This is an I-Heart podcast.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack,

Does anyone know what show they've come to see?

This person writes, my boyfriend's been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Hold up. Isn't that against school policy? That seems inappropriate.

Now, let's get back to our interview.
This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHartRadio.
Hey, it's almost famous podcast. Ben here.
We're at the reunion special with The Bachelor in Paradise cast.
I have the honor, the privilege, the pleasure of sitting down.
With some of the winners from this season,
Andrew and Alex, you have been here forever.
You are tired, so I hope you say all the things that we want to hear.
Yeah. This is what the show does to us.
This is literally how they get everyone.
Get you drunk and tired.
We'll just wear you out.
We did sit through the reunion today.
Yep.
I am going to touch on a few things where there was some controversy surrounding you two.
I didn't even know that was going to be a part of it today.
I didn't know that was even a thing, really.
It was, so I need a lot of education on it.
But I'm going to start with something that Wells said.
And we love to quote Wells here.
We respect Wells and love Wells here at the Almost Famous podcast.
He said, and this is no knock on any other couple here.
I want to be clear on that.
But he said that you two were the cutest couple to see born from paradise.
How does that make you feel?
I mean, we did pay him, but.
Out of our check.
Out of her pick check that we won.
But no, I think, you know, he, Wells was there the whole time and he was able to observe all of us.
And I feel like coming from him meant a lot.
And I feel like a lot of our conversations, a lot of our interactions weren't shown on the screen, unfortunately.
And I wish, we both wish that that were shown.
I would say, I would say the biggest thing, though, is we hung out with, like, the community.
Yeah.
So it was never like one on one time with me and Alex.
We were together like next to each other,
but we were always involved with everyone's conversation,
always like just with like a listening ear to whoever needs to be listening to you.
So like we were just being good castmates at the same time.
And also just like, I don't know, we're buying like,
you know when you you're dating someone and you guys hang out in the kitchen with the family?
Yeah.
That's literally what it was.
It was like, yeah.
Was that strategic and intentional?
Because I just got done talking to.
I'm just such a social butter.
I'll say I love to like talk to people it just felt good to just bounce off of everyone and then also talk things it's just like you get it gets weird to the point where you have to like okay here's a camera you guys sit down have your one-on-one talk talk about something I get awkward when it gets like too structured and that's just not her environment like to be in so I'm just like why I put her in a situation where it's going to make her feel weird let's just stay around everyone and if we have conversations that we want to bring up you just tell it to me right now and that's kind of how it was it's just like we just bounce off of everyone and
like the whole atmosphere.
That's just kind of how we...
I would imagine that actually helped you too
when it came to the end
because people were like,
no, I know who they are as a couple.
Yeah, exactly.
Because we were literally two people
would be us to you.
We'll talk to this group.
And we just went around talking...
But when you think about it,
I think it did help us.
Like, you know, with Keith and Kathy.
Like, I owe it to them that we...
I think the last...
This backstabbing challenge that we won
because we got so close to them
that they were like,
we couldn't vote for you for anything.
And I was like, if it wasn't for that,
I don't think we would have won.
So I owe them my life
But I think we just
Planted, not planted seat
That's not a good word
But we were just friendly with everyone
And I don't think like
We never got outside of ourselves
We never changed up
We never switched up who we were
I think like throughout the whole show
We just stayed consistent
Regardless of the money
But before the money we were the same
After the money we were the exact same
And if we would have went sent home
We got set home
But like we won the money
So everybody else
I'm just kidding
But yeah
But yeah
We're gonna get to the money
and what it's going towards.
We saw a little clip at the end of the episode.
I wonder, and forgive me,
you haven't been on Paradise before, right?
This is your first time.
This is your second?
Yeah.
Second time on Paradise?
Yeah.
Did you feel like, Andrew,
this was like your ability to kind of do this
was different because of this new environment,
structure, kind of the new paradise?
I find it extremely funny when people are like,
oh, this isn't the paradise I know and love.
Like, this isn't, they're not,
they're doing these challenges.
I'm like, we're doing something.
Yeah.
Like, if you're on those old beaches, you're sitting around waiting for a date card or someone to come down.
Like, you don't really do anything.
And the majority of the date or the show or the episode is someone on a date.
So it's like instead of like that, you just put a challenge in there so everyone's on the date, basically.
And I thought it was more fun.
Like for me, like being able to interact with Alex and like everyone else in a competitive way and a fun way,
after every challenge you come back and talk about it, talk about something that you did.
I thought it was massive.
You know, it did so much for everyone.
I think it's just way better than my first experience in Paradise.
It was hotter there, obviously.
And I was just more comfortable, but also it was easier to talk to people,
easier to, you know, just live there and be, like, understand where you're at in the environment.
I'm a massive fan, obviously, the voting out thing is kind of tough with, you know,
you're not knowing exactly everyone.
how far along they are in their couples but other than that like keep the challenges like
you loved it oh my god i haven't asked anybody that yet i mean and i don't know if i've had many
people who have been there before cat obviously uh sean i think was in paradise before but you're
the first person i thought about asking that too yeah did you enjoy it oh outside of this beautiful
thing here outside of the win like it was just fun like we we enjoyed we had things like we didn't
get any of the keys really when we were locked in the box no but it was still so much
We had a great time
Like we were cracking up
The tent one was amazing
Like I thought that was one of the
That was my favorite thing of the season
That was the best
And it was the most like
I was the most tested
In that relationship test
Oh my God dude
I overpromised myself
No it's because I overpromise
And I said oh I am a good
I'm like a camper
I'm like camper I know how to pitch a tent
And I showed up there
I didn't know how to do anything
Didn't do anything
And then like she's like
She's like you need to have more patience
And I'm like more cautious
looking at him doing nothing i'm dripping we just like break down laughing which was like one of my
favorite parts as well like we just like i'm just like i'm pissed off but i like we just start
busting out laughing and i was like wow okay like it's really not that big of a deal like i can
relax like i know i'm getting like heightened by this challenge but at the end of the day you're
just like kind of gives like a not an insight but like into what maybe future hurdles
working through things together you know we were pissed off but at the end of we're like it's not
that serious and like me started laughing so I think it helped in that sense to like
how do we work as a team yeah no and then we kept saying that like being the best team like
we just need to keep you just need to be a good team and you were like okay I'll be a good teammate then
me okay I'll be a good yeah faster I mean and it is one of the like most endearing things about
your relationship and I when well said it earlier I sat back and I was like it's true you guys laugh
a lot. Yeah. And you do. And I think there was a moment this season that I actually got protective
watching it because people were kind of criticizing you guys for your childlike behavior.
Is that, okay. So with that being said, is that something you want to keep in your relationship?
Oh my gosh. I woke up this morning. That's the first thing I said. I said my favorite thing about
our relationship is our childlike banter. I wouldn't, like, what do you mean? We have so much fun.
And then also like we come from really tough backgrounds like like growing up and I think one of the things that she told me it was like there wasn't a lot of like love or happiness in the house like and I was total opposite like same situation but my situation was just absolute love, absolute happiness because of like our family. So like my family structure, even though we were struggling and everything was like not perfect, we just loved to laugh and loved to.
be around each other. So I don't care when people say it's like, oh, they're childish. That is what I will
always have in my household is a chance that'll be like, okay, hey, we can laugh about it. It's not
that serious. And I always tell her, I was like, never panic. It's never, like, don't make a bad
situation worse. So I'm just like, what am I going to do, like being super serious about things?
It doesn't change how we're going to approach it, everything. We're going to do things the best
our ability and we're going to have fun doing it. So that's kind of like how. I almost lost my passport
coming here and I didn't panic.
Yeah, I was just like, I was like, okay, relax.
And then she's like, oh, found it.
I was like, look at that.
Look at that.
I mean, I think the only reason you could criticize it would be if it isn't progressing your relationship.
Yeah.
So, as you sit here today, it's been a few months since Paradise ended.
Right.
You're still arm in arm.
Yeah.
Oh, no, we have our battles.
We're not like laughing through.
But have your relationship progressed.
Because I'm upset and then he'll be laughing.
You'll say a joke and I'm like, it's not funny.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I laugh.
I'm a very serious person.
People don't understand that.
Yes, I will say.
I'm not like just giggles all the time.
Like I have a, I lock in like when I need to be locked in.
I'm like, I just don't take every situation too seriously.
Like you can't be taking everything too seriously in life.
Like everyone's like, he's 30 making TikToks with Greg.
Yeah, because we're having a great fucking time living.
You're getting paid for it.
But like, it's just like, it's just a lifestyle thing.
Like I don't want to, I don't want to, like that is my favorite part of my life is
being light and being able to share laughter with people
and I think laughing with Alex on the beach
was like the match made in heaven for me.
I'm like if, you know, it's going to sound so corny,
but I always say I want to be 80 years old on a porch
with my person and old and wrinkly
and if I can just have a good time
or just be, you know, laughing on that porch with you.
That's all that matters.
You are making me nervous for your hands at though
because we do need Andrew to walk out of here today.
I will not.
We need him to stand up at some point
And we know
We're good, big, right?
You practice at home to not
Yeah.
And I'm not even like a
I'm kidding.
You know,
how did you feel watching that?
I do want to know that scene
You guys are having a
It's like,
that's like us though.
Like, if you watched a couple episodes
before, she was like,
oh my God, my coochie sweaty
or something like that.
Oh, my gosh, I'm nervous.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's just like.
I have no filter.
It's not like a gross thing either.
We're not like, we don't have like,
we have manners.
It's you're miced.
You know what I mean?
So, like, people can hear loudly
because it's on a mic.
It's like, we're, like, screaming from the rafters.
Right, right, right.
Time in place.
It's a time and place.
And, um, no, we're just very comfortable with each other.
And she's got that, like, international vibe to you.
We're, like, they're overly comfortable with, like, sex and stuff.
You think I'm from Canada.
Canada, you're a French-Canadian.
I know, but we are very more, yeah.
It's so different.
It's so different.
It's so different.
Talking about even you met my friends and he was like...
I'm sitting there and they're, like,
they're just way too close.
Yeah. I'm like, I'm like waiting for some video or
me or something like the pop-up. I'm just like, wow, wow, wow, what are you showing everybody?
But definitely I think it's your culture that we're just so...
No, your culture, your culture is unhinged.
My name is Ed. Everyone say hello, Ed.
I'm from a very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin.
So like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke, but that really was my reality.
nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up,
but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian
with a story that no one expected to hear.
On 22nd of July 2015,
a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer
walks into a comedy club?

Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
And it's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?

Tell you how to manage your money again
Welcome to Brown Ambition
This is the hard part
When you pay down those credit cards
If you haven't gotten to the bottom
Of why you were racking up credit
Or turning to credit cards
You may just recreate the same problem
A year from now
When you do feel like you are
bleeding from these high interest rates. I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan,
starting with your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because
they tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive
in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card debt
when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's nice and
dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding it
and in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Okay, I have to put you
on to these leggings I've been obsessed with lately. They're from this brand called Tona and get this,
the designer behind them also created Lulu Lemon, so they know what they're doing. These leggings are
next level. Think buttery soft, super flattering, and very comfortable. But they're also very supportive
in the right places. So I started wearing them when the kids and I go out to play, and now I'm basically
living in them 24-7. And here's what makes them even better. With every payer you buy,
it helps fund a mental health counseling session for a teen in need. Isn't that so awesome?
Tona is on a mission to end teen suicide and self-harm,
which we think is so important and so incredible of them.
So we partnered with Tona to give you 20% off your order and free shipping.

I will say this. I think all of this is so good. I'm not the relationship expert. I'm not the one
to be the judger of good in this. I just think it's fun. And I think Wells is right. It's cute.
I think it's something that not every couple can have, but when it does exist, it's a beautiful thing.
This is nothing but, hey, I loved watching it. I loved your dynamic. I think it was so fun.
And I do think it is one of the reasons why you two made it to the end. And I was so happy you did.
one of the
cutest most emotional moments
for me this whole season
was at the very end
when you get up
and you meet Andrew
on the plateau
and you said
I'm not good at giving speeches
and he goes
I know I know
and it just felt like
he knew you in that moment
so much more than I would expect him to
for the time being
I want to also add into this
you said during the reunion
that you're awkward
I think these two things go together
tell us about what that means to you to be awkward to know that you're not going to be good at it
and for him just to look at you and smile so i think it's almost like that moment where i'm just
back it up a little bit when we both expressed her feelings to each other and i was nervous to say
i love you and you said no no he held my hand and he said it first it was at first at first i
at first i didn't know where you were going that's what took me so long oh no no no no no i'll
let me do this first right but you took my hand because you knew how much i struggled with
that word and you stepped up and I feel like again when I walked to the plateau and he said I
said I'm not good with speech it just felt like such a safe space and like you knew me exactly and
you understand where I was coming from and you didn't care if the speech was Oscar worthy it just
came from the heart and I felt like with for anything my awkwardness you just don't see me
you don't see it as a negative yeah I mean you have really good moments I don't think that like
and I just want to specify I'm not awkward all the time I'm not it's not awkward my friend
That's the thing. A lot of it is the language barrier. I'm going to be honest. Like, I know I don't have an accent. But, um, that's because I'm a speech therapist. And I learn not how to have, not have to have an, see how I'm scurbs. I'm screwing up. Yeah, you, you're not to have an accent. But with my friends, I'm not that awkward. I'm like, I think with the cameras, I get. It happens. It happens, right? But anyway, to answer your question. And the crazy part is, like, she's been in like, series for acting, like, in like, Canada and everything. I'm like, how? Like, how do you do? And it's a complete 180.
Like, I've seen her reels.
I'm like, you, you memorize all, and you did all this.
And you can't, and you get on Batchel in Paradise and you can't, you can't, you can't say words.
What's the love does.
Yeah.
It makes you just exactly.
But no, it just, you made me feel so safe.
But then I saw these clips of Zendaya.
And I was like, oh my God, you guys are the exact same person.
Right.
And she's not getting crucified for it.
No, she's like super socially awkward, like in interviews.
And I was just like, this looks like, like, like, literally looks like Alex.
And it sounds like Alex.
Yeah, she'll do the finger snaps.
Anyways, I digress.
I digress.
But, yeah, it felt really nice to just feel safe enough.
It felt safe watching it.
It did.
It felt, as a viewer, it was a good moment for you and me at home being like, this is
feels really healthy and happy.
And I think you hadn't seen that throughout the season, right?
And it was the first time that we saw how, like, we can each other.
Yeah, well, some people were like, this is so random.
How do they even get to here?
It's just, you know, we, like, and that's why, like, we use the level.
thing as well. It's like, it was just like, we just kept building, you know what I mean, just kept
going, just keep stacking each day and just like trying to find each other that way instead
of like trying to create this grand, like, love story. I don't think that was in my head this,
this time around. I wasn't looking for, you know, a rom-com situation. It just, it actually just
happened. And like, that was like the best part about it. And I didn't want to like mess that up
by trying to like curate a way to make this look a certain way.
And one more thing I wanted to add is one thing that Andrew did
that really made it for me real.
And I was like, this is the kind of guy I want to be with is,
you know, I'm an open book and I will tell Shalmer's story to a lot of people.
I think that's the way I cope.
But did you, you know, I told my story, my background, how I grew up and you listen.
But one time, one night we had to make a really tough decision
and I was really in my head and I was, and he looked at me and he said,
do you think that you're, it's hard for you right now because you don't like to,
let people down and it was like there right there and then i was like wow didn't he didn't only
listen to my store but he's kind of like trying to understand why i act the way i act that was like
i just felt very heard so that is kind of like the aha moment for me i was like okay you're just
solidifying it the cutest couple in paradise i'm gonna ask you some tough questions okay good
we are going to talk about some of the not so pretty parts of paradise but before do that
I'm just going to transition into keeping on relationship topics.
Okay.
Have you talked about getting engaged?
Yeah, we flirt around with it.
We just, like I said, one step at a time, I think moving in is the next step.
We're doing long distance right now, which is, you know, pretty good since I don't, like, work, like, a nine to five.
So I'm able to travel.
Like, I'll be here for the next, like, six days.
And then I fly out somewhere.
And then, yeah, we just keep navigating.
We have a really healthy, like, phone to FaceTime ratio.
I feel like we just breathe on FaceTime nowadays.
We don't even like say words,
but it just feels like you're next to them.
Oh,
we do talk like I'll say things to,
in the future when this happens
or when I'm in Italy with my white gown.
Yeah.
But no, no, no, no, we'll talk about it.
Like what we're going to do
or things that we like to do.
Concrete or serious, like right now.
We like scrapped everything
and just started dating.
Like we took everything from Bachelor in Paradise
and we're just like, okay, reset right here.
And we just did this outside version.
My name is Ed.
Everyone say hello, Ed.
I'm from a very rural background myself.
My dad is a farmer and my mom is a cousin.
So, like, it's not like...
What do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
I know it sounds like the start of a bad joke,
but that really was my reality nine years ago.
I just normally do straight stand-up, but this is a bit different.
On stage stood a comedian with a story that no one expected to hear.
Well, 22nd of July 2015, a 23-year-old man had killed his family.
And then he came to my house.
So what do you get when a true crime producer walks into a comedy club?
A new podcast called Wisecrack, where stand-up comedy and murder takes center stage.
Available now.

My boyfriend's professor is way too friendly, and now I'm seriously suspicious.
Well, wait a minute, Sam, maybe her boyfriend's just looking for extra credit.
Well, Dakota, it's back to school week on the OK Storytime podcast, so we'll find out soon.
This person writes, my boyfriend has been hanging out with his young professor a lot.
He doesn't think it's a problem, but I don't trust her.
Now, he's insisting we get to know each other, but I just want her gone.
Now hold up, isn't that against school policy?
That sounds totally inappropriate.
Well, according to this person, this is her boyfriend's former professor, and they're the same age.
It's even more likely that they're cheating.
He insists there's nothing between them.
I mean, do you believe him?
Well, he's certainly trying to get this person to believe him because he now wants them both to meet.
So, do we find out if this person's boyfriend really cheated with his professor or not?

December 29th, 1975, LaGuardia Airport.
The holiday rush, parents hauling luggage, kids gripping their new Christmas toys.
Then, at 6.33 p.m., everything changed.
There's been a bombing at the TWA terminal.
Apparently, the explosion actually impelled metal, glass.
The injured were being loaded into ambulances.
Just a chaotic, chaotic scene.
In its wake, a new kind of enemy emerged, and it was here to stay.
Terrorism.

Hey, sis, what if I could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance, bro?
Tell you how to manage your money again.
Welcome to Brown Ambition.
This is the hard part when you pay down those credit cards.
If you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit cards,
you may just recreate the same problem a year from now.
When you do feel like you are bleeding from these high interest rates,
I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with your,
local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they
tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive
in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card
debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's
nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're
avoiding it. And in fact, it may get even worse. For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown
ambition on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.

My wife and I dated
long distance for three years.
That's very different parts.
Did you guys have FaceTime at that time?
We had FaceTime.
Send doves.
But one
yeah she uh we're writing letters and hoping she got it the week later um we had one rule
in our relationship long distance and it was never leave each other without having the next
visit planned so it could be a month from now it could be two months from now but we knew when
we were going to see each other again yeah i love that idea excited it helped just keep us like
in a rhythm yeah what do you want to do when we for this day yeah you could just start planning
things that's a really good idea i tell my one piece of advice
would be
don't leave each other
without at least
some meeting
on the books.
I love that.
You know,
obviously a huge
moment during the
reunion and Paradise
was this tweet
social media
conversation
and lack of support
that felt like
wasn't given to the right
people at the right time.
I just want to give you to
the really
because I could ask the questions
it felt like I would
just make it more confusing.
Yeah.
I want to give you to
the opportunity
to speak and
that situation in as much transparency as you can on why you made the decisions you did,
what your intentions were behind it, and where you think you went wrong or where maybe the
communication wasn't clear.
I'll start because then, yeah.
So I, as I've mentioned before, you know, going into Paradise, I was really close with
Jeremy and we would FaceTime pretty much every day as friends.
And he had told me that he was friends with, he was really interested in Bailey.
So going in, I knew that.
And so I would say I had a stronger relationship.
with Jeremy at the time. And then I was rooming with Bailey and, you know, I wasn't close with
her before, but I've ruined to really, really, you know, like her. So when the whole Susie thing
happened, knowing Jeremy, I just thought that it was a moment of, I think of weakness where, you know,
his ego was bruised. I think it was, dude, I think it was an idiot move. Absolutely. But I think
it was on a spur of the moment, like, oh, you told me you wanted me and then you want to go,
let me call Susie. Still not okay. Had I known,
what I know now. And regardless, I should have just told her. I regret that and I've owned up to it.
And then the next day, you know, he told me that they had talked, not necessarily about that phone call, but they had talked and they were good with the date and everything.
So I saw the potential in the relationship and I knew how much he liked her because he told me on the side.
He was like, I really like Bailey. And especially that Susie was in the picture and that he said that he was interested in Susie too for him to pick Bailey.
I was like he must really like her.
So I didn't see me telling Bailey beneficial to her and their relationship.
And that is the only reason I didn't tell her was kind of to support Jeremy and me like
you acted like a fool.
You have to tell her and you will.
I thought he was going to do it.
But yeah, that was basically.
Was there ever a moment that you felt like I should tell her?
No, because I didn't know the extent.
I really didn't think the phone call was a big deal.
That was a moment in time where did you tell her?
We should tell her, okay, move on and I locked in on Andrew,
and we never thought about it again.
I didn't even think it was going to be a conversation in the whole season.
Never thought about it.
I was like, oh, it's done, perfect.
He acting like a fool, you know?
Never.
Until, you know, of course, when producers come in, they're like,
it's going to look bad.
And you're like, I was so confused.
I was like, it's going to look bad.
What do you mean everyone?
No, I didn't know everyone knew.
Yeah.
I thought he had come to me and Andrew, but, yeah, you know,
hindsight's always 2020.
And it's tough, but, and then I'll,
Anything to add?
Yeah, I have a different, like, point of view of it.
Like, if people, like, been watching me for a while, I don't.
Like, every single season I've been on, I've had the exact same thing happen.
Literally.
First season was a Bachelorette.
I got mad at a couple people for telling on Thomas.
I'm like, like, why are you wasting time trying to talk about someone else's relationship other than yours?
And then it happened in Paradise with me when I was dating Brittany.
Casey had, like, was trying to talk about how Pizza Pete's Pete called her a cloud
chaser while I was with her. I was just like, what is your angle? Like, what do you, what do you
stand in the game for this? Like, I don't understand when people try to intervene themselves in
someone else's relationship. I just felt like it's like a, I want to be a hero type of thing.
So that's just for me. For the Bryan situation, it's completely different. I believe that it was
just not my business. I, right off the jump when Jeremy told me, I was like, bro, you should
tell her, like, you're omitting information. Like, that's worse than, like, I mean, it's lying.
And he's like, oh, it's whatever, it's not a big deal.
I mean, like, it's whatever.
Like, it literally was not an apparent conversation that happened throughout weeks.
Like, I didn't even think about it.
And to me, too, I was like, you know, I told him, I said, you know, they're going to air this.
And he was like, no, like, we're good.
It's not a big deal.
So I thought, in my head, I was like, okay, must really not be a big deal.
If you're so confident, then they're not going to air it.
And then, like, and then we're watching Bailey and John, or Jeremy grow.
And we're just like, oh, wow, this is a really good, solid couple.
Like, why would anyone even, like, think of.
of like trying to ruin that unless it's for personal gain.
So like that's my thing.
And then like going into the whole brocode thing, like, here's my thing.
I'm going to tell you.
I still stand on it.
Like I think, I think the way it was edited, it was turned like my conversation with what's his name, Brian, a different way.
My thing was is like you're seeing with him running on the beach.
Like I'm with these guys and I'm seeing him.
I'm like, oh, dang, Jeremy and Brian are up at it early.
eating lunch together
either eating breakfast together
Brian is in Jeremy's room
nonstop
him Jeremy and Dale
three peas in a pod
like you wouldn't have known
that Jonathan was Brian's roommate
because he was always in Jeremy's room
and I'm just like
that is so odd to me
that my friend wouldn't come tell me
and be like hey man I think you're being an asshole
and you need to go tell her if you don't
I'm going to go tell her
then I'm like that is not a good friend
Bro code probably
shitty word to use
Obviously it's gotten tarnished
But that's not the brocode I live by
The brocode I live by is like
If my friend is doing something
I'm gonna check him
And hold him accountable for it
Okay, but it's not my job
To do it for him
You know what I mean?
It's not my responsibility
It is Jeremy's responsibility only
To tell her
You know what I mean?
And then when he did
Like she still like
Took him back
So it's like
Who was the whole
point of telling it saying anything you know what i mean so it was never my business in the
to begin with because people are going to do whatever they want to do so that's why i was like i
always stay out of it obviously you're in a whole different situation being a roommate and i and i
feel for bailey for that like but for me and for a lot of the people who well who like besides like
brian brian had every right to tell her not i was never mad at him for telling it's just it was sleazy
You knew you could tell it wasn't because that he felt like Bailey should know.
If that was the case, he would have said it soon as Jeremy said something, he should have told.
But he waited until, like, Jeremy dangled, like, letting him go over his head one episode, doing the Godfather thing.
And he's like, I won't take B and talk to you lightly.
Like, I'm just like, the evidence is there.
But nothing wrong with him telling.
I just knew in that moment's intentions were not pure.
and it's just, and we didn't know the full conversation
and the full damage of what was going on.
So like in my eyes, I was just like, oh, it's just a phone call.
Like, why are you going behind his back to talk about a phone call?
Like, there's a moment of lapse.
Like, that's something he should have said.
Looking back on it, it was pretty bad.
You know what I mean?
Just obviously seeing that and watching that back,
I feel for Bailey, like, that sucks in that situation.
And I see Brian's point.
But my thing is Brian did it at an opportune time for himself.
he did not do it when it first happened
then he waited for like
didn't even know that secret rendezvous was going to happen
so what happens the rendezvous challenge never happened
do you not say anything
you know what I mean like that's the
that's what I'm well and it's aired
no you're right and it's aired
and the two of them are together
and that's what's important today
I think we need to celebrate that
is I just sat with them
with Bailey and Jeremy and they're as strong
as I could have ever expected
and we saw that yeah and this was a
small little blimp on your guys's
beautiful story.
Final question for you.
You got a lot of money.
How much money did you get from this?
$125, yeah.
Where's that money going?
Well, we signed,
so we're both getting split
like $62 something.
I offered to give her my half,
but she said no.
But the 60's still on the table
if she wants to take it,
but we'll just figure out
if we want to do something together.
I said no by courtesy, baby.
don't beg me for me I think financially the smartest move I mean I mean the conversion rate
Canadian to U.S. is pretty good so I'm going to try to pay as much as my student loan as I can
I think that's the smartest move I wish I had I could use that money to save up for a house but
it's going to go to the student loans unfortunately it's nice of you Andrew to offer that to you
and we're so happy as a bachelor nation that you're going to be able to help pay off some of those student
loans that's so exciting a whole new chapter in life not only
financially, but also romantically.
Yeah.
We're celebrating you here.
Congratulations again to the cutest couple to come from Bachelor in Paradise this season.
