Starting point is 00:02:45 We're here with The Almost Famous Podcast. This week, we don't have a lot of headlines, but we do have some important ones, some big ones. We have a lot of pregnancy announcements. There we go. Let's start with the pregnancy announcements. The first one is pregnant Bachelor alum, Madison, Reveal sex of her baby with husband Grant.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Yeah, so last week we talked about, of course, your baby to be and yours. Oh. Yeah. And how you guys are having a girl. Wait, did you say that? Yeah, we did say that. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:03:22 So it's a girl. And then Maddie on the same day announced that she was pregnant. And now she's telling us that it is also a girl. And now in the other, the pregnancy headlines is just going for it. Tia Booth is pregnant as well, but we do not know the sex of that baby yet. Didn't she just have a baby? Um, I think the age difference is going to be the exact same as Dawson. And, um, seriously?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Yeah. Yeah, because Tatum is, I think, a year and a half. So maybe they'll be a little bit less than. two and a half years. Interesting. Yeah, maybe two years. That's big news for both of them. Something I'm sure Bachelor Nation is very excited about,
Starting point is 00:04:08 but also something we're very excited about here. It's the almost famous podcast. Babies are being made. Why do you think that is, Ashley? Because a lot of us are married now? I don't know. That's probably true. It's probably a good point.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Because we're all growing up, Ben. We're all growing up. And we're, you know, multiplying. We're being fruitful and multiplying our families, right? Yeah. No, that's it. That's all you got. Yeah. Like a little giggle. Okay, cool. Yeah. Why do you have like another reasoning why we're multiplying? No, I think it's love is in the air. I think everybody's really excited about bringing kids into this world. And so is Jenna Cooper, by the way, guys. Jenna Cooper, who we all remember from Bachelor in Paradise. She is also pregnant. Baby Hudson is coming
Starting point is 00:04:59 February 2020 I mean all these And they She already has a daughter Presley Is it a thing to like Say the name And the sex early
Starting point is 00:05:08 Is it a thing To give them both In the same of announcement? Yeah I thought the name Was like always Save her after the birth We didn't with Dawson
Starting point is 00:05:18 With Dawson we announced his name Because we had a nice little Partnerships with Amazon Yeah That'd be good But if it weren't for the partnership With Amazon And yeah we would have
Starting point is 00:05:28 somebody pays me enough money i'll say the name okay deal that's what i we were so set on dawson's name that we would have always said it early that would have been fine it would have been totally it was just set the kids got to go to college so like you pay me now you know you can amazon can be responsible for all college funds that's great that's what i say i'm like whenever anybody gives me crap i'm like guys this baby is yes yes the baby the baby could go to college now um but also you know what makes me feel guilty there's this book in dawson dawson's room now that is like an alphabet book but it says d is for dominic because for a while we were going to name the kid dominic so at my baby sprinkles somebody gave me a book that is
Starting point is 00:06:16 d is for dominic and now i look at it and i feel guilty yeah you should you're going to miss that kid up forever For them spending money on a book That doesn't have anything to do with Hayden's name And it also makes me feel weird Because it's like one day Hayden And both of them are going to look at it It's like D is for Dominic Grandpa's name
Starting point is 00:06:37 And you don't matter That's what you should say And because of that you don't matter You're going to really ruin your kid's mind Are you with like all your dry sarcasm I can't wait It's a girl You can't mess with her like that
Starting point is 00:06:53 I know I won't either She's gonna have me like literally Yeah the girl's gonna literally have me just like crying Like tears of joy Tears of all things all the time She's like dad is a mess Like when she grows up her trauma is gonna be like My dad was just like really teary-eyed all the time
Starting point is 00:07:13 Like I don't really He never really said much He never really did much He just cried And then I'd be like yeah That was the only thing I could do Too cute. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Something we call it. Issues. A, the biggest headline of the week, though. No, babies are huge. Like, new life in this world is massive. But the headline, like, really covering all headlines, like going across news stations, all of Instagram, every single thing I pull up.
Starting point is 00:07:44 It's Twitter. It's Caitlin Bristow. And I have a lot of thoughts on this. And I want to hear yours first, though. Caitlin Bristow insinuate she reached out to Tasha Adams. after going on a date with Zach Clark. Now, here's the deal. To say this headline is to make assumptions
Starting point is 00:07:59 because Caitlin does do this interview that Ashley will tell us about. She doesn't really say Tasha's name. But let's be clear. It's very clear to everybody she's talking about Tasha. So, Ashley, take it away. So on Sunday, an episode of the Betches podcast, You Up, was released.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And Caitlin said, I went on a date with someone from the franchise and I reached out to the girl that he used to be with. She and I hadn't talked in months and no, we're not friends. We probably look like friends on the outside, but we're not. That's
Starting point is 00:08:35 what makes it seem like it's Tasia. Is that what makes it seem like it's Tasia? Okay, there's lots of things that makes it seem like it's Tasia. Because we all kind of know, even though it's not out there, like, they haven't released this information, but
Starting point is 00:08:50 like that Zach and and Caitlin have had something in the past, currently have something going on romantically, but neither of them have ever confirmed it. So there's step number one. It's probably a recent story. It's step number two in it being probably Tasia. And then what I'm saying here is that it looks like we're friends,
Starting point is 00:09:15 but we're not. And that would be because the two of them hosted the show together, but obviously they were just work friends. And not real friends or co-workers, as you want to call it, not real friends. And then what happens else in the situation that she's talking about on the podcast? She goes, I asked, you know, what the girl's thoughts were. And she didn't text or plow me back. She called me and she said, you're a bad person.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I've always known this. And your true colors are showing now. So obviously the girl did not support Caitlin pursuing anything with the guy who reached out to her, whoever this guy might be from Bachelor Nation. And that is the story that Caitlin told on this podcast. And of course, everybody is buzzing because it seems as if it's like kind of step one in Caitlin and Zach perhaps becoming a public couple. I don't know. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Maybe not. Because if she wasn't comfortable with them being a public couple, I don't think she would have. told this story, or soon to be a public couple. I don't know. Ben, what is your take on this? Well, part of it is my take. I mean, that's the big question. Because there's a lot to this that I think we can have takes on.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Like, what part do you want my necessarily opinion on? Because we've made no secret here. And I will never back down on this. I care a lot about Caitlin Bristow. I think she is somebody that will always have a, like, a part of my life no matter if it's really far distance or not like she's somebody that obviously not only because she was the bachelor out on this season but because i've gotten to know her outside of it oh my gosh yeah oh i forgot a critical element of the podcast episode well keep going then so she said
Starting point is 00:11:09 the girl said you're a bad person in reference to kately and then katelyn got so mad at that comment that she said that made me really want to send her a picture of me his. Yeah, I'd break it down like this. Again, I think Caitlin has one of the most extremely loyal hearts or like characters. I won't say hearts. I don't know what that means.
Starting point is 00:11:37 She is extremely loyal until you cross her. And I think people, and I think Caitlin has easily crossed. And I'm giving this, like, I'm saying this like I would say it to Caitlin. She gets crossed really quickly. Instead of taking the time to, like, you know, wade through these waters and push some things aside that would be offensive and probably be like, hey, yeah, Tasha, like, that comment hurts me. You have no longer, like, I'm no longer, like, really respecting your opinion in this relationship. And just pushing that aside, that still sits with her because she, Tasha crossed her.
Starting point is 00:12:14 And as a result, Caitlin is going to make sure that somebody knows that Tasha crossed her. I don't think that's a healthy way to live life. I don't think that ends anywhere well unless you're making a headline and this becomes a headline. Headlines work in this world. There's no way. She didn't think this would become a headline.
Starting point is 00:12:38 No way. Caitlin's really smart. So my other side of this is like, Caitlin's really intelligent. She is. Nobody would ever doubt Caitlin Bristow's intelligence and ability to navigate the meteor world. She's great at it. Let's never assume.
Starting point is 00:12:50 assume for a second she doesn't know what she's doing. She knows this is going to be controversial. And so she's willing to take the heat. Like she has to be. And if she's not, then that's a whole other conversation. But I know Caitlin and you know Caitlin. And I want to assume that Caitlin knows that she's going to take some heat for this. But it's also going to become a headline. And it's going to be something. And that and having something out there helps, right? People, you know, in this world do well making headlines. It's kind of the thing. Right. Would I have done this? Do I think it would it been
Starting point is 00:13:23 Not would I have done this? I might have done it. I don't like when people cross me either. Would I advise my friends to do this? Would probably be the better way to say that. After you like when I'm, no. I wouldn't. However, do I think she was in the wrong?
Starting point is 00:13:38 No, I don't. In the wrong for telling the story or in the wrong for reaching out to Tasia? Ooh. I think she was not the wrong for, reaching out to Tayshah. Obviously she was not in the wrong for reaching out to Tadia. Yeah, but she, when you reach out to somebody, you have to expect both sides. You have to expect somebody to be upset about it. You don't have to also like respond to it or hold it
Starting point is 00:14:04 like hold it in a responsible manner. You don't have to react in the way that the person wants you react. But telling Tasha was probably like was definitely the right thing to do. Yeah, of course. I don't even know why I asked that question. I suppose we don't even know. We don't even know what she decided to do right yeah we do yeah she did okay so there are some photos so yeah she did she insinuates that perhaps um there is philatio that is yeah like there's still an ability to send a picture of that yes yes so um based on the fact that she didn't like follow tasha's wishes is no wrong yeah there's no problem that. No problem with that.
Starting point is 00:14:56 My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That sounds totally inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not? To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, my name is Enya Yumanzoor.
Starting point is 00:15:48 And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. Hola, it's Honey German And my podcast Grasasas Come Again is back This season we're going even deeper Into the world of music and entertainment With raw and honest conversations
Starting point is 00:16:26 With some of your favorite Latin artists and celebrities You didn't have to audition? No, I didn't audition. I haven't audition in like over 25 years. Oh, wow. That's a real G-talk right there. Oh, yeah. We've got some of the biggest actors, musicians,
Starting point is 00:16:39 content creators, and culture shifters sharing their real stories of failure and success. You were destined to be a star. We talk all about what's viral and trending with a little bit of chisement, a lot of laughs, and those amazing vibras you've come to expect. And, of course, we'll explore deeper topics dealing with identity, struggles,
Starting point is 00:17:01 and all the issues affecting our Latin community. You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do the code switching? I won't say whitewash, because at the end of the day, you know, I'm me. Yeah? But the whole pretending and code, you know, it takes a toll on you.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Listen to the new season of Grasas has come again, as part of My Cultura Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. A foot washed up a shoe with some bones in it. They had no idea who it was. Most everything was burned up pretty good from the fire that not a whole lot was salvageable.
Starting point is 00:17:34 These are the coldest of cold cases, but everything is about to change. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. A small lab in Texas is cracking the code on DNA. Using new scientific tools, they're finding clues in evidence so tiny you might just miss it. He never thought he was going to get caught.
Starting point is 00:17:58 And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. On America's Crime Lab, we'll learn about victims and survivors. And you'll meet the team behind the scenes at Othrum, the Houston Lab that takes on the most hopeless cases, to finally solve the unsolvable. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, I'm Jenna Lopez, and in the new season of the Overcomfit podcast, I'm taking you on an exciting journey of self-reflection.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Am I ready to enter this new part of my life? Like, am I ready to be in a relationship? Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and my time? I wanted to be successful on my own, not just because of who my mom is. Like, I felt like I needed to be better. or work twice as hard as she did. Join me for conversations about healing and growth. Life is freaking hard.
Starting point is 00:18:52 And growth doesn't happen in comfort. It happened in motion, even when you're hurting. All from one of my favorite spaces, The Kitchen. Honestly, these are going to come out so freaking amazing. Be a part of my new chapter and listen to the new season of the Overcumper podcast as part of the MyCultura podcast network on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. But she told Tasia.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Now, was she in the wrong for telling me a story? Yeah, probably. I would tell, and like, I'm okay if Caitlin sees this and reads this. I don't think that was the right decision. I don't. I wouldn't stand behind that and say, Caitlin, you did the right thing by telling the world that this is how it went down.
Starting point is 00:19:41 You can tell your friends, you can tell your family, your confidons, whatever. was it right till the world probably not because what it's going to do is it's going to cause cause controversy however if katelyn was prepared for the headlines and for the heat then i don't know like that's what she wanted she prepared for it she knew it and like i said katelyn's really smart and so i would be shocked if she was like i'm going to say this and nobody's going to care like i don't think katelyn thinks that way um she doesn't and so was this was this a mistake she made?
Starting point is 00:20:16 I can't say that yet. She can't say that yet. We don't know how this plays out. It's going to be fine. It's just going to blow over. It's just going to, you know, she's just going to have to handle a lot of incoming opinions for the next week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:30 I just, I don't know how Caitlin does with that. I mean, here's what Caitlin needs to know. Caitlin needs to know people love her and they love her because of these moments. She's honest and she's vulnerable and she says some crazy stuff that makes you go, whoa, that's wild. I would never say that publicly. Does that mean it's right or wrong? I don't know. I'm not doing to judge that or even say that. Is it going to bring Tasha into the picture again a little bit? But like Tasha doesn't need to respond to this, right? Her response has already been given by how she, you know, talked about the first time. I wonder what Zach's response is. That's the person. That's where I was getting is I think the person that puts in the weirdest position is Zach because Zach maybe never asked for any of this.
Starting point is 00:21:13 And Zach has been very private kind of since the show on everything he's done, except his mission to alleviate people who, you know, or to support people who are struggling with addiction. So that puts him in a weird space. But that's more of a Caitlin and Zach conversation than anybody else is. So that's why I was insinuating before that this seems like it's almost like a soft launch. because I don't know that. What a wild way to do a soft launch.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Well, I don't think she would tell the story if they were not together. Or is this kind of like a slap and they're not together? That's a good question. Because it seems like as if in my interpretation, it seems like this was a story that she had approved,
Starting point is 00:22:08 she had gotten approval from him. There's zero chance that she called up Zach and was like, hey, here's a deal. I'm going on this podcast and I am going to talk about the story. And this is, I'm going to say, all this story is fine until she's like, you know what it made we want to do? The dick part. Oh, yeah, 100%. And then it was like, whoa.
Starting point is 00:22:27 All right. Well, that's a little vendetta, like a little vindictive. That's pretty crazy. Caitlin, that's wild. Like you're not only like admitting to the fact that you're like still with this dude. you're also being like, I want to make sure she knows that I am with this dude.
Starting point is 00:22:44 That was the part to put it over the edge. Everything else is fine. Everything else is a story. Everything else is a true, like is how the events occurred from her perspective. It was that part that put it over the edge. I would be shocked.
Starting point is 00:22:58 And I'm cool being wrong. I'll get the text from Caitlin. And like, I'll want her to tell me. I'll be shocked if Zach was like, I'm cool if that part is said. Of that part. it felt like something she said in a Caitlin Bristow type way to make somebody laugh to make it like a little controversial and it just is how Caitlin talks now people need to know that that's just
Starting point is 00:23:22 like sometimes Caitlin says things that you're like that's just like Caitlin and is it right? I don't know again you either like or you don't but that just felt like a moment where Caitlin was getting way too comfortable in the moment and said something that at the end of the day she'll look back on and be like, I probably could have not said that. So does that make you think that they are more likely together or more likely broken up? Together. Together. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yeah. Together. You gave me a look when I said that as if you're like, I'm not so sure. I just don't. Well, I think my whole point was I don't think Zach knew this was coming. Okay. So you, okay. I keep throwing it to you because I definitely don't want to talk about my, I don't want to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Well, here's a deal. At the end of the day, like none, neither. you or I are shocked by this interview because it's Caitlin. And again, we appreciate love and respect Caitlin. Now, do we think this was the right move for her to make? I would say, no, it wouldn't be how I advise a friend to have an interview. Does that mean that Caitlin would have to listen to me? I don't know. I don't think she would probably even call me to ask in my opinion. However, I do think she's very savvy and very smart. And so I want to give her the benefit of the doubt to say she knew that that comment was going to cause controversy.
Starting point is 00:24:42 And she was prepared, I hope, for that controversy to exist. Now, it's going to spit her out, like you said. In two weeks, it's going to be a nothing and she's going to be fine. But I hope that Kate, like, if Caitlin comes to us on an interview or text, I didn't know that that statement was going to cause controversy, I'd say, Caitlin, we have a lot to figure out and talk about. Like, how are you so unprepared for that moment? But we like Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:25:07 she's funny and people like her because she says this kind of stuff it is so funny and it's like just brings you back to how she introduced herself to Chris Souls
Starting point is 00:25:17 I'd let you plow the fuck out of my field yeah just Caitlin like you just it's Caitlin Bristow so you like it or you don't I don't know
Starting point is 00:25:28 what to tell you now it does put Tasha in a semi weird position I just feel like Tasha doesn't even need to respond because it's over and she's fine does put Zach
Starting point is 00:25:37 I think in a really weird position. However, her and Caitlin might figure it out, and that's great. Him and Caitlin might figure it out, and that's great. It's just a big headline, and it was a wild thing to say, and we're not used to. Let's be clear, nor do I think we ever should get used to. We're not used to somebody being this detailed, blunt in an interview. Now, what's interesting is that this headline comes from a podcast that's not Caitlin's.
Starting point is 00:26:07 would she not have said it on there? Why would she say it on there and not her not give promotion to her own podcast? I think she was probably just like pretty comfortable and they obviously asked a question that led her into that story. Um, but like, you know, you and I deal with this sometimes to this podcast where people will say something and then they don't want it in there. And then you debate whether you keep it in there or not. Most of the time we say no, we'll take it out. We're usually pretty, we're too nice about it. But in this case, I wonder if you blurt this out and you tell the story because you're feeling sassy or you had a couple drinks, who knows? And then you're like, oh, crap. That's how a headline is made on a podcast. It's not your own. Yeah. If I was Caitlin, I would definitely be saying
Starting point is 00:26:57 that on the almost famous podcast, which is why my wife and I will be doing our whole first baby interview this Wednesday on the almost famous podcast. So, you can do it in until let's do it here. All right, guys. Well, until next time, I've been Ashley. And I've been Ben. And those are our juicy headlines. Bye.

Like, am I ready to be in a relationship?
Starting point is 00:29:31 Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and my time? Join me for conversations about healing and growth, all from one of my favorite spaces, The Kitchen. Listen to the new season of the Overcombered podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Do we really need another podcast with a condescending finance brof trying to tell us how to spend our own money? No thank you. Instead, check out Brown Ambition. Each week, I, your host, Mandy Money, gives you real talk, real advice with a heavy dose of I, feel you, sis, like on Fridays when I take your questions for the BAQA.
Starting point is 00:30:08 Whether you're trying to invest for your future, navigate a toxic workplace, I got you. Listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. This is an IHeart podcast.
