This is an I-Heart podcast.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Wait a minute, Sam.
Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, luckily, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.
Maybe find out how it ends by listening to the OK Storytime podcast and the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Everyone thinks they'd never join a cult. But it happens all the time to people just like you.
And people just like us. I'm Lola Blanc and I'm Megan Elizabeth. We're the hosts of Trust Me, a podcast about cults, manipulation, and the
psychology of belief. Each week we talk to fellow survivors, former believers, and experts to
understand why people get pulled in and how they get out. Trust me, new episodes every Wednesday
on exactly right. Listen wherever you get your podcasts. This is the Ben and Ashley I, almost
famous podcast with Iheart Radio. It's almost famous podcast. We're here today with one of our
favorite people in the world. Susan Knowles, Susan, we have so much talk to you about, but I'm going to kick
it off with this. I just interviewed Demi about the show you both were on, got to get out.
Yes. She said you were her comfort is her quote. Is that true?
I was her mommy. I adopted her. What they didn't show was me on my hands and knees begging
her for forgiveness because I didn't ask her to escape with me one time and she got upset.
She was great. She is just too cute. She's Barbie. She is Barbie. She is Barbie. Put her in a
box she is so freaking cute um okay so for those of you who haven't listened to the demi
interview that ben did got to get out is a hulu show and claire's on it susan's on it and demi
on it so those are our people along with a whole bunch of other a list reality stars and some
random people and it's a competition to to win as much money as possible but like you do so by
escaping a house.
Well, you get a clue.
You need a clue.
Wait, why do you need a clue to escape the house?
Well, you can't just escape.
So all the windows are locked and you go into this ticket room and they either they say no exit strategy or you get a clue, which I happen to get quite a few.
Screwed them up, but I got a lot of them.
You're good at this stuff.
Now, I mean, this is obviously a whole new.
We've been around you a lot of the last, you know, year and a half since you've been on the show.
This is obviously, I think your first time entering into another reality show.
Yes, yes.
Demi had great things to say about this show.
But from your experience, how was this show different than The Bachelor?
For starters, they were way more lenient.
We would get our phone in the afternoon for like 20 minutes to check in with family or agents or whatever.
Yeah, it was chill.
It was so fun.
And I wasn't competing for a man and to find love.
I was making meatballs and dancing with Val from Dancing with the Stars.
Yeah, when you're not escaping, like, what are you doing?
You're watching the windows to see if somebody else is.
So if you watch the show towards the end, after I tell Rashad, he's dead to me,
I go, all right, you people haven't seen this side of me.
I'm playing defense because nobody's getting out now.
because I have the chance to split the money at the end.
Yeah.
Now, I flew.
I'm the oldest person in the house.
I went from the roof through a 190-degree attic down two flights of stairs to hit that button.
Because nobody was going to escape.
It's amazing to me this concept of the show.
Demi described it terrifically the concept of the show that it was fun,
that's lighthearted, that drama wasn't the focused of what is aired on television.
Jim, she did add something interesting to me.
She said that it was a dry house, no alcohol involved.
No alcohol, none.
How did you feel about that?
That didn't bother me.
Although I had to have some brought in because I made chicken puccotti and I need white wine.
And what's her name, Kim, what the house was?
She was like, she was going through convulsions.
And I said, come in a kitchen.
I just sneak a little.
Pull and out, Kim.
All right, that's so interesting.
Why would they make it dry for a rebuttons?
reality show you sometimes you need a little something to spice it up yeah well it was spiced up because
you start as friends and then you start second guessing people and then i just remember calling
somebody judas because it sounds amazing it was it had a blast so i didn't understand when
they do their edits that's their business but all of our challenges i wish those challenges were
you would not believe what we did.
I don't know if I'm allowed to say what we did, so.
We'll try.
Yeah.
We'll try.
Tell us something.
I'm straight jackets.
That's what I'll tell you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's perfect.
Now you have, you got to get out of them locked up with Demi.
Demi, Demi, Demi head was hilarious.
We were the third pair to get out to do some.
You know what I, I hated all these.
women that were on the show, especially
that Athena, I mean, that body
the way she dressed, she came
up to me a couple nights before it was
over saying, why doesn't anybody pick
me? She comes to breakfast, we're all
having coffee, me and the guys in Omarosa
in the morning. She comes walking, I go,
that's why. You got stilettos
on a skin-tight
negligee. Where the hell are you
running? I mean, come on, where's your
sneakers? So I paid attention
to my packing list.
was mortified. Every woman on there looked amazing. Not me. I had du rag, sneakers. I was ready to
run. I didn't know what I was up against. If I have to do it again, I'm bringing a gown.
I mean, seriously. Well, that's the beauty of this. And this question is leading us into
the second chapter of what we want to talk to you about today. But one of the fun parts about
talking to Demi was finding out who surprised her. Now, obviously, you didn't know the other
contestants when you signed up for the show you should walk into the mansion you see a group full of
reality television rookies along with reality television a listers who surprised you the most
outside of demi because we've talked to demi on your connection with them your vibe with them
definitely val val and i were we were bonnie and clad when i got on the bus we weren't allowed to look
at anybody and i saw them and we did one of these three each other
It was like a thumbs up.
Like, I know you.
Oh, you knew him before this.
Yeah, but I've been to dancing with, yeah.
No, I've been to dancing with the stars.
Yeah, I've been begging to get on that show.
That's what I put out to the universe, baby.
All right, all right.
That is coming.
That is coming.
That is coming my way.
It's out here again now.
I feel like it might be because we were assuming you would be on Paradise.
That would be your next step.
But today.
Yes, you see why.
You have announced that you will not be on Paradise, basically.
because you have a boyfriend.
I do.
I mean, does this bum you out?
You know what?
It does bum me out
because I wanted to be and see everybody,
but I can't honestly say
I'm looking for love.
I'm not.
I have it.
Yeah.
And I waited a long time for this.
There's some struggles,
you know,
he lives far away.
It's a long distance
and a language thing.
Yeah.
Where does he live?
He lives in St. Martin.
He's been there 10 years.
He's from,
France. And I'm means. Yes, I'm learning. And Patty. So you have said that there is the language barrier and that you guys use a translator app to do a lot of your communication. When we call each other every night, it's Skype. But what Skype words tell me, I go, babe, you're not saying this. I take pictures of the words and he starts cracking up. It doesn't work that well. But,
He speaks a lot of English now.
He does really well.
He'll get stuck here and there.
But if it's something, he'll go, this is important.
And we go and get our phones.
So we make sure we get it right.
Are you mostly giggling?
It's blast.
Oh, we laugh like crazy.
We dance like crazy.
He's me.
This is beautiful.
Now, how many times have you seen him in person?
So I've been back since I met him four times and I'm going back next Sunday for the fifth time.
A lot.
So I got hurt there.
We were hiking.
His son was going to surf.
And you parked the car up and announced Marcel, and it's a 25-minute hike.
I'm not going to shape.
And I'm huffing and puffing, but I make it.
And almost there.
And my foot, I came down on a hill and my foot hit gravel and it slid.
And I went to break my fall.
And oh, my, oh, my darling, give me your hand.
I go, no, I think I'm.
broken, I broke it. It took an hour and ten minutes to get back to the car, to get to the hospital. Oh, it was a nightmare. I just had surgery. It's nuts.
My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly and now I'm seriously suspicious. Well, wait a minute, Sam. Maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit. Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the okay story time podcast. So we'll find out soon. This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his
young professor a lot. He doesn't think
it's a problem, but I don't trust her. Now he's
insisting we get to know each other, but I just
want her gone. Now hold up. Isn't
that against school policy? That sounds
totally inappropriate. Well, according to this person,
this is her boyfriend's former professor
and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them. I mean, do you believe
him? Well, he's certainly trying to get this person
to believe him because he now wants them
both to meet. So, do we find
out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with
his professor or not? To hear the
explosive finale, listen to the OK Storytime
podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
December 29th,
1975, LaGuardia Airport.
The holiday rush.
Parents hauling luggage, kids
gripping their new Christmas toys.
Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything
changed.
There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal.
Apparently, the
Explosion actually impelled metal glass.
The injured were being loaded into ambulances, just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay.
Terrorism.
Law and order, criminal justice system is back.
In season two, we're turning our focus to a threat that hides in plain sight.
That's harder to predict and even harder to stop.

The U.S. Open is here, and on my podcast, Good Game with Sarah Spain, I'm breaking down the players from rising stars to legends chasing history, the predictions, well, we see a first time winner, and the pressure.
Billy Jean King says pressure is a privilege, you know.

I have some good memories from St. Martin.
By the way, there's a worst place you could go and visit somebody.
I had my, it wasn't my first, but it was my first big outing with alcohol on Orient Beach.
We love Orient, yeah.
So what happened?
Yeah, it was, it's a wild day, especially because it's a nude beach.
That's my memory of it
But everybody's topless there
Anyhow, it's French
St. Martin is an amazing place to go visit
I love it, I love it
This makes me happy for you
But I'm really sad
We're not going to see you on other beaches
Why?
Oh, Lake Paradise Beach
You'll make an appearance for sure
Well, I just need a different show now
I mean, you can't stop me now
I love this
I wouldn't be surprised to see you
On Dancing with the Stars
Especially since you've been dance practicing
with your boyfriend
who you met on Tinder and were you on vacation?
Kathy and I went away.
We go every year.
I've been going to St. Martin every year for a long, long time.
And Kathy and I, this was our second year.
Nancy didn't come this year.
And she went to bed.
I had an espresso martini after dinner.
And I'm laying in bed going, oh, great, I can't sleep.
I'm playing games.
And I went, let me try Tinder.
Downloaded it.
First one I saw, swiped, and I got off.
And I didn't go back on it for three days.
When I did,
And he messaged you?
Immediately.
Yeah.
And what did he say?
I don't remember.
Were you scared about meeting a man on a foreign island?
Kathy was.
She gave me a hard time, girlfriend.
Oh, he wasn't allowed to in the house.
I made her come on the first date to translate a little bit
because she speaks a little bit of French.
I put a video out when those two were trying to communicate.
Kathy talked to him in Spanish, French, and English.
and you see Frederico and Ketti, Keti, please, one language, just one.
And she interrupts them, it's Kathy.
But she ends up, she loves him now.
Yeah.
But it was, it wasn't easy.
He said, I hope, number one, do you like to dance?
Number two, I hope your French is better than my English.
And number three, bring ear pods.
I said, oh, I could dance and I have earpods.
pods, still. So when I got there, he took my phone, he put an app on there, and we communicated,
Kathy left after about five, 10 minutes, and we sat for three and a half hours talking. And I finally,
you know, it's me. I said, Tim, you know, where I come from, when I go to meet somebody or
on a date with someone, I usually make eye contact. I can't even tell you will color your eyes
or you start cracking up. I think that was the moment that we really connected, because we both thought
that was funny.
He started holding the phone up next to his year.
Oh.
It was good.
It was good.
Susan, this is incredible.
We need to celebrate this.
Did he know you were famous?
No.
No, the next day.
Yeah.
Because he went home and probably Googled me.
We did the WhatsApp thing.
And he was sending me pictures of myself.
And I was like, where, where are you doing?
Are you Googling me?
Yeah.
He had no idea.
I can't blame him.
I can't blame him.
I think it's.
fair he has to do his research all right uh susan uh if you had 45 seconds to tell listeners
why they should watch got to get out what would you say i can't make this shit up what i do
on that show and you will not even believe the stuff that i do and not even on purpose like
i'm just me so you saw me on golden bachelor unapologetically authentically authentically susan wait to
you see this one.
I love it.
That's so good.
Gotta get out premiered April 11th on Hulu.
You can find it streaming right now.
All the episodes are out there.
So go and binge it, go and watch it one at a time.
But you'll see Susan do things that are unapologetically hurt and outrageous.
Has your man come to visit you yet?
Not yet.
Because I got hurt there and then I went to rehab there.
I mean, he took care of me like no other.
And he cooks.
Like, you don't know.
Oh, good.
She's in love, Ashley.
Yeah.
I miss you guys.
I miss you, too.
Thanks for jumping on, Susan.
