This is an I-Heart podcast.
Let's start with a quick puzzle.
The answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs.
The question is, what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land?
Jeopardy-truthers believe in...
I guess they would be conspiracy theorists.
That's right.
They gave you the answers, and you still blew it.
The Puzzler.
Listen on the I-Heart.
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The U.S. Open is here, and on my podcast, Good Game with Sarah Spain, I'm breaking down
the players, the predictions, the pressure, and of course the honey deuses, the signature
cocktail of the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very wonderfully experiential sporting event.
To hear this and more, listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain, an IHeart women's sports
production in partnership with Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment on the IHeart Radio app,
podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Brought to you by Novartis,
founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports Network.
I was diagnosed with cancer on Friday
and cancer free the next Friday.
No chemo, no radiation, none of that.
On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast,
I sat down with Warren Campbell,
Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive
to talk about the beats, the business,
and the legacy behind some of the biggest names
in gospel, R&B, and hip-hop.
Professionally, I started at Death World Records.
From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson,
We get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it.

Why are TSA rules so confusing?
You got a hood of you.
I'll take it off.
I'm Mani.
I'm Noah.
This is Devin.
And we're best friends and journalists with a new podcast called No Such Thing, where we get to the bottom of questions like that.
Why are you screaming?
I can't expect what to do.
Now, if the rule was the same, go off on me.
I deserve it.
You know, lock him up.

Hi, Bob Guinea and...
Hello.
Be listeners, how are you?
Yes, the Almost Famous OG Dancing with the Stars Recap podcast.
Yeah.
Starring Trista Sutter and her humble sidekick, Bob Guinea.
Hi, everyone.
I love it, love it.
Okay, great episode last night.
I'm telling you, man.
First of all, there was some, how do you say it?
I mean, we got to recognize the funky, you know, love vibes going on on this season, right?
It's like.
Boogie, yeah.
Yeah.
There's some sexual healing going on out there.
Mm-hmm.
There's definitely some chemistry.
I would love to know.
I mean, obviously.
Brooke and Gleb are, right?
That's her name, right?
Brooke, I think.
I think so.
Obviously, they are having a really good time getting to know each other.
Brooks.
Brooks, yes.
Yeah, I was like, is it, I don't feel like it's Brooke.
Okay, so obviously Brooks and Gleb are having a very fun time getting to know each other.
And I'm here for it.
They are, I love them together.
I do too.
They're a cute couple, man.
cute.
Yeah.
So cute.
Yeah.
And I like it when it's something like that.
Like when it's, you know, two single people, man, who cares, right?
They're consenting adults.
It's all good.
And then you got, you know, then you got all these other like, I mean, but there's just a lot of chemistry out there.
And I actually thought Rosie Perez was a great guest judge.
Loved her.
I mean.
Loved her.
And I didn't know that she was on the original Soul Train.
I loved seeing the video of her.
I used to watch that show.
Did you watch?
Oh, yeah, totally.
I used to love that show.
I used to love that show.
Love that show.
I mean, I loved it.
So seeing her, like, get her groove on on the show was so much fun.
Seeing like Michael Jackson and, oh, gosh, Don Cornelius, the host and all of it.
It was like a flashback.
I don't know.
It was really fun to.
we live like a time capsule like all of a sudden you're back in this time capsule and it's like here remember this and you're like oh my god I remember all of this you know
totally yeah I was awesome I loved it I loved it um I will say I am still like I am full throttle on Joey being in the final like I really feel like he is on that path the judges obviously agree with you I mean they they were loving him last night like he couldn't I mean it's I mean it's I mean it's
And then they're talking about, you know, his, his sex appeal and his swagger on the dance floor.
And, you know, and I just, I don't know.
They've got great chemistry, too, as we've talked about before.
It's like, you know, I didn't peg him for being like this great dancer guy during his season of the bachelor.
You know, and the bachelor, the bachelor before that.
And it was like, but man, that dude can move.
He's, I honestly, I'm going to say it again.
I think it's all about your pro or at least, you know, in some respects.
for some people, it's all about your pro.
And the fact that they have such great chemistry and she seems to be such a great
teacher, like, I just feel like he is, he is on that path.
He's going to be in the final.
I call it now.
I think so.
I think you're right.
I mean, plus his popularity is huge.
So it's like from that perspective, I think if any, if anything, you know, other than
judges' scores, obviously we know a big influence is the fan vote.
And I think, you know, Bachelor Nations turn up for both of them right now for sure.
But I think for him in particular, I think people are really, you know, excited about him and his dancing and everything else.
I would love Jen to be in the final too.
I just don't know if she has the following as Joey.
And honestly, one of the reasons I want to see her be in the final other than like she's a friend of mine is I love the chemistry between her and Sasha.
and I want to see that continue.
Like, I'm here for that too.
It's so, they are so cute.
I'm loving all their Instagram posts.
And honestly, can someone please tell me how do you find, like, is there someone
who's sitting in a cubicle somewhere going, I'm going to pull this little section
from a movie quote and we're going to put it to it.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, I know, I don't get it.
How do you find these things?
I don't know how to find them.
I don't know how to find anything.
I mean, at the end of the day, I'm so bad.
But yeah, I mean, it's definitely one of those things where you're like,
okay, this is getting interesting, you know, constantly something popping up.
And it's like, you know, I don't know.
I think it's pretty awesome.
But I do agree with you.
I mean, I think that it would be awesome to see both of them in the finals.
I mean, that would be unprecedented, right?
First of all, I have two people from the same show on the same season is big.
But then to have them both in the finals, that would be mind-blowing.
I know.
I don't think there's ever been two people from The Bachelor.
on there at that same time yeah no there hasn't been so to see to see them together in the final
amazing i just i just don't know um i will say it was such a strong episode last night like yeah
like we've talked about in the past there is you know there's our front runners like chanler and joey
i feel like we're kind of on the same page about how they're pretty much top of the and they were
top of the leaderboard last night um but then you've got like dania mandolo who's doing great too
he's awesome too yeah i mean i was shocked yeah alona is crushing it um stephen yes stephen is so
freaking cute like rosy peris was like you're just so cute yeah i love that dude too
i mean i'm actually i i love all of them i honestly think it's such a
great cast this year. It is. I think it's amazing. I love this cast. Like, I would love to be
there with all of that, you know, just hanging out because they've been so fun. That might be a
necessary move for Iheart is to have us, you know, a dance floor side doing our live, you know,
recap or something. I don't know. I'm just putting it out there. Put a mic on us.
Totally.
In the audience, that would be so pretty tough.
Oh, my God.
It's the Rumba.
I love that one, two, three side step, cha, cha, cha.
I'd be the worst.
You'd be the one to have there.
I'd be the one sitting in the back at the craft services table, eating snacks.
Stop.
I just want to be, I want to try to hit Dwight Howard's.
Like, you know how Jen tried to like hit a high five from him?
Yes.
I want to do that.
He's one that didn't get a great, you know, score last night from the judge.
as I thought, and that was, you know, understood.
I mean, it didn't even look like they practiced this week.
And I didn't hear, like, what was the reason for that?
Was there a reason for them not having time to rehearse?
So she just said that they had to travel.
It was a travel week.
So I'm sure he had some kind of work obligation or something that he had to do.
Maybe it was family related.
I don't know.
But, yes, the fact that they had to travel and couldn't get much practice in,
it just, you have to put the time in.
And when you can't, you know, honestly, it's really hard to keep up.
Well, you see it too.
I mean, like even if you, even if you are, well, especially when you're not a dancer,
you know what I mean?
But it like we've talked about before, like, you know, it's already kind of a lopsided
thing because you're like this person who's never done this before,
dancing with a professional in front of professionals.
And it's like, you know, so for you to not even, for you to phone it in on any given week,
it's obviously pretty noticeable, you know.
as a bum up for them.
Yeah.
I think they,
they knew that too.
They were like,
you know,
this is,
this is not our week.
And so for that,
I hope that he gets to stay
and get another chance.
But the cast is just so strong
that I feel like anyone,
I do feel like we talked about this last week,
but Eric Roberts and,
Reginald,
thank you.
Yes.
You know,
I do feel like,
it is it is kind of um sorry i'm stuttering a little bit i just want to say this in a kind way
when your pro when your pro has to like tell you all the steps during the dance it's very
distracting like i'm i'm watching and and obviously i love that they're doing it because they're
trying to help their their celeb but i'm i also wish that they just wouldn't or they would just do it
when the camera isn't on them, like when they're turned the other way,
because it is just very, it's just very distracting.
Yeah, it's distracting.
And it's also, you know, God, I hate to say it.
Because I honestly feel like this would be me on that show,
even though I think that I can dance.
I think I would be the one who would just be like, you know,
a deer in the headlights half the time.
Because I can say honestly, I've never understood how, you know,
like you, when you were a heat dancer and everything else,
like the routines and the choreography, it's so,
uh extra you know it's just so big and it's like there's so much going on that i'm sure i would
have a moment where i'd be like oh yeah i know i think everyone does yeah and maybe not there are
some people that learn choreography like that and they can keep it you know in their head i have friends
who still know dances that we did in 1999 or 2000 you know like they still know
dances and it always blows me away like my secret talent is um i can remember all songs so the other day
right in the kitchen and he starts singing that like commercial from the 70s or 80s um my buddy
my buddy my buddy and me i love that song yep i remember that one i sang the whole commercial
i went through the whole thing and i literally said why is it that i can remember
remember a commercial from the 70s, and I can't remember what I had for breakfast.
Like, oh, man, I was just thinking about it.
Like, if I had one of the, I'm like you, I can remember song lyrics like crazy.
I can also remember secret handshakes.
Oh, yeah.
So like, Grayson and I always make up little secret handshakes, and he'll come in,
and he'll go, Daddy, let's do our handshake.
And I'll just do whatever he thinks it is.
And the whole time, I'm like, nope, we should be doing this right now and a couple, you know,
a couple knuckle taps.
But it's okay.
We're going to go where he wants to go.
But in my mind, I'm like, yep, I totally remember this handshake, you know.
But yeah, it's kind of fun.
That's pretty cute.
Yeah.
So I feel like there are some people that just have that talent.
They can remember stuff for years and years and years.
It's like muscle memory.
It's always and then they're never going to forget it.
And there are some people that it just doesn't happen for.
And, you know, as we get older, that just happens.
And so I, like, I love Reginal and Emma's, like, story.
It's just so sweet.
And loving, like, they truly, I feel like, love each other.
because not in a romantic way, obviously.
No, I know what you're saying.
They just have a heart for each other.
I love that.
Eric Roberts and his wife and how he wanted, like, he wants to do it
because it's her favorite show.
Like, I love all of that.
I love the sentiment, but I feel like maybe next week.
What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose
between a maximum security prison?
or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth.
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional
programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline,
physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program
and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming, and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.
Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

My name is Ed.
Everyone say hello, Ed.
from a very rural background myself
my dad is a farmer
and my mom is a cousin
so like it's not like
what do you get when a true crime producer
walks into a comedy club
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke
but that really was my reality nine years ago
I just normally do straight stand-up
but this is a bit different
on stage stood a comedian
with a story that no one expected to hear
22nd of July 2015
a 23 year old man
had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer
walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack,
where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
Available now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A foot washed up.
a shoe with some bones in it. They had no idea who it was.
Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable.
These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change.
Every case that is a cold case that has DNA.
Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime.
A small lab in Texas is cracking the code on DNA.
Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny
you might just miss it.
He never thought he was going to get caught.
And I just looked at my computer screen.
I was just like, ah, gotcha.
On America's Crime Lab, we'll learn about victims and survivors.
And you'll meet the team behind the scenes at Authrum,
the Houston Lab that takes on the most hopeless cases
to finally solve the unsolvable.
Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, and in session 421 of therapy for black girls, I sit down with Dr. Afea and Billy Shaka to explore how our hair connects to our identity, mental health, and the ways we heal.
Because I think hair is a complex language system, right, in terms of it can tell how old you are, your marital status, where you're from, you're a spiritual belief.
But I think with social media, there's like a hyperfixation and observation of our hair.
right, that this is sometimes the first thing someone sees when we make a post or a reel is how our hair is styled.
You talk about the important role hairstyles play in our community, the pressure to always look put together,
and how breaking up with perfection can actually free us.
Plus, if you're someone who gets anxious about flying, don't miss Session 418 with Dr. Angela Neil Barnett,
where we dive into managing flight anxiety.
Listen to therapy for black girls on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast.
or wherever you get your podcast.
Get fired up, y'all.
Season two of Good Game with Sarah Spain is underway.
We just welcomed one of my favorite people
and an incomparable soccer icon,
Megan Rapino to the show, and we had a blast.
We talked about her recent 40th birthday celebrations,
co-hosting a podcast with her fiancé Sue Bird,
watching former teammates retire and more.
Never a dull moment with Pino.
Take a listen.
What do you miss the most about being a pro athlete?
The final.
the final, and the locker room.
I really, really, like, you just, you can't replicate, you can't get back.
Showing up to locker room every morning just to shi-talk.
We've got more incredible guests like the legendary Candace Parker and college superstar AZ Fudd.
I mean, seriously, y'all.
The guest list is absolutely stacked for season two.
And, you know, we're always going to keep you up to speed on all the news and happenings
around the women's sports world as well.
So make sure you listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the eye.
IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Okay, so we're doing the two show, you know, back-to-back episodes.
I have to imagine, I mean, you would, do you know, are they not eliminating this week at all?
So it's going to be next week.
They didn't eliminate it last night, obviously, but I think they're eliminated tonight.
So I think, I don't know how one or both of them.
aren't done after tonight.
It's nothing bad against them.
I mean, they're both, like you said, it's lovely stories.
And I love that Eric Roberts, who, for some reason, you know, I've always loved Julia
Roberts so much.
And I knew that they weren't close.
So in my mind, I always thought he must be a bad guy.
And in fact, you realize that he's not.
You know, I don't, I think my preconceived notions of that relationship are blown out
the water now.
I don't really even care.
But for whatever reason when I was younger, it was like, you know, oh, he must be a bad
dude or something.
And, you know, come to find out, he's not.
he's a very sweet guy to his wife and you know he checked his ego at the door to i mean he's
easily the biggest star who ever been on the show and you know from an acting perspective i mean
and it's like here he is and uh you know and he's injured and he's got all this you know
so much backstory but it's like you know i i really do like genuinely like him now and i think
this will probably help him you know if he wants to be cast in different things and take on
different roles i'm sure being back on the radar in such a major way
They will be helpful.
Yeah.
But it's also, I think it's also time to, you know, step aside now.
And, you know, here we go.
They're going to step it up with these people who are really committed to this process and really good.
And to that matter, I mean, I think if Dwight Howard has another week where he's traveling,
he might be one to go home pretty soon too, you know.
It's like, it's like, because everyone else is just so good.
That's why.
It's not that.
It's so good.
Yeah.
Everyone is so good.
I agree.
I would not want to be a judge.
no god no no it'd be tough it'd be really tough because i buy into all the story too you know like
that's half the reason why i you know i mean even you know we were taught we were taught we a recent
episode where we were talking to meredith it's like you know all the women from my season when i was
when i was the bachelor and i and i did know this from you and i talking before i became the bachelor
but i fell in love with so many other backstories you know and i would find out more about them
and i'd be like oh my gosh you know and you know i remember it was like everything from if someone had
just lost someone in their family and they were still there.
And I'm like, oh, my God, this is amazing.
Or, you know, love of animals.
And, you know, just always that backstory is always so interesting to me.
And I think that would be the hardest part for me being a judge is it would be really
hard for me to look past the backstory and focus on the dancing.
I just wouldn't be able to do it.
You probably do.
I mean, they play a part in whether or not they stay on the show.
It's not the entire part, but they do play a part.
So it would be hard.
I do like how Derek is.
like, it's black and white to me. If you don't give me enough content, if you're, you know,
if you're stepping on each other's feet, if you, you know, clearly make a wrong step, like,
usually it's very black and white and it's all about technique to him, which that's that I feel like
would be the only way I would be able to do it is, you know, and I don't know enough about
bar room, you know, it obviously needs to be somebody like Derek or whatever, but I, I feel like
it would be really hard to put that aside.
I think the Huff family in general, by the way,
has elevated this show.
I mean, like, honestly, God.
Julianne looks stunning every single week.
She's a great host.
And it's like, and then you have Derek who,
the guy is so, you know,
I mean, he's so charismatic that he could host,
he could host the damn thing by himself too.
It's like, and you have these,
and then you throw Alfonso in the mix,
who's always been a great host.
And it's like all three of them together.
And of course, Cary Ann and Bruno and everyone.
else but yeah it's like the show is just elevated this year in a lot of ways and i honestly think
the huff family's the thanks for thank for it i mean when watching it you know i really do i'm a huge
fan huge huge um yes i i think i think you're right they have definitely elevated it and i love
the pros this season too i mean all of them are just outstanding dancers i just saw a story did
you see the story on on something today i don't even know how it popped up in my feed somewhere
Ezra's sister is now, is also a professional dancer.
And I don't know if it's this season or next.
And hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.
But she's all of a sudden being elevated to join the troupe,
the Dancing with the Stars troupe.
And it was like they've been like super close their whole lives,
like inseparable, especially when it came to dance.
And he ended up on the show first.
And now she's going to be on the show.
And he's like beyond excited about it.
And yeah, I was excited to see it.
I don't know anything about anybody, but it's like, I see that stuff.
And I'm like, oh, my God.
I love them.
Yeah, well, it's like Riley and her sister.
Yes.
I follow her on Instagram and why I'm totally blanking on her name.
The Arnold's.
Yeah, Lindsay.
So, Riley and Lindsay are sisters.
Wait, Riley is Lindsay's sister?
I didn't know that.
Riley is Lindsay.
They look exactly the pretty good.
Well, they totally do.
I know, but I guess I just didn't even think about it.
That's amazing.
Riley and Lindsay are sisters.
And then Whitney and Lindsay are like basically sisters because they're close and dance together.
I feel like their whole life.
I want to see them on a show together because I think Riley's first season was last season, maybe two seasons ago.
And Lindsay was having a baby.
And so they haven't had the chance to be on the same season.
But I'm hoping that Lindsay will be put on the next season and Riley still will be too.
and we can have that kind of sibling rivalry, you know, literally.
It's almost like having two kids in the NFL or the NBA or whatever.
It's like, you know, this is dance's version of the NFL or the NBA.
And it's like, what kind of like super genes do your parents have to do this?
Like, honestly, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
I think I know the dance studio that they went to.
And it's owned by a pro from.
my season um and her mom owns it and and it's an incredible dance too the huffs also went there
i believe i think maybe maybe i'm making all of this up but i feel like they were all from center
stage i think you're probably right i really do i mean there's definitely something in the water
somewhere that's kicking out in utah it's in utah they are all such good dancers from utah and we've
competed with them at dance competitions,
you know,
the comps that Blakesley has.
And oh my gosh,
I,
there's a couple there,
Stella.
Oh,
so we'll see her on the show in the future.
No kidding.
Mark my words.
And then,
I don't know,
their whole,
their whole group is just pure talent.
It is so fun to.
This is why I'm going to start watching
Real Housewives of Mormon County because that Mormon thing,
you know,
they're kicking it out.
They're all dancing,
dancing machines.
That's an ABC show, right?
The Mormon thing?
No, I don't know.
I think it's Rob or Hulu.
Is it Hulu?
It's on Hulu, so it's owned by Disney.
But secret lives of Mormon wives.
There you go.
Yeah, I was thinking it was a real housewives of Mormon County.
So I'm glad this is better.
Because I was going to say, I don't even know where Mormon County is.
My guess would be this in Utah.
Ormond County is not a real thing.
I don't think so.
Oh, Bob.
Oh, no.
We need to let Bob go take a man.
Yeah, apparently, apparently somebody didn't get me sleep last night.
I'm going on a couple hours and a bunch of coffee.
Yeah.
But, I mean, seriously, though, think about it.
Like, Julianne and Derek, I mean, those two, an amazing sibling dance pair.
I mean, I'm going to murder the name, but Shemarkovsky or Shemrockovsky?
Shemarkovsky, yeah.
Every time you see these siblings, they all crush it.
They're all, like, wicked, good dances, man.
They are not from Utah.
I don't believe.
No, I would guess not.
From Russia or the Ukraine.
I think they're from the East.
Yeah, they are actually.
I think you're right.
Yeah, because Max was very involved in all of that when it was big in the news, right?
Yep.
Not big in the news still, but I think I remember seeing some posts from him.
Anyway, it was a great episode.
I cannot wait to watch tonight and see, first of all, their dances.
second of all, who ends up making it through and hoping that Joey and Jen and all of our
favorites make.
I do too.
I don't know how they don't.
I mean, honest to God, to God, to, you know, to lose Tori spelling in that first episode,
I still think, I still think that was a little shocking to me and I was bummed.
I don't think we're going to experience that again this season.
I really don't.
I think now it's going to, until we're further down to the thing, you know.
We just need people to vote.
So anybody listening from Bachelor Nation, make sure.
you're voting and getting all 10 in for Joey and Jen and keeping them around for as long as
possible. Absolutely. Yeah. Don't waste any votes and don't skimp on it because I think it'd be
pretty sweet to have a little, you know, two out of four bachelor finale or two out of three. I mean,
that'd be pretty sick. That'd be so cool. I was so fun. I love it. All right. Well, I guess we will
chat again very soon. I love it. I love it. I can't wait tonight. We'll be watching tonight.
and we'll definitely give you our feedback immediately thereafter.
So I'm excited and I can't wait to talk to you then.
Thanks the Almost Famous OG crew for joining us as always.
We look forward to hearing your comments and everything else about the show.
But until then, Trista, it's been a pleasure.
Pleasure.
Bye, everybody.

Let's start with a quick puzzle.
answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs. The question is, what is the most
entertaining listening experience in podcast land? Jeopardy-truthers believe in... I guess they would be
kenspiracy theorists. That's right. To give you the answers and you still blew it.

I'm breaking down the players, the predictions, the pressure, and of course the honey deuses,
the signature cocktail of the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very wonderfully experiential sporting event.
