Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth About Sorority Life with your host, me, Gia Judice, Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Fessler. Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush. I'm Gia Judice and today I am joined by Georgia Gay to talk all about her new Bravo
Starting point is 00:02:35 Microdrama Campus Confidential Miami. All right Georgia, how are you? I'm so good. Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to talk with you today. So am I. I was so interested. I mean, I was watching your Peacock series and then after yours it even went into another
Starting point is 00:02:55 series that was like the Miami micro influencers. So tell me a little bit about that. Your new Bravo microdrama just came out on Peacock Campus Confidential Miami. How are you feeling about it? How did this opportunity first even come to you? Yeah, it's been so fun. It's been a week since it aired. So it's been exciting to get, you know, all the media from it and see what people are saying.
Starting point is 00:03:22 They first, producers first reach out to me. I think back in like September. They had seen one of my parents' weekend blogs with my mom. And they were like, oh my gosh, what is this crazy? You Miami life. So they DM'd me. And then, yeah, we just interviewed from there. And now here we are.
Starting point is 00:03:38 It's been a fun journey. That's awesome. Were you nervous at all to share your personal sorority process? Yeah, I think I definitely was. I was scared of like feedback, you know, from my ex-sourty sisters about, you know, sharing my journey. It was definitely scary, but I feel like having dropped before I had to talk about everything, it made it a little bit easier because I already had to go through the whole, you know, being the girl that dropped from her sorority. So what was that process like since
Starting point is 00:04:13 the microdrama has come out? Have you had any of your ex-sority sisters come at you with their opinions or even reach out to you since then? Yeah, there's been a couple, girls who have reached out, which is so nice and, you know, they've been sweet. But I mean, there's also the other side of it where people are mad, people are angry that, you know, I'm kind of talking badly about, you know, my sorority because my experience, you know, had its downs for sure. So yeah, there's definitely been some backlash. And when these girls reached out to you, were they the same girls that you were in touch with when you first rushed? Or were these new girls that, you were. You know, you never really spoke to before.
Starting point is 00:04:55 They were girls that I had been in touch with during rush. And, you know, we had, like, formed friendships because we were in the sorority. But, yeah, like I kind of talked about on campus confidential, you know, my friendships just weren't strong in my sorority. So, yeah, once it aired, and I think I, like, talked about dropping and stuff, people kind of realized the experience I was going through. And so then a few girls reached out. and, you know, gave their condolences and, you know, said they were happy for me and with my decision.
Starting point is 00:05:30 So, yeah, it's been a mix for sure. So let's rewind back to the beginning. What made you decide you wanted to attend the University of Miami in the first place? Yeah. So originally, I was kind of, I always knew I wanted to go out of state. But I was looking at California schools because Utah and California, they're pretty close. And my older sister had gone to the University of Santa Barbara. And she was also in the sorority there.
Starting point is 00:05:52 So I was really looking at California, but then kind of on a whim because of the whole, you know, Alex or all of it all and, you know, UMI amy blowing up on social media. I was like, wait, maybe UMI amy could be a fun option. So I ended up applying and then I got in and it kind of just felt right once I went through the whole college application process. I was like, I think UMMI might be the choice. So yeah. I mean, UMI, Miami looks like a great place. But I feel like there definitely is a lot of pressure around it. My youngest sister, Adriana, actually wants to attend the University of Miami. She's definitely, but after watching your microdrama, I'm like, I don't know. But listen, I think there's definitely a lot of pressure around it, even just seeing the way that Alex Earle blew up just from
Starting point is 00:06:41 TikTok going to University of Miami, I think University of Miami obviously blew up overall, even more so after that happened with Alex. I mean, everyone obviously knew. of University of Miami, even when I was in school at Rutgers. I wanted to transfer there. It just always looked like such a fun environment as well as obviously such an amazing school. So kudos to you for even getting in because it's incredible. That's also just a big pat on the back. But overall, she's looking at Florida schools all over. So I'm like, I just feel like there's a lot of pressure there to begin with. Yes, for sure. And I mean, I kind of, have talked about this a little bit, but I feel like even though my experience was, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:28 so tumultuous at the University of Miami, I feel like I would still recommend the school because it's just such an incredible college experience. I mean, you're in the middle of a huge city, like Miami. It's a really New York City on the water. And, you know, they have the Greek life, but they have the city life. And, you know, there's just so many aspects to that college, plus the academics are amazing. So yeah, I feel like everyone can have their own experience. And just because, you know, my path was a little different, I feel like people still have, you know, so much success at that school.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Before going through recruitment, were you nervous about how girls would perceive you with your mom being in the spotlight? Yeah, for sure. I definitely was worried. I was a little hopeful that it would, you know, maybe give me a little bit of an edge, because I knew how rigorous the Greek life process was at the University Miami. I mean, I'm not going to lie and I'm not going to say this. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I'm going to say this in the most humbling way possible. But I feel as though because our moms are on, you know, reality TV and on a huge platform like Bravo, on a huge network like Bravo. We obviously have a lot of public attention from that, especially I know that you were featured on the Real House of Salt Lake City as well. So your face was known. I would think that that would help you throughout your sorority recruitment process, but do you feel like that hurt you in any way? I feel like it actually helped because I actually found out after the process that they had actually
Starting point is 00:09:10 had a set list and my name was all on the list. They do. They do. Yeah. Yeah. When you go through the recruitment process, I was a Zeta at Rutgers University. then my sophomore year and junior year, I kind of saw the behind the scenes of the recruitment process.
Starting point is 00:09:29 And it's almost like they are investigating every single potential PNM that is coming in. And so they're really doing a whole background check on every new member. And it is kind of a crazy process, but they are basing you really on and judging you based on your Instagram and your background and what they know about you. And it can sound a little surface level, but at first it is. And then as you go through the recruitment process and obviously have your rounds. And as you go and meet with each sorority house, they get to know you better on a more personal level. And then really, you know, figure out who they want and who they don't want.
Starting point is 00:10:15 But at first, it's very surface level. and they just kind of see who they want. I think that's my least favorite part about, like, the rush process is that not everyone gets that, like, clean slate. And I just, like, luckily, I was on the right side of it, but there's so many girls on the wrong side of it. And it's just not fair, you know? No, it's not. And it ultimately doesn't give everyone a fair shot, to be honest with you. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:10:43 You end up hell with weekend gold tickets to Lassau Montreal. Thomas Rett. Mumford and Sons Well here's my pride And here's my shame John Party, Old Dominion, Carly Pierce, and more And the prize gets even sweeter

We're going to have these meaningful conversations with the world's most fascinating people, like when actress Olivia Munn shared how she overcame fierce health challenges that she never saw coming. I've gone through breast cancer and then helped my mother through breast cancer, and that was more difficult. There's a lot of
Starting point is 00:11:59 people who understand postpartum depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Olympic champ Sean Johnson revealed why she had no choice but to be a gymnast. There was something about gymnastics that was intoxicating to me. It's given me a belief that we all have one of those treasures inside of us. We just have to find it. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. is Paris Hilton, Shakira, Luke and Yerin, Samira, and Gracie! I'm so excited on the bouncy bed! You have surprises?
Starting point is 00:12:38 Many surprises. Welcome to Sweet 305, where the group chat comes to life. What a f***! It's like a way to say like, Ohla, my friend, oh, my friend, hello, oh, my brother, what a... Look, I never have to have to be about with my kids. Except with my children, my son.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I'm a man. Oof! Punch, king! Yeah, the telenovela. You're the only person I know that loves a yellow starburst. It's lemonade. And no, there's someone. I'd like to collaborate with this person.
Starting point is 00:13:14 This is Sweet 305. Listen to Sweet 305 with Lele Pons as part of my Cultura podcast network on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Because their new star is Javier T. Torito Hernandez. Everyone sees me as a football player, but before anything else, I'm human. Every single day I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions, ever since I was born. And I still have so many questions. Where do we come from?
Starting point is 00:13:47 What happens after death? How do you deal with cancellation? Cristiano or Messi? Do aliens exist? What is love? Real Madrid or Barza? From every day and ordinary to the deep and extraordinary. This isn't a normal podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Everything here is spontaneous, real and genuine. podcast is like a deep talk with your closest friends where vulnerability comes out conspiracy theories end up on the table and goals and lessons are shared. All in this life has an order perfect and everything is just. Wait me. I'm here to connect. We are here to connect. The Chicharito. I'm Javier Tchartreli. And together with IHA Radio, we're going to make the ordinary, extraordinary, extraordinary. Stay close. It is a carac.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Wow. Listen to learning to be human on IHad Radio, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What surprised you the most about sorority life once you were actually in it? Yeah, I feel like kind of the coldiness of it. Like, it really does feel like, I don't know, like you kind of get really tied up in the aspect of like, oh, these are our letters and like only us 100 girls are like in the PC and, you know, we're all like tied to this name and you start like doing, we had like baby meetings where we would, you know, kind of like learn the background of the sorority. And, you know, they really tried to get you
Starting point is 00:15:13 just like kind of tied up in the culture. So I think there's like good aspects of that for like philanthropy and that kind of stuff. But also it's just a little bit interesting to be like, oh, since I'm, I have these letters like it makes me, you know, kind of the royalty of the school. It feels weird. Yeah. And I don't know how it goes at or how it went at the University of Miami. me, but once we, you know, were initiated into our sororities at Rutgers, it was very much so like we were all a family in a way. Greek life was very, you know, I only saw people that were in Greek life, but we did mix with other sororities. We mixed with other fraternities. I was friends with girls and other sororities. I think it's also what you make it. And I know the pressure could seem a little
Starting point is 00:16:07 heightened at first and when you first initiated it was sorority. But I, you know, as the years went on, I really, I wasn't like your rah-rah sorority girl. I really wasn't.
Starting point is 00:16:23 And, you know, freshman year it was fun because it did give you that, you know, leeway to meet other people. But then as you go on, you've realized that Greek life is not everything. And ultimately, if I didn't want to be in a sorority anymore like my sophomore, junior or senior year, I really didn't
Starting point is 00:16:44 have to. But of course, you know, it is, you know, a great thing to really just, you know, having your back pocket, it's always great to put on your resume and just to follow with you post-college. But ultimately, it's not everything. Yeah, totally. And I had the same experience for a freshman year, it was just so much fun. And it was like a great way to just have a community of girls and be like, we're all going to these parties and like we're all going to these events. And, you know, it was fun to have that, you know, kind of instant friendship at a new school. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:19 If you could change one thing about Greek life culture, what would it be? Definitely frat culture. I just think it completely messes up our society. Like I could write an essay about this. I just think it's like the whole hazing process still hasn't been addressed enough. I mean, we've seen Dr. Henry's and, you know, people kind of know the truth, but it's still much a very, like, taboo. We don't talk about it topic.
Starting point is 00:17:48 And so I just think there needs to be changes. Like, it should be illegal the hazing process. I couldn't agree with you more. The things that I remember when I was in school and just hearing some of the things my friends would have to do. And it was, it was crazy. And they were always, it was, they were always on call, especially when they were in their, in their hell week.
Starting point is 00:18:11 And I was like, that was crazy. But how have your sorority friendships changed since dropping? Definitely changed a lot. Kind of just non-existent, I would say. I mean, I had a couple of girls reach out after the show and they were like, you know, we could always grab coffee, but it's never going to be the same type of friendship again, I know, for sure. And I feel like it makes sense, you know, if you're still in the sorority, you're still in that mindset. And it's like, if someone drops, it's like, what? Like, it feels very out of the ordinary.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Yeah. So during that micro drama, you had your three friends that you were kind of talking to and in the mix with. The one girl was Sienna. Do you still talk to her? Yes, I still talk to Sienna. She is so great. She definitely got the brunt of you Miami's dark side of social media. She got like so much hate for this drama that went down. And, you know, I really felt for her because I just feel like there shouldn't be so much like hatred. I feel like college kids can be like so hateful and I hate that. So yeah, we're still friends and I think she's a great girl and it was so fun filming with her. Good. While filming the micro drama, those girls were they genuinely the closest girls that you felt to at the University of Miami? Do you also feel, and did you bring them into the microdrama? Yeah. So I brought Sophia into the microdrama. She's not a sorority. And we met earlier that year. And I feel like she was my closest friend at the university at that time. Ciena, we actually hadn't met since like right before the show. But luckily we clicked and, you know, it worked out great. But yeah, at that time, I really was just kind of figuring out my life and wasn't, you know, hanging out with a friend group like every single weekend. So I definitely had more just like personal friendships versus like my group of girls. Got it.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Because I was just very interested if you also felt like these girls were also just, you know, kind of hanging around for the exposure of the microdrama. And I know that's such a shitty thing to. say, but unfortunately, being in the limelight in the spot like that we are in, we do have to be very cautious of the people that we allow into our lives and how vulnerable we are. And I know it's so, you know, I know it's so like unfair to say that and for us to have to think like that, but it's something that I constantly tell my sisters about and it's something that I'm very cautious about still to this day. And I, you know, I've gone through college. I'm 25 now. And it's,
Starting point is 00:21:00 It's very much so, you know, the people that you let in, you have to be very guarded because sometimes you don't know what their intentions are. Yeah, for sure. Luckily, I feel like with Sienna, we're kind of similar in the way that like we both want to be in the limelight more, you know? So yeah, I feel like that wasn't an issue for her. And with Sophia, she, um, kind of veered off the show, honestly after like the first time we filmed, um, because she kind of wants to go more like the finance round. She's like, what if this ruins my chances at Wall Street? I'm like, it won't, okay.
Starting point is 00:21:35 But yeah, she actually didn't want to film after the first episode, which made it a little hard because I was like, who am I supposed to film with now? Yeah. Well, listen, you have to respect the grind. I understand that because my sister Gabriella is, you know, venturing into that field. So you have to respect it.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah. Do you feel like being an influencer has ever hurt your friend? friendships? I feel like it's made tension in friendships because I don't know, like some people don't want to put themselves out there. So then when they see you putting yourself out there, they're like, oh, like they feel a little bit, I don't know, maybe like jealous of it or like they feel less confident. And so it kind of adds a little bit of tension. They're like, why are you filming a TikTok right now? Like we're just hanging out. But yeah, other than that, I feel. like I, now I'm trying to align myself more with friendships with people who kind of see life
Starting point is 00:22:34 in the same way I do and kind of, you know, want more for themselves, want bigger things for themselves. So they're, you know, kind of headed in the same direction. Close your eyes and you can hear the entire world come alive. 2026 FIFA World Cup is on and you can stream it all live on. TSN Radio. Starting point is 00:24:44 Oh, my God, hello, my friend, hello, hello, my brother. What a . Look, I've never I've ever had to have evered with my kids, my kids, my children, Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:54 C, my amante. Uff! That's incredible, yeah, the telenovela. You're the only person I know that loves a Yellow Starburst. It's a woman. There's not anyone that you like you say,
Starting point is 00:25:08 I'd like to collaborate with this person. This is Sweet 305. Listen to Sweet 305 with Lele Pons as part of my Culture Podcast Network on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast,
Starting point is 00:25:21 or wherever you get your podcasts. And there's a ton of exciting to me because their new star is Javier Chichorito and Andes is from Mexico he was going to be a musician. Everyone sees me as a football player, but before anything else,
Starting point is 00:25:37 I'm human. Every single day I'm still learning how to live with problems mistakes, relationships, emotions ever since I was born. And I still have so many questions. Where do we come from? What happens after death?

Starting point is 00:25:58 Everything here is spontaneous, real and genuine. This podcast is like a deep talk with your closest friends, where vulnerability comes out. Conspiracy theories end up on the table and goals and lessons are shared. life has an order
Starting point is 00:26:11 perfect and all is just. Wait me. I'm going to be able to get to connect. The Chicharito.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Oh, Javier Chicharro-Nandes and together with I-Hard Radio. We're going to make the ordinary extraordinary. Stay close.
Starting point is 00:26:23 It is a carac. Wow. Listen to learning to be human on IHard Radio, Apple Podcast, or whatever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:26:38 You talked about things being written about you on Yik Yak after you dropped. What's the wildest rumor you saw about yourself?
Starting point is 00:26:45 Oh my gosh. Oh, I just read this thing the other day and it was like Georgia wants to have like different friends for tokens for her social media. Like people have like different backgrounds. I'm like that is literally the wildest most out of pocket thing I've heard. And it just like it makes me so angry because like I think that was the first time I realized people can literally just put out like whatever they want and it can have like no merit. and they just run with it. So I think that was kind of a wake-up call that, like, pure lies can just be said on social media. And, you know, as long as you know who you are, there's no need to, you know, have to feel like you have to defend yourself till you're blue in the face.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Absolutely not. People will put out things in the press on social media, all of it. And 90% of the time, it is a lie. So don't let anything affect you. I remember yikyak in college. I honestly thought it was comical and I can't believe they still use it today. I know. It's like it's so embarrassing. And like I would feel like embarrassment anytime I like that curiosity got to me. I'm like, okay, I'll redownload it and like see what they say. And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:27:59 no, just keep it. No, just keep it deleted. I mean, it's a pointless app anyway. Do you think your priorities today are different than when they were freshman year? A thousand percent. Oh my gosh. My priorities. freshman year, we're just like party, party, party, have as much fun as possible, live for the plot. And I love that. I had so many amazing memories in such an incredible time. I feel like now I kind of got that wild part out of my system. And I kind of want to, you know, be more grounded in my life and kind of put like career stuff first. Your mom didn't get the sorority experience at college in Utah. Did she push you to rush because of that? No, I honestly just wanted to rush.
Starting point is 00:28:49 I was really excited. We rush in spring at the University of Miami. So it was kind of something that was talked about like all throughout fall semester. So yeah, she didn't really have much of an input. I think she was excited for me to rush. And my older sister had rushed. So that was kind of another inspo. But yeah, I think I was just excited for the process. Like I want to to get my fun outfits. I wanted to, you know, be on rush talk and like see the whole experience. So, yeah. During rush, did people recognize you for being Heather's daughter? I know we kind of talked about that it was, you know, definitely used to your advantage a little bit. But did people ever mentioned that to you during the rush process? No, they definitely avoided it during the rush process.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Good. They did their job. Yeah, they did their job. So no, they never, they never brought it up. Did you want to go to school in Miami to get away from Utah? Or like, what was your, I know you said you always wanted to be out of state, but what was really the reason for it? Was it because of Utah? Was it because of, you know, your mom being well known on the real house as a Salt Lake City? What was really your mindset?
Starting point is 00:29:58 Or did you just want to experience and go far? Yeah, I think a little bit of everything. I really just wanted to get out of Utah and like have a new experience and live in a new city. really wanted just like that epitome college experience. And I knew I wouldn't get that staying in Utah because, you know, I would still be in the bubble of the same people. And I wanted to break out of that and have like a fresh big start. I love that. As you mentioned, your sister, Ashley, was an alpha fee at Santa Barbara. Did she have a positive sorority experience or was it anything similar to yours? Yeah. She actually loved her sorority for all four years.
Starting point is 00:30:41 She was, I think she was on the leadership team or something in that category. She loved Alpha Phi and she met some of like the funnest girls and they, you know, would all stay in the same houses and she lived on the water. It was really fun. And it was fun for me to kind of see her experience and get excited for my own. How did you support you during your own experience and as you were kind of going through that hard time at Miami? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:08 I feel like, you know, we were in different. different states. So we would just FaceTime and text and she was always there for me. But yeah, I think it was hard to understand the, just like the culture at you, Miami and just how, I don't know, it's just so specific and so, like when you're in the culture, you just feel like that's all there is.
