Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh, my God, perfect.

Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp designed to be hell on earth?
Starting point is 00:01:17 Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced. He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you. Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. On the new podcast, America's Crime Lab, every case has a story to tell.
Starting point is 00:01:48 And the DNA holds the truth. He never thought he was going to get caught. And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. This technology is already solving so many. cases. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Everyone thinks they'd never join a cult. But it happens all the time to people just like you. And people just like us. I'm Lola Blanc and I'm Megan Elizabeth. We're the

Each week we talk to fellow survivors, former believers, and experts to understand why people get pulled in and how they get out. New episodes every Wednesday on Exactly Right. Listen wherever you get your podcasts. It's I do Part 2. I am Bob Gennie, one of your celebrity mentors in the podcast. You know me from the Today Show and the podcast I co-host with the lovely Trista Sutter,
Starting point is 00:02:58 almost famous of the OGs. And today I am very excited to be with my dear friend Kelly Ben-Simon. I love her so much. And there has been a lot going on with you, Kelly, since the last I saw you. So let's get into this. How are you? Hi, Bob. How are you?
Starting point is 00:03:12 First of all, I love your haircut. Thank you, you look so good. Thank you. Well done. Well done. Sunny and bright as always. Trying. You know me.
Starting point is 00:03:24 You're always in a good mood. I love that. We're like the two like always in a good mood people. It's like, people are like, would you guys, like, we're always, like, happy. The internal optimists. I love that. Okay. So the last time we talked, right, we were playing the dating game.
Starting point is 00:03:39 You chose Guy from the Golden Bachelorette as your finalist. And I heard some stuff went off the rails with that. Can you fill us in? Because then I look at the High Heart Radio Music Awards and you're there with Gary, who I love. He was one of your runner-ups. Love, love, love. So I know that, you know, that you guys went to dinner together that night. First of all, let's talk about Gary first because I do love that, man.
Starting point is 00:04:05 So how was your night with Gary? Oh, my God. First of all, Gary is such a stellar human, great, great guy. I know I always say that. I always say that with the good ones, not with the bad ones. He is just smart, kind, fun, easygoing. Like, he's like, oh, wow. He's like, you really know you're wearing a round of red carpet.
Starting point is 00:04:25 I was like, yeah, we're going to have so much fun. And he just was, like, fun, and he, like, took my lead, and, like, we had a great time. And, you know, I think that, you know, I was, at first I was like, oh, my God, we're going to go, you know, walk down the red carpet. Like, every, you know, guy that I've gone to date with who's ever walked down the carpet with me has been, like, very, like, and I want to always say awkward, but just, like, they always felt like they were on their back foot. And I was like, everything's fine. I'm just going to take some photos and shoot the shugs with some fun people and just talk casually and just like enjoy the process. And they all get very like, you know, like it's the New York Times. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no one's like doing a deep dive on you.
Starting point is 00:05:08 They're just trying to say hi. They just want you to smile, have a good time. And he was so cool. And he was just very sweet too. He was very, very sweet. He always said such really nice things. And yeah, we had a great time. We had a great time.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Yeah, I love that dude. And he's like a spiritually connected guy. You know, he's a fun guy. There's so many good things about him. But what I really was interested in, too, and I was happy to see that. And what I was really interested in was, I thought you were supposed to be there with Guy from the Golden Bachelorette. So what happened? I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:05:43 So, yeah, we had, first of all, how much fun was that? Oh, my God. It was such a fun day. I loved it. Oh, my God. That was so much fun. I loved doing that with you. And, you know, guy just like he answered the right, he was, he just knew the answers to the test.
Starting point is 00:05:58 You know, he was just so on point and he was, he was so great. And so I was like, oh, he'll be great for, you know, for the music awards. So then he starts asking for my phone number and starts texting me these novellas. And I was like, wait, I'm sorry, what? I'm like, and then he was like, I met, you know, X, Y, and Z person and this is her name. And these are her stats. I'm like, I'm like, did I miss something? I have no idea what you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And then he was like, did you really like me? And I was like, I'm sorry, what? How about like, how are you? Wait, so he's just like digging, just constantly digging. Like, hey, is this, are we the real deal? And you're like, I don't, I think I saw you said, I don't know. I just met you on a game show. I was like, I don't even know you.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Oh my gosh. And by the way, I didn't even see. his face because you guys saw my face, but I didn't get to see his. So I have no idea, like, I was just basing it off of a voice and, you know, banter. That's right. But I, you know, and Mike, you know what, you have to always go with your gut because my gut was to go with Gary. I love it. See there? I love it. Yes, I think that was a great choice. Mm-hmm. Those who were, they were my two contenders and I should have gone with Gary. And I went with Gary, so I had the best time. Yeah. Any, any place.
Starting point is 00:07:21 plans on you and Gary getting back together again. I mean, I'm hanging out. Like any, any new, you know, things on the horizon? You know, he's, he lives in, um, Palm Springs, which I love so much. But today on Instagram, like literally on my way here, he was, he was, he was, um, he was commenting on one of my pictures and always, he's always like saying like such nice things. Yeah. Like, you got this girl. You're amazing. I'm so happy for you. I'm like, oh, God. I know. He's an awesome dude. Just like such a nice way to, you know, see a message. from a friend. Heck yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:54 You don't comment on my on my Instagram. You know what? I need to comment more. I need to comment more. I definitely need to. Hold on. So now, then after you're doing the award show and all that good stuff, I understand it. All of a sudden, you got a DM from somebody else.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Yes. Is this true? Yes. And it was also someone from the Golden Bachelorette. Is this correct? Yes. But again, I had no idea. I mean, not to be sound like really awful,
Starting point is 00:08:24 but I have a lot of people DMing me and I try to be as nice as possible and I try to say like, thanks, appreciate you, just to be nice because like there's so many people out there on reality that just think they're like feeling gorgeous and I'm just trying to be nice to people and hey, if you took the effort,
Starting point is 00:08:38 I can try to take the effort, make the effort as well. He was like, I'm from Chicago. So I'm like, wait, what? I'm like, wait, are you for real? because people are, you know, everyone's always from my hometown. Always. I'm like, really? Wow. So, yeah, he's from my hotel.
Starting point is 00:09:00 And then he's like, I'm a hairdresser. I'm like, well, I'm like known for my hair. So imagine like an in-house hairdresser? How far would that be? Could you imagine? I mean, we're going to have to ask. I want to tell you, we actually have Pascal on the show today. And I think it's going to be very exciting for me to be a flying.
Starting point is 00:09:18 on the wall with the two of you, and you guys actually get to meet. Wait, let's get, like, really down to it. Let's, I want to read this to you so you can know, like, what was, what was really going on so you can get the Intel. Okay. All right. Okay, you're going to read it from Pascal? Awesome.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I was going to read it. Let me find it. All right, well, I'm looking for this, for this, because it was long and it was not short. And I'm not very proficient. I should have a glasses on right now. I'm trying to, like, be, like, cool, and I'm so not cool. Bob's like, you're not cool, Kelly. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Oh, here he is. Hello, Kelly. My name is Pascal. I was one of the Golden Bachelor of the Golden Bachelor at season. I had a chance to talk to Gary today and catch up in life in general. He shared with me the incredible experience he had with you and the one you had with Guy Gansett, who didn't come to a surprise to me. That said, I would love to hear from you.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I personally think that I'm more the type of man you're looking for. You're still looking for someone. I love this guy. Bob's like, story time with Kelly. Oh, my God. I'm not big on texting, and I promise you, I will not send you a picture of me, but I hope to hear from you either way. Here's my cell phone number. And I respond, I'm from Rockford.
Starting point is 00:10:48 that's all you're right I'm for Rockford peace side I never say like how are you never like just I'm more about me I'm from Rockford
Starting point is 00:11:01 I'm from Rockford and I'm known for my hair I can't wait to meet you that's so good all right well I need to know I'm going to have to ask if he asked
Starting point is 00:11:12 felt obligated to ask Gary's permission um that you know I mean, these guys are, like, obsessed with all date and the same woman, it seems, right? I mean, am I the only one? It's like college. It's like college. Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 00:11:27 All right. Well, let's bring him in because I've always wanted to meet him. And I've heard so many great things about him from his good friends, like Gary and a lot of the guys from the show. Not guy? No, I didn't hear anything about anybody. Anything from anyone. Guy only talked about guy. And says we self-examination.
Starting point is 00:11:48 these. I'm like, I've definitely met you before. Oh, that's nice. Well, let's bring in Pascal. I'm very excited. Pascal, hello. Bonjour. Hello, everybody. Pascal, I'm so happy to meet you. I've heard such great things about you from your friends on the Golden Bachelorette cast. They always speak very highly of you. And I'm very happy to meet you, sir.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Thank you. Same here. Thank you. Well, thank you. And now you're on the call and on the thread with with the beautiful Kelly Ben-Simon. How wonderful is this? Hello, Kelly. How are you? Hi, how are you? Tell me how to pronounce your last name, Pascal, because I think I mispronounced it.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Ibgi, Ibgi, Ibgi. I-B-G-U-I-I-B-G-U-I-G-E-G-E. And where are you from? I'm originally from Paris, France, but I was born in Casablanca, Morocco. Oh. We moved in France when I was one year old, so I was most likely raised in Paris. And she, I was about 22, 23 years old, and then I'm moving to the city. I heard that your husband was French, am I right? Yes, and he was also from Morocco, too. Yeah, exactly, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I don't know if it's Casablanca. That sounds so chic. This is amazing. Guys, this is incredible. The details that are lining up right here. I have already feeling a vibe. But I was like Casablanca. I feel the vibe too, so we all go to good vibes in here.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Good vibes. I think we need to go back to your homeland, Pascal, as a family trip. Family trip to Morocco. We'll bring our podcast live. Yes, I got a lot of ideas here. I got a lot of ideas. Live from the camel.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Five from the camel. All right, so Pascal, I need to know. I need to know. How did you hear about Kelly and Guy and Kelly and Gary? And then everything that had gone down. I mean, is it true that the men of the Golden Bachelorette actually have like a group chat, like a text thread? And how do I get in on this?
Starting point is 00:13:44 Okay. So when we all met. in the mansion and after the first night, I believe then Guy decided to get the number and email address of all of us. So we create, I think, a tread of 13 or 12 people, which is the 12 finalist of the 12 remaining during the Golden Bachelorette. And then so we've been texting back and forth, you know, happy holidays, what's going on with you? Are you going to be in the bachelor in paradise oh i'm doing this and i'm doing that and so i felt like that was kind of interesting to keep in contact with those guys i'm not very big on texting i'm more
Starting point is 00:14:29 the type of guy who like to call so i have a group of a four or five of them i really bondage on my my my experience and so those i usually give them a call how are you how you doing and da-da-da-da-da-da-da. So that's how we happen to get in touch with the show. I love that. And you are feeling Gary are actually pretty close, right? That's so thoughtful. Me and Gary, you're talking me and Gary or me and Guy?
Starting point is 00:14:57 Well, both. I think I understood you were relatively close with both of them, aren't you? Not really. I was more close with Mark. I was close more with CK. Oh, C-K, I love. Yeah, Greg. Greg, those have the.
Starting point is 00:15:12 I had the smaller room in the mansion. So I had a Greg, C.K., Dan, and I. And then after a two-rose ceremony, I ended up having the room for myself, which was good but bad. So everybody wanted to come up into the room and say, oh, you know, I said, no, no, this is bad luck for you guys. This is bad luck. That's one of those things. I mean, I love that. This is bad luck, okay?
Starting point is 00:15:39 You guys don't know what to come up here. Now, let me ask you this. Have you ever DMed, you know, a woman before that you didn't know? I mean, or was this kind of, because you're not a big texter, so I wouldn't guess you're a big DMer either. Was this the first time you've slid into someone's DMs? No, no, no, few times, few times. There is some, some, you know, after you're done with the show as you've been in there and so
Starting point is 00:16:04 is you, and how you call, you know, you get bombarded with email. You can bombard it with messages from all over the place and the young, the old, the spectrum of whatever. So what happened is something interesting happened when I contacted Kelly is because I know then during Valentine, you did a little game about picking up three of the Bachelor, which was Keith. That was Guy, Gary, and Keith, I believe. And you were asking him questions about how, which one you're going to tell. into that I radio music award event. And to be quite anish with you, I'm a little bit disappointed because I think I was one of the third finalists
Starting point is 00:16:52 and I think I, you know, I mean, obviously, John was a wonderful woman, but that wasn't what I'm looking for. And I never been invited to anything, you know. I've never been invited to the golf audience. I never been invited to sit with the star. I'm never invited. So I felt like maybe I did something wrong. And so anyway, so when I found out, then Kelly had talking to those guys and they were a pitch.
Starting point is 00:17:18 I believe that you pick up guy, am I right, to go with you in the award. And then it was an email thread between guys and those guys about, you know, the guy behavior was a little bit bizarre by texting you and whatever showing. That's what I read about do you like my pocket in my jacket or is my kid white. enough for, you know what I mean, is my most so good and it's, you know. Oh, my God. So guy called me and said, oh, you know what? This is so fantastic.
Starting point is 00:17:51 I'm invited to go with Kelly Ben Simon into the music award. I said, great congratulation. We should have very best. And then all over the sudden, I see you with Gary. And I said, it's bizarre. I thought he was going to go. And then that's Gary. So then all over the Sunday was a thread of messages.
Starting point is 00:18:10 between the seven of us a calling and send us the article about he went a little bit ballistic on you, about those long text messages and whatever. And you end up going with Gary, am I right? I did. I had so much fun. I love the narration of what happened. I know. I could honestly listen to that.
Starting point is 00:18:32 It's quick, am I right? I'm the kind of guy who's go direct to the point. I don't waste any. You know, like, it's funny, actually. because something very funny when I met Gary a guy at the mission and I love guy, okay?
Starting point is 00:18:46 Don't get me wrong, okay, it's a great guy. But guys goes with his story if I said what color is that wall, he's going to take about an hour to tell me what the color of the wall is. So I said, Gary, I said, do me a favor.
Starting point is 00:18:58 When you talk to me, tell me the beginning and the end. I'll figure out everything in between. Okay. Get to the point. I like it. Yeah. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Yeah. I like this, Pascal. So far, Kelly, I mean, there's got to feel like some familiarity, right, because of the French and the Moroccan descent. I know. I know. And Illinois. Oh, and Illinois. And Kelly's known for her beautiful hair. And Pascal, I understand that you're... It's a good match. Very good match. Well, you know, I could sense it in your voice, Pascal, that when you were telling the story of what happened with Guy and Gary and Keith, that you felt a little bit left out. And so I'm not leaving you out, buddy. I am bringing you in to the I-Heart family, especially into the I do Part 2 family.
Starting point is 00:19:44 I think what we're going to do is we're going to relive this moment the way it was supposed to be when we did this last time. Okay. And we're going to see how compatible the two of you are. So I'm going to ask you both some questions. And I don't want you to tell me the answers until I ask you. And I want you to write down your answers. And then we'll each give our answers and we'll see how well aligned we are. And then, in the event that there is some type of match to be made here, I will bestow upon the two of you, potentially, a prize.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And if this happens, this could be a really amazing prize, a wonderful prize. And so, well, you know, we'll cross that bridge and we get to it. Because I'm with Pascal. I want the beginning and the end. So I want to know the end before I get to the possible prize package here. So are you two ready to begin our newest round of the love to? connection? Yes, I'm ready. Yes. Okay. We're going to see if there's some chemistry here, guys. I'm very excited. Okay, first question. If the two of you were to go on a first date, what would that
Starting point is 00:20:49 date look like? I know that leaves some space, so take your time. I'll go. All right. Okay, so what we're going to do is, Kelly, why don't you tell us, if you were to go on a first date, what would that date look like? So, Pascal and I were going to go on a first date because, He's from Chicago, and I'm from Rockford. We would go to the Viagra Triangle, and we would go. There's a restaurant, a very, very well-known restaurant there, and there is the cover. My cover of Playboy is front and center. Nice.
Starting point is 00:21:21 And they have the best beer and the best burgers and the best salads, so he would, like, have, like, so much fun. And he could see, like, who he's with. Oh, I love that. Which has still on these? Gipsons Gipsons Gipsons Gipson's a restaurant
Starting point is 00:21:38 I love Gipsons Yes Gibson's a great restaurant So Bobba would be all about me You know what As it should be All right Pascal Let's hear your answer
Starting point is 00:21:48 What would you think Your first date would look like Okay so first of all If I was taking Kelly for dinner I would like to have an intimate dinner Where I wouldn't be distracted By anyone around So I will take her to something
Starting point is 00:22:01 A little bit more high hand like a R.L. restaurant where there is a little bit more intimacy, a little bit more quieter, where we could have an engaging conversation about where we are, what we're looking for, versus being distracted by the noise and the Viaga triangles. This is not for me. I like it. Okay. I like a little bit more romantic. I like to get to know. I like to be close to the person and have no distraction from anyone else and being with you present. Yes. I love that.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I love that too. I like it very much. All right. Very good answers, both of you, by the way. So basically, I lost that because he's more romantic. No, no loser. There's no losers here. I am friends.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Remember, you know? No losers. Just winners. Only winners with Bob. Only winners. No losers. Only smiley faces. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:00 The next question, or not really question, but the next thing. Write down three words that would describe your ideal partner. Just three. I think I'm going to allow Pascal to go first. Okay. My ID partner will be a woman who is very confident, who has a lot of confidence about herself. A woman who is very fashionable and a woman who is worldly and intelligent. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:27 I think the game's over already. You just described Kelly Ben-Simon to a T. Very well done, Pascal. Kelly, why don't you tell us your three words? Because I think, I honestly think he just described you, personally. Bob, you're the best. Okay, so my three words are smart, loving, and creative. I like all three of those things.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Obviously, I was going to say, obviously someone who is a stylist and does all the things that Pascal does very creative I love that Pascal you cannot cut my hair everyone wants to cut my hair everyone's always wanting to cut my hair you can't cut my hair no no I like I like you like I like you like I like you're in the hair business is that like people would be probably be thinking that I would be like this like you know golden locks all the time but like because you're in the hair business you probably be like oh it's fine just let your hair naturally and you're like Hair dry. I'd be like with this frizzy hair. I've learned one 10 over the years. The older women have dated and the woman are married to never, never touch their hair. Yeah, there you go. Huge arguments.
Starting point is 00:24:37 So I let them use one of my stylists or colorists and that's them. Love that. See, and you said you wanted someone who was very smart, very creative. There you go. You got both of a very smart man. All right. This next one is very simple. It's a simple yes or no answer.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Uh-oh. Do you kiss on the first date? No. Oh, Pascal. I like that. Not what I was expecting from a Frenchman. No. Kelly bin Simone.
Starting point is 00:25:09 What is your answer? Suspense is killing us. I can't. We're going to cut for commercial break. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute. Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
Starting point is 00:25:31 This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
Starting point is 00:25:51 He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? Starting point is 00:29:54 because you have to do the code switching. I won't say whitewash because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me. Yeah. But the whole pretending and code, you know, it takes a toll on you. Listen to the new season of Grasas Has Come Again as part of My Cultura Podcast Network on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Kelly Ben-Simon, do you kiss on the first date? No.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Oh, no. What? Are you a no also? I haven't done someone. Oh my gosh. Guys go in for the kiss on the first day. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Like, this is like a marathon, not a sprint.
Starting point is 00:30:34 There you go. I agree with you. It takes plenty time for kiss. Yes, I like this, guys. We're playing the long game. This is good. This is very good. I love this answer.
Starting point is 00:30:44 I can assure you that Guy would have gone in for the kiss on the first day. Guy would have gone for the kiss and he probably quiet after the kiss. It sounds like I got his DMs he went in for the kiss. And then wipe it off, wipe it off with his pocket scarf. Like, oh. Exactly. And then just flex his muscle after that. Sweet guy.
Starting point is 00:31:08 He's so nice. He's such a good guy. He's super nice. He is. He is. We're just making fun. We're just having a good time. All right.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Just a good time. Here we go. You guys ready for your next one? Yes. Yes. What are your three non-negotiables, right? Three things that you've. got to have in a partner and if they're not there you just cannot do it all right and we're
Starting point is 00:31:30 going to let kelly go first on this one kelly whenever you're ready uh let's see three non-negotiables i would say um one who's not good to their ex so if they're not good to your ex like that doesn't work for me um if you are not a good provider that doesn't work for me um um you are not a good provider And if you're competitive with me, that would not work at all. A lot of guys are very competitive with me for some weird reason. I'm like, don't compete with me. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:08 And when you say good to your ex, you know what's funny? So as a divorced man myself, I remember people thinking it was so weird that I got along so well with my ex-wife. And I said, well, we loved each other and still do. We just want to write for each other. And so I was like, you know, and thankfully my wife was always so cool with that. And she's like, you know, I think it's great, you know. So I think that should be the rule, not the exception. I agree with you on that one.
Starting point is 00:32:34 And then the second one you said was to be a good provider. What do you mean by that? I mean, you can't be like a deadbeat dad or like, you know, you have to be a provider. Like you have to be able to like, you know, provide for yourselves. The guy who takes care of the people around them and it takes care of themselves. You know, be able to like, you know, live your life. yeah sure and because i mean you you have always been you know you make your own money so it's never been something where you've been the only provider yeah i'm always the provider i'm like
Starting point is 00:33:04 you're a provider yeah and then uh your last one was uh what was the last one again oh not to be competitive with you oh not to be competitive yes that's because i can see that happening too especially with you when you're with someone else in the public eye and they feel almost like if you're noticed than they're not. Like, it's a, I mean, that is crazy to me. I agree with you a thousand percent. I love that. All right. I like those. Pascal, I'm excited to hear your answer. Go ahead when you're ready, sir. Okay. For me, we'll be the non-negotiable is smoking, drugs, and heavy alcohol. That's a no, no, no for me. Okay. Don't mind the alcohol when it's a moderation. Okay. When the other country, it's no, no for me.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Okay, I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. I love that. I'm living a very healthy lifestyle. I would like that person. I don't mind the drinking as long as they know their limitation, okay? Right. Second time, who is no negotiable young children, okay? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:08 I've raised my children. I'm proud to love my children, but I'm a free man now. I could travel anywhere I want, and I would like my partner to be in the same situation. and me, when there is a young children, I don't want to be father again. So to me, the children has to be gone out of the house, okay? Bye-bye. But you are my baby, okay? I'm talking about children.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Yeah. The third one is independent. I want a woman who is independent, a woman who has an own ideas, the own values, a woman who could raise her opinion and debate, issue, agree to disagree. I like the deep conversation, a woman who has her own, who make her own living. It doesn't have to be a lot of money, but it's a woman who's independent who have a, who wake up in the morning and get something to do. I don't need, I don't want a housewife.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I want an asset. I don't want a liability. I've had liability for my life, okay? Yeah. Sounds like you two might have been dating the same people. Acid versus naubility. He doesn't have to be a big assay. Pascal and I are very similar.
Starting point is 00:35:29 You guys are very similar. I'm loving this. Guys, this is, I'm not going to lie. Take me to the music award, you know? Pascal knew. He knew then when he was DM. That's why I contacted you actually, you know? And I don't do that that often.
Starting point is 00:35:44 No, it was sweet. It was so sweet. It was very sweet. All right. So far. guys, I've asked, let's see here. One, two, three, four, five, five questions. I think we're really doing well here. We're at least the five for five with my, if my numbers are correct. Who's winning? What's that? Oh, no, you guys are evenly tied. The score here is remarkable.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I've never seen anything like it. Okay, so we're going to give one more question, okay? And this question, I'm going to look over my questions really quickly here. Actually, you've asked us three question. Have I only asked three? Well, see, math is actually technically my strong suit, so I don't know what, so what's going on with me there. Okay. I'm going to ask one more. Actually, I'm going to ask two more. I'm going to ask two more. Okay. So it'll be fine. Okay. Yeah, so it'll be fine. Um, assuming Pascal's math is correct. So here we go. What is your favorite movie genre? This is just a real, you know, lighthearted. What is genre? Like, you know what type of movie? Like, do you like a romance or an action film or, uh,
Starting point is 00:36:48 you know, crime or, you know, drama, I don't know, like that type of thing. So like a type of movie, you know, is it romance, is it mystery, is it action, science fiction? You can use my topics if you'd like. Romantic comedies. All right, here we go. I'm going to start with Kelly on this one. Kelly, if you had to determine what particular types of movie you like best, what would they be? I mean, I love rom-coms, but I'm also, you know, I, like, have such a strong affection for Disney movies.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Nice. Like, throw on some aristocats and pizza and a really good glass of wine, and I'm your girl. There you go. Okay, I love that. Yep, very nice. It could be a lady in the tramp with spaghetti. There you go. I love it.
Starting point is 00:37:43 All right, Pascal, you're finding out that Kelly is playful, yet at the same time, you know, enjoys a little Disney magic, which I think is lovely. How about you, Pascal? If you had to name, like, you could even make it, like name your favorite movie if you wanted to, but what would be your favorite movie type? I have a very wide range of movie I like, okay? I like murder mystery.
Starting point is 00:38:05 I like epic movie. I think one of my favorite of all time is the Schindler's List. I think from the... When I watch a movie, it's not just the movies, the cinematography, is the acting, is the choreography. It's a lot of different to me who appealed to a movie.
Starting point is 00:38:24 I think the Schindlerleys has it all for me. It's got that passion, he's got that struggle, it's got that cinematographic, that acting, he's got everything. I like Disney. I mean, I think I spend a lot of time with my children watching Lady No, the Tram,
Starting point is 00:38:39 Rattatatooie, which was one of my favorite Disney. I love Rattatooie. Rattatooie was one of my favorite women. I mean, I like, Like I said, I like everything. I mean, there is not just, I can't pickpoint one type of movie. I like it all. I like it all.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Yeah. And as I understand, you're also a grandfather, so you're probably back in the Disney genre again, aren't you? You probably watching some Disney stuff again. Yeah, I mean, my grandchildren live in Calgary, Canada, so we don't see, we see a couple of times a year. So I don't have the chance to watch those Disney movies. but I have a whole collection from actually. I still have the VHS and the DVD from all those Disney movies, which I used to go to the Ice Disney on Ice.
Starting point is 00:39:26 I mean, I love that. Sure. Yeah. No, I love it. Guys. Ascal, that's so cute. There's differing math here, but I think we're still at 100% for each of you. So this is our last question right here, guys.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Okay. Question number five. Question number five. Question number five. That's your question number five. Yes. What kind of relationship are you wanting right now? So, you know, I liked one of the things I saw that Pascal had said, you know, that he felt like that he was the guy you should be looking for.
Starting point is 00:40:02 And I liked that. And I liked his confidence. I know I should stop talking now, but I see you both writing. So I want to give you a moment. So, Kelly, if you had to say what type of relationship you were looking for right now, what would it be? I'm looking for a forever relationship, not just dating around,
Starting point is 00:40:20 not just having fun, but an actual real forever. You know, I've learned so much about myself, Bob, on this show, like, from therapy and just talking to all of my new friends, including you, and, you know, even just listening to Pascal today,
Starting point is 00:40:36 like, I would never, I am a playful human, but to really, like, listen to what the other person is saying is something that I wasn't doing before. And I just am ready for that forever person. I love that answer. Because you do have to be ready for that person
Starting point is 00:40:53 to recognize that they're there, right? I mean, you have to be ready. Or you have to not be looking at all and then be blindsided by it. There's really no way between, right? You can't be going into it. I love that answer. That's a great answer.
Starting point is 00:41:05 All right, Pascal. But it's my meaning like I'm open to it. So if it like, you know, if it hit me in the face today, like, I'd be like, oh, okay, because I was, I'm ready for it. Yeah, you'd recognize it. You'd know it. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just. water gone. Now hold up, isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person,
Starting point is 00:41:49 this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his
Starting point is 00:42:05 professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. My name is Ed. Everyone say hello, Ed. I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin. So, like, it's not like... What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different. On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear. Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family. And then he came to my house. So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club? A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage. Available now. Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:46:10 podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, Pascal, you've got a chance to knock this thing out of the park. Okay, I'm knocking down. What I'm looking for in the stage of my life is my best friend. Somebody who has for me, somebody who understands my needs, somebody who I could content, somebody who I could trust, obviously somebody who has chemistry with, which I think is still very important in our age. somebody who has a sense of passion
Starting point is 00:46:41 somebody who I could take out and be proud of somebody who's confident and secure about herself I don't have to watch every two minute or her watching me what I'm doing because I've experienced in the past relationship I had the woman I go out with are very
Starting point is 00:46:57 insecure and then they spend more time watching what I'm doing than enjoying the event to me so I think security confidence, best friend, chemistry, longevity, I want a lifetime partner, and that's what I'm looking for.
Starting point is 00:47:19 Which, incidentally, for our listeners and viewers at home, if I'm not mistaken, Pascal, you recently turned down going on the Golden Bachelorette in Paradise or the Golden Bachelor in Paradise, and that's probably why, right? Because you're not looking for that kind of. You know, I turned down the Golden in Paradise. for couple reasons. Number one, I just don't think it's a good fit for who I am as a person.
Starting point is 00:47:44 I mean, I just don't think me being in the beach with bench of a senior citizen which I am, okay. I mean, I don't want to criticize anybody because that's my personality, but I think when I went into the bachelor, the bachelorette, I was very
Starting point is 00:48:04 specific about who I wanted to be the bachelorette. And do you know, I had the chance. I've never watched the show. I'm not into the Bachelor show. Now, it seemed like I am into it because it's kind of fun to watch. So when my daughter signed me
Starting point is 00:48:20 up and everybody said, oh, you got to do it. I said, look, time out. I got to see what it's all about. So I went and watched three episodes of the Golden Bachelor with Gary. And I had the chance to meet the first one, every woman. And I got the concept. I don't need my five minutes of fame. I don't need
Starting point is 00:48:38 the glories. I don't need to be in TV. I live a beautiful life. So I said, if it's not that person, I'm not going to do it. When I went there, I made John, I felt like I was going had a purpose, but I'm not the kind of guy who was going to go into the show and pretend and then play the game just to be in TVs. And it's not my personality. And then, unfortunately, you know, John wasn't what I was looking for, okay, for whatever reason is. And So when they offer me the Golden Bachelor in Paradise, and I look at all the women in the Golden Bachelor, which I have no interest on any of them, okay? Now, they were telling me, then they'll bring in 15 new women that would have been a different game that sometime I would have considered. But I just think that me going on the beach and drinking and party and kissing everybody, which as you told, Kelly, I'm not, I don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:49:34 I'm a kisser, okay? but I don't kiss on the first, second or third date. I need to know who it is before I'm getting involved more physically. So going into the Golden Bachelor in Paradise and have to pick up a girl and try to play. This is not my personality. I mean, if they were offering me the Golden Bachelor, that will be a different thing because that's more who I am as a person than being on the beach with a bench of guys who I could care less about. I love it.
Starting point is 00:50:08 You are not afraid to give you a real answer, which I appreciate. Wait, I have a question. Those people tipto around that stuff. Yes, Kelly, of course. Do you wear a speedo or would you wear box, like boxer like swim trunks? So like swim trunks or more of a speedo? Or a speedo. Like would you wear like trunks on the beach or would you wear a speedo?
Starting point is 00:50:27 I wouldn't wear a speedo, no, no speedo. Right. But he probably would wear a more like a year. I would guess you wear a European cut type of bathing suit. though, like not the big, long ones down past. I would wear the American shirt where he goes to the knees. You know, I will wear the nice one. You know, I'm a European, okay?
Starting point is 00:50:44 And, and, and, you know, I'm in the gym about six days a week. Oh, wow. So I believe then I have a very nice physique. I still have my six packs. They had eight at one time that they went down to six. So I'm not afraid to be on a bed in street. I'm not afraid to walk on the beach. But I just don't think this is my tent for me.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Pascal, I am 53 and I still don't have a six-pack, and I work hard. I love it. I'm going to borrow a couple of years. All right, guys. What you eat. It's what you eat, Bob. That's what they say. Yeah, they say that all the time.
Starting point is 00:51:18 It's 95% what you put here and 5% what you do here, right? Is your mom sending you like all these goodies from home, Bob? I'm sure she is. She's like, my little Bob. He looks skinny on the podcast. I'm going to send him some yummy food. I'm going to send them some bun cake. That's my life.
Starting point is 00:51:32 My life's always like, here's some more bunk cake. okay guys I have some very good note I'm waiting for our tabulations to come in and it looks as though it's a 10 10 it's a match it's a match everyone 10 out of 10 I was going to go to commercial break but we're running up against time so I got a hurry guys I feel like I'm a matchmaker you know like what I do is I try to weave the hearts and souls of America together when I find them and once in a while I've got to go international to make a at work. And this time, I call it. It's a global matchmaking service here and I do part two. So I think it's time to let you guys know what your prize is because I have deemed the two of you a wonderful match. Now, you're already getting along great. I think the next step is to get to
Starting point is 00:52:22 meet in person, which according to both of you will not involve a kiss. But it might if the right kind of vibe is going on. I mean, I'm never going to say never, right? So Pascal, you're mentioned earlier that you feel like you've been left out a little bit, you haven't gotten to go cool places. My friend, I am sending you somewhere very cool with your date, Kelly Ben-Simone. We are going to send you both to live in the vineyard in Napa, in Napa Valley, California. It's an amazing music festival. You get to meet each other. Actually, a couple of my friends are even playing in this music festival. Adam Doliac's one of them, Ray Lynn's the other. You're going to love them. Really wonderful artists. So pack your
Starting point is 00:53:04 bags, guys. It's April 22nd through the 24th in Napa Valley, California. I hope you got your passports because you aren't going to need them. You're going to be flying domestic. So that's okay. Pascal, do you like dancing? Do you like, I mean, because this is primarily more country music, which there's a lot of ballads, there's a lot, but there's a lot of great music that's going to play. Do you enjoy dancing? Actually, I do love country music. I do. Oh, that's awesome. I will say that's probably besides the soft rock, like you two, Coldplay. I like Cardbrook. I like, actually, I like the new Beyonce Corboy, Carter Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:53:43 I do love country music, yes. Well, that's amazing. Kelly, are you a country music fan? You're darn tooting. Boots scoot and booze. All right, let me read some of the names that are on here, guys. The headliners are Brett Young, Ray Lynn, Catherine McPhee, Max McNawn. Then, like I mentioned, we've got my buddy Adam Doliac, who's got some great songs out there.
Starting point is 00:54:07 We've got C.C., Roman Alexander, Harper Grace. Oh, my gosh, you've got some great ones. Carolyn Jones, Shane Stevens. I mean, the list goes on. I love Catherine McVee. She's so great. I do, too. She's so talented.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Plus, Napa Valley, I mean, you know, you get to try some wine together. You get to, you know, possibly do a wine tasting here or there. There's some wonderful vineyards out there for that. that as well. Don't worry, Pascal. I'll try all the wine, but within reason. Don't worry. Yes. She'll keep it dialed in. As long as I don't have to kill you out. Well, guys, this has been an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much for coming on. And I really feel like I'm going to get it right this time. You know, I've tried this a few times. And Kelly's got a, she's selective, you know. We've gone global this time. Yeah, we've gone global. You know,
Starting point is 00:54:55 we've combed the earth for this. And I do feel like, you know, it's really lovely. though, is there are some really wonderful threads of commonality between the two of you that I think are very organic. It's not like someone's just saying the right things, you know, because they know the right things they're supposed to say. You guys are really responding naturally to this, and I think it's really awesome because I'm feeling good about this one, Kelly. I really am.
Starting point is 00:55:20 And Pascal, I'm feeling very good. I know we're just new friends, but I'm feeling really good about this for you as well. So congratulations, guys. And Pascal, welcome to the travel town of Iheart. French? Do you speak French kidding? You have a lot of Fonse. Yes. You can't French? Yes.
Starting point is 00:55:36 Oh, but it's good. Look, we're very. We're very good. We're going to talk. Oh, but you don't. I was like, what do that mean? Open Translator app. I'm trying to figure out because I'm just loving everything you're saying,
Starting point is 00:55:54 but I have no idea what you said. But I loved it. Beautiful language. You know, it is so funny. Bob, is that Cheryl's always like, you have to ask these right questions.
