The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Hey everyone. This is Teddy Mellencamp. And Tamara Judge from Two T's in a Pod.
There's been one scandal that's consumed our lives these last couple of months.
We're recapping the three parts Summer House reunion. And as always, we're being brutally
honest. We're dissecting timelines, receipts, blind items, and previous episodes.
Amanda and Wes, watch out. We're not getting to be easy on you. Listen to Two T's in a Pod on
the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

What would you eat if you had to start over?
Real simple, poor man's, poor woman's food.
Black beans, chicken, rice.
Plantains.
On the podcast Eating While Broke, I sit down with celebrities, entrepreneurs, and creators
as they revisit the meals they once relied on in the moments that shaped their journey.
Named Best Food Podcasts at the 2006 IHeart Podcast Awards,
the full season is available to binge.
Right now, listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app,

This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey, everyone.
Welcome to the Almost Famous podcast.
I'm here with Whitney Frenzley.
And I'm so excited to get chatting with her because she and I are both Bachelor alum that are now Bravo.
I don't know, not, I don't go say stars.
I don't know what we call each other.
We're not like contestants anymore.
We're just, we're on a show.
We're a part of the Bravo family.
now. Part of the Bravo family. That's right. Yeah. Bravo Labs. That's what it is.
So Whitney, first let's go like revisit where we know you from originally, which is Nick's season of
the Bachelor. And then you created a great crew of girls from that season. And then did you do Paradise?
For a hot minute. I feel like I don't really count it. I made an appearance on Paradise.
But every guy wanted you there. So how was it just an appearance?
I had a weird situation where Connor was somebody who I was interested in and he ended up taking himself out early and there was like this whole little like cat and mouse game of us like finally meeting up after he left Paradise.
So I walked down to the beach he wasn't there and then we kind of connected after that.
Okay. So the Dean and Kalin mess of it all kind of delayed your entrance perhaps?
Yeah, I feel like there was a lot happening.
So I don't know.
I guess like I was on Paradise, but I feel like I wasn't.
That makes sense.
And who are you close to in the franchise still?
I'm still really close to Rachel Lindsay and Christina Shulman, like Alexis Waters,
that kind of group of girls.
I feel like the same with your season.
And I feel like we both had really tight-knit girl gangs that like came out of our seasons.
Yes. Yeah. When I think of the other like girl gang, I feel like it's yours.
Have you kept in touch with Nick at all? Have you done his podcast yet?
I have not done his podcast. We didn't keep in touch. I feel like we, you know, bumped into each other a little bit after. But nothing crazy where we like really stayed in touch after the show.
Okay. So your boyfriend gets, you've been dating him for how long now? Because when did you film in the city?
Yeah, we filmed in the city in the fall
And we'd been dating since the fall before that
That's like when we started kind of like going on our first dates
So it's been like I guess over a year and a half, two years
Okay, yeah
So when you started dating Kenny
Did you know that he was involved with the summerhouse crew
Because just for our audience out there
Like in the city is the spin off to
summer house. So it's basically like they go and do summer in the Hamptons and then in the fall
you guys are going to be filming in the city. Right. Yeah. So one of Penny's best friends, Gavin,
is on the show. And I didn't know that he was like so integrated and kind of new like Lindsay and
Kyle and was an investor in Lover Boy. I obviously like started to get to know that as this conversation
came up. But I wasn't really sure about doing the show at first. You know, having done TV before, I just wasn't really sure if it was in like the cards for me. But it's honestly been a really fun process so far.
So they asked him first. Yes. To be on the show. And then when did they start to be interested in having you on with him?
It was pretty much at the same time. At the beginning, it was, well, because the show,
is so different than Summerhouse, right? It's about couples in their, and like some singles in
closer to their 40s and in their early 40s, navigating relationship and in the city and friendship.
And, you know, it's not really as much of like a party show as Summerhouse. So with it being
focused on relationships, it was kind of like a package deal. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah. What was your
initial take. Were you like, oh yeah, I'm down? Are you a little hesitant? Because Jared and I were a bit
hesitant going over to Bravo, which just definitely feels like they're after drama more, whereas we came
from a show where, yeah, drama is definitely a part of it. But like, love is number one.
Totally. Like on The Bachelor, you're in a bubble. You're not in reality. You're like, you don't have
your phone. Like, you're so much in this, like, love bubble talking about relationships. Like,
this exactly like your show it's like oh like you have to open up like your whole life and it's like are
you willing to do that and like do you think you do that because if you're not going to it's not going to
it's not going to benefit the show it's not going to benefit you it's not going to benefit anybody so
i just wasn't really sure i'm like do i want to let people in that much in my life and really put
everything out there. And I think, yeah, like relationships on reality TV, that can also be a little
scary. But I just felt like ultimately, Kenny and I had a lot of good conversations about it.
And we have really good communication with each other. And it just felt like, you know what,
why not? Like, we're on the same page. And they kind of, after talking to the producers and like
the casting directors and the exacts about the show and what it was, they were really reassuring that
they want us to be portrayed as ourselves.
So it made me feel a little bit more comfortable about it.
Yeah.
I keep thinking the producers because I was super skeptical last summer about how they would make
me look, you know, coming from Bachelor where, you know, you live it and then you see
such a small portion of what you lived on TV and you're like, yeah, did that?
I always say that Bachelor was kind of like a caricature of me.
And I loved the caricature was wonderful.
and like I had fun with it.
But I was also just going into housewise thinking, you know,
how am I going to look like myself, right?
And I'm like, you know what?
I look like myself.
Thank you very much.
I'm surprised.
Yeah, I feel like they do a great job.
And obviously there are like there's so much more that they don't,
they don't have time for everything, right?
And like so much that I'm sure that happened when you film.
Of course.
You just can't know everything.
But I do have to say I did pull.
and Ashley I and I cry multiple times this episode this week.
This week, this episode three.
Which nice is like you and I are now,
we get to see our episode a couple days before it airs.
We'll ask you about your episode in a little bit.
Okay.
First I want to know if you watched Summerhouse.
Did you watch his friends on there?
So I had seen a little bit of Summerhouse here and there.
I feel like I kind of started watching the last couple, like,
seasons of Summerhouse, but kind of like not super intentionally, right? Like SummerHouse is kind of one of
those shows. You can have other things on at the same time and be doing things. So I had definitely
seen the show before and understood, uh, some of the dynamics that it was walking into.
Okay. Well, dynamics. Lindsay Hubbard is obviously a huge star from Bravo for past like 10 years
and definitely one of the figureheads in this series.
And she seems to right off the bat have a problem with you and Kenny moving in so quickly.
But it's not like we know that they've had like this strong friendship.
So how did that feel to have somebody that is very popular take issue with your situation quickly?
Yeah, I mean, I would say that her and Kenny have been acquaintances.
It's not like they were like best friends going into the show.
or anything by means.
And me walking into this new group of people who have established relationships
and all this history, it's definitely intimidating.
So I feel like I was really just kind of taking in like what was going on.
You can go almost to kind of see on my face.
I'm like, okay, like, wait, what?
Like, where is this coming from?
Like, is this like her trying to be a girl's girl?
Is this?
And then like the more like it's unfolding.
I'm like, if you're a girl's girl, you would just kind of pull me aside and ask me questions.
Like, I barely have had a conversation with her at this point.
And she's kind of like questioning with, it feels like judgment, you know, like some kind of like interrogation versus being like, oh, like, you know, like having my best interest in pulling me aside.
Yeah, like, did you wonder why she was so opinionated about you guys moving together,
without a ring? I feel like it's kind of common. Yeah, I feel like it's common. Obviously,
it was a huge move, right? Like, I moved across the country for love. So a little bit more on the
line. It felt like a little bit of a scarier move for me. But she, yeah, I'm just like, I obviously
know a little bit of her story at this point. And I'm like, this feels like a little bit of
projection. You know, we're all like a little bit jaded by our own life experiences. And so I'm like,
is she just like projecting her own thing? It's just like coming off really harsh though.
Yeah, that's interesting.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed.
First people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast.
People could call in and say, hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive.

and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted

This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us.
The United States will not stand by and allow any power, however great, take over another country.
From IHeart Podcast, Saigon.
Please allow me to introduce Joseph Sherman.
You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnamese.
I should stop talking so much.
I like hearing you talk.
One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart.
This is for Vietnam.
I've taken a hit from Japanese ground fire.
Do you rate me?
They're pouring petrol all over him.
He's holding matches.
I'm on a landmine.
For free time.
Let's get out.
Freedom from Vietnam.
Sun!
Saigon, starring Kelly Marie Tran and Rob Benedict.
Sting, here's madness.
The world should hear of here.
about this.
There's a fire coming to this country and it's going to burn out everything.
Listen to Saigon on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So you in this upcoming episode kind of have a moment with her and with the big, the group.
And you're hoping that this hang is going to like get you closer to them.
But it feels like it's just making you emotional and you feel like you kind of have.
a target?
Don't necessarily feel like I have a target, but obviously, like,
he has a strong personality and Lindsay has a strong personality.
So they're like starting off budding heads.
And then, you know, I'm kind of like, oh, I'm not used to this kind of like intense dynamic
plus like intense personality.
You and I are basically in the exact same situation on different Bravo shows.
Because we're the new ones in the group.
And then we just don't know how.
to deal with these personalities outside of crying.
Yeah, I mean, we can so relate because it's like we're stepping into like these,
these groups of friends that have so much history and have known each other.
So it's like you're kind of trying to learn your place and like see what you get along with
and like understand everyone and like really like feel off dynamics in person.
But like especially in your 30s like it's weird trying to make new friends.
Right.
And I was going through this like transitionary time to.
with like, you know, starting a company, like moving across like the country and like
in golf, like doing this situation and like trying to make friends. So I feel like everything was
really heightened, which I'm sure you can relate to, where just so much going on. And I just felt
like really fragile about so much new transition and like newness in my life. So I feel like
when there's all these dynamics of like people fighting and like not being a smooth entrance to
the friend group. It's just a little overwhelming. Of course. I feel you more than I feel like
anyone can. Please like text me anytime you're filming. I'm sure this will be getting in another
season because people like love, you know, members of your cast. So well, now I gotta know,
like New York or L.A. after the big move and you've been there for almost a year.
how are you how you simulating i honestly love it i feel like it's so fun to be in the city and to be out and about
there's so much more happening and like it's super motivating inspiring here you know you can kind
of be in your own little bubble in l.a um so i think it's really good to even though it's scary in the
transition scary like it's good to put yourself in a little bit of an uncomfortable situation to
grow. Look like my friends in L.A. are still there. They're still my best friends. But it's good to
kind of make yourself a little uncomfortable to grow. So that's where I feel like I'm kind of in this
like blooming like stage right now, still in New York. Okay, good. When you are out with the group
and they are, you know, making all these comments about Kenny and your relationship,
Do any of this make you feel any like trepidation about the situation you put yourself in?
As far as like your relationship.
My relationship.
I would say more of like your relationship.
Were you like getting any, were you worried that red flags are popping up?
I mean, I think at this point like Kenny and I have kind of talked about most things and kind of had an untraditional start to our relationship.
And you'll kind of see a little bit more of that unfold.
as the season goes on.
But he was going through something
that made our relationship a little bit untraditional,
I think, with how it started.
So me moving here and taking that stuff
was like a huge deal and a huge step forward
and like a huge intentional commitment.
But, you know, as you get older,
you have these scars from like previous relationships, right,
that come up that can be like triggers.
So especially in this week's episode, there is something that comes up that makes me question.
Even though I feel so solid with him, I'm like, wait, could this be?
I don't want to be that naive girl that's moving across the country for love.
And I'm missing something, you know, like was Lindsay right?
Like I started kind of spiraling like, oh my gosh, I just need to talk to Kenny.
So you'll see that in this episode.
How did you guys meet?
So we actually met through a dating app.
And it wasn't until like six months later, two falls ago, that we, I was in the city and we went out in person.
Okay.
And then it was long distance for a while?
It was long distance for a while.
I was like coming to New York.
I was also like looking at moving here already before we started dating.
So I was spending more time here and that's why I was here and we ended up connecting.
And then we probably did long distance for like a year, I guess, but officially like more six months, seven months.
He mentioned in one of the episodes that his mom passed away from cancer in the past year and you guys did take a break during that time.
Yeah, I guess that's where I was going with the untraditional.
aspect of it.
He obviously was going through a crazy time with his family.
And, you know, everyone processes something like that differently.
And then plus because he had to be very present.
And it was he was her caretaker a lot of the time that he only had so much capacity, right?
And so we kind of had this conversation after a few months seeing each other.
like I just don't know if I can be who you deserve me to be in this, this moment.
And so he kind of had to take a step back and go through what he did with his close people
and go through his mom passing.
And it wasn't until after that when he reached back out.
I wasn't really sure to be honest if we were going to reconnect.
I felt like we were going to pick up.
But, you know, in that moment, like, all you can really do is, like, release someone and, like, trust, like, the universe of, like, whatever's meant to be will be.
And obviously, it's been amazing.
I feel like if you try to hold on to something so tight, it just never works out.
Yep.
I get that.
Well, I feel so bad for him.
How's he doing now?
Yeah.
I mean, it's been a crazy year.
He is doing good.
there is a lot more that you get to see unfold with his family this year, which will be
exciting for everyone to be a part of and see a glimpse of his life. But I haven't lost one
my parents, so it's super, you can only be so understanding. And there's ups and downs, of course.
Like grief doesn't look linear. So he's doing good, and I feel like he has done a lot of work
on himself. So he's good at processing things and in journaling and talking about things. So,
so yeah, I feel like it's nice that he has need to support him in those moments.

We see you going on a girl date with Danielle.
Any friendships that you've created throughout this that, like, you feel more comfortable
in the group, the group environment now?
Yeah, I think it's like been baby steps.
It's always interesting to see who you gravitate towards, right?
especially with like people's energies in person.
But, you know, I know that there's a lot of opinions out there about certain cast members
and Danielle being one of them.
But I kind of walked into this like just clean slate, right, for me personally.
And I've actually really enjoyed like getting to know Danielle and Lexi and Georgina and like the girls on the show.
You see that I'm like kind of starting to do that.
And Danielle was one of those first conversations.
that she reached out to me and we got some girl time one-on-one.
Wonderful.
Wonderful.
Glad to hear that.
Okay.
So I get asked about the difference between Bachelor and Bravo a lot now.
And I know that we can only say so much, but how would you describe it?
Well, I just think that, like, you're so much in this bubble on the Bachelor, right?
Like, you don't have contact with the outside world and, you know, you're,
you're in this house with people all day long and I feel like you mostly talk about relationships
and like what shaped you in that way in this show like you're opening up your whole life
you know you're opening up all sides of you it's not just relationship it's work it's friendship
it's life of that big life events and like this transitionary time so I feel like they're really
different in that way yeah I agree I agree with there any difference in the
fans that you see? I mean, I feel like they both have really huge, like, cult communities, right?
And I think from my experience with Bachelor and probably yours too, it's very positive. And like,
everyone wants to see everyone win and like everyone wants to see people find love. And it's a little
bit more positive. I think with Bravo, there's a lot more chatter and a lot more opinions shared.
So, like, I haven't really gotten so much of that yet, but I'm sure.
Yeah.
You've only gotten two episodes so far.
So, yeah.
I've noticed that I noticed that the Bachelor audience can be harder on the contestants
in the sense that, like, they want the lead to end up with the perfect person.
So if you're not the one for them, you can be, I feel, like, criticized a little bit more.
Yeah, true.
That's true.
Yeah.
They kind of have their, like, fan favorites.
Whereas I feel like the Bravo people have really strong opinions that they're not afraid to voice.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Yeah, definitely.
A little bit more.
Mm-hmm.
So you and Kenny, you went to Peru in April and you posted a video saying,
they have accidentally gotten married in Peru.
Like what?
Tell us more.
Okay, this is actually a funny story.
So we were in Peru and I'm like, what does one do in Peru that's like, you know,
kind of like something unique to be.
here. And our whole hell had this, Kenny and I are both like spiritual and, um, and they had this
ceremony called like Pasha Mama, which is basically, um, you sit down with this, uh, like Peruvian.
I don't even think it's necessarily like a shaman. It's just something that they do in their
culture. And they have this whole like ceremony that they do, um, like, like getting blessings from
mother nature. And,
And so they have these different like foods and like different things that they symbolize as like abundance or work or love or, you know, different categories in their life.
And it was like an hour long thing.
And we're doing the ceremony and half like almost where it's almost to the end.
It's like 40 minutes in.
And he's like, are you guys married?
And we're like, no.
And he's like, do you want to be?
And we're like, yeah.
So we're sitting there. He's, you know, doing his thing. And we're like all of a sudden, like holding hands with like some different like herbs or something. And like he's like asking mother nature like for their, her blessing basically for us to like be married. And all the sudden he was just like, you may now kiss your wife. And we're like, uh, we just, we didn't even like smile. We were like so in it. And we just like kissed each other. And we just like kiss each other. And we just.
just like look forward and the ceremony went on.
Then after we're like, are we married?
Are we married in Peru?
Yeah, exactly.
So in some cultures, you may be married.
I know.
I'm like, call me Mrs. Martin.
Like, so we joke about it now all the time.
We're not obviously actually married, but it's kind of a funny story.
That sounds like a bachelor date.
Like, does that not sound like something we would do down in paradise?
Yeah.
Totally.
Totally.
How do you think the bachelor prepared you for going on this show?
I think like Bachelor prepared me in the sense of like you kind of like get a little bit,
you know you get used to the cameras, right?
Like you start to like kind of see those melt away and like you start to be more and more
yourself when you start filming, right?
And I think I knew that that was going to happen.
I think it also made me a little bit scared.
I think it made me a little nervous just because I just knew that I had to like have.
my walls down like going into this right and I think I did like for bachelor to some extent um but I also
feel like I was you know I was 24 I think when I did the bachelor and now I'm 34 and so such a difference
in 10 years of just like knowing yourself and being more confident and like being able to be my
full self I think when I was on the bachelor I was a little bit more like protective of my image and
like you know trying to be like sweet and like not be controversial.
or any of those things. Whereas like now being 34, I knew that on Bachelor I was portrayed with
myself, but I didn't show all sides of me. And I went into the show being like, okay, no,
I'm going to, I like need to be my full self and like show everyone all of me because that's like
how they're going to connect to me. Interesting. Mine was actually the opposite. Like mine was a detriment
and a benefit at the same time. I felt like I was more guarded because of the Bachelor.
because I know how things can be like twisted or cut down so that they appear one way versus the other.
So I was very careful on camera with housewives.
Yeah.
I mean, I relate to that too.
I think parts of me like were, especially at the beginning.
Like maybe I wasn't like speaking up as much, especially being with new people.
I can be a little bit more quiet and maybe you go the same.
That was the same.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I can definitely relate.
Yeah.
I can't say if I known everyone, like, if basically I was hanging out with my girl crew from Bachelor and the cameras were around, I probably wouldn't be super unfiltered.
I would, my guard would be a little bit more down, but it's because I can be very introverted when it comes to new people.
Totally.
It takes, like, people, like, a second once you, like, feel them out to, like, get more of those, like, layers peeled back for you to really be yourself.
Yeah, because with these, with these bravo levels.
you know, especially you think, I don't know how they're going to react.
Like, I know how my friends would react to me saying something like this, but I don't know
how they're going to react.
So it's the best that I just don't say anything at all.
Totally.
I'm like, not going to speak my opinion.
I'm like scared of like, you know, rocking the boat, right?
Maybe not as much as the season goes on.
We'll see.
Well, tell everybody where they can find you and where and when they can watch.
