This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHeartRadio.
This is Almost Famous Podcast.
We have one of my favorites in Bachelor Nation, Susie, here with us.
Susie, I just listened to your podcast.
And I was telling you this about scamming.
for all the listeners out there
of the almost famous podcast
I think they should listen
to your podcast
and give it a try.
Thank you.
And scamming was one
that I listened to
because I have been attempted.
Bob,
I don't know if you feel this way.
I think I get,
I think people attempt to scam me once a day.
Wait, so what do we talk?
How do you mean scam?
Like emails or phone calls.
So I have two and Susie,
we're going to dive into you.
I want to hear,
no,
I want to hear your scam story.
because we didn't get to finish it earlier.
She has a whole podcast on this with an expert.
It's incredible.
You should listen to it.
But there was one moment where Capital One called me.
I went through the whole thing.
They asked me a bunch of questions.
All of a sudden, I realized it wasn't Capital One.
I'd already given them a bunch of information.
And it scared me.
The second was last week.
My business, Generous, almost got scammed for close to $50,000.
Crazy.
Crazy.
And luckily, we have some checks and balances in place where our,
accountant can't write the check
if it's over a certain amount
and all of a sudden I said I didn't sign up
for leadership training for 50 grand
I don't know where this is coming from
and so I know so many
so many friends
I'll just use a couple
real quick the Kentucky Derby for example
which I go to every year for the last 20 years
which I'm so proud to be associated with it
I started bringing some friends
into it and
two of them got scammed
where they were told oh you need to pay
right now in full
and it was called it was a thing called ghosting
where they ghost an email that you've already been
communicating in and you think you're responding to the same person
but it's a different person that person doesn't see any of that email
they sent the check they sent the cash
$20,000
oh my gosh
and they're like we never got that money
can you imagine being 70 plus years old
and not familiar with this new world
It breaks my heart, honestly.
So, Susie, tell everybody as we start out here about your podcast.
Obviously, we talked about it, what, three months ago on this show as it was getting launched, but it's launched.
You have some great episodes, a new one with Wells Adams out there.
That's really funny and really lighthearted, and it's Wells, and it's weird.
It's shocking if it's Wells.
Yeah.
It's not funny later.
It's super deep and heavy.
Yeah, it's really emotional.
We cried.
Yeah.
Susie, tell everybody out there listening where they can.
kind of listen to your latest project? So you can listen anywhere you listen to podcast. It's called
Live, Laugh Lies. And we do really fun graphics as well. So we do video, but then we also like
to overlay fun stuff on the screen. So if you like to watch, you can watch on YouTube. And it's,
it's a bit more fun. But yeah, we do some serious topics. Like we have people on that have the most
bizarre stories of like one woman married a guy who lied about everything, including his social
security number including his bank account numbers like everything like scammed her they were fully
married and then we had um experts on that talked about people that were scammed i was scammed recently
so that's kind of what piqued my interest with having her on and we talked about safety online and
like how to protect yourself um and then yeah we do an episode once a month called tell me lies
which is like more lighthearted so it's like less intense less like cheating scandals cults and more
like, let's have fun and, like, shoot this.
Who would be a better cult leader, Bob or myself?
Oh, gosh.
I think you would be.
Because I think you would be.
Me?
And I could give a reason why.
I want Susie to answer who she would rather follow.
Who I'd rather follow.
Yeah.
I follow Ben.
Okay.
Okay. Here's the deal.
I think you might, you both bring a lot to the table when it comes to a cult.
Let me start with that.
Sure.
Thank you.
I think.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think that, like, I don't know.
This is so hard to say, because I actually could see you, like, maybe accidentally starting a cult.
Yeah, because he's charismatic.
I would accidentally do a lot of things.
You are very, like, charismatic, and, like, I feel like people, like, I could hear anything you say right now, and I would believe exactly what you're saying.
Well, thank you.
Yeah.
No, that's not a comp.
And I don't know that that's, like, good or bad.
But then I could see you maybe.
like intentionally
intentionally being like
let me do
so I'm an accidental David
Krasch and he's like an intentional
David yeah yeah like I could see you and Wells
being let's get some white linen pants
and like start a cold where I feel like
with you
it'd be a happy accident
yeah I take that I like that that's nice I'll take
both you both bring a lot to the table though
and I get both like I think I think you could wake up
one morning and have now
four million followers on Instagram be like I don't know how
but let's guide
them in a direction. Let's go this way.
And Wells and I would be like, you know what?
We plan this.
Let's get ourselves in four million.
We're going to do this. We know exactly what we did.
Yeah. That's probably true.
And there's beauty in both of that. You know what I mean?
Like I see it and I appreciate it in both of you guys.
And I can see Susie in both those always.
You're so sweet. You guys, do you guys ever see the movie Beekeeper?
No. Oh my gosh. So what you were just saying about scamming just resonated with me.
only because my mom's 78, she got early on said dementia, right?
And we're doing all these things we can to help take care of it.
I go to her house the other day and her computer is talking to her.
Oh, my gosh.
And I'm like, what, your computer?
Who's talking?
And the computer's saying, you know, oh, you have downloaded the Trojan virus.
Go to this and call this number.
And I'm like, that's really weird.
So I dial up on my phone.
I'm like, what's the number to call for Microsoft if you have a virus?
And it wasn't the same number that was on the screen.
but it looked exactly the same.
Oh, my gosh.
And there's a movie called Beekeeper with Jason Statham, and it's crazy.
And if you watch it on a plane, because it was a plain movie for me, you'll probably cry, which I always do.
And it was basically about someone who got taken advantage of by a scam like this,
where they hack into all your stuff.
I mean, you should, I mean, is that what we're talking about right now?
Yeah.
It was like, it was insane because I hadn't even thought about it until this just happened
with my mom and then this movie.
So I think it's a real thing.
Like it can actually really happen and it's kind of bananas.
It's becoming really, they're getting really good at it.
It's becoming really prevalent.
And that's not like all of what we talk about on the podcast,
but that's been Mary Bonnet from Selling Sunset.
She had someone hack into her computer,
fully watching her, they got into her ring cameras in her house,
watching her in her living room,
throughout her whole house,
sending her subliminal messages on her computer.
Oh, my God.
Everyone thought she was, like, going crazy
because nobody else could see the messages and he would, like, delete them.
Literally, like, taunted her for nine months.
And then they, like, the FBI got involved.
Like, it is crazy how good people are getting at scams and spying.
That is a great segue to the question we asked earlier,
which is when it comes to baby monitors,
Wi-Fi or not?
Oh, yeah.
No, no Wi-Fi.
That's what my wife is saying is she said, stay away.
So my sister's best friend had a horrible Wi-Fi experience where every night she'd come in
to check on her son, who's now 10, and he would go, you know, Mommy, so-and-so said
that I should, you know, stay awake and I shouldn't go to bed right now.
And she's like, whatever, honey.
It gives me a chill.
And this happened every night for like four nights in a row until finally my sister's friend
was like, I'm going to lay on the floor in his room.
Yeah.
When I put him asleep and just see what I'm missing.
And sure enough, a dude comes on the monitor voice, a dude's voice.
You can't see him.
And he's like, you don't need to go to bed.
You should start screaming right now that you don't want to go to bed.
And it was a guy who had hacked into their Wi-Fi thing.
So yeah, I'm a no Wi-Fi guy when it comes to monitors myself because it's just not the technology.
I knew it was a thing. I didn't know there was a thing. I didn't know there was weirdos out there that would even try this.
Yeah, who has time to go talk to a baby? Can we do something cooler? Yeah. Can we hack like some bad guy in another country that needs to be taken down?
Yeah. It's so stupid. Yeah. All right. Well, this is a great podcast though, Susie. You're crushing it.
And since the launch that we talked about on the almost famous of this podcast, it's been not only entertaining. It's been.
comedy. It's been a mix
of comedy and
real life experience and
emotion and it's awesome. You're doing a
great job. Thank you. So you should
know that and anybody should listen to it. Bob
has a game for you though. Okay. I do.
About the baby shower.
Now guys I'm going to tell you this is going to be
interesting because it's called guess who.
Oh. All right. Mommy or daddy.
And I know some of these answers
intimately. I actually really do.
And I think that if life
experience will serve me on this, I will tell you that I know the right answers to these,
but I'm going to let you guys go through this. Okay. It's called, guess who, mommy or daddy,
right? So it's a simple answer. Okay. You'll say mommy or daddy. Okay. And you will say mommy or
daddy. Okay. Um, but I'm going to give you guys a little time frame on this because I think that
it's going to change over time, especially this first one. So if you had to take a survey as to
who will change more diapers, would it be mommy?
or daddy.
So, Susie, I'm going to go to you first.
Oh, answer?
I think Mommy.
Okay.
Mommy.
All right.
Now, I'm going to give you guys a little subcontext here in the first six months.
Mommy.
Who will change more diapers, Susie?
I'm going to say Mommy.
Mommy.
Daddy.
No way.
I promise you.
Really?
Here's why.
Mommy.
Well, okay, you know what?
In my personal experience, I will say mommy.
or I'll say daddy.
Here's why.
In that first six months,
mommy is in charge of giving life to this kid.
Preach.
If you're breastfeeding or if you're not.
So daddy should step up.
Daddy's job is to be like,
oh, the kid shit himself.
My time to shine.
Here I go.
I love that take.
So get involved.
And if the answer is not Daddy,
I might come to Denver and smack you in the face.
Period.
I love that.
And I love you.
I never want to smack you.
No.
But the truth be told,
Yeah, you're right.
The answer better be daddy in that first six months.
Oh, so is this like what we think should be?
No, it's the real stuff, but I'm, for some reason, it's triggering me and I'm getting PTSD.
No, honestly, we love a good trigger around here.
Okay.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Oh, wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has.
has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now, hold up.
Isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
My name is Ed. Everyone say, hello, Ed.
I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin.
So, like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
now.
Listen to Wisecrack on the IHeart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hola, it's Honey German, and my podcast,
Grazacus Come Again, is back.
This season, we're going even deeper
into the world of music and entertainment,
with raw and honest conversations
with some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities.
You didn't have to audition?
No, I didn't audition.
I haven't audition in, like, over 25 years.
Oh, wow.
That's a real G-talk right there.
Oh, yeah.
We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians, content creators, and culture shifters
sharing their real stories of failure and success.
You were destined to be a start.
We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs,
and those amazing Vibras you've come to expect.
And of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles,
and all the issues affecting our Latin community.
You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the,
code switching? I won't say whitewashed
because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me.
Yeah. But the whole pretending and
you know, it takes a toll on you.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose
between a maximum security prison or the most brutal boot camp
designed to be hell on earth?
Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.
He said, you are a number, a New York State number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camps, are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life, emphasizing strict discipline, physical training, hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program and had no idea of the hell awaiting him.
the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming
and you don't know who's next to you.
And we didn't know what to expect in the morning.
Nobody tells you anything.
Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm Dr. Joy Hardin Bradford.
And in session 421 of therapy for black girls,
I sit down with Dr. Othia and Billy Shaka
to explore how our hair connects to our identity,
mental health, and the ways we heal.
Because I think hair is a complex language system, right?
In terms of it can tell how old you are, your marital status, where you're from, you're a spiritual belief.
But I think with social media, there's like a hyperfixation and observation of our hair, right?
That this is sometimes the first thing someone sees when we make a post or a reel is how our hair is styled.
You talk about the important role hairstyles play in our community, the pressure to always look put together,
and how breaking up with perfection can actually free us.
Plus, if you're someone who gets anxious about flying,
don't miss Session 418 with Dr. Angela Neil Barnett,
where we dive into managing flight anxiety.
Listen to therapy for black girls on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Who will be more patient, mommy or daddy, Susie?
Oh, I feel like it depends, but I feel like
mommy. I feel like mommy.
I think in our relationship,
Daddy. Okay. Yeah. I think
Jessica will be
so on. Are you keeping a score by the way, Kendall?
I think you are. Yes. Jessica will be so
on top of so much. Yes.
That like
that, like I will be the one that's
a little bit more calm because
she's going to be so on top of it. So you almost
have to be the calm. I have to be the calm one. Yeah.
Even though I might not feel it internally,
at least externally to the family,
need to pull that role because she has no other option but to be on it.
Well, and I'm going to tell you, you have never slept less in your life.
Yeah.
When we were the bachelor guys and we would, we would like be bitching about the fact that, oh, we were,
oh, we had to go to Vegas tonight.
And then we came back and we had to go on a hot air balloon ride at 5 a.m.
With three other girls, that stuff seemed challenging at the time.
Yeah.
Even though people at home right now are going, what?
Yeah, that makes sense.
But when you have a child and you haven't slept and your kids,
crying and you're changing diapers and everything else you've never slept less and so to be patient
in these moments it's a gift from god to have that patience who wants the most kids mommy or daddy
with you all specifically yeah oh i don't know i'm gonna guess you okay daddy wants so many more
really yeah how many did how many this first pregnancy has gone way too easy for her
yeah so that that listens it up a little bit she's thinking i could have five she's like this wasn't
bad as I thought it could be, Ben, you want to
impregnate me five times? I'm like,
no, no, no, we talk about two.
So Canyon and I, our first
child was so difficult for Canyon.
Like the actual,
you know, child, carrying the pregnancy, yeah.
pregnancy itself. She, it wasn't morning
sickness, it was morning, it was sickness
all the time. Yeah, so people get that. It's literally
all the time. And so to have a second child
was, was, was a, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was, was a, was, was a
it was a happy accident. Yeah.
She was done.
So I was pretty happy about that.
Wow.
All right.
Now, who will spoil the baby the most?
I think I know this answer.
Mommy or daddy?
Maybe daddy.
I don't know.
It's so hard to say.
You guys are such a sweet mix of kindness.
I know.
You guys are both so sweet.
There's a different level of spoiling.
Yeah.
It's a baby girl.
And I know she's going to have me wrapped around her finger.
However, Jessica has big plans.
Like when it comes to what this baby girl is going to experience, tea parties and Disney and all these things.
Yeah.
I think it's going.
I honestly think this and this is unfair.
It would be a 50-50.
I think she'll spoil her more because my parents were very intentional because I was an only child to say, I'm not going to spoil Ben.
Oh, okay.
And I think I have that implemented in me of like, let's not give her more than what like life is expected.
Yeah.
So that she doesn't get the wrong idea here.
And Jessica's going to be like, no, she'll get everything.
She's going to get the world.
Yeah.
Yeah, I love that.
All right, guys, last question.
Okay.
The movie Clueless, notwithstanding, right?
No one wants to be the fun mom, played by Amy Puller.
Who will be the fun parent?
Who will be the fun one?
Is it going to be Jess?
Is it going to be Ben?
I already know the answer in my family.
I'll give you some insight while you guys work on this answer.
It's tough.
Canyon is definitely the fun parent.
I am the one who I come home from work
and I'm like, Daddy, here he is.
I'm like, I don't want to be this guy,
but you're kind of forced into the role.
And Kenney is the one who's like, she's home all day,
so she's also the one is like, you know,
please stay, mama, man, money.
And they're like jamming and I walk in.
I'm like, why is it so loud here?
I don't know why I just adopt a role.
So what do you think?
Who's going to be the fun one?
Oh my gosh.
This is, I feel like this goes similar
with like the spoil question.
I think it depends.
Oh, it's so hard to answer.
I feel like because just obviously as a woman, she's a girl, and to have a little girl,
like, she's going to know the vibes.
You're princess vibes.
But then I also think sometimes, like, this was kind of the dynamic in my family.
My mom was definitely the caregiver.
And so my dad had the ability to come home and be like, let's rock.
Like, let's have fun and wrestle.
So fun.
Yeah.
So, like, the dynamic in my family and my mom had to, like, lay the law a little bit harder
because my dad was more.
of like the breadwinner and came home and was like that that was the dynamic but I don't know
maybe Jess I think it's going to depend on age Jessica yeah thrive from birth till like honestly
like she's going to thrive forever but she's really going to rock until like eight and then
I think I'm going to crush it middle age like teenage so it's middle age yeah middle age parenting
like eight to like into high school because I can
take, I can take some gritty information and process it and be like, I've been there.
Jessica hasn't been there.
My wife is the purest soul of all time.
She is pretty pure.
She is, she's done so well at keeping like her values and her morals in line where like maybe I didn't as much.
And I think I can consume information and be like, I've been there.
I get it.
I don't like to hear this from you, young lady.
This hurts me.
but daddy can handle it
but I can handle it
and let's talk this through
and so I think it's going to change
I think I'm going to be great
I think Jessica's going to be great at both stages
but we're going to switch off
and I think when
when my baby girl comes home
and she's like this guy broke my heart
I think I'll be the one she's like
let me talk to dad
I bet you're going to kill that guy though
yeah oh I'll in my back
I can be a dad I could be a dad to a girl
I would want to literally kill every dude
yeah it's tough for me to think about
right now. I just think there's a moment
where I'll sit, have you guys seen Shrinking
yet? Yes, I love that show.
But I've heard I mean to. I'm so good. Yeah.
And he crushes it as a teenage dad.
He makes so many mistakes. So many mistakes.
So he's so awkward.
It's hysterical. But it's like
that's... He's such a great actor because
he is so hysterical. And it's like,
no, I get it. Like he's trying and his daughter
loves him and she's like, she
wants him around.
And, but yeah,
I think that girl's
going to be, um,
Very loved.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Can I ask one more question that's on our list here?
It's on the list, but I, so we've not talked about the name yet, correct?
We're keeping that kind of quiet.
Yeah, so, but have you guys decided on one yet?
Yes.
So may I ask, because this does matter, by the way, it really does.
Who chose it?
You?
Were you the guy that chose the name or was she the one that chose the name?
And do you think it matters?
Because I'm going to tell you what it does.
P.S. She chose the name, but she chose it knowing it's a name I'd be behind.
Oh. Okay. So it's Debbie. It's Debbie. It's Debbie. Oh, it's such a great name. Debbie.
Well, why would it not be? I mean, honest God. She's like, you love Susie. Yeah, Susie. I mean, you love Susie.
Big fans in this house. You named your baby Sugarman. Sugarman Higgins? I love it.
Yeah, it's so weird. That's amazing.
buddy i love this susy thank you thank you for joining us thanks for having me name of the podcast
and what anything else that you're out up to that you'd love people to tune into
no honestly the podcast is where i would love to see the support live laugh lies um on youtube
i'm doing vlogging right now i'm on youtube vlogging a lot just trying to like build my
youtube community so that's been fun but the podcast is it weird that i don't even know what
vlogging is? It's not weird.
I feel like I have, it's like acid
indigestion for me. Vlogging.
I feel like I should take a pill for that.
Yeah. You might want to watch you as you watch mine.
I'm gonna watch it. No, no, no. It's fun.
It's like, right now I'm doing it in December
