This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.

Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want or gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.

famous podcast with iHeart radio all right hi everyone it's trista and bob and we
are here for the Almost Famous OG podcast, ready to have a really fun episode. I'm so excited
to talk to our guest today. We'll get into that in second, but we wanted to let you all know that
Almost Famous is doing something new this year. I think this is the first year, right? Do you think
this is the first time they've ever done this? I think so. I mean, these are kind of like superlatives,
right? I think it's fun. So did you win any of these when you were like in high school and stuff?
like that before you. Oh, superlatives. Oh, gosh. You know, like, best hair. I think I did.
I think I did, but I honestly cannot remember. Um, because, you know, bad memory and I'm 52 years old,
but, um. Just a baby. Just a baby. Just a little baby. Um, but they are doing the almost famous
podcast awards. And we just got the list of the nominees. And I think that Bob,
Bob has a bone to pick with someone.
You know, I wouldn't say it's a bone to pick.
I would have just thought out of a courtesy,
even if the person writing these votes down
doesn't believe this to be true,
just as a courtesy.
My name should have been on there
as a Best Bachelor possibility, right?
I mean, it's like I am part of the almost famous podcast team.
Don't you think I'm going to react a certain way
when I read these and I don't see my name?
Okay.
Okay. So, so obviously, Bob's a little upset. But I will say that one of the categories is Best Bromance.
And I will most definitely be voting for you and all of the guys on my season because it's you and every one of my season was nominated for Best Bromance.
Yes.
That hands down has to be the winner. Like, come on.
It has to be. I mean, we were, you know, I will say this, though, you know, that is one of those things where, you know, that is one of those things where, you know,
you know, in all sincerity, it was so, and Ryan and I just talked about this when we were together
again, it was so organic and just genuinely real that it was like one of those things where
we didn't know we weren't supposed to get along. We didn't know they were supposed to be
tension. You know, we were like, hey man, I really like this dude. I mean, if it can't be me,
I sure hope it's him, you know, and it was genuinely that feeling of camaraderie and friendship.
And so, you know, I can say honestly, I have, I personally have watched most seasons at some
point or another. The only time I've seen anything like it or with the golden guys. I will say
that. And so I think the only people that will give us a run here are the mansion men. But
if you look at it from the standpoint of being a little, maybe a little more mature beyond our
age or beyond our years at that point, I would have to give hats off to the Trista Bachelorette
season one guys for that. Plus, I got to win something. I mean, if I'm being iced out of my
own award for Bachelor, even though I have to announce it, at least give me a chance.
to, you know, win something, Sugarman.
God's sake.
Oh, my gosh.
So I thankfully fell on the list of Best Bachelorette.
I was a little shocked, to be honest.
Yes.
I mean, good company.
Well, there's five candidates.
There's five candidates there.
There's only four under Bachelor.
So at least they realize that, hey, oh, that's right, Trista does, you know, she's going to win,
but also we better have her in the minutes.
No, that's not true.
I don't, you know, it's funny because.
Most of the people, sorry, most of the people who will probably vote for this are way younger
than us.
So the chances that me or you and the rest of my cast win for Best Bromance are very small.
I don't expect that kind of stuff, but it is really fun.
I love a good award show and I love that this is all about The Bachelor.
So thank you for Almost Famous for doing this and I heart.
I got to find if there's another category we can get Ben nominated.
And he's only nominated in a couple.
So we're going to try and see if we can stack the deck a little more here.
I'll work on that.
I'm going to work on some more.
Yeah, he's under Best Bromance also.
That's nice.
So he'll probably win that one.
Yeah, you know, it's nice.
It's nice to see his name in there a lot.
So anyway, what are you saying?
I'm sorry.
I got a little concerned.
Enough about no one talking about me.
Let's not talk about me.
Okay, so voting is open until September 11th.
So go on and vote.
We will both be posting on our socials if you want to figure it out.
But you can find all the information, I'm sure, on the almost famous Instagram page.
There are some really good ones in here as well.
I mean, one of the things I love, and this is something we had talked about previously, was what is this one?
This one is worst line ever said.
And it was, oh gosh, it's so.
cringeworthy man i remember it so well i i swear i remember this one like it was yesterday where
jake pevelka is talking and he's talking about her you know interrupting him and he and she starts
to talk and she says something is we stop interrupting me she's like that's it i'm out of here
and it was so oh my god i remember watching it like it was like watching the oj thing when he's
driving down the highway doing seven miles an hour i was just like my mouth was wide open going
what in the hell is happening here i remember that so well
Oh, God.
Yeah, totally.
Well, and I do have to say we just got, well, not just.
We were in Tahoe recently for the almost famous pickleball event that was so much fun.
I had the best time.
Yeah, it's always great to just get together with, you know, our Bachelor family and also some housewives and.
Oh, gosh.
And just the almost famous crew.
Like all of the people who work behind the scenes.
I love you all.
It was so much fun.
It was great.
And thank you.
Thank you for doing all that too.
I mean, Trista, you had such a great idea with this whole thing.
I did nothing.
No, I'm saying thank you to our team.
They got out there and they set this thing up and you would have thought that they had
been planning a pickleball tournament for, you know, five years, the way that this thing
went off without a hitch.
It was unbelievable.
And, I mean, so much fun.
And what I think is really great.
to is how Amy and her team come up with awards. Oh, wait, sorry. No, that's not the one. How Amy
and her team, no, what I think is super great is how Amy and her team find a really healthy
mix of people. Like, it's always a few different people here and there. And most of them are people
that I'm meeting for the first time in a lot of circumstances. And it's always a nice blend.
It gets really great. I just, I mean, they're really good, really great at that. And that's a
lot of fun. And thank you guys for all your hard work. Yes. Thank you for
everybody. We had a great time on the boat. We had a great time playing pickle. We had a great
time just hanging out of the house and eating some great food. But the boat, we'll talk about the
boat because the boat was owned or is owned by somebody that you all have probably seen
before if you watch the show in the OG days. So we sat and watched this video in Tahoe, me and you
Indiana and oh my gosh it brought back so many memories because it was actually during the show
that we're going to bring on you know the guest that was on the show that they announced my
season of the bachelorette and me and chris had a little sit down chat um it was it was just
crazy like putting myself back in that time of when it was being announced um because gosh it's
been a really long time and just all the feels that came along with it. You know, I will say
this, you were so spunky. You were so spunky in your interview. And so much has changed,
but so much has stayed the same. You know, like you look so, you look exactly like you are
like still, still just funny and spunky as ever. And in that thing, I was watching it and I was
like, you know, it's no question why America fell in love with you, Trista. Like in that little
video thing and you're sitting there talking to Chris and you,
you're being funny and engaging in just yourself, which you always are.
But it was like, sitting there watching, I was like, oh, man, yep, I get it.
I remember this now.
You know, it was like, I remember, it took me back as well, you know, to that whole thing.
I love seeing our old friends that, you know, were producers on the show back then, like Lisa Levinson and all the different people that were coming up and being so funny.
Sal, Jason Carbone.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So good.
So great.
So great.
Jeffers.
Okay.
Yes.
Yes. Oh my gosh. I loved that. I loved seeing their faces. So we are really excited to chat with one of the people that was being considered for The Bachelor after my season. His name is Jason Domachino, I think, is how you correct it. And we'd love to bring him in to the podcast.
Yes. Let's bring him on in. Jason D. He would have been Jason D in later seasons when they started abbreviating his last names.
Yeah, totally.
What I thought was so great about Jason was we're on the boat.
I'm on the first batch of boaties, and we're just kind of driving along.
And he's like, you know, yeah, you know, I'm not super familiar with the show.
I mean, well, I mean, I did, you know, I did audition for it.
I'm like, wait, what?
Hold on.
Hold the phone.
He's like, yeah.
It is so great.
What's up, Jason?
Welcome to the show, buddy.
Hey, Bob.
Ghost party.
Go party, baby.
That's right.
Go green.
Hey, so glad to have you on.
We were just kind of given the world a little bit of an earful about how, you know, you and I are the boat.
And you're like, yeah, you know, I've known Amy Sugarman for a long time.
We kind of went to high school together stuff.
And then all of a sudden, you're like, you know, I'm not super familiar with the show.
I mean, I did audition for it once.
I'm like, wait, wait, what?
Oh, yeah, I was a finalist for season two.
I'm like, hold on, hold on.
And then you pull up this little screenshot and showed it to me.
I'm like, this is amazing.
We got to talk to this guy.
Yes.
It was a coincidence.
I mean, seriously, it was a total coincidence.
and the timing was great.
And I, yeah, when I saw you guys were on the boat,
I just had to tell you that for a win, loser, nothing else, you know.
Yeah, so, it was awesome.
I mean, you know, it was so fun.
You know, we meet you on the boat.
You're, you know, really, you were so lovely on the boat, too,
giving us a tour of the whole place and filling us in on, you know,
some of the history of Lake Tahoe.
And, I mean, very knowledgeable about that area.
So how did this whole thing come to pass?
Because what was also part of that video that we loved,
that we were talking about before we brought you on
was it also was the announcement of Trista
as the new Bachelorette, which was super
cool. And we discovered that. Tristan and I
discovered that when I dropped her off
the final cruise you might say that day.
I showed Tristan and she goes, oh my God,
that's me. You know, that was
the show. So yeah,
the timing was interesting there.
And yeah, that's
an experience. I'm sure you guys, obviously,
going to rate a lot more, but an experience
I'll never forget. And, you know,
I had an ex-girlfriend from graduate
school in New York. She nominated me behind my back, just you know, for the record. And
Burbank called me, and one thing led to another. A couple of tapes were sent back and forth
in 2002. And I was on a one-way ticket on Southwest Airlines to L.A. And they had me typecasted
pretty good. They had a good job. Well, we were going to say that, right, Trista? Like, we were
like, how does it feel? Because, you know, here's the, if we're thinking about this, Trista,
like from your and my experience compared to Jason's, right? We were going to, we were going to
We were both like the ones that they were making The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
So they had to say nice stuff about us, right?
And Trista, you can't help but say nice things about Trista.
Me, they could take some shots with ease and it would have been perfectly fine.
But like for you, I loved that whole Lisa Levinson's engagement with you.
And she's like, oh, Jason, here we go, you know.
Well, I learned the hard way that when they have so much content, they can make you, they can make you whoever you want.
they had me type casted as the JFK Jr.
of San Francisco, you know?
There you go.
What are you going to do?
I don't run wind sprints.
I don't run rinse sprints in Presidio Heights in San Francisco.
I don't mount bike shirtless with no helmet, you know.
That day you did.
That day you did.
Yeah.
You were playing a mean game of horse or something there on your own.
It was amazing.
That was so funny.
Well, Tristan, the- Yes.
Yeah.
The irony of at all is, is that when now,
When the premiere came, San Francisco, they had a premiere party for me, because I was the only San Francisco guy, and a board got around.
And my date back then, Katie, she left after she saw the taping.
She goes, during the premiere, she walked out of the building.
Well, she's now my wife, 25 years later.
She is.
Full circle, baby.
Full circle.
We just got married in October, but, you know.
She was in, she was in UCLA and was in Malibu for 20 years and we kept in contact,
but it's just a testament ironically about love, you know?
Yes.
I was 52 years old.
It took me 52 years to find Katie and she was the only person I was going to marry.
So I live in Lake Tahoe.
I'm in the Uncle Hall of Fame.
I don't need, I didn't need a wife.
But Katie was the old woman and it worked out.
So really a testament to our love, I think.
She, we met again, so it was great.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now hold up, isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

injuries, losses.
I always heard himself.
What has Novak Djokovic done?
What goes through your mind when you lose?
I just want to be left alone.
What has it taken to become Novak Djokovic?
It's a consistent practice.
It's prayer work, mindfulness, meditation, conscious breathing.
It requires more responsibility from you on a daily basis
to prepare yourself for the biggest battle.
When you reach your 30, you start counting your days to your retirement.
I'm 38 this year. How far can I go? How long can I push my own limits?

Have you ever wished for a change but weren't sure how to make it?
Maybe you felt stuck in a job, a place, or even a relationship.
I'm Emily Tish Sussman, and on she pivots, I dive into the inspiring pivots of women who have taken big leaps in their lives and careers.
I'm Gretchen Whitmer, Jody Sweetie.
Monica Patton. Elaine Welteroff. I'm Jessica Voss. And that's when I was like, I got to go. I don't know how, but that kicked off the pivot of how to make the transition. Learn how to get comfortable pivoting because your life is going to be full of them.
Every episode gets real about the why behind these changes and gives you the inspiration and maybe the push to make your next pivot.
Listen to these women and more on She Pivots now on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I think Jason, I think Tristan and I might be able to count this as another win for the Bachelor franchise.
I mean, I don't know about that.
But what I do, what I am wondering, so we did pay attention to what the producers were saying during your, you know, little clips.
And one of the things that they said, or maybe it was you, you said that you were having relations with three women at the same time.
is that when Katie walked out the door?
Yeah.
And I kept saying, I said, babe, this was nine months ago.
We're real.
Right now we're over like a fart in church.
Let me tell you.
I wouldn't have guessed that wouldn't have been, that wouldn't have been the perfect moment for your girlfriend at the time.
And then, you know, get back for two.
This whole thing was new, right?
This whole reality television and taping in the past here.
We're in the future.
and I tried to explain
her one quick story
we had dinner that night
before the premiere
and my buddies
call me from New York
and they call me at dinner
and they say Jason
is Katie with you
I said yeah we're having sushi
and they said
well we just saw your show man
because of three hours ahead
you may want a second
you may want a second guest
this premiere
I said that's too late now man
here we go
yeah here we go
so they gave me a little
a little heads up
yeah that's
that's nice of your buddies
But unfortunately, you know what, though, everything works out the way it's supposed to you, right?
So at the end of the day, has she not seen that premiere in a stormed out?
You know, you might have, things might never have worked out.
A hundred percent.
You know, and I'm wondering, too, Bob, do you have children?
How old are your children?
I do.
I have a six-year-old and a four-year-old boy, yeah.
Okay, and then, Tristan, I know you have teenagers, you know, and yeah.
Amy sent me that real, but right before Art we met, you know, that day of.
And I showed my nieces and nephews who were high school kids and college kids, and they tripped out.
You know, they couldn't believe that that was Uncle Jason.
You know, but with Trista, and your children, too, Bob, as they get older,
they're going to trip, obviously, Krista, now they know, you know,
who you and dad are and all that stuff.
And Bob, too, it's an amazing, it's an amazing experience, again, for better or for worse.
We always have that in common, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That special moment with the ABC bubble in the corner of screen right there.
Yeah, yeah.
I love it.
I love it. I love it.
So what did your family think about, and friends?
Yeah.
When this video came out.
What were your, what were the things that you were getting comments-wise from your friends?
It was not that.
It wasn't good.
Like, my grandparents are probably, they're deceased now, but they were probably in their 60s, you know, you know, and there was, there was, there was, my brothers were in, there was college parties.
There were parties around the Bay Area.
And I, well, first five, I spent the rest of the night putting out the Katie fire.
But then the next day comes, and it's, you know, it's before texting, basically, it's around that time.
But it was just, I had to explain myself and say, hey, I learned the hard way.
you know, they flatter you, they flatter you, you know, the 11 sins of the world, they bait you,
they bait you, and all of a sudden they get this image they created, and it was not, it didn't
depict, didn't depict who I was truly, but they kind of, they stroked you a little bit,
and you get carried away, and so I had explained to them that, and it was a real hard lesson
about humility, you know, it was a dose, and I will say this, I don't think I ever had a chance
to be on that show, for a lot of reasons, I mean, the Bachelor,
A side story was
My brother got married during taping
And I had to go to Napa
I was his best man
So I was allowed to call him
I vanished
As you know you vanish for a few weeks
You know or whatever it is
My mom was my only emergency contact
And I called Tommy
I go Tom I said
You know I'm on this
Reality show
It doesn't make a difference
But they want to bring the camera crew
To Napa
And he said no
That's not going to happen
Obviously
Because think of that
The best man
The whole thing
Napa beautiful wedding
But I had to
I had a lot of explaining to do
Especially my grandparents
Because you know
They're old school
They didn't understand the whole
The verbiage
The freaking
The content
Well it was racy
It was racy at the time too right
Like now
Now it's pretty
You know
Vanilla compared to
Things that you see on TV now
But back then it was kind of racy
Yeah I could see that
You know my family reacted the same way
Yeah
Eric Bergey's on an airplane
He's a banker
and I'm just, you know, I'm flirting with girl.
It was just a whole deal.
You're having relations with three different women and shirtless.
I'm just hopeful, I'm just hopeful that someone can love me despite my large bank account.
Yeah, that's not true.
I'm not rich.
I'm rich in friendships.
I mean, it was the best.
But you know what, man, we both know how that works with the producers.
And I'm sure they're saying, oh, you know what you should say?
You should say this.
It'll really, you know, really help resonate you with the crowd.
People are going to love it, you know, and you're not even thinking.
I was thinking about this today.
I was thinking about us today, and one of the scenes has me with my sunglasses on,
going down the hallway with one of the interns, arm and arm, and they're filming that.
Well, they grabbed my arm.
They set me up, like, you know, like in Mona Lisa.
I was framed.
I was framed.
He got a bad edit.
I was framed, like the Mona Lisa.
I've never heard that.
He had a bad edit.
I love it.
I love it.
I went along.
with that hope line and sinker and I
I guess I was a
I provided a purpose for the final four
so there you go there you go
it was fun I mean again
my high school and college
classmates they couldn't believe you know
at the time they go what the one of
Jason Domachino is on national television
and work out around it was fun
but no regrets I just wish I could have been
a little more mindful of the hundreds of minutes
they had on me you know
hundreds of minutes
I have to say one of the
other fun things that I felt like you said was they asked you if you could get engaged when
it comes to engagement. And you said, I can do it. Not saying I will do it, but I'm capable of
doing it like, like, oh yeah, I can get down on a knee, basically. I can bend down. I mean,
yeah, I can bend down. Yeah. My fever is cold as ice. Yeah. You know, cold feet.
My fever cold as ice. And that wouldn't have gone over well if you had said that, you know. I don't
I think you would even have been considered for the show, but that is so funny.
It's so funny.
I loved it.
I loved it.
Especially after meeting you, too, like, you know, we meet you and you're just like
super nice guy, super affable, saying hi to everybody, you know, being so inclusive.
And then you watch that little clips and you're like, oh, my God, I love it.
I can't wait to tease them about this one, you know.
So I'm sure your friends got a lot of miles out of that with you for a long time.
They did.
And I had a little, you know, Vincent Chase moment, too.
I didn't pay for a drink in San Francisco.
Francisco for a little bit. And my authorized, they didn't pay for drinks either for a good couple
of months. They took advantage of that. Okay, great. Good. At least you got something out of the
hundreds of minutes or whatever, you know. What's interesting is half the things you're saying
right now, Katie was, she left so early in this, in this, in that 15 minute clip, then when she
saw the video again, you know, privately with me as a married couple, she, it was all new to her,
half of it was new to her.
And then it wasn't going to go for too well either.
Oh, no.
Brought up old wounds.
Sorry, Katie.
Yeah.
Sorry, Katie.
Yeah, please, Katie, accept our apologies on behalf of the Bachelor community.
So I would love to know if you were considered for future seasons after that.
Did they get in touch with you again?
No, I think I just, I just went back to my job and tried to live my normal life, which I did, you
know, of course. And that was it. There was no, there was no, I guess, I guess the Bachelorette would
have been my next move, I guess, during that time. Yeah. I guess the franchise has gotten in a different
venues and angles now, but no, I just kind of went back into the oblivion of a, of normalcy,
you know? Yeah. Happens the best of us, buddy. Yeah, it happens to the best of us.
But I got it. I must admit, you know, I told Katie this too. She's upstairs, but I said, you know,
you two, you two handled a talent success in that limelight so well. And with,
class. I mean, I remember you, Trista, because
well, you're not, you guys are both
icons, but like, I thought about this. Legacy
wise, you know, Trista, you were the first of
many that followed you.
Like, um, it's kind of a
morbid thing, Tristan, but you just know this.
When you, when you do, when you pass away
someday, right? You're going to,
you're going to be remembered as the first woman,
the first bachelor's at. I'm not wrong
here, right? Like, you're not going to be forgotten.
Which is right. I hope's not.
I hope not. Yeah. You will be forgotten.
Bob, you too. You were
it's almost like being the president of the United States
or president for women.
You guys have that book,
that place mark in history,
which is really cool.
That's nice.
That's nice of you to say that.
I mean,
I hope I would be considered one of the favorites.
Yeah.
You know,
when you're looking at The Bachelor's,
like if you were to say like favorite bachelor,
like maybe one of the,
I don't know, top five, you know,
that could be possibly voted on for an award or something.
Like I would hope that would be potential.
But you never know.
I mean, so many things can happen, you know.
You know, I don't watch the shows.
I don't.
In fact, I put a bad taste in my mouth, to be perfectly honest.
Sure.
But I remember, you for sure, trust, the guy of Aaron My era in the Firestone, Andrew Firestone, and then, and then you Bob, that's it.
I don't really think, I don't really watch it, like Howard Stern does.
You know, I don't watch this.
Right, right.
But you were one of the original, literally, you guys were obviously the OGs of that franchise.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Yeah.
And you guys, you guys hand.
built with class and you guys are ambassadors and it's um i told katia i just it's um it's really
life is life is trippy so it's an honor life is trippy yeah it is really nice to meet you guys
and you know um i did a favor for you know for amy on the boat and um it's not my job you know
i just i just i just i endorse Lake Tahoe you know i i endorse it it's a it's a community
that people it's a tourist community and i'm glad you had fun i saw some
Instagram we had fun yeah yeah it was great thank you so much the boat was great
Tahoe is beautiful and we're big fans in this family we're gonna hop on the boat a little bit
have you got I live I live stone throw from chambers landing you guys went to chambers one night
did you guys go to chambers I've been there but I wasn't there that night where our flight got
delayed so yeah I wasn't either I got in super late yeah so but chambers landing is beautiful
beautiful that's where i live basically and um i don't take a day i don't take a day for granted in
general but living here it's it's special to live in a um in a resort town you know yeah i lived in
vale for 20 years so i totally totally get it very small town very you know resort feel and
i totally get it so thank you so much for taking us all out in detroit
I know he was out, he was out and I met Canyon, who's a wonderful woman.
Thank you.
Yeah.
You hit a home run there, Bob.
Thanks, buddy.
Yes, sir.
We both did, we both did well.
You both did well.
It rises as iconic as you two.
I mean, it just what it is.
And it's a true testament.
So it's a lot of irony here with Katie being there.
And then 25 years later, we got married.
And we're both in our 50s and late 40s for her.
and to meet you guys and to
life is really bizarre and trippy
and I'm really happy to be on
and I'm now a fan of yours.
I actually, I spend the wheel
in my podcast. I hope that wheel hits
the OG podcast. So it's...
Yay!
Thank you. Yay!
My boyfriend's professor is way
too friendly and now I'm seriously
suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's
just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK story.
time podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

It's carrot top, baby.

December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport.
The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys.
Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed.
There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal.
Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal glass.
The injured were being loaded into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay.
Terrorism.
Law and order, criminal justice system is back.
In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight.
that's harder to predict and even harder to stop.

The world's number one male tennis player.
He's won 14 grand slams in a lot.
a glittering career. Novak Djokovic. You've been through so many injuries, loss.
I always showed himself. What has Novak Djokovic done? What goes through your mind when you lose?
I just want to be left alone. What has it taken to become Novak Djokovic?
It's a consistent practice. It's prayer work, mindfulness, meditation, conscious breathing.
It requires more responsibility from you on a daily basis to prepare yourself for a biggest battle. When you
reach your 30, you start counting your days to your retirement. I'm 38 this year. How far can I go? How

I don't know how, but that kicked off the pivot of how to make the transition.

and gives you the inspiration and maybe the push to make your next pivot.

Hey, I have a question for you, Jason.
So obviously at that time, you know, you were, you were being considered for the next Bachelor role.
How did they tell you that it wasn't going to be you?
Or did you find out when they announced it after that premiere?
Like, did you think that maybe you still had a chance?
Like, where, what were the, what was going through your mind and how did you find out?
Like, what were the mechanics of it back then?
You, I don't, I know, I know that I wasn't, but I knew I was, I knew I wasn't because they told me, I think they said it, we went a different direction.
I also told them about my brother's wedding.
It just, you know, but, as you know, you can't spill the beans either, right?
So, right.
I go in there and, like, you know, did this premiere, A, knowing, but my New York friends, they knew, they knew I was in Barney Rubble, Trouble with Katie.
And I couldn't say anything to anybody about anything.
So I knew going into it that I wasn't to be the guy, but it's okay.
Again, you live and you learn.
I talk a lot like right now, but I've become a big fan of listening more than talking since that day.
Since that day.
That's the learning lesson from my experience with Bachelor Nation.
God gave it two ears and one mouth for a reason, right?
I say that to my boys every single day.
I'm like, guys, look, we got two of these and one of these.
So let's cut the productivity of something in half.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what I remember the most.
And 2002, you know, again, that was 23 years ago.
Technology's got a lot.
I mean, there wasn't Instagram, but there was big, I guess, MySpace, baby.
There wasn't a big social media part.
Thank God at that time for me.
I had to put out fires locally.
Yeah.
Oh, thank God. No social media.
I love Lisa Levinson's comment where she's like, he's a real Casanova, this guy.
I mean, she was, they were playing you up.
And, I mean, we both worked with Lisa as well on our seasons and loved her, you know,
and realized the spunk that she would bring to things.
Like, she had just a fiery, you know, approach to things.
And I'm sure that had to kind of help fuel the fire for every,
half the things you were saying.
Yeah, for you too as well, did you guys have any rights or
rights of refusal like cuts and stuff no whatever they decide is yeah yeah yeah boy that was
that was amazing anything on the cutting room floor that you were so thankful didn't make it
no they got an old guy they got it but i don't say this you know like me running for instance
slow motion like anthony kittis for the chili peppers uh bitch yeah but at least like the golden gate
bridges that back there was cool backdrops you know yeah you know i kind of
Yeah.
Beach up basketball up the hill and there's Coit Tower.
Okay, great.
But it was just, they had the local ABC crew with me that day in the NSF, my shirtless day.
And I kept, they kept telling the ABC was calling ABC, SoCal, no Cal.
I kept telling the guy, or the liaison, can I put my shirt on, please?
I mean, I'm found by Kelman.
Sorry.
Yeah, yeah.
No shirt for you.
I kept telling them,
is it short times and not.
They just let it roll.
They knew what they wanted, Bob.
They knew what they wanted, you know.
I'm sure they did, buddy.
Well, you know, they needed.
Yeah, they wanted you, buddy.
They might not have wanted you for, you know,
what you were hoping they wanted you for,
but they definitely needed you.
I mean, you watch that.
I was just looking at this.
You know, we've got some notes about the other guys
that were on there for that in that episode.
Did you ever meet those guys?
because you have, let's see, you had an Air Force captain.
Yep.
You had John, the financial consultant from Pennsylvania,
Robert International businessman from New York,
Mark Air Force Captain from California,
Aaron Bergey, of course,
who banker owned a family in the Midwest
and ended up being the guy.
And then, of course, Jason, at the time, 30 years old,
owned an executive search firm living in San Fran.
And they said you were looking for a woman
who will love him despite his large bank account.
Yeah, I mentioned the Target snack bar for a reason, by the way.
Yeah, yes, that was mentioned.
I do remember that.
Yeah.
Oh, gosh.
During the tapings, you know, we were down there interviewing all of us.
It was a Universal Studios, I remember, one of the hotels.
They would shuttle us, you know, incognito, between hallways.
So I didn't see any of the guys.
I didn't know.
I just was in my little world there, you know.
As you guys probably know, they just kind of keep you going through the interns,
take you different places, and that's how that went.
So, yeah, whoever those guys are, I wish, I hope they're all doing well, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah, on behalf of all them, you're welcome, boys, for the distraction of me.
God.
So good.
Yeah.
You made it fun, man.
Jason, you made it fun, honestly.
Yes, again, I married the woman of my dreams.
I'm not being cheesy.
Kini was my only woman.
And so it all worked out in a crazy, again, that way, like all you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Isn't it crazy?
Life has a funny way of working out, man.
It does.
And you guys, you know, again, I think we have more in common than just this OG show.
And someday, if you ever come out, you know, if I make a way to Detroit, you know.
Hey, man.
Everybody connects through Detroit.
All roads lead through Detroit somehow, some way.
Thank you.
Amy Sugarman's brother used to coach the Lions, and he lived in Birmingham.
I know, I know, right near us.
Yeah, that's one city over from where I live.
Yeah.
I spent a couple nights there.
It was beautiful.
It was nice.
You know.
Yeah.
And it's even gotten a whole lot nicer now since, you know, they've really built up
the area.
So it's actually pretty beautiful.
A lot of the top chefs want to have restaurants here.
And we're like, okay, you can come.
We get it.
We weren't your first choice, but we're your choice now.
Well, Jason, thank you so much for joining us, man.
You're a lot of fun.
I'm so glad you had that experience and that we got to find out about it.
I mean, honestly, God, I thought at one point, you know, how easily this could,
could have just been something we never knew about.
And for us to be able to find out about it on the boat with you
and through the I-Heart team, it was pretty amazing.
And I, for one, think you handled yourself very well.
So I don't let anybody pick on you.
I think you did a great job.
Yep.
I like you to fight your large bank account.
Oh, my gosh.
And I didn't know me to print your faces.
I just thought there was a story to tell.
And I wanted you to know who you were talking to, who the captain was.
It was more than just your captain.
That's right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's a connection.
I loved it.
Life's all about connections.
So thanks so much for coming on the podcast.
We love chatting with you and like really bringing back memories for me because I remember watching you on the show.
Like I remember watching that, not just my announcement, but I remember you on the show.
So thank you.
Thank you for coming on the OGs and chatting with us a little bit.
You have two new fans in Lake Tahoe, guys.
Thank you very much.
Oh, great.
Tell Katie hi.
Yes, please tell her hello from us.
Bye, Bob.
Bye, Jason. Thanks, buddy.
Bye, Jason.
I'm so glad we had him on. That was fun.
I know. I love it. I mean, I love that we can chat with people who aren't, you know, just on the show.
Yeah.
And really, truly, like I just said, I do remember him from the show.
It may have been because of all those little comments.
Yeah. Yeah, maybe so.
I'm trying to find somebody who loves me despite my bank account.
So good.
I'm glad he like took away something from the experience that means more than all of this combined.
And that's just, you know, that, you know, Katie's the one for him and listening more than talking and that kind of thing.
Yeah.
Well, and I think, too, you know, something that I like about.
bottom is he has the ability to laugh at himself, you know, like you and I do it all the time. And it's like
when you put yourself out there, you've got to, if you, if you aren't willing to do that,
then you're really setting yourself up for some heartbreak, you know, and it's like for him
to be able to laugh at himself and look back at that moment and go, oh my God, what was I
thinking? You know, we've all had those moments, not, you know, most people out there haven't had
and play out in front of millions of viewers, but, you know, thankfully, thankfully for us, we did
and people responded to us in a really nice way. And, you know, I think this,
pretty cool he has ability to laugh at himself so good for you jason and thanks for joining us we appreciate
you yes i think they're learning lessons that everyone can can take from this episode um laughing yourself
and i had never heard the god gave you two ears and one mouth so oh you've never heard that i'm
taking that oh my gosh i say it to my boys all the time i'm like hey what are these my ears how many
two what's this my mouth how many of those one why do you think that is because the mouth has to be louder
in order to match the two ears.
Yeah, there's that too.
Believe you in this house,
that certainly plays true.
Yeah.
A loud house.
Okay.
Well, thank you, everybody, for listening.
Once again,
please go to the Almost Famous Instagram page
and make sure you go and vote
for the Almost Famous Podcast Awards.
We cannot wait to hear what goes down
and who wins.
Me, me, me, me, me, me, pick me.
Yeah, can I get the bromance thing, please? Can I get in there something?
I will say this. I love that I always have loved this about our friendship, is that, you know, sometimes I won't even think you're listening to me, and I'll just say things, and then I'll watch you just start laughing, and I'm so happy when you get my jokes.
So thank you for always doing that for me. Oh, my God. I have the time I say things only for you, for you to hear and to make you laugh at it.
Thank you. Apparently it makes good potting as well, because, you know, people seem like it.
I'll take it. I love a little laughter. I do too. Well, thank you, everyone for listening,
and we appreciate you. Yes, make sure you go and vote for these very fun superlative awards.
We can't wait the first annual, almost famous podcast awards. So I'm very excited. I'm going to
get my vote and going here, too. I'm torn, though. I'm going to be very torn. I won't lie
because I've always said, Andrew Firestone is my favorite bachelor, but Ben Higgins is also.
And, Sean, I mean, there's some pretty good ones on that list.
So I'm a little torn as to where I'm going to go with my voting.
But I will vote.
You know, you have to vote.
You have to be heard.
I want to be heard.
Yes, please.
Okay.
Bye, everybody.
Yes.
Yes.
