrant colors. Like the Costa Rica location seems beautiful. Have you been to Costa. Jamaica before? I have. It was one of Ryan and I's favorite, most favorite vacations or me and Ryan's, whatever you say. See, I told you words are not going to be easy for me today. But, I'm not the grammar police, so you're good. Okay, good. Thank you. So I love the coast. It looks beautiful there and the fact that, you know, they are in air conditioning and at this gorgeous hotel. And it seems like there's a lot to do. And it seems like they're also going to, and I don't know this for sure, but by the like the preview of what was going to happen,
Starting point is 00:09:00 when they kind of rewinded from, they started, you know, with a shot of the very last day, how it was left, like trashed or whatever. And then they kind of rewound and went back to the beginning. It looks like they're going to do some challenges, like they had on Bachelor pads.
Starting point is 00:09:19 So I'm thinking it's going to be, and I could be completely wrong, but I'm thinking that it's going to be kind of a mix of, yeah, like a hybrid of Bachelor pad, Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise. The Bachelor Games, you know. Yes, exactly. Like, I feel like that's kind of the vibe. And I really actually like that because I, like I just said in the beginning, I love games. and I think that'll be a really cool way for them to learn about each other and see if they're people that they vibe with. I don't know. Well, I think it's interesting too. A lot of the, like I said,
Starting point is 00:09:59 a lot of the purists are complaining that, you know, why are we making this thing look more like Love Island and why is it, you know, stuff like that? You know, and I think from the, from maybe from the, you know, 30,000 feet, maybe that it looks like that's what's happening. But I just think to a certain degree you know the show needed to be refreshed a little bit and i think that that's kind of cool um i thought the uh you know bringing in the games part of it like they already started with some of the challenges even with the stuff where it was like revealing the faces and things um and then the money element you know uh i think that's going to be interesting yeah you didn't make it the third hour right so yeah in our chat our producer just um mentioned that there's a money element and i just wrote back 500 grand oh my god half a million
Starting point is 00:10:42 dollars are you kidding yes this is old for because you know back in the day i think the show was probably so down top heavy they couldn't afford to you know they'd pay everybody minimum wage now all of a sudden 500 grand's up for grabs and what i think is going to be really interesting about that trista is you are all of a sudden i mean let's not kid ourselves you know i don't even know half the people that walk into bathroom paradise half the seasons you're going to have all these people now start coming out of the woodwork and being like i'll come on you know because It's going to have that element of Survivor meets the Bachelor, right? And I think it's going to do, you're going to see people's true colors, too.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Like, you know, there's still some bad blood based on the old basterpad days when people would do the old date and switch and take the money when they thought they were splitting it and all this kind of stuff. I mean, this could unearth some interesting behavior. Oh, for sure. I mean, money does crazy things to people. So, you know, adding that element, gosh. as like the purest of the bachelor and the bachelorette like you know i i love the love story i love the people are there for the right reasons all of those things and um i don't know
Starting point is 00:11:56 oh my god 500 000 but but they didn't say who's going to win the money they didn't say you have to do this this and this to win the money they didn't okay no no it's it they basically just introduced, well, not to my knowledge anyway, but they basically just introduced the idea of the cash, right? Yeah, okay. But, you know, one of the things I've always loved, and this is, you and I've been friends for 20-some years, and I've always loved this about you, because you are a purist, and you obviously have, you know, one of, if not the greatest, I'd say arguably the greatest love
Starting point is 00:12:30 story of the show of the franchise, but it's interesting because you look at, I've always been a little more cynical, right? Like I start watching, especially when I'm watching the In Paradise shows and the, you know, the guy, you know, like Nick Viow coming back for the 14th time. I'm like, you know, at the end of the day, it's like, you just, we're famous for being famous at this point, right? And I started getting a little bit, you know, a little more jaded about it. But I do think that, you know, $500,000, that's life-changing money, right? That's not, I mean, $100,000, don't get me wrong, right? $100,000 is amazing too.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Yeah. 500 grand. It's like, if you've been kicking around Bachelorville for a while and you're sort of like, you know, you've been going to the opening
Starting point is 00:13:13 of a couple envelopes and a few strip malls and you're feeling like you're kind of at the end of your wick, this is a fresh candle, baby. We're lighting this thing right back up again. 500 grand, boom, here we go.
Starting point is 00:13:23 That's crazy. I kind of wish, we'll transition onto our game just after this thought, hopefully. But I wish, you know, selfishly that maybe they
Starting point is 00:13:36 would give the money to the longest lasting relationship. I don't know. Well, that could very well be the case, right? No, they're not. And the winner of the $500,000 prize is Trista and Ryan. We haven't even been there. But see, then I'll tell you what, though, then I would chime in. I'd be like, hold on. I'm still close with Trista and Ryan too, so I should get a split. I'm the second longest relationship. And the last thought, actually. I got a shout-out. Bailey said,
Starting point is 00:14:10 I want to find the Ryan to my Trista. I was like, oh, I love you. I was so sweet. Love you. Bailey's now my favorite. Yeah, Bailey. You want Bailey to win.
Starting point is 00:14:22 All right. Okay, that was so fun. I'm actually really excited about Bachelor in Paradise. It has been too long of a break. It always is a great summer. binge and it seems like there is a great cast already. Yeah. A great cast.
Starting point is 00:14:44 So I'm really excited. Plus, let's not kid ourselves. That show had a lot of successful relationships from it too, right? Like, I mean... So many. I think even more probably than more than probably the actual Bachelor has. I think you're probably right. Yeah, I think you're probably right.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Ashley and Jared. Ashley and Jared, Jaden, Tanner. There were a couple of... I think breakups from the most recent season, but I definitely think they, they, there's some great relationships to come out of the show. So I hope that will be the same for this season too.
Starting point is 00:15:18 And they'll be rich. Okay. Yeah, and they'll be rich. Holy cow. Okay, so Ashley and Ben did, did this little game. Is this, what does it call the Celebrity Bachelor? Like two months ago. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:33 So it's, it's the Celebrity Bachelor World. And it's a competition between you and me and the, yes, our fans are going to weigh in on which Bachelor world they would want to watch. Okay? Yeah, I know. Stakes are high. I was going to put a little twist on this because I knew you'd be going from the Bachelor as our questions. And then I was like, well, maybe I should do the Bachelorette version. Oh.
Starting point is 00:16:02 But it's okay. It's okay. But then we can compare apples to apples. That's right. Valid point. Hashtag valid. I'm with you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Okay. Okay. So we're going to go through the questions. And basically, you and I were allowed to pick any celebrity. So it could have been, it can be actresses, actors, athletes, podcasters, whoever you think, as your famous people. They just have to be celebrities. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:36 And then, you know, you can defend your choice if you, I don't know, say somebody is a little wild card. You have the chance to defend yourself and explain, as do I. So at the dude ranch last night, every night we kind of sit in the rec room and the kids play pool and foosball. And me and the moms just kind of hung out and had drinks. and I gave them all this sheet. And I was like, you have to help me. Give me ideas. This is not fair.
Starting point is 00:17:11 This is not fair. Whatever, you can ask anybody. So I was like, give me ideas. And this, it could be a celebrity that is single, that is married, that is engaged. It does not matter. It can be anybody, just basically a celebrity. So this is like just dream, just a dream version. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:32 A celebrity bachelor, right? Okay. Yeah. Okay. So, location for the celeb bachelor mansion. Where would you like your location to be? Well, my location is in Abitha. Ibiza.
Starting point is 00:17:46 The reason why is I've always wanted to say that, because I spelled I, B, I-I-Z-A, it's Abitha. And I've always wanted to say it like that. Have you been to Barcelona? I have not been to Bartholona, nor have I been to Abiza. But however, I wouldn't like you to go to Abitha. You've been to Barcelona and Abiza? I have been to both. And yes, Abitha was very fun.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Yes, I love Abitha for our location. Where would you want it to be? So I thought, you know, the international locations are amazing. But I kind of wanted to keep it in the United States just because I feel like we need some good U.S. vibes, like good positive. And a lot of people don't like us. overseas right now. So I didn't want to take anyone overseas. You want to risk it. Yeah. You don't want production getting shut down.
Starting point is 00:18:39 So I said the U.S. Virgin Islands. Oh, well, and that holds a special place to you as well. Exactly. That was where our bachelor, bachelorette party was. Yes. Yes, exactly. One of those islands. I can't remember which. But it was not St. Barts. No, I don't think so. It was the U.S. version of St. gosh, I can't remember. St. James? Thomas? I can't, I literally can't remember. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:07 I thought it started with a D, but maybe not. Okay, so we both got... David? No, there is not a St. David. No. I mean, there is a St. David, but not a St. David Island, right, yeah. There should be. Okay, so we've got, we both got beach-beachy locations.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Okay, show host. Who is your show host? Show host. Well, I went first. last time. I'm going to let you go first this time. Okay. Who would be your ideal show host for this? And you can't say me.
Starting point is 00:19:36 Okay. Well, I'm going to say me. Which now you know why I was going to say you can't say me. Because I was saying me. That's awesome. I love it. I love that we both did that. And you know why?
Starting point is 00:19:55 Because I want to be there to watch all this go down in person. and to get the chance to meet all of the people on my bingo card. Yeah. We better, you know what, I think you and I would be the great, you know, the great Jesse and Hannah combo, you know, but we'd be together co-host style. I love that. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:21 My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to. school week on the okay story time podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally
Starting point is 00:20:46 inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast
Starting point is 00:21:07 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hello, it's Daniel Official. Rider Strong. And Wilfredel from PodMeets World. And we're bringing you Viva Las Content. That's right. We are back in Las Vegas, the city of sin, and
Starting point is 00:21:24 giving the people what they want. A full week of Y2 content. Wait, we're back in Vegas? Tell me why. Well, for the Backstreet Boys residency at Sphere, of course. We sat down with Kevin Richardson and A.J. McLean just minutes before they took the stage, and our very own Wilfredel basically became the newest member of the band. Boy band, please. Plus, the man who has the longest running comedy show on the strip joins us and gets his props. It's carrot top, baby. And finally, we all, L-O-V-E-Hur, Ashley Simpson-Ross,
Starting point is 00:21:58 joins us to talk about her upcoming sold-out Vegas residency. It's a full week of nostalgic interviews you don't want to miss. Listen to PodMeets World on the I-Hart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hola, it's HoneyGerman, and my podcast, Grazie's Come Again, is back. This season, we're going even deeper into the world of music and entertainment, with raw and honest conversations with some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities.
Starting point is 00:22:24 You didn't have to audition? No, I didn't audition. I haven't audition in, like, over 25 years. Oh, wow. That's a real G-talk right there. Oh, yeah. We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture shifters,
Starting point is 00:22:37 sharing their real stories of failure and success. You were destined to be a start. We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs, and those amazing vivras you've come to expect. And, of course, we'll explore deeper. topics dealing with identity, struggles, and all the issues affecting our Latin community.
Starting point is 00:22:59 You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching? I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me. But the whole pretending and code, you know, it takes a toll on you. Listen to the new season of Grasasas Come Again as part of My Culture Podcast Network on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. My name is Ed. Everyone say hello, Ed. Hello, Ed. I'm from a very rural background myself.
Starting point is 00:23:23 my dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin, so like, it's not like... What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago. I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear. On 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family. And then he came to my house. So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Starting point is 00:24:03 A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage. Available now. Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A foot washed up a shoe with some bones in it. They had no idea who it was. Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable.
Starting point is 00:24:29 These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. A small lab in Texas is cracking the code on DNA. Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny you might just miss it. He never thought he was going to get caught. And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha.
Starting point is 00:24:57 On America's Crime Lab, we'll learn about victims and survivors. And you'll meet the team behind the scenes at Authrum, the Houston Lab that takes on the most hopeless cases, to finally solve the unsolvable. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. your turn who's your bachelor okay my bachelor well i did not have a squad of women at a dude ranch helping me come up with these answers well this was my decision they didn't chime in
Starting point is 00:25:34 until later yeah i did however have one woman helping me canyon yeah jumped into help me canyon really wants it to be leum hemsworth uh chris hensworth's brother yes yeah he's got a thing for him and she was like but the only caveat is then I would probably need to be able to go on the show just as a plant just to be you know in there and I'm like oh sure yeah that makes perfect sense obviously I mean you know is is he on her laminated list oh is that what you call it the laminated list yeah yeah he's on the uh the uh what do you call it the exemption list like I can't get mad list or whatever yeah exactly he's on that list I'm sure so yeah that would be The Canyons Bachelor would be Liam Henswood.
Starting point is 00:26:19 How about for you? Oh, this has been a man I have had on my list since day one. He's been top of the list. And he is recently coming right back up to the top again with his new movie out. Hello, Brad Pitt. I mean on. Come on, ladies. You love Brad Pitt just as much as I do.
Starting point is 00:26:41 So, yes, Brad Pitt is my bachelor. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I can't wait to watch that. Okay. I like, so far, just to recap, we're either going to Abitha or one of the U.S. Virgin Islands. You and I are hosting, makes perfect sense. Liam Hemsworth or Brad Pitt. I'm going to go hands down.
Starting point is 00:27:02 You win that one. There's no question on that. I wanted to say Brad Pitt. I was going to say Brad Pitt. I was going to say Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Okay. And now we're on to the villain. No, we're not.
Starting point is 00:27:16 We're on to the contestant most likely to show up in a costume getting out of the limo. Oh, you know what? I have mine out of order. That's true. Okay. Contestant most likely to show up in a costume. Okay. I'll let you determine the order moving forward.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Okay. So contestant most likely to show up in a costume getting out of the limo. I said, uh, chapel ron. Chapel Rone. Okay. I like that. She loves a good, like a fun. Pink pony show.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Ming, man, mauny, peatoo. Not pink pony show. What is it? Club. Oh. Pony Club. Okay. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Has gone to a million different eyes. All right. So she's a contestant and she's coming out of the limo with the costume for sure. Mine is going to blow your mind. Because I might even request the meat suit. I want Lady Gaga. That's who I want. She was actually, she was the first person I said.
Starting point is 00:28:08 And then I thought, you know what? Chapel, I feel like is a little more relevant. A little more current. Trendy, current. Yes. There you go. A little more current. But I do love Lady Gaga.
Starting point is 00:28:23 She was actually the first one I said, and then I changed my answer kind of last month. I like that. I like that. Yeah. Great minds think of like. Okay, what's that? Yes, true story. The contestant that cries the most.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Okay, you go first on this one. No, you go first. That I went first the last time. Okay. The contestant that cries the most. And the only reason why I'm putting this person in there is just because she's on my laminated list. Oh And I would hope she'd be crying
Starting point is 00:28:49 Because I wasn't the Bachelor Jessica Alba Oh She cries a lot Jessica Alba She doesn't But she went on the show Because I wasn't there
Starting point is 00:28:59 She'd be like I'm so sad That I was Not able to be up Bob season And I'd be like I get it But don't cry I'm still the host
Starting point is 00:29:09 You're fine I'm here I'm here My wife's with Liam I can be with you She's with Liam and Trista on the other island I got this.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Totally. Oh, my God. I love you. This is one that I asked for help because I could not think of somebody just crier-wise. And so my daughter chimed in and she said, Amaya from Love Island, who I haven't been watching, but Blakesley was like, oh, yeah, she cries a lot on Love Island. So she's going to be my choice.
Starting point is 00:29:43 And please, you don't have a teenage girl. girl or a teenage boy but um love island is all the rage right now and holy cow so hopefully people vote vote for me and amaya and brad pit and chapel and you got a good one going you got a good list going but okay you know i'm going old school classics here i was i was actually um for whatever reason the first thing that popped into my mind when this came up was how much uh this is i hope didn't get me in trouble with the brass. But I just remember Ashley I Kennedy crying so much for Jared. And it made me think of them.
Starting point is 00:30:20 And I was like, I should put Ashley on my list. But then I didn't know I could choose someone who was already like incredibly happy married and stuff. So I was trying to find people that I thought. Oh, got it. Jessica Alba just got divorced. So I'm like, oh, she'd be great up there. Got it. So anyway.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Okay. All right. Next is the villain. Oh, yeah. And for my villain, Originally, I put, and she's just a character on television, but I put Beth from Yellowstone. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:50 She's a good villain. Because she's, you know, got confident, oozing out of her, zero F's given. But I actually changed it because I didn't know if we could have a character. And I just put Kim Kardashian because she is losing confidence. And I feel like she's just like, yeah. Yeah, whatever. You guys can think of me what you want to think of me. I'm just going to, I'm just going to do me. So, that's my villain. I like it. Okay. So I, um, I was not, um, I was thinking of Brad Pitt in this one of the movie In Glorious Bastards. And I thought of the greatest movie villain in my mind is Christopher Waltz.
Starting point is 00:31:33 You have a man on your bachelor? I do. I do. Hey, what? Okay. Look at you go. I'm, you know, I'm equal opportunity for love. I'm literally like, why didn't I do that? Yeah, I love it. Hey. I mean, I'm not going conventional, you know, things here. I'm saying love is love. And Christopher Waltz happens to really love either Brad Pitt or Liam Hemsworth.
Starting point is 00:31:57 And he's on the show and he's an evil MF. At least his character loves. Yes. Okay. Well, that's the thing that kind of got me caught up on this is who is a villain? because in a lot of people's minds, Beth is a villain. Like, she, no F's, but, but she, I love her. But I also was thinking the villain typically is not like a mean person.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Right. She's not mean. She just is misunderstood. And a lot of times she's just like, you know, some of them, some of the villains in the past are people that people think they just want to be in the spotlight. Right. Um, some are people who don't give an F and they just want to, you know, do their own thing, their own way and, hey, more power to him. So, anyway, I like that you actually went with like a villain. A true villain.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Well, and he's probably a wonderfully nice guy in person, but man, his character gets under my skin every single one, you know, every time he's in a movie. But yeah, I couldn't think of a good female villain if I'm being really honest. And now they're just like Beth from from Yellowstone. You're right. She would be good. I love her. Tough customer. Love her.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Okay. Contestant that says the villain isn't there for the right reasons. And I was kind of thinking like who would be feuding, who would be like calling out the villain, quote unquote. And so I said that the contestant that says the villain isn't there for the right reasons would be Taylor Swift. I love it. That's great. I was going to say that too, actually. But for your answer, I mean, I was going to say that as well.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Yeah. That's a really good answer. God, contestant says the villain's not there for the right reasons. I had a hard time with this one. I couldn't think of anybody. And so I just put Kelly Rippa. I feel like Kelly's, you know, she just comes out of the woodwork, you know, says whatever's on her mind. She's going to call somebody out.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Totally. I love it. I love it. I mean, I know that, you know, we've got, we've had, you know, I always had a good relationship with Kelly, but I know that we've had some people throughout the series of The Bachelor that have had not the greatest feedback, you know, after spending time with Kelly. So I figured if anyone's going to call out anything blasphemous on the show, it'll be PIPA. So that's okay. Pippa. Yeah. Love it. Okay, the contestant that crushes it during the talent show.
Starting point is 00:34:25 You go. I got this. Leah Michelle from Glee. She crushed it in the talent show. She's a good one. Love to dance. Love to sing. Let's to do it all. And then she brings it. the attitude she does like this. This is what I do. I don't think that translates as well to the stage or a screen. But actually, you know how I dance, Trista, because I tore it up on your show. Oh, I do. I do.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Yeah. Like a Scottish Highlander. Okay, so my contestant that crushes it during the talent show, I was like, who's a triple threat? Ariana Grande. Oh, my gosh. Yes, good one. She is going to crush it. And she's also hysterical.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And so I really wanted to have, like, somebody who, people who could make us laugh and who give us a lot of personality. I mean, have you ever seen her impressions? Oh, my God. They're so great. I'm starting it live. They're so good. Yeah, I watched them for her.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I watched that show literally, but she's on it for her. So good. Yes, agreed. So I feel like she could do impressions of everyone and just make us laugh. So, besides crushing in the talent show, she's, she is going to make us laugh. Okay, contestant that gets so competitive, they injure themselves during a group date. And for me, this was, I mean, hello, probably the strongest athlete of all time, Serena Williams. Oh, my gosh, good call.
Starting point is 00:35:57 And hello, like, not, maybe not strongest. I know this question, it wasn't who's the strongest athlete, but. I have a feeling that Serena Williams is pretty competitive. Yeah, yeah, I'd say so. I mean, she, you know, to this day, and you know this conversation to this day, my wife gets mad at me whenever someone will be like, you know, you were on bed rest at four months. And she goes, oh, yeah. And then Bob walks and he goes, you know, Serena Williams just won the U.S. Open. And she's four months pregnant.
Starting point is 00:36:23 That went over well. That went over real well. Real well. Oh, yeah. That's a real memorable moment. Not well received there. Yeah. Here again, I went off the ranch again.
Starting point is 00:36:40 I said LeBron James. And here's why. It was why. Because LeBron James cannot admit to losing anything, right? And so he's got a big crush on Liam Hemsworth as well. And he wants to be a part of the show. He's got a big crush on William Hemsworth. Oh, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:37:02 That's really interesting. And he, you know, he's only, he's only good for about, you know, 40% of the season anyway these days. So there you go. So Ron James. Oh, my gosh. You're so funny. Okay. Contestant most likely to say, I'm not here to make friends.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Your turn. Yeah. I got this one. I got this one. Okay. Suki, Suki Hana. Suki. Suki.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Oh, yes. The gymnast. Right? Nope. Nope. Is this Sukihana that I'm talking about? She is this, um, rapper, musician, whatever. Oh. She does this interview. Does this interview. It's one of my favorite interviews that surfaced on the internet with, um, oh my God, I can't even think of her name right now. Robbie. Is that name Robbie? What is her name? Well, she's like the one who kind of plays this role and she's like, so you're a musician. She's like, I ain't a musician. What the hell are you talking about? I play music. And she's like, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Well, you think I make magic? I make music. She's like, right, I'm saying you're a musician. I'm not a musician, okay? What's this lady who's that about? I make music. I do television shows. Am I saying her name, right?
Starting point is 00:38:14 With Bobby Elthoff, yes. So is that how I say Bobby Elthoff? It is epic. So anyway, I love it. And it's like one of the greatest things I've ever found in the internet. I watched it 500 times. And so all I could think of was like, you know, someone would be like, yeah, I love,
Starting point is 00:38:29 I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to make music. I'm here to be an actress. Good answer. That's a good one. The Bachelor, you know, yeah. So, yeah, so it was a little obscure, but I thought it would really resonate with our people. No, that's good.
Starting point is 00:38:45 I need to go watch that video because I've never seen it. You really do. Oh, my God. I do. I will. Okay, I chose for, she would say, I'm not here to make friends. Rihanna because yet again Oh, nice
Starting point is 00:39:03 Doesn't give enough She just is She's just there to win Brad Pitt's heart And I think she has a really good shot And she's not there to make friends She's just going to, you know Do all the things that people who are not there to make friends Do on The Bachelor
Starting point is 00:39:19 Yeah, no, it's very true It's very true I remember on my season She, I remember she was from New Orleans and she was like, I don't care. I don't want to be your all's friend. And I'm like, oh, my God. Now, I did not know this, right?
Starting point is 00:39:37 Of course, we don't hear all these things. So I just thought she was like super cute and really fun. And people are talking about her. And she's like, they keep talking about me because I'm here for you and I'm not here to, you know. And I'm like, wow, okay. You know, you don't realize in the moment. And we were so early on in the franchise of the story, we didn't even know there were people like this that were doing these things.
Starting point is 00:39:57 So, you know, in my mind, I'm like, oh, she's just really, really dedicated. You know, she's really here for the right reasons, you know, and then you find out that, you know, she's just fighting with everybody. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging.
Starting point is 00:40:27 out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now hold up, isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not. To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK

Starting point is 00:44:10 My name is Ed. Everyone say hello, Ed. I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin.
Starting point is 00:44:43 And then he came to my house. So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage. Available now. Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Do you know what's interesting?
Starting point is 00:45:16 I've always wondered, and I don't know if anyone has ever researched this and actually gone back and watched, but when did that tagline start? Because it really truly is like the ultimate reality television tagline. But when did it start? I think it might have been her on my season, in all honesty. I wonder. Because I remember, I remember it coming up that season. And I was so upset because, you know, I love making friends. And so I was like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:45:45 That's one of the greatest parts about this. Like, I'm still buddies with everyone from my season. Like, it's great to make friends from this experience. I actually wonder if it's my season. And not my season, the Bachelor, the first one. I wonder if it started then because I kind of feel like Amanda might have said something like that. Like, you know, I'm just going to be me. I'm not here to be friends with you guys.
Starting point is 00:46:09 I can't remember. But, yeah, I would really. love to know. I think it'd be interesting to know, too, because ultimately, it could have been Amanda saying that to y'all, but maybe it didn't air. You know what I mean? Like, maybe, yeah, who knows? I'd be, I'm sure someone's probably done the homework to find out when the first time it aired. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And that may well have been, you know, the woman who made it made a book out of it, too. Who knows? Okay, um, contestant that experiences a weird medical emergency during filming. All right. You tell me this one. Which was a hard one for me. Like, I
Starting point is 00:46:42 was like, I kind of was like, who's a hypochondriac? Like, maybe it's a hypochondriac moment. And then I was just kind of like, maybe it's just someone who is, how do I say this? A little quirky right now. Clumsy. I don't know. I said Britney Spears. Oh, wow. That's a really good one, actually. That's a really good one. I mean, she is doing dance moves from the 90s. Yeah. And with knives, knives and stuff. So maybe she's, like, doing a dance, one of her, like, bl-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-spinny.
Starting point is 00:47:19 She's always twisting an ankle. Yes, exactly. So maybe she's doing, like, their spinny moves with her knives. In a thong, in her kitchen. Right, exactly. And she has a weird medical emergency in the Bachelor Mansion. Who doesn't? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I like that one. I think that's really good. Your list is very good. My choice goes back to my daytime soap opera days. Okay. I'm going to go. It was Susan Lucci. Okay. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Erica Kane, as she was also known for many years. La Luch, literally, I mean, if you look at the history of that character, she was in the hospital. She, you know, was dead. Oh, well, duh. It's a soap opera. Exactly. Exactly. Point made.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Thank you. Yep. That's mine. Oh, gosh. Okay. I like it. And I felt like, she. might be the one person who's probably gotten injured more than Britney Spears. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:48:17 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Then I was going to say Christian McCaffrey because he was my starting running back on my fantasy football team last year and got injured like half the season. So I was going to say him too, but I decided to go with Lucci, trying to get a female in the mix. Yes. We have a McAfree connection that I'll tell you with about afterwards. Well, then you'll like my next answer. Okay, good. Contestant most likely to friend zone the Bachelor, but enjoy their time at the mansion. What would you say? Here again, because she was hoping to be on my season, Olivia Culpo. She was hoping to be on your season. Yeah, she was hoping. She thought she was coming on. She thought I was going to be there. She, uh, come on. She's like, why are you hosting?
Starting point is 00:48:58 I heard you were part of the show. I, then I don't want to friends on this guy. Yeah. Is she also on your laminated list? Is that where we're getting at? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, she's right up there. But I actually know her. Like we've gotten to know each other over the years. So it's kind of like I can't really have run my list anymore. But I've always enjoyed her. I think she's so, she's so awesome. And I actually really like her and Christian together. So. Yeah. It's really funny because I feel like your list is all people that you have on your laminated list. And my list is all people that I just want to meet, like that I want to be friends with. Well, I had to come up with all these women for everything, and I'm trying to, like, you know. I think it's great. It's a challenge. All right. Who's yours?
Starting point is 00:49:45 My friend zone, because they're friends, is Julie Roberts. And I have to meet Julie Roberts. I mean, she's definitely part of my cast. So, yes, she is most likely to be in the friend zone, but loves her time in the mansion, has so much fun. It's always laughing and happy. So, Julie Roberts. No, I like that. She is.
Starting point is 00:50:05 I love what I think I know of Julia Roberts. Yeah, right. Like, I just saw this thing that they might be doing a pretty woman too. And I'm like, and then I found out it was like an internet hoax. And I was so sad. Oh. Wouldn't that be great? That would have been amazing.
Starting point is 00:50:19 Please do that. Please. Movie. Richard Gere just won't do it. I don't think Richard Gere will do it. Oh, yeah, true. Okay. Contestant, most likely to self-eliminate before a rose ceremony.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I always think of the self-eliminators as people who are just super confident, maybe come across as rude sometimes, probably not always rude, but, you know, they just are super confident and they're like, you know what? Why waste people's time? So I put Nikki Glazer because I love her. I do, too. Oh, my gosh. I actually, like, I could totally see her being like, hey, peace out, Brad. You're not for me. You're not my cup of tea.
Starting point is 00:51:02 see you bye. Yeah. No. I get it. I get it. Well, mine is because if Liam Hemsworth is the bachelor, then of course, Miley Cyrus would self-eliminate, right? Miley Cyrus, she's on the show because she was hoping for, you know, to reconnect, but she just doesn't feel it. She still hasn't gotten over his games and she's done with it. That's a good one. Miley. Yeah, smiling. That's a good one. Okay. Next is contestant most likely to interrupt and steal the bachelor while on a group date. My contestant most likely to interrupt and steal the bachelor while on a group date is actually Miley Cyrus, which is so funny that you said it for the one right before.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I could totally see her being like, my turn, I get him, I'm taking him, I'm not saying I'm sorry, you know? Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I could see that. Let's see. Mine will be Rosie O'Donnell. Oh, okay. Wow. Rosie O'Donnell.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Yes. We're throwing her in the mix. Or I could go Rosie O'Donnell or I can go Whoopi Goldberg because here's why. Okay. I feel like anyone except for Meredith Vieira, anyone who's ever sat in that seat on the view interrupts everybody all the time. Mary of the year, she let everybody get. But man alive, I'll tell you what.
Starting point is 00:52:24 That is so funny. Yeah. There you go. I know. I remember, I remember being at the tenets. night show and I was sitting like I was in the hot seat what right next to um Jay and then all of the people from the view were next to me and it was Barbara right next to me and everybody else and that's exactly how I felt I was like okay well I'm just not going to say
Starting point is 00:52:52 anything because so I was a I was a regular on that show for a long time and I went through when Meredith was in that chair and then Rosie I never made it to win um Whoopie was there. But, um, so I'm going to go with Rosie as my final answer, uh, just, just to specify. But, um, but I remember at one point thinking, why am I even here? Like, I go out there and do all these field segments and they come here to talk about it and I can't get a word in anyway. So what the hell am I doing?
Starting point is 00:53:18 You know, it's kind of like, do all these makeovers and all these cool things. And I would just sit there and watch everyone argue for 40 minutes and be like, all right. Thank you. We're going to get to my segment here. Are you doing this? Clorox paid for it. Yeah, let's go. So, yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 00:53:35 All right. I think we're even right now. I think we're very, very close to being even here. Okay. Well, you go first for this one, the location for the finale or the proposal. And this is our final question. Okay. So this is, I thought long and hard about this.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Okay. And I feel like we're going to take it all back to where it began. So we're going to go back to the former Bachelor Mansion that is. has now been probably torn down. Yeah, the one that Firestone and I both stayed in. Yeah, or it burned down in the fire. Or it burned down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Yeah. It got, but I think it actually got condemned and leveled beforehand. But we're going to go back to that spot. Really? Because that's where the whole thing began, right? And this is probably going to be our end-all be-all. So we're going back to the old Bachelor Mansion. And that's where we're going for this one.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Because I feel like we've got to get back to basics. You know, we're getting so far meandering around this whole thing. The thing that made the show good wasn't the location, it was the people, but I still think that the location had a little something to do with it. They made that place look pretty romantic and pretty beautiful. So that's where I'm going. Back to the original bachelor's amazing. Okay, that's really funny.
Starting point is 00:54:44 You say that because I said the original Bachelorette mansion where Ryan and I got engaged and because it was such a, you know, a lucky spot, if you will, for the franchise and for me and my hubby. Yeah. I said go back to there. And I have no idea. I don't even know the address or even the town. I cannot remember what town it was in.
Starting point is 00:55:12 It's funny that you say that. Do you remember? So I remember the mansion, of course, right? Because we were in a, we stayed in a different mansion than you, of course. But when we did our meet and greet the whole bit. And I remember thinking to myself how much prettier your mansion was than even the original bachelor's, because I remember thinking. how pretty it was, how lovely that backyard setting was.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Now, granted, the Bachelor Mansion had the infinity pool looking over the ocean and everything, but you just had this gorgeous yard that was like sprawling. I mean, that place had to be, I mean, that has to be a next level home, you know, but I could never find it. I used to drive by the old Bachelor Manchin's all the time, and I couldn't find your mansion. I looked all over for it one time. I was like, I wanted to show somebody where we filmed. I was like, I can't remember where it was.
Starting point is 00:55:57 It's up here somewhere because I remember going to a restaurant before. hand, Ryan and I, Jamie Blythe, they had us all go to this restaurant to kind of like hang out and wait. They did? Before you started? We got to use the restroom at the restaurant. Oh, before you got in your limo. Yeah, before we got in the limo.
Starting point is 00:56:18 So we came to the hotel. We were kind of like circling, you know, and then we would go in and we'd run into this restaurant if we had to use the bathroom or something. And I remember we were right up the hill from it because we were the first limo, right? So we left and we went right up the hill and we were there. and we're like, oh my God, here we go. You know? That's so cool.
Starting point is 00:56:35 But I can't remember the name of the restaurant. To be honest, I feel like it might have been a Bucca to Beppo or something like that. I mean, I feel like Carbone would know. You should ask him. I should. I should ask him. He would know. You should.
Starting point is 00:56:45 But look at us. We're both the OGs going back to the OG mansions where we both got our starts. I love it. I love it. I love it, too. All right, people. Who is your celebrity bachelor world that you would like to watch? mine with Brad Pitt, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Bob's with Liam Hemsworth. LeBron James. Yes. And LeBron James. I mean, it's an eclectic cast. I have an eclectic cast on this show. Right? Lady Gaga's going to show up.
Starting point is 00:57:16 I mean, I got some good stuff. You do, for sure. Oh, my gosh. I just, I would, like I said, I am so excited to be the show host and actually watch all of these people interact. And it's like that question that you, you know, people ask like just hypothetically, who would you invite to dinner, you know, the eight people that you would like to invite to dinner? A lot of the people on my list. Well, that list is probably full from, you know, from this list. They get invited to a lot of dinners too, I'm sure. I'm sure. I always throw in like Abraham Lincoln in there just because I feel like, you know, I think it'd be interesting. You know, I have someone. Elvis Presley is always on my list. That's always a good one. But I like to your list. I got to be honest. I think. there were a couple moments where I like your list better than mine and a couple of moments where I like my list better than yours. So I feel like, you know, there's some good, there's some
Starting point is 00:58:07 good stuff in here. But yeah, I thought that was really good. I thought that was a really fun list. I thought yours was very good. I love it. Yes, I love it. I love it. Now, what are you most excited for? You got, you've been dude ranching. You've been, you know, beaching. And now we are getting ready right around the corner. No, beaching. I have not been at the beach. No, not yet. I'm going to Mexico and the end of the life, but, um, but, uh, yeah, the dude ranch. It was just so, because it's not, it's like unexpected. You know, my dad has been wanting to go for years and years and years and years. And so he invited me and Ryan and the kids and then my step sister and her family. And it was just a big family fun fest. And we met great families there that I think
Starting point is 00:58:55 we'll actually stay in touch with crazy enough. Um, that's, that's awesome. That's awesome. And just got to live the ranch life, surrounded by lots of horses. We actually did a rodeo where we, like, did the barrel, like the barrel, like, yes, I did on a horse. Good for you. You do a barrel race. You do, like, a pole thing where you swerve in and out of the, of the poles. Oh, my gosh, this was the best. So we did an egg tossed, and you had partners.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Ryan and Blakesley were partners. And at first they start you maybe like five feet away from each other. Okay. Yeah. And then literally the second step was they move you like 30 feet away from each other. And then like 50 feet away. Or I'm probably exaggerating. Are you catching it with your hands?
Starting point is 00:59:39 You're catching it with your hands. Yeah. Okay. And so they were like, gosh, forever away. I mean, it had to be at least 40 feet. And Ryan chucks the egg and probably threw it a little bit too hard. And Blake's leg goes like that right in front of her face. And it broke all over.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Oh, my gosh. Supposed to be good for your hair, I guess, right? I know, and your skin. That's what we kept saying. So, no, it was just really, like, really good family, fun, you know, escaped. Were there a week? Weekend? How long was it?
Starting point is 01:00:14 Yeah, a week. We were there for a week. Wow. It's so cool. Yeah, it was so fun. Good for you guys. Well, our next trip around the corner for you and I together is coming up to our big pickleball tourney coming up.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Have you guys been practicing? I'm not at the Dude Ranch, but yes, I mean, I play pickleball pretty regularly. And I don't know if you even know this, but I, I reached out and I was, maybe it was on our group text. I was like, you know, we always do these golf tournaments. Can we do a pickleball tournament? Because I have pickleball and I know there's tons of other people who love pickleball in
Starting point is 01:00:45 background. Yeah, I remember you bringing it up. And I remember the next thing I know, we're getting a flyer about it. I'm like, hey, here we go. It's really super fun. I'm so excited. I can't wait. I've personally never played, but I'm super excited.
Starting point is 01:00:57 You haven't? No. But I'm incredibly, I'm going to be the guy, I was going to put myself on the list as the guy who injures himself in the middle of a contest because I will probably, I'll probably blow a knee to doing this, but I will not quit. So, I'm excited. So you're going to be addicted, I promise, after this. And then we're going to obviously do lots of podcasting. So it's going to be lots of fun. I love it.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Well, I always love hanging with you, Trista Sutter, Ney, Ren. If you guys want to make sure you check it out, we'll put it on our social so you can vote and, you know, tell us who you think has the best. best list. I mean, you could even put your own list together if you want to peel from ours, right? I mean, who knows? Sky's the limit here. But I'm excited and I got to be honest, I wish I would have thought I have the people on your list because you have a pretty damn good list there. Always great hanging with you, my friend. And thanks for this great idea. Have a wonderful rest of your day. And we'll see you guys all here next time on the AFOGs. Bye, everybody.
