with IHeart Radio.
Okay.
Bob Guinea, I'm here,
but just barely.
So I'm sorry if I cough,
let me just preempt this whole
almost famous OG podcast,
dancing with stars,
recap episode to say I'm very sorry for my coughing. Well, I have no excuse that I might cough. I feel like
I'm dry today. It's 79 degrees in Michigan today. Oh my gosh. Yeah. It's been like 77, 78.
This has been the best summer we've had ever and it's fall. Yeah. Oh my gosh. That's amazing.
But I don't even want to talk about weather because I feel like old people talk about weather and we're just
I know. Let's talk about, let's talk about dancing. That's what young, vibrant people talk about.
Dancing with Stars, Recap, Extravaganza, the Hollywood Sputacular Episode.
It was so good and so freaking shocking.
Like, okay, so we both, before we got on, we said we're super shocked of obvious reasons.
But I want to go to it one thing, the first thing that I was shocked about when I was watching.
Like in the timeline of watching, the first thing that happened to me, that was shot, or not to me, while I was watching the show that I was shocked about.
Dwight gets the first freaking Ted?
Yeah.
I got to say, that was pretty shocking.
I mean, and, you know, I think it's kind of interesting because, you know, he, first of all, you could tell that this meant something to him, right?
I mean, last week, it seemed like, you know, Daniel was kind of raised.
in the bar with him a little bit like it's time to show up we got to do this you know they were
getting and they did some stuff last night that you know that looked amazing and I honestly
think that their hype difference she's so tiny and he's just a beast and I think it's like that
worked to their advantage last night you know it was amazing I was and I was totally put in my place
because last week I I guessed that he was going to be the one going home I was so
wrong instead.
Yeah.
It's the first freaking time.
First ten.
I did not have been more wrong.
Crushed.
He crushed it.
They crushed it.
But the fact that he could do those, you're right.
Like he literally was holding her.
I think it was by one hand.
Just holding her upside down.
Like the other move that was amazing and really sexy, by the way, was like when he swung
her around with her foot, like single-wave move.
And, uh, and I mean, I was like,
what? I mean, I've seen people do that before, but I feel like they always at least have a leg
and an arm. Do you know what I mean? Like, I've never seen someone do it with just the, I'm sure I have
season over season, but I was just like, I don't know if it was just the whole thing was catching
me off guard or what. There was like, that everything was, the next move was bigger than the one
before. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You know, it's cool. It was so, so good. And I love his energy.
I just, he seems like such a grateful.
person like so so joyful about life like he I feel like he has its values in the right place like
he's all about family and like just lifting people up and I just I just love him so I'm glad that
I was wrong and that he's around I'm sad because the second shocking thing was that Jen went home
I'm so bummed out that was such a surprise to me because first of all
like two weeks ago she had her best dance you know like everybody was like blown away by her like
really kind of slowing things down and getting like you know and she and sasha had such great
chemistry and i really thought that it was like i don't know i just thought this was going to be
uh i thought it was going to be a bachelor finale i really did i i had every um i was hold not hope i guess
that was going to be joey and jen but you know we did talk about this earlier this year you know
I think one of the things that comes as a huge, you know, awesome point of two people from the same season being on, I'm sorry, two people from the same series being on the same season is that, wow, what a representation for Bachelor Nation.
What a cool, you know, a moment, all that kind of stuff.
But I think the negative of that is, and we'd be kidding ourselves if this wasn't something that we knew was a real possibility, is that their votes could get split.
Oh, they will.
They do.
Yeah.
Because people can only vote 10 times from.
line you know well so katelyn um posted yesterday i think on her stories um before the show she's like
i don't think joey needs the votes so everyone vote for jen like literally it was like come on let's
let's rally and keep our people in and um i mean she's right because yeah that's what it's that's what
it probably did i think that we finally saw that come to fruition you know and it was bound to happen
Yeah.
I mean, they can only, and people, I mean, honestly, like, you know, you're going to have situations now, too, where, you know, you start seeing some things.
Like, you see Kelsey and, and Joey together, and you fall in love with them all over again.
And so you maybe that you're like, I just love them.
You know, I'm going to vote, you know, 10 times this time or whatever for Joey.
And you forget that Jen needs those votes, too.
And, you know, I get it.
She doesn't have that same backstory going for her right now that Joey has either.
Yeah, I mean, she does have the empowerment, though, you know, I feel like no empowerment is big, but at the same time, you know, the votes are just split. So you just can't. Like, you got to pick one or the other or give them only half of the votes. So wherever it works out. So I am very sad that Jen is not there, not going to be there anymore. She was great. I feel like she, she needs to walk away with her head held high. I mean, she won the head-to-head competition.
which I think is amazing.
But now we still have super strong people.
Like I feel like Stephen and Alona are, you know, I was worried about them last night, too.
Yeah.
All three of them were in the bottom.
So I think maybe it'll come down to them next week.
Like, I don't know.
I feel like I'm kind of shifting gears after.
Dwight had that amazing
routine.
I know.
Hey, is he going to stick around
for another week?
But I don't know.
I love Alona.
I love Steven.
Yeah.
I love all of them.
So hard.
There were a lot of tens going out last night.
You know,
the Karen gave out three.
Three or four.
She gave out four total.
I feel like she gave out four.
Yeah.
And then, and then Derek gave,
um,
who did he give one to in the end?
Joey.
Joey.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. And he does not give out 10s lightly.
Like, the fact that he gave Joey a 10.
I would say this.
Like, I would bet you Derek, because he's, you know, I mean,
Grant, he'd been doing the other show for a long time, too,
that's not so you think he can dance,
but the other one that's so good.
Well, world of dance.
World of Dance, yeah.
I mean, I feel like he was, he'd probably be a more difficult 10
because Carrie Ann's been on, you know,
dancing from the inception.
And she knows how hard these people are working.
you know from that standpoint
and she knows they might need this boost or whatever
I feel like Derek's still maybe a bit more of a purist
with those tens so he's not necessarily handing him out
you know he's not giving out four in a night
I can promise you that
and you know last night I mean to give Joey
but Joey again
my mind is ready to blow over Joey because
this dude is probably as much as the dancer as me
and it's like now he is like
watching Barishnikov out there
it's like the kids doing stuff
it's crazy to me and I love seeing it because it makes me believe I think I can dance more now
I'm like well Joey didn't know how to dance before I went on this show if I had some proper
instruction Trista I might need some of your you know dance pro instruction I'm telling you
no I cannot teach you ballroom sorry um I know nothing but yes Joey I'm sure could hook you up
with some lessons afterwards um yeah man he's out there maybe we can get him on the show when he um when he
comes on. Oh, Hannah, can we get Jen on at some point? I mean, I know she's still under contract,
but if we could get her on, that would be amazing to talk to Jen. And I would love to talk to
Sasha at the same time, both of them together. Yeah. But hopefully, Joey can come on the show
and chat with us afterwards about. After he hoist the mirror ball trophy above the set. That's right.
That's right. In the ballroom of champions.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor,
And they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him
because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Attention passengers.
The pilot is having...
an emergency, and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Think you could do it?
It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of
air traffic control.
And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this.
Pull that.
Turn this.
It's just, I can do it in my eyes close.
I'm Mani.
I'm Noah.
This is Devon.
And on our new show, no such thing.
We get to the bottom of questions like these.
Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence.
Those who lack expertise
lack the expertise they need
to recognize that they lack expertise.
And then, as we try the whole thing out for real,
wait, what?
Oh, that's the run right.
I'm looking at this thing.
See?
Listen to no such thing on the Iheart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, sis, what if I could promise you
you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro,
tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards,
you may just recreate the same problem a year from now.
When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan,
starting with your local credit union, shopping around online,
looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable.
Listen, I am not here to judge.
It is so expensive in these streets.
I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt and it weighs on you.
It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand.
It's nice and dark in the sand.
Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it.
And in fact, it may get even worse.
For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Hi, I'm Jenna Lopez.
And in the new season of the Overcover podcast, I'm taking you on an exciting journey of self-reflection.
Am I ready to enter this new part of my life?
Like, am I ready to be in a relationship?
Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and my time?
I wanted to be successful on my own, not just because of who my mom is.
Like, I felt like I needed to be better or work twice as hard as she did.
Join me for conversations about healing and growth.
Life is freaking hard.
And growth doesn't happen in comfort.
It happens in motion, even when you're hurting.
All from one of my favorite spaces.
the kitchen. Honestly, these are going to come out so freaking amazing. Be a part of my new chapter
and listen to the new season of the Overcomfit podcast as part of the MyCultura podcast network
on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I'm looking at this thing online that's saying, you know, who will win? So we're going to do
our, we're going to do our poll, right? Who do we still think?
going to win.
Yeah.
And because there's one, two, three, four, five couples.
Five left.
Okay.
So we got five couples left.
Yep.
Who do you think's going to win?
And then next week.
So I don't remember how it goes in the order, but I think it gets down to four.
Uh-huh.
So it'll be single elimination next week, right?
So now you're down to four couples.
Yeah.
And would it be single elimination again to get you down to your final three?
Or do they go from four?
to the final two i can't remember i think it's to final three at least that's how it had been
but i'm pretty sure it's to final and who knows they could change it like this season who knows
um i am sticking to my final three that i said weeks ago um joey of course yeah um chanler because
yeah and danny umandolo i think he is he is a rock star and
I feel like he's shining.
Do you want to know what the national polls say?
No, hold on.
The fact that I put in a second, yes.
But Danny and Joey together in the one-on-one,
they put Jen and Stephen together in the one-on-one,
and they put Dwight and Alona.
I think that just kind of like they wouldn't have put Joey and Danny together
if they felt, oh, wait, and Chandler didn't do it because she had a buy.
So, or she got whatever, she didn't have to do it.
I think that says something.
So I don't know.
I'm sticking to it.
I'm sticking to my guns that those are my final three.
But yeah, tell me.
What did the national polls say?
Okay.
And where are these polls coming from?
This would be from a reputable magazine that you and I may very well have done a few
photoshoots together with.
Okay.
It could be considered, you know, like U.S.
weekly or it could just be us
weekly. I don't know. Like the U.S. thinks this
or us thinking this. I'm not sure.
I think it's us. Yeah.
Okay. At number five
on the national poll
for who will win Dancing with the Stars
Danny and Whitney.
No way. Sorry. Yeah, they're in last.
I'm shocked by that.
When was this poll taken?
It was taken today.
Taken today. Oh, okay. All right.
By fan boats who would chime in.
Number four on that list.
Dwight and Daniela.
Okay.
Number three on that list, Stephen and Riley.
Okay.
Then it's down to our top two, Chandler and Brandon, and then Joey and Jenna.
Well, where's Alona?
Alona's not in there.
Oh.
She must not have made the cut.
She is not the top five.
So they're predicting that she's not.
They're predicting alone is the next one to go home.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So they're predicting alone as the next to go home.
I would say, again, and I say this, even though I think Dwight and Danielle did an amazing job last night, I still think Danny is going to surprise people as to where he comes in with the judges scoring and everything else.
And I think Whitney is a very popular, very popular dancer on the show.
Very.
And even though people love Riley, I think that it's between Stephen and Dwight next week.
I think so.
Well, so I got to be honest.
I think it's Alona, between Alona and Dwight.
I think Dwight did a great job, though.
And if he has another great week like that,
it could be between Alona and Stephen, you know?
But Stephen's still got the Olympian thing going, man.
I still believe-
Yeah, that's true. That's true.
That is true.
Yeah, no, you're right.
You're right.
God, that's such a hard one.
I mean, I think it's easier for me to say who I think the top two are.
Like, I think the final two,
I think it comes down to Joey and Chandler,
just like you.
I think those are our final two.
I think if they go to the final three,
I think it's,
I think it's Joey Chandler and Danny.
I do two.
Oh, that is what you said.
Yeah.
The rest of the population thinks it's Joey Chandler and Stephen.
Yeah, I don't think so.
Yeah.
But hey, I've been wrong before, so who knows?
Not in my experience.
Yeah, huh.
I was wrong about Dwight going home this week.
The only, the last time I remember you being wrong is when I,
when I was passed over for hometowns.
And that was,
there was a long time ago.
I'm going to forgive you for it.
But I still think you would have had a lot more fun at my lakehouse
than you would have had, like, let's say, you know,
a studio apartment in New York City.
I'm just going to say that for a minute.
Just kidding. Just kidding.
No.
But yeah, I think you're probably,
I think we're both on the same page here with this.
And I do think that like every week
it's a surprise. And then the judges too,
man, I'm not sure what that formulaic
thing is. And we've touched
based on that a few times as well. But
it's like when someone gets a 10,
you think that would really change things for their
scoring. You know,
but I mean, you know,
Jen got a 10. She went home.
So,
who knows? Who knows?
You just don't know about being.
You do not know.
I'm excited, though, to continue to watch.
It's been such a great.
season. Oh, sorry, a text came in. I thought it was my child. I can't turn off my notifications
because if my children write me and they're in need of something, which is, no, I mean, 20% of
them are often. I would imagine. Yeah. I hear my kids downstairs, they're like, Dad! And I'm like,
Daddy's on a podcast about Dancing with the Stars, son. I can't have taken time away from this
for your health issues. Relax. Hey, have they been watching the show? No, they go to bet.
They go to bed.
They both are in bed by eight.
So I usually, what I've been doing, especially last night,
because last night, man, I was up late watching it because I had to hit my DVR deal.
And Grayson just would not go to sleep last night.
And I, you know, I mean, I'm gone a lot.
So I really, I really revel in those moments.
Like I love those moments of putting my boys to sleep at night.
And Canyon does so much throughout the course of the day with them every day.
And I don't get to do a lot of that.
that so so to me that's my time so you know and people try to like hey well i'll just call you
you know four o'clock our time i'm like nope that's seven o'clock my time can't do it you know it's
like i'm just not doing it tonight and so um so i set the dvr and then last night at about nine
o'clock at nine 30 even i'm like grason did i know you're messing with me now you need to go
to sleep because daddy's got some too late yeah so yeah so i caught up late and uh but but i will say
I thought it was really, really good.
And I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the show.
I will say, like what you said, I think this has been a great season.
Even the people that, you know, have been eliminated.
I mean, Tori Spelling, we all love.
You know, the dude from Family Matters, Eric Roberts.
Like, you go on the list, there wasn't a stinker in the bunch from the standpoint,
from my opinion anyway, as a viewer, watching everything unfold with them and be like,
oh, my God, I love this person.
You know, what a wonderful story.
And that hats off to the, to the casting for Dancing with the Stars and to the, you know, to the producers for getting all that stuff out of these people and really, you know, letting us get to know them a little bit as individuals.
I think it's pretty magical.
So I'm a fan.
Great cast.
They won me back.
I think there was a period of time where maybe I didn't watch dancing.
And I don't even know what that time was, but like, you could tell me, oh, yeah, so-and-so was not Dancing with Stars three years ago.
I'm like, oh, really?
Didn't even know.
Now, I feel like, and thanks to Amy Sugarman and Hado for coming up for us to do the recap every week because I love it.
I love them for us to watch the show because now I'm like, oh, man, I'm starting to think of people for next season, you know?
I know, right?
I'm like, I don't think my phone's going to ring.
So instead of me, who would it be?
Do you never know?
Well, if Trista says it, it's just like weddings.
If Trista says it, I'm invited.
I'll let you go.
You know what?
I know you're not feeling well.
Thank you for making time for this today.
And thanks for your insight.
I think having been a dancer on the show
and going through this experience
and being a dancer in life and now a dance mom,
you kind of know a lot more than a lot of us do
about what goes into putting together these performances.
And so I really appreciate your insight.
So thank you.
Of course.
Thank you for watching with me alongside you.
Alongside you.
Alongside me.
Okay, thanks everybody for listening.
We'll be back next week with our Dancing with the Stars.
