Listen to shock incarceration on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast. podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcasts with IHartRadio.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Hello everyone. It's another episode of The Almost Famous Podcast. And I am sitting with two people that I'm so excited that I'm sitting with both of them at the same time. It's Justin Glaze and Susie Evans. And yes, I will be grilling them about their relationship because there's no way that this is a friendship because. I feel like you guys are the new Ashley and Jared, which I hate to refer to myself in third
Starting point is 00:02:33 person, super awkward. But also like this friendship is just too close, too fun, too flirty, too good on screen. To not be more. What is going on with you too? I don't, I don't butter you up and then get to the hard questions if you can't tell. She jumped right in. I know. Can't say we didn't see that one coming. Justin has done interviews with me before. I think, you know, maybe it's naivete, but I don't think it's that far-fetched for a guy and a girl to have a platonic relationship. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:09 And so we're in the opening scene of when Harry met Zach. Literally. I feel like we have this banter, like, constantly of like, okay, I know Justin's, like, dying to date me. Oh, my God. I don't mean to like, you know what I mean. So basically I've been rejected time and time again. Like, basically, like, I know it's this bit where he just pretends like we're just friends,
Starting point is 00:03:35 but like I know I'm the one. Like, he's going to figure it out. So annoying. But. And this is us. This is it. And this is it. You're seeing it live.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Why isn't it happening? One day he's going to wake up and he's going to realize, like, I'm the love of his life. Or maybe I'll start dating somebody and you'll, like, stand up at my wedding. I don't know. There was a time. Honestly, I do regret, I think it was a couple of weeks ago, where Susie did try to kiss me. Shut up. That's a lie.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And I was like, I was a little nervous. That is a lie. There's been times where she's like shot or shot, you know, and vice versa. Bro. Well, you have to paint the picture. Where was it? Oh, my gosh. You tell.
Starting point is 00:04:12 No, I really had any details on the spot. So I was at her apartment and we had just probably finished filming a bit. And I was sitting on her cream sofa. And I was tidying. up was she was editing something and then I sat down she came over she had her her cannon camera and she was scrolling through the pictures and she was like do you like this one and she played it real smoother like she was leaning in and like her hair was kind of laying on like the side of my face much I was like so you noticed that yeah I did I did I was like okay she's got some game
Starting point is 00:04:43 you thought I was trying to kiss you yeah what were you trying to do I was trying to show you a picture so why did you like close your eyes and puck her up stop you're ridiculous you are so dumb. This is so fun. But you guys recently went on a date basically to the Ravens and what were they playing? Chargers? The Chargers, yes. So, and Susie, not a Ravens fan, not a Chargers fan. A Miami fan? My family is like my dad's side of the family is from Miami. So, yeah. Okay. So I get it. Yeah. That's why I'm a Giants fan. So. Her dad was not happy about that. He was not. Okay. But why take Susie and not one of your guy friends if it's, if, you know, literally he asked me I was like yeah I did I did so I'll tell you that's a great question Ashley yeah I'm sure it is I think we I think we genuinely do enjoy experiences together we have very similar interest this one's a bad example because it was literally your first football game but that is your first NFL game yeah first ever wow that's so cool it was really fun to experience together I know I'm like oh my gosh give me new experiences like yeah honestly for this one and this is going
Starting point is 00:05:51 be her first time hearing this. So I'm sorry, but like, she was the third option for this one. So, you know, ever since Rodney's been in his flourishing relationship, we don't see him much. And I get it. You know, he's happy. He's moved on from myself and Nate. We miss him dearly. And Nate is in Toronto for a modeling shoot. So I looked around and I'm like, that really was like, it seems like he was only just considering his bachelor friends for this. Literally, yeah, I'm like, oh, you don't have other friends? Yeah, he had to make it a moment. This is a statement.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Yeah. Am I getting ganged up one right now? What's going on? We're trying to gaslight you and dating me. Basically, it's kind of working. Just kidding. So you guys are very aware of the speculation out there in the comments on your Instagram videos, as you guys do use each other as partners and like a lot of content.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And the content's so good. We love it. So entertaining. And you guys, I love somebody who can do an ad well. and you guys do ads really well together. Thank you so much. Now, do you like the comments? Do you indulge with the fan frenzy?
Starting point is 00:07:02 I think, yeah, I think I do. I think it's funny to like banter back and forth. And I mean, we both like tease each other online. Like I just saw a comment on my way here where somebody was like, oh my gosh, like wife her up or something. And you were like, yeah, she wishes. I do think it's funny I also think on a serious note
Starting point is 00:07:26 like if either one of us we've always said this where it's like if either one of us were to get into a relationship like our dynamic would certainly have to change Yeah that's what Jared and I always use to say too Yeah interesting It actually has come up Well she had a relationship over the summer
Starting point is 00:07:41 Well she did but it was actually You can speak to your experience But after her relationship over the summer. We were both single, but I was sort of talking to somebody, and, you know, we were doing, you know, TikToks and little fun bits per usual, and the person that I was talking to, like, was pretty displeased by, like, it just kind of felt some type of way about, you know, our content and was like, you know, I guess insecure about our friendship. And I was, like, reassuring, like, we have not done anything. Like, we're friends. It's like a funny bit with, like, fans, whatever. People
Starting point is 00:08:17 that comment it's like a running joke um but we did have a discussion like okay if i if either one of us like you said were to enter into a relationship um it sucks because we're such good close friends but like that part of our like dynamic would have to change like we would no longer be joking about dating obviously if either one of us were in a relationship but um yeah it was yeah it was it was interesting to navigate and i think before i didn't really know about that until that literally that one night that you told me and i felt and i felt bad and sad like i didn't even you were really talking to anybody like I just I just didn't know like you know we just hadn't like talked about it um but I definitely would want to be sensitive to that and like even not
Starting point is 00:08:59 like not just not joke about it but like I just would want to be like considerate of somebody in that sense but I also think it was different when Andrew was a part of the bit and it was like very blatantly like okay you guys have transitioned from who is it going to be yes to it really is just yeah he's booted up now and let me let me clarify when I say it was like literally maybe like a week and a half into knowing this person. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:23 So it was like very early stages of talking to somebody. Like we were not dating by any means. That would be super disrespectful. So just want to clarify that. It was like, are you sure you don't have a girlfriend? I was like, who are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:09:35 She was like, that girl you do the TikTok. I was like, oh my God, no. Okay, you don't have to be that aggressive about it. Well, no. But I was like, I didn't even think twice. I didn't even think about it, you know? But yeah, it was very interesting. Imagine that you're on an airplane and all of a sudden you hear this.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Attention passengers, the pilot is having an emergency and we need someone, anyone to land this plane. Think you could do it? It turns out that nearly 50% of men think that they could land the plane with the help of air traffic control. And they're saying like, okay, pull this, do this, pull that, turn this. I can do my eyes close. I'm Mani. I'm Noah. This is Devin.
Starting point is 00:10:20 And on our new show, No Such Thing, we get to the bottom of questions like these. Join us as we talk to the leading expert on overconfidence. Those who lack expertise lack the expertise they need to recognize that they lack expertise. And then, as we try the whole thing out for real. Wait, what? Oh, that's the runway. I'm looking at this thing. See?
Starting point is 00:10:43 Listen to No Such Thing on the I Heart Radio. Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, my name is Enya Humanzor. And I'm Drew Phillips. And we run a podcast called Emergency Intercom. If you're a crime junkie and you love crimes, we're not the podcast for you. But if you have unmedicated ADHD... Oh my God, perfect.
Starting point is 00:11:08 And want to hear people with mental illness, psychobabble. Yes, yes. Then Emergency Intercom is the podcast for you. Open your free. I Heart Radio app, search emergency intercom, and listen now. Your entire identity has been fabricated.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Your beloved brother goes missing without a trace. You discover the depths of your mother's illness the way it has echoed and reverberated throughout your life, impacting your very legacy. Hi, I'm Danny Shapiro. And these are just a few of the

Hi, I'm Janica Lopez, and in the new season of the Overcover podcast, I'm taking you on an exciting journey of self-reflection.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Am I ready to enter this new part of my life? Like, am I ready to be in a relationship? Am I ready to have kids and to really just devote myself and my time? I wanted to be successful on my own, not just because of who my mom is. Like, I felt like I needed to be better or work twice as hard as she did. Join me for conversations about healing and growth. Life is freaking hard. And growth doesn't happen in comfort.
Starting point is 00:12:52 It happened in motion, even when you're hurting. All from one of my favorite spaces, The Kitchen. Honestly, these are going to come out so freaking amazing. Be a part of my new chapter and listen to the new season of the Overcomfit podcast as part of the MyCultura podcast network on the IHHHHHH HeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. So if one of you got into a serious-ish relationship and the relationship had to change, how would you feel, how do you think you'd feel?
Starting point is 00:13:28 Or would somebody suddenly develop feelings because that's what happened to Jared? Susie is the jealous type. I'm the jealous type too, but Jared was the one who turned to be jealous in that moment. Really? Maybe I just need to get a boyfriend then. Well, you had one. I already tried that in the network. See, I always say that people come to me for advice,
Starting point is 00:13:49 like, how do you get, how did you get Jared to turn around, like, come around? And I'll always be like, the real telling thing is if you get into a relationship and that guy, if he doesn't care, he's never going to care. Yeah. So, girl, get a boyfriend. That's so funny. Yeah. I think if I, like, I do think.
Starting point is 00:14:10 it would be sad. I've said this to you before, not to get emotional. And I know I'm literally saying, like joking, like, oh, you know, Justin'll wake up one day and he'll realize it's me. But I do think, like, the reason why we wouldn't, like,
Starting point is 00:14:29 cross a boundary or whatever would be, like, if we were to cross that boundary, we couldn't just go back to being friends. And then, like, we can't have anything casual. You know what I mean? Yeah, again, not to keep her. to myself, but that is exactly how Jared felt. That's, it feels true because I'm like, okay, you can either come,
Starting point is 00:14:47 this sounds so dramatic, but I'm like, right now, you can come to my wedding someday. But if you kiss me, you probably can't come to my wedding unless you're my husband. Yeah, yeah, unless you're in Bachelor Nation, which it does get a little weird. That's true. Well, Jared had Caitlin in the audience who he kissed. Anybody else? No. I feel like, and I feel like it's kind of different when it's like show based.
Starting point is 00:15:13 You know what I mean? Like when you start a relationship on a show or whatever. Like, kiss off camera. Right. Like, we chose this in the real world if that were the case. You know what I mean? Like, that's where I feel like we would both want to be like, yeah, we would either like lose the friendship over it or like it would just like change everything.
Starting point is 00:15:30 So. Which is sad. Yeah. It's like, you know, it's gotten to the point where, you know, like my mom sees all of our stuff and love Susie and. I'm in the DMs with her dad, you know? And it's just like, it'd be such a... Life change. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yeah. Yeah. It's tricky, though. It is tricky to navigate. I sometimes think, like, this probably prevents us from finding something serious. Yeah. You know? Like, I think that anyone could see my social media and think that you're my significant
Starting point is 00:16:02 other. And so, like, if that's how people are meeting people, like, I could... I think it would prevent us from finding somebody to an extent. So, I don't know. It's, like, a tricky thing to navigate. game we're we're you know leaning in and having fun with it and I think sometimes like we see each other as co-workers a little bit like we we truly work together we truly like help each other with content and like ideas and like he's helped push me so much with my creativity and my like film
Starting point is 00:16:31 and video and photo stuff and like I feel like I've encouraged you to really pursue your passions and we we like technically work together a lot and that's super important and special so I don't know it's like it is tricky to navigate because I do think I constantly feel like oh I'm like so uninterested in dating and like I felt that for so long I'm like maybe it's because I have like a really great platonic friendship that kind of fills my emotional needs and to think back on that like I was joking earlier but you'd be in the third option yeah thank you but it's it's so it's like Susie's so easy to be around and hang out with that it's like I choose to spend a lot of my time with her because we do have somebody
Starting point is 00:17:10 similar interests and she's so nice and encouraging and it's like those things where you know not that our relationship is based on like content so like we talk about a lot of stuff right but it's that person where it's like you know if we're in a silly goofy mood like hey you want to like film something real quick and it's like some of my friends have like oh roll the eyes like you're weird but it's like you know but it's like we get it you know oh god what did you just say you said you're getting fulfilled yes I used to say that, like, Jared was my boyfriend who didn't touch me. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Because we used to just, like, we 100%, like, we would call and, like, talk about our days. And it was just 100% that section of my life was fulfilled, except there was nothing, like, physically happening. Yeah. And then what you guys just said about, like, there's nobody else that will do, like, those silly skits with you. Same here. Yeah. Okay. And I'm just going to throw that one.
Starting point is 00:18:01 I'm going to move on to another topic. I could just make this entire interview about this because it's really interesting and you guys are really open about it and I love it but there's also something juicy I do need to ask Susie so but one more question about you too have you really never kissed really never kissed
Starting point is 00:18:19 oh Justin definitely he's like you don't remember that time one time I thought Justin was going to kiss me though when I told you this story about a guy that said it was you were building helped me build furniture in my house and I just kissed a guy that said
Starting point is 00:18:41 I know what I like I know what I like when I see it or something like that and he was a friend first and he kissed me and I had just like it was literally like the night before and you literally did the exact thing like jokingly making fun of him but you literally came I started running from you
Starting point is 00:18:58 my heart drop a little bit Susie like I thought you were going to kiss me Chicken a lot. We do play. And I didn't know that that was the name of the game until you said it was chicken. You know what that is? Where you like pretend like you're going to kiss? And like you see whoever backs off first.
Starting point is 00:19:12 You guys, you just might just like you think you're dating. I think. Nah, it's like it's part of our like little bit. And you know what that does. It, it builds up the anticipation and then like there's more sexual tension. You're building. It is a little like. You're at least for me.
Starting point is 00:19:29 We are sitting on other sides of the couch. though. I'll paint that picture for you guys out there. All right. So to wrap this, let me ask Susie, my juicy question for her. So we, Ben and I recently, we did roast Clayton a little bit when he had his paternity test come out and he was not the father. We definitely had some fun with the Mori jokes. And then we also thought, okay. And then we also just thought like his video was quite cringe. What was your take on it? I know that I know what you say. I know you said you're like happy that he's like relieved from it all. I think honestly, I hope that like the truth prevails. That's how I feel because I feel like I had a bit of insight before everything. Like I had seen him at a brand event and we caught up before going because we knew we both were going to be there. So like kind of one of those things.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Let's get ahead of it and like, hey, let's like catch up before we go. So it's not awkward when we see each other. It had been a while. and he told me this and I felt just like devastated for him because I was like you can't catch a break and I don't like I said this publicly before but I'm like I don't think he's a liar and like I really felt like he was being targeted by somebody and I was just like this is so bizarre like so wild and like how is how is this like happening to you again kind of like publicly what do you mean again because was there something like very similar in the past yes so like when we literally the
Starting point is 00:21:04 day before he was moving to virginia i was flying into scott's dale i was filming a wedding in california first and that was flying scott's dale to drive with him across the country and some girl posted on tic-tok that she had slept with him the night before and i and then but she was like very nonchalant she was like it's a former bachelor whatever and then in the comment she's like it's Clayton Eckerd. And then everyone's freaking out and it like makes headlines, whatever. And she went down like to like to the grave, swearing that it was him until that she slept with before the bachelor. No. The night before I was supposed to go like drive with him. I remember the story, but I do need the details for us. Yes. Yeah. So like then as in like I'm filming a wedding in California and Clayton
Starting point is 00:21:45 had supposedly like slept with this girl the night before. Yeah. And I remember thinking Gabby and Rachel were on their cruise for Bachelorette and everything I was like is there room for a third Like damn like they still got room on the cruise or something Because I was like yo I just put everything on the line for this man and he's just slept with this girl I was I was like distraught and then Location Services everything like that I basically was like give me your evidence because like this girl is swearing to her grave That she slept with you last night and like I don't want to be that girl that's like oh I don't believe the woman that's
Starting point is 00:22:21 DMing me and like, hey girl, like, I'm so sorry to say this. I didn't know he had a girlfriend or whatever. Um, so like that made headlines. That was like pretty traumatic for him coming off of the show, which was tough for him. Like, he's just had a tough go at it. And it's all been public. That's the thing is I'm like, if somebody really cared, they DM you. But for someone to go on TikTok and blast you, it's like, that's for clout, you know? Why? Why? Why him? Easy target. You know, you. He was my target of many... Love to kick a man when he's down.
Starting point is 00:22:54 I'm just saying he was the butt of many of my TikTok jokes for a long time, you know? And I, like, adore him. I think he's a wonderful person. And, like, at one point, I, like, we were contemplating. He was like, maybe somehow my, this is so much TMI. My semen did get into that crevice. And somehow I do have two twins on the way. And I was like, I'm going to be a great auntie.
Starting point is 00:23:15 And you are going to be a great dad. And, like, I will support those children. Like, you know what? I was like, I will be like, like I will think the world of them and like you know I've like had this conversation because we're like well maybe this is a freak accident or this girl went and turkey basted herself that's what I was saying I was like thinking I don't know I remember in college thinking like what if I sat on a bed that a guy just done and then like somehow it seems through my pants but doesn't seem and die
Starting point is 00:23:41 when it touches air no it's got like 30 seconds or something does it or maybe 15 but like I looked it up you could put it in your mouth and then put it in a baster and then squirt it up and it's It's all about temperature. Oh, that's a long time. You can turkey base for that. Yes. That's crazy. That's plenty of time.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And, oh, God, I can't go to details. But I was like, there's a scenario in which that could have happened and the way that that went down that night. Yeah, we know. We know that there was some moral. Yeah, exactly. Like, it's come out. So it's like, it could have happened.
Starting point is 00:24:12 And so in my brain, I'm like, you never know. What crazy. So that's why I was like, maybe she is pregnant. But like, I believe you that you didn't have sex with her. like it's just a lot but I just hope I honestly said this on a podcast recently I wouldn't mind being the person that like does a documentary on this because this is not the first time she's done this to a man oh okay well Susie is going to do the documentary because you're so good at photography and storytelling thank you so let's do it maybe Netflix or wait really
Starting point is 00:24:42 can you be like the on screen host you don't want to host on screen I can see that you don't want to do the hosting no I would love to do like the producing Oh, that would be so good. We should do it. So wait, I have this idea, and I'm not, I would get in trouble if I said the origin of the idea, but we should do, like, crime stories that came from the bachelor. Like, not, like, from the bachelor, but, like, from contestants and, like, their backgrounds. Do you see?
Starting point is 00:25:08 That's so funny. Wait, there's another. I was like, I need the origin after this is off. Yeah, I'll tell you. I'll tell you later. I think people might be like, I know exactly what Ashley's thinking, because I've been thinking a bit for, like, the eight years. That she's been on the show
