Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious. Wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate. Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Umanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. I'm Dr. Joy Hardin-Bradford, host of the Therapy for Black Girls podcast. I know how overwhelming it can feel if flying makes you anxious. In session 418 of the Therapy for Black Girls podcast, Dr. Angela Neal-Barnett and I discuss flight anxiety.

Listen to therapy for black girls on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Every case that is a cold case that has DNA. Right now in a backlog will be identified in our lifetime. On the new podcast, America's Crime Lab, every case has a story to tell. And the DNA holds the truth. He never thought he was going to get caught.
Starting point is 00:02:23 And I just looked at my computer screen. I was just like, ah, gotcha. This technology's already solving. so many cases. Listen to America's Crime Lab on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcasts with IHart Radio. Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Ben is not with me today, but we are catching up with some of our favorite married couples from Bachelor Nation. And today we have Mari and Kenny. Hello, guys. Hi. Hello. Hey. so last time we spoke it was soon after your first wedding the one well wait did you have three
Starting point is 00:03:04 weddings one televised one in puerto rico which is maris home family extended home and then you also had another more party in chicago which did not have a ceremony it was just a party that's right yeah so well i guess if you want to count the courthouse there were technically four weddings wow that is awesome so of all the weddings do you guys have a favorite in mind well i mean well obviously the the one we did in paradise was was like was was special obviously we and we we came home and made that official at the courthouse because we couldn't make it official in mexico so i mean for special for family and everything was puerto rico obviously uh that was where Like most of our money was spent on was that wedding.
Starting point is 00:04:01 But I love the Paradise One, just because it's where we met, all that stuff. The Paradise One, interesting. I didn't think you were going to say that. So why is that that holds a special place? Well, it's, I mean, we met there for the first time. We got engaged there. And I just thought it was special to be able to go back and do that. And not a lot of people get the opportunity to do that to begin with.
Starting point is 00:04:27 So it was just, I don't know, it's like I'll, it's like our kids can go back and watch that on Hulu, well, unless they delete it by them, but isn't that what's kind of stressful is that like back of the day we had the tape on VHS, right? And now we have, I feel like Apple is probably the most relying place for us to go back and watch the seasons. They're all on there. but like now we don't do we I don't think that the bachelor would give us the tape we'd have to really go through lots of hoops in order to get our footage yeah I think our season is also gone from Hulu too like season seven isn't there anymore so yeah they switch it up it's crazy yeah those are memories yeah marie as far as dresses which one was your favorite you had so many oh gosh yeah you know it's funny people kind of made fun of us for having so many weddings they're like this is so unnecessary like no one does this quote unquote in real life and I'm like I know plenty of people who had several ceremonies or several parties or whatever but anyway one of the reasons I'm very indecisive like I want to be able to wear all of the different styles and I feel like I pushed that you know so in Puerto Rico I had like the ball gown style
Starting point is 00:05:45 and then for Chicago I had like a mermaid fitted style I will say I think the mermaid for Chicago was probably my favorite just because it was like really sleek and elegant. So yeah, I just, it helps with my indecision to be able to do all of the things. I understand. I love my two wedding dresses, but man, I think a third would have been great. That third may have really completed it, you know, satisfied every fashion sense that I have. We can always do a vow renewal. I don't know if I believe in vow renewals. Because my, because my, mom has instilled in me she's like if you have to renew your vows they must have been broken at some point well i guess i didn't think about it that way no right all right guys so it's been a
Starting point is 00:06:37 almost it's been a year since you've been official what has there been um any sort of change in your relationship do you feel different now that you have a piece of paper i don't yeah actually no obviously now i when i see people they're like oh how's married life, all that nonsense. And I'm like, no, it's the same as it was. Because we lived together for like a year prior. And literally, I mean, I didn't feel like anything really changed after just all the money we spent on the wedding. Yeah. That's pretty much. But like day to day life is, I mean, I feel like it's the same. Yeah. We've been in the same apartment since we got together like before getting married. So yeah. I mean, although I do change up the decor in here all the
Starting point is 00:07:23 and it might feel like a different apartment. It's the same. Yeah. Well, I feel like it was the same with us. However, when you have kids, that's when it changes. And if you don't live together beforehand, of course, that's when it changes as well. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Yeah. I mean, we've got our dog kids for now. But I'm sure once like a human child or two come along, then yeah, that would definitely probably change things up. is that what you want to human children? Two? Two human children. You know, I go back and forth.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I will say, like, I've changed my mind over the years. When I first met Kenny, like, on the beach, this was one of my first questions to him. I was like, do you want kids? And I told him, at the time, I think I told you, I wanted, like, four. Something ridiculous. Yeah. But as time goes on and, you know, you have to, like, worry about, you know, how you're going to pay for four children, especially when you live downtown in the middle of a city it's like yeah maybe maybe we're thinking
Starting point is 00:08:27 one or two okay all right do you plan on living in the city for quite some time i don't think so is there a difference here we're for sure i think we're for sure i think we're going to switch apartments in uh next year and then do one more year in the city probably for sure and then I'm not sure after that. Yeah, if you ask us, like, our biggest point of contention in our marriage, this is probably it. I would love to buy a house with, like, a lot of space and land for the dogs. I want to get, like, three or four chickens.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Like, that's my goal. And Kenny, if you let him, he would stay in downtown high-rise apartment for the rest of his life. Well, it's still be in the Chicago area? Yeah, probably. Yeah, we'll definitely stay in Chicago for now. So we can leave. It's more work connection that I would have to stay in Chicago for now, at least. But, Mara, you're okay?
Starting point is 00:09:27 You've assimilated into the Chicago life? Yeah, I think so. I mean, I still don't love the winter. I don't think that's going to change to me. I can't even imagine because I hate the winter when it's, you know, 30 degrees. And there it gets, what, wind chill, like five degrees? It's so bad. I will say this year has been amazing.
Starting point is 00:09:49 It was just like 50 degrees a couple days ago, which is kind of unheard of here. So I can't complain too much. But, yeah, it's not, it hasn't been terrible. But yeah, that's the only thing I really don't love about Chicago. Yeah, I understand that. What do you guys do on a typical weekend or a day off together? Hmm. It revolves around what food we're going to eat and what movie we're going to pick on Netflix
Starting point is 00:10:16 or whatnot. I'd say that's like 95% of the time. Yeah, yeah. Other than that, I would say, well, football season is, you know, happening right now. So it also revolves around, like, what day the Bears are playing for me, like, when the Ravens are playing. And then we'll choose, like, okay, this is what we're going to have, like, during the game. And then this is what I'm making for dinner or whatever. It's great. Yeah, yeah. We don't get out much unless there's, like, an event that we're going to go to, you know, for something. Yeah, we're a pretty homebody couple.
Starting point is 00:10:51 We both work all day, you know, usually by time that's done, you know, and it's cold out. Nobody wants to go outside or anything. Dinner. Order food and we've seen everything on Netflix. Oh, my gosh. Well, you know, keep sucking in the Netflix because when you do have kids, you will never be able to watch TV together again. No, I've heard that.
Starting point is 00:11:16 I'm sorry. But that's just because we have our kids on a pretty weird schedule because I'm the one who likes to sleep late and go to bed and out late. But guys, you, you, Kenny, are still working in, you know, the band scene, nightlife. Mari, how is that? How many nights a week is he out? And do you, like, care? Well, actually, he doesn't go out.
Starting point is 00:11:39 He doesn't go to a lot of the shows. Oh, okay. Go to one. Most of the time I'll go with. yeah um so it's fine but even if he was like understandably you know that's his job and he's been doing that for 20 plus years so it's like you know you got to do what you have to i'm like i'm very behind the scenes with that so i actually work during the day from home like you know i set up the kitchen table as my desk and it's more of a nine to five actually type situation that's nice
Starting point is 00:12:08 That's really nice My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly And now I'm seriously suspicious Oh wait a minute Sam Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit Well Dakota, it's back to school week On the okay story time podcast So we'll find out soon
Starting point is 00:12:26 This person writes My boyfriend has been hanging out With his young professor a lot He doesn't think it's a problem But I don't trust her Now he's insisting we get to know each other But I just want her gone Now hold up
Starting point is 00:12:37 Isn't that against school politics? That sounds totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor and they're the same age. And it's even more likely that they're cheating. He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet. So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?
Starting point is 00:12:58 To hear the explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, my name is Enya Yumanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect. And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free IHeartRadio app. Search Emergency Intercom and listen now. Imagine that you're on an airplane. and all of a sudden you hear this. Attention passengers, the pilot is having an emergency, and we need someone, anyone, to land this plane.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying like, okay, pull this, until this. Do this, pull that, turn this. It's just... I can do my eyes close. I'm Manny.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I'm Noah. This is Devon. And on our new show, no such thing. We get to the bottom of questions. like these. Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence. Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack expertise. And then as we try the whole thing out for real. Wait, what? Oh, that's the run right. I'm looking at this thing. See? Listen to no such thing on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get
Starting point is 00:14:31 your podcasts. Hi, I'm Jenica Lopez, and in the new season of the Overcover podcast, I'm taking you on an exciting journey of self-reflection. Am I ready to enter this new part of my life? Like, am I ready to be in a relationship? Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and my time? I wanted to be successful on my own, not just because of who my mom is. Like, I felt like I needed to be better
Starting point is 00:14:55 or work twice as hard as she did. Join me for conversations about healing and growth. Life is freaking hard. And growth doesn't happen in comfort. It happens in motion. Even when you're hurting. All from one of my favorite spaces, The Kitchen. Honestly, these are going to come out so freaking amazing.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Be a part of my new chapter and listen to the new season of the Overcomber podcast as part of the My Cultura podcast network on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro, tell you how to manage your money again. brand ambition. This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards. If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards, you may just recreate the same problem a year from now. When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they tend to have fewer fees and be
Starting point is 00:16:01 more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive. in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it and in fact it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And Mari, you're working mostly on influencer stuff. No. So I actually do have a full time. So I have my own social media consulting agency. So I have a few different clients that I run their business social media pages. My biggest is a med spa in Chicago right now. They have like several locations and it's huge. So that's actually where most of my time goes. And that influencing is more kind of like a side gig. But yeah, I like it that way. Have you guys run into Pascal at all from the Golden?
Starting point is 00:17:05 Bachelorette considering that he runs some med spas in the area? No, we haven't, but we were invited to a couple watch parties with a couple of the other, because they had a few Chicago guys on that season. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Now I can't draw on a blank. I know. You know how sometimes when you like, I got to think of somebody's name and then it escapes you because you're stressed out about thinking about the name. So when they filmed in Chicago for Jordan's hometown. I popped in because they were like a block away. And so I met Joan and Jordan for the first time. But then once the show aired, I stay in touch with Jordan. We text,
Starting point is 00:17:50 talk on Instagram and whatnot. And I feel bad because even before their season started, I'm like, hey, you know, if you guys want to get together and watch the show one day, whatever. And then like the whole season went by. And every week, we would talk. And he'd be like, hey, we're going to Pascal's to watch the show if you guys want to come by and like we always had some bullshit going on so i was like so then i figured at some point we would get together and then the whole season went by we never we never went we never made it it's a short season and um i need to know how jordan is in real life because he just seems so youthful like he does not seem like a golden contestant to me no he yeah he was uh he's like i would hang out with him i mean he's he's he's what 20 years older than me
Starting point is 00:18:35 probably uh maybe more but yeah he had like you know the tight jeans on and the whole deal on on the date he was nervous because you know how it is that they're on a hometown date i'm like oh you know i'm like trying to talk to these guys but in his mind he's still thinking about like he's yeah this is date with her he probably didn't want he's like this is fun for you but this is very dark rocking for me were you on tape no no no no it was they were like on the river walk and we're like two blocks down so i walked over uh hung out with bradford and some of them for a little good at and yeah i was there for like 15 minutes yeah i figured it may have been just like a producer pop in say hi yeah guys you are kind of known to me on social media as the starters of the whole
Starting point is 00:19:24 watch me rate my outfit for my spouse you guys created that and then jared stole it a couple weeks ago for a macy's ad so thank you for the idea You're welcome. Marie, do you, like, order dresses for the content, or are you just, like, you're ordering dresses and like, hey, babe, come and rate what you want me to wear on next date night or next event night? So it's a mix of both. I don't even remember, like, why I started it. I think, I don't remember. I think I had just, like, stocked up on a bunch of new, like, dresses or something because it was, like, summertime. And I was like, let me order some new dresses. And I was like, hmm instead of because normally I would just post it like me trying them on and then I like it right like guys which one do you like the most yeah and then I had the idea like you know it'd be like cool if Kenny did it and had like an actual scorecard and everything um so that's how it started and so now um I'll try not to like you know be wasteful so like if it's something that I'm already purchasing like a few layers of jeans then you know that fits in or I'll even do it with like clothes that I've owned for years like I have there you go
Starting point is 00:20:30 body suit in like different colors yeah i'll do it with that and then i actually we just did it for the first time as an ad also so that was cool you know getting get an ad for something that i would have already done on my own anyway yeah we love it we love it so i want to ask you guys some fun questions first just like kind of you know i wouldn't say rapid fire but sort of like that who's the better cook oh me yeah marie what's she the best at cooking Any food? Any food? I could cook.
Starting point is 00:21:05 I cook eggs. You know what? I cook steak better than she does, I think. That's about it. Yeah. Meat is more, in my opinion, at guys' territory because I'm not really down for that either. It's very hard. I also don't choose to make chicken that scares me.
Starting point is 00:21:22 You never know when it's going to be right, you know? I don't know. It could be pink. I don't know. It's going to be, no, thanks. um what is who will who is the one to most likely resolve a fight say sorry first probably marie yeah she also starts most of them as well no no i don't no i don't besides where you're going to live what kind of sparks a fight usually i have a lot of stuff okay there's there's a lot
Starting point is 00:21:55 of stuff in a lot of places and well when you have a lot of stuff in a small apartment there's not like necessarily a place for all the stuff to go so he doesn't like that you know sometimes there's like I well uh yeah I'm like a minimalist I don't have anything like but she'll it's just there's like piles of clothes everywhere and stuff see I don't mind when things are out like if I have laundry that I haven't put away like that of course like is something that I want to get to but for me what annoys me the most is is jared's little tendency of like leaving something that he has to get to on the counter and why is it different to me it's because like if he has like miscellaneous parts of something on the counter like this doesn't have a home in our house yet so if i knew
Starting point is 00:22:45 it had a spot then i could just go put it there and if i put his step away then he gets annoyed but I'm like, okay, but it'll sit there on the counter for like a week and it'll annoyed the crap out of me. So I really just need to make a home for it. Well, I don't understand what, what it's about either, but I'm the exact same way. Like, I would much rather like the room or like my side of the room be a mess than like have stuff on the counter or like in the living room area. Yes, it's the common space area. Even though like for you guys, it's all common. It's all common space, I suppose. But the bedroom is more of like, I guess it's like a dressing. room to me and yeah but like if on the kitchen counter on the coffee table
Starting point is 00:23:27 you get okay who is more likely to like plan a vacation do something spontaneous we're I don't that we kind of both do that now yeah well we because we did our we did our first like Europe trip to Ireland last year this year this year and then we we kind of I got, like, addicted to trying to go to Europe all the time now instead of, like, traveling besides Europe. So I get that. It's really the only place I would care to go to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Yeah. And then, like, it's almost like it was more affordable. We went to Denmark, and it was, like, more affordable to, like, L.A. And it was, like, all across the board, hotel, airfare, everything was, like, half the price of going L.A., basically. Wow. That's why so many people went over there for Taylor Swift concerts. Yes, honestly, yeah, yeah, right?
Starting point is 00:24:23 100%. But yes, he's much more like, so for example, Christmas is coming up and like instead of doing gifts, he's like, oh, let's just plan a trip instead. So like in that aspect, I would say it's him. When it comes to actually planning it though and like looking for the flights that I do that. My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly
Starting point is 00:24:46 and now I'm seriously suspicious. Oh, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking. for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot. He doesn't
Starting point is 00:25:01 think it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone. Now, hold up. Isn't that against school policy? Starting point is 00:28:00 podcasts. The Super Secret Bestie Club podcast season four is here. And we're locked in. That means more juicy chisement. Terrible love advice. Evil spells to cast on your ex. No, no, no, no. We're not doing that this season.

And I'm Maya. In each episode, we'll talk about love. friendship, heartbreaks, men, and of course, our favorite secrets.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Listen to the Super Secret Bestie Club as a part of the Michael Tura podcast network available on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, well, actually, that leads me to a question for married couples and Christmas gifts. Like, I would rather Jared and I just like plan something, an experience thing, or I, Heather, honestly, just be like, hey, like, what charities do you want to give to? Because, like, we don't need any more stuff. And we want to give stuff to the kids. You know, that's, once you have kids, you're just like, oh, we want to shop for them. That's fun. But, like, we do not need anything, anything else. So what do you guys, what do you typically do? Are you doing, like, vacations and experiences? And if that is what, you know, you just kind of mentioned, do you still get little things to unwrap on Christmas? You just need to get a couple little things. Right? Yes. I just found out yesterday that she bought something smaller. Yeah. See, I have like two, three things where he am to unwrap. And I'm like, is that enough? Is he going to get me more than three things to unwrap? Exactly. We still need something under the tree. Like the experience of unwrapping it. It's like something small. It doesn't got to be anything huge. But like just a little something. And then we also do the experience. Yeah. I think that. Yeah, I don't remember. It's tricky when it's like, oh, well, it's my money, too. So, like, let's have this.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Don't mind me anything I don't really. Stuff like that. Okay. Let's do a little flip situation. Kenny, what do you think Mari's favorite memory from Bachelor in Paradise was? Probably throwing my birthday cake in the fire. Yep. That's exactly what came to mind.
Starting point is 00:30:45 stop really the bad memory has turned into a good memory I mean it's funny now to look back on it and I you know it's funny because I was getting my makeup done the other day this is an aside here but they were asking me about that moment and they were like oh you know you're so nice like you're so sweet and kind like I never would have thought like you would do something like that and I was like hmm this leads me to believe that there are a fraction of people out there who
Starting point is 00:31:14 believe that I am like that in, like, actual real life, which is far from the truth. I'm obsessed that you said this. Like, that was a very specific, like, we're on camera right now. Like, I'm angry. We're going to play this up. Like, I would not ever actually throw food or any object at anybody in, like, a normal, real life situation. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:37 So I was talking about this on my other podcast called I Don't Get It. And we were, my friend Nasps, like, Ashley, you like are not. confrontational and you always say that you won't speak up in this situation or that but you're the girl who literally had one of like the most memorable experiences on two on one how can you say that and i go um i think there's something called like camera courage like just the the environment of being on a tv show even though like it is so much our real lives when we're experiencing it does make you do slightly sassier things
Starting point is 00:32:14 than you would do in the quote real world yeah absolutely and like for me personally it definitely flashed in my my head I'm like okay this is gonna be good TV like people are gonna talk about this
Starting point is 00:32:23 like I'm going for it yep okay so then Marie what do you think is Kenny's most memorable or favorite moment from Paradise probably something to do with being naked like the taco date you guys were naked all the time
Starting point is 00:32:38 or I guess like Kenny was more so naked. Why do I have more like memories of Kenny? Have you had like a leaf when you walked down? No, that I hadn't. That wasn't you. That was Jacob. Black box though. Okay. Here two years ago. Why did you get blackboxed? Well, they I actually, so initially I was going to come down naked. Okay. And then we switched to like a very small speedo basically. And that's what I came down in. And then they black boxed that to make it look like he was actually naked all right so i knew i had a memory of you not having clothes on i mean they talked about it doing doing it legitimately naked which i said fine i don't care and then they got like they're like oh okay we better not do that
Starting point is 00:33:28 so i don't know if it's just i don't even know where that all came from i think i mean there was some stuff on my season with claire that we were like naked stuff dodge ball and all that stuff so I think they were just it was kind of just a playoff of like where I had come from before paradise and then it just turned into a thing basically every date I went on in paradise there was something it was nudity involved this is a little bit of a TMI rated our question I'm sorry if I'm being too personal but when you guys had that date where you basically were like naked and like putting like food on your bodies was it is sushi?
Starting point is 00:34:11 Taco. Tacos. Okay. Sorry, thinking about sex in the city. Taco ingredients. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Taco ingredients. Was that the first time you guys saw each other naked and did you even see each other naked on that day? Or were they trying, were they being a little bit more coy? So we were covered.
Starting point is 00:34:27 They put like fake leaves on us for that. So we didn't see each other like fully naked at that point. I don't remember if we already had gone to the boom boom room before our date. No, I don't think so. No. Okay. No. All right, my last fun question is just what has been your favorite memory as a married couple besides the weddings?
Starting point is 00:34:52 For each of you. I would say probably our trip to Ireland. I was actually going to say that. Yeah, because it was our first, like, big international trip. I mean, we've gone to, like, other countries in North America. We did Guatemala, but it was our first time going, like, overseas together. And I think traveling with a partner is always a good indicator of like how your relationship is going to work out, which for us, you know, it's fine. But it really sparked that like, hey, let's do more of this together, you know.
Starting point is 00:35:23 So it's kind of like it was the set up the foundation for us to continue doing that. So I love it. I think. You go ahead. Okay. I, well, it's kind of like extended. but like so when we when she moved to Chicago like me and my dad drove in a moving truck from Chicago like what is it 13 hours straight yeah and then my it was me her my dad and then like we slept
Starting point is 00:35:53 my dad like slept on the floor because all her stuff was packed up and then we drove back home the next day so it's like 13 hours to Maryland to Maryland we slept woke up packed the moving truck and then drove back straight, like 13 hours, straight. Holy moment. Yeah, so it was like, which I don't think, like, some people, like on the show don't get, like, if there's not that kind of effort post show, it's really not probably going to work out. But, like, for me, it was like, it was like, hey, this is a legit thing. Like, my family was involved.
Starting point is 00:36:35 Like, we're driving out there packing her shit. bringing her back all the whole thing so like that whole like thing um you know i always that always kind of you know comes up in my mind oh that's so sweet that really is it was beginning it was like the real life beginning of it all yeah yeah it was well all of this has to do with travel really and that makes me think that if you guys were to do any reality show that wasn't the bachelor what would it be together as a couple i the audience is going to be tired of me saying this but i I've been saying it for a long time, and maybe The Bachelor will catch on one time. But I think that there should be an amazing race or survivor like show where the married couples from the franchise go and compete against each other.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Oh, my gosh, right? Everybody's always like, I want to see the married couples again because they get to see the singles be in paradise and, you know, married couples, you know, you follow on social media and we love it. But I think it would just be really, really fun to have a new space. off show. So if you guys had to do, if we were, if we were, if we were to create something like that, what format would you want it to be in? Um, I would, well, I would say like, I think more of amazing race over survivor type thing, but not naked and afraid, Kenny. No, absolutely. Just the one. Just the line. No, yeah. That show was crazy though. They're like in the, they're like in the, they're like in the jungle like, yeah, literally nothing. Yeah. I'm tough.
Starting point is 00:38:08 think I could do that. I agree. I think amazing race style would be really good. And I love the idea of bringing back like former couples or like, you know, still couples, but from former seasons of the show. That would be so much fun. Any kind of competition. Oh, yeah. I'm especially in like a high stress
Starting point is 00:38:24 situation like to see how the dynamic is when it's not a romantic setting. Yeah. That's a good idea. And I'm like such a competitive person. I would, yeah, I'd do whatever. it takes to win whatever the price is.
