This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHeart Radio.
It's Almost News Podcast, and I'm here today with some brief.
Breaking Bachelor Nation news, and I couldn't do it without my guy, Joey G.
Joey, you're still recovering.
You just got done with the New York City Marathon.
I think it's nothing but impressive.
But how are you feeling now?
I'm sure, dude.
I'm not going to lie.
I'm glad to be talking to.
I miss your buddy.
But, yeah, no, I'm sorry.
It was something that I'm glad I was able to accomplish.
I originally when I was done was like, there's no way I do it again.
but I think I also now that I've been thinking back
on how cool that day was I do think I might do it again next year
so it was fulfilling but man I don't think humans are supposed to run that long
I'll just be honest did you feel like prepared you trained hard
I trained really hard the problem was was I trained hard and late
I probably should have had longer time to train and I was traveling quite a bit
so I had missed some days and then it was two weeks before I did my longest run
which was a 20-mileer, and I ended up hurting my foot,
and then I wasn't 100% going into the marathon
and had to stop running two weeks before
because I was just trying to get healthy.
So I came in a little cold.
It's amazing that I was still able to do it.
Like, I'm stoked by cardio kept up,
but my legs definitely felt it.
Like, I lost a lot of stamina at the end,
but, man, it was so cool.
New York shows out for that event, so it was fun.
You ran it in four hours, 29 minutes, 58 seconds.
What is that if you break it down per mile?
I think it was somewhere on like 10, 17 per mile,
which I would say I'm not like,
I would never brag about that time.
I think the goal when I first was training
was I was probably going to be able to get close to under four hours.
That was what I would love like to do,
which was closer to a nine minute mile.
But I wasn't 100%.
And it would be crazy to think if I was able to do that,
not 100%.
So I think I would actually be injured right now
if I tried to hit that time.
So when I came into the day,
I did say my goal was,
well, I just want to at least beat 4.30, and it was harder than I expected it to be.
And I remember that last mile. I was like, oh, I got to kind of move a little bit to actually break 430.
So kicked it into overdrive and luckily got there with two seconds to spare.
It's incredible.
I mean, I was looking at the times.
Obviously, the winners are like, it's unfathomable.
Unfathomable.
But then you have Zach Clark who runs it in like 329 or something.
That's incredible.
Crazy.
You know, it's just, it's a special event.
congratulations once again no matter what you did it and that's huge and in an impressive time
we have a big announcement coming up but our listeners wrote in when we told them that you're
coming on they wouldn't know how wedding planning's going give us a quick update yeah man it's going
we are in the process of still talking with our wedding planner I think the first thing that we're
trying to really lock in by beginning of next year is location and date I think that's most important
and obviously the first thing to knock off.
And we're leaning in a certain direction.
We like one of the venues that was found.
So we're going to go check that out hopefully here soon
and have some answers probably here in the future
of when it's going to be and where it's going to be.
But honestly, it's been fun to start thinking about
and starting to kind of figure out what it's going to look like.
And I'm just really focusing on make sure it hits Kelsey's vision
and what she wants.
And it's practical and something that makes sense for all of us.
But I'm just really excited because as you take more steps, it's becoming more and more real.
And as people know, like, I know I hear it all the time.
Like, why aren't you guys getting married yet, this or that?
The setup of this show is you get engaged very quickly.
You have to kind of still figure out a lot of stuff in your life before you start taking this next step.
And it's not that I don't think we're going to take this next step.
We just both have talked it over and we don't want to rush it.
We want to enjoy it.
And we have a lot of other things going on right now that are great.
So it's nice that we don't.
have to rush into this. And we'll be looking to get a date here soon and sometime in
2027 and I can't wait to figure all of that out. I don't think there's any wise person out
there that would say, yeah, rush into marriage. Now, I don't think there's any wise person
that would say don't get married, but rush into marriage doesn't come out of many people's
mouths. Yeah. Especially from this show. Well, we're excited for you guys. Keep us updated as
planning continues, it is time to make the announcement. I can officially announce that I will be
joining Joey along with your favorite Bachelor Nation alum on the Bachelor Nation vacation at
C. Cruz. Joey, you've been signed up for a while. Yeah. I think just getting to be around you
is one of the big reasons why I'm going to go on this cruise because, you know,
your coolness just sheds off on me, especially on a cruise ship.
This event is happening November 16th through the 20th, 2026.
This cruise is leaving from Miami and going to Porto-Potta, Dominican Republic.
It's a Norwegian cruise line ship called the Joy.
Joey, are you excited for this cruise ship?
Yeah, I'm excited.
I think it's going to be really cool, like you said, first and foremost,
that we're going to get a lot of the Bathstone Nation alum together.
excited to see you. I'm excited to see a lot of other people that are coming on this
cruise. And Kelsey and I are just stoked to be able to connect with all of them. And then also
to be able to just go on a fun cruise with all the fans that have kind of been able to give
us this platform, this opportunity that we're so lucky to have. I've noticed a lot of times
throughout there's a lot of different ways to try to connect with the fans. But sometimes it
doesn't always work out or it's not in the most, I guess, easy locations or circumstances. And
there's just something about this cruise, I feel like it's going to be super fun. We'll get
the ability to connect, not only on our level with our own friends, but also with the fans.
And I just think it's going to be fun. I'm not, I've only one I think on two cruises, one
one in my entire life. And I haven't done one since I've been an adult. So I'm, I'm excited
just to get on a cruise and tell you the truth. It's been a long time for me. I used to go on cruises
for spring break in high school. Oh, yeah. Easy access to all the things that, you know, high
schoolers want in spring break. I'm with you. It's going to be incredible to have this reunion.
You know, before the last few years, we used to do these kind of reunions quite a bit,
either somebody's wedding or it was some event. And we haven't done them in a long time. It was
always a way for me to meet, you know, people who had been a part of Bachelor Nation for a long time,
way before my time, but also some of the newcomers who are coming through. And I think that's
what it's exciting about this. Also,
there's going to be activities on board this cruise ship.
Joey, I don't see your name mentioned here,
but I'm sure you're going to be leading some really fun stuff.
Can you give us maybe a little insight into some of the things that you would want to do
with the fans during this cruise?
I mean, give me some of the list of the things that you're seeing,
and I'll let you know what I'm interested in.
I'm still learning as we go on some of the stuff that's going on.
I know there's some fun things, though.
Okay, friends, real talk. You are worth the wait. We've all been there, giving our energy to connections that didn't honor ours, and watching friends do the same. And honestly, we all deserve better. That's why Bumble is built for intentional dating. Safety is such a big deal for us all, especially when meeting new people. And Bumble gives you the peace of mind with options like photo and ID verification. That little extra step means you know the person you're talking to is who they say they are, with their real photos,
and they are ready to show up authentically.
And once you feel safe,
you can actually focus on what matters,
finding someone who gets you.
With shared interests,
it's easy to see right away who vibes with your passions,
whether that's true crime podcasts,
yoga mornings, or weekend hikes.
So take a pause,
affirm your worth, and protect your peace.
Bumble helps you create safe, meaningful connections,
the kind that truly respect your boundaries,
your energy, and your time.
Thinking about dating again,
Take this as your sign.
Start your love story on Bumble.
On the podcast Health Stuff,
we are tackling all the health questions
that keep you up at night.
Yes, I'm Dr. Priyanka Wally,
a double board certified physician.
And I'm Hurricane Dabolu,
a comedian and someone who once Googled,
Do I have scurvy at 3 a.m?
On Health Stuff, we're talking about health
in a different way.
It's not only about what we can do
to improve our health,
but also what our health says about us
and the way we're living.
Like our episode where we look at
Diabetes. In the United States, I mean, 50% of Americans are pre-diabetic.
How preventable is type 2?
Extremely. Or our in-depth analysis of how incredible mangoes are.
Oh, it's hard to explain to the rest of the world that you, like, your mangoes are fine because
mangoes are incredible, but like, you don't even know.
You don't know. You don't know.
It's going to be a fun ride. So tune in.

The forces shaping the world's economies and financial markets can be hard to spot.
Even though they are such a powerful player in finance, you wouldn't really know that you are interacting with them.
And even harder to understand.
Donald Trump's trade war, 2.0, is only accelerating the process of de-dollarization,
which in a way is jargon for people turning away from the world.
dollar. That is where the big take from Bloomberg podcast comes in, to connect the dots.
How unusual is a deal like this? Unprecedented. Every weekday afternoon, we dive deep into
one big global business story. The biggest story of the reaction of the oil market to the
conflict in the Middle East is one of what has not happened. Katie, you told me that
ETFs are your favorite thing. They are. Explain that. Why is that the case? And unpack what it
means for you. Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples, and so they sort of become
outsize indicators of inflation. Listen to the big take from Bloomberg News every weekday afternoon
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
She said, Johnny, the kids didn't come home last night. Along the central Texas plains,

and brutal murders.
In what seems to be,
a plot ripped straight out of breaking bad.
Drugs, alcohol, trafficking of people.
There are people out there that absolutely know what happened.

called business history about the best ideas and people and businesses in history.
And some of the worst people, horrible ideas and destructive companies in the history of business.
Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like not having it at all.
It's a very simple, elegant lesson. Make something people want.
First episode, How Southwest Airlines Use Cheap Seats and Free Whiskey to fight its way into the airline business.
The most Texas story ever.
There's a lot of mavericks in that story.
We're going to have mavericks on the show.
We're going to have plenty of robber barons.
So many robber barons.
And you know what?
They're not all bad.
And we'll talk about some of the classic great moments of famous business geniuses,
along with some of the darker moments that often get overlooked.
Like Thomas Edison and the electric chair.
Listen to business history on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Okay, here we go.
It's a tell all panels and love story rewatches.
I'm assuming you're going to be a part of that.
Yeah.
One of the successful love stories to come out of the Bachelor world,
you're going to definitely be a part of that.
Nightly cocktail parties with Bachelor favorites.
I could see us being a part of that.
Legendary episode screenings.
So some of the moments where some of your most iconic memories from the show are air.
and some of the people are on board talking about it.
There's going to be a sale away welcome party
hosted by, of course, Jesse Palmer,
live podcasts with Kathy and Susan,
fitness classes with Tyler Cameron.
There's something called Zen cursing with Sandra Mason.
And then we're having,
it feels like this dude has to be making a living on this show.
Jared Freed is going to be on the ship as well,
doing some shows and some live events.
That guy is everywhere right now when it comes to the match.
He's everywhere.
No, he's a bachelor super fan.
Obviously a funny comedian.
He does a good job of having that
unique relief for the show.
But I'm with you.
I feel like the thing I'll definitely be a part of.
I always love the opportunity to look back on Kelsey and my love story
and to be able to share that with a fan.
So that will be amazing.
And anytime there's a cocktail hour that me and you can go be a part of,
I think that's going to be a good time.
He'll bring Wells too and he'll probably be helping pour the drinks.
and I think we'll just have a good time on that one too.
I have an idea for us, Joey.
What if you, Wells, and I, I think,
I don't know if Dean is a part of this or not,
but any golfers, what if we did like a,
because there's a really cool miniature golf course,
what if we hosted a tournament one day?
Let's do that.
Let's put that on the list.
Let's see if there's some interest in that.
But I think Dean's going to be there as well,
and that would be perfect, dude.
We can all draft our own teams and have some fun at that.
That would be good.
like this. I like this idea. All right, we'll talk about it. You can book your tickets now at
bachelor nation vacation at sea.com. Again, that's bachelor nation vacation at sea.com. I'm also assuming
there's going to be more people announced as we get closer to the cruise. We had our first big wave
of incredible people announced. And now we'll kind of start, you know, waterfalling some more names
into this. So stay tuned for more of your favorites from Bachelor Nation to announce that they're
going to come on the ship. Joey, in closing here, you have started Dancing with the Stars podcast.
You got to go out there and check it out, everybody listening to this. I mean, in like a 30-second
snippet here, tell us what it's been like hosting this show so far. What have you enjoyed? What have you
learned along the way?
It's just fun, man, to be back into the dance with the stars world.
I think really what I've learned is this season's amazing.
There's some great celebrities and obviously the pros are stars themselves.
But competition's been awesome.
And the coolest part about the show is it just gives me an ability to shine light on parts of the show that people don't always see.
Like all the behind the scene stuff that goes on with the pros and the celebrities,
but then also the production crew, the hair makeup team.
We talked to the music director this week.
So there's just a lot of different facets.
that make that live show special, and I think it's a really good way to just have access
and learn more about the show every single week. It's really set up to be kind of like
the live after show, so people have an ability to understand what's going on from the
eliminated couples to anything going on with the show. It's obviously a huge hit right now.
The show is, and your podcast is as well. Again, go check out Joey as he hosts the Dancing
with the Stars podcast. Finally, some nice.
names that have already been announced for this Bachelor Nation cruise. Jesse Palmer, Wells Adams,
Hannah Brown, Kelsey Anderson, Tyler Cameron, Jill Chin, Spencer and Jess, uh, Joey, obviously
massive, massive name. He's probably sold out to Cruz alone. Mike Johnson, Charity Lawson,
Sean Lowe, Catherine Lowe, Blake Moyne, Susan Knowles, Dotton, Katie and Zach, Ryan and Trista,
Kathy, Joan, goodness, gracious, I can go on and on.
This group is spectacular and so many great people to be around.
I'm excited to be a part of it.
Again, Bachelor Nation Vacation.com to book your tickets.
Let's have a blast.
Joey, thanks for joining us today.
Best of luck with everything.
You're a busy man doing great things.
Keep it up.
Thank you, man.
Appreciate having me on.
And, yeah, can't wait for the cruise.
Everyone's going to be some fun.
Let's have a good time.
