This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor.
And I'm Drew Phillips.
And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom.
If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you.
But if you have unmedicated ADHD...
Oh, my God, perfect.
And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble.
Yes, yes.
Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you.
Open your free IHeartRadio app.
Search Emergency Intercom and listen now.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack,
where a comedian finds himself at the center of a chilling true crime story.
Does anyone know what show they've come to see?
It's a story.
It's about the scariest night of my life.
This is Wisecrack.
Available now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Let's start with a quick puzzle.
The answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs.
The question is, what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land?
Jeopardy-truthers believe in...
I guess they would be conspiracy theorists.
That's right.
To give you the answers, and you still...
Blueid. The Puzzler. Listen on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime.
On the new podcast, America's Crime Lab, every case has a story to tell. And the DNA holds the truth.
He never thought he was going to get caught. And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like,
gotcha.
This technology is already solving so many cases.
Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is the Almost Famous Podcasts with IHeart Radio.
All right.
Well, good morning, Almost Famous OG listeners.
How are you doing today?
It's Trista and Bob here to recap the Dancing with the Star semifinal.
Oh, my gosh.
It was a good one.
It was a good one.
Everybody is so good.
I woke up this morning and on my Instagram, I follow Whitney Carson.
And her and Danny Amadola's dance popped up.
And I was just like, oh, my God.
And then I saw Julianne Huff's dance.
My mind just blew up.
That was amazing.
Freaking amazing.
Yeah.
So good.
And I'm so glad they did that.
And I don't know.
know, truly, if everyone was surprised or not.
Like, I was watching Jenna's face and she was acting like she was surprised, but maybe, like,
she had to, she changed her, she had those pants on, those fringe pants.
And then she had to have ballroom shoes on.
And so she changed to so I don't know if people just don't look, didn't look down her feet,
you know, and see it.
But, oh, my gosh.
Maybe they were more blown away with just how.
How badass she is.
She got out there.
It was like that whole thing went up another level.
It was like, what?
She's like, I'm going to show you how it's done.
Yeah, just, you know, I've been hearing about how good this cast is.
I need to remind everybody who the queen of the dance floor is.
Yeah, totally.
Although, I'll be honest, man, Whitney Carson is next level.
It's like, she is so, like, the two of them together.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Yeah, all the pros that are left are amazing.
But, like, you're right.
She and Jenna and Julianne together.
They're like to three of them.
Yeah, Riley, mindblown.
It's crazy.
So good.
Okay, so, you know, it's funny.
I was like, okay, one, two, three.
We've got all the three people that we thought were going to be in the final.
And then they dropped this freaking bombshell that no one went home last night.
I love it when they do that.
Spoiler alert.
Spoiler alert.
No one went home.
Yeah, right.
That's a little late, but.
A little late.
I don't understand what a spoiler alert is.
I probably should have done that before.
Host, spoiler alert.
I mean, literally we're doing a recap of the show.
Don't you think we're going to spoil it?
You know, and here's the thing.
Like, I actually really love that too because especially after last night,
I was kind of like, you know, it's a bummer that anyone has to go home tonight
because they all did a great job.
And it was like, you know, you're watching the show.
And unlike other weeks where you and I have been very clear on who we thought should be,
you know, getting sent home.
last night I was like I really you know I mean at this point can't we all get a
participation trophy and call it a day you know I give one person the mirror ball
and it looks like that's what they're doing I mean everybody everybody is basically
advancing the semifinals which is awesome and you know or this was a semifinals everyone's
advancing to the finals right yeah and and I think that's pretty cool man they all get to live
to dance another day so I think that's pretty nice I love it I love it I love
each and every one of them for all that they brought yesterday.
So,
but I do have to get into,
I don't know if you saw my stories last night.
I am an idiot.
Let me just,
let me just preface this before I even get started.
I'm an idiot, okay?
So last night,
I went to try to vote.
And it was like,
like maybe halfway through the show,
maybe a little bit more.
And it said voting is now closed.
And I had done that earlier in the season.
And I just thought,
well,
it too late because usually I'm watching it like right before we recap. Like I don't have time to do it
the night before because I'm driving Blake's Lee to dance and everything, you know, dinner and whatever.
So I'm usually watching it late. So that's why I don't remember to vote. And I figure that I'm
pretty biased. So let's let the people vote. But, you know, maybe my bias should be voting.
Anyway, so I get on to vote and it tells me voting is closed. And then I went on my stories and I
complained about it. And I'm like, okay, what's happening? Why is voting closed? And someone
wrote me and they're like, yeah, it's because the show isn't live where you are. And I was like,
well, yeah, that sucks for people in Mountain Time and maybe Central. I don't know
exactly, like, which time zone, like can actually vote besides East, Eastern time zone.
Yeah. And so, um, so I'm complaining about it. And then, and I literally took a video of
Carrie Ann saying, you know, if you want to keep your favorite people, then you need to vote.
And every, like, second, they're reminding people to vote. Like, get out there and vote.
I'm like, why are you even saying that? Like, every time you say that on the show, they should have,
like, a little thing at the bottom saying, unfortunately, voting is closed for your time zone or whatever, right?
Because it's so frustrating. So I look at my messages again. And someone wrote and they're like,
well, it's because they have to have all the votes in before the live show is over.
And I'm like, duh, I'm so stupid.
Like, truly, duh.
I mean, what?
I've been, I was on this show the first season.
And someone said, nothing has changed.
Actually, my cousin wrote, and she's like, so maybe that's why you went home first
because no one in, like, the Midwest or Colorado could vote.
No, I could vote when the show was on.
They were all trying to vote for you, but the show was over.
Yeah.
So it's all like East Coast and I guess it's just East Coast.
I don't know.
So you got to have fans in East Coast.
That's where you need to go campaign people is going to the East Coast.
If you want those Keystone States, man, you got to get out there and-
That's right.
Yes, Electoral College is in play during Dancing with the Stars.
In between your teens and training, you've got to be on the road, cultivating votes.
So I'm like, okay, I'm not, I shouldn't be complaining to dancing with the stars.
It's ABC, like Robert Mills, this needs to change, like something needs to change where I don't know how, but how do you get it so that the mountain time zone and everyone else can actually vote when they're watching the show.
Like is it they change the, they change it so the people that go home?
Like, I don't know, go home after the show is over, like the beginning of the next show or something, or they don't include the votes from that night?
I don't know.
I think they could do it like maybe what, I mean, it would have to be social media followers pretty much exclusively, but they could send it out to social media followers and say, you know, or even on the screen, like you said on the screen.
Like each, each time zone can say, you know, you must place your votes between seven and eight.
8 p.m.
Central or whatever.
And that way when the people are voting, they would know,
okay, I better get my votes in for, you know, Debbie and Billy.
Yeah.
And ultimately, if they don't know the number off the top of their head,
no, they're not going to get the vote in anyway, right?
Totally.
But they do, if they do the recap, like I've seen them do in seasons previous,
where they pop up the number for each person during the recap.
At that point, you could write, yeah, you could write it down and be like,
okay, I'm going to make sure I vote right now for, you know, Debbie and Johnny.
So, I don't know.
Totally. Well, and also, like, maybe.
put it on the screen in the very beginning.
Everyone in the Mountain Time Zone,
get your votes in now because you won't be able to vote.
This is live right now,
but the people who are going to be watching it later,
I don't know.
They need to let us know because I really wanted to vote last night
because I was finally watching it in real time.
Yeah.
And your vote still doesn't count.
I'm telling you.
Nope.
Well, I have a feeling I know who you would have voted for
and that person made it to the finals,
just FYI.
He did. I did it again. And actually, I put on there, I put on the story. I'm like, I'm sorry, guys. I love everybody, all of the remaining contests. And I've loved everyone throughout the season. But I have to vote for Joey. I'm like he's part of my Bachelor Nation family. So my votes are going to Joey and Jenna. Yeah. Well, I will say this. I think they would have been okay without your votes last night, even though I, you know, I want, I know you wanted the vote. They crushed it again. I mean, I was, I was reading some of the recap.
today and I was you know and I had also watched it so I was and I don't usually get to watch it in
real time either so I was kind of like you know I was like oh yeah I you know like the recaps I read
today I thought were really interesting like one of them um you know talking about Chandler and
Brandon and um you know they got great scores right they they in each of their dances they got
a nine and two tens and and then the second dance they don't really touch on it in the in the in the
in the recap that's that was written but on the show karian and brandon kind of you know had a
moment there uh do you remember that when um in their second dance where she was like you know i've
told you before or whatever and he's like no you haven't and it's like what is going on you know
it's kind of interesting yeah but um you know i think it's got to be tough like when you're out there
because you know yeah i mean these guys are all so good and you can do lifts in certain circumstances
but not in others like there's i mean do you know what that rule is right there
I don't, but I know the pros do, or they should.
And at this point, they know that Carianne is a stickler for if your feet come off the ground.
So you have to like, like I guarantee you in rehearsal, the pros are saying you have to keep your feet on the ground or we're going to get a point taken off by Carian.
Yeah, but then they do in the same dance, they'll do a lift where their feet are out the ground.
Well, no, no, no.
Not in the same dance. I guarantee you it's not in the same dance.
The lifts are if they can take their feet off.
the ground, then they can do lifts.
Like, those will be the same dances.
Oh, okay. So maybe it's just a fox trot.
You can't take your feet off the ground or something.
No, I guess. I don't know offhand what, um, which ones you can and which ones you can't.
Like, obviously the one that Danny and Whitney did where he was throwing her all around.
That was wicked.
That was so good.
Oh my God.
So good. Like, part of me is like, I kind of would love to do that.
And then I'm like, nope.
Not for me.
I don't want someone throwing.
showing me all like spinning me around and I was I was um like reminiscing about my time um because
in the in that season like I'm really bad at turns like pirouettes and I get really
a dizzy yeah I never really learned to spot because I didn't train like technically like
ballet right um I remember thinking and saying it all the time to Louis I'm going to be so dizzy I'm
going to be so dizzy. Like, I can't, I can't turn. So if you're being thrown up in the air,
like spun around and stuff, holy crap. I don't know how they do it. Seems that I've always
been, I would be more of the base person in those circumstances or the lifter or spinner. I can tell
you, frankly, I've never had to deal with it, but I can only imagine if I would have to. But yeah.
Well, if you were partners with Alona, you would. Like, she loves to spin Alan. She's tossing him around.
So funny. So Joey got all.
10s last night in his first dance, the box trot.
He and Jenna got crushed it with a, with a three tens.
And I mean, I was, if I'm not mistaken last night, hold on.
Let me see if I'm, if I have this right in my head.
Um, yeah, I do.
He got taken off on the posso because of his frame and like the, yeah, there were a
couple little moments that you could see that they were a little wobbly, but, um,
but Derek called his first dance the best one, he didn't even say one.
Yeah, he said one up.
one of the best fox trots he's ever seen ever yeah that's saying something that's saying a lot
that's saying i'm telling you joey's blowing my mind right now i'm just like so yeah he's doing
amazing it's pretty awesome that he and jena are so in sync on this stuff and i mean man i don't know
after last night i used to think that i thought that chandler was the better dancer and that
joey was going to win because of popularity that's what that's what that was my mindset
Now I don't know who the better dancer is because I think he has really come he's come full circle and it's like now it's going to be down to the wire man.
I mean, I still think it's those two and, well, I think it's those two in Danny and Whitney in the in the finals.
So I mean, Whitney could do it too.
She's an incredibly popular pro.
Oh, for sure.
And I feel like with every show, Alona is gaining more and more popularity.
I feel like she's just being so vulnerable.
Like I don't know if you've seen her social media post, but she's.
basically just sharing that, you know, you can, you can be beautiful, whatever size you are,
if you like to lift weights, if you like to throw guys around and throw them up in the air
and do it. I thought her, her Bacoretta audition was pretty good with Joey. That was pretty funny.
Oh my gosh, so cute. I loved it. So I feel like she's gaining in popularity and rightly so.
Like, I feel like she's so empowering for women. I love seeing that. I love seeing her thrive.
And every time, like last night when she got two, I think she got two tens in one of the
Yeah, in the Viennese wall, she got two tens and a nine.
Yes, she was jumping up and down.
Oh, I just love it.
I love seeing the enthusiasm and the happiness, you know, the pure joy that's coming.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.

Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him
because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?

My name is Ed. Everyone say, hello, Ed.
Hello, Ed.
I'm from a very rural background myself.
My dad is a farmer, and my mom is a cousin.
So, like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke,
but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up,
but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
The 22nd of July 2015,
a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a crime.
Comedy Club. A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.

The U.S. Open is here.

I'm breaking down the players from rising stars
to legends chasing history.
The predictions will we see a first time winner
and the pressure.
Billy Jean King says pressure is a privilege, you know.
Plus, the stories and events off the court
and, of course, the honey deuses,
the signature cocktail of the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very fancy,
wonderfully experiential sporting event.
I mean, listen, the whole aim is to be accessible and inclusive
for all tennis fans, whether you play tennis or not.
Tennis is full of compelling stories of late.
Have you heard about Icon Venus Williams' recent wildcard bids?

How about Naomi Osaka getting back to form?

I don't write songs. God write songs. I take dictation.
I didn't even know you've been a pastor for over 10 years.
I think culture is any space that you live in that develops you.
On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us podcast, I sat down with Warren Campbell,
Grammy-winning producer, pastor, and music executive to talk about the beats, the business,
and the legacy behind some of the biggest names and gospel.
R&B and hip-hop.
This is like watching Michael Jackson talk about thoroughly before it happened.
Was there a particular moment where you realize just how instrumental music culture was
to shaping all of our global ecosystem?
I was eight years old, and the Motown 25 special came on.
And all the great Motown artists, Marvin, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Ross.
From Mary Mary to Jennifer Hudson, we get into the soul of the music and the purpose that drives it.
Listen to Culture Raises us on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You know, how I was surprised was with Danny and Whitney's dances.
They're the only couple.
Well, hold on, maybe Stephen as well.
Yeah, they're the only couple.
Danny and Whitney are the only couple that got no tens last night.
Everyone else got at least one ten.
No, Stephen got a ten.
Yeah, no, I'm saying everyone else got at least one ten.
Oh, thank you.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, Danny and Whitney and both of their dances got.
all nines. And I thought that was so not fair because I loved their dance. I mean, I was just
blown away by the, um, by the salsa. That's the one. Yeah, the salsa. I was like, this is some of the
best choreography ever. She's being tossed around like crazy and she's like, and they were just
in it, man. I just, I don't know. Yeah. I don't know if Danny was fairly judged last night as
all I'm trying to say. Because I think, I think he, um, he's a stud, man. He, that dude for a football player. I mean,
most of football players out there are still looking like football players
when they're on the dance floor.
He's not.
He looks like he knows what the hell he's doing.
Like he's been doing this his whole life.
I mean,
it's insane.
Yeah,
I think I just saw an interview that he did with Becca.
And it's called Scrubbinan.
And they were talking about,
they asked Whitney,
do you feel like the athletes usually do well on the show?
Do you feel like it's a good thing to have an athlete as a partner?
and she was like, oh, for sure, like, they're ready come game time.
They put the effort in, like, they have, like, that drive to, to compete and to, you know, get it done.
So I feel, you know, when I was on the show, I felt like what I didn't, what I lacked a lot of is acting.
Like, I feel like also having that, like, physicality, physicality obviously is one big thing.
musicality is one big thing.
The ability to like act and especially when you're like with a partner who you're not
in love with, you know, but you're trying to make it seem like you're in love with this
person on the floor on the dance floor that you have this intense connection, you know?
I have a thought on that for you.
I think, and this is because you and I went through it together at that time and you
especially, you know, I feel like you were, you felt.
such scrutiny at that time, that even if you, even if you could have acted like you were into
him, you know, and we both know, Louie's a great guy and all that stuff. But even if you, you,
you probably wouldn't have allowed yourself to do it then because you wanted everyone to know that,
hey, man, Ryan and I are for real. This is just my dance, you know, I got and I, and I, that's just
me. I'm not in your head. Obviously, I don't know that, but I think I would have felt the same way
because at that time, we both felt that scrutiny from people.
And it was like, you know, because I didn't end up with my girl on a long-term thing at the end of the show.
It was like, everyone thought, oh, he's just not serious about relationships, you know, whatever.
And it's like, you know, you felt so judged at that time.
And now these people go on the show and they don't feel that at all, right?
But we felt it then.
We were carrying some load, especially you being the first woman.
And I think that might have been part of that for you.
Like, I think if you were to do it today, you could totally act like you were super into Louis, you know?
and all that kind of stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right, right.
But back then, you were carrying the load for a whole franchise.
Yeah.
Right.
Well, thank you.
I don't think so.
But I feel like the show's been around for so long now, and I had nothing to base anything off of.
So you just, you see people doing it every day and it's become part of like our culture, you know, in a way.
So, yeah, I feel like if I did it now, the stigma, you know, of being.
Being with, like, someone else that I'm not married to wouldn't be there as much.
It would still be hard, but it wouldn't be there as much.
But no, like, I have always respected actors and actresses because I did a couple
cameos after the show, like, on ABC sitcoms.
And it was so freaking hard.
I just couldn't act like somebody else.
I don't know.
I'm more than happy to have a, not more than happy, but I can stomach being myself in
front of a camera, but being somebody else in front of a camera, I can't do it with it. No, it's tough. It's
tough. My ex-wife was an actress and I remember watching her in these scenes and I'd be like,
how did she do it? Like, I could do it comedically. You know, like, I had no problem acting like,
you know, oh, my name's Billy and I'm going to come in and I'm, you know, I'm a garbage man
and I'm doing this, you got it. And I, and that part was easy. But if I had to embody a serious
emotion, I found it very challenging. I mean, you know, I, and I would give it. And I would
giggle. Like, I was in, I don't know, I was in a terrible movie called The Scorned.
Okay. I don't think I knew this.
That's true. I was, I'll never forget it. I was hosting Battle of the Network Reality
Stars with, I'm Bravo. And Andy, you know, Andy was, it was executive producer, of course,
and I get offered all this money to do this movie. And I'm like, oh, my God, this is insane.
So I'm talking about it, you know, while I'm there.
there. And it comes back and Andy's like, don't do it. I read the script. It's horrible. And I was like,
and I was like, you know, I mean, Andy Cohen is, it was still Andy Cohen back then. Like,
he was very, you know, opinionated tells you how it is. But he wasn't the Andy Cohen he is today.
Like back then, I thought he was just a behind the scenes guy. I didn't know he was so savvy
in front of the camera too. And he's like, uh, he's like, don't do it, man. I read that script.
So I was like, well, yeah, but I can maybe make it good. Like, I've always wanted to try something
serious, you know? He's like, then try something serious, but don't make it this. Well, I didn't
take his advice and I did it. And to this day, I'm always like, oh, yeah, like my wife in
standard canyon fashion bought as many copies as she could find on, you know, every used, I don't know if it's
VHS tape or DVD. I don't even know. But it's like, and she literally gives them away as white elephant
gifts. Like, like, that's genius. She's like, trust me, trust me, this is one that you'll
probably want to pass along or, you know, if you want to keep it, you know, just kind of
be cautious with the opening scene. And truth, truth be told, I was so detached while doing
this because I was like, I just couldn't be serious. And I'm not going to ruin it for anyone
out there who's a, who might stumble across this film. But I, I would, like, in the
middle of the most serious scenes, I would just start laughing. And I'd like, I'm so sorry.
Like, I ruined it for, I ruined everyone's experience, I'm sure. Because I couldn't
keep it together.
Right.
So when I watched, it reminds me of when I just watched the Special Forces trailer,
I think I might have told you this the other night, but I started dying laughing when
I saw myself and like I'm bawling my eyes out, like the worst, the worst moment in my entire
life where I feel like so defeated and so mentally and physically and emotionally exhausted.
and I was laughing at myself.
Like, I get it.
So, why do we laugh?
I don't know.
You know, I liken it to, like, you know, Modern Family and Claire and, oh, my God, Bill and Claire,
and whenever Claire, like, someone would be really sick or dying, and Claire would just start laughing.
And they're all like, what is wrong with you?
And she's like, I don't know.
It's kind of, I think in those circumstances, like, I'm so used to just making fun of myself and making everybody laugh.
And, you know, and then when I'm in a situation, you know, and then when I'm in a
serious moment like that, where I'm not using my own words and I'm not supposed to be me,
I don't know what to do. And so I just start laughing because I'm so uncomfortable. I don't know.
I don't know what it is. But yeah, I mean, imagine me on dancing with the stars, right? I got to
be active all serious. I'll start laughing. Then the only dance I can really perfect is the running
man or the living room dance. Those would be the only two I got, you know? There you go. That's
okay. You don't need to do anything else. I would have been. Because of your claim to fame.
I would have been kicked off the show before Eric Roberts and the dude from Bull House or whatever.
No, stop it.
Stop it.
Okay, so finale is coming up next week, and it's three hours long.
Man.
If you heard that part, it's three hours long, so we're going to have to really buckle down and do our homework.
Well, they'll bring everyone back, right?
They'll bring the whole cast will come back.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Jen and Jen has said that her and Sasha are dancing in it.
So I think that they'll probably have every celebrity who was part of it this year doing something.
Like it probably isn't going to be that long, but I'm sure they'll do something.
Yeah.
So it'll be good to see the entire cast of this season back on the dance floor.
Tori will be back.
Tori spelling will be back on, which we love.
Yep.
That'll be great.
Everybody will be there.
I wonder if Anna will actually come since she got nothing out of it.
Yeah.
Who knows?
Who knows?
maybe she'll surprise us all.
I can't even believe I'm going to say this,
because I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment.
But maybe she will come back and show some contrition
and say, you know, maybe they'll give her an opportunity to say,
I didn't mean what I said with those remarks.
I was, you know, I was feeling hurt or whatever.
Yeah, true.
I mean, that would take her next level.
And then Brooks and Gleb, like they full on had a relationship and broke up.
So how's that going to be on the dance floor?
And I'm sure they're going to talk about it.
Matching tattoos.
They did not.
Yes.
I just read a thing.
That is why you never get a matching tattoo.
Everyone has proved that.
That's it.
Second you do it.
Second you do it,
it's Splitsville.
Yeah.
Matching tattoos and reality shows.
Don't do either of those.
Generally the kiss of death for relationships.
Unless you meet on the reality show and,
you know,
there you go.
Then there's that.
Yeah.
No, yeah.
But I mean like afterwards,
like Jessica and Nick Simpson.
Oh, yeah.
Jessica Simpson and Nick.
Everyone. I mean, look at all the real housewives now.
They're all going through it.
I mean, it's crazy.
Right.
Totally.
I feel like it's the kiss of death.
I hope not because I feel like Denise Richards, now a friend of mine from Special Forces, is filming her show.
Yeah.
Well, hopefully, though, she's had enough experience maybe doing it that hopefully she'll know how to separate the two.
Because I think that's where the problem comes into play, right?
You start manufacturing drama for.
the cameras and that's supposed to be comfortable with it yeah yeah um i do have a funny story
so i'm at press day and yet yesterday i got back and um and we're at the fox fox studios
and uh there's this show like i walk into the green room and james vanderbeak is in there and
i i didn't think anything like i was like wait i wonder if he's doing something with our show
but they had a whole other show there that they um him tay digs um anthony Anderson who
I know you know um and and I used to be on a basketball team together Bruno walks into the green
room and I'm like Bruno hi I and you could tell he had no freaking clue who I was and I was like
it's Trista I was the very first one ever kicked off of dancing with the stars and he's like oh hi
Give me a big hug.
Oh, my gosh.
He is hysterical.
Like, he is such a character, and he's true to that character all the time.
I love that.
What you see on television is exactly who he is.
He's like, Trista, you are so spicy today.
You look fantastic.
Yeah.
It's so great to see you again, Trista.
Yes.
No, it was so much fun to see him.
So that was a fun little dancing with this.
Star's moment. Did you tell Golden, Golden Tate, I said hi. Did he remember me? I did. I did. I said
that, you know, we do a podcast together and we're friends. And he was like, oh, yeah, you know,
we talked about golf. He actually, we talked about pickleball. I think I told you this during Special
Forces, because he's like, he's like playing in like, I don't know if it's pro circuits, but
like with like tournaments and he's, he's amazing at every sporting.
plays. He's amazing. Oh my God. We were golfing. The few times we golfed together every single
time I was like, he would almost get a hole in one every single round. Oh my gosh. I mean,
I was like, this guy's unbelievable, you know. He's so good, such a good athlete. But he has a new
pickleball paddle and I'm like, oh, can I have one? Please give me a pickleball paddle. I'll promote it.
The golden pickle? To my like minimal following. But oh, whatever. You have a very wonderful. No. So, yeah.
Yeah, I, um, it was, it was such a fun day.
But that was a fun little dancing with the stars like, yeah, um, what do you call it when
things mesh to?
Sure, a little flat, a little, uh, when the two worlds collide.
There you go.
Yeah, thank you.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Oh, wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the okay story time podcast.
So we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend,
really cheated with his professor or not?

What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality
nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.

careers. I'm Gretchen Whitmer, Jody Sweeten. Monica Patton. Elaine Welteroff. I'm Jessica
Kavas. And that's when I was like, I gotta go. I don't know how, but that kicked off the pivot of
how to make the transition. Learn how to get comfortable pivoting because your life is going to be
full of them. Every episode gets real about the why behind these changes and gives you the
inspiration and maybe the push to make your next pivot. Listen to these women and more on

The U.S. Open is here. And on my podcast,
Good game with Sarah Spain.
I'm breaking down the players from rising stars to legends chasing history.
The predictions will we see a first time winner and the pressure?
Billy Jean King says pressure is a privilege, you know.
Plus, the stories and events off the court and, of course, the honey deuses, the signature cocktail of the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open has gotten to be a very fancy, wonderfully experiential sporting event.
I mean, listen, their whole aim is to be accessible and inclusive for all times.
tennis fans, whether you play tennis or not.
Tennis is full of compelling stories of late.
Have you heard about Icon Venus Williams' recent wildcard bids?
Or the young Canadian, Victoria Mboko, making a name for herself.
How about Naomi Osaka getting back to form?

I would love for you to share your breakdown on pivoting.
We feel sometimes like we're leaving a part of us behind when we enter a new space, but we're just building.
On a recent episode of Culture Raises Us, I was joined by Volisha Butterfield, Media Founder, Political Strategist, and Tech Powerhouse for a powerful conversation on storytelling, impact, and the intersections of culture and leadership.
I am a free black woman who worked really.
really hard to be able to say that.
I'd love for you to break down.
Why was so important for you to do C?
You can't win as something you didn't create.
From the Obama White House to Google to the Grammys,
Belichia's journey is a masterclass in shifting culture and using your voice to spark change.
A very fake, capital-driven environment and society will have a lot of people tell half-truths.
I'm telling you, I'm on the energy committee.

Is it prediction time?
Prediction time.
Let's do this.
So first, second, third, fourth, you go first.
So basically, whoever I don't names go is not, I mean, because there's five people that advance
to the final.
We can do fifth too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right, here's my order.
I'm going to go from fifth to first.
Yep.
Hold on.
Okay.
In fifth place, Stephen and Riley.
Okay.
Okay.
I agree.
I'm going to write this down.
I'm going to write this down.
My predictions.
And then I'm going to write down yours as well.
Okay.
So fifth, Stephen and Riley.
All right.
Yeah.
Fourth place.
See, now it's getting dicey because now I mean, I know.
I know my personal thought on this one, but I just read a statement that Carrie Ann said to
Alana where she said that she feels honored to have watched this dance and that Alana has changed
her life. And so part of me feels like I think a lot of people are going to feel that way about
Alana. But I'm still saying fourth place is Alana and Alan. Ilona. Alona. I'm sorry. Thank you.
I've been saying that long all season. And actually, so I'm going to chime in on fourth. We'll just do it
side by side. Okay. As we go. We'll go fifth first. I would have said that.
I think it's going to be a change-up.
I think that we're going to have a shock,
and I actually think that Danny will go home fourth.
So you think fifth will be Stephen and Riley, like me?
I do.
And then you think fourth will be Danny and Whitney?
I just, I feel like there's always some kind of shock.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
And the shock to me, if I had to guess, which I'm guessing,
I'm going to guess that it's a switch up between who I would have thought would be fourth.
And I thought all along, all season, I said, I think it's going to be Danny Chandler and Joey at the end, top three.
But I think because there's always a shock, I'm going to change it up.
I'm going to say that Danny is going to go home fourth.
Okay.
So then who goes home for my third place finish?
is Danny and Whitney.
Yep.
So who is your third place?
And then mine is Alona.
Okay.
Alona for you.
All right.
Now we're in the top two, everyone.
This is when the poop gets real.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Okay.
Now I will say this.
Again, my original prediction was it's going to come down to Joey and Chandler,
but Chandler's going to win because she's a, no, I'm sorry, Joey's going to win because
he's more popular.
And Chandler will come in second place because no one really, well, at least I didn't know her
before this show, right?
Yeah.
Man, I'm still, this is still a tough one for me.
But I think.
Yeah.
Chandler's second, Joey wins.
That's what I want to have happen, but that's also what I think will happen.
Chandler second.
That's what you think, too?
Same.
Same, same.
Yep.
All right.
So Chandler's second.
What I want to have happen and what I think will happen.
Yeah.
I do too.
Even though, like, Chandler has had perfect scores, like across the board for a couple
different shows. I just, I don't know. I feel like Bachelor Nation is going to come out. And
like Jenna has a massive following too. And I feel like, um, even though Brandon has really, I feel
like grown on people, like Derek even said, like you have come so far. I remember you being
13 on the show or whatever. And, um, so I, I, I, and I, and I do.
think Chandler is an incredible dancer. It's very hard to tell that she's not a pro when she's
dancing. Yeah. If you just turn on the show and you turn it on while Chandler and Brandon are
dancing. You're like, how do I know this Brandon guy? What show is he on? Yeah. I don't remember
seeing this dude. You know, I mean, honestly, I go through it every week. Every week I feel that way too.
Yeah, I think I really believe that Joey has come into his own as a dancer.
in such a great way.
And Jenna, it's obviously attributable to Jenna as well by learning, you know, what his strengths
can be and all that stuff as a choreographer.
I don't know what I'm talking about right now.
I'm just assuming.
But I feel like, I do feel like Bachelination is going to come through because we always do.
We always come through on this stuff, guys.
We can't let Joey down.
We don't always.
I'm going to disagree with you there because there has never been a male to win.
That's true.
Or in the finale.
I don't think they've even been in the.
That's true, but...
Is that right?
Is that right that they haven't even been in the finale?
I think you're correct on that.
Didn't he say that last night?
I just think that no dude from the Bachelor has ever danced like this dude.
Like, Joey is like...
Well, yeah, that too, but no one's ever won.
So I think it's time.
It's time for a male, a Bachelor lead to win.
And I'm so excited to watch.
next week. He's going to set the bar so high for the next bachelor people to come on the show
because the women, you know, I mean, think about it. Melissa Rycroft, she was, you know,
Dallas Cowbell by cheerleader. It's like, you know, everyone that's come on there, you know,
Caitlin grew up dancing. Caitlin grew up dancing. You grew up dancing. It's like everyone has
come on there from our, from our little Bachelor Nation family has always, the women at least,
have always had some experience doing some type of dancing, choreography, things of that nature.
the guys you know no no experience at all you know in fact i think you know probably it was to our
detriment that we were putting a situation to dance in any circumstance or setting but joey man i'm
telling you this guy is he's kind of reinventing the wheel here for bachelor nation guys so i'm
pretty excited to see what happens for him yeah love it awesome so that's our pick guys we're
both picking joey to win this thing we are we're at least crossing our fingers yes
Yes, ma'am. Well, thank you, Trista. Always great catching up with you. Always great. Thanks everybody for listening. And we'll be back next week to recap the finale of Dancing with the Stars.
Yes. Bye, everybody.

What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack,

It's about the scariest night of my life.

Let's start with a quick puzzle.
The answer is Ken Jennings' appearance on The Puzzler with A.J. Jacobs.
The question is, what is the most entertaining listening experience in podcast land?
Jeopardy-truthers believe in...
I guess they would be Kenspiracy theorists.
That's right.
They give you the answers and you still blew it.
