This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey everyone, it's Ashley and Ben,
and this is the Almost Famous Podcast,
and we're back with another edition of Frankie Friday,
you know, the day of the week
where we give you all the latest news happening in the life
of our newest bachelorette, Taylor Frankie Paul.
Before we get started today,
producer Heather is going to give us a little game.
It's a quiz to see how much Ben and I have learned about our upcoming bachelorette
thus far on doing Frankie Fridays and by watching Mormon wives.
Guess what guys?
I'm in season two now.
I think I'm going to go by,
go through this season a little bit faster than I did season one by episode one,
already more captivated.
So Heather, come on at us.
I kind of love that you said you're more captivated season two, episode one than you were from that first season one episode one with the body cam footage. That didn't get you.
Oh, okay. So maybe that got me for a second. I guess I was just too aware of like everything that happened. You know, I'm like reading a book basically after seeing the movie.
That's you. Okay. Totally understand. Well, this is going to be interesting because I know you guys don't each host every single Frankie Friday. So let's see how much.
you know. So first question. How old is Taylor? Uh, how do we do this? Raising hands.
Like, what are we doing here? I'm going to get smashed during this. I'm going to be
absolutely destroyed by Ashley. Just each give your answer. Just each give your answer.
And I'll tell you who's right. I'll go first. Since I'm adamant 32. 32. 34.
Uh, you're both incorrect. She's 31, but very close. Very close. Um, okay. How many children does Taylor have?
I feel like I feel like I should be the first to answer it because I don't know if I'll be right on any of them.
Go for it.
She actually has three kids.
Yeah, she is three.
Yes, she has three.
Okay, bonus points.
What is her youngest child's name?
It's something interesting.
Taylor Jr.
Ever, ever.
Correct.
Ashley is correct.
Yes.
And then doesn't she have a kid in Ocean?
I kind of like it.
Well, Ashley, you're stumping me because I didn't look up the.
other kid's names.
Okay.
Wanted the kid that is on the show.
How many times has Taylor been married?
Twice.
Once.
Ashley's correct.
It's once.
I said it was so much confidence.
Her relationship with Dakota is kind of like a marriage, but no, not technically.
What is Taylor's mom's name?
Bonnie.
You interviewed her, Ashley.
I know.
Was it Starwood?
Is it Laura?
No.
Close.
It is Leanne.
Leanne.
Yeah.
Damn it.
I'm embarrassing.
I know.
I know that's embarrassing.
I think I just know her from her Instagram handle.
Yeah.
Okay.
What is the name of the TikTok group?
Taylor is the leader of.
Mom talk.
Thank God, Ben.
If you didn't get that, I would probably had to kick you off as the host for Taylor's.
season.
Come on.
Bonus.
Can you name at least one other member of the group?
Yes.
Macy, Whitney, Jesse.
I was going to say Whitney.
Okay, that counts for both of you then.
What is the devotional Taylor often shares on her social media?
I do know this one.
Ashley.
I don't.
Jesus calling.
That is correct.
What is a dirty soda?
Ben, do you want to go?
Do you want to try this?
It's just a mixture of like a tons of different sodas.
Well, technically, I don't know if that might be passed.
It's like a soda and it has a whole bunch of different syrups and basically toppings on it.
It's like a soda Sunday.
Yeah, kind of.
I think what you guys are kind of missing, the integral part is like it's usually like cream.
So it's like a flavored coffee cream typically that's added along with flavorings.
and sometimes things like limes.
Guys, I don't know how you deal with the sugar of that.
Like, how do you put, like, coffee made coffee creamer into a full regular Coke?
Not to be a spoiler, but we will be trying some dirty sodas on this.
We will be giving our actual opinion on what these tastes like.
I'm sure they're amazing.
I'm not a big sugar person.
I don't eat a lot of sugar in my life.
And when I do, it typically does not go well.
for me. So let's, let's do it. A zip test. You don't have to drink and consume the entire thing.
And the problem is I like it. So, um, what reality stars claimed on a podcast that Taylor was
hooking up with Dakota right before filming the Bachelorette. Akkeh, I know this one. I'll give you,
I'll give you a clue because one of them is mentioned in today's headlines. Hakeem did it on our show,
almost famous. One of them is mentioned in headlines. I don't know if he outwardly said that
they were hooking up. I can't recall, but okay, I mean, I think there was an innuendo. There was
an innuendo of them having a relationship during our time. We asked him and he wouldn't say yes or
no, but his eyes were telling a different story. Okay. I think it's Harry Jousey.
Correct. It is Harry Joussey and Marciano from Vanderpump Villa. Great show. I've seen it many
times.
Name a celebrity who has publicly talked about being a Taylor fan or excited about watching this season.
Okay, hold on.
Give me something.
Give me a moment.
Give me a moment.
Think about people that have been outwardly Bachelor Nation.
Jennifer Aniston.
No, she hasn't.
Well, she's not really out and proud anymore, I don't think.
But good one from the past, for sure.
Amanda Seifred?
No, but you're on the right track because she did just make headlines for saying Bachelor in Paradise is her favorite show.
That's probably why you think that.
And doesn't she run the company that Jessica and I love called Make It Cute?
It's the cardboard kids' houses.
Oh, I don't know.
No, I don't know this either.
Wait, that's a great company.
We got one for Winnie.
And they've been nice enough to donate one to the local.
The local kids, like, home here in Denver?
Oh, I have the answer.
Tell me.
It's Milakunas.
That is great.
Yes, Ashley, it's Milakunas.
I would also have accepted Jennifer Lawrence.
She has also publicly stated that she's a big secret lives and Mormon wives,
Taylor Frankie Paul fans.
Amanda Seafreed was the one I was thinking of.
Yeah, that's what she said too.
She did just say this week she is the hugest fan of Bachelor and
Paradise. That might be why she's kind of resonating. I bet Amanda. She is so nice. I met her in a
Harry Styles concert and I actually tapped her on the shoulder and I said hi because I knew that
she was a Bachelor in Paradise fan. Make it cute is great if anybody's out there. Check it out.
I got to check that out. Love it guys. Well, that's all my quiz questions for this Frankie Friday.
I think both of you are on on a good track. I think both of you had some solid answers on that one.
Heather, here's how we should look at this.
I've never been a good test taker and some would call me not intelligent.
But you're going to say I've never been a good reality TV watcher.
Well, that's part of the shtick here on this show.
That is true and that's why we have you.
I would say here's the victory that I'm going to take from that quiz.
If you would have asked me those questions before we started doing Frankie Fridays,
I would have had no idea who anything was or anybody was.
I would have had no answers.
And at least I was familiar with the topics being discussed.
And I think some of our listeners will feel the same way.
So Frankie Friday is working for me.
That's what I take away from this as well.
The newest tracks.
Let's go.

Okay, it is time for Frankie Friday.
The day of the week that we celebrate our upcoming Bachelorette,
the Bachelorette that will bring in the ratings
that will get people talking and have people watching.
Well, the Bachelorette season is coming up.
It doesn't mean that Taylor is not out there and about,
so let's start breaking down the headlines from this last week.
Taylor played in the NBA All-Star game.
Ashley, we saw some videos of her shooting and preparing for the game.
Tell us how she did.
Well, her team didn't win.
Her team, which is Team Anthony, fell to Team Giannis.
Do you know NBA?
Yeah.
Okay.
Who's Giannis?
Who's Anthony?
Team Anthony and Team Giannis.
Giannis Anticoompo is one of the most dominant players in the NBA currently.
I'm guessing Team Anthony was Carmelo Anthony's team.
That's what I thought, but why would Carmelo Anthony be playing?
He hasn't played for a long time.
He's a big star.
Let me look it up to see who the captains for the NBA celebrity All-Star game.
Wait, is that Carmelo Anthony's son?
Because I think he's in the NBA now.
No, it's not his son.
You're crazy.
You're crazy.
So team Anthony Anderson, actually.
Wow, I was way off.
Anthony Anderson was the got called up to be the coach.
We all know Anthony Anderson.
I feel like Giannis kind of had the upper hand because he plays.
But Anthony Anderson, you know, he can ball a little bit too.
Like Anthony Anderson, the actor?
Yeah.
Okay.
Interesting.
So we had celebrity versus like NBA player as the heads.
Yes.
And then they had their teams, obviously below them.
neither of them played in the game.
That would be very unfair.
However, they did have Ashley Taco Fall playing in this game, which is very interesting.
He's a former NBA player, and he's still playing professionally overseas.
Taco Fall played in this game, and I've always loved Taco Fall.
I actually thought he would have a fairly successful NBA career, and he kind of did for the Boston Celtics.
Here's the crazy part.
He's seven foot six, and he played this game against Taylor Frankie Ball.
that must have been the man in her Instagram reel because I was like,
this man is truly double her size.
Because I was like Taylor's tiny.
Like she might be like 5.2 or something.
But she's,
this man was legit double her size.
That's crazy.
Yeah, he's 7.6, 300 plus pounds.
So he's not like 7.6 and like skinny, skinny.
Him he's a professional athlete.
So he's in shape.
But like he's a big dude.
And, uh,
and they put him in this game.
which I'm still confused by.
It felt like unfair, honestly.
Does this man just touch the, like he just touched,
like the rim does that hit his head?
Well, he has an eight foot wingspan.
So at 7.6, he could stand flat-footed
and dunk a basketball.
Damn, that is so nutty.
Is that crazy?
Yeah, well, Taylor actually said
that this was one of the most nerve-wracking situation
she's ever been in.
She said it makes the top five,
even though it was just for fun.
She said, you're miced.
This is live.
no redos.
So that's interesting.
And if all the things you should have,
this is like one of the most nerve-wracking,
I would have thought,
like, I would have gone into it,
be like, this is just going to be a straight silly.
Yeah, it's hard when you're competitive.
And what we've learned about Taylor so far
is I think she is very competitive.
And it's like, I mean, for me,
it's those golf events.
I've never been more nervous.
I can be in front of a crowd of 5,000
and dancing and being a terrible dancer
at that and be fine.
You put a golf club in my hand,
and you have people watching,
it is a whole new ball game.
Our producers are asking,
would you do a celeb game mic?
100%.
So during a lot of these golf tournaments,
they'll put a mic on us.
And it's great.
You have to walk.
I mean, golf is a little different
because I get very frustrated.
I say some pretty crude things.
But that's basically what she was saying.
Like,
your mic's like,
you don't know what you're going to say.
You're probably cursing up a storm.
The good, the benefit is she isn't a part of,
it was on like a,
I don't know what channel exactly is on,
but there's only so much they can show on cable television.
However, we will continue on.
Taylor Frankie Paul played in the game.
She did it.
We're proud of her here.
That's the almost famous podcast.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 4,
cast, photos, and trailer.
Okay, Ashley, I'm just going to be naive here
because I'm reading and trying to keep up with everything going on.
There's, and this might be a thing in every reality show that exists,
but I've never been, you know, aware of it.
With it comes to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
you have like the mom talk, the stars of the show.
And then sometimes you're just a friend of.
And a friend of means maybe you were...
Wow, he knows his shit.
Yeah, you were like maybe a person on previous seasons,
but you've either had like a breakup or your friendships have split
or the leads of the cast don't like you.
And so you become a friend of,
which means you've been removed from the most screen time,
a main person on the show.
And so it's similar to like professional like soccer
where you'll be demoted if you don't perform well.
Am I getting this?
Yeah.
So because there was like a whole bunch of drama in season three
where Demi's not getting along with the girls,
it was like first it seemed like an assault thing.
And then it was like, actually you're just flirting with him
because flirting with him and you're married,
so this is all awkward.
So anyway, the girls are not vibing with me right now.
So other things that go on in this trailer,
we see Taylor riding in a car with a man
and sharing a kiss with him.
It seems to be possibly the musician
that we've hinted at in previous Freaky Friday episodes.
We also see two hot to handles Harry Josie.
He's hanging out,
and then there's a shot of Dakota and Taylor in bed together.
This season,
This season is going to premiere on March 12th on Hulu.
The Housewives, oh my goodness gracious.
How many times am I going to call them Housewives?
The Mormon wives, they will be streaming all of their episodes at once.
You can watch this entire thing before Taylor's premiere of The Bachelorette on March 22nd.
It seems kind of like Kardashians now, which I don't mind.
I'm sure there's going to be a big part of the audience that does mind it.
But because these girls are like now famous outside of Utah, they're doing Dancing the Stars.
They're doing Bachelorette.
They're doing Broadway.
It's kind of going to follow their lives doing big things, doing lots of brand deals,
doing lots of like making their own companies and their own brands and all this.
These brands are outside of mom talk now.
That it's just going to, it's going to document their celebrity lives instead of.
of documenting their mom, Utah lives.
But I kind of find it to be interesting because, I mean, I like the celebrity component
to it.
This photo is very interesting.
Like, they're really playing into this whole narrative of Mormon wives with this photo.
It's always like this.
I thought they were trying to get away from that and communicate.
Yeah, like they were trying to communicate the, like, what actually.
is a life of a Mormon wife.
But this photo definitely doesn't
help. It's all of them like sitting
in the same out, like colored outfit,
like laying out like an old like Roman like room
and they're all looking up at Taylor Frankie Paul,
some with like admiration, some with disgust.
It definitely plays into it.
It's worth noting that Taylor is the only one
in the promo photo looking to,
directly at camera.
Everybody else is looking at somebody else,
like as if they're looking over their shoulder.
And Taylor is like, oh, no, I don't have to look
anybody else.
I can look directly at you because I'm the queen.
I'm not looking over my shoulder at somebody else.
I am the leader here.

Hey, on February 15th, Taylor shared, she's been talking about this very openly and kind of processing it with her fans and with the people that follow her.
But Taylor shares she's struggling mentally.
she's a mom, a reality star, and an influencer all at the same time.
And I don't want to like bring this back to me, but I could relate very heavily when I was filming housewise over the summer.
And this girl literally has been doing this cycle for the past, we'll say four years since they probably started filming the show.
It's outrageous. She shows how she can't keep up with the house at all.
It's just a mess.
Not and then on top of like what I experienced over the summer, she is doing the Bachelorette.
Like so she has two shows.
She's an influencer.
So she has to keep up her own brand and a mom of three.
And she's well, before a Bachelorette single.
So she doesn't even have a partner to share all this with.
I don't know how I would do this without Jared as my support throughout at all.
So I can't imagine what this girl's going through.
is so intense.
She probably doesn't have a second to herself
or to relax.
She's living in mess. She's living in mess.
She's just trying to keep it up. And a lot of the texts that she posted
in this reel
are her checking
in on friends and friends checking
in on her and they're all just kind of
talking about how they're in this together.
Like how, like are you struggling? Are you depressed?
Are you overwhelmed? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Are you just getting by? Yeah.
I think like any
mom of littles can feel this just in general just being a mom of a little, let alone everything
that Taylor has going on in her life. Ashley, I mean, as you said, you can relate to this a little bit.
At least you can relate more than most, I think, in terms of your experiences. If Taylor was listening
to this episode, what advice would you give her and how to kind of get her back to feeling
at least herself again.
She probably knows this, but I think
the only advice that comes to my mind is, like, you know
that this is just like a phase, and this is like a
really bad stage right now.
And you never know,
like in a few weeks that she just could all lift.
But you need
help.
I'm sure she has a nanny,
and I know her mom's around.
But I think just reminding her that
it's just a
phase and that it'll all come down.
And if it doesn't come down and she needs it to, then like,
She can't, she's in the position right now.
She can step back.
She can drop one thing or another.
Yeah, I think that would be wise at some point, right?
You continue down this path.
It's not going to get less busy.
You're not going to get less demand.
And so pulling back at some point is probably a great option.
Speaking of advice, somebody that we've talked about more than we have in a long time,
somebody that's coming back up and we're learning more and hearing more about her and we love her here.
at the Almost Famous Podcast is Emily Maynard.
Emily Maynard reveals advice she gave Taylor, Frankie, Paul
after filming The Bachelorette as a mom.
So Emily doesn't put herself out there, like, ever.
She did her first appearance, Bachelor, Bachelorette-wise,
really first, like, public thing since her time on the show
when they filmed The Bachelorette before the first rose.
this was when all the girls were in the red outfits, the red sweatsuits,
and then they filmed something with Taylor during the filming of her season.
That was actually, I thought it was going to be part of the season,
but it's going to be this thing called The Bachelor at before the first rose,
and it's going to be on ABC prior to her premiere.
This is, I guess, a place, it's a reunion of sorts,
but a place where the girls are going to give advice to Taylor.
It's right after the Oscars, Ashley.
Oh, whoa.
They're putting this on after the Oscars.
That's like a huge time slot.
That's cool.
Not that like the Oscars gets like the most viewers of these days,
but that used to be a coveted time slot.
Yeah.
All right.
So anyway, back to what Emily said was she was on Happy Hour this week.
And that's crazy.
Like this was her first interview in like a decade.
And I'm jealous.
Emily, come on over to us. I have so much to talk to you about. Basically, basically just
fan girl to you. But anyway, she said something very interesting. She was like, when you're the
Bachelorette and you're a mom, the best advice that I can have for you is forget your mom for a minute.
She said it's probably the opposite advice that most people would give, but in my head a lot was like,
what are they going to say? I can't do this because of my mom. I can't do this because I'm a mom.
and she said that when it was the only time since she was 18 years old when she had Ricky
that she wasn't being asked to like open up a fruit snack or have to, you know, flush the toilet
for her.
She's like, okay, this is the only time of my life.
Then I'm going to like concentrate on myself.
And I'm going to try to make it seem mentally that I'm not a mom right now.
I think that's good advice.
I mean, I think you want to be.
who was the guy years ago that was on The Bachelorette who was like funny because he's like,
I can't do that because I'm a dad, but he was doing everything else.
And he was a villain.
Yeah.
Isn't that on Claire season?
That was on Claire season.
Yeah, I forget his name at this point.
The guy had the dark, dark hair.
But as a dad now, I do think if you find yourself single and you are out there dating, there is like a mental
step to take to say, hey, this is a time for me. And yes, I want to be respectful of my kids. And I
want to be respectful of the way they could see this potentially. And people would, you know,
comment. However, like, have a little fun, you know, let loose a little bit to enjoy and soak in
this experience, especially if you've already committed to it. So Emily Maynard continues to bring
honest, real, and good advice. And Emily, I'm saying that. And, Emily, I'm saying that.
in support of you so that you do come on our show at some point soon so I can see Ashley freak out.
She also, I remember she didn't go to fantasy suites.
It's not like she totally cut off the thought.
There's like very clear things that you don't have to do.
Exactly.
That could be, you know, misinterpreted or taken out of context.
But if you kiss two guys in one night, big whoop to do, right?
Hey, you know what?
It's just another Tuesday for The Bachelor and Bachelor.
Ashley, obviously you're investing deeply into the secret lives of Mormon wives.
We've known from this show for years that you've been a fan of the Kardashians and kind of following their story.
Are you finding yourself as intrigued and interested in the secret lives of Mormon wives and Taylor Frankie Paul?
I don't want to say as the Kardashians because I think that's different.
Let's not compare.
I didn't mean to offend you, Ashley.
But is there a similar kind of like fandom and interest?
To me, to be straight up on us, no.
I am interested and I enjoy getting this backstory about Taylor
and I'm enjoying the series more and more as it comes out.
And like I said, I do like the fact that Hulu, ABC is going down the sort of production type
that they do with Kardashians.
with housewives or with Mormon wives.
So it'll be interesting to see if I like it more and more as they follow that
that mold.
But the Kardashians, like, you just, I just can't, like, they're sisters and I just,
it's a family dynamic.
It's true family.
They're never going to, like, really abandon each other.
And I think that with those, with that relationship, it's just so much different.
Like, these girls are far more fickle than the Kardashians are.
their relationship just isn't as funny to me.
I love the Kardashians because of how close they are,
like comfortable they are with each other.
That makes sense.
There's always tension with these girls.
And I feel like there's always,
you can always be on the chopping block with the Kardashians.
I mean like Courtney is pretty awful at times.
But like they're not going to write her out of the family.
Oh, this is so fun.
I love following along with Taylor, Frankie Paul,
all the stuff she's up to these days.
all the things leading up to the next season of The Bachelorette where Taylor Frankie Paul will be our next Bachelor.
Again, right after the Oscars, there is going to be a sneak preview of most of.
I'd say 90% of the past Bacheloretts coming together to not only celebrate this upcoming season,
but also share some advice and lessons learned with Taylor Frankie Paul.
I think it's going to be intriguing, interesting, and we're going to see some familiar faces
that maybe we haven't seen in a while on our televisions.
And I love the idea of that.
So, hey, this is Frankie Friday.
The weekend is upon us.
We'll be back next week with more news
following The Bachelor, Bachelorette, more interviews.
And of course, as always, Frankie Friday.
So until next time, I've been Ben.
I've been Ashley.
