Unfortunately for Mark Lombardo, this was the choice he faced.

I just normally do straight stand-up,
but this is a bit different.
What do you get when a true crime producer
walks into a comedy club?
Answer, a new podcast called Wisecrack,
where a comedian finds himself
at the center of a chilling true crime story.
Does anyone know what show they've come to see?
It's a story.
It's about the scariest night of my life.
This is Wisecrack, available now.

This is the Ben and Ashley I, Almost Famous Podcast with IHart Radio.
It's time for the Almost Famous Podcast.
Yes, today we have Bachelor headlines, and we have a friend of the podcast, a friend to all, somebody admired in Bachelor Nation.
I am talking about Ashley Ikenetti.
Hello, Ashley.
Nah, he's joking.
We have Rodney Matthews on.
Rodney, today we're going to do Bachelor headlines.
I'm sure you've listened to the podcast every week, so you know how this works.
We're going to break down the headline.
We comment on it.
Sometimes we know nothing about these people, but we get to get the details of their life going on.
The first headline I want to speak to a little bit about, and we're going to speak to it later on in more detail during a in-depth interview with you, which we cannot wait to do.
It's going to be posted very soon on the almost famous thread is about your love life.
Rodney, you and your girlfriend have moved in together.
It's getting serious.
Yes, yeah.
We just recently moved in together about a week or so ago.
So we've been dating for five months,
and it's really been the best five months of my life, clearly enough.
So if it's gotten to that point.
So it's one of those things when you know, you know.
So I'm really excited to talk about that and moving all in my life.
We cannot wait to dig into all the details of this relationship.
Again, that's going to be in the end.
depth interview with Rodney. Now, on to other people, Rodney. We're not going to talk about you the
whole time yet. Bachelor's Tia Booth marries in romantic, sexy wedding. I've never seen
sexy in a wedding put together. That's interesting. But Ben, grown sexy. Don't you,
you don't remember this? Because I don't even think you watched back then. Do you remember Rodney?
A little bit, a little bit. Oh, he's a long time Bachelor fan. Catherine made the biggest
deal about her and
Sean's wedding. The theme
grown sexy
which I was like grown like
plants like grow like
I just kept thinking like growing
like something was growing
but it was grown as in grown up
sexy that was her theme and throughout
the whole wedding special
she kept using this phrase
and it was kind of like hilarious because it was driving
everyone crazy. I have never
heard this before
so I guess sexy is a part of wedding
I'm glad Rodney knows this.
The quote from Tia is, I've waited a long time for this day.
Ashley, break it down.
All right.
Well, their wedding had 225 people there.
They had their son there, of course, and her fiance now husband, Taylor,
walked down the aisle holding him.
He turns one in December.
And it was at Diamond Creek Farms in Nashville.
Have you ever been there, Ben?
I haven't, no.
Have you heard of it?
No.
Oh, okay. So it looked beautiful. I am sure Jessica has. Yeah. So the overall vibe was, as you said, sexy and romantic with a moody color scheme. It was neutrals with black accents, pop of like a champagne color and gold and metallics. They have, they had like, like, it's a lot of detail, which I really liked. So her dad passed away in February 2022 and they had multiple dedications to him. They walked down the aisle, she walked down the aisle to Drew.
Drew Irwin, who I don't know, his cover of Look After You by The Fray.
And this was a song that, you know, obviously it means a lot.
It's like, look after you.
And they also, when they said, who gives this woman to be married to this man,
everybody in the audience took a shot of tequila, which was her dad's go-to drink.
It's really sweet.
I really like that.
They also exchanged handwritten vows.
They said we're already best friends and made a commitment to each other as Tatum's parents.
So we're excited to make things officially official in front of our friends and family.
And they also said that they were either going to a lope or do it big.
And that is something that I also very much like.
That was kind of like my thought is like, you either go really small or you go really big.
They did not want to do anywhere in the middle.
And then she had a dress change.
She wore long sleeves and high neckline when she walked down the aisle.
It's a really beautiful wedding.
Rodney, this, you know, this stage in life, I think it feels like bachelor's
nation is getting married or, you know, the babies are really popular now.
There's a lot of marriages lately.
Remind us how many people, has anybody been now married from your season?
No, they have not.
We have one guy, one guy who's actually getting married this weekend is,
Martin from my season, from Michelle's season.
So it's been two years since your season aired.
So, yeah, it's like now it's beginning to be like, okay, you had a year of dating,
you had a year of planning, you met eventually.
Yeah, so it's kind of.
That's all I can think of right now.
So not too many so far, but I could feel that it's starting to come along.
Yeah.
Hey, Ben.
Yes.
Guess who was the orchestra?
I'm going to imagine the George Khan Orchestra.
yes of course they're the best they're also a bachelor nation's choice now yeah uh rodney one day when
you get married i'm just telling you right now they are the absolute best wedding band in the world
they are so good uh ashlyn and i both had them at our wedding so all right next headline is this
teddy wright gets a marriage license with fiancee nicholas all that's left to do is get
married she says this relationship has happened really fast but it seems like you know like you said
earlier in the podcast when you know you know.
So they announced their relationship last December.
And in April, they got engaged and they are getting
married this weekend.
Rodney, any comments?
That's really exciting for Teddy.
Like I said, sadly, I've only met her once, but I know how exciting
this could be for her in the few times that we spoke and everyone that's
spoken about her saying is the same thing.
She knew pretty instantly that this was going to be the man for her.
And it's nice to see that it's progress.
pressing so quickly. So yeah, I'm happy for her. I know everyone's excited for Teddy.
And then side note on Tia and Taylor, I just now remember that I was there at the proposal
last year with Becca while I was on tour for Bachelor Live on stage.
That's right. It just hit me. I'm like, oh my God, like I was there during that moment.
I was trying to figure out if it was the exact same date. But yeah, it was out in Atlanta
when we were on tour with Becca. So it was a fun, it was a very fun night. But it's nice to see
all this love and vaccination. That's so cool. That's awesome. What a deal. I've,
I've only seen two people get engaged in my life and it's both been kind of like surprises.
It makes me nervous. Like I'm watching sometimes from a distance not knowing the people and I'm
like, I'm giddy and nervous and anxious for that guy or that girl because that is one of the
most intimidating moments of your life. Let me tell you. And Tia actually didn't know when she
got proposed to that she was also pregnant.
Well, how about that?
Surprise, surprise.

He said, you are a number, a New York state number, and we own you.
Shock incarceration, also known as boot camp.
are short-term, highly regimented correctional programs
that mimic military basic training.
These programs aim to provide a shock of prison life,
emphasizing strict discipline, physical training,
hard labor, and rehabilitation programs.
Mark had one chance to complete this program
and had no idea of the hell awaiting him the next six months.
The first night was so overwhelming,
and you don't know who's next to you.

hey sis what if i could promise you you never had to listen to a condescending finance bro tell you
how to manage your money again welcome to brown ambition this is the hard part when you pay down those
credit cards if you haven't gotten to the bottom of why you were racking up credit or turning to credit
cards you may just recreate the same problem a year from now when you do feel like you are bleeding
from these high interest rates, I would start shopping for a debt consolidation loan, starting with
your local credit union, shopping around online, looking for some online lenders because they
tend to have fewer fees and be more affordable. Listen, I am not here to judge. It is so expensive
in these streets. I 100% can see how in just a few months you can have this much credit card
debt when it weighs on you. It's really easy to just like stick your head in the sand. It's
nice and dark in the sand. Even if it's scary, it's not going to go away just because you're avoiding
it, and in fact, it may get even worse.
For more judgment-free money advice, listen to Brown Ambition on the IHeartRadio app,

Hey, Rodney, this last weekend, we were at Chris Harrison's wedding.
I saw it.
I'm glad we're talking about it because I really want to ask you to.
I was like, it looked like a lot of fun.
Yeah, it was a blast.
I'm telling us.
We did a whole breakdown that's now posted on our thread.
But Rodney, let me tell you.
You know, you get it.
Your season of guys, especially, are very close.
And so when you, you know, time happens and relationships happen and life happens.
And you start to, you just don't see the people as much.
Like, you know, you still love them and care, but you just don't see them as much.
And so when you have like little reunions like this years later, it is the most fun.
It is incredible.
But there was this element, you know, where we, anytime you go to a reunion, there's
going to be people that have dated each other from the show before, either via paradise or just
from the seasons that happened. And Jason Tardick and Caitlin Bristow, obviously, were a very popular
couple in Bachelor Nation. They broke up, you know, three months ago. It was a big deal. It still is a
big deal. They were both at this wedding. And here's the headline. We talked about it again in detail
during the breakdown. But the headline, just to kind of revisit this subject, is Jason Tardick and
Caitlin Bristow have a great reunion three months after split.
So basically the audience, the fandom, Bachelor Nation, got to hear from us.
I'm sure they'll get to hear from Caitlin on her podcast, but they saw it on Instagram when
she posted a picture, congratulations, Chris and Lauren, love this incestuous family so much.
I told Chris, I'm going to need three to five business dates to recover from the most perfect
wedding of all time.
I love, love.
and Jason wrote in the comments,
it was great seeing you, KB.
And then she responded directly at him,
great seeing you to JT, RIP to the dance lore,
because we all killed it.
It was great.
Rodney, they, we talked about it.
We were just all very impressed
that they did it the way they did it.
Like they confronted it.
They made it awkward for like two seconds
and then it wasn't for the rest of the weekend,
which was really just like I learned a lot from them.
I don't think I would have handled it the same way just because I'm probably a lot more immature.
No, Ben, we all know that you say that, but you would have been amazing.
But it was really special to see how just like nice they made it and how much they focused on Chris and Lauren's wedding.
Well, this headline is super impressive to me.
We had Zach Clark on an episode a few months ago talking about addiction.
the response was really incredible from all of the listeners just who have dealt with it
or have a family member dealing with it. Zach opened up, share a lot of wisdom and advice.
Well, he, Joe, grocery store Joe, Matt and Matt James all ran the New York City Marathon this last weekend.
They had some incredibly impressive times. Ashley, you know, I haven't read this breakdown yet.
one out of all of them, I know all of them should be really proud of the times that they,
you know, well, they just did it. I think they should be proud of the fact that they just did
it first and the times that they had. I'm so curious as to what Zach's is. I don't know that
he announced it. And if he did, he didn't announce it on his main feed. We only have the
numbers for Matt James and for Joe. Matt's was a new personal best at three hours and four, I guess
three hours and four minutes.
That's great.
And then Joe got three hours in 58 minutes, and he ran with Zach for Zach's foundation release
recovery, which if you guys listened to our podcast with him, he talked all about.
It's a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that all who are ready and willing to seek professional
treatment for substance abuse are able to.
Just don't know.
Just don't know what Zach got.
but I feel like Zach is just like a professional runner
for some reason and I'm sure he got
a very impressive score.
Yeah, I'm doing a little
quick math here.
It feels like
Matt James ran somewhere around
a 710 mile on average
for the whole thing to go to 304.
That's incredible.
Wow.
Yeah. Rodney, have you done a marathon?
I haven't. I was just talking
my girlfriend about it recently. I'm like
I got to build myself up
to get to that level because that just takes
so much discipline but I love it especially from those three I'm like man I love it way to lead
the way yeah I need you know I'm 34 I need something in my life to push me to do something good
for myself and I and I feel like a marathon is kind of like always staring me in the face and I just
have a hard time getting my mind wrapped around running that far uh for that long my boggling
everybody who listens to this podcast knows that like I go on a bi-monthly rant about how I have
no idea how people do this.
It's so crazy to me.
But one day, Ben, one day, we're going to do one.
You know, I just did the Malibu Triathlon.
It's a spring.
It's still really fun and it's still, you know, you train for and everything.
But I showed up and there are some guys that are in some recent seasons of The Bachelor there.
And it was really great.
I didn't know they were going to be there.
I kind of saw them at the end.
But I was like, how cool would it be if the people interested in doing,
a triathlon or a marathon or something of that from the bachelor world all we said hey let's hold
each other accountable and go do it um i think it would be fun so maybe one day rodney i can see you at
the finish line at one of these events um and we can celebrate together yeah we need to get pushed
i found zach's time what is his time it's three hours and 41 minutes and 16 seconds so he
plays his right in between the two guys i mean that's it's so good i i have a feeling zach is like a very
Mick Runner. I don't think he's out there to win the race. I think he's out there to do it well
and have fun with it. Um, Zach's a good runner. He's like a part of the New York. Matt's got his long
legs. Yeah, Matt's got. If you look at Matt, I mean, he just looks like a dude that could run like
five minute miles for seven hours straight. These guys are athletes. Athletes. Um, Leslie Murphy
welcomes a second baby girl, Lily James. And she says this. This is a big comment. Fam is now complete.
Mm-hmm. Yeah, she said, fam is complete. Everybody's over the moon. Lily James was born on November 2nd. She said, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. We're all doing great. And, you know, we have Bachelor Nation chiming in with all their congrats. Tenley, Sarah Heron, Claire Crawley, Raven. Really, really happy for them. Congratulations. And yeah, families can feel complete. That's how I'm going to feel after our second's born, too. Okay, we're done.
are you going to make uh are you going to make jerry get the snip snip um i don't know i've been thinking
about that recently but i also hear like horror stories from horror stories quote quote from it
where people are like like somehow the opening like opens up a few months later and you're pregnant
again so i'm like i don't know i like beyond birth control because my my i like to block out all those
hormones my skin loves birth control
Oh, goodness.
Well, good for Jared, I guess.

and all the issues affecting our Latin community.
You feel like you get a little whitewash because you have to do that.

This headline is really sweet, and we have gotten to see the Golden Bachelor episode this week, Rodney.
and I will say that this
headline kind of comes full circle
once you watch
this week's episode. But we're
going to say it anyways because I think it's a great tease
to then go into the Golden Bachelor
here later this week.
The Golden Bachelor, Susan,
discusses Chris Jenner comparison
and if she's heard from Chris.
Now, Rodney, first question is, have you been watching
the Golden Bachelor?
Sadly, I have not. All my friends have gotten
on my case saying I need to watch it because
it's one of the best seasons ever.
well it's a quick watch like you can basically be cut up with five hours like if you just like have
an off day just five hours and you're done i'm gonna have to binge it later tonight yeah it's really
good but susan is a is a really a lovable character who you know is no longer on the golden
bachelor uh gary did send her home but she looks just like chris jenner uh and has like a very
big bubbly personality and so that's where this is coming from she's been getting tons of
comparison. So Ashley, what does she say? Yeah, so she says that Chris has not reached out yet,
even though Chris is a vocal fan of the Bachelor franchise. She said that for 30 years,
wherever she goes, Atlantic City, the Bahamas, Italy, somebody has said it, but she's never
been asked for an autograph. She also says it would be a dream come true to meet her. And this is
where I think it gets really funny. She goes, I think I remind people of her because of my short,
dark hair and when I wear makeup. She goes, and poor Kathy is getting Caitlin. But Caitlin
does look fabulous right now.
Kathy and Susan
have really been leading into the whole
Caitlin and Chris thing on social media.
It's like a big joke.
And then even Kathy said
Susan and Kathy,
we became great pals during the filming.
Call us Chris and Caitlin.
We are friends and we love being golden.
So even Kathy's leading into it.
And again,
there is a teaser this week
where I think I could say
Christianer may just make an appearance.
Oh, really?
So everybody can stay tuned to that.
That is not ruining anything.
But you can just be excited about the idea that Christianer just may be making an appearance.
I love how no matter how big Christianer gets,
because I just do feel like she gets more and more epic every year.
She still is a loyal bachelor friend.
She still finds time for the franchise during her week somehow.
Why not?
Why not?
It's great.
I hosted a show with Christianer once.
The after show.
She came in for the whole show.
Yeah.
She came in for the whole show.
And then Kim was there in like the dressing room.
Wait, Kim was in the back.
Because I went there.
They let me go in the crowd because they were like, you know, no.
Yeah.
I think I remember that.
I've met them all somehow.
But yes, it was wild.
It was like the whole, like it was a very weird moment to like see the family operate not with cameras in their face.
Oh my gosh.
Because they were like just a very nice family.
Okay.
this is a huge headline um i saw this posted i think like us weekly kind of shared this this week
and i i was confused by this headline because for for most of the season i believe they're best
friends they were so close and i really have no backstory to this so ashley i'm very excited or
interested i guess not excited this is a sad headline i'm interested and if you know anything more
than i do or maybe you do rodney i don't know
The headline's this.
Why Caitlin Bristow says Dancing with the Stars pro
Alan Bernstein won't speak to her.
Okay, so she was on Cheryl Burke's podcast on November 6th, that episode.
And she said that when she last went to the Dancing with the Stars set,
still won't talk to her,
says he walked right past me on Dancing with the Stars.
He won't call me back.
And I profusely apologize on my podcast.
And she says apologize on her podcast because she's obviously,
trying to get in touch of them and apologize in a more personal way.
But so what happened was back in September, she said on her podcast, she goes, well, she
said, Alan's a dick.
But then she's trying to, she defends what she was saying and gives a little more context
to it on the podcast with Cheryl, saying that like, I started describing how each of,
each one of them, in my opinion, were in the ballroom, you know, what their general aura is.
And I said, you know, Alan's like, he's really going to push you.
he's kind of a dick and then i said actually artem will really push you actually they're all
kind of dicks but they're lovable dicks allan again is one of my closest friends out of the
whole show so i'm just like can you please pick up my phone call but he will not respond not talk to me
it's sad so i don't know whether i'm i'm assuming for him to not talk to her
he must have actually gone and listened to the original podcast episode and heard the
context and maybe he still didn't like it.
Here's a deal.
Here's a question for you, Rodney.
You're offended by something somebody says.
It happens, you know, I'm a very sensitive, insecure soul.
And so people can say things and it like stabs me fairly often.
In fact, it just happened last night.
I just called my buddy.
I was like, what would you think if somebody said this to you?
And he was like, yeah, that's just, you know, kind of a jerk.
It's a thing to say.
So if somebody says something publicly, like on a podcast about you, like, hey, Rodney is a really tough coach.
He is really mean.
But he's a lovable mean, you know, that kind of thing.
And they go to a podcast and say, would it make you want to reach out to them more or less?
Like, do you think Caitlin's speaking about this publicly and saying, hey, now, you know, Rodney won't even picking my phone calls?
Would that make you want to say, hey, it's time to.
settle this or say no i'm not diving to the deep end that's a great question honestly i i'd probably
say less because at that point that person can reach out to me i'm i obviously we're we're human
being so i can be sensitive at times too um but i know that i'm more so of a you know i'll forgive
but i won't forget and it's just like hey if you said something about me please address it to me
face to face instead of, you know, going on podcast and stuff like that. So, yeah, I'm just
one of those people where if something said about me, just address it with me and we'll take care
of it. And I'll, you know, I'll definitely still forgive, but it's like, I can't forget that
you said something and spoke on my character when most people who know me wouldn't, wouldn't say
that about me, you know, if that were please. Yeah. Ashley, what about you? Yeah, I don't know.
This is a tough situation. It would all be about the tone, um, eventually.
Yeah, it's got to be about the tone
And if they're like really close friends
I would imagine that the tone
Couldn't have been too serious
I would probably be like
Yeah, I know, that's what I mean
I don't know, I would probably be like
What?
Why did you call me that?
Like what?
That's really, that's so weird
I would be like, that's like kind of
just like weird that you said that
And then I'd probably let it go.
Yeah, well, and I think knowing Caitlin
Like Caitlin is the thing
thing we all love about her. But the thing that gets her into trouble is she and why she's a great
podcast. She is an open book. Like she just says what's on her mind. She says it. And then like I bet
99% of time after a podcast, she's like, goodness gracious, I probably, I shouldn't have said that.
Yeah. Like it's just the way she is. Yeah. I don't think she means anything by it. But he,
he must have taken offense to it. Yeah. I don't know. You got to say something pretty bad to get me
like that mad where I'm not going to talk to you. And was this her partner on dancing
the star. No. No. Oh, it wasn't. I thought it was. So Ardham was her partner? Yeah. But she calls
Artem a dick too in the original podcast. Maybe nobody's talking to Caitlin. I don't know.
We all love Caitlin. Jason's talking to Caitlin. Yeah. I guess, yeah. She's back in the game again.
We all love Caitlin. I love that she's wildly outrageous and says stuff all the time. Okay, that's all the
headlines we have for you today. Rodney, again, you're coming back for an in-depth episode. We're
going to talk about your love life. We're going to talk about all the things going on
in your life. We're going to talk about the football season that I enjoyed following via social
media. We got a lot to catch up with you on. The lovable Rodney will be back for an in-depth
episode. But until that episode, and until next time, I've been Ben. I've been Ashley.
Well, I'm Rodney. That's perfect. Bye.

What would you do if one bad decision forced you to choose
between a maximum security prison
