You think that Jonas Brothers are satisfied?
Nope, it's podcast time.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Hey, Jonas is available now, and their first guest is a big one.
Paul Rudd.
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Can you tell you not to audition at the office or something?
I told him.
Whoa.
We were filming Anchorman.
Clearly, I was the idiot.
Thank God he didn't listen to me, right?

This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHart Radio.
Welcome back to the Almost Famous Podcast.
I'm here today with Lauren, and we're here to break down another episode of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
It's episode 11.
We're so close to the end of this season, which is absolutely crazy.
It's gone by very fast.
So fast, Lauren, way too fast.
I know.
I was like, wait, the finale, I'm not ready for this.
America isn't ready for it to be over.
I don't think so.
I think this is keeping a lot of people.
A float emotionally.
Yeah, afloat emotionally.
Especially as the summer hits us.
We've got confrontations.
We've got half apologies, belly dancers.
Let's jump into it.
Lauren, another great episode.
Another fun episode.
so fun um what i failed to mention or even address last week or like connect the dots so we started off
this episode with jo ellen calling alicia and kind of giving her the rundown i guess of their their meetup
a liz and joelan's meetup and liz literally said like earlier in last week's episode about like menopause
and how how crazy it makes you should we have put those two and two together like maybe liz
we were like she's crazy she's evil it's like maybe she's in menopause
See, okay, great point.
But I left last week feeling like almost convinced.
I don't know by you or just by our conversation that Liz was in the right during this argument.
Liz was in the right with the whole homeless argument still.
Yeah, and that the stuff she said to Joellen was actually bounding.
Right, because Joellen did some crazy stuff and yeah.
I think it was maybe like, you know, it's funny.
The internet has diagnosed Liz.
Not only is she in menopause and maybe write out this entire situation in general,
but diagnosed her with, hold on, intermittent explosive disorder,
which is like, I guess just when you lose your shit randomly.
So we all have it.
Yeah, I'm like, that is not a diagnosis.
Everyone, you can lose your shit at any time at any age.
But yeah, I think there are, there's things that Liz was right about.
that she is not ready to disclose. Maybe that's a season two. But yeah, I just want to address
the menopause thing because I was watching this week. I was like, wait a minute. That is a reason
to blame your behavior. Oh, 100%. I know many who have gone through that. And that is up there.
My mom was really scary during it. Really scary Saturday mornings.
We do get what you talked about. They do get to catch up a little bit.
It feels like, at least to me, this is the setup for Joe Ellen to try to, in a lot of ways, become the victim, which she might be.
Again, I don't know exactly where I see this, but I do think there is, outside of everything else, I'm standing firm that Joellen was hurt when Liz pretty much said we aren't friends.
I really think no matter what Joellen's actions have been or will be, I think she thought she had a friend in Liz.
and this was a moment of discovery that did hurt Joellen.
And it does seem to me throughout this whole episode,
Lauren, that Liz doesn't really back down from this comment of we aren't friends.
I know.
And then even Kelsey later on when they're at the beach like clamming.
She's like, have you ever been wrong before?
She's like, no.
It's like, oh, okay.
That's crazy to admit, bold.
And I'm sure I'll be disproven later on.
Yeah.
And just not something that any here.
human should feel confident in saying publicly.
Actually feeling even.
I think we should all, anybody that listens to this, you and I included, need to at some point
today, sit down and be like, we've been wrong.
100%.
That is a mindset I need to sit in, that I'm not always correct.
Yes.
Yes.
Even Kelsey.
I'm not even a big fan of her.
Even Kelsey would admit that she was wrong about certain things.
Yeah, we're going to get into Kelsey.
Kelsey had a good episode, I thought.
Little like side things happening.
Ashley and the family is making tacos.
Rula shows up to Brian's office because Rula, my goodness, has an accident.
This poor woman has been through it during this season.
What happened to her toenail again?
She like hit it on something and she said it pulled back.
Which sounds awful.
I do that to Ashley's toenail when we were younger.
Like she was like, wait, wait, whoa, whoa.
I think I was like 10 and she was like 12 or 13 and she wouldn't let me in her room and she opened it like a crack and like kind of put her toe out.
And so I slammed it back in her face and her just ripped off.
And now I feel so bad, but I was so mad at her.
Like you know those again hormones.
I was just so pissed.
So you have that same thing that they're diagnosing Elizabeth.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes.
I was pissing with me in her room and then she was obviously her toe and I like gone.
But now it's fine.
It grew back.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, painful.
So bad.
Yeah, not really a lot there.
But other than the fact that I did watch it and I felt for Rula as she explained it and I thought about her sickness during this season.
I thought about the toenail.
I thought about her becoming slowly aware that her husband might be not as loyal as she was hoping for.
She's been through it this season.
Rula, I know that you agreed to be on this show.
and I'm happy you did because you've been such a steadfast storyline for us to follow,
but, ooh, not good for you.
And now.
And now she feels comfortable enough to invite all the ladies except for Joanne
over to her house for Arabian Nights, very fun theme.
Everybody's looking really good.
Oh, good.
How good did Ashley look?
I mean, Ashley's a beautiful human.
I've told her it over and over, but she, I do feel like Ashley's best.
She's Jasmine.
I know.
When she really wants to shock the world, you know, she walks out in that Jasmine Halloween costume or dresses up for like Arabian nights.
Her true form.
Yeah, I think she really shines.
I agree.
Everyone looked really good.
Can we talk about how Jared opens up a can?
Why is he doing it this way?
I guess they said that the can opener was broken.
It wasn't working.
It makes me very nervous.
They really needed those beans.
Yeah, and it made your dad very nervous.
It was very dangerous how he was going about doing this.
Yeah.
My dad is such a stickler about, like, cutting and knives, I guess, like, at the hospital every day he sees, like, maybe like 40 knife accidents.
So this is, like, his one bugaboo.
So seeing that was very alarming.
Well, I think it would be alarming for anybody.
Your dad has been exposed to it.
And here's my question.
Jared knows that he's being filmed cooking dinner for a family or supporting.
and the cooking for family.
And he knows that this can
is not going to be opened by the can opener
that is supposedly broken.
And he still decides to cut it with a knife
knowing that it's going to be shown
to millions of people throughout the United States of America.
Yeah.
I think he's like, this is so manly.
I got to show I can do it, guys.
Like, I'll get it done.
Guys, let me take off my sweater and show my arms
as I slice open a can.
Mm-hmm.
of beans or corn or something.
Yeah, I don't know.
That whole scene was kind of like
unnecessary but I guess it was to discuss
yet again the future and fate of Audrey's.
I love my dad's cameo.
I thought it was very funny when Ashley was like,
you're going to cry.
No, I'm absolutely fine
because she just assumes everyone's going to cry.
Yeah, there wasn't much to it.
We saw a beautiful Dawson again.
There isn't a lot to it.
I don't know why the Audrey's storyline continues
because it's not convincing me that it's closing.
Like nothing about this season,
and I'm unaware if it's staying open or not.
Still, to this day, I don't know.
I mean, I would assume it is based on the success it's having,
but I'm not convinced this storyline is compelling to anybody.
I don't think anybody's on the edge of their seats right now.
I don't either.
And it is my family, and I don't really care.
But I think what would be more interesting,
I guess if they made, like,
Not so much, like, if Audrey's clothes, closes, then will you stay in Rhode Island or not?
I think that may be slightly more interesting.
And then, like, what's going to happen with these friendships and blah, blah, blah,
rather than just like, okay, no more Audrey's, then what, you know?
We can just move on by, no one cares.
They watched it and they didn't care then.
So I'm going to make them sit there any longer about this.
I mean, there's a lot of, this was a good episode.
I want to be clear on that.
But there was a lot of filler moments, like when the,
the Rhode Island State House came into play,
and they wanted to talk about their menopause gummies.
It's an important conversation.
Don't get me wrong.
Very important to bring to light,
and I know that they're getting support,
and I did enjoy hearing that it was explained to the committee,
and the committee is full of men,
and they were shocked and surprised and educated,
not only for themselves, but for their spouses at home.
but my, I guess my only thing here,
outside of everything else,
this had to be a contractual obligation by the show
to say, we were going to have you on this show
and Liz came back and said,
that's great, but you're going to highlight my menopause gummies a lot.
All these ladies have stuff going on.
They have their businesses.
They have their careers.
And it's awesome.
Great.
But why are the menopause gummies
such a topic of conversation so often in this season,
and their free publicity has been incredible.
Really?
Yeah, so true.
We don't know, like, the name of the company.
I don't think they've shared that explicitly.
So it's going to be, it would make more sense,
like, contraction, oh, you have to say the name of my company
and the name of my gummies and stuff.
And if it was already out, then it would make sense.
I just think, like, some of the side plots are, like,
your eyes kind of, like, glaze over and you think of something else.
That happens a lot.
but when the girls are together is the meat of the episode.
So they just need like a little breadcrumbs to get you to the next fight, really.
Yeah, it is cool to see how they are leading the way in education on the Northeast for menopause and what people go through.
I'm sure people, other states will follow.
I think it actually is very interesting.
And this, hearing all those statistics and all the things she was talking about kind of made me think that.
her behavior has something to do with it.
That's what made it click for me.
She needs to take more gummies.
Yeah, actually terrible advertisement.
Yeah, I was going to say.
I was going to leave, bad idea.
Yeah, so we see that.
Dolores doesn't really say a lot there.
Looking like twins again.
Then we go to Alicia's house where Rosie is trying to make
Alicia feel better by decorating ducks, which I thought was a very cute scene.
Because Rosie is so good with her daughter and honestly so good with Alicia because
Alicia is 10 years old at heart.
Well, you make great points.
This scene is a great transition into what the rest of the episode has to come.
It also shows, I think for the first time, that Rosie is making friendships outside of Ashley.
I know.
It is nice.
This was a good moment.
and it is a fun moment to watch because ultimately at the end of the day, in the perfect world that none of us would ever watch on TV, these ladies would get along great, they'd have all these great moments together.
That's not what makes the good television for the real housewives.
But it shows that Rosie is sweet and cares, and it feels like Alicia is very appreciative for, you know, this investment of time.
Absolutely.
And for Rosie to invest into the ducking and explaining ducking.
Did you know what ducking was?
I didn't.
I know that they have a wave.
Like, I know there's a wave when you drive a Jeep.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Yeah, it's like a certain wave that they do to each other.
I think, so on the I Don't Get a podcast, RIP, NAS our good friend, Nas Perez, she has a wrangler and she loves ducking.
So that's how I learned about ducking.
but I was like,
I think every car brand needs to have their own version of ducking.
And I was like, I have an Accura,
it should be like an Accura bat or something.
Like you put a little bat or something.
Because why do they get to have all the fun?
Well, exactly.
I mean, I have an F-150 from 2016.
It is one of the most dry, like,
you see a thousand of them on the road.
Yeah.
Or obviously he's done fairly well for themselves.
It would be great if I felt like I had a community within my kids.
community.
We need to start it.
Start it.
Yeah.
I love communities that I actually don't have to talk to that often that I just get to,
like, leave gifts at.
Absolutely.
Feel connected to them in some way.
Yeah.
Do you have a gift that you would give your F-150 brothers?
You know what I'm thinking?
Because ultimately, I just believe that anybody drives a truck, one, it's very useful for
living in the mountains.
Two, you know, we're, it's like a very manly vehicle to drive.
Totally.
So that makes me feel a little cooler.
when I get into it.
Yeah.
I don't have the big tires.
It's not super lifted, so I don't have much to prove.
I'm not trying to send a secret message.
So true.
Yeah.
But I think like a little cowboy hat.
That's adorable.
Yeah, that all of us could have on our windshield would be sweet.
That's really cute.
We should start this.
Maybe Ford will reach out.
I like them.
The Arabian party is the big conversation.
Ellen is not invited and she's communicated with.
I actually thought this was great that Alicia and Rosie tell Joelle on about the party that
she's not invited to.
I think that's a good friend move.
I would appreciate that move as a friend to be known to at least know, hey, we're all
getting together tonight.
You're going to see it on social media.
You're going to watch it on television and you're not invited.
And I know this is going to hurt, but you should be aware and not shocked.
And you can talk through it with your spouse before things get ugly.
it's probably a good move from Rula too.
You know that if Joeline's going to be there,
not that it didn't happen without her there,
but you know that the Brian stuff is going to be brought up.
It's been brought up every time.
And if this is your party,
you get to invite who you want.
Yeah.
It makes it more realistic for me too as a friend group.
Like we know that these hangouts are produced semi.
Like the girls,
all the girls have to be there contractually or not contractually,
but like they're trying to get as many girls together as possible.
But what makes it organic is no one would invite or no one who's in rule of situation
would invite a Joe Ellen, you know?
Yeah.
So it makes it be like, okay, yeah, she wouldn't go to your house.
You may meet up for trivia or something or a winery, but you're not going to have her
to your home where she's been trying to sabotage your home life.
Sabotage your home life.
But I would also add into that, Lauren, she would allegedly be sharing.
deep truce about your home life.
Perra. That she feels is specifically beneficial for you to know about, which is interesting.
We obviously get all the ladies together at the party. Ashley and Jared are there.
Jared's short time at this party is full of him just being so kind.
Is he being kind?
he's telling everybody it looks so good
yeah yeah and um
Jared has to leave early to go do trivia at Audrey's
very like authentic again
but I called Ashley in the middle of watching this
and I was like you are so funny
I don't know if anyone else thinks you're funny
but the way you're obsessed with food
and you're so awkward
is like never fails to amazing how awkward she can be
like her double kiss with Rula
like oh I just try to do that
because I thought me you would tell me
just stop talking, Ashley.
Does it make you cringe a little bit?
It's like, it used to because I thought it would change,
but now it's like so hard that I'm like,
I'm like used to it and I think it's endearing.
But I just wish there was one smooth greeting by her,
like a smooth evening with nothing embarrassing.
I just can't, I mean, like the,
the moment that will live in my head from this whole season is her.
And not that she chose it, but the full mask at that party.
and she's just everybody else is looking like sexy and cute and she's just got like a full on mask
that imagery is actually going down in real house real housewife history people are loving that it's like
it's it's a meme now it's just a full-blown meme for people who don't mean to watch it it's so good it makes
me giggle hey before we dive into the party itself yes let's touch back on and i want to hear your
explanation of kind of the Liz situation with Joellen and Alicia.
Obviously, this is still a storyline that comes through this episode.
And Liz is telling her husband during this episode that she did apologize to Alicia
and has not heard back.
Alicia admits that Liz did call her and she's not answering.
She's just not ready for it yet.
What's your take so far on how this is playing out and maybe how it will play out?
I mean, the fact that she's not answering the phone when she knows that Liz is probably calling to apologize is kind of annoying to me.
Like if someone's trying to reach out and like, you know, own up, I would answer the phone.
But the way they handled it at the party seemed kind of like, let's just brush us on the surface, but then we're always going to look at each other differently.
Like, it'll never be the same.
It's not, we know too much.
Like, it'll be hard.
It'll be hard to move forward.
And it will be intriguing to me, Lauren, how Joe Ellen comes back into this, like what her
relationship with Liz looks like, if there is any at all.
I couldn't, I could never imagine coming back from that.
It was a crazy fight.
It was a crazy fight, but I do sense that if Liz led the way and told Joelle, hey, I said a lot
of things.
I didn't, I mean all the things I said.
but the one thing that was maybe overstated was how much we aren't friends.
I do think Joellen would jump right back in head first.
Yeah, but I don't think she would jump back in with like good intentions.
She would be like, I have more dirt and I'm collecting dirt.
And ever since then, ever since like the disrespect, I think Joanne's probably knowing her
plotting something else against Liz.
Like she'll, she's not going to take it lying down.
I mean, I think she, everyone wants to be Liz's good graces, though,
because she is like the matriarch of this whole group,
and she is like very influential.
But I don't think Joe Allen's going to,
she's going to have some ammo after all this.
She's the queen of gathering information.
She is.
And it does feel like where she resorts to when things get tough.
But as at right now where we sit during this season,
it feels like Jo Ellen has been soft.
She's tried a couple things and not maybe even intentionally trying to do them for harm.
She's tried to bring, you know, a light to Rula that her husband is having an affair.
She has, you know, tried to stand up for Alicia and confront Liz.
And that hasn't really worked.
And Liz is still invited to the parties.
And Joellen is not.
So true.
Seems like she's kind of gotten softened or beaten down that her attempts at gathering information and being the fearless leader of this group has not worked in her favor.
Yeah.
When you really break it down, you make a lot of sense.
And you're like, well, is anything she done really that crazy?
Yeah.
No.
Like, she should probably still be invited.
It makes me think there's more going on.
Yes, exactly.
I think there's more going on.
There are certain things that I have heard.
heard. I am currently in the gorgeous state of Rhode Island right now. So there's been whispers
in Rhode Island of alleged awful things that Joanne has done. So maybe I'm looking at her
in a different light than I have been. I don't want to say too much, actually. I'm going to leave
it at that. And we'll see what happens in season two, because that's going to start filming in
very, very, very, very soon. Very soon. Season two will be interesting to see all the ladies come back
together. We have a few more weeks of this season.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what should we?
should call it.
We were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas
Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential
title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or

like Sway Lee.
Do you realize how legendary you are?
I appreciate that.
I'd be seeing it, but I'm like,
man, I still got, like, so much more to do.
Like, Prince, he dropped, like, 30 albums.
We dropped, like, five right now.
That's the rate we got to be going.
Yeah, that's a good attitude.
You also hear stories from industry legends
and hip-hop pioneers like Fab Five Freddie.
I directed when the Nazis' early events.
Which one?
One love.
Wow.
I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge.
His moms were still up in that apartment.
Nause was just beginning to take off.
His pops used to live near me in Harlem.
His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff, and he made a young
prodigy.

A couple of things that stand out during the party.
I said it last week because it was in the teaser.
Having Brian with the belly dancer was a chef's kiss.
Perfect.
It was so good.
It was perfect timing.
It was perfect voiceover.
Your sister gets very excited about the food.
She does a little wiggle dance.
Ooh, wait, what was it?
And she goes, ooh, cheese puffs or something.
Yeah.
Oh, past hors d'oeuvres.
And I'm like, you're so funny.
She'll never say no to the food.
Yeah, she's a big fan of the cheese puff.
It's very excited.
Very animated.
Kelsey and Bill show up.
Bill is not dressed for the celebration at all.
Yeah.
I don't think the boys really know what to do with Arabian nights.
Yeah.
They're not going to wear puffy Aladdin pants.
No.
Jared could.
You could, but he wouldn't.
He wouldn't. He just kind of... He doesn't like to have fun.
Yeah, they just all come dressed nice and looking good.
Really the big moment for me at this party, Lauren, was the conversation that Rich and Bill had to try to bring peace to their partners.
Yeah.
I don't want to speak into this. I do... I do think there's a protective mentality for both spouses.
I'm not saying it's like the man or the woman.
but if something is going on with my wife and somebody else and it's gone on for longer than
I feel like it should, I have, I feel almost an obligation to step in.
Yeah.
It's like infiltrating your marriage.
It's yeah.
And you're like, I can't listen to this anymore.
It's a cloud over our heads.
Let's please put it to rest.
And especially because Bill and Rich just seems.
like two good bros.
Like I love both of them.
They seem like good dudes.
So I'm sure they don't want to hear at nausea.
I'm like, Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey, Rosie.
So it's like, please, guys.
You're actually fighting over nothing.
You're fighting over nothing.
If the two of you actually laid out in the table what you don't like each other for,
there would be very little substance to that argument.
So the men are kind of saying, hey, we're clear-headed here.
I like you, Bill.
Bill's saying, I like you, Rich.
I think we can kick it.
Let's see if we can figure it out.
So it brings the ladies into it.
Rosie and Kelsey are asked to confront the issues that at least are sitting in front of us today.
It seems to be kind of around Kelsey's entrance into Rosie's house.
I would still say, yes, maybe too soon.
Kelsey admitted to that.
Not the appropriate time.
We weren't ready to joke about it yet.
We used to have some healing to do.
but I don't think it was done with ill intentions.
I do think Kelsey thought Rosie could get a laugh out of it,
which would bring them closer together.
Was it an unwise decision?
Yes, but we've all made unwise decisions.
I do think it's possible to, like, heal that wound.
See, look at Kelsey owning up to her actions.
I think that they'll have a better friendship in the future.
Yeah.
I hope so.
Yeah, I think that I wonder if.
rich if they have a rain camera or anything got to see any of her like pushing Kelsey out of the house
that would be iconic yeah and also probably a motivation to be like hey let's fix this because
what i saw there is not cool yes yes yes he's like i've never heard rosy screaming like that probably
and then the other meat of this party is um oh basically rosy tell is does rosy tell alicia that she should
tell her, tell Rula about this video. I think she's like, you should tell her and she's like,
I'm not ready. And then Rosie, I may have had one too many and just kind of like, I got to tell
you. Like, there's a video, you know, and do you know what's in it? And what I find amazing about
this scene is I would have, as like the wife who's like gathering this information, I'm like,
okay, tell me, tell me. She immediately's like, Brian, Brian, they're talking about a video. And getting
him in on this conversation, I would have gotten as much intel as possible and then maybe have
talked to Brian. She almost wants Brian right there to contradict it and make her feel better
immediately. I'm shocked that Brian still shows up. One. I'm shocked. Shocked that he continues to say,
yes, I will come to this party, knowing that every time I've come to one of these public events,
the end of the night ends with me leaving early because you guys are making accusations.
against me that I am uncomfortable with, either because they're real or not real.
He is still yet really defended himself in a way that even makes me think he's a good liar.
He just kind of sits in it.
He's going to give me an aneurism.
It's very confusing, Lord.
He goes, oh, you know, you know, dates can, he never looks at anyone in the eye.
He looks around.
He looks down.
He goes, you know, dates could be altered.
Dates could be doctored.
You know, no, no.
It's like, this is crazy the denial.
And it's crazy to me that Rula hasn't at some point.
I mean,
benefit of the doubt here.
But if my wife was getting told by close friends,
multiple different ways,
hey, Ben is doing something that I don't think you'd be proud of or supportive of.
And she's like, the first time she's like, no, I know my husband.
He wouldn't do that.
And then there's different evidence.
She'd go, okay.
still know my husband, but I'm going to ask him.
Yeah.
And then a whole other third video, I think at some point, Jessica would be like,
what is going on here, Ben?
Like, please tell me exactly what's happening to where there's so much backing to this now.
And so many people are involved in it,
people that supposedly care about me at least a little bit,
that this can't be all wrong and false.
Yeah, I don't know what's.
going on behind the scenes. I know that we're still talking about this affair and like all this
evidence is coming out, but it's still just as wild to me as the first time we've heard about it
because there's just more and more evidence and there has to be something tying them together.
And the only reason I can think of that he keeps showing up and talking to these people
and doing what he's doing is because he is a fame whore. He just wants his face out there for some reason.
And he just loves attention good or bad. It's bizarre.
Yeah, but it's not uncommon in reality.
People are nuts.
I saw some, it was like another podcast and they were talking about Jared.
They're like, can we just use Jared as an example here of he has the capability of
being like more famous and using a platform, but all he wants to do is make coffee.
That is the exact opposite of Bryant who's literally just trying to get more followers
in fame to show how bad of a person he is.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
And that has been since.
my first time on reality television and getting to know people intimately through the shows.
It has been one of the biggest, it's most confusing dynamics of a human behavior that I've ever
experiences, hey, why are you okay with being famous yet not respected?
Mm-hmm.
and also continuing to like get punished in life by public opinion.
Why do you continue to pursue this?
Sometimes it's unwarranted.
Sometimes the public is wrong.
But in this case, at some point, Rula has to say, or Brian has to say, hey, maybe the public is right.
When does the arrest come into play here?
Like what's the timeline of that?
Oh, next week is the finale.
So I guess it happens, like right after this, the,
Rayby Knight's party.
So, yeah, we got a lot to learn there.
I think that's a storyline, as we've said throughout this season.
And one that we want to follow is, so if Rula is the one that is getting told Brian's
up to something, Brian's following Rula for obvious reasons.
Mm-hmm.
And that feels like my expectation of that would be that all of a sudden Rula's eyes open
up a little bit.
Yeah.
to the stuff that's been happening that she has been denying or pushing aside mentally.
Why do you think that he's tracking her?
You said for obvious reasons, but I feel like it could be not misinterpreted, interpreted in a couple different ways.
I feel like he's doing it because he wants to know where she's at all times in case he is canoodling at his office.
He wants to know if she's on her way.
Okay, yeah.
That's what I think.
Okay.
That would be my guess.
Yeah.
That would be an alleged guess by me.
Yes, alleged guess.
I think that, yes, that is possible.
Or maybe like he is going to try to like flip it or something and be like, well, where were you?
I saw that you were here or something and make her look like the bad person because there's so much ammo for him.
We have to make her look bad if there is a impending divorce, you know.
but I think it's a multitude of reasons.
Crazy, crazy, crazy, arrested.
Arrested in the midst.
This season has not been good for Brian out of everybody else.
I feel like it has been the worst for Brian.
Okay, can I just say one more thing about Brian?
He calls Joellen Ho Ellen.
Like, Ho Ellen?
Sir, you're literally cheating on your wife in front of all Rhode Island.
How is Joe Ellen, Ho Ellen, because she's calling you out.
so aggressive.
And there's a lot I want to say here, Lauren.
Okay, okay.
I guess when it comes to Brian,
he just consistently looks so bad during this whole season
that it almost feels like him using a derogatory term
towards another woman is not even the thing we talk about.
Like, that's how bad he looks.
That's like far down the list.
if I go on television and I was to call somebody that,
it would be a headline.
Headline.
Headline.
Everywhere.
I'd be canceled, crushed.
Yes.
Destroyed.
And that was brushed over.
I forgot about it.
Yeah, it's not even a thing with him
because I think there's so many other things that we're confused by or talking about.
And she's call, and then Rula calls Joanne a cockroach.
Rula's favorite term is calling people cockroach.
which is and it's just you're directing your anger in another in the wrong place yet again.
Anyways,
after the party,
we show Kelsey and Liz again doing clam stuff right.
I don't know.
That's where,
that's where Kelsey says,
or Liz,
do you think that you're ever wrong?
And she says no.
And that's pretty much it.
Really?
And then they show us,
show them all getting ready for Block Island where the husband's all come.
And,
uh,
I think that's where,
Brian gets arrested before.
I don't know.
I don't know where that plays out, actually.
That'd be very interesting
if Brian couldn't go to Block Island
because he was arrested,
but we don't know that yet.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, Jonas, and offered it up as a potential.
title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard.
to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the
Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that.
That is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.
Listen to Rebel Spirit season two on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The rest of the show, the rest of this episode is really just kind of recapping it feels like in a lot of ways.
So the rest of the episode, we see Kelsey and Liz on the beach where Liz is very happy.
We get to see, as you said, Liz admitting that she's never been wrong.
we do see Joellen talking about how hurt she is by this whole scenario.
Lauren, the final thing I want to talk to you about is something that could be nothing.
But Rosie is the one that brings the video to Rula's attention.
It is not Joellen.
It is not Liz.
It's not Kelsey.
It's Rosie who has also not had an easy go during this season at making friendships.
Does this backfire on Rosie?
That would be awful if it did,
but Rula did seem very offended
that her best friend in the whole group,
Alicia didn't bring this video to her.
Alicia's not the person, though.
Yeah, I know.
I mean, like you said,
Alicia's like this, like, sweet, innocent,
adult who's a 10-year-old
who just wants to be, have fun and be around.
Yeah.
I really hope it doesn't backfire on.
Rosie, I couldn't imagine it doing so.
So I'm just kind of scared for Alicia, I guess.
It doesn't really matter, though.
I feel like this fight would be so stupid,
like to redirect more hate on someone
who's just trying to deliver information Arula.
But it's why she got mad at Joellen.
Yeah, they're so stupid.
I don't understand this hatred.
I don't.
It's, there's hatred,
towards Joellen because of her
continuing to kind of
bring information to the forefront.
We do see the whole crew going to Block
Island.
If Joellen is there, which
she is.
Yeah.
We know this video is going to get shown
immediately, right, to Rula?
Like, our expectation is that?
Well, did Rula not
see it at the Arabian Nights party?
Or she just heard the description of it.
She just heard the description.
Oh, okay.
So, yeah.
she has to see it.
Has to see it.
I would hold her eyes open with toothpicks and be like, watch this video.
Now try to disprove this.
Yeah, the dates are unaltered.
Unaltered.
Verified.
Not AI.
Not AI.
Not AI.
Gross.
I hate this woman.
I hate this woman, the mistress too.
I just don't.
I'm getting like ached out by the entire situation because Brian just looks so bad.
Worse and worse and worse and worse every week.
who said this isn't the first time that Brian's had bellies and titties on them or something like that?
I don't remember.
Was that Kelsey?
I think it was Kelsey.
I'm going to give Kelsey the credit there.
That's so true.
There was one part that Ashley was so mad they didn't put in.
It was when everyone was fighting or discussing like Rosie and Kelsey were making up or whatever they were doing.
And then Rula was getting information about the video.
And Ashley is belly dancing with the belly dancer because she has a.
nothing contribute.
And I was like, I would have loved if they panned over to Ashley just trying to belly dance,
literally riding solo.
Just, I don't want to be around this stuff.
I feel a lot more comfortable here.
A cheese puff in her hand and belly dance.
Yeah. Is actually a good dancer?
The worst dancer actually of all the time.
I wonder that.
Okay.
So like she doesn't have that in her like to even try.
No.
But I will say she has a great stomach.
So if it were any kind of dancing, she would succeed.
it would be belly dancing.
Okay.
But it just, yeah, it's not like,
it's not something that she would be doing
and like impressing the masses.
I would love for her to do dancing with the stars one day
and go home the first day
because there's no way she would deserve to go further than that.
Hey, for the preview for the next episodes,
Lauren, we got the crew going to Block Island, as we said.
It is the Rhode Island Caribbean
because Rhode Islanders cannot seem to leave Rhode Island.
They just find new places in that state to visit.
we kind of get a comparison to this whole weekend with the waters being rough and if this is going
to be a rough weekend we'd have to expect it would be why would they all get together and not
have some type of issues Brian is admitting to Gary that he messed up and there is videotapes
so we do at least get that hint at what is to come rule is crying at the dinner Brian is
arrested and Rosie asking Rula, what are you going to do? I love that part. I've been excited for
that part the whole season because it's so point blank. Like, okay, now you know this. He was arrested.
You have to make a decision. And I just hope that she says something like meaningful, not like,
I don't know. I don't know. It's like, now you know. Now you know. What are you going to do?
That should be the title of the episode. Again, we've said it the whole time. My own personal
values, morals, convictions taken out of it. If Rula at some point says, hey, guys, I know he's been doing
this. I've known he's been doing this. And I'm good with it. End a story. Fine. Fine. Hey,
you guys do you. I can't change you. I'm not going to try to change you. I don't know you.
I'm watching you on television. Is it how I would operate my life? No. But does that matter here?
Not at all. But she's yet to even give us that. It's this whole thing has been,
so frustrating, I think, for me, because I don't know Rurala stance. Does she not believe the stuff
she's been confronted with? And is that why she's in denial? Does she believe it and just not care?
Mm-hmm. Okay. Or does she really think all this has been manipulated and created by AI and none of it's real?
She knows it's all, I mean, in my head, as a viewer watching this, I think she knows it's all real. And she's
just choosing to believe what Brian's telling her because it's easier.
Wait and find out.
We've got more episodes that come.
The season is coming to an end, but we do know that around the corner,
there is another season of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island being filmed because of the success of this season.
So if you've enjoyed the breakdowns and listening to us converse about all things Real Housewives, Rhode Island, the behind the scenes,
our opinions and takes, there is more to come if you just follow along.
Lauren, we're going to chat next week.
I know coming up, we have the finale and also a reunion.
And we're going to plug in some episodes in between then because we can't just do it all
at once.
We'll have some special guests that will come on and help us break it down.
It's going to be very fun and exciting here at the Almost Famous podcast.
Such riveting content to come.
I'm so excited for the reunion.
And you're in Rhode Island right now.
Yeah, yeah.
Is like the vibe different?
Is Ashley a star there right now?
Let me tell you, when I landed today in this Providence Airport, I was like, it's got in a, it's got in a facelift.
There's way more restaurants than normal.
And I was like, Ashley, you're actually bringing commerce and bringing up the economy because of real house of the real housewives of Rhode Island.
And she was like, I know like Newport is going to be crazy this summer because people are probably going to do Newport.
pizza mama,
Audrey's,
the dispensary,
like hitting it up
on like
Bachelorette parties
and stuff.
I really think
it's changing here.
Oh my goodness.
The power.
The power of Bravo.
Would we want
anybody else
to have the power
that Ashley has
right now
in the whole world?
Yeah.
We just want
Ashley to hold
that power honestly.
And I want her
to continue holding
the power
because she needs a bigger
house.
Guys,
this is insane.
I'm trying to find
one place
to sit here
and quiet
and there's
nowhere to go.
Maybe next season the storyline can be
we're building a 5,000 square.
Oh, yes.
Very good.
Hey, we'll be back next week, breaking down
the real housewise of Rhode Island. Until next time,
I've been Ben. I've been Lauren.
We'll talk to you soon, everybody.
Bye.
