This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast
and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The U.S. Open is here and on my podcast, Good Game with Sarah Spain.

And want to hear people with mental illness, psycho babble.
Yes, yes.
Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you.
open your free iHeartRadio app search emergency intercom and listen now this is the ben and ashley i almost
famous podcast with i heart radio bob guinea here almost famous the o gis we are back we're still
the almost famously average golf outing famously the first annual i'm assuming first annual um
in san francisco we're kind of in san francisco we're outside of san francisco but we're going to wine country
today we're going to be at wenty vineyards we get to play and drink we get to play and drink and i've
heard they have some great wines so i'm very excited about that so i'm here with susan knolls from of course
the golden bachelor and we have become buddies over the years this is not even our first time in san fran
together but you know i've been seeing each other for a minute we've been seeing each other for a hot minute
yeah yeah but i wanted to talk to you about something that i've never asked you about and i was so
excited when i saw you doing it um and you were partnered with my friend jenny garth and it was the
QVC, 50 most quintessential women.
And tell me about it.
I want to hear all about it.
Quintessential and 50.
Yes.
It's about, and you know, it's funny because when we got off the show, that was our message to all ladies.
I was really saying over 60, but, you know, there was a few under 60, which I didn't know until last night when we were talking about that.
But the point is, some people feel invisible.
Some people feel like they have nothing left.
They raise their kids, their grandkids, and they're just sitting at home.
so much out there. And when I joined the Q50, it's the age of opportunity. And that says it in a
nutshell. So I stayed with the same theme coming off the show and it just fit right in.
Isn't that something? Jenny is just adorable. Isn't she sweet? Yes. She just put out her new
lines. She sent me all kinds of pretty things. Oh, that's so cool. Yeah. She's so great.
I've always, I've always been, I used to have the biggest crush on her, of course, growing up.
and then loved, you know, as I started, actually when Amy Sugarman started calling me to do
podcast stuff with her, I would fill in for Tori and Jenny and, you know, do their 90210 stuff.
And, you know, we were always kind of like, you know, connecting in that regard.
We had tons of mutual friends.
And then, and it was just so fun to see you out there with her.
I'm like, oh, my God, I love this.
You know what I love best?
Her voice.
Yeah.
It's so, I'm loud.
I'm in charge.
But I love talking to her because I feel like I lower mine just a little bit.
Well, she makes it like you're having this intimate conversation.
Yes.
Even if there's 50 people in the room.
And she's so pretty.
God bless.
She's lovely.
I'm happy for her.
I am too.
Well, I'm happy for you.
I thought that was such a cool honor.
Yes.
I've been doing a lot with QVC.
Yeah.
So what else are you doing?
I mean, I even read something today that we're, have you been doing things on air with
them as well?
Twice now.
The first one, I felt like a fish out of water.
The second one, it's funny.
I had a wedding first.
I was officiating a wedding.
and then we don't go on until 10 o'clock at night.
So I was made up, did a wedding outdoors.
I was sweating.
I get there and they put more makeup on me.
And I was like, oh, God.
When I saw myself on the TV, I was like, ew, I looked a hot mess.
It's brutal when you feel that way because even though I'm sure you looked great,
you can't get it out of your head, you know?
Yeah.
I've had a couple of experiences like that.
And I started getting to the point.
I had always heard that George Clooney would only let them put powder on him, right?
after a while.
And so I started doing that.
I'd always go, hold on, hold on, hold on.
So I'm going to throw the powder on me, man.
Because I don't want to look like a clown up here, you know.
I got that down already.
I've already come out as a cloud.
So November 10th is a good day for me for QVC.
Is that, that's coming up, you mean?
I'm going to come out with my line.
Oh, no kidding.
Tell me about it.
Are we allowed to talk about it?
They were on Golden Bachelor.
They were on the show I just filmed that you could look for on Hulu
in January.
mimi's meatballs.
Oh, my gosh.
How exciting.
So I'm hoping I'm tasting different things right now.
And so will you be part of the whole process?
Are you going to be part of the, like you choose the ingredients?
Like how invested are you going to be on this?
So I had two, I wanted them rolled because I have a bad shoulder.
And I hate rolling meatballs.
Especially when I do my wedding soup.
Sure.
I make like 200 little meatballs.
Oh, my gosh.
So that was my thought.
Well, I got to taste the rolled ones.
They don't look like meat.
Yeah.
And they were scary, but they tasted okay.
Yeah.
Then I got a meatball mixed of eel, beef, and pork, and all my ingredients.
Yeah.
It was way better, much more money, but they won't roll them.
Okay.
So I'm in the lemon.
So you're going to figure that part out.
Yeah.
It's got to be a way.
I know.
I don't know.
I'll figure it out.
Meatball's meat.
I mean, Mimi's meat, really?
Come on.
What do we, you know what?
I think you get bachelor.
on board. You know, what we'll do is we'll take the next, the next, you know,
a crop of people. And before they can, you know, get a podcast or do tooth whitening
strips, I've got to roll some meatballs. Or maybe I should do loungeware.
Just forget the other, you know, one of the other, you know, one of the other Mimi's loungeware.
I like them both. I like them up. Or do a combo pack, you know, get some loungeware and some
meatballs. I've had some fabulous, fabulous opportunities. Oh, I'm sure.
Since the show. It's been great. Well, you know, I was saying it to Kathy when Kathy was on, too,
And I know you guys have golden hours, is your podcast.
Yes, yes.
But you guys have both had so much fun.
It had to feel really good to just have kind of America talk back to you and be like,
hey, we really like you.
I want to see more of you, you know.
You get such good things, people say, and then you also get those ugly things.
Oh, sure.
Yeah.
I was talking about that earlier.
I was told some great advice once, and this was a piece of Oprah advice.
And she said, you know, the people who have.
The negative things to say are people who are commenting on you living your life, right?
It's sad.
So, like, when you think about it, how often are you sitting at home going, man, I need to comment
on how that person's lived?
Yeah, let me take three hours and trash people online.
Yeah, I'm just not going to do it.
And so, yeah, there's a certain blend of people that are doing it and they're going to
do it to somebody else.
So my thought process is, hey, come at me because I'm strong enough to handle it,
leave the other people alone, right?
And share my energy.
That's what this is about too.
I've motivated people.
Like, it's amazing how many people write to me and say, you know, that I'm changing them.
They're getting up.
They're walking.
They're doing whatever.
Yeah.
That's what it's about.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast.
So we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging.
out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other,
but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor,
and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him
because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I don't write songs. God write songs. I take dictation.
I didn't even know you've been a pastor for over 10 years.
I think culture is any space that you live in that develops you.
On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast, I sat down with Warren Campbell, Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive to talk about the beats, the business, and the legacy behind some of the biggest names in gospel, R&B, and hip-hop.
This is like watching Michael Jackson talk about Thurley before it happened.
Was there a particular moment where you realize just how instrumental music culture was to shaping all of our global ecosystem?
I was eight years old, and the Motown 25 special came on.
And all the great Motown artists, Marvin, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Raw.
From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson, we get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it.

Hi, I'm Kurt Browneuler.
And I am Scotty Landis, and we host Bananas, the Weird News Podcasts with wonderful guests like Whitney Cummings.
And tackle the truly tough questions.
Why is cool mom and insult, but mom is fine?
No.
I always say, Kurt's a fun dad.
Fun dad and cool mom.
That's cool for me.
We also dig into important life stuff.
Like, why our last names would make the worst hyphen ever?
My last name is Cummings.
I have sympathy for nobody.
Yeah, mine's brown-olar, but with an H.
So it looks like brown-holer.
Okay, that's, okay, yours might be worse.
We can never get married.
Yeah.

informant, but he wasn't shot on a street corner. He wasn't shot in the middle of a drug deal.
He was shot in his house, unarmed. Pretty Private isn't just a podcast. It's your personal guide

Well, I like what you said about how you feel like,
some people feel like they reach a certain age
and they become invisible.
And, you know, my mom is 78.
God bless.
And she has always been the life of the party, the bell of the ball.
And my dad passed away.
So you take after your mom.
Yeah, yeah, I really did.
My dad passed away, and I've been so worried about my mom
because she's not engaging the way that she always has in the past,
and I want her to feel that.
She's 78.
She's tired.
I know, I know.
But she's always just been this bundle of energy, and she still has moments, you know,
and I'm always in, but my sister and I get it.
Yeah, we do.
Because they're going to be few and far between as we age.
I know.
I feel it.
I know.
I feel it, too.
I'm 53, and I feel it all the time.
And you have a little one.
So that keeps you on your toes.
I got the five-year-old.
I got up early in the gym this morning.
And I was like, okay, I got to get back to the boys.
You got up and went to the gym.
I had to work.
Yeah, I had to.
It's a new thing I'm trying to do because I figured, you know, I was fortunate
enough to have these kids later in life, but I don't want to use as an excuse.
I want to be the guy that's actually there for them later in their lives, you know.
And so I've got to make that commitment now, which I will be honest.
I wasn't making it for many years.
I was just sort of like,
I played football in college.
I'm in kind of good shape.
I'm just going to let it go.
I got on the floor and stretched this morning
so I don't hurt myself today.
That's not really working.
No, that's prepping.
That's prep work.
Now, do you golf much?
Do you play much?
Well, this year, not so much.
I've been playing the better part of 10 years.
Okay.
And, you know, you love it.
You get one good shot.
It's an addictive sport.
And I can't break 100.
I've gotten close.
For several times, 106.
And then this year, I've only gone twice.
Only nine holes twice.
I was embarrassed.
I forgot everything.
Well, it is a game that if you're not, if you're not working on it, you're going to go downhill.
I used to play at least once a week, sometimes twice a week, and I was getting better.
And then I got busy.
Well, today's your day.
It is.
Could you imagine if you come away with the trophy, I'm sure that they have an amazing trophy.
I will be happy to get one par.
Yeah.
You know what?
You're managing expectations.
I'm like, I want a trophy.
First of all, I'm not going to win the trophy
because Ben will win that.
So that part's out.
So maybe second place.
Are we playing best ball or what are we doing?
I have a feeling this is...
I could drive the ball.
The structure of this entire contest, I believe, is up to us.
I haven't been given a lot of ground rules.
Wait, can I just share something?
And this is kind of embarrassing, but I think everybody will love this.
So for years, when I played, and I'm not a great putter,
but I get it like inches and they go, oh, that's a gimmie.
not even inches, maybe 12 inches.
That's a gimmie.
I go, oh, great.
And I'd pick it up.
I never counted it.
Oh, my God.
For nine years, I did not count that.
And somebody said something, and they go, you don't have that.
I go, yes, I do.
That was a gimmie.
She goes, what do you think a gimmie is?
You still got to count the stroke.
Yeah, so you look at the golf club, right?
And where the grip of the golf club starts on your putter.
Right.
Supposedly, they say if it's in the leather, you can take it.
Right.
So you don't have, and that's just to try and move along the pace of the game.
But I made the same mistake.
So I would go up there.
I'd be on in three, right?
And I'm probably going to two putt this thing.
And they go, go ahead, you know, we'll give you that one.
I'm like, great, three.
Thanks, I'm on their par.
Three.
I just said, Bernie.
And they're like, no, dude, you still got to count it.
Like, you know, we're giving you a one.
Never counted.
I cheated for nine years.
Well, I don't think it's intentional.
You and I might both be guilty of that.
Because I don't think that that was cheating.
I think that was someone didn't instruct us on the proper picket up skills.
That's it.
And then one more question about golf.
Yes.
So, I forget what it's called.
Like you have the worst.
shot, your first shot.
You go, no, no, no, I'm going to take this over.
A breakfast ball.
A breakfast ball.
So we do get a breakfast ball.
We do.
I can't play without it.
How many do we get?
Well, like one per game?
Per game.
Yes.
Not per hole.
No, we go one per hole.
I could light this place on fire today.
I might really do something great.
But I think it's technically your first drive that we all get two off that first T
because it's the first drive of the day.
That's usually my best drive.
Yeah, I get worse.
That's the one time I don't need two drives.
All right.
What's your favorite club in your, what stick do you like the best?
I'm big on my wedges.
Okay.
So if I can get in and around the green, I feel like I can actually get it done.
Okay.
You know, but anywhere else, I'm a wild-curt.
You have a go-to?
Like, you're in trouble.
What's your go-to?
Like, mine's my seven-iron.
Yeah, seven-iron is the one, right?
I'm not even going to try to make it, just get out of the crap that I'm in, get back in the game.
I'd say mine's probably my eight-iron.
Okay.
Yeah, I go to my eight-iron a lot.
Yeah, I love my seven iron too, but I have the tendency to skull that thing once in a while
and I get all pissed off.
My eight iron, it's got a natural little wedge, like loft to it.
So I get all excited about that.
Now, for you right now, with the weddings and everything else you got going on, are you just flying
all over the place?
Are you constantly on the road?
A lot of them are drivable by me, although I've been invited to marry two men out in Lake Tahoe.
Oh, we were talking about this, because that's where we had the Sugarman's
sweet, and we both had to miss that one.
So that's going to be so great.
Are you doing it?
I can't tell me way in advance so I could book this.
And today, my life, if it's not on the calendar, it's not happening.
Right.
It's crazy.
No, well, you know what?
Good things happen to good people.
I firmly believe that.
And at 67, I thought I'd be like, easy street.
No way.
You're ramping it up.
You're ramping it up.
Well, you look great.
Thank you.
A little birdie told me today that you're juggling, you're juggling.
You know, some love interests.
I don't know.
Are we talking about that on the air today?
Can we say love?
You jubling some lust interests.
No, I wish.
Some like interests.
I don't know.
I date somebody.
We go to dinner once in a while.
He's got some his things.
I don't know.
Yeah.
So you have a, he's not fully approved.
He's not relationship material.
I see.
He's hangout material.
That's fine.
And that's cool too.
That's fine, but I'm open.
Yeah.
There you go.
Okay.
Just making sure.
I don't want any of.
our listeners to think you're off the market. No, I'm not off the market. Okay. All right. Well,
you heard it here first. My girl Susan's still on the market. But I don't want a lust
relationship, although they're fun. But I just want to be in love and share the rest of my life.
I know. Well, I think you got a lot of it ahead of you. The last chapter is the best chapter.
That's right. My friend, that little birdie who told me that might read like 50 books a year
sometimes. She, you know, she kind of knows you. So I think she might know what she's talking about.
She tries to tell me what to do every day, trust me.
I'm sure.
You guys are such a, you guys are like a power couple.
I love the two of you together.
I love her.
We can fight.
We can cry.
We could.
Yeah.
And then you always end up hugging it out and having fun.
And that's the biggest thing.
Just shut up.
Zip it.
And that's what I loved about last night.
We were all talking too.
We had the three amigos up there on the show.
That was so good.
Nizzi all held her own list.
I was surprised.
She's like, it's my time to shine.
And she's shut up.
you too. She has to learn, right? She has to, she ought to insert yourself if you're not going to
get a word in. She has no chance with us. It's historical. We have so much fun together that we do.
Well, I love the whole QVC 50 thing. I'm so excited for you. And of course, Golden Hour. Make sure
you check out that podcast after, of course, listening to the almost famous OG podcast, right?
Of course. Or you could listen to them in tandem. And we just had our kids on air.
Did you really? Oh, it was so fun watching Kathy's face when her son admitted to doing things in her
house when he was young, she was a ball. She's a prude. I'm going to have to dial that one up.
I haven't heard that one yet. You got to listen to that one. That's a good one. Well, good luck today
out of the course. I hope you crush it. And of course, I love you. And thank you for always being
so willing to come on the show. We appreciate it. I love you back and I'll see you out there.
You know you will. All right. So that is a wrap for our show here from San Francisco for Almost
Famous. The OGs. We miss you, Trista Sutter, nay, Wren. But you know what? We'll make sure we get
something good going on very soon. I love you guys. Thank you all for listening,
subscribing and liking and all that good stuff. And we'll see you next time.
