Listen to the new season of Dresses Come Again on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. This is the almost famous podcast with IHeart Radio. Hey everybody. It's Trista and I'm coming at you from the almost famous OG podcast. We are in Lake Tahoe with Verbo. If you have never used Verbo, I highly, highly recommend. Private vacation rentals, luxury vacation rentals all over the world. And the best part is the early bird is not the only one who gets the worm. If you're a procrastinator, you can be very happy because Verbo has last minute. for private vacation rentals. So look them up. The place we're staying at is gorgeous. The pool outback, gorgeous, hot tub, the view. But most of all the company, I have to say that we have had such an incredible week weekend so far with the first annual. Because I just
Starting point is 00:03:56 found out we're going to do this every year. Yes, it was my idea and I'm so excited about it because I love Pickleball and I love my podcast family. So, anyway, we have had a great time in Tahoe and what I was going to say is the best part about it is
Starting point is 00:04:14 the people and I am here with one of them. Teresa, welcome Teresa from Golden Bachelor. Oh my gosh, thank you so much, Trista. I'm so happy to be here. Thank you. I'm to have you. Okay. So we've played pickleball before together at your wedding. And so I know you've played before. But have you played since then? No, that was the last time I played. Okay. I wonder why.
Starting point is 00:04:43 No, I play from time to time. But then I'll play and then I go four weeks without playing. So there's no consistency. Right. So someday I might get good if I play if I continue to play. You did great. You did great. You were partnered with Leslie in the beginning, right? And then you actually got partnered with my hubby. It was a thrill. I loved it so much. It was a thrill. He sure had a fun time. I think it was in that game that he smacked the ball and smacked me right in the hand. I know. He swore he did not mean that. I saw it. I kind of believe him. Anyway, have you had a good time? Oh, this has been the most incredible week. I have loved every single moment of this. I've met people that I will be friends with, hopefully, for the rest of my life. Like who?
Starting point is 00:05:41 I just, oh, Kelly. I love Kelly. Oh, my gosh, she thinks I am the most incredible photographer. She says, she goes, on the way back from the boat, she goes, you know what, I have a really gorgeous bikini on. She strips stand. I know. I walked up. my photo and she's, she's bragging about me everywhere. Oh my God, look at how great these photos are.
Starting point is 00:06:01 She's so great. She is so generous in terms of like so complimentary because she's a literal freaking supermodel. Unbelievable. Like literal supermodel and she's like complimenting you on your photography. I know. She's amazing. And Deanna and Jen and everyone. It's on and on and on. So I was, I've been smiling this entire time. It's been so good. Me too. I love it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:31 So do you, I know you had, you were with a man who played pickleball. Is there any PTSD there? Like, would you date someone who is into pickleball? Yeah. I'm wiping that from my mind completely. Okay, good. Yes, absolutely. I want to be active and this is just so much fun.
Starting point is 00:06:54 So absolutely. I feel like it is so. fun and you can do it at any age. I mean, I learned from probably the age range of my teachers was 70 to 80 years old. Really? I'm not kidding. They taught me so much about how to play pickle and so much about what is fun about it. Like the social elements, like girl time. I mean, even couple time, couples time. You know, I just love it for all of those reasons. I have a confession. And before we played, I watched some pickleball videos. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I was getting so confused. Here's the five tips and tricks on pickleball. That's great. Yeah. I'm saying, how do I remember all of this? I don't know if I will. It's really hard to remember. It is complicated, but you'll get it.
Starting point is 00:07:43 The more you play, it's like anything else. Okay. Right? I trust you. The more you play, the better, easier to come. Easier it will come. Sorry, I've had some wine. Me too.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Okay. Okay. So Bachelor in Paradise, have you been watching? Oh, absolutely. I've been watching. I love it so much. Okay. And I was so fortunate to go visit Leslie again. And so I got to see the first her episode when she had a date with Gary. And I was thrilled for her and thrilled for all the women who were on and all the men. And so, and we, while we were here, we watched episode five. And we watched part of, of it last night, part of it this morning. And it's just, I, I absolutely love it. I think it's so good. You know what? I like a lot. The captions that they have under everyone and like dazed and confused. Yeah. It's like, it's so clever. And the photography's gorgeous. Absolutely. Isn't it? I have said that. Okay, so Bob and I were talking about it when it first started, I think, after the first episode. So we recap the second episode. And there are people in Bachelor Nation who are definitely purists.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Like, they want to see the same thing happen every season, right? And I think because it's not in the same location and it's kind of a different vibe, like some people are maybe thinking, why don't you go back to how it was before? I love it. I think that the cinematography or videography or whatever you want to call it is really beautiful. I keep saying that. I go, oh, my God, look at that shot. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:24 I think it's beautiful. And, you know, it might be so much at once for people to take. People don't like change. Right. But it's, these are all great, creative, incredible ideas. Yes. And they're executed so well. So I'm really enjoying it.
Starting point is 00:09:39 And I love the captions too. There was one where Zoe said, I'm so Gucci or I'm Gucci. And then in the caption, it said, Zoe is not Gucci. That was good. So cute. I love how clever and witty that is. And then the dream sequences. Well, I don't know about the dream stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I'm not, I wasn't such a huge fan. Because I'm like, listen, these guys are not actors and actresses. We don't need them to be playing out like a scene from a movie. I just want to know what's happening, for me at least. But I get that, you know, some people enjoy them. I just want to know, I guess I'm a purist in that way, is that it's all about the development of the relationship. for me. I gotcha. But okay, the Leslie with the rose in her mouth. Okay. Yes. And then Gary. Oh, they did a dream sequence. Yes. I haven't seen that. Oh, okay. Oh, you haven't seen it. Oh, it's good. No, it's fine. You're not. It doesn't matter. I mean, I know what has
Starting point is 00:10:40 happened since. I just haven't watched it myself. Okay. I get you not appreciating that, but yeah, I do. I'm embracing all of the changes. Okay. Good for you. Is there part of you that wishes you were there? that had, that you had done it? You know what? Just a little bit in the beginning, but really not. Okay. Then I'm just applauding them and I want them to have their day in the sun and enjoy it and just enjoy watching them. So, no, I just, I'm applauding them all and and rooting for them.
Starting point is 00:11:13 And yeah, I think I'm okay with it. Okay. I'm good. Because were you asked to be on it? I was. Okay. I was asked to be on it. It went through the whole process.
Starting point is 00:11:23 All right. And, you know, they ask you who you would like to be with. And I just couldn't, I couldn't see myself with anyone. And I didn't want to take anyone away from anyone if that were to happen. So, you know, I just didn't want to be true to myself. Yeah. And so I'd rather just watch it and enjoy it. And I've been doing that.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Love that. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly. and now I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive
Starting point is 00:12:35 finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hello, it's Daniel Official. Rider Strong. And Wilfredel from PodMeets World. And we're bringing you Viva Las Content. That's right. We are back in Las Vegas, the city of Sin. and giving the people what they want. A full week of Y2K content. Wait, we're back in Vegas? Tell me, Y. Well, for the Backstreet Boys residency at Sphere, of course.
Starting point is 00:13:05 We sat down with Kevin Richardson and A.J. McLean just minutes before they took the stage, and our very own Wilfredel basically became the newest member of the band. Boy band, please. Plus, the man who has the longest running comedy show on the strip joins us and gets his props. It's carrot top, baby. And finally, we all, L-O-V-E-Hur, Ashley Simpson-Ross, joins us to talk about her upcoming sold-out Vegas residency. It's a full week of nostalgic interviews you don't want to miss.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Listen to PodMeets World on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport. The holiday rush. Parents hauling luggage. kids gripping their new Christmas toys. Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed. There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal. Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal, glass.
Starting point is 00:14:09 The injured were being loaded into ambulances. Just a chaotic, chaotic scene. In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay. Terrorism. Law and law. and order criminal justice system is back. In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight that's harder to predict and even harder to stop. Listen to the new season of law and order criminal justice system on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your
Starting point is 00:14:42 podcasts. I don't write songs. God write songs. I take dictation. I didn't even know you've been a pastor for over 10 years. I think culture is any space that you live in that develops you. On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast, I sat down with Warren Campbell, Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive to talk about the beats, the business, and the legacy behind some of the biggest names
Starting point is 00:15:08 in gospel, R&B, and hip-hop. This is like watching Michael Jackson talk about Thurley before it happened. Was there a particular moment where you realized just how instrumental music culture was to shaping all of our global ecosystem? I was eight years old, and the Motown 25 special came on. And all the great Motown artists, Marvin, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Raw. From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson, we get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Listen to Culture raises us on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine that you're on an airplane, and all of a sudden you hear this. Attention passengers. The pilot is having an emergency, and we need. think you could do it it turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control and they're saying like okay pull this until this pull that turn this it's just like do my eyes closed I'm Mani I'm Noah this is Devon and on our new show no such thing we get to the bottom of questions like these join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence
Starting point is 00:16:18 Those who lack expertise Lack the expertise they need To recognize that they lack expertise And then as we try the whole thing out for real Wait, what? Oh, that's the run right I'm looking at this thing, see? Listen to no such thing on the Iheart radio app
Starting point is 00:16:35 Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts So let's talk about that for a second Because I feel like we mentioned it when we first saw each other this week. It's hard because Bachelor in Paradise is full of people from the shows. And there have been a lot of bachelors and bacheloretts that they can draw from. There have not been a lot of goldens yet. So they only have a small population of people to draw from either golden bachelorette or golden bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:17:12 There's only been one season for each. So that is hard because, you know, not. Everyone can leave and dedicate the summer to, you know, Bachelor in Paradise. And also, a lot of the people from the shows are in relationships since they were on the show. Yeah. Right, right, right. So many of the men are in relationships. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:34 So there weren't that many men left. And then April goes and chooses Jonathan. So that took another golden person away. Yeah. So right. You are so right. So many of the men, thankfully, family. found partners and women, and they're so happy.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Yep. And so, you know, it was the hope that maybe there would be other people, but so far there haven't been. Yeah. So. Well, hopefully there will be. Yeah. You know, obviously we know there's a golden bachelor coming up.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Yes. And hopefully there will be another golden bachelorette. And then maybe there will be another bachelor in paradise. There will be so many people. That's right. And if I go on, there'll be so much competition. That's right. Would you do it in the future?
Starting point is 00:18:17 I would. Okay. I would do it in the future. If they do it again. But I'd be the only, I'd be the only 73-year-old by then. Competing with all these 60-year-olds. Stop. It's all good.
Starting point is 00:18:30 So now I have to arrest my progression of my aging. Wouldn't we all like to do that? I would. Okay, so who are you rooting for? Which couple are you reading for? Oh, duh. I mean, I know what the answer is, but let's tell the people. Leslie and Gary.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Yes. I'm rooting for that. of course and like Gary is so charismatic my goodness like he's really like so to speak commanding the stage he's got all eyes on him okay good and so many women like I said I haven't seen okay good yeah and so yeah he I don't know if he's surprised by it but he just came in and there was an immediate attraction with Leslie so I'm rooting for them yeah and then I know that Kathy and he Eith are together. So maybe they'll be together.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Okay. And I, well, Nancy did go on a date with Gary. So I could be wrong about Gary and Leslie. Could be Gary and Nancy. Okay. Right. And then Faith just came on. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:34 So she could be with someone. Oh, I bet she is. Yeah. She's going to be scooped up. There's still hope. There's still hope. I can't wait. I can't wait to see. I know.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I'm really excited. I know. Who do you think is approaching the Paradise Experience? the best way in among anyone in the entire anyway you can talk about the the young bucks or the goldens so I really do love cat yeah I mean she's got she seems to have her head on straight right and so when she approaches down with what she's concerned about uh-huh he keeps on veering off track and she gets him back to center yeah I I'm looking at Jonathan saying what is Jonathan's role in this. Like, he seems like a wandering guy. Like, what is he looking for? What's his end
Starting point is 00:20:22 game here? Stir in the pot? Yeah, he's stirring the pot. You know, Kathy plays a really good role that she's doing things that she's never done before, like taking a shot. That was really nice. Right. Yeah. I mean, all of, and then, you know, so many of the young people, I'm intrigued. I'm just intrigued by the relationships. And, oh my gosh, did you see the scene with the birds? And their costumes, oh, my God, they're incredible. Oh, the birds I have seen on social. I've seen incredible. Gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Really. I mean, each one out did the other. Oh, yeah. And then. Beautiful. My gosh, Brian. So there was a scene with Brian and his partner, Parisa. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Okay. And they do get the sweep. And so they're on two different pages. So Parisa starts by asking him, what's your favorite color, really just to break the ice but his head is you know what we're not doing that we're not doing it yeah and he wanted to have this just completely romantic okay and i think most people are siding with parisa okay and i really do see brian's point in this i haven't oh i'm so sad i need to watch yeah you need i mean it's great it's good it's really good okay amazing yeah um what about
Starting point is 00:21:41 the money since i haven't watched what's how has jesse said anything more about the money and what do you think about it no All he said is that it's going to get to that point. But he really hasn't explained exactly how you win the money. Like, it's so frustrating. There's so little reveals about it. It's intriguing that you're going to. Someone is actually going to win half a million dollars, but they don't say how they get there.
Starting point is 00:22:04 I hate that they haven't told us how. So what do you think about that? Do you think that that can taint like a romantic relationship, especially one that just started? I think it probably does. I think that they're trying to test the relationships to see which relationship is the real deal and what's the true relationship. So I know that in the previews they do say, okay, from now on, there will be no more new people. So the person you're with is the person you're going to be with and you're going to face every challenge with this person. So I would imagine you eventually get to the point where you're considered for the half million dollars.
Starting point is 00:22:43 So maybe it's changing from Bachelor and Parents. Paradise to like Bachelor Pad after they have solidified the relationships and then they compete as a team for the money. Yeah. And that was a, it seems to be a complete surprise to everyone who's on the show. Right. That wasn't told to them beforehand. So imagine just being told, okay, now you could possibly win half a million dollars.
Starting point is 00:23:05 That's amazing. Let me bring up something that I don't know if I just don't know this because I haven't watched. But Susie, I feel like just posted something on Instagram saying, I just found out about the money should I go back something like that I don't know if she was asking or if she's going back she hasn't gone back she's not gone okay I wonder if they're going to ask people to go back oh my god oh I didn't think of that wow like anybody who have who has already gone home yeah but if they can go back and maybe be part of the money that would not be fair right would not be fair you made the choice to go home no I don't think you should come back you should not be allowed to come back you didn't make a
Starting point is 00:23:42 choice they didn't get a rose yeah but Jeremy okay so So Jeremy regretted not giving the rose. Oh, yes, I know. Right, I agree. Yes. Oh, my gosh. That's kind of sad. I love it.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I mean, of course, I love all things, Bachelor at, like, what, everything. I've watched everything. And so it's kind of like a family to me. So, yeah. Yeah. I love it. No, I love it too. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:09 So, oh, yeah. So Jeremy and Bailey are together. And it's yet to be seen if they'll stay together. Yeah, yeah. Well, you have to be seen if everyone will stay together. I got to keep watching. If you had to sum up your dating life right now, give me three words for what that would be. Oh, it's, I'm open.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Okay. To dating. Yeah. I'm really not actively pursuing. You're not. I am not actively pursuing. Inactive. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:35 So, no, inactive. No, so I'm not on a dating website, which is what I consider actively pursuing it. Okay. And I'm very happy with my life. So wait. You think active is being on a dating website. That's interesting to me. Yes, I guess I do.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Yeah. So you don't think the dating is like just meeting someone out and about in your town. Well, that's what I'm doing now. Okay. So that's not inactive. So now, no, all I would say is that I'm extremely open to it. Okay. I do want it.
Starting point is 00:25:04 I do want a man in my life. Yeah. I do think that having a partner in this world is just really wonderful. And I don't really want to live the rest of my life alone. I don't want to do that. Yeah. And so I'm just saying that I'm doing it more with just an open mind going out into the world and maybe putting it out there and telling people. Because now when people approach me in the street and they just say hi, I think it's the most wonderful thing in the world, that they say, oh, we're so sorry. We didn't mean to bother you, but it's never a bother. It's been the greatest thing to meet new people. And so even to tell them. And people have been saying to me, oh, I know somebody. I'm just hoping like that could happen right for sure it could happen please I met my husband on a national television show and we've been married for 22 years that's amazing so yeah no and you met somebody that you shared yes I did a great relationship with for a while yeah I did yeah it can happen it can happen my boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm serious seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. The pilot is having an emergency, and we need. Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control.
Starting point is 00:30:22 And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this. Pull that, turn this. It's just, I can do my eyes close. I'm Mani. I'm Noah. This is Devon. And on our new show, no such thing, we get to the bottom of questions like these. Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence.
Starting point is 00:30:39 who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack expertise. And then as we try the whole thing out for real. Wait, what? Oh, that's the run right. I'm looking at this thing.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Listen to no such thing on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If they did another season of the Golden Bachelorette. Yeah? would you be interested in that role? Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Really? Okay. Absolutely. You're throwing your name in the ring. I'm throwing it in the ring. Okay. Okay. And would you do anything differently than the way that Joan did it?
Starting point is 00:31:23 Yeah, I would. Okay, how? You know, I probably would, I would be open to kissing a lot more. Okay, yeah. And exploring it with each person and maybe being really flirtatious and having a lot of fun. I know that she held back and maybe she, you know, was concerned about her family, seeing her kissing someone. I'm really, I'm really open to that and I'm affectionate. Yeah. And I would like to see that and explore that. And yeah, I would get such a kick out of it.
Starting point is 00:31:57 It would be so much fun. Yeah. Love it. They're great. Well, hopefully they'll do it. Oh, you know. I hope so. I hope that from Golden Bachelor, they will... Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Golden Bachelorette. To the Golden Bachelor. Are you? What are your thoughts on him? Oh, you really want to know my thoughts on him?
Starting point is 00:32:16 I do. That's why we're here. Well, okay, so you know that unfortunately he did say something. Yeah. Tell us what he said. He said that his preferred age range was 45 to 60. Yeah. I guess he didn't realize that the minimum age was 60.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Yeah. And you know what? I do want to say this, that if you look at all of the age, the men who are on Jones season, they are all with much younger women. And I just think that's the way of the world. You mean the men who are now in relationships? Understood. Yes. And it's not that I haven't been approached by young men. Yeah. But yeah, much younger men. It seems like much younger men, which wouldn't work whatsoever. Yeah. So you don't think, you don't think that would work. Oh, no, like a 30-year-old? That's what I didn't remember. No, I don't think so. They can't be
Starting point is 00:33:02 younger than my son. I have a son from 48. Right. I can't be younger than my son. Got it. But, yeah, so he said that. But I think that when he sees, these women are gorgeous. Drop down, just, dropped down gorgeous. And I'm sure they're delightful and intelligent. Yes. And it's going to make for such an interesting show.
Starting point is 00:33:21 And so he's going to say, oh, they're beautiful. Oh, and I didn't realize and how great they are. So, yeah. What would you have said to him? if you were in that room with him when we said that. I would have said, yeah, absolutely. You shouldn't want to date a 60-year-old because, you know, I'm a 70-year-old. I've got this wrinkly skin and I've got no muscle tone and I'm just ugly and we're all ugly.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Right. Stop. Absolutely you shouldn't. So I would just, I'd say, oh, my God, Mel. Yeah. I don't think that was, that was, I heard about that. Yeah. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I mean, it's a thing. It just seems like it's a thing. For him. For him. Yeah. I think it's unfortunate because I think there is so much beauty in women who, you know, like, obviously it showed where his values are. Yeah. And I hope that after that, that it opened his eyes to ageism and to looking at women differently and knowing that a beautiful woman doesn't have to be wrinkle-free.
Starting point is 00:34:31 and, you know, with no gray hair and no hip replacements or whatever he said, you know, like with all their joints intact. Right. And it's right. It's just like prejudice in any other area. I know. I completely agree. Like to prejudge based on their age.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Based on their age or their color or their sexuality. Just take each person for who they are and just look at the beauty of that person. Right. And it doesn't matter. Right. I mean, people, and if that was a problem for him that he wanted someone in shape, it could be of any age and beautiful any age. Oh, I mean, I know people in their 70s that are really fit.
Starting point is 00:35:11 So you know what I mean like that? No. I'm going to be 72 in a week, so. And happy early birthday. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Of course.
Starting point is 00:35:19 You look beautiful. I mean, come on. Like, I think that I really hope that he arrived at the Bachelor Mansion. and saw these women and thought oh, I really put my foot in my mouth. And I hope that he apologizes. Yeah, I hope he does too.
Starting point is 00:35:37 And it's on the show. I agree with you. I hope that they face that head on. Yes. And they address that issue. They better. And he apologizes. They better.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Not to ignore it because the whole world saw it. Yeah. And I think that, you know, he probably didn't even realize that that was going to be seen anywhere. Well, it wasn't it was a podcast? Right. Yeah. Like, whatever. Like, he should know. He should know. He's speaking on a public platform and anything you say will be picked up, you know, like, and go viral or whatever. Right. So you, he, he knew. If he didn't know, he knows now. Yeah. I mean, I'm sorry. If you think that you're going on television and people aren't going to pick up what you say on a podcast. And I would say anybody who says they're not going to watch it because of that, I think they're going to watch. I think, yeah. You're right. They're going to watch because they want to know. what he's going to do.
Starting point is 00:36:30 But ages is a thing. It is a very sad thing. I specifically remember Joan saying on Golden Bachelor that she felt invisible. And I hate that. I feel that at 52, you know? No. When you're surrounded by like younger people and even if you have, you know, high vibrations or whatever, I feel like I can feel myself.
Starting point is 00:36:58 becoming invisible as I get older. So I hate that. I hate that for anyone who feels that way. And for him to make women who are older than 60 feel invisible more so because of what he said, it just hurt it. It makes me really sad. So I really hope he just lessen. And I will tell you being here this week with younger people.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Some of these people were my son's age. Yeah. Are my son's age. And they treated us like themselves. There was no age difference whatsoever. I didn't feel like I was an outsider. I felt like I was one of everyone. And that was so wonderful.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Good. Yeah. That makes me happy. Okay. A new season of Dancing with the Stars is coming. Would you ever want to be on that show? Yeah. No, but I couldn't.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I have to tell you why. Because Leslie wants it so badly. I know. I'm her best friend. And there's no way that I would get. If someone asked me, I go, no, no, just give it to Leslie. Oh, that's sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Do you know I was on the show? Oh, my God. No. I didn't know. I'm sorry. Don't apologize. You were. How did you do?
Starting point is 00:38:12 I was the very first one ever kicked off. Oh, my God. That's that. Why? Oh, my God. After how many weeks? Oh, Lord. I just did two.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Two weeks. congratulations no so there were six of us okay um and now it's like 15 20 people so there were only six of us um because they really didn't know if it was going to fly if it was going to be something that people would watch i was a dancer like a professional dancer i danced for the miami and um and yeah i got beat in a dancing competition by avander holyfield oh my god i'm so sorry just wow it's so totally fine. I loved the experience. So I can say if Leslie passes it up for some reason and you get asked if they're going to ask, you should do it because it really was incredible. It must be
Starting point is 00:39:13 an incredible experience. Oh my gosh. It's incredible, but I will say I feel like back in the day when it first started, it is definitely not as labor intensive as it is now. Yeah. Like, they rehearse, I feel like 20 hours a day, a day. Not a week, a day. And I think that Louis would come, my partner would come to Vail on his own dime. And we would have, you know, a few rehearsals. And then he would go back to Utah. And then we'd go to L.A. maybe a day or two before the show. It was so stressful. I wish. I wish I would have had the rehearsal time. But at the same time, I was kind of a newly married woman.
Starting point is 00:40:03 I wanted to still spend time with my husband. And at that time, my partner was not out as gay. He is now. But there was like, you know, this whole thing, this whole dynamic about you're dancing very seductively with a man, with another man. And, you know, we were newly married, you know, for a couple years. And it's stressful in that regard. but it is so much fun
Starting point is 00:40:28 if you like things out of your box, out of your normal comfort zone or out of the box. I think that it is such an incredible experience. So if you ever get the opportunity, you should definitely do it. It must be such and feel like such an accomplishment to do something like that.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Yeah. Well, when you get kicked off first, you don't really feel like it's an accomplishment. But you've got on and you did it. That was great. No, it did feel good. actually learn something new. Yeah, and I know that other women on my show would love to be on it.
Starting point is 00:41:03 I'm sure. And I would root for anyone who got on the show. And I would love to be in the audience and cheer them on. Of course. So anybody who wants this, go for it. Does anybody who gets offered? Yes, go for it. Yeah, for sure.
