This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHart Radio.
Welcome back to the almost famous podcast.
just the start of the week.
So let's catch you up on everything happening in Bachelor Nations for headlines today.
We have producer Heather with us to break everything down.
She is an expert and the expert that will help us all make sense of the craziness.
This is a wild one.
We'll start with this one, Heather.
Taylor Frankie Paul fires back at former Bachelor Grant Ellis Post alluding to her legal troubles.
Heather, I saw this this weekend.
Yeah, me too.
You know, Grant does what Grant does.
But like this came out of complete nowhere.
And it's like he just started like throwing videos out there that he thought would get the most like attention.
Like Latia for Bachelor.
It's like, what is happening?
That's exactly what I think he was doing.
Right?
Looking for attention.
He posted a video on May 6th that said,
alluding to Taylor's recent legal trouble, writing in text overlay on the video he wrote,
let me get some felonies and become a Mormon so I can get cool with Bachelor Nation laughing,
crying face, which again, like you said, it's like it's coming out of the blue. It's also like
we're over two months now into this saga that we've been facing with Taylor. So it just was
kind of a random thing.
And in the comments of the post,
the saga's almost done.
Like, we're like, I mean, like, they're legal stuff, but like,
where have you been?
Here.
Yeah.
Where have you been, Grant?
In the comments of the post by the fan account, the Mormon Wives report,
they re-shared Grant's video.
And the reality TV star Taylor wrote,
yes, I'm far from a perfect princess bachelorette.
Feel free to tell him I was also.
told I was one of the kindest leads they've had to both cast and crew, heart emoji.
That's how.
So, yeah, I think that was probably a little dig, right?
Like, why would she say that I was the kindest?
Well, she can't say she was the kindest.
I'm here with Bachelor Ben Higgins and I get to work with Ashley I Kennedy.
I think we're two of the kindest people from Bachelor Nation.
Yeah, sure.
Keep that up.
It's the truth.
It's the truth.
But I think that
I think that's maybe a dig of
maybe she heard something about recent
Grant Bachelor season.
Maybe he wasn't too kind.
Maybe he wasn't the easiest to deal with.
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't get it.
I mean, I get the whole thing.
I get what he's trying to do.
But it just feels very late in the game.
It feels to me like what we saw last year, right?
Grant was making videos when the casting for Love Island was open,
saying maybe I should go audition for Love Island.
I think it's just he maybe checks his algorithm on a weekend when he's able to make videos.
And he goes, oh, what's trending right now?
Oh, this.
Okay, I'll go make a video about this.
Okay.
That makes sense.
Former Bachelor divulges staggering amount of money he makes from Cameo alone.
You're not on Cameo, right?
I am.
You are?
Oh, my gosh.
Well, we'll have to get into this because.
because because obviously we're talking about Clayton Eckerd.
He went on She's All Batch podcast last week
and he revealed that he made over $97,000 on cameo in this last year.
Great job for him.
He explained that his viral dance videos on the platform pay more than a full-time job,
which, yeah, around 100 grand a year.
that could be for sure more than a full-time job.
He said, I did 1,300 cameos in the last year,
so you can do the math on that.
Multiply that by $75 a pop.
You can see how much money I made from it.
It's a lot of money,
which she then did the calculations on the air,
and she was very surprised by that.
So he said, and again, why do I have cameos?
Because I was the bachelor.
It brings opportunities.
So I appreciate that I've gotten that from the show.
He also noted that his money-making cameos have allowed him to chase his passions and dance more.
So people are like, all he does is dance all day.
What's his real job?
He said, I'm like, if you guys only knew when I'm ringing in, I'm chilling.
Well, I'm glad he's dancing.
I didn't even think about the fact that this dance, like a hobby that he has or passion that he has.
also he has found a way to monetize it. Good for him.
I was hoping that he was making bank off of these because I don't know anybody personally who's
ever ordered a cameo from Clayton. But man, do those things pop up on my TikTok all the time?
My friend ordered me a TikTok from Clayton and he will do. I mean, that's I guess what
cameo is all about is that you can order him. It's not just a birthday wish. Sometimes I've seen him.
I feel like I've seen him do divorce ones.
I've seen him do other things,
you know, congratulating people.
I really wanted to know who his neighbors are,
because he dances and he dances so loud.
He'll be like,
Hey, Lee, it's your birthday.
He'd be like screams.
And I'm just like, man, I wonder who his neighbors are.
And like, if he has to be like,
hey, man, I'm making cameos from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
It's very like Tom Sandival,
who makes cameos for people and stuff.
It's like, I feel like it's like mildly a joke.
But he's like a joke.
I'm fucking laughing at the bank.
Like, good for him.
I have somebody on here right now who's trying to convince me to send him a foot picture for 80 bucks.
Nah, I'm not doing it for 80 bucks.

And in recognition of mental health awareness month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests.
I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark,
Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth.
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

Learn the Hardway and listen now. Former The Bachelor star, Ali Fittowski, defends sleep divorce from
husband Kevin Mano. Yeah, I think this headline, I wanted to put this in here, but people need to
maybe chill a little bit because then I watched the video and I was like, I don't even think
this is real.
Like, I think this is all just for the brand deal because, yes, this was, this headline is
associated with a brand deal for a mattress company that they were both doing together.
I feel like people are going to feel like this is controversial, Ali says in the beginning
of the video.
And then, I don't know, sleep divorce, Kevin says, it's not uncommon these days.
And they basically go into the three reasons why they don't sleep together all the time.
And they make sure to say it's not like a every time thing.
It's really hard for me to only come up with three reasons, she says.
And they basically say that there are two kids are at the age where they still like to have sleepovers in bed with them.
So that's one reason is like sometimes they'll sleep, they'll take one kid and sleep in the primary bedroom.
and the other one they'll take to sleep in the guest bedroom,
which is the guest bedroom is where this very nice mattress is
that they were talking about.
And they said it's the most comfortable bed in the house.
And then number two reason is it's just really comfortable.
And basically they said the other reason is
because Kevin has to get up at 3 a.m. to go to work.
And he absolutely hates, you know, waking Alley up with his alarm clock.
Do you and Jess get up at the same?
time every day.
Goodness, no.
My wife wakes up at 4.45 every day.
That's crazy to me.
For the baby?
No.
No, when he sleeps past like me, I get up at like 6.10.
I think my alarm goes off at 6.
I get up at 6.10 and get ready.
And then when he usually gets up around 6.30.
No, Jess.
Jess wakes up.
She works out.
She reads her devotionals.
She spends like some time prepping for her day.
and then I get up and we like have a couple coffee together.
But no, I mean, I would love to be an early riser.
I still feel like six is reasonably early.
But 445 almost like hurts.
Like I don't know if I can get there right now.
Still bedtime.
Still sleeping.
Still nighttime.
No, I had many years where work started at 430, 445 in the morning.
So Easton's on here who can attest.
Like we've, I've had that chapter of my life where it was like going to work in the dark and,
uh, not for me.
Not for me.
Yeah.
But yeah, everybody can just calm down if they thought that Kevin and Allie were having a
sleep divorce personally when I watched that video and read this headline together.
I was like, yeah, no, I don't think so.
I think this is all for the brand deal.
Not a thing.
Hey, Caitlin Bristow.
She does this well.
Yeah, she does this well.
She teases picking out baby names and fans are convinced it involves Zach Clark.
Okay, there's a lot of things to this headline.
One, we have no confirmation or really this isn't even leading us to a place to believe that Kalin Bristow is pregnant.
No, no.
If anything, she was just playing, this is like a TikTok trend, which I'm sure you don't know this.
But there's a TikTok trend going on where I see it every now and then where people are like calling their friends to be like, will you come to my dog's baptism this week?
And they'll be like, your dog's baptism?
And they'll be like, yeah.
And they'll like do this whole thing about, you know, the dog.
And so that's what Caitlin is doing in this video to an unknown person on the phone.
They're saying, you know, will you come to the doggy baptism?
and this person without hesitation is like, absolutely, like, you know, whatever is important to you,
like I will be there.
Like, that's what I will do.
And then they'll be like, you said doggy baptism, right?
And she's like, yeah, yeah, I said doggy baptism.
And this person is like, yes, of course, of course.
And she captioned it picking out baby names.
That's what she did on this video.
So obviously people are speculating.
Yeah, but wouldn't this be?
her hinting at like, okay, this guy's response was so great. He's so caring. He cares about her so much.
Yes. That like, let me have your babies. Yes, that's exactly what she's doing. So she went from doing
something silly because she's not having a doggy baptism to being like, oh, he made the most sweetest
response because like I'm telling you so many people on the internet are like, I'm not going to your
freaking doggy baptism. What are you talking about? And so that's her showing that. That,
this person is very caring whoever this person is, but whoever this person is.
But obviously the internet is on fire and Bachelor Nation is convinced that it's Zach because of
his voice.
We only hear this person's voice in the video.
We don't see them.
And they also tell her, I believe, how beautiful she is because they're on FaceTime.
Oh, geez.
That sounds nice.
I know.
Maybe you should.
Goodness.
making me feel bad over here.
You're over here telling me how Jess gets up at 4 in the morning.
You guys have coffee together,
which I think is so beautiful and amazing.
Any couple should strive for that.
But yeah,
maybe you should talk to Jess about maybe having a doggy baptism for Winston
and then see,
no, Waylon.
Waylon.
Excuse me.
Maybe you should talk to Jess about having a doggy baptism for Waylon
and record her and how amazing she is when she says she would do it.
part of marriage is her looking at me being like you're a crazy person like no you think so
she would be like i think you should do it now now i'm thinking you should do this trend of jess we
should have a baptism for waylon he is he is the first child you guys ever had you know yeah

The Bachelorette,
Michael A,
details up and down
faith journey
after wife
Lara's death.
Michael A.
is giving credit to his
faith for helping him
grieve the death
of his late wife,
Laura.
One thing that I've talked to others grieving and widowers and people is visualization helps, Michael says.
This is an interview with Us Weekly.
He's doing this while celebrating the debut of his children's book,
where the wild heart grows, whether it's God or whether it's the belief in a higher being,
I know for a fact I'm going to see Laura again.
Like I know that.
And so that brings me relief.
If you remember, right, Michael A's first wife passed away in January of 2019 at the age of 33 after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
They have a two-year-old son, James, at the time, who I believe now James is probably, I mean, if two and 29, so it's like nine, yeah.
I mean, James is looking like a little mini teenager here on social media.
His children's book is emotionally rich.
It says that explores courage, loss, and the journey of growing through life's hardest moments.
The stories also focus on embracing the different seasons of life on the path of becoming.
We know from past episodes that Michael is now in a relationship.
I forget her name.
Heather, you might remember.
it. But he's in a relationship currently that feels like it's very serious, whatever that means.
It feels like Michael A, and we're getting the name pulled up here. It is very serious. I've always
had a saying in my life that was told to me years ago that you listen to people who have
been there. Michael A has definitely been there. And this.
Children's book, I think, will help a lot of people because he's been there, been through it,
coming out the other side, not, you know, forgetting what happened before, but encouraging those
to continue on life's greatest journeys. Michael's going to be coming on the pod soon to talk to us
right here at the Almost Famous Podcast. I couldn't agree more with you, Ben, and he found his girlfriend
is named Jade.
And yeah, I think it's such a, it's such a sad situation, but what a beautiful thing that
he's able to take his experience with grief, turn it into something to help children and
a positive way to channel his experience and share something with his son.
I think that's really cool.
And like you said, he will be coming on the podcast soon.
So you'll get to talk to him more about this.
and the book.
So that's a great, that's a great headline, I think, to almost wrap it up.
The last one, though, is Haley Ferguson diagnosed with gestational diabetes for a second time.
Now, everybody remembers Haley as the twin sister, one half of the twins that were on Ben's season.
Um, Haley married a hockey player.
Uh, I'm going to butcher this, Ula Paul Vey in May 2021.
And the two welcomed their first child, uh, lobby in April 2024.
And she was really candid throughout her, you know, pregnancy, uh, about her fertility challenges.
And she opened up that she has experienced pregnancy lost, canceled IVF cycles.
And what in a month.
emotional toll her TTC journey has taken. But earlier this year, she announced on social media that
her and her husband were expecting their second child. It's another girl. And she's also been
updating her followers that she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes for a second time.
So she has a glucose monitor in her left arm. And she expressed, let's run it back one more time.
cue the anxiety.
And I know just from my own experience of my sister has gestational diabetes when she was
pregnant both times, how stressful that can be.
Just having to, I can't imagine, first of all, being pregnant and having constant cravings
and then having to monitor yourself so closely because it,
you know, will impact your baby's health like that, just like every single thing that you're eating.
So she, you know, was trying to be funny with it and posted, you know, how frustrating it was
that she was diagnosed. And then also her algorithm was showing her cinnamon rolls and croissants
at the same time because she could not have that.
Yeah, brutal.
She explained that it tracks her blood sugar for up to 15 days and she revealed a
prescription wasn't needed to receive it, and it connects to an app and Bluetooth.
Yeah, this is a, I can't say common or not common, but it is a side effect of becoming pregnant.
I believe it to be common.
I think it's common for people.
But it doesn't make it any easier.
And goodness gracious, let me tell you, it is high stress enough when you find out that there is a little human growing in your body.
and you're trying to figure out how to make your body a temple of the safest and healthiest place for this human to grow.
And then at the same time, your body also is, like, I feel for her.
And the twins are awesome.
Yeah.
So we're sure the best as she continues on with her journey.
That's the big headlines.
We are going to do a special episode, Heather, and I'm just going to tease it here.
That's the headlines covering kind of the, um, the, um, the, um, the,
life of everybody in Bachelor Nation. We're going to do a special episode with some Taylor
Frankie Paul updates. We're going to update everybody on what's happened so far. Obviously,
we're almost two weeks past the initial court hearing now at this point. There are some updates
that have been thrown out there. We're also going to talk a little bit about what are we hearing
about her season. Is it ever going to air? What is happening with the Bachelor world in general?
So make sure you tune into that. But until next,
Time, I've been Ben.
I've been Heather.
We'll talk to you soon.
Bye.
