Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. A decade ago, I was on the trail of one of the country's most elusive serial killers, but it wasn't until 2023 when he was finally caught. The answers were there, hidden in plain sight. So why did it take so long to catch him? I'm Josh Zeman, and this is Monster, hunting the Long Island serial killer,
Starting point is 00:00:22 the investigation into the most notorious killer in New York, since the son of Sam, available now. Listen for free on the IHeart Radio, app, Apple Podcasts, wherever you get your podcasts. A new year doesn't ask us to become someone new. It invites us back home to ourselves. I'm Mike Delarocha, a host of Sacred Lessons, a space for men to pause, reflect, and heal.
Starting point is 00:00:45 This year, we're talking honestly about mental health, relationships, and the patterns we're ready to release. If you're looking for clarity, connection, and healthier ways to show up in your life, Sacred Lessons is here for you. Listen to Sacred Lessons with Mike Delo Rocha, on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Hi, I'm Dr. Priyankawali. And I'm Hurricane de Bolu. It's a new year, and on the podcast, Health Stuff, we're resetting the way we talk about our health. Which means being honest about what we know, what we don't know, and how messy it can all be. I like to sleep in late and sleep early.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Is there a chronotype for that, or am I just depressed? Health stuff is about learning, laughing, and feeling a little less alone. Listen on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, I'm Jorge Ramos. This week, on the moment, we take a look at Venezuela's uncertain future in a conversation with two people who have directly advised U.S. presidents.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Juan Gonzalez, during the Obama and Biden administrations. We're really good at invading countries. We're very bad at nation building. In Carlos de Rosillo, during Trump's, two terms. I can guarantee you that nobody in the Trump administration likes Del Cidotero. Listen to the moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Are you desperately hoping for change in 2026, but feeling stuck? I'm Dr. Lari Santos, and in a new year series of my show, The Happiness Lab, I'm going to look at the science of getting, well, unstuck at work, unstuck in your relationships, and even unstuck inside your mind.
Starting point is 00:02:21 I am the absolute worst culprit when it comes to getting into these ruminative loops and just driving myself crazy. Listen to the Happiness Lab on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your shows. This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost famous podcast with IHartRadio. Everybody, it's Frankie Friday. Goodness gracious. What an idea our producers had to do Frankie Fridays as we get ready for, I have actually an inside source today, Ashley, telling me this. Is that me? No, it's not you.
Starting point is 00:02:58 I think I would drop your name. I can't drop this person's name. But somebody who works on the show has a high position on the show, still to this day, texted me, which is very nice. I appreciated it. And we just kind of texting back and forth. And I said, hey, how's work? And they said, it's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:03:21 This upcoming season of The Bachelorette is epic. Oh, great. Yay. They haven't said that in a while. I know. I know. Put their name behind it. So at some point, we'll have to get that person on to talk more in detail about maybe what we can expect.
Starting point is 00:03:34 But Frankie Friday is a day we'll re-break down everything happening that we know of in Taylor Frankie Paul's life as we prepare for the next season of The Bachelorette. But before we get started, I need your help, Ashley, friend to friend. I would love it, Ben. I'd love to help. There's two things we want to talk about today. One, I was just discussing before we got on air about my insecurities with hair. We'll talk about that in a little bit. but before we dive into that conversation, I need human help. And we get messages from you listeners
Starting point is 00:04:03 that are greatly appreciated, oftentimes giving us feedback on something we said or opinion we had or something maybe we didn't say. And I would take all the feedback I can get right now. I'm having a tough day. And I don't know why. It's not a big deal. It's not the biggest deal in the world. But I, every Wednesday, we have a call with a buddy of mine who has ALS. We've talked about him before. You know his name. His name's Brandon. in. We do this Zoom call with people from all over the country like buddies of his and we just pretty much talk about life. I hope those notes from that meet. Yeah, I hope the notes from that meeting never get put into the public because they're wild. But I had a moment today and I've
Starting point is 00:04:44 been having these, I want to say consistently, but they happen to me every once in a while, especially in social situations where I have something I need to tell everybody. Like somebody bring says something and I'm like, oh my gosh, that reminds me of this thing that I need to talk about, but that person's talking. So I'll wait. And then I completely forget what I want to ask about. And it is haunting me today, Ashley. I've had calls all day. I've been on meetings all day. And I cannot get this out of my head. I've gone on walks. I've prayed. I've listened to music. I don't know if I needed to like take a few shots of something just to get my mind clear. But like, it is driving me insane. And it's like really haunting me.
Starting point is 00:05:24 There's so much here. So my friends, well, on my other podcast, I don't get it. We were such interruptors. We called ourselves interruptors because we couldn't possibly continue, let conversation continue without getting that thought out because we were in such fear that we would forget about what we were going to say. And like, really, I should probably have just had a notepad right next to me. But just in general friend conversations, especially I think with the women,
Starting point is 00:05:54 We tend to be, there are two types of people. I've seen Instagram reels and stuff like this. People who are interruptors that absolutely have no problem interrupting. And it's like out of just friendship, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then they would never take that as to be like something that's offensive if somebody cuts them off. And then there are people who are very offended when they're not able to be finished. And a lot of the times, friendship between interruptors and non-interruptors, it's hard. And you can see on this podcast, I'm definitely an interruptor because I'm always stressed I'm going to lose my thought.
Starting point is 00:06:30 And I also don't want to, I would think it would be rude if I were to, which is crazy. You let me know. Is this what you would prefer? Me just kind of go into the note section of my computer and start tapping during your completed thought. Or should I continue to say it? Because to me, I guess the tapping seems more distracting than you'd be like, oh, my God, blah. Yeah, you know, it's, I think in a friendship, if we weren't recording episodes that should be at least pleasing to the audience's ear at some level, then interrupting, I don't think works. Because you don't want me to be going off and off on my soapboxes that I do. And all of a sudden, like, you interrupt. And then my train of thought gets messed up or I don't get to finish my thought. So you, like, interrupt me at a moment where it's maybe most, like, content.
Starting point is 00:07:24 and I don't get to actually close out the loop so that maybe it makes more sense. So I'm going to keep a notepad next to me from now on. I guess my question, I do that with you. I have usually a scrap piece of paper here or are all right questions down. I guess here's where I come into this issue at because it does happen to me. And it is something that I cannot get out of my head all day long. And then at 2 a.m. usually like that thought comes back and I'm like, that's what I wanted to say.
Starting point is 00:07:57 How do I not, and I have this Google search up right now. I've tried everything today. Goodness gracious. How I don't let intrusive thoughts haunt me or how I can, the article that I'm about to read is called How to Survive a Cringe Attack, the Science and Psychology of Embarrassing moments. So it's a very similar feeling, Ashley, for me. When I do something embarrassing and I lay in bed at night and I lay in bed at night and
Starting point is 00:08:24 I like stick my head into the pillow and I'm like, why did I say that? And then sometimes like even I have a physical reaction to it. Like I jerk. Like, whoa, why do I do that? I have that the same feeling kind of right now. And I'm wondering how do you deal? Like, I don't know if getting over it is necessarily the word I want to use, but like, how do you deal with this thing? Because I'm sure I'm not the only one. So my initial question to you was actually, was it the fact that you interrupted that you felt weird about all day that was haunting you? Or what? was it the fact that you had a thought that you forgot and you were so frustrated that was lingering and you couldn't figure it out. Okay. So there's two whole separate conversations here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Interrupting one. The other one is yes, that feeling of forgetting your thought can really haunt you for hours afterward. This happened with me the other day at dinner with Caitlin and Becca. And it was like, I just sat there feeling incomplete for quite some time. You just put a great word to this. I feel incomplete right now, Ashley. I feel like I am not my full self. Yes. The other part of you is searching for that thought.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I don't know. Hey, listeners, write in. I need your help. It's usually a consensus of people that end up speaking to this. I think I've brought up my like physical reaction to some embarrassing moments or even like traumatic moments. I even will have bad dreams sometimes about like maybe Jess and I went on a walk and a car drove by really fast. And I got, I get mad at these cars these days. Because we usually have
Starting point is 00:10:05 Winnie with us. And Waylon, you know, isn't always great when it comes to a car flying by. And like, if it wasn't for me reacting in that split second, somebody gets hurt and I'll lay in bed and I'll have like this jerky reaction to it. I know there's a word for it. I know somebody out there listening can be like, yes, this is what's happening. I need advice. I need your help. The second topic we're going to talk to about today before we get into Frankie Fridays is my relationship with hair.
Starting point is 00:10:28 The producers on the show commented that my beard this week, I let my beer grow out. I got a little lazy during the holidays. That's fine. Looked extra dark and wondered why. Well, I didn't die anything. I just think it might have been the shadows or the angle. But my relationship with hair has always been something
Starting point is 00:10:46 that I think is one of my insecurities. So years ago, when we started this show, I thought I was going to be bald. by 35. Well, I haven't lost any hair in like 10 years. I'm very, knock on wood, you know, think the good Lord above, whatever you're doing to do. I'm feeling pretty good about that. But there's parts of my body I want more hair on, like my head and my beard. I have a patchy beard. It is a little patchy on the one side. And then there's so many parts of my body. I remember in high school, Ashley. I would spend so much time manicuring myself.
Starting point is 00:11:23 to not have hair in certain parts of my body that I was so concerned that I would have like that sweater like I'd have a sweater when I took off a t-shirt at the beach. It was, I'm very fearful of that. I still have that fear even though I don't think...
Starting point is 00:11:38 It's not happening anymore. But I do feel like men get hairier like bodies as they get older. Yeah, maybe just because it's longer. Maybe they just don't care anymore. Yeah, we kind of give up. But I work out in this workout class every morning and it's very like acceptable like the girls are in like you know sports bra and like
Starting point is 00:11:59 short shorts because it's a heated room and so it's very acceptable for the men to take off their shirts when they work out because it's so hot and I still have that like I don't want to do this because like you know I might be hairy today I might be hairy today anyways it's a very weird thing in my life where so much of my physical thought processes as I look back not as much as much anymore. I mean, goodness, Jess is going to love me no matter what. But when I was in high school, I look back on how much time I spent one being concerned about the hair on my head or on my back or whatever. And I don't have a hairy back. I don't know why I spent so much time worrying about it. There's not a hair on that back. Like, I guess my point to all this is if you're a high school
Starting point is 00:12:45 kid and I don't think our demo is necessarily high school boys, but if you're a high school boy listen to this show, don't worry so much. We might actually not have one high school boy listener. I was just doing the count the other day. I bet we're up over like 30 million, 40 million listens in total. And each week,
Starting point is 00:13:05 you know, it's tens of thousands of people that listen to this show. I bet we don't have one high school boy listening. One thousand percent. I don't think we have one. Not a single one. And hey, if you are a high school boy listening, please let us know.
Starting point is 00:13:18 We would love to be aware of are just the I bet you know what I hope we all of a sudden find out that we are like viral in certain high schools when the boys come in and they're like did you hear what Ashley said yesterday about Taylor Frankie Paul wouldn't that be fun that would be fun that would be fun this is the equivalent of an Ashley Jonas like ramble or like a Tom Brady ramble like we had the other day yeah I made us weekly made us weekly and I'm so sorry yeah I do not want to get involved Tom Brady and Alex Earle's love life. I don't even want Tom Brady seeing any headline with us associated with him.
Starting point is 00:13:56 No. Goodness gracious. I saw that. I was like, why out of everybody out there talking about this? I know. Am I the one? The one human who honestly,
Starting point is 00:14:05 without like dancing with the stars, would have never known who Alex Earl is. Not because I don't appreciate the work that she's done or what she's done in press. It's just not my thing. And yet I'm the one that gets quoted for the ickiness of them dating. I don't know them. Good Lord. Bethany Frankel posted something yesterday about it, so hopefully her points over our cheers. It's more, for me, I'm only commenting on behalf of a fan who's like, wow, they're on a yacht.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I'm jealous. I'm envious. They're both hot. Like, they're both attractive. And I don't get it. Okay. New Year, fresh start. And honestly, I'm starting with dinner. This year, I'm being smarter about where my energy goes, and dinner was taking way too much of it. I just signed up for Hello Fresh, and they take Fresh start to a whole new level. This week, on the moment, we take a look at a look at Venezuela's on certain future in a conversation with two people who have directly advised
Starting point is 00:18:25 U.S. presidents. Juan Gonzalez, during the Obama and Biden administrations. We're really good at invading countries. We're very bad at nation building. In Carlos de Rosillo, during Trump's, two terms. I can guarantee you that nobody in the Trump administration likes Delci Rodriguez. Listen to the moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:18:51 We have a very exciting season of The Bachelor Art coming up. Before we get to the Bachelor, we do got to get to know our Bachelorette a little better. So it is Frankie Friday, and I'm going to start with this headline, Ashley. We're going to bring Heather, producer Heather in for this because she is convinced, I think,
Starting point is 00:19:11 that this is a subtle hint at how the season goes. But the headline reads this way. Did Taylor just drop a subtle clue on her Instagram? Ashley, explain what this is, and let's bring Heather in for her opinion on why she thinks it's a clue. Okay, so Taylor posted on December 28th, a recap of 2025. To it, she said a song, and the song was listed as original audio.
Starting point is 00:19:35 So it's like she imported her own song, and it's a male voice, and it's like an acoustic song. The lyrics say stuff about missed calls, about another Adderall and X waiting for you for when you're off. I don't know. She can talk about how she interprets these lyrics a little bit. more, but she's basically convinced that she has released a song of sorts from her winning boy. Heather? Okay, guys. So I went full deep dive on this the other night.
Starting point is 00:20:07 And it was only because, first and foremost, I will say this, when I was looking through the Instagram, as I always do, I always go to the comments, too, for clues. And when I see Taylor's mom commenting on a video, it's when my spidey. cents goes up. Okay. So Leanne commented on it and said, I like this song. And Taylor responded and said, me too with the emoji face with like tears watering in the eyes. And that's what sent me on the spiral. I was like, okay, I need to you. So if you actually click on a song on Instagram, if it's connected to a video, it will take you to all the videos that have used that song. Yeah. So I was trying to find who the artist was and what the name of the song was.
Starting point is 00:20:57 So I clicked. So I was the first one. So I clicked it. And Taylor's is the first video. And there had been like four other videos made using the song. But they were after Taylor did her video. So I'm like, people are using now her original audio. But okay. My question to you is like, is this her winner or is this like the person that she doesn't pick? But then like she made a mistake. And then she should have picked. Tim and so then she's posting his song as a, I'm sorry, I want you back. Exactly. Is it somebody who makes it really far and a one-on-one date serenades her with a song, which we know has been done on the show at some point. You know, people love to show off their artistic backgrounds. Or create new ones mid-season. So yeah, listen, I looked high and low for these lyrics on the internet. I could not find them. There were multiple people in the comments saying, I like this song.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Who is this? Asking her who the artist is. She never responded saying who sang the song, but she did respond saying the name of the song is called fruits of your labor. It's definitely one of the guys from her show. And if it wasn't her winner, then her winner would be pissed. This is true. That is. But I then, so then I tried to look at her list of guys and tried to see who was listed as like a country music artist.
Starting point is 00:22:27 And I really couldn't figure it out. I think there is a guy in Nashville this season on her season who I think dabbles in country music. But I don't think he makes it very far. So I feel like it's probably one of our top contenders who we speak. But not reported on. and maybe this is just a hobby, but not his actual career. Okay. That's my two cents.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I'm being a CIA agent. If I'm wrong and somebody does know that's listening who the artist is that sings this song, come and roast me in the comments, but I don't think we're going to find it. There's zero chance the show's okay with this. Oh, yes, they are. They love her doing this. She's the exception to the rule. She gets to do this stuff.
Starting point is 00:23:16 She just gets to like not subtly. I mean, if this is really, really him, then this is not just a subtle hint. This is like a, like you said, if she ends up with a different guy, that guy's going to be like, what in the world are you doing? Let me hear first on the almost famous podcast. All I'm saying, nobody else is reporting on this. So thanks. Bye. We are. We're reporting on this. We're really good at this stuff. Okay. New year, fresh start. And honestly, I'm starting with dinner.
Starting point is 00:23:49 This year, I'm being smarter about where my energy goes. And dinner was taking way too much. of it. If anybody is wondering, we talked about this a few weeks ago, people have been commenting for
Starting point is 00:27:54 for weeks about this guy. He's blowing up from her being The Bachelor. But the headline is, is anybody wondering what Taylor's ex-Dakota is up to? I feel like these people who love Mormon wives so much, they always know what Dakota's up to. But if you don't, he was subtly hinting out a woman being in his life
Starting point is 00:28:16 the last time we did a Frankie Friday. He posted like a girl's hair and him like very close to the hair. and then I think it was hands or like a foot or something like that. We thought he was trying to soft launch someone but ever since that post we haven't seen anything else from her.
Starting point is 00:28:34 We have, however, seen him take their son, their shared son ever to get his haircut for the first time. Was it his first haircut? I'm not sure. And it was very funny. So if you want to check that out, go for it. That's his recent update on social.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Ashley, this headline is one that has to do with Taylor, but we've had to have it explain to us on why it has to do with Taylor. But it's been a big deal that Latia Gar launched a new podcast. Her co-host is somebody connected to Taylor, from my understanding, based on season three of the Secret Lives. Ashley, one, Latia Gar launched a new podcast. That's a headline in itself.
Starting point is 00:29:22 but it's who she did it with that are making people go, hmm. Yeah, so we have talked about Latia being part of like the Secret Lives community a little bit on the outside. She has shot in episodes, but never really made it on an episode. And she lives, of course, in Salt Lake City, Utah. And she's launching a podcast with one of the ex-husbands, Chase McWhorter, so that's something launching a podcast with one of the girls' ex-husbands
Starting point is 00:29:59 what will this be about I don't know it says two lonely friends one podcast and it's called the lonely friend's pod it's coming in summertime in January I mean
Starting point is 00:30:16 goodness it's what we do for a living but we the world has a lot of podcasts and so typically when somebody says hey we're launching a new podcast I'm like go for it I hope it works but there's a lot out there
Starting point is 00:30:34 however it does feel like this has gotten enough steam people are curious enough about it to tune in what I'm just going to kind of go on a rant here what we love about Latia is that she has stayed
Starting point is 00:30:48 it seems like to me for the most part, above the fray of the season that she was on. So like the drama hasn't really hit her. She kind of got away unscathed because she didn't end up with Grant. And so she doesn't have to really respond to any of that other than just saying, you know, I'm glad. Is this going to bring her into a light of speaking about these subjects and topics and make us go, you know, or at least maybe bring in some of that drama?
Starting point is 00:31:17 She also was friends with the Mormon wise. And I, from my understanding, is the co-host that she's doing this with, it's controversial because of his relationship with some of the Mormon wives. I feel like it's going to, they're launching it in January because three episodes are out. Yeah. It says Latia and Chase talk about how they met. Chase's bad first impression and the origin of lonely friends. They're talking just kind of about pop culture.
Starting point is 00:31:49 talking about Taylor Swift, talking about Jake Paul, Tom Brady and Alex Earl, and the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. So, all right, it seems like they're trying to capitalize on this moment in which Mormon Housewives just released the season. They'll be releasing another season in March. She's part of that community, but she's not an inside source, so she technically can talk about it with a little insider information, but also as, so as like an educated fan, sort of how we do this show.
Starting point is 00:32:18 and then she is having a husband from Mormon wives on who knows Taylor personally. And I just think it does make sense. Business move. What's so interesting about this podcast duo is that season three ended with Taylor going on a date with this co-host slash X chase. What? So they've gone on a date before. So this guy is, of course they're capitalizing on this. That date didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:32:58 But he's somebody who can say he's been on a date with Taylor Friedman. I mean, that holds some weight right there. That's crazy. That's all. I mean, people are going to listen to this because, like you said, they're capitalizing on something that's on people's minds, right? What happened with the date? And now he can speak about it. He's not under contract.
Starting point is 00:33:18 He can share whatever he wants. It's a good duo. I just wonder if it's going to mess with friendships. Like, I don't know if Latia is going to be invited to hang out with these girls anytime soon. Yeah, you're right. But I also wonder how much she was actually hanging out with them in any ways. We don't really know, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Yeah. Yeah. Maybe she's just friends with one of them. Yeah. We wish him the best. Yeah. We'll see what happens from this. Very interesting.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Final headline about Taylor this week is this. Taylor hints about filming another surprise. This was posted on Monday. Taylor posted some shots to her Instagram story. It looks like she's in makeup. It's interesting to me because Ashley was in makeup Monday. I did get to work with Taylor loosely on a ad campaign. It was so cool.
Starting point is 00:34:09 It was so much fun. I did it with Becca and Caitlin and Taylor. Taylor wasn't in our scenes per se, but we were there and glam together. And we got to chat for a bit. And she's very sweet. So easy to talk to. Very much like just kind of like a easy girl to hang out with,
Starting point is 00:34:25 much like you've seen, I feel like on TV so far. And I didn't pull too hard as far as for the tea on the season. Because, you know, I want to be respectful. I was trying to be respectful. It was the first time I met the girl. But I did ask the standard question that they are usually able to ask, we usually able to answer press with. And I said, so, are you happy?
Starting point is 00:34:50 And she said she's happy. And we did a lot of comparing and contrasting about her bachelor experience versus her secret lives experience. And then my experience on Bachelor versus Housewives because we're both on like a wives show. And then we're both on Bachelor. And she just made it seem like with the structure of The Bachelor was kind of a shock to her system. Because, you know, like she has like so much of a schedule. And she said that with Secret Lives. Like she really does just kind of document her real life.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Am I wrong? And I think a lot of people, and you're going to make an assumption here. Because like you said, you worked loosely with her. You got to meet her, though. I've always thought of Taylor, Frankie Paul and Caitlin Bristow as very similar humans.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Did you pick up on that at all when you were with her? You know, I don't even know that I was, they did like, and they did a TikTok or an Instagram, and it was very funny. And that was just like, oh, wow, you guys are so natural at this sort of dance humor type of TikTok Instagram. So I saw similarity there, but we weren't in the same room.
Starting point is 00:35:55 I don't remember being in the same room with Caitlin and Taylor for that long to like pick up on vibe like that. But I understand what you're saying. They're just such open books and they just like don't give up. Right. Yeah. No. And like and they also, you know, for as I think, at least from most people's experiences, like they both are so fun to be around.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Like Caitlin is. Yeah. The other reasons we love Caitlin so much is she is like this huge personality that's also very approachable and enjoyable to be around. It's not like she's like crazy loud all the time. She's just a fun human who's always up to do something weird and say something weird and say something that's going to push the limits and make you uncomfortable. She does it because she's like she can she can hang. She's fun. Yeah. Exactly. She can hang. That's how I felt towards Taylor very much. So as we wrap this up, what we know about Taylor.
Starting point is 00:36:45 this week is that she's good at social media, either leading us astray on a wild goose chase or giving us hints to how her season ends. We also know that Ashley got to meet Taylor and likes Taylor isn't excited and is excited for Taylor's season. Dakota gets a haircut and Latia Gar. Dakota's son, their son. Oh, goodness.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Very funny. Anyways. Hey, this has been Frankie. Friday, we'll be back with more content coming your way. Make sure you tune in and listen. This is the Almost Famous Podcast, and I've been Ben. I've been Ashley. See you guys. Very funny, but and bye.
