I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack, where a comedian finds himself at the center of a
chilling true crime story.
Does anyone know what show they've come to see?
It's a story.
It's about the scariest night of my life.
This is Wisecrack, available now.

Every case that is a cold case that has DNA.
Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime.
On the new podcast, America's Crime Lab, every case has a story to tell.
And the DNA holds the truth.
He never thought he was going to get caught.
And I just looked at my computer screen.
I was just like, gotcha.
This technology is already solving so many cases.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.

This is the Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hi, everybody.
It's Trista.
And it's Bob,
Almost Famous, the OGs,
doing a little Dancing with the Stars breakdown
of last night's week two episode,
which I don't want to,
I want it to be noted
that I would never spoil the outcome of the show
for anyone, not even on a text thread, myself personally, but I will say this, for our listeners
and our viewers who maybe haven't watched it yet, there will be discussion of what happens
at the end of this episode.
So, spoiler alert, we're going to get into it because shocking, it was shocking for me.
Good job, because honestly, I hate spoilers.
One of my biggest pet peeves about social media is that people think, oh, well, she's interested
in this show or that show.
and I should just write her and talk to her about it
when she hasn't watched the show
and they tell, like, tell me without me asking.
So if you ever want to, like, write someone
that you don't know, that you do know,
maybe just ask beforehand.
Like, hey, did you see last night's episode?
Yeah.
Did you see last night's episode?
You want them to spoil it?
However, that goes.
But, yeah.
I know what you mean, T.
I know what you mean.
Thank you.
So, yes.
Spoiler coming.
spoilers are coming guys and we're going to get into this because first of all let's just say this
it was oscar's night at dancing with the stars which meant that they were songs that had been
oscar nominated songs and julian huff looked like an oscar statuette she looked absolutely stunning
didn't she always i swear she is one of the most beautiful women and i have been lucky enough
to meet her i was at the i think hundredth episode of dating
dancing with the stars and they had like a part, or maybe it was during my season.
I can't remember, but in person, her eyes are like.
Oh, yeah, electric.
It's unreal.
Electric blue.
They are so beautiful.
And yeah, I, she is, she is stunning.
I, yeah, I love her too.
Personally, like I interviewed her a few years ago down in Nashville for something we were
doing right at the Grand Alopry and then at this other facility out in front of something.
And the whole time I was just like mesmerized.
I mean, she is, and then, and then she's a very sweet person too.
You know, like, it was kind of funny that I used to always host the fanfare down in Nashville.
I did it for seven years in a row where it'd be like, I'd be on stage.
It's like, you know, everyone's packed into Tennessee Titan Stadium and it's everyone playing
from Kenny Chesney to Keith Urban.
And I'm like, what's up, everybody?
That's so fun.
One of my favorite jobs in the world.
And I did it for seven years in a row until one year I was replaced by, you know,
Julianne Huff, Taylor Swift, and somebody else.
And you would have thought that I would somehow be like, what?
How could you replace it?
No, I'm like, yeah, this makes perfect sense, guys.
First of all, T. Swizzle.
And then Julianne Huff, I just interviewed her.
And hello, I think I'm in love.
So, yeah, she can take my job all the other.
Yeah.
I loved her.
I thought she was super fun, really cool lady.
But it looks stunning, great host on the show.
I like that.
She and Derek are both on there together in different capacities.
Same. And I love Alfonso. Like, he's just so good. He, I was really sad when Tom,
me too. When Tom left, but Alfonso has done an amazing job. He has. And he's, he's good
at that stuff, too. And he's so passionate about dancing. Like, he's really good, too. So,
yeah, I agree. Anyway, yeah, so the show was Oscar night. We're watching all the songs from Oscar
related things. I will tell you that, uh, Joey from the Bachelor franchise, you got Joey and Jen for
anyone who's uh you know joey looks like he could be a professional dancer i don't know what the
hell's going on but it's like the dude is he's not a dancer from from what i know uh you know i mean
it's like all of a sudden this dude is like blossoming into like a ballroom dancer and he's
super good he has great coaches i mean the fact that he has jenna but also because he has jenna
he has bowel too.
So, like, one of the biggest things, the hardest things for me when I was on the show
was that, you know, as a dancer in my previous life, I always learned better watching
someone do it in front of me.
So I can mimic what they're doing, right?
So, like a copycat.
Well, isn't, and I mean, to be fair, though, that's how you would even, you know,
from like the routines as a Miami Heat Girl and everything else, that's how you would learn.
And the choreography, the person they did choreography would be leading and you'd like get behind her and start doing the same stuff.
Yeah.
Exactly.
So you learn from somebody else doing your exact moves, right?
Yeah.
And so when I was partnered with Louis, he would be like, okay, you do this and this and this.
I wasn't watching him.
He was kind of like telling me, I'm very visual.
And I wasn't watching him do it or another female do my part.
So the fact that Joey has vow to like come in and be like, this is what it's supposed to look like.
I think probably, not that he could have couldn't have done it without that,
but I think it's a huge help to have someone be able to come into your rehearsal space
and help you as that part.
Yeah.
Oh, totally.
Plus, I mean, let's not forget, right?
When you were doing the show, it was the first season of the show or the second season
of the show.
First.
Yeah.
And it was like, you didn't know, you know, I was thinking about this last night.
Two things I thought of last night that I think are both applicable to.
you. So one was you didn't know what you couldn't, couldn't say, right? Like, yeah, I mean,
like we look at The Bachelor now and it's like, you know, now they're like, hey, I want to bring
this girl back because I didn't give her a flower and now I want to give her one. They're like,
okay, back in the day, you know, it was here are the rules. You follow them. Done. And so we didn't
know what you didn't know. And I mean, from your perspective, you didn't know what you didn't
know. And your vernacular when it comes to dancing, I'm sure, even though I know you have,
you know a bunch of broad interest and stuff in dance but you were like really hip hop and you know
and that type of stuff and so now you're in ballroom and he might say you know I want you to do this
like and say the name and you're like what the hell's that yeah yeah and you could have been intimidated
back then like am I allowed to ask am I do I have to you know and I was thinking last night too
not just that but and this is both things I want to hear your opinion on um secondly I was thinking
you know I know this is going to come off as funny but it's not meant to be okay what a hard
What a hard job these judges have.
And I know that, like sitting behind the table going, you know, with Bruno, oh, you know, that's, that's not difficult for him.
But when you've been brought up your whole life as a dancer, right, and everything is about precision and accuracy, and now you've got to watch these people just murder your craft, right?
Like, just wreck it, you know, and things that you've worked out of your whole life to be perfect.
And you've got like, like, if I were out there, I'd be like, you know, hey, it'd be like terrible.
And so for them to find a positive thread and not just look at it as just disastrous every
time someone steps on the floor, I was thinking last night because, I mean, there's reasons
why, you know, that they've all been there for as long as they have is because they're also
great at promoting positivity, even when they know they're watching a train wreck, you know.
And but yeah, so I want to hear your thoughts on that because I was going to say, I felt like
it had to be really hard in the beginning for you not knowing what to say when someone's
like, then I want you to plie and you're like, what the hell's a plie, you know, or whatever.
Yeah, I know that's interesting.
I, um, I, I, I was so flipping clueless back then because ballroom really wasn't something that I,
it wasn't something that I ever studied.
I remotely knew about it from like the commercials with the Fred Astaire commercial, you know
that, that, do you know what I'm talking about the store?
I do actually.
The like shop, the dance studio that you could go and take class of that.
or like, you know, random movies or like the old school like Fox Trot stuff.
You know, that was that was the only knowledge I had at Ballroom.
So thankfully, I feel like nowadays people have, have a lot more knowledge of what Ballroom is.
The show has brought like everyone knows about it.
There are millions of people who now know about it because of dancing with the stars, which I love.
So yes, it was hard.
But it was just plain hard.
It was just, you know, just really hard just because it was brand new, all of it.
Right.
And then, yes, for them, it's kind of the flip thing.
Like, they have so much knowledge of it and they kind of have to squash it down in order to really lift these people up.
And that's, I feel like that's a conscious choice because they could very well be like,
Oh, yeah.
Are you kidding?
Like, that was ridiculous, you know, or whatever.
Because they are so used to perfection and excellence when it comes to the details.
You know, I remember, I was thinking about this last night, in our rehearsals,
Louie was very much all about placement of your hand.
This is where it's supposed to be in this particular dance.
This is what your foot is supposed to be doing.
This is what your leg, like your head, your whatever, you know, like all of it.
Very detailed.
And he started with that.
It was never general.
It was never general.
It was very specific.
And I wish that I had been on the show later
so that we could have started more general and not, like,
I feel like because it was him and that's his thing.
Like he's very specific, which I love.
But also it was really hard because I feel like now,
in this first two seasons of the are two episodes of this season um they are very like they're doing
very general moves like derrick pointed out um closing doors or sliding doors it's in the rumba it's a
move in the rumba and i think that that was joey's dance um he Derek credited them for doing
sliding doors and i know that louis got such like pride when a judge would point out that we
included very traditional parts of whatever dance we were doing.
So I love that, but I will say it is very hard for these judges.
I think that I've always thought that.
It's amazing to me that these judges, especially Carrie and Bruno, or Carrie Ann and
Bruno, have been on the show for so long, and yet they can continue to come up with new
things to say.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, it's like how many people have been on their show?
show so many and how can you not say like the same things and I'm sure they say similar things
but um it I really give them kudos for for doing such a good job at at lifting these people up
giving them some positivity when they could completely just be like oh just shut up yeah yeah
that was rotten yeah well let me ask you this too and this is this is something that I just thought
of um what's Dwight's partner's name Daniela and Dwight that's
That's it. Daniel And I knew it was something like that. And there's such a height difference.
I mean, so for you and Louie, was it weird that it was the opposite because you're so much taller than Louis?
Ah!
Just kidding. Louis, you know I love you, brother. I'm just teased. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Definitely not taller. I am five, too. I'm probably, I don't know if I'm taller than Anna or what I don't know. Anyway.
I think you guys are, I think she's like 5.1 or something. Oh, that's, yeah, she's tiny.
she's tiny okay so last night i want to hear who your favorite was but holy cow she continues to impress
me chandler i thought i thought she should have been given a 10 like if it was later in the
season i guarantee you she would have yeah they're saving it they're saving it they are totally
saving it i will say this when she first got up there daniel and do i'm sorry i knew it was something
like that um when uh when they got out there i legit forgot who the pro was for a second
right i was like i was like wait who is this dude because i was like you know because the chick's obviously
a pro so who's this dude and i'm like i don't recognize that guy i should be on this damn show
you know and then all of a sudden i like oh no wonder i don't recognize him because she's the celebrity
and she's i mean yeah she's awesome like absolutely awesome she is so talented like derrick said she was born to
dance. Like, I really hope that she's one of the ones after this show that gets like an offer
to do Broadway or something because she- Something.
So amazing.

You didn't have to audition?
No, I didn't audition.
I haven't auditioned in, like, over 25 years.
Oh, wow.
That's a real G-talk.

And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles, and all the issues
affecting our Latin community.
You feel like you get a little whitewash?
because you have to do the code switching?
I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me.
Yeah.
But the whole pretending and coat, you know, it takes a toll on you.

Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro,
tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards,
you may just recreate the same problem a year from now.
When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan,
starting with your local credit union, shopping around online,
looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable.
Listen, I am not here to judge.
It is so expensive in these streets.
I 100% can see how in just a few months,
months. You can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just
stick your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not
going to go away just because you're avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse.
For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple
podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. The Super Secret Festi Club podcast season four is here.
And we're locked in. That means more juicy chees-me. Terrible love advice.
Evil spells to cast on your ex.
No, no, no, no, we're not doing that this season.
Oh, well, this season, we're leveling up.
Each episode will feature a special bestie, and you're not going to want to miss it.
Get in here!
Today we have a very special guest with us.
Our new super secret bestie is The Deva of the People.
The Deep of the People.
I'm just like text your ex.
My theory is that if you need to figure out that the stove is hot, go and touch it.
Go and figure it out for yourself.
That's us.
Where is that?
That's us.
My name is Curley.
And I'm Maya.
In each episode, we'll talk about love, friendship, heart breaks, men, and of course, our favorite secrets.

Let's talk about Joey for a second because I, like,
Like I said to you earlier, I feel like that dude is blossoming into a really great dancer.
Yeah.
It was almost like, it was almost, I mean, first of all, Andy's like starting to look like gasto or something.
I mean, in every episode, he's got his shirt hardly on.
It's like watching Fabio in the old, I can't believe it's not butter commercials.
It's like, you know, he's like all, you know, and but he's killing it.
Like, he's really doing a great job.
And he and his partner are just like really vibing, which is really awesome to see.
and yeah, I mean, I was really impressed with him last night.
Very impressed.
Very impressed with his composure, with like everything.
Like his placement of his hand when he, like, is holding her.
And they're really connecting on stage.
Like, not just on the, you know, the footage that you see from rehearsal.
I feel like their connection is legit.
And even more kudos to him because, again, Val comes in the studio.
is helping him and to do that kind of stuff with with um because i think we brought this up last
week to dance so like seductively with partner and her husband is the one teaching you and like
in the room with you saying you know whatever get closer get tighter well you know let's be honest
though i think you know it's become sort of a thing right like the the lead uh you know from the
from the series will go on to dancing with the stars as their next thing when it sinks up
and timing-wise.
And our show does not have the greatest track record, successful relationships.
And I think a lot of that comes from insecurities.
And people go on to this show and they're dancing with their partner and their chosen one,
the betroth that they pick from the show is sitting back home watching it, you know,
which I don't think is necessarily been the case so far with Joey and Kelsey.
But I think that it sort of takes the stigma away of him having to dance seductively and connecting, you know, with a passionate look or whatever.
So even if Kelsey weren't there as much as I think she has been, but even if she weren't and she's watching from home, knowing that vows a part of those rehearsals, right?
Because this is sexy seductiveness and it is getting close and it is, you know, I mean, if you've ever hung out with dancers, you know that they're very body aware and they're fine and they're comfortable.
And so, you know, for something that may be uncomfortable for someone else to watch or see, isn't uncomfortable for a dancer.
And so I think a lot of times some of the relationships, you know, that may have been kind of shaky, would go into dancing with the stars.
And that was like, that was a final nail on the coffin, right?
Yeah.
Even if nothing happened between them, the dancer and the, and the celebrity.
So I do feel like, yeah, I feel like this is kind of a recipe, a really good recipe, having Val in there and being the guy going, no,
bro, come here. Pull her closer. Hold her by her hips, you know, and all this kind of stuff,
which could be interpreted very differently at home if it wasn't her husband doing it
and saying to do it. Yeah, no, I love that. I love that. Um, one shocking moment that I have
to bring up. And I don't really even want to give her like air time, but I have to talk about
it because I... Hold on. It's the spoiler. Is this a spoiler if you're doing what I think,
if you're talking about it. Yeah. Oh, the disrespect. Like, I was,
shocked.
Anna.
Are you talking about that?
Anna goes home.
Okay, she's the one who got,
she's one of the ones who got booted.
And,
and I can say that because I was the first one
to ever boot on the show,
so I can say booted.
We got, we all got booted.
Well, especially the way Anna was,
we could say Anna got kicked to the curb.
Anna got,
Anna got kicked to the curb.
And Julianne said,
so what are you going to take away
from the show?
And she goes, nothing.
And I was like,
Like, is she trying to be, I was thinking, is she trying to be funny?
Like, I caused her a minute thinking, yeah, there's going to be some follow up with that.
No, okay.
Julian's face was like, like, I love that they both go, you've had a good time.
You know, they basically like, but you, you know, you've had a good time.
Yeah, sure.
First of all, you know, some people, I'm trying to think how Kathy Swartz said this to me one time.
But she goes, you can't make a duck a goose or you can't make a red line, a blue line, or whatever.
get she and she and uh her friends have this saying together kathy and in and sue and all them and um
one of the they say something like that but i remember thinking to myself last night i'm like you know
this this this this girl was portrayed in this movie as a total POS right just didn't care who got
hurt with what she did and was very you know and in fact like literally her first thing she does
when she comes to the united states which is the first time she's been allowed back in the
States for quite some time is to go on this show. And she had an opportunity, even though she was the
first one voted off, she had an opportunity to change people's images of her, you know? Yeah.
And I mean, so here's a big spoiler. First of all, it wasn't, it wasn't Eric Roberts, right? And it wasn't,
what's the dad's name from Erichael, Family Matters? It wasn't those two dudes who I thought for sure it was
them. Yeah. And it ended up being Anna and.
And I hate to say it, Tori spelling, which I was so sad.
I mean, but Tori, I think maybe Anna looked even worse because Tori looked so good in the way that she handled herself.
She's like, well, I'm not going anywhere.
I'm having too much fun.
And then she's like, you know, your kids are here.
What do you have to say to him?
And she looked like she was going to cry.
She's like, you can do anything you want to do.
I mean, I'm not a dancer.
Look at me.
And it was very inspiring and very sweet as Tori always is.
Yeah.
And then you flip the screen over to this other chick.
And she's so like, you know, whatever.
And she had a chance, man.
She had a chance right there to, you know, maybe not be, you know, this total person.
Yeah.
You know what they say.
Fill me once.
Shame on me.
She came on me.
Fool me twice.
No, pull me once.
Shame on you.
Full me twice.
She came on me.
So I feel like, and honestly, I was thinking, is she saying nothing because she was
convicted of grand larceny and so she she took a bunch of stuff from people so is she's saying
nothing because she's not stealing anything from the show but then you know you know that chick
took away some stuff like you know she's got like a purse full of makeup wipes and you know she's got like
you know she's taking all of her shoes i'm sure yeah well they give you no you can keep your shoes
i don't know i don't know i've never been on the show it's like being at a bachelor wedding i've only
I bet it to one.
I bet it too.
I bet it too.
Sorry.
I was like you have not just been to one.
That's a lie.
That's a lie.
So, yes, I was, I was shocked.
I mean, when we were just saying last week, how it seemed like everyone was grateful for being
on the show.
And then get to, you know, Anna.
And she's like, I will take away nothing.
And of course, Ezra, her partner.
I know.
What did you see him?
He was almost like, he kind of went, see?
He was almost like his reaction, I think, even spoke more volumes than what she said.
His reaction was almost kind of like, this is what I've been dealing with.
You know?
So, I mean, I felt bad for him because I know he's a super nice guy.
Oh, gosh.
Like, that's just, even if he wasn't, like, that was so rude, so rude.
Yeah, because he's worked super hard.
Like, I mean, what if she were even to say, you know, she could have even said, well,
I'm really disappointed, but, you know, I'm so glad I have this nice relationship with Ezra.
He's been wonderful to me.
Yeah, the friendship will last forever, you know.
And what I thought was hysterical, Julia Fox came in.
And she said, if this was anyone's sister, then, or their cousin or their friend,
you know that they would want to give this person a second chance, right?
Yeah.
And she's not all that to all these people.
So all these people are like, why is she on the show?
You know, she's a, she's a felon or whatever.
Yeah.
So, and then Julia in the rehearsal is like, she is such a sweetie pie.
Like, she's such a sweetie pie.
And I'm like, oh, is she?
Like, she really proved that that's not true.
Like, I don't know.
Lest we forget, Julia Foxx is an actress.
Perhaps.
Perhaps she was paid to come in there and put on this act.
I don't know.
I'm just kidding.
Yeah, I don't know.
You know what I'm sure it is.
I'm sure it's a defense mechanism, right?
Like when people are hurt or they've, they've gone through stuff, they might come off hardened and, and, you know, her response was probably out of embarrassment.
I mean, you know, even though she wasn't the best dancer on the show, I don't think she was the worst.
And so it's like, you know, to go home on that first night and it's like, you know, you feel like a little bit of embarrassment.
You feel a little bit of, you know, and I mean, at the end of the day, she probably didn't have any fan votes and she can't count on any.
I mean, it's not like she's endeared herself to the American public.
So, you know, how is she going to count on fan votes to save her when her judge's votes weren't good either?
So, but I was surprised for Tori because I thought Tori was definitely, you know, learning to become a better dancer.
But I also know how much people love her.
Like, and they just didn't vote, I guess, you know.
So ultimately they didn't save her, which is a bummer because I think, I think she should have been on there a few more weeks.
I totally agree.
100%.
I love Tori.
I feel like she had such enthusiasm for being there, and I wish to be rewarded in some way, you know.
And she's had such a crummy year.
I mean, getting divorce sucks, no matter how you slice it.
But when you, you know, I mean, we just had my ex-wife on two weeks ago, right?
And it was great.
And it was, like, lovely to see her.
And we still get along nice.
Getting divorce sucks when you, when you go through it.
And it's still someone you care about.
Yeah.
Getting divorced in a really, and it's embarrassing.
when you go through that even when you know it wasn't right and it's probably the right
thing or whatever to go through what Tori's gone through publicly is so
shameful for that dude first of all and
to do that to his family and his children and his wife but it's also like
you know it's also just embarrassing because you don't feel like
like every time someone sees you like and we know how people can be they don't
mean it but like the first thing you know they say is probably something about what she's
going through with her husband because it's always in the tabloids and stuff
so it's like you know i'm sure it's just hurtful and i don't know i but i mean you know to go through
it and to come out and be you know voted off and to be so gracious like she was i thought tory
did great for herself in that regard and i thought like you said anna
ina poop the bed as they say in spain um i do want to say i first i missed it because i was
having tv issues and then i watched it this morning jen um jen was right out the gate
first one to go on the stage.
Yes.
And she had music problems, which, holy crap, that would so stress me out.
I mean, honestly, I've never seen that before.
Oh, my gosh, so stressful.
So I thought she did amazing, especially because she had no music in the beginning,
just like clicks going on.
It's unbelievable.
So great job, Jen.
I did hear there's some rumblings of Sasha called her babe or something in an interview.
And so there's like talk of like the two of them dating.
But then Jonathan came again last night to the show to support her.
And so is she dating him?
Like I thought that they announced maybe that they're dating.
But is she dating Sasha?
Like I'm here for all.
juiciness like i am too i think i think i was going to i was going to ask you about that not not about
them in particular but about someone else that i think there might be a little bit of a love
connection going on brooks right clearly for sure they are actually i was just on instagram before
this and um people magazine just put out something on their instagram page about how brooks
and gleb were like kissing backstage like all night long oh man
Well, they did kiss in their routine.
They did during rehearsal.
Maybe that comfortability just sort of spills over into real life.
I don't know.
Well, I mean, please, they're both hot.
They're both single, it seems.
And they're, you know, rehearsing in very close quarters all day long.
So it's just like if you're single and willing to like attracted to each other,
It seems like they're very attracted.
They have great chemistry.
She did great last night, too.
And, yes, I love that duo.
I love the showmances, bringing off.
I do, I do, I love them.
Yeah, I thought it was a great show last night.
I thought that, and in a weird way, the ending was almost fitting, right?
Because, I mean, it was an Oscar episode, so it could have been, you know, it could have been, like, we got the drama.
We got the, you know, we got the feel good.
rom-com and then we got the drama you know so um yeah but i i thought i thought uh our picks
all did great and um like i said i think the only disappointing factor was for me anyway was
because i really loved tory uh personally was to see her go home and and i thought she was a better
dancer you know but it's interesting i think in those moments too you like we talked about this on
our first episode recap where you know i had heard this was true and i and i'm almost positive that it was
Or that it is rather, was that in the early seasons, it was all about the judge's vote, right?
Because they didn't even really have the fan vote contingent working like it does now, though.
And now it's like the fan vote drives it, you know?
So, I mean, you could be the worst answer and be in the top five, you know?
And it's like, that wouldn't have happened when you did it.
Because it was like a weird algorithm, but it was still the judge's vote, I think, that carried the more significant totals.

Hi, I'm Janica Lopez, and in the new season of the Overcomber podcast, I'm taking you

am I ready to be in a relationship? Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and

Tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards,
you may just recreate the same problem a year from now.
When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan.
Starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable.
Listen, I am not here to judge.
It is so expensive in these streets.
I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you.
It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand.
It's nice and dark in the sand.
Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it.
And in fact, it may get even worse.

Hola, it's Honey German, and my podcast, Grasas, come again, is back.
This season, we're going even deeper into the world of music and entertainment,
with raw and honest conversations with some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities.
You didn't have to audition?
No, I didn't audition.
I haven't audition in, like, over 25 years.
Oh, wow.
That's a real G-talk right there.
Oh, yeah.
We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture
shifters sharing their real stories of failure and success.
You were destined to be a start.
We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs,
and those amazing vivas you've come to expect.
And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles, and all the issues
affecting our Latin community.
You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching?
I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know what I'm me?
but the whole pretending and, you know, it takes a toll on you.

We do have to touch on a couple more people.
Alana, the rugby Olympic player.
When she lifted Allen, I literally was belly laughing.
like hysterical like that was amazing and then she did it again like oh my god i couldn't imagine
so good i have never uh i've never danced with anyone that could lift me my whole life and so i can only
imagine how that had to feel right i think even when i was a baby i was like you know 60 pounds out of
the womb i think i don't know so it's like no one's doing dead lifts with me walking around the house
Oh my gosh. That was such a fun moment. I loved that. The fact that she picked him up. Like,
it was amazing. It was kind of like their answer to the Dwight, the Dwight Howard from the week before, right?
Yes. And then the Olympic gymnast, Superman, he did Superman. I just, he makes me so happy.
With those glasses and his whole story, his backstory is brilliant. You know, I mean, it's like, I love that guy.
I love them.
Like, there are a lot of people on the show this year.
I mean, obviously, you know, even though I have to meet Joey Oren, but in my mind, I feel like I know them.
So I want them in the finals, right?
But it's like, you know, there are so many people that I'm like, oh, my God.
Yeah, that person, I'd love to see them win.
Oh, I really have to see them win.
And Danny Amandolo, amazing.
He did great last night.
And then Dwight Howard, like, he looks amazing too.
and he had so much fun
and he's so joyful.
I just,
there are so many people this season.
Like I,
when the cast list came out,
I have to say like,
oh, okay,
that, you know,
that seems cool.
I'll watch,
whatever.
I wasn't super excited,
but now I am
after watching them every week.
I really feel like
it's such a great cast
and everyone has something
to bring to the table.
I think,
you know,
I think you're right.
I think I was the same way.
Like the cast list came out
and I was like,
okay yeah i know i know her i know her that's cool you know um and so i wanted to tune in to see people
that i'm friendly with or whatever but it wasn't like oh wow what a great pick at the time
and now when you're watching the chemistry of the of the show and you know i feel like i don't know
i don't know why i feel this way but i always thought uh fadra is that how i say i say her name
yeah everyone's name today so um a fadra i you know i guess in my mind i've always thought that
someone other than Lisa Rennah who or and even you know I mean um even Kyle you know like the ones
the people that I know from the the Real Housewives franchise I've always really I've loved I love them
and I've always enjoyed them to Teddy Malencamp all of them yeah but it's funny whenever I see someone
who's coming on the show from something like that I assume they're going to be drama you know what
mean yeah and that's not fair of me to do that but it is just it just is something I'm assuming
And she's so not.
Like she seems like she is just a breath of fresh air, man.
Every time she's out there.
And she's just so like blatantly honest in a fun way.
Like I watched her on traders and loved her on that.
I don't I don't follow real housewives, but I did watch her on traders.
And I think, I mean, she's really fun to watch too.
Like everyone, I feel like I'm missing people too.
Like there's somebody I'm missing.
but they're still they're amazing too you know what i mean like everyone yeah there's not a stinker in
a bunch i will say chanler just stands out to me she should have gotten a 10 last night and i told
i was sitting i was watching with my um my son's girlfriend um last night she was over and i was like
she she should get a 10 i don't think she made any mistakes and um they're not going to give her a 10
because it's like only it's too early yeah yeah because once they give that 10 out they you know
in their minds they can't yeah can't give it out for anything that isn't above that moving forward right
yeah you're right i agree yeah i wonder when i wonder when we'll see our first 10 of the season i'm
gonna say episode four i don't think we'll see any next week but episode four because how many episodes
is this season do you know is it 10 i don't know that's a good question 12 i'm not sure but yeah
but hold on you just mentioned our little guy max has a girlfriend what
He has had a girlfriend since the first day of school last year.
Oh, my goodness.
They've just celebrated their one-year anniversary.
Yes, her name is Maggie.
Love her, love her family.
She is a great heart.
And, yeah, she's been a huge blessing for our movies.
But you guys moved from last year, the beginning of the school year.
So we moved and he started school at a new school.
And they met the first day of him.
Oh, wow.
Cool.
timing I love it I mean I remember I called blakesley or I texted blakesley and you know I was worried about him like she she was coming in as a freshman and they all started as a freshman at our school it's 9 through 12 and he was coming in as a transfer student so it's just you know harder for him because like everyone's kind of more set in their ways you know sophomore year and so I was a little bit more worried about him and I said blakely um who is you know
was he sitting with at lunch? This is the first day last year. And she was like, mom, he was
with a girl all day long. And I was like, wait, what? That's so awesome. And he was with this girl
90 all day long. I feel like there's a way that I could somehow make this, that I'm responsible
for this. Here's how. He had just come off of meeting me in Lake Tahoe and you introduced me as
your ex-boyfriend.
Yeah.
And maybe he was like, okay, all right, maybe I, maybe I'm ready for this because this guy
is super cool.
And we had such great conversations while he was on his phone playing.
That's right.
While he was on his phone.
Yeah.
Playing games and not talking to me.
The whole time I'm like, yeah, Max, man.
So I was, yeah, I was roommates with your dad in the mansion.
And, you know, and he's like, mm-hmm, okay.
Yeah.
And I think, I think I might have just like in the middle of my.
conversation just sort of stopped and walked away because i i could tell he did not care i'm totally
kidding he was very sweet to me he cares it's it's hard for him like you know conversations with people
he doesn't know or oh god yeah it's trust me it's the it's the teen uh the teen dilemma i'm telling you
my buddy's kids my buddy calls me the other day and he's like hey um do you want to come over and
hang out at our house and i'm like uh okay yeah why what's up he's like well you know um and my buddy and i
very similar and he's like just he loves to talk to anyone you know and his kids are so sweet to
me but not they won't talk to him he's like dude he's like I don't know what's going on but if
you're here I can they'll talk and so if I'm asking the same questions they'll answer them
because you're here so do you want to come over and I'm like I'm like yeah so I go can I bring
the boys because my boys love his boy yeah of course I bring the boys over you know his kids
teenagers mine five and three but they're like oh you know they're just dreamy and uh you know it was
really funny but that's really cute i love it not looking forward to those days but anyway oh yeah
and teenage days are you know they're a little bit of a roller coaster but you know you just got
hold on tight hold on tight i get it well always great catching up with you my dear friend and it was
another wonderful episode of almost famous the ogs we will
will, of course, be back next week doing our recap of Dancing with the Stars episode three.
Who you think, okay, we were both wrong this week as to who we thought was going home.
Right?
Yeah.
So the next one will be, well, actually, isn't it in two weeks?
Because I thought they said the ballroom was dark next week.
Oh, you're right.
Alfonso 70 is signing up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so the following week.
So they'll have two weeks to get ready for that next dance.
Probably only one person goes home that night, right?
Or will it be two as well?
I bet because they skip a week, then it'll be two.
Okay, so let's say it's two, hypothetically, all right?
Based on this week's dances, that's all we can do.
Based on the last two weeks, based on what we know, not what we don't know.
Yeah.
Who do you think would be on the chopping bottom?
Let's say we can name three couples that we think will be the lowest three couples from a judge's score.
Obviously, they can be saved by a fan vote.
But if you were to look at who's left in the competition, who do you think would be the bottom three?
I'm going to stick with our guests from, I think we both were on the same page about who we saw.
We're going to go home this week.
And that was Eric and Reginald.
Unfortunately, like, I feel horrible for Eric that he, you know, suffered this horrible car accident and has trouble really with movement.
it. So the fact that they're even trying it, like, I love that he's there. And then Reginald was
joking about how he just can't move, you know? Like, it's just hard for him. Yeah, I feel,
I feel you, Reginald. I feel you, same same. Um, yes, I feel like because there isn't as much
dancing going on with those two, it's kind of like their partners are, you know, shimmying around them
and stuff, I feel like they will, who knows, you know, we were wrong this week, but
I think you're right.
I think the jig is up at that point, right?
Because then it's almost like a disservice to people who are really, you know, able to, and
I get it.
I mean, you know, you almost feel like your age shaming to a certain degree, right?
But I'm the same age as these guys, so I can say whatever I want.
But I think, I think to a certain degree, there is.
there is a part of it that's like, you know, okay, I mean, who are you going to send home then?
Danny Amadola, who's dancing his ass off or, you know, or God forbid, you know, Jen or or Joey
or a whole myriad of other people that are really, I want to watch him dance, you know?
And I think there's a certain charm that Reginald possesses that comes through when he's out there
and it's very sweet.
And I think that could carry him a little longer, but then who goes home in place of him, you know?
So it's like you're starting to get to a point where.
It's like you're going to be down to eight couples and they're all pretty good.
And the schick will only last for so long of, you know, getting out there and not moving, right?
So I hate to say it that way, but that's just kind of, I don't know.
I mean, I'm the furthest from, you know, someone who could critique anyone's dancing skills.
But I am incredibly well known for my running man.
And I think that.
Uh-huh.
You are.
I do a running man much better than some.
Yes, you do.
No, I don't know.
I wonder what will happen.
But I'm kind of with you.
I think that, you know, especially if there's going to be two people going home.
Yeah.
If you look at the rest of that cast list, I'd be hard pressed to say that anyone else should go home before them.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I do too.
I think that they probably would say we've had a great time on the show.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's just it might be time.
Um, it, it all comes down to both judges and, um, fan votes.
And honestly, I feel like people like Joey and Danny Amadolo and, you know, the Olympic athletes, they have a bigger fan base.
So you would think that they're going to get more votes from, you know, people who are probably watching the show more than, um, more than, you know, the demographic of people who.
used to family matters and well and and you said it best too bachelor nation votes man and it's like
you know so i just what i don't want to happen because bachelor nation votes is because there's
two of them for the votes to get split and then you know what i mean so they're getting less
votes because you know people are voting half for joey half for gen or however they're deciding
to do it so right yeah yeah that's a good point that's a really good point
Well, I guess only time will tell.
And we, of course, will tell you the day after.
Yes.
Yes.
All right.
All right.
Thank you for listening to Almost Famous to OGs.
