did you guys watch the montage I saw the montage hey Trista welcome to the podcast thanks for joining us well thank you let's start at this conversation by going through the list of the first cast, you know, the original cast, which is now referred to as the first sand. First sand. That's the slang term these days for Bachelor Nation. If you get first sand, everybody gets really excited. So we've got Romeo from Michelle's season. We have Michael from Katie's season. We have Cheney from Clayton's season. Jill from Clayton's season. Brittany from Matt season, Justin from Katie's season, Hunter from Clayton season, Sierra from Clayton season, Brandon from Michelle's season, Healy from Clayton season, Kira from Clayton's season, Lace Morris from, well, Bachelor in Paradise season three, and Ben's season. We have Logan

from this past Gabby and Rachel season, Genevieve from Clayton season, Jacob, From this past season, Rachel and Gabby's, Serene from Clayton's, Andrew from Katie's, Teddy from Clayton's, and Casey from Michelle's. Wow, that was a mouthful. Any shockers there? Anyone you guys are particularly excited to see? Go, Ben.

I know you're really excited. I mean, obviously seeing lace back to the beach is not only like surprising to me, but also a little shocking. I'm excited to see how this plays out for Lace. You know, we've been removed from my season six years, and she's been in paradise. It's been five years since Paradise, I think, or maybe six for her as well.

So that's going to be very interesting for me. I also want to point out that I have no clue who Haley Malls is. Zero. No, kidding. But I have no idea. Like, really, did she go home the first night? Do we have, like, footage of her even being on the show? It's hard to find.

Yeah. I was reading fan feedback and they were like convinced that this is like some producer trick and they're pretending as if she's been on a previous season. We've got to do some research there. And then, you know, I always thought that Hunter had a bad, just kind of an unfair experience during Clayton season. You know, she was the one that was ousted for suffering with IBS became a big deal. And I would like to see her kind of shine on the beach.

I mean, I could go on and on. I'm very excited for this season. Then Michael A. Michael A is a guy that I like. I've been able to talk to. He's a great dude. And I think this format could be really good for him. And so, I mean, yes.

I think this first sand group for me is exciting. I don't know. And Ashley, you and I have been able to talk about this on our podcast. You might be able to help me out here. I don't know who we're missing that I was expecting or excited to see on the beach. I'm most excited about the big three, I want to say, from like Katie's season with Andrew, Justin, and Michael A. Okay. Those guys were definitely notably missing from last year's paradise.

Yeah. But for this year's paradise, anyone, I mean, I think it's weird that we have such few, so few from this past season, Rachel and Gabby. There's like no one here from Rachel and Gabby. That's a good point. Obviously, they'll be added, but do you know how many are typically from the season that's just airing? And we have to note that it got flipped. So, you know, Bachelorette is usually in the fall, and Bachelor in Paradise is usually in the summer. And I know it always follows something, but it kind of flipped this season because they put Gabby and Rachel during the summer.

Well, I think what we're seeing... Paradise in the fall. Based on the past couple Bachelor in Paradise's, I think we're seeing the notable characters from the previous Bachelorette season kind of being held back a year or two, seeing if they have their bachelor material and then doing it the following year.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm really excited about Serene. I loved her on Andrew, on, wait, which season was she on? Clayton season. Yeah. I loved her. I love Michael A, too.

Everybody loves Michael A. I mean, who doesn't want to root for the, you know, the single dad? I do. But I do want to say that I would love to see a little bit older crowd, like not just because, you know, I'm the ancient one in the bunch. but I would love to see some people from not especially recent seasons, you know. I think that's what's a little bit disappointing is that Lace is our only major throwback. Yeah, totally. I love it. Throwback. That's what we are. We're a throwback. Oh, hi, Bob. Bob has entered the chat. Where the heck are you?

Sorry, guys, I was trying to slide into your DMs to let you guys know that I was busy over here. But the ancient one is the ride, and I will tell you that I'm so excited about the single dad guy, so funny enough about him. And I kind of agree, I would like a little bit of throwbacks. Actually, that was really interesting what you said about kind of letting people marinate a little bit before they put them on Bachelor of Paradise. I didn't know that that was kind of a philosophy of the show at this point, and I think that's a great idea. Yeah, and now we're excited to see those guys again. but I do think that they're holding back guys from this past season

because if you think of this season who's been eliminated on Gabby and Rachel's season that you would have expected to see in the original cast Jordan V Jordan Vee I think I got his name right he's the race car driver who got released out

Oh yeah I loved him He was awesome He should be I mean he's married He was long enough You know he was kicked off You want to give him the best routine. That's how I kind of see Paradise is like you want to give people the best opportunity to find love. And it's everybody's kind of second chance, third chance, maybe fourth chance.

That's why I think having some like throwbacks, it would be really fun because people like from my season maybe who haven't found love yet. And I don't know off the top of my head who those are specifically. But how fun would it be, you know, four or five years later to see them back on the beach, trying again. we can kind of catch up with their life. I would enjoy it, but I'm biased because that was my season. But even like, you know, seasons passed then a little bit I would like to see. I was just going to say, so we've had so many people on Almost Famous OGs that I feel like would be awesome on Paradise, Sarah Bryce, who was engaged to Charlie O'Connell.

She's newly single again. Sadie from Lorenzo's season, who is so much fun and would be. hysterical on camera. She is so fun. Oh, my God. Yeah. I love both of them. I know we've had people on that definitely would draw people in.

I think we can at least assume he is. And so if he doesn't show up to

the beach, I don't know, guys. Who do you see from this original cast list that you could possibly see pulling a or a Colton and going to Paradise and then becoming the Bachelor because Brandon. Oh, Brandon for sure. Andrew. I'm thinking Andrew, Andrew and Michael A.

I feel like Andrew and Michael A might be there just as like a warm up for Bachelor. Yeah, that would be my guess. Yeah. My vote is Brandon or Michael. I love them. Hey, Ashley, have we ever had a Bachelorette come off of Paradise? like we did with Nick as the Bachelor?

No, no. We didn't, we haven't. No, no. But we have had Becca go onto Paradise after. Yeah, definitely. Hey, any former leads that were set? Was it clear about that? Yes, yes, but removed.

Yeah, you're right. It wasn't like a, because she was also on Winter Games after she was on Paradise. Yeah. And then became Bachelor. Bob, anything out there? Bob is gone. Oh, Bob. I need to tell you what I'm doing.

Okay, fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you don't need me. I got an invited to Mark Wahlberg's charity golf outing for Beaumont Children's. It's like all benefits to Children's Miracle Network. No, this is incredibly important to me. Yeah. I will tell you I had a Walburger breakfast burrito. Oh, amazing. Everything is so delicious. Not, you know, not trying to put out crazy plugs here, but fantastic. And I may have had a Walberg cheeseburger ahead of schedule. It also delicious.

But like, anybody you think we're missing from the cast list anybody you're hoping it comes through you know i i will tell you i agreed with everything i was listening before i started talking because i didn't want to like disrupt

anything from the uh the the tebox because i'm a terrible terrible golfer so i will tell you guys that uh i agree with pretty much everything you were saying i think i do like what trista saying too though and what ben saying that i do think it would be kind of fun for them to bring back some some cast members that were, you know, a little more removed from the process over the last couple years. I do think that would be pretty awesome because, you know, I think that's something that you miss a little bit, right? And I think that we would love, I love seeing it. So, and it'd be great for our podcast as well to have some OGs back on the screen. Oh, for sure.

But I'm big on the single dad. I really am. That's my guy. Who in this cast is going to stir up the drama? Oh, drama. I mean, there's Sheney. Oh, Sheney. I mean, duh.

Yeah, Sheenay, for sure. And didn't she have a redemption story for her, guys. Usually Paradise tends on being like a different narrative. Yeah, true. But there's also Genevieve there who they clearly didn't get along. So I'm sure there will be drama there. And then, guys, what about Brittany? Liked Britney from Matt's season.

If you remember, there was a lot of controversy around her. There was a rumor going on that I'm not even going to repeat and perpetuate because it was awful. So I'm glad to see her back. I think she's so stunning. Agreed. You got to give, I mean, that's the kind of stuff on Paradise that I love, that there's a spinoff show because people like her deserve to be seen in better, fresh new eyes,

especially when she didn't have really a great moment to defend herself or like, how do you even explain yourself? So I'm really excited to see her on the beach. I hope, yeah, I hope. you know, all of these people kind of match up or at least get to explore these relationships. I'm excited for Paradise. I mean, I'm, I am a secret and eight-season Bachelor in Paradise fan.

Final question for everybody here, Ashley and Trista and Bob. Who here do you see getting in a surprising feud? Surprising feud. Well, Sierra is definitely one of those girls that does not hold back. She's talked a lot of smack in the press, not necessarily about anyone from her cast, but she's like been really revealing of the behind. the scene stuff that goes on the show.

I'm kind of surprised that she's here. I also remember how freely she was talking about how much she did not like Clayton. So I just don't think that she's scared about saying what's on her mind. So I think that that could possibly rub some people the wrong way. And also, Lace. I mean, she, on that note, she is not afraid either. I could see her. I mean, she doesn't care.

You know, she does not care. She does not care. She's just going to lay it all out there. So I could totally see her getting in a feud. Yeah, yeah. I mean, and she's experienced, right? She's been around it. She's seen the ins and outs.

She has some time removed. I think for me, if I found myself back on the beach, I do think five years removed, I would, I don't want to say care less. I would just have, I'd just be more relaxed. Like, it's kind of like, you know, you just kind of, you get it. not so, like, nervous your second, third time around. And so I see her just kind of relaxing and saying what she thinks, what she feels, and what she's seeing. And I think that's great for Paradise. Yeah. And let me say, the care thing, you said it perfectly. She cares or she wouldn't

be there. She just is way more relaxed and totally removed from it, or at least has been for a while. So she can let it all out. Yeah. When we said, she doesn't. doesn't care. I meant she does not care. She's the center of drama. If she, if there's any conflict around her, she will face it. She's not scared. That's what I bet. Finally, I do want to say a little, a little personal input. My friend, Jill, is part of this cast, my fellow Rhode Islander. And I know that she may have had some off-camera resentment between her and Kira. They may have been fighting over a man before hitting the sand and we'll see how that unfolds i think that's enough of a tease that i think that's a fine tease that's a great tease and i think we'd be amiss to leave this

podcast without trying to pair up some of these cast members as love matches so who do we think is falling in love i'm going to say from this initial cast what i'm seeing here i'll get you two couples right i don't want to go on and on here i'm going to say brandon um and brittany and then i'm also going to say i really want to pair up um andrew here because i think obviously he's going to be one of the bigger names on the beach and i could see andrew with his like smiley like jovial personality really finding something special

with somebody like Teddy because I think he spoke about Teddy when that season was airing and I feel like she is similar like just a smiley, happy person so those would be the two I'm looking for like looking for the one that surprises me here

that I can't quite figure out is Casey I do kind of remember him from Michelle season but I feel like he could be kind of one of those sleeper picks where he finds a relationship here because he maybe isn't the biggest name.

He hasn't had maybe the attention others have had and so I think he's coming here really hoping for the right opportunity. These are all assumptions. Mari and Kenny. That would be like a Mari and Kenny dark horse situation. Is anyone thinking about Romeo?

Am I the only one thinking about Romeo? Romeo must find luck. Is he on this list? guys yeah he's the first one oh he's the first one okay um yeah he has to find well i love the cast descriptions and i i'm thinking these might be any sugarman cast descriptions but i really loved romeo and of course he's on this show because his name is romeo yeah of course he is he's he has to he's he's a romantic at heart you cannot be named romeo and not have some like deep romance and a pursuit of love built into your your ethos so true which is why i

was named Bob. Yeah. That's amazing. I'd want to end on this note, but I have to give my prediction. I feel like Brittany and Andrew could be cute together. Teddy and Andrew

could be cute together. And I just see Serene with Brandon so much. I do too. That was going to be my pick. Serene and Andrew. And Brandon. Yeah. Love it.
